"I'm getting bored," whined Ichiro Suzuki (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y131/Kvess/Character%20Pics/catgirl_471.jpg), "so, who do I talk to about learning more control over Fire?"
Eldrad was still in earshot, and he looked at Ichiro,"Your best chance would be to cease whining, and be more proactive. Unless you actively go searching for a tutor, you will not find one."
At this moment, a human woman in her early thirties arrived. She had long black hair that was tied back in a simple style, and wore a loose fitting robe for the moment. She was unarmed, and her face was pale,"Master Eldrad, I am glad to have found you"
He turned to look at her,"Yes, what is it, Rosemary?"
"I believe I may have finally achieved what you asked of me"
"Have you indeed? Show me"
She nodded, and closed her eyes, stretching her hands before her. There was a brief moment when nothing happened, but then a rippling blue charge could be seen between her fingers. It seemed to build briefly, before she released it and it swept across the room, leaving faint afterimages imprinted on most humanoids eyes. It impacted into a target he had erected, and instead of exploding, the target imploded into itself, being sucked into the Warp. She opened her eyes, and smiled. He did not smile.. he didn't do that. When he spoke, his tone was soft, with a faint touch of pride,"Well done child. A worthy attempt. You still require much training, but I foresee you will improve."
"Thank you master, I apologise for disturbing you."
"It is welcome, Rosemary"
She stopped, and looked around,"Hello there, who are all of you?"

Artemis had bought himself a short sword. He could now fight with a weapon in each hand, though that would take some getting used to. As he strapped the blade on around his hip, he saw Eldrad, the one who he had met at the beginning of his time at the Tower.
He smiled, then went over to a patch of grass, trying hard to do what his teacher had told him. He was trying to create a small amount of earth rise up and form a small wall. Whether he could do it or not, he would wait and see.

IC: Kamigawa- World of the Spirits.
11 people are out on an desolate barren plain, some are women, some are men.
with them, is a gigantic feind, huge, nearly twice the size of the White Tower in size, his body is long and scaly, and is very like a snake's Two long arms extend on either side, and sharp dragonish claws decorate the end. His body is green, with patches of Black. His head is as a Dragons, and whiskers extend on either side of his snout.
This, thing, is more powerful than the Elemental Fiends, and more powerful than the zodiac Fiends infront of him. He seems to be their leader. This Fiend, is Serpantarius.
"Feind Aquarius, why did you not attack the White Tower while you were there?" Serpantarius Demanded.
"I am not yet a full fiend, Serpantarius, you know that." Aquarius defended herself.
"That matters little. The blood of the feinds still runs in your veins. You can defeat anything mortal. Such failures will not be tolerated again in the future." Serpantarius said with a hiss.
"so then, what will we do? Pisces was a weak nothing. They probably think they have the better of us." Fiend Libra said.
"Why don't you take them then?" Aries said with a sneer.
"Ahh, yes. You have the name of a Wargod, yet you do not have the paitence for it. True they still reel from yesterday's attack, but they will still be on their Guard. Pisces is naught but a Warm up. I will go next, and I will strike when the time is right. On occasion, children play at the Tower. So weak and innocent, they'll do anything to save those they care about. When the Time is right, I'll wager a bet with one of them. I'll even make it seem easy, but they can't beat me, I'm a feind." Fiend Libra said with an air of confidence.
Indeed he was fast, even the other feinds had trouble outracing him.
"And what would the point of that be?" Taurus asked.
"Simple, its the Terms of the Deal. They win, I'll willingly go straight to hell without dying. They lose, I get their soul to use any way I please, and I'll use it to control them, and find more information. They refuse to race, and they die right then and there." Libra said.
The Feinds grinned.
"your Evil. Using a Child like that. I like it." Serpantarius said.
the feinds dispersed, it never once crossed their mind that Libra might loose.

Haha, Rangers generally fight in one of two styles, Duel swords, or become exellent Marksmen. With much practice, you can do both, as I have. Calming small animals is great. There's more to Rangers than meets the eye though. Perhaps after awhile, you will gain a companion, an animal companion. Plus, you will learn some small Magick. "All things take time, Practice, and one day you will master controling your emotions. Emotions, are a double edged sword. They can add power to your magick, yet cand also drive you insane. I have watched passivly, in the Shadows. I have observed, that many feel Emotion has no place in Magick. they feel only Logic, Cold, hard, Logic, should be there, or worse, nothing at all. Let it all be instinctive, Reactive. This is the Bases of a Law based Person. Perhaps you've heard of the Borg? They Represent Law at its best. They do naught, but follow their rules, which never change, and never cease. It has been theorised, that all lLaw aligned beings will eventually evolve to that state of Being. This is a Fine Philosophy to have. Emotions are powerful things, I admit. A lifestyle like this will rarely get you into trouble.
Yet Emotions are there, and they are powerful. They lend great strength, and are Chaotic. Those who use their Emotions are terrors on the battle feild, and completly genuine in all they do, for they battle with everything. Yet, Emotions are powerful, as I've stated, Emotions can get the best of one, causing a person to make choices they ordinarily would not make. Perhaps you have heard of slivers? They seem to be Lawful Creatures, but there is no Rhyme or Reason for what they do. They are Chaotic Creatures, and complete opposites of the Borg. The one binding factor in them all, is their Queen. Without her, Slivers would become Slaves of their emotions, and eventually destroy themselves.
Now don't get me Wrong, living a life of Chaos is not a bad thing, its just that most will see you as Wild, and unpredictable. Neither lifestyle is perfect, for in the end, both are self-defeating. The Borg have very little Reproduction capabilities. If left to their own devices, unnapposed, they would assimilate and or kill everything in Creation. Without outside species to expand with, to learn from, they would collapse, and die.
There is a third lifestyle, it is one, where Emotions are used, yet are controlled well, preventing them from Ruling. Strength is gained from them, yet Logic makes the decisions in the end. The Archwizards and I, we embody this Lifestyle. Our Magick is strengthened by what we feel, yet is ruled over by our Logic.
Law and Chaos need one another, Feed upon one another. Without one, the other will vanish. thus, is part of the basis of the theory of Balance. If Law were to become too powerful, it would Destroy Chaos, yet if Chaos were to become too powerful it would destroy Law.
I have spoken much. Tell me, do yoou have any Questions?" Xos asked.

"I am telepathic. Your thought as to the state of our collective sanity was to the negative. You think us to be odd...different."
She holds up her hand and a little bit of water pulls itself out of the air.
"I have talent in manipulating water...making it change its form...making it change its nature..." the few ounces she had swirled and danced around her, defying gravity. "I know how it acts to both heal and to destroy. But I also understand how energy acts to make it act, so I can understand how my brother can work, and my mother and father as well...a pyromancer, a geomancer and an aeromancer, respectively."
As she'd been speaking, the water had frozen, and then, just as swiftly, evaporated.
"You understand nothing. You don't know how or why we do what we can. You don't know the discipline behind it, and so you say to yourself, 'these people are not normal, these people are odd,' and you cannot understand. You merely make judgements."
The water in the air around Klelt turned to frost, clinging to his wings, ears, hair, and tail.
"It will hinder you. Until you can understand, you cannot judge. Until you know, you cannot judge. You don't even know enough to think, yet."

As a Kyubi, I have the ability to control Fire. In case you were wondering, I don't make the Fire, I draw the Fire Energy from the surrounding environment. All of the Elements exist in balance, my ability allows me to bring the Fire out of balance. When I am done, the Fire Energy is allowed to return to balance. Works that way for everyone that has any control over one of the Elements," she pauses for breath before adding, quietly, "and my family is still out there, still needing to be rescued."

Slightly dissappointed, Loki bowed his head and left Xos. He walked out to the courtyard and sat down on the ground. He closed his eyes and crossed his legs as the sun rose high in the sky.
Loki sat for many hours, meditating and thinking of an important question. Sure he had lots of questions, but none that he thought were important enough for the time being.
As he meditated he heard a familiary voice in his mind:
Ask what is in your heart...
Loki pondered the statement for a while before deciding on a question to ask. In fact, he had a few questions he wanted to ask. He went off in search of Xos so he could ask him, why some people can control magic, while others can not? and what the strongest type of magic is?
But the main question on Loki's mind was:
What is magic?
In his search for Xos, Loki entered a room filled with fifty or so mage looking figures who had surrounded, Klelt.

Loki decided he might as well ask Xos his questions now, "Umm... I have a few questions. What, in your opinion, is the strongest type of magic? Why can some people(s) use magic while others cant?"
Loki paused momentarily before deciding to ask his main question, "Wh-what is magic?"
Xos laughed heartily.
"I did ask for a good question. I wasn't carefull, I got what I wished for.
Anyways, the Answer is quite complex, and so I'll break it down for you.
Magick, is both a force and a Concept. It can manifest in many ways. Perhaps you have heard of Jedi and Sith. They are both Maguick users, though on a very low level. The most well known user, is a Wizard, and the most famour Wizard in all history, is Merlin, the Archmagus.
Anyways, Magick is all around us, in everything, and everyone. Its in you, me, the Janitor down the hall, Eldrad, Even Non-magickal folks, and their everywhere. All it really is, is Raw Energy. A rock has Raw Energy. Water has Energy, the Sun has a lot of energy, the air, everything. Diffrent types act in diffrent ways, and thus you get Law, Chaos, Death, Life, Good, and Evil. Then all the Sub-types. Remember, Law, Chaos, Evil, Good, Death, and life are the only six Energy types that cannot be attributed to another energy type.
Now then, Magick, is also the ability to weild this Raw Energy, and make it do something.
A simple Illusion, a powerful destructive spell. both Require the Raw powers of Magick. Yet, how ius this done? Each spell has a certain way its done. A teacher can demonstrate and show how a spell is done to another wizard that does not know. Even still, it takes practice to get it right, especially Teleportation.
Thus you have what Magick is, the process of using the Raw ingerent Energy all around us, and within us.
Oh, and its not really wise to use up all the energy within yourself. Kaymirilians call it Tupora Fashka. Thus, if they refer to your Tupora Fashka, you know what their talking about. Fashka, is the Raw energy around us.
And your fist question, the most powerful form of Magick is Divine Magick, however only the Gods can use Divine Magick. Mortal Clerics can use a form of it, but only so long as their Patron Deity gives it to them." Xos said. he paused, and conjured a cup of Tea, Green Tea.
Splib looked at where the table had been, a keen eye could see through an illusion but all his looking came to nothing, the table was gone, "I have the patience and the ability, will you teach me?"
Snip
Loki's eyes showed a curiously attentive and look at the mention of Merlin's name*.
After Xos had finished speaking and Loki had taken in all of the information, Loki paused momentarily and then spoke, "Well that makes sense."

*Its from Loki's past history and part of another RP.

Aqrinja stared him full in the Eye. Squib would not notice at the moment, but Ahrinja cast a Fear spell. Agrinja became really frightening, towering over Squib, staring at him, doing nothing, saying nothing.
If he can pass my test of Fear...
OOC: Its a Test of Fear, testing Squib to see if he genuinly wishes to Learn. If Squib does not wish to learn, then he will be sent into a Full panic, and he will run from the Tower, and never be seen from again.
If he does wish to learn, the Fear and Terror will be great, yet Squib will find the Courage to return Agrinja's stare. Words are optional.

After Xos had finished speaking and Loki had taken in all of the information, Loki paused momentarily and then spoke, "Well that makes sense."
Thinking for a moment Loki asked, "So does that mean that everyone has the ability to use magick? Or is there something else to it?"
Xos thought about it.
"Yes and no. You see, anyone can use Magick, with training and Practice, but only Magi, those with the gift of the Talent for it, can weild it.
You see, *Gestures to the world outside of the Tower, indicating the rest of Creation* out there, somewhere, is a Farmer. An ordinary man, who's never once in his life used magick. One day a traveler stays in his barn, and leaves behind a Wand of Water Magick. The Farmer finds it, but does not know how to use it. The farmer studies it, looks at it closely, and finally, learns how to use the Magick stored in the wand to use its water magick. The Farmer is delighted, and his Crops grow abundantly, helped by the water Magick. But then one day, the wand breaks, the Magick is gone.
The Farmer did not weild magick, but simply used the magick already in the wand. This, any may do, but Wizards and mages, we do it so much better, for we understand how it is used, and how it functions, how to fix it, how to repair it.
Take that same farmer. Its two years later. Its a miracle, his wife has a healthy baby boy. The Farmer is exstatic. Of course, what man would not be overjoyed, at seeing his own children born. I'm sure your father was overjoyed, when your father was born. I know Khalan and I were excited, when our children were born, and even still, just recently, when my eldest Daughter gave birth to my first Grandchild, a Boy, named Jale.
Anyways, over the years the Farmers boy grows, but strange things always occur around this boy. The farmer tries to understand, but cannot underswtand, what is happening.
Then, passing on through, a Wizard passes on through, and passes a night in the Farmer's barn, where he witnesses one night, the noy out back, xasting a small water spell.
The Wizard tells the Father the next day, his son has the Talent, the gift for weilding Magick, and that for his son's own safety, he must be taught how to weild it properly, lest he accidentally hurt those he cared about most.
That boy needed no tools, no wands to practice magick, he could just do it on his own. That boy could weild Magick." Xos said.
Xos looks around, and spots Rildorath off in the distance.
"You see Loki, anybody can use a Sword, I can use a sword. However, I am not particularly effective with it. A street thug could beat me in a sword fight. However, that man over there, is one of Kaymiril's greatest sword fighters. If I put a sword in his hands, he would be a threat, even to dragons, for you see, he understands it, he knows much about swords. He can weild a sword, not just use a sword." Xos said.
OOC: Hope you don't mind Kay. Had to use someone as an example.
Loki became overly quiet at the mention of his father. He stood there for a few moments after Xos had finished, without saying a word. "That's what I thought it was like," Loki said finally after a period of silence, "Just wasn't sure."

please just let this die...
OOC: Not quite yet.
The only reason years exist in the first place, is to help determine how many months have passed in a certain time. A year, and even a day, are unimportant though, as all they do is measure time itself. Night and day are simply Solar illusions, as the Earth rotates on its axis, and revolves around the earth. If you so choose, you could make a day and a year as long and as short as you wanted it. Thus, Time is only correct, if all agree on the same system of measurement. Imagine the Trouble if you made one day be exactly 500 seconds, one monthe be exactly 500 days, and one year be 500 months. It would be ignored more than likely, but all the same, it is another system of measurement.
This is why Time is nothing more than an illusion, and death and Decay are what we really see. This is also why Time Travel is impossible, at least until the Reversal of Death is possible.

ooc: not exactly.
Yes time is something that is man made. Its an illusion that we have created to make sense of our lives.
However to say that IRL you can make up the length of a year or day is a fallacy. (Year is a relative term... aka an Earth Year) One "Earth Year" is equal to the time it takes the earth to complete a revolution around the sun, as a day is equal to the time it takes the earth to complete a revolution on its axis.
Yes, we could make up how many months are in a year but in the end the "time" elapsed over those months would have to remain constant whether it be 3 months or 30 months.
I suggest since it is a very copmlicated and confusing topic we don't get into it.

There is a God, a really powerful God, he's the son of the Multiverse infact, and his name is Beldragos. He is the One God all energy Mages both rever, and fear at the same time. "First off, I've never heard of Ignan before," Ichiro sent back.
She fanned out her nine tails and sent, "This is the area attack. Its called Bob Tail Inferno. Its very effective against giant spider webs."
A small* ball of blue-white flame appeared in front of the tip of each tail. Each ball grew more and more intense. When they were almost to bright to look at, they launched. Each ball followed a seemingly random path through the air in front of her. The effect lasted for ten seconds.
"That was twice as long as the last time I did that," she sent out on a general mindspeak channel without thinking about it. A trace of surprise was easily detectable.
OOC: Remember, she spent most of her life in a cage with an anti-magick iron collar before Linden Rathan rescued her. So, her knowledge of what she can do isn't that great.

"Ok," Loki said. He took a few steps away from Xos so that there was a good enough distance.
Easy enough.
A ball of energy formed in Loki's right hand at his side. He raised it slightly and the ball went flying directly at Xos body.
Xos Caught it. He held it in his right hand, changed it to Fire, to Ice, to water, to electricity, to wind, and finally, to a big Rock, then threw Loki's own Magick back at him.
"Quick, show me a defensive spell." Xos said.
OOC: Loki's spell is that big Rock, for Clarification.
Loki focused his energy quickly and concentrated on blocking the rock. He crossed his arms in front of his body and braced himself, concentrating his energy on an energy shield.
A shield of hot white energy appeared in front of Loki moments before the rock came flying at him. When the rock collided with the shield in broke into lots of smaller pebbles and sent them shattering to the sides.
After the rock had been deflected Loki relaxed his body and the shield disappeared.

Aquais,

Riptide.
It was going to be a long ride.
The seats were comfortable though. Riders from Random places where there. Including, Shiva, Goddess of Ice, and Third of the Great summons. Her skin was pale blue, and her eyes, were Dark Blue. She wore Robes of White, and boots to match. her hair was pale blue, and her lips frosted over. The air seemed, Chilly.
Sitting accross from her, was Ifrit, the Fire Demon, second of the Great Summons. His skin seemed burned to a crisp. Two great blackend horns came from out his head and curled down his body. His muscles and claws were great, and sharp. His Eyes burned with Crimson Fire, and the lower half of his body was covered in Dense fur. Fangs protruded from his mouth and smoke curled from his nose. The Air around him seemed, Warm.
In the seat on the other side, watching them, with amused intrest, was, something. This thing obviously was very strong, and Built like a Warrior. A sword of some sort of metal lay by his side. His skin was as a Solid Black Shadow. Two little points of lightning served as eyes, and it had no hair. A mouth made of light was twisted into a grin. Every Element in Creation seemed present on his body, ever swarming, ever moving. This man creature seemed more deadly than the train itself. This Creature was The elemental Warrior, one of the most powerful Summons, and attained by only one person.
Tharivol looked on with intrest as well.
It was a known fact that Shiva and Ifrit hated each other, yet here they were, enjoying a train ride together. Could it be? were they actually, Fond of each other? was their hatred so great that it turned into love? who knew, certainly no one on board.
