Warfare and Arianna at the exact same time, both in a stern voice: "NOTHING ALCOHOLIC!"

He grinned,"Calm down... I'd have thought you would learned to loosen up by now. Don't worry, nothing of the sort... not yet anyway"

Arianna kept looking rather stern. Warfare simply relaxed again.

"Maybe something to do with how magick was given to mortals to begin with... I'm more worried about the falling of the nations... Kaymiril first, then Snake Eaters... then others, and finally, Warhaven's worlds"
Warhaven
03-07-2005, 18:20
"Oh no, I'm the first to fall, then Kay, then your people's worlds, then Thea, then whomever the screaming archmagus is, haven't been over to the council yet, the healrers seem to think I need to stay here, and finally, Galvenor and beldragos's worlds will fall, which means the Balrogga empire is at risk." Warfare said.

"I am assuming that if you know how the attack was going to come, that it would be helpful." Arianna said.

"Well, generally." Warfare said.

Aldur got an expression on his face that plainly said he wanted to help, but alas, was too young to do so.

Leviathan looked down at Aldur,"You know, don't you? You'll be able to look through the infinate streams of time and space... seeing all that was, all that is... all that will be... and now, we have more to prepare for"

KVII -- "And now, I must once again prepare my nation for war... and we were so peaceful before"

"I'm sorry mother." Warfare said simply.

Arianna took Aldur. They both began to glow strangly. Arianna exchanged her nature domain for his time domain.

She looked down the infinite streams of time. She saw many things, she saw Cougar and rhenna's first child, saw what it would become, and the life it would have, but that was too far down the stream, for it showed a shelter on Ephseus in a cave, hiding from whatever was hunting them down.

She backed up a few years, and found what she wanted. Indeed The Darkness and the Greed were two people Warfare did not like. His third mother, Layla, and his brother, Kajeenith. How they got back in, she knew, but could not tell, for she learned it in the chamber of forbidden secrets, the secret, of re-entry. Then she found the Mage dolls. Evil little things that looked like Kajeenith. Their true nature, and how they were a threat, she could only guess at. She shared what she saw with Warfare and Leviathan. Then she exchanged her Time domain, for Aldur's nature domain. Aldur looked confused.

"How does he get back In? where does he get back in?" Warfare asked.
Snake Eaters
03-07-2005, 18:44
"Who knows? Only those you enter the forbidden library know, and they are sworn to secrecy... however, I know much of what occurs. Kajeenith will want to destroy you my friend, and Layla... will wish to attack your mother, for it was her who defeated her... I may have many domains, but this is perfect logic... Arianna... do you know what was hunting them?"

Leviathan had called in, looking for Cougar, but he was out on a mission at the moment, so he returned to Paradise for the time being. He wasn't sure what this feeling was... but he didn't like it. It felt like something was going on that seriously threatened many people. The plans had been in motion for many thousands of years, and yet they still had yet to come to fruition

OOC: Alright Warhaven, I'll flesh it out as we go along

Warfare didn't return to Riptide, he went to Ephseus instead, and tore down Kajeenith's Fortress-Temple.

Those who had a link with him, his children, his Wife, and Kaymiril VII, being his Mother, would then feel Despair and depression. Warfare was letting it all out, letting it all go. For you see, he had uncreated the one being who could concievable be his brother, and at the same time, once his best friend.

Warfare was letting it all go, and saying goodbye to his brother, one last time.

IC: *Within the Maelstrom*
Slaanesh's form writhed around, forever changing as the seconds passed by. When he appeared in human form, he was so beautiful that it was said to look upon him would make the viewer go insane with delight. In the Maelstrom of the warp, however, he was a great snake, not unsimilar to Leviathan's form if he chose it. However, he was still the youngest of the Chaos gods, only having come about from the Fall. Yet his power was growing, and he was known as the Devourer of Souls. He fed his power into the disciple, forever augmenting his power with his own. The time was close at hand.

Nurgle sat on his throne, rotted and bloated, laughing. As he did so, diseases in all nations sprung up like nothing else. Mostly minor, and curable, but still, they were many. Mithdelmar was packed with people suffering from some form of ailment. He was laughing because his words had become truth. Kajeenith had been defeated, just as he predicted. He found it amusing that a god so sure of his victory had been defeated by his oldest enemy and friend. It was just the sort of thing that would appeal to a Chaos god, at least any true Chaos god.

Khorne was too busy making planes against Tzeentch on his own agendas to pay much heed to what happened in the mortal world. Despite their temporary alliance for the good of Chaos, they still had a feud, one that he intended to finish when he got the correct oppurtunity.

*************************************************************

Leviathan was growing ever more worried. He found himself unable to relax, unable to concentrate on anything for more than about five minutes... although to him five minutes was a relative term, so it could be longer or shorter than five minutes in the real world

OOC: The Rise of the unholy Empire of Kajeenith...

Take a break Kay, I'm sure you'll remember the details later.

IC: A day passed, and Warfare hadn't yet returned. Shan had two of them left in the Warhaven hospital.
Snake Eaters
06-07-2005, 21:04
Shan was still fairly groggy, but other than that, he was alright. Well, he thought so anyway. Rhenna went to see him, and calmed him down, telling him he'd be out soon. She wore her husband's pendants round her neck. He'd been gone since two days after the battle... it was a difficult mission they had sent him on, to be sure

Leviathan, after many 'years' of thought and delibaration, started to seek out his friends. He was unable to find Warfare, so instead sort out Arianna, hoping maybe she could help him

Queen Kaymiril VII sat at a desk, doing work. Now she began the potentially deadly dance of politics and deception necessary to ensure her throne for the time being. She could use very little magick for the time, with good reason. However, if this were discovered by the almost equally powerful head of the Reath House, her life would almost certainly be forfeit.

No...there are some things that are different now. Haldosir, Rildorath, and Nervim...and summoning would have no ill effect.

"I've been trying to develop a skill I heard about in a Bard's tale once. Supposedly, there was this great Rune Master, on a world full of books, thing is, no one could read. They were all ruled over bgy an Evil Tyrant who suppressed all knowledge, for fear they would replace him. The Run Master couldn't read, and didn't know how to draw runes, but he knew how to paint.
He worked on his painting, and became a famous painter. The Tyrant heard of his skill, and called him to his palace. There, the Rune master was taught to read, but had his toung removed to prevent spreading the ability to read.

The Rune master studied the books in the Libraries, and continued to paint. One day, he painted a still life of Roses, with their flowers falling off, except this time, the petals really did fall, and covered the bottom of the canvas with Petals. The Rune master was surprised. The Tyrant saw this, and took away all his Canvas. Using a Rune to paint on Solid air, the Rune mage crept away one night, and drew a copy o himself, on solid air, with the ability to talk. The image only stayed a few minuets, and vanished, leaving behind its Tongue. The Run master Used a Rune to make the Tongue become a part of him, and spread the power to Read. The oppressed peoples over threw the Tyrant, and made the Rune master their King, who lived happily ever after.

I'm trying to replicate the Painting ability. I've gotten really good at painting, but nothing comes to life yet." Scria said.

Scria summons a painting of some still life flowers. Its really convincing that it could be real. Costh can almost smell the fragrense, and if he were to touch it, he would almost be able to feel the flowers. It was a Picture of Pink Pansies.
Theao
07-07-2005, 00:31
Costh looked at the painting, it looked so realistic it seemed to give off an aroma, and he felt almost compelled to touch the flowers. He lightly touched his hand to the picture, the flowers seeming nearly real. He focused on the feel of the flowers under his hand, concentrating on the smell of the flowers and the almost real texture of them. His hand pushed into the picture and feeling that his hand was moving throught the canvas, he pulled back the vase of Pink Pansies coming with his hand.

ooc: you had to put an alliteration in didn't you? "Picture of Pink Pansies"

Eventually, Costh found Terros Archwizard of Earth. He was building a Rock Bridge over a River that Quaqis, Archwizard of Water caused to run serenly through the city. It would be the first of several bridges. Quaqis and Terros were both in the River.

Terros finished, reinforced the bridge, and turned to Costh.
"Nice Pansy, but they don't grow on Riptide, where'd you get it?" He asked.

"Alright, we're just going to go to a nice open feild." Arianna said.

The spell she cast felt like a teleport spell, looked like a teleport spell, to Leviathan, but really wasn't a Teleport spell. Instead, it was a Powerful illusion spell, all of Leviathan's powers, Domains, abilities, everything, was taken in by the spell, analised, and calculated out. If Leviathan had the Magic Domain, he would know this, instinctivly, if not, then it would be as though they really did teleport. Leviathan would see a clear sky, and a nice open feild, random trees dotted the landscape.

In reality, Arianna gently set him down on a stump, so he wouldn't hurt himself.

*Illusionary, not real, thus, nothing between stars is GMing.*

**********************************************************
The Feild began to change. Arianna seemed to be changeing it.
They seemed to be standing in a War College some where. Outside, the flag of Great Brittain flew proudly atop the Flagpole. Laviathan seemed to be a guest speaker. Several Tacticians were sitting there, listening with intrest at this warrior's theories and stories. One stood to ask a Question.

"So, Mr. Leviathan sir, Someone once said that Germany could have won in WWII if they adjusted their tactics, could you explain to us what those tactics Might have been and how they might have been deployed?" The Blond haired blue eyed man said. He sat down.

There was a big blackboard behind Leviathan, with plenty of chalk to use in demonstration. On it was the following.

"Tomorrows homework, visit www.nationstates.net and write about your new nation."

They seemed to be standing in a War College somewhere. Outside, the flag of Great Britain flew proudly atop the flagpole. Leviathan seemed to be a guest speaker.

OOC: Hard homework, huh?

Leviathan took a moment to consider the question,"Whoever said that had a limited understanding of the nature of the tactics employed by the Nazis during that particular war. However, it could be safely said that the Second World War hinged on Stalingrad, a city on the banks of the Volga, deep within Russia."

He showed the gentlemen a representation he had just drawn whilst speaking,"The German Army tried to continue it's familiar blitzkrieg attacks here, but they could only be deployed in wide, open spaces, as shown on the flat plains of Belgium and France in 1939. It couldn't alter it's tactics to suit cityfighting. That was what cost them the war"

He took a few moments to explain in detail how the German Army could have redeployed in cityfighting, drawing seperate diagrams to show a number of streets, enemy positions and how the German forces reacted, before saying,"Now, Officer Cadets of Sandhurst, are there any more questions?"

the hovership stirted with a whine. A large propeller on top lifted the ship, and a medium sized one in back pushed them forward when Cid wanted it to. A pair of space Slivers slithered in and coiled up in back.

Cid opened the mini hanger door, and the ship moved out.

They moved out, accross the rolling hills. Cids factory was entirely underground.

He stopped, infront of a Cave, at the base of a mountain.

"First, you should meet the Queen. She is having her children study under me." Cid said. He stood by the entrance to The Queen sliver's caveren, and waited for Enais.
The boy ducked into the cavern, and made his way forward.

The single light illuminating Gypsy cut out. Slowly, illumination occured, and Costh found himself somewhere inside a castle. Officers guarded a door, but neither were men. The bitter fighting due to the inherrent differences between the two forces, mostly due to the continuation of slavery by Confederation forces even after the Gettysberg Address, made talks between the two almost impossible. I don't think there is anyway that the war could have ended by any other means other than surrender on one parties terms"

OOC: American history is not, fairly obviously, my strong subject, so you'll have to excuse any mistakes
OOC: The Gettysburg Address was merely a device Linclon used to bolster Union morale and keep the fight going. Linclon's original Emancipation Proclamation only freed Southern slaves, in case you want to know. The Civil war could have been ended earlier if (*has to think, this isn't her strong point, either*) either force had acted more decisively. If the Confederacy had decided to move in and take DC, then the Union would have fallen. Likewise, if Grant had deployed his troops better, then there were a few occasions when Lee could have been captured.

Leviathan was by the bedside of a man. This man was obviously alive, but unable to communicate by normal means, even Magic had failed to heal him.

Appearently, The Things were the ancient original residents of this Land. They Migrated away 100 years ago when a great Famine came. They returned 50 years ago, and found the Human settlement. They demanded that the Humans leave their ancestral home, but refuse.

The Humans said that when they arrived, they were simply looking for a nice empty fertile land to call their own. They found no one here, and no trace of civilization, so they claimed it.

The Things responded indignantly by saying that just because their civilization didn't involve buildings and such, did not mean it didn't exist. The two were ready to kill each other right then and there, and infact, the General, who resmbled something of a cross between Col. Cougar and Rhenna, drew his service Revover, while the thing, yelled out

Lastly. the Last little bit, before the test ended. Leviathan was taken to a large empty area, the area on SEP where Kajeenith struggled against the forces of Light.

There was another there. It looked Like Leviathan, walked and talked and fought like Leviathan. For all intents and purposes, it was Leviathan.

I am you, and you are me. I am what you might become, you are what I might have once been. This has all been an illusion, the school, the hospital, the two opposing armies, all of it false. Simply all apart of the test. The Illusions modified themselves to fit yo, to manifest your domains.

As I said, I am what you might become, but first answer me three Questions.

Anyone can fight, but the greatest of warriors, the Wargods, they all have four things in common, be they Light, dark, or neutral.

They all Fight with the strength of Conviction.
The conviction that they are right, theat their way is best, that fighting is only done, when avenues of peace are exhusted.

They fight with the knowledge of Virtues.
Even the darkest of Wargods have certain boundries they will not cross. A Wargod's strength is his word, and his word is his strength.

They all wait with the patience of Eternity.
A battle fought without patience is a battle lost. Patience is sometimes the most effictive strategy one can employ.

Tell me, what is the fourth thing all Wargods have in common, and explain it to me.

The words were whispered, and yet, only spoken in Leviathan's mind.
False Leviathan quietly burned with Black flame.

OOC: The Knowledge of when to rely on the strength of those who follow them.
There are times, when no Wargod can fight, times when a divine struggle is not wise. These are the times when the wargods rely on the strength of their followers, to carry their conviction, their knowledge, and patience into battle on the backs of their followers, and let their followers use the power of their God in battle to win the day.

He thought carefully, before answering aloud,"The knowledge of when to rely on the strengths of their followers. Sometimes, a god cannot win a fight on divine terms... he must rely on them to win the day for him. He must let them use his power themselves, with their own conviction, their own knowledge, gifted to his followers"

"Odd." He leaves.
Cid takes him accross the desert. A sandstorm blows by, harmlessly, thanks to the two space slivers.

He sets down in front of Gypsy's tent.

"This is Gypsy's tent. Go ahead and go on in, I don't think you could sneak up on her if you tried." Cid said.

Like Col. Cougar.

Tell me then, we both know War is not the only way, and that peace, though sometimes not entirely favorable, is sometimes better.

Tell me then, you and your people are faced against a powerful enemy.

You can beat them in battle, though it won't be easy.

You are given an option.

Let peace reign for 1,000 years, with servitude to them, after which you and your peoples will be bothered no more.

Or

Fight a bitter 250 year war completly destroying them, losing many faithful followers in the process, after which, you and your followers will be bothered no more.

Which would you choose, and tell me why?

He walked off, muttering to himself,"Bloody people... even the dead are more subtle then they can be... and their spirits. By no means quiet"

"Come in, Grand Duke Enais. I have been expecting you. I have some fresh chewy brownies, is you care to have one." Gypsy called.

Enais could see a mostly Black, with literally nothing in it in the room, but several Persian Rugs were illuminated, and lead to a comfortable chair that lead to a table with Brownies on it. Gypsy sat on the otherside.

In the Blackness, Enais could neither see nor feel nor sense anything, as though nothing existed there.

Being a Drow, Enais was naturally wary of entering dark places, but he did, looking around him. "You eat fairies?"

As I said before, this is all an illusion. Now our time is done, and the illusion is fading, but tell me one last thing.

If you were negotiating a peace agreement with someone, but you could hear the treachery planned in their mind, would you go forward with the agreement, or would you make him answer to his planned treachery before it even happened?

"No, I am not as twisted as that, The brownie I am referring to, are chocolate confections enjoyed by many species. These in particular are topped with Fudge that has Chocolate chips sprinkled on top." Gypsy said.

By this time, Enais was at the Chair.

"Have a seat, tell me, what's on your mind, and what brings you to my tent, besides Cid's suggestion that you meet Father's followers?" Gypsy asked.

Even, if you knew your agreement was safe, and the man was going to shortly be removed by trustworthy people who would honer and uphold the peace agreement? My my, bloodthirsty, aren't we?

The illusion faded away, and Leviathan found himself sitting on a stump, being held upright by Arianna.

A sickening feeling would enter Leviathan's stomach, and fade away shortly.
