Anyways, Lincoln pipes it's water from the *LARGEST* under ground water resevoir we have out under the Desert-ish area. We can't pipe it out of the way Northwest up by Valentine because it has radiation...from what I do not know. Valentine pipes it's water out from Wyoming, and it tastes like stale Sprite. Infact, most places water tastes like that. Everyone from other states who has ever come over *Like Family or Family Friends* they say our water tastes the best because it doesn't taste like something took a dump in it right before it got put to their fosset.

Frankly, I don't believe in the elderly! It's a story made up to scare little children. Unless, of course, the elderly are robots...that's a different story.
*pulls out an egg*
For instance, let's pretend this egg here was an elderly person...
*crushes egg in hand*
Now imagine all the gooey stuff inside was robotic parts. Gears and microchips and things of that nature. Remember... the egg is an elderly person and my hand is sweet, sweet justice. And now that you understand, you can save lives! I recommend filling soccer balls with napalm.

It's a fairly common misconception that you can't make windows out of brick. Most people feel that brick is too soggy. I assure you, it is a shoe. Scientists have discovered that nine out of ten shoes are numb. This brings up the distrubing question:
Does coffee bleed?
If in fact it does, then one must consider the possibility that all life is but a giant cake mold. But instead of delicious, gooey cake batter, we are filled with...

"It's not our war? It's not our war?" cries (in)famous Alif Laam Miim-born fascist Billy Washington. "Well maybe it's time it became our war! Alif Laam Miim should take a more active, and by 'active' I mean 'hostile', role in international politics! This ethnic squabbling will be over when the war is over, and WE can end that war and purge the impure! In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful! Sieg Alif Laam Miim!"
-from the one about minorities duking it out in the streets and what to do about it...

Earth II World Cup: When's it starting? I've really got to figure out my team, especially considering I can draw from two great sources: Brazil and Italy. It'd be the team to beat, that's for sure. :D
Speaking of which, did anyone watch the RL World Cup game between Portugal and the Netherlands? They fought so much it was almost like a hockey game. It was brilliant I have to say.
in other news, my friend just came back from limbo and says hi to yall [especially you, Hawdawg - says he knows you from the club in Toronto...I don't know what he's saying, but he likes you...]
Which club in Toronto? I live near Toronto so I'm curioius.
The Portugal-Netherlands match started out pretty good, but it got really chippy, really fast. Players were dropping and clutching their legs like they'd been shot...more so than usual. I was pulling for Holland, but had to laugh when the striker just missed the ball in a slide, looked around, then grabbed his ankle and made that drama-queen expression of indignant anguish that comes so easily to football players' faces.
Biggest. Bitches. Evar.
I wish they could have a game where all the players would man-up and just play. It makes me appreciate rugby so much more.

And Portugal deserved that win - they fought harder than the Netherlands, and it should've been 2-0, but 1-0 gets em through anyway... not to say that the Dutch are horrible; that game was clearly FANTASTIC - it's bad that the Dutch got eliminated at this point, but the Portuguese got the better of them early on.
Germany and Argentina is also going to be fantastic - two superpowers battling in the quarterfinals... personally, I think Argentina is best team going to this round [despite having that trouble with the Dutch in the group matches...]

Marco van Basten was stupid- why wasn't Ruud van Nistelrooy playing? You'd think that he'd put him on with the Dutch up a man but that thought never crossed his mind.
I also don't really look at that game as much of a soccer game from the second half on- it seemed that after Khalid Boulharouz was sent off everybody just stopped playing- shortly after that red card Luis Figo head-butted Mark van Bommel (which is disgustingly NOT going to be penalized) and things really deteriorated from there. The only player who really kept his cool was Maniche, the attacking midfielder who Chelsea reportedly don't want despite the fact their main guy- Frank Lampard- can't even buy a goal at these finals. Still, it was great to see real emotion being shown on the pitch because I think it's far more real than expecting everyone to "play nice" when the stakes are so high.
Cymrea, I also think it's a shame that the Dutch fall like fleas, but the Italians do the same thing and I don't blame them for doing it really- they're professionals who know that any little thing they do to give their team an edge they'll do it, and if that means embellishing a tackle to secure a free or penalty kick, they'll do it. Pity the Australians were done in by a controversial decision- was Fabio Grosso diving or did Lucas Neill really trip him (could have gone either way)?- but that's professional soccer for you. I just hope it doesn't go too far (Slaven Billic, anyone?), but at least I can understand why it happens.

Argentina shall be felled by the Germans- they've got the best defence in the tournament and probably the tournament's best striker in Miroslav Klose. Argentina won't go down meekly, but I don't see them getting through against Germany- the German defence is FAR more dangerous than the Mexican defence and the Argentines had problems exploiting that.

FYI - I love soccer, but I sometimes hate the players. They teach you early on to play the fouls, so you can get penalties racked in your favor. I never personally liked that idea, so I never was a good player :D. It's a pity that that's what they do - the easy goals. Most of the decisions in this World Cup have been on the easy goals and some of the more unrealistic "WHY-DID-YOU -COUNT-THAT-YOU-SICK-BASTARD" types of referee error. A whole bunch of them. It's a pity that it comes at this hour...

I have officially given FIFA a yellow card. (http://dgrants.blogspot.com/2006/06/yellow-card-for-fifa.html) The officiating at this tournament is beyond atrocious- there's no standards, which unacceptable for a tournament of this calibre. The rules can't be changing with every game just because one referee goes card-happy- FIFA needs to agree to a set of rules and enforce them, because this is getting ridiculous.
That's wishful thinking, but let's hope the home advantage plays through.
The Argentines weren't that great against Mexico, and while I don't think the Germans will run away with it, they're still going to play the Argentines pretty close. Germany has the best defence I've seen at the tournament and I knew that whomever was going to face them would have a tough time getting past them. It'll probably go down to the wire but I still don't see an Argentina win.
EDIT- Cymrea, I'm sure you're probably disappointed about the whole Chris Pronger thing, but I found this that should make you feel better (it's old, but it's freakin' hilarious):

The Layartebian Marines have been reorganized. No more will a simple Brigade of 7,500 Marines come to anally rape you, no, not anymore. I've gone easy now. I'm having 7,500 Marine foot soldiers join up with 3,750 Marine vehicle drivers & crew members to form a division of 11,250 Marines that will be transported with each AARG consisting of 1,458 vehicles: including main battle tanks. They will be deployable as such: 3,750 fighting Marines can be deployed by helicopter & aircraft whilst the remaining 3,750 fighting Marines and the 3,750 vehicle crewmen can be deployed via HLCAC and amphibious vehicles.
So, when you are sitting there, smoking your communist cigar and making sweet love to your AK-47 Assault Rifle and you see lots of helicopters and smoke from the beaches I can say only one thing: the naval artillery isn't far behind. Each AARG comes with 39 ships and they're never alone either ;).

Now you've all been OWNED:
http://blog.yam.com/ump45/13c3fcbb.jpg
Behold the SCAR-L and SCAR-H, COH standard issue assault rifle.
The M15 pwns the SCAR for several reasons.
the ammo it uses (6.8x43mm) has the same killing power as the 7.62x51 while being about as light as the 5.56x45mm, making it possible to carry more rounds.
the selective integrated rails allow for quick and easy attachment of various items, such as a 40mm grenade launcher, bayonet, laser, scope optics, suppresser, flashlight, etc.
the M15 looks way cooler than the SCAR, and is about the same weight (SCAR-L) or lighter (SCAR-H) than the SCAR
the M15 is cheaper than the SCAR
I could say more, but for now, I rest my case.
Hk has a new gas operation system that allows the weapon to be fired without clearing the chamber of water. A nice trick when SO men emerge from the water to deal death to the enemy. Plus how can you go wrong with an Hk product? I cede the point of the 6.8 round, but an accurate rifle in the hands of an accurate shooter dispatches enemy combatants. You could take a bazooka to a knife fight but if you can't hit what you are aiming at the bazooka is useless. Two to the center mass one to the head. Remember a .22 caliber is the perferred choice of the mussad hit squad. As far as the rails for add-ons all new rifles now sport no less than three rails for lights, grenade launchers laser sights, etc.
Hirgizstan
30-06-2006, 16:20
The SCAR OWNS ALL because:
1. Its looks amazing.
2. It was designed by SOF forces.
3. It has more RIS attachment rails than you could shake a stick at.
4. The H model can use 7.62mm ammo, which, as you know, has more stopping power than most other calibres, whether new or old.
5. The massive amount of heavy industry and labor in the COH mean most weapons are cheap to manufacture.

Bullpup configuration, delayed blowback operation, two-round burst, plenty of rails, and interchangable barrels, allowing for 7.62mm or 5.56mm ammo, or the special .221 Orchomenos high-explosive round, with barbettes for maximum damage, a delayed electrical spark fuse so that it explodes within the target, and a maximum muzzle velocity of 1070 meters per second.
Credit to Macabees for designing this.

I also use the Hali-42, mostly in the 5.56mm (.221) Orchimenos Cartridge setting, aswell as being the only known military to use the Binary Sarin Round.
Oh, come on, people. Nothing is sexier than that XM-8!

Meh, the XM-8 was cancelled recently by the US Military because it was, yes, you guessed it, crap. There were not RIS attachments and no options to adapt it to the FFW programme, therefore the SCAR is being adopted incrementally, as well as the M29.

Wrong. It was because the US Military didn't feel like introducing another caliber as the standard round (6.8mm). All the soldiers who tested the XM-8 said that it was a wonderful weapon, and that they'd carry it into battle anytime.

Truth...
It would create a nightmare of headaches to re-introduce a NATO standard armament, since all of the other NATO Members use the 7.62mm standard [as does the AK-47, which can use NATO standard ammo]. Either the US would have to manage a nightmare of reissues to the troops in the middle of this conflict, to their allies, as well as to get rid of all of the current ammo stockpiles. Of course, planners could have done it better by using the same old standard, but for reason they didn't [don't know why... I think it was because 6.8 is better to handle or something in the way of maintenance, but probably something else...]
Be that as it may in RL, but in E2 there is no NATO, and therefore no US headache. YAY!!! :p

EDIT - Besides that, the US Military is unusually [not for themselves] cheap and rather than forge a new standard-issue weapon, they'd rather make "modifications" on the old one, which is exactly they're doing now. They've made the M-16 more adaptable to urban environments, with scope attachments and various computerized gadgets for reason that I forgot [or never knew...don't know which is which at the moment...]

The XM-8 was universally hated by soldiers who were issued with M16A4's or M4A2 RIS, as the XM-8 had no RIS attachments and a sight only marginally better than that on the G-36. In fact the XM-8 was basically a progression of the G-36, compare the two and you'll see the resemblance. As well as that the US Army were optioning a 5.56mm XM-8 and a 7.62mm Sharpshooter version, as well as two Support Versions in 5.56 and 7.62, but then FN came along with the SCAR and that was the end of the XM-8. HK did try to redeem themselves (they made the XM-8) with the HK 416, which is basically a SCAR only with an M4 main body. It was uninspired and stupid as it was basically an M4, whereas the SCAR had two versions and had composites like the XM-8, that were a nice innovation.
However, the M4A2 (and a new version), as well as the M16A4 will remain US Assault Rifles until at least 2008.

On that front, I present the Kings Without A Crown (http://dgrants.blogspot.com/2006/07/kings-without-crown.html), or my explanation as to why Brazil lost. The French are certainly a plucky team and I'd say they're worthy of rooting for- plus you have to at least respect Zinedine Zidane (pity he didn't pick better club teams :p). I doubt we'll see a player that special for a while.
Germany with Zidane would be unstoppable!!! He really stormed Brazil!!! Plus, Brazil actually performed horribly, like they were scared of the French or something - they hestitated too much, and by the time they lost all respect for the French, it was too late to make a difference.

Like I wrote in my blog, the Brazilians were incredibly uncomfortable in playing without the lead- they expected every game to be a cakewalk and when their quarterfinal against the French didn't go that way they panicked. They lost that game as much as France won it.

FYI to all, I'm working on a rankings chart for this World Cup, for future reference in E2 WC games and also in friendlies and exhibitions, even qualifiers, if we get that ambitious. On my first note, I promise to make this as equitable as possible, recounting a team's past history and playing record, along with disciplinary records and such. So if you aren't ranked high, sorry but it's not my fault [blame USB's computer!!!]. Second note, I hope that by the end of Group matches [since the current level is insufficient] I'll have a working list going on. I'll post it in the WC Press Release, along with the added statistics. Third note, I hope to also make note of the team's players, so if you have any statistical information about your players [not "He's my best player", because I've got one of those too... stuff like caps, goals, assists, YCs, RCs, et cetera... unfortunately, I can't get anything about saves and shots, but someday they may come...]
Final note, I'm hoping that E2 Football will continue in more than one way, through national leagues, interational leagues, friendlies and et cetera. Just to put this out now, I'd like to have all of that info once it comes out, stats on the games and players. In this way, I can make an up-to-date list and ranking for future reference [so we can perhaps use ranks in future matches].
And if you're one of the few people [or not] who has a scorinator, please tell me if you do [right up, I use footy, because it's easy, and personally, EVERYONE should get a scorinator for their own domestic leagues and the future of HOSTING a World Cup [too bad for Saint Lazare, too small, unless everyone wants to play in the same exact stadium 7 times in a row - maybe I could work out a deal with Fourth Reich...]
So, to recap, I'm getting ranks out at the last of the Group matches, I'll be continuing til death do me part, and I wish the best of luck to USB and Terronian, as the only two teams to have qualified for the next round. :)
ADD - silly me, I didn't even mention how to contact me for scores, and match info... well, you can TG me [I won't guarantee it at all], you can email me [on the forum; not to my email, it's already cluttered up], you can AIM me [a12363278 - voted most random :)], or you can just plop it in a new threrad/forum on the E2 host forum. Anyway, it's up to you to get the results in, because they just might make a difference :)
of course, that's making WC matches as good or bad as non-WC matches, but it keeps up the competition to play and win as possible :)

And tomarrows the fourth, the day us Americans celebrate the ass kicking of our patriots! Its a good thing americans never read Thomas Hobbes or else we would still be Brits
Hirgizstan
03-07-2006, 21:45
I would disgaree with that. Hobbes was a patriot himself and I think that shows through. An American interpretation of Hobbes would have resulted in pretty much the same thing that did happen, except maybe there would have been a more stronger system of Government from the Executive, i.e. the President would have been much more powerful.
I would hazard a guess that many of the Founding Fathers did read Hobbes as they were well educated and his text was a wildly read one, and its ideas, at the time, were held in high esteem. Remember that Hobbes argued that a strong man, a 'Leviathan' (the name of his text) if you will, would govern strongly for the people and protect those people with the powers they endorse him with. A King thousands of miles away that had little interest in the day to day problems of 13 colonies could not be counted on for such leadership as Hobbes wanted.
There are many cases, however, of more modern revolutions wherein most of the protagonists probably did not read Hobbes, examples would be India, Ireland, as even at this time Hobbes was an old theory for an older time. Clausewitz, Sorel and the philosophers of Action Francaise were more the forte then.

Jefferson, while a great founding father, is such a horrible example - he was a man of paradoxes. Believed in states' rights, but once he had the chance to improve them, he opted to centralize the government [Louisiana Purchase, War with Tripoli, Lewis and Clark Expedition, and the 1807 Trade Embargo Act were some of the many federal projects during Jefferson's tenure]. No wonder America loves him :) he's everything that they are :D

DPRK launched seven missiles according to Fox News, and 10 according to Russia. The SRBM's all went down in the Sea of Japan, just like the last time they fired one. The LRBM Taepodong 2 failed about 60 seconds after taking off.
On another note Russia seems to think all the missiles were ICBM's, when only one was, and it failed. Are Russia's detection systems really that bad?
Well I'm sure 'The Genera' (Kim Jong Il) will be travelling up his personal lane on every highway in his Mercedes S600 to have sex with one of many underage girls and to eat his way through Parisian delicassies and truffles from Russia, and then he'll probably go and drink a years supply of Armagnac before trying to ride the rollercoaster or sail the gigantic yacht he has.
Fuck sake, why don't we just drop VX gas all over the damm country, it was just proven that their 'nuclear' capability is non-existent as their not going to be able to deliver it in a missile that falls to earth after only 60 seconds.
So much for that "Nuclear War" he said he would bring to the US if we did a preemptive strike on his pet missile. If his missiles performance is any gauge of his performance, all small goats in North Korea need to worry.

North Korea fired seven missiles Wednesday, one long-range and five shorter-range missiles beginning shortly after 3:30 a.m. (2:30 p.m. Tuesday ET) and a seventh missile around 5:20 p.m. (4:20 a.m. ET) Wednesday.
5 + 1 = 6 (duh!)
Members of the U.N. Security Council began talks on a draft resolution condemning North Korea Wednesday after Pyongyang test-fired a long-range missile earlier in the day.
UN does what they do best, talk, argue, and get nothing done.
Japan's Kyodo News agency reported that the missile [#7 = SRBM/MRBM] landed six minutes after launch, but did not say where. The chief of Russia's general staff said that Russian tracking systems showed that Pyongyang may have launched up to 10 missiles during the day, the Interfax news agency reported.
There's Russia's ten and Foxnews 7.
UNITED NATIONS - North Korea test-fired another missile Wednesday, intensifying the furor ignited when the reclusive regime launched at least six missiles, including a long-range Taepodong, earlier in the day.

Ok, now I agree that NYC is one of the worlds best cities, if not the best, but it does have one glaring problem that even Lay hates, and that problem is liberals. The New York Times is their mouthpiece and they help to fuel Ms.Coulter's rightful wrath. However, is this a new thing? Did they become traitors recently or were the NY Times and its supporters always traitors?
Lets skip back, on this patriotic week, to the beginning of it all, 1776, and take a little look at the NY Times:

This article suggest the ban of guns (nothing new for the NY Times then), but this paper suggests banning them at the very time they were so badly needed for America to be free.

This article reveals the damm plans of Paul Rever and others to the British, the plan to use lights in the chuches from Old North Church to signal British troop movements. Notice how patriots is written in inverted comma's.

How awesome is this! Goodbye HMMWV!
Since Oshkosh has so many sexy PDFs guess what, I am going to finally have specs for my trucks :).
Kim Jong-Il is like a midget guy in a movie who is screaming "Look at me! Look at me!" The guy wants attention more than a whore wants schlong.
Haha- that sums up the situation perfectly. He's probably jealous that everyone's watching the World Cup- and, despite all that, which story leads each newscast? The World Cup. More proof that sport really is "the opiate of the masses".

I use the HEMTT instead of the 5T Truck now. Go Oshkosh.
Anyway, I didn't know those newspaper things were fake, damm and blast.
But the NYT are still a bunch of traitorous assholes.

That's sick hot! Which HEMTT would you drive? I'm adding them as my M2037 soon :).
By the way, the Bushmaster IMV is nice. It's protected up to STANAG 5 with options but up to 3 with base. It has limited RPG & mine protection. You can pierce a HMMWV with a 9mm but it'd take a .50BMG for this. It's about time you guys got something that you could rely on to keep you alive.
The IDF video was very cool. The music over top was good, too.

Thanks to ITD (Former Member) I've been shown Google Spreadsheets. With this both Mari and I could edit them and keep them uploaded. There are several drawbacks though:
1. You have to be on a special view list to actually see them.
2. You have to have a google account.
3. It's still beta.
As of right now I don't think its a viable option but perhaps in the future if they open it up with a "free for all view" option.

Lets skip back, on this patriotic week, to the beginning of it all, 1776, and take a little look at the NY Times:
http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=7/18513384665.jpg&s=f10
This article suggest the ban of guns (nothing new for the NY Times then), but this paper suggests banning them at the very time they were so badly needed for America to be free.
http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=7/18513380252.jpg&s=f10
This article reveals the damm plans of Paul Rever and others to the British, the plan to use lights in the chuches from Old North Church to signal British troop movements. Notice how patriots is written in inverted comma's.
If this doesn't prove, as if it needs to be proved anymore, that the NY Times and its supporters are traitors and need to be treated as such, then I don't know what will.
New York Slimes, Slime Magazine, Washington Compost, USA Decay, they're all the same.

Partially because SL's bid in the World Cup has ended, and partially because I've wanted to do it anyway, the Grand Duchy of Saint Lazare has announced [http://www.theforsakenoutlaw.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=366] the creation of a new European League, a World Football Club. Only teams sponsored by cities in the European/Mediterranean regions can apply.
For the moment, Club Monaco will host the HQ for the European League.
Nations with cities that qualify for the League -
Bjornoya
Cotland
Chronosia
Doomingsland
Fourth Reich
Geneticon
Hawdawg
Hirgizstan
Hun (?)

Nuevo Rica
Ottoman Khaif

Rome
Rommelia [Andorra only]
Sparta Dominion
Tyrandis
United States of Brink [Liechtenstien only]
==========
Teams in the league:

I have no European land and cannot play in the "World" Football League.
Boo-urns.
I didn't wanna play in your dumb ol' league anyway...:p
Since it doesn't include the whole world, why not correct the pattern followed by other RL leagues that tout a "World Championship" without world participation and call it the European League of Football (ELF) or maybe just UEFA, or something.

It's not a World Football League - it's a World Footbal Club :D
A league is basically a ring of competition - ergo the European League involves competition within European cities [or whatever the criteria]. A club can either be a collection of different teams or different leagues.
Personally, I don't mind having a World League, but the problem with that is that we've already got the World Cup, and just like the FIFA World Championship Cup having trouble on its own, another World League would probably complicated things a little.
Anyways, you can always create your own league - something like a "Roman" league or an "American" league...
