Rifle Squad

The Rifle Squad consists of two four-man fire teams and one GPMG team. Each fire team has two riflemen, one machinegunner, and one team leader, armed with L130A1 DR-83M Tactical Rifles, the L131A1 DMG-83 Squad Machine Gun and the L130A1 DR-83M Tactical Rifle/L107A2 40mm Underbarrel Grenade Launcher, respectively. The GPMG team has three members, consisting of a machine gunner, a loader and a spotter, armed with the L116A2 7.62mm Light Machine Gun, a L105A2 MP7A1 Personal Defense Weapon, and a L130A1 DR-83M Tactical Rifle respectively. Each of the squad's eleven Royal Marines is equipped with the necessary amount of grenades and disposable anti-tank weapon that is needed on a mission-to-mission basis. Each Royal Marine is also issued with a L129A1 TDX pistol by default. The Rifle Squad is the lowest unit in the organizational hierarchy of the Royal Marines, and is commanded by a fenrik (Ensign).

Support Squad

The Support Squad consists of a Javelin ATGM team, a light mortar team, and a marksman team. The Javelin ATGM team consists of two Royal Marines, one anti-tank soldier and one spotter, armed with a Javelin Command Launch Unit (CLU)/L105A1 MP7A1 Personal Defense Weapon and a L130A1 DR-83M Tactical Rifle, respectively. The Light Mortar Team consists of six Royal Marines manning two 60mm light mortars. The gunners carry the actual mortars themselves and are armed only with the L129A1 TDX pistol, while the loader is armed with a L106A1 Tactical Shotgun. The ammo bearer is armed with a L130A1 DR-83M Tactical Rifle, and carries most of the 60mm ammunition for the mortars when the team is dismounted. The marksman team consists of a sniper and a spotter, armed with the L125A1 Outbreak sniper rifle and the L130A2 DR-83M.II Tactical Rifle. Each Support Squad consists of ten Royal Marines, and is commanded by a løytnant (Lieutenant Junior Grade).

Rifle Platoon

Each Rifle Platoon consists of four Rifle Squads with a total of forty-four Royal Marines at its disposal, giving it a lot of firepower and fighting capabilities, meaning that it's able to conduct both offensive and defensive operations with a high degree of flexibility and firepower. Each Rifle Platoon is commanded by a løytnant (Lieutenant Junior Grade).

Support Platoon

Each Support Platoon consists of four Support Squads with a total of forty Royal Marines, and is primarily responsible for supporting the Rifle Squads and Platoons with its equipment. It is a fearsome unit on its own right, but its fighting capabilities are greatly improved by the Rifle Platoons, which it is designed to support and supplement. Each Support Platoon is commanded by a løytnant (Lieutenant Junior Grade).

Company

The smallest unit able to conduct autonomous operations, the Company is the unit that brings the true capabilities of the Royal Marines together into one fighting ready package. Consisting of three Rifle Platoons and one Support Platoon, commanded by a two-man Company Command, namely the company commander and his radioman, both of them being armed with the L130A1 DR-83M Tactical Rifle, to a total of one hundred seventy-four Royal Marines. The Company is commanded by a kapteinløytnant (Lieutenant).

Battalion

Each Battalion consists of three Companies, a Medium Mortar Platoon, an Air Defense Platoon, and the Battalion Command, combining into a unit which is extremely potent in the battlefield against all foes, whether they be infantry, armor and aircraft. Each Medium Mortar Platoon consists of four 81mm Mortar Teams, each of which consists of five men manning a 81mm Medium Mortar. The mortar team consists of one gunner, one loader, two ammo bearers, and one commander, armed exactly like the 60mm mortar team, with the exception of the commander, who isn't present in the TO&E of the 60mm mortar team. He is armed with the L130A1 DR-83M Tactical Rifle. The Air Defense Platoon consists of eight Short-Range SAM Teams, which are two-man teams armed with a BLM.32A Wizard MANPAD launcher and Wizard missiles for the launcher. Each of the two Royal Marines in the team is armed with a L123A2 UMP submachine gun in addition to the pistol. The Battalion Command is a small command post which is responsible for co-ordinating the efforts of the various sub-units of the battalion, and consists of the battalion commanding officer with the rank of kommandørkaptein (Commander), the executive officer with the rank of orlogskaptein (Lieutenant Commander), an operations officer, and two radiomen, all armed with the L130A1 DR-83M Tactical Rifle. The Battalion consists of a total of five hundred sixty-three Royal Marines.

Regiment

The Regiment consists of three Battalions, a Regimental Command Post similar to the one found on battalion-level to co-ordinate the actions of the sub-units of the Regiment, and a Marine Recon Platoon. The Marine Recon Platoon is the Cottish equivalent of Force Recon, and consists of three eight-man squads armed with slightly modified L130A1 DR-83M Tactical Rifles/L107A2 40mm Underbarrel Grenade Launchers and L131A1 DMG-83 Squad Machine Guns. These Royal Marines are issued silencers/suppressors for their weapons, as well as advanced scope optics and other equipment not normally seen with the regular Royal Marines. The reason for this is simple: They are to infiltrate areas before the main force arrives and gather information and intelligence, and therefore they must be as undetected as possible, and if detected, be able to fight their way out of there without attracting too much attention. The Marine Recon Platoon is commanded by a kapteinløytnant (Lieutenant). Each Regiment consists of one thousand seven hundred eighteen Royal Marines, and is commanded by a kommandør (Captain [Navy]).

The Regiment is the de facto highest pue naval infantry unit with the Royal Marines, although the hierarchy goes up to Brigade and Division, each of which consists of three Regiments (and a Brigade Command) and three Brigades (and a Division Command) with five thousand one hundred seventy and ten thousand three hundred sixty Royal Marines, respectively. These are however no longer in use on the battlefields, and only used as administrative paper formations.

Unit Description: Force Shadow is the second most elite BOG within the Imperial Layartebian Military. Next to Force Viper and Force Falcon, they are the most secretive unit in existence. They were formed to supplement the 2nd BOG Force Thunder in their counter-terrorism role. However, Force Shadow was formed specifically to counter the threat of the Illuminati and their mercenaries. The tactics of the 15th BOG are extremely unconventional and they are akin to a state-sponsored terrorist group. Their primary mission is to eliminate the leadership and members of this specific terrorist group, wherever they exist in the world.


Force Shadow has been secretly created some time ago to respond to the threat of the RLA but evolved into much more. Nice addition to RTL, Lay. Especially interesting is that the Empire can listen to all of our secure (or that we think are secure) channels. Actually that's a bit scary. I also assume you won't be sharing this capability nor the knowledge that you have it with anyone. I know I wouldn't share that information with anyone if I had it, hell I wouldn't even share any information about researching the topic for fear of someone else developing it.

I've got Vladimir, Nizhny Novgorod, Tambov, Mordvinia and Ryazan, aka the "Pantheaa Occupation Zone" (POZ) for now. Nero, Pushka, can I convince any of you to take the 300 000 ex-Pantheans that didn't flee when my army marched through the lands? Yeah, I'm making Stalin look like a good guy.... :P

That's true but that's too noticible. A "Liberty" ship sailing in the Atlantic with them sealed in the cargo holds and below decks and then just sink the ship. Well it's easy for a ship to disappear when no one is expecting it to make port :). You can sink it quietly too by just flooding it and what not. You can definitely cram a ton of them into the ship too...

Brink is doing it by region and I did it by administrative division. Please submit the number of teams to be proportional to your size. That means someone the size of Cymrea (sorry bud but you're a number I know cuz I just did it) wouldn't submit fifteen teams but someone as large as Cotland or Marimaia could easily go for ten. So please, mosey on over and let's have some soccer fun shall we?

I don't know if I've mentioned this but people you can download the world map, it's a png and all the other maps and make your own if you want. I took the world map and made just the Empire and its administrative divisions. It's fun.

In other news decided to quit smoking, realized that its A. costs me way too much (how does 75 dollars a month sound?) B. added with all the dust I get from working at a factory fucks up my lungs way more then it should. Got 4 cigs left in my pack not going to buy another one so wish me luck. My goal is to be like my friend Jim, he quit last year he can basically not smoke for a couple of months then smoke a cig or too at a party and then not smoke for another couple of months, he tells me its hard to start (especially since the people he hung out with most the time, all four of us were smoking all the time in his room) but he felt good about it afterwards.

Psst, DayQuil is for kids the only thing that cleans me out is really cheap high alchohol yeild Vodka (75% gets the job done) or moonshine, can't get a hold of any of em there Im at right now unless I want to make a 3 hour trip to a redneck town in the middle of nowhere and hang out with a friend that was disowned by the rest of my group (and Im the king of that group), that will be awkward...seriously that dude is fucking weird as fuck, we were helping my friend CJ's parents move some shit around in their new house for free beer and I was sleeping on a couch in the living room across the room from his couch I swear the fucker was staring at me and breathing heavily whenever I opened my eyes...and the scary thing is that guy is joining the US army this spring (keeps bugging me about doing it with him, he's like "Hey Uncle Vanya want to join the army with me?" I go "Eh....no, no, not in particular thanks for asking though")....and that was my rant about that.

Anyway I just got Day of Battle, the second out of a three part sereies by Rick Atkinson. The first book, An Army at Dawn, won the Pultizer Prize it was that good. I suggest picking these two up ASAP as i can safely say they are the two best books on WWII I've ever read.

I would just like to say though, with Lame Bums leaving and you opening the territory to new players, I still do have a military presence in those area's. Im not going to claim the territory, but what I will do is establish a small military claim on the area. This way the area is stable, under Nerotikan rule for the time being and when a new player arrives I will hand over control to the player but if a new player does not arrive within (A given amount of time that should be determined by Lay or Mari) I will claim the territory under Nerotikan control.

I think that's just part of the scope itself. When you shoot the gun, the muzzle flash is purple too by design. Or it could have to do with the lighting down there. At the very least, I had fraps running but if that little tiny bit makes them all look like shit you're very wrong.

Well I haven't seen any more of this and these screens don't look very good. Nice gun detail overall but the surroundings are too pixelated around the edges, do you have Anti-Aliasing enabled? I don't think so, check the options, it will make all the object edges smooth. And the purple stuff, reminds me of what my desktop looked like on my old dell when I was running on-board video before installing GPU drivers. Im not discounting the game here, sometimes graphics look a lot worse in static when they do in dynamic.

I like the Berstats down there with the zero one being nuclear war. For me it's just this:

The Pens lost when they forgot that a hockey game is three periods, not two, but the experience was still great- Pittsburgh is a great city. It looks nice and the people were nicer (only place I've been to where service workers (e.g., retail, restaurant servers) will strike up conversations with you- we'd be yelled at for doing the same up here), plus it's a sports town (my cup of tea, even if I'm not a Pirates or Steelers fan) so I've decided if I ever get the chance I'll move. Never felt that way about a city before.

So yeah, I had a fun last few days but I was unexpectedly away so I'm back now. :D

But Im going to see my friends and get drunk tomorrow (and possibly eat some damn tasty chicken wings from a place called Quaker Steak and Lube...yeah my supervisor is from Ohio, he suggested it, so eh, I'll give it a spin I guess maybe just to get my New Jersey friend to stfu about the freaking wings!)...so huray! In other news the Hawdawg Defense Department has begun testing a new artillery shell that boosts the accuracy for both the sustained fire and support roles for our ground forces. No, those are elements of a doppler radar system, which is used for counter-battery fire (using your artillery on the enemy's artillery). The enemy's position is calculated from the direction, trajectory and stuff that the radar - which picks up the incoming shells - figure out. The Norwegian Army use the excellent ARTHUR (http://www.army.cz/scripts/detail.php?id=6667) system, arguably the best of its kind currently in service, mounted on a Bv206. I guess the Swedes are good for something... ;)

Being inside the Air Canada Centre in Toronto and Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh is an eye-opener, because a game at the ACC didn't feature half as many Leaf jerseys in relation to the Penguin jerseys at Mellon Arena. The Leafs price their fans out of the arena, the Penguins didn't do that (our tickets were $40 each for second-row tickets- the worst Leaf tickets are $55) and it showed- the arena was far more vocal than it is in Toronto. Considering the proximities, I might just go to Detroit, Buffalo, Ottawa and/or Philadelphia for hockey as well- regardless of who's playing- just to see what it's like, because this trip was fun.

I went to a few of their games, Im telling you man RBC Center arena is 20 minutes away. Im not hardcore though, I did get drunk the night they won the Stanley cup if that counts. Actually NG is off D13 so the invasion is legit; however, it is a rather large godmod though completely ignoring any of NGs troops and claiming to have already reached a city and established a landing zone in just one post while bypassing all air defenses...sorry Nero but don't godmod...make a thread, start your post, and let NG reply to you but you can't basically RP his forces. Now if it's just a news report and not an actual post of IC then it's some good propaganda and not an actual real IC movement.

In addition, just so you are aware, Kazakhstan & Turkmenistan are part of the Fourth Reich as a whole. There are also many TOA forces in both areas so you can't simply wash them away.

Well I doubt that since well I don't really trade with most people on that line. Just opened up a trade with Cot, but I do really need to shut it off if its still going through me. Can't be part of something that NG started, Im pretty sure I refused it before...yeah thats how my beef with TOA started originally, then I left Tyr okayed it and then I came back and I don't know I might have already shut it off a while back, kinda vaguely remember that, but well if its still going through me going to need to freeze it. We don't deal with Nazis.

Official Statement From the Russian Federation

Today we announce the closing of the portions of Eurasian Line that exist on our territory. We do not deal with the nation of North Germania and will not allow anything from that nation to be present on our territory. Due to an oversight we have not officially declared our embargo on the Fourth Reich, we do not endorse Nazism and will not contribute to a nation that we believe sponsors it so as of this moment we make our embargo on the Fourth Reich official and a part of Federation law. This proclamation is in effect until we decide otherwise. Good day.

The Empire swore a duty to protecting the Great Eurasian Line from all mishaps upon its inception, regardless of where the occurance happened. Our forces based in Kazakhstan will be more than alert and will defend the line to the last man, if necessary. The Empire is pleased to see the Eastasian people support of the line continue as it will continue to allow trade between Iceland and Beijing. We are saddened by the withdrawal of the Russian Federation and although we can respect their sovereign right to do so, we demand an immediate apology for the Fourth Reich for accusations of Naziism, of which none of the Fourth Reich endorses.

To make our intentions known, the Empire will defend the sovereign territory of the Fourth Reich, wherever that may be, and the Eurasian Line. We have no desire to hold land in Russia nor do we have a desire to colonize the Soviet lands. The Empire is deeply disgusted with the United Soviet Republics who have signalled their intention for better relations with members of The October Alliance through their dealings with the Cottish, only to act in complete contrast to those signals.

In addition, the Empire cannot ignore the possibility of Russian involvement and/or scheming in these plans and will be watching the Russian Federation equally as much as the United Soviet Republics.

The Roman Empire strongly urges the Russian Federation to reopen its part of the Eurasian Line, at least until a bypass around Russian territory can be completed, so that the disruption of trade may be kept to a minimum. Rome respects the wishes of the Russian Federation of not wanting to trade with the Fourth Reich, but its rather rash decision will have rather devastating effects on the world economy and the transport of goods. Therefore, we ask Russia to do its part and at least allow time for alternative options for the line to ensure a seamless transition in the operation of the worldwide network.

OOC: I was reading the first few pages of the thread and came across the ill-fated United Nations. I'm thinking we could revive it but simply as a forum for which international disputes could be diplomatically resolved. There would be the aid of a mediator who can provide suggestions and even make a non-binding ruling. Thoughts?

Official Response From the Russian Federation

We will not apologize for our statements nor will we reopen the parts of the Eurasian line that go through our territory. We denounce the Fourth Reich and its ideals of Nazism that it has shown to us in the few diplomatic confrontations that we did have with the said nation. We seek no improvement in our relation with the Reich until the Reich apologizes for the crimes committed against our people in the past, and even then only if we judge the apology to be sincere. As for the concerns of the nation of Rome, we do value your opinion and are interested in upholding good relations with your nation, however we will not overturn our judgment on this matter especially since where are already parts of the Eurasian Line going around us and non of the portions going through us completely cut off any remaining nation still in the agreement from reaching their partners.

Global Communique

The Empire is saddened but not surprised by the selfishness of the Russian Federation with regards to the Eastasian Republic and the Roman Empire. We are concerned with the disruption in the line and will do our best to alleviate this through other methods although our lack of territory in the region limits us severely.

In addition, the continued use of "Naziism" as a label to the Fourth Reich is uncalled for and the Empire will hereby refer to the Russian Federation as a communist nation. In doing such, we hope the Russian Federation realizes how their statements against the Fourth Reich are unwarranted.

The Empire feels that both nations could strive towards a future if the Russian Federation could let the past cease to be but, as such, we will not stand idly by as this situation continues.

We are a democratic nation with all officials of all branches of the government elected by the popular vote of the citizens of the Russian Federation. The party currently in control does not endorse the ideals of communism, however the Fourth Reich has shown us acts of racial discrimination based on the idea of their ethnic "superiority" thus we will call them what they are, Nazis.
