Dear Lord that took a lot of time and effort, I hereby declare the nation of Doomingsland the most disgusting cartographic eye-sore ever, Neuvo Rica you're getting there too. I abbreviated nations normally for nations with more than one word in their name, otherwise by first and last letter in the name. If you can't tell I had to free-hand territories within countries (i.e. the States, Russia, and the worst, Antarctica which is horribly off) Damnit can Russia be any more disorganized?

Feel free to use it for your various purposes, I'll be listing major ports and routes on it momentarily.

And Cymrea, since technically you're part of Rome I made you a thatched green area within the Roman Empire.

I concur- the map looks nice, but Brazil is switched- Neuvo Rica should have most of it. I made the edits here:

(I changed my colour because blue's my favourite- that and the real colour of the Roman flag- maroon- is taken by Kreynoria. I also edited Sparta Dominion's colour to differentiate it from my own)

Just one thing. I own more of Egypt than what you've listed me to have. That borderline should follow the entirety of the Nile, and give me uninterrupted connection from the Suez 'til the far western banks of the Nile (I have the Nile Delta).

I'm quite impressed with EoL, which actually appears to be grouped, but others, *cough*Hirgy, Rome, Nuevo Rica*cough* are quite random! Ok, yes, so are my own, but I would like to change that, if I could get Ellemere and Baffin Island, as well as the accompanying islands, by peaceful means of course.

If I save it as a JPEG it automatically blurs the edges (black borders mix with colored interiors) which wouldn't cause too much of a problem if I kept it as is, but if I want to change it later (and thus use the paint-bucket fill everything of same color a new color function) it would be more difficult. In this case forced simplicity (not blurring the edges to make it more aesthetically pleasing) is beneficial.

Have two versions but just show us the JPG one.

As far as why my claims are random- I did that on purpose. My goal was to create "a world empire" where the Roman philosophy can be spread to all corners of the globe. That and my territory is really several closely-linked "countries" instead of one large cohesive unit.

I like the idea to be honest. We should have like awards for RPs too. We could do it off-site or on-site, depends. We'll need like 3 impartial judges for it, no more I would say. I would like to participate so I abdicate myself from it. By the way, my Empire is very grouped, very, very, very grouped. :)

As much as I'd like to be grouped together (like the good old days...) that situation is currently quite difficult. Land in south America is very hard to come by.

I would be willing to trade my Mexican, Bulgaria or Russian lands for anything in south america though.

I think I'm quite nicely grouped together.

Voting for best/worst rper and RP awards is a better idea, impartiality would be much harder to achieve in a panel of judges, voting in this case is more fair.

GCSE's eh? I remember those, and AS and A2. Uni is so much easier work-load wise. Exams/Assessments are still pretty tricky, but there ain't that many of them.

Spizania is a pretty good RPer, having RP'd with him before. Everyone has their bad days, except Moorington who is just the worst RPer I've ever come across. He forced Lay and OK to quit an RP with him in disgust over his complete and utter lack of RP skill, and having read the RP, I empathize totally with them.

Bjornoya may not be a 'world' empire but that also means you can only attack it in two places (unless you go after our islands which have either been nuked or converted into spice plantations)

As for awards I'm game. Throw in some weird awards like 'WTF is he talking About?' award for the least comprehendable player, or the 'Does he Ever Shut-Up?' award, or 'Best Hair' Award.

You ain't got a map of it! What you have a map of is Novaja Semlja (sp?). I'm talking about Franz Josef Land (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franz-Josef_Land), that cluster of islands further towards the North Pole... $150 billion!

You can do that for your own but for the claims I'm sticking with RL names to make it far easier to read, understand, claim, size, etc. If you want to call your stuff different names go ahead in your factbook and even refer to them on here but I won't be changing it officially.

Land Trades: I should point out that I have, in fact, worked land deals before (ask Soviet Bloc, Ottoman Kharif and The Lightning Star)- it's all just a matter of what is being offered. Having said that, there are territories that I will say "no" to without question- like Rome (my capital) and Ontario (where I live), though this is *far* from an inclusive list- just like everyone else here.

For the most part, I'm pretty open-minded when it comes to my territory, but I'm going to need a great offer for me to consider a trade (and it better be fair- I'm not trading most of my land for an island). Come up with something concrete that we can negotiate if you're serious and we'll talk.

This is pretty much so that I can make Carthage a contiguous Empire. Having parts of Carthage all over the world is pretty darn inefficent, if you ask me. Therefore, I'm getting rid of some provinces that aren't really "key" provinces for Carthage (North Africa and Northern India are pretty much my "key" provinces, and while Carthaginian Arabia is important, Makkah and Medinah got owned into dust, and the Caliph moved his seat of power to Carthage, and the holiest city in Islam that hasn't been leveled is Jerusalem. New Makkah is also pretty important, because alot of the medieval Islamic works from Makkah were salvaged and taken to New Makkah, as well as half of the Black Stone(the other half was taken to Neo-Carthage, where it is enshrined in the al-Hajar-ul-Aswad Masjid), and I don't really need Afghanistan or Tajikistan.

I'm also willing to offer non-agression pacts, money, trade rights, etc, because I'd really just like my empire to be big and contiguous.

The definition is in the dictionary too, IIRC. It's just the way it's applied to that setting. It's more or less refined. Newspapers often have aggregious spelling and grammar mistakes and I find that awful, especially when they are writing something intelligent. However, what is sad, is that most newspapers are on par with an 8th grade reading level. How pathetic is that? My friends' father is a doctor/teacher at Sloann Kettering right and all his memos and stuff have to be conformed to an 8th grade reading level. It's sick and disgusting if you ask me.

And don't work, at Home Depot an 8th grade reading level is an "intelligent" customer. Most of them are dumber than a piece of shit on a log.

He is. Simon Pegg, Nick Frost ( Ed ), and the director of Shaun of the Dead are working on a new project dubbed 'Hot Fuz'. This movie, like Shaun of the Dead, will be making fun of American Action films, well not quite make fun of them but fulfill their goals of Shaun of the Dead. Which, Shaun of the Dead was to show the world how the British would do a Zombie film in their own funny way. Now, they will show the world how the British would do an Action film in their own funny way as well.

Hot Fuzz will be about a Cop, played by Simon Pegg, who runs into some 'problems'. I believe it includes a few famous British gangs that I can't name due to the fact of being an American...but I'm sure someone could throw in some names and I can remember which one it was again.

The thing with sixth to eighth graders is that if you are a person in a position of some authority (not too much authority mind you) and you are just incredibly mean to them in a very not serious, just kidding way, they will absolutely love you.

I go out of my way to make sure I'm not loved, as I wish to be a good leader. This is due entirely to their misinterpretation of the meaning of 'love.'

It is mostly society's fault however, they have been taught by their ignorant and spoiliing parents that to love someone means to give them what they want. I, being one of the last Aristocrats rule by by love's first definitions before it decayed to its current status, giving people what they deserve. Hence why Machiavelli wisely and justly instructed it be better for a leader to be feared rather than loved. I am the most feared 'authority' figure there.

Of course I could treat them like dirt in a 'not serious' kind of way but considering 6th grade girls now get called 'sexy sluts' by their classmates and it is considered an ignorable joke (at least to the less educated ones who have never learned to give themselves proper self-respect) I believe it is time we start taking matters more seriously, no matter how much it hurts. Not everything is comedy Mr. Stewart.

When I see them treating each-other disrespectfully, creating, honoring, and enforcing their own hierarchies based on demagogic popularity I believe when man is given freedom as we believe he has now in our society he will invariably enslave himself to an authority; he did in fact create gods to serve and blame when he was first completely 'free.' Perhaps freedom should not be our desired goal, but instead finding the best people to serve, or creating the best authorities.

So far I have yet to decide if it was democracy, bureacracy, or independent societal demigods (religion, media etc.) that failed so miserably at this task. We at least have learned however that inbreeding also is not a good way to create the best authorities.

I was very proud to watch Finola Hackett - a young fellow Albertan - take second place. I found it mildly irritating, though, that in her interview they got her to sing O Canada like some novelty foreigner. "Sing your crazy anthem for us! Sing, monkey, sing!" The commentators reminded the audience innumerable times that she was from Canada. Not a bad thing. Just glaringly unnecessary.

See my first and only team (Flyers seeing as how im from philly) decided to crap out against Buffalo i really really wanted the Hurricanes to kill em! Plus Brindy used to be on the flyers and as such used to be my favorite flyer. He is just a classy guy and a good player. He wins the cup, it earns him a spot in the hall of fame whihch he should.

It's a tracking ship IRL. They don't look beautiful all the time.

The laser used on it is actually a RL laser, the MIRACL (http://www.globalsecurity.org/space/systems/miracl.htm) and would actually suite this purpose very well, while staying MT. It's basically more powerful than the ABL but for a different purpose. It still has its limitations though and wouldn't be very useful against aircraft really except maybe passenger jets because their hulls are far thinner than military jets. The targetting system, however, isn't modified for use against anything other than satellites and ballistic missiles really and those 200 shots can be depleted very fast in a full scale war and take quite a lot of time to recharge, hence why I have the second reactor serve as just a weapons/avionics system while the other provides propulsion.

I don't mind all the dishes and domes, it's the ship's lines that make her ugly. And she's got portholes!

Actually a laser takes up a lot of space, especially this one. 200 missiles in a VLS part would take up a vast amount of space too but probably less than the whole laser-system.

Hmm, what about storage? You'd need about 100 Missiles stored about the ship to replinesh, that would take up space too. I understand about the laser size though. Thats why the ABL's, even a 5th Gen one, can just about be fitted on a B-1B, and even then the engines need re-fitting and up-rating so it can fly ok.

LOL they do take up quite a bit of space but not nearly as much as you would expect. Each tube is only 2 feet by 2 feet in diameter and the whole 2 x 4 block isn't much bigger.

Cymrea: The positive part is that at least I save myself from the embarassment of being the No. 1 enemy in Canada (I would have been the only person outside of Buffalo rooting for the Sabres) and I can watch the Stanley Cup Finals with a little less stress. It's going to be a tough series- the Hurricanes I've said all along are the team to beat and they're proving very much unbeatable right now (though Buffalo nearly came through). Game 6 I didn't see as much as a sure-fire Buffalo victory as Game 5 was (where the Sabres blew a two-goal lead and dominated the overtime period before Cory Stillman got lucky), since Carolina owned Game 6 and just couldn't execute. The Oilers are in tough, but they said that about the Detroit Red Wings and San Jose Sharks and Edmonton beat them convincingly. This should be a doozy of a series for sure.

As far as "contiguous" goes: I figured- I'm such a maverick :D. Speaking of which, I found the word I was looking for last night (concerning the word Finola Hackett (the Alberta girl) lost with)- "Weltscmerz (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weltschmerz)". Cymrea: The positive part is that at least I save myself from the embarassment of being the No. 1 enemy in Canada (I would have been the only person outside of Buffalo rooting for the Sabres) and I can watch the Stanley Cup Finals with a little less stress. The Oilers are in tough, but they said that about the Detroit Red Wings and San Jose Sharks and Edmonton beat them convincingly. This should be a doozy of a series for sure.

Actually the Tumbler is a pretty simple design if you just think about it.
As you can see its the car from Batman Begins, which is one cool car (made by GM of course). As it is revealed in the film, Morgan Freeman talks about how it was supposed to be a bridging unit. Various military units have actually experimented seriously with similar devices, they've tried it with tracked and wheeled vehicles but, as far as I know, it has never been implemented in RL. But it is very possible if the funding was there.

Damm its warm here today, too bloody warm. I feel like going to the Liquor Store just to stand in their cooler.

The scene where the Batmobile jumps through the waterfall was real. This vehicle can actually jump 30.00 feet. The race version could drive 106 mph and 0 - 60 in 5 seconds. It was a pace car for NASCAR on more than one occassion. Now if you combined the race and the jump versions (which were made so because of the expenses) then you can have one vehicle.

Actually, my laptop's motherboard and battery died after only 7 months. Motherboard was replaced, but they charged me 75 quid for the battery coz the warranty had run out after 6 months! At the time I bought the lap-top coz it was the best spec on the market for my price range, its not bad, but I wouldn't buy Fujitsu-Siemens again, put it that way.

Sucks for you. I have a 1-year warranty on the battery and a 2-year warranty on the rest of the computer. The very minimum according to Norwegian law... Forbrukerkjøpsloven av 2002 is a very nice thing for us users...

Well Pantheaa went D13 for 2 weeks during an RP, it was allowed, he came back, and finished. So this is fine, he gave a definite time of being back (27th of June) so he'll have that just as Pantheaa did.

Also, you haven't done the Georgia/Ellesmere Island deal I did with Rome.

Actually D. Prime I took over possession of the Shetland Islands from Kreigorgrad when I took over England ages ago. We have already been down the road of who owns it once before with Huahin. He landed on the islands and was removed rather quickly from them. I didn't save that RP, but it was determined at that time that the Shetland's were a part of England's holdings as was Gibraltar. This is how I came about controlling the access to the Med. Sea. I never developed the Shetlands because Cotland and I have always been on good terms. If we were enemies the Shetlands would have been a very strategic forward base for my forces.

This is how I came about controlling the access to the Med. Sea. I never developed the Shetlands because Cotland and I have always been on good terms. If we were enemies the Shetlands would have been a very strategic forward base for my forces.

Yes but that obviuosly wasnt on the claims list because lay gave them to me when I claimed them. Anyways its not my problom anymore. there Cots.

I know this is quite miniscule but I would like to put this out there in the event it becomes important. After reviewing the claims list I have located two islands than have gone unclaimed that lay within the Mozambique Channel.

Bassas Da India and Ile Europa

They are very tiny but if used correctly control the southern entrance into the Mox Channel. My recent acquisition of the Comoros than controls the northern entrance.

I found these by looking at a somewhat outdated atlas so if they go by a different name and are already claimed…I’ll feel like a dumbass.

Actually D. Prime I took over possession of the Shetland Islands from Kreigorgrad when I took over England ages ago. We have already been down the road of who owns it once before with Huahin.
