"Oh, I don't mind. Aldur? What's going on?" Arianna asks, as she opens a Gateway back to the crystal world. Anna and Warfare would find themselves in the crystal world, inside a Dome. A map on the wall contains a map of the Crystal World. They could go right to the Crystals, or they could go to any one of many diffrent points of intrests.

"I'd ask Mith, or T'puuli or Plak'la, or maybe just Gypsy. I didn't understand it too well."

Anna, while normally willing to view points of interest, instead had a goal. She takes the black crystal to the white ones.

This had better be worth it.

The Black Crystal escapes her Grip before she even gets there. It hovers in the middle of all six crystals, then they become one big Crystal figure, of Ancient Aldur. It began to speak.

Father, I pray that this message reaches you before it's too late. I write this from the far distant future, a Dark Future, that begins, at least I hope it begins, very soon, from your prospective. An entity known as the nameless One will soon escape. I don't know if you knew of him or not, my memories of you are very dim, and only in very early childhood. For you see, your inactions caused you to True Die, almost as soon as The Nameless One escaped. Thus, Grandfather's Place could not be inherited, and all things began to disappear.

They tried Father, the Kaymirilians, the Snake Eaters, Your followers, Balroggans, even The People and deities of Theao, everyone in creation tried to stop him, but it was impossible. Beldragos and his brethren even stepped in, but they were soon sealed away. I have memories growing up, of one nation after another, ceasing to exist. Then the Gods Stepped in, but we have never had true leadership. Factions formed, and like mortals we each tried to be the ones to beat The Nameless One, to shame the other Gods into not following us, but Father, We were Mortals, for Even our powers ceased to be in his Presence. Even Leviathan's Black Flame, Powerful, and genetic, couldn't funtion properly. Uncle Leviathan, He was Our leader, with Queen Gypsy at his side. Of course, Sis always did have an imagination on her.

We knew, we knew that there had to be away, to seal him at least, and eventually, when all Creation was united under a single Banner against The Darkness, for that was all we could see of The Nameless One, we were able to begin to research a way to seal him. The Culmination of our efforts was a Black Crystal, containing a single spirit that survived The Nameless One's powers. A single spirit, that stayed on its own. For you see Father, Grandpa is Dead, and at your Time, his spirit is too scattered to do anything, ir things would have been diffrent. But he told us what to do to this crystal, to make him gather now, in your time. This is our last chance, our last attack against The Enivitable. I regret what this is going to do to you, but Growing up with out you, was unfair to me. Grandpa said, there was a balance to everything, perhaps if we were all more balanced.

Its message stunned Warfare into silence. But he tried to warn people. He wasn't at fault. Warfare was too blind to see the truth.

The statue of Ancient Aldur, suddenly became a large Crystal Becon, something wavered throughout creation. A call, yearning to be answered...

"I can't get away with anything." little aldur said disappointedly.

"Well, I can't help it if some of the things you try to do are, unwise." Gypsy said.

She looked at Leviathan, pictures of all sorts of troubles little boys got into would run accross his mind: Wandering in to a Warren of Vizzerdrixy was among the most dangerous, other fun things included hiding Rahegalhoff's sword, knocking over a priceless statue of his father, in the First Church of Warhaven, and finally, utilising what little powers he had, to switch a message to Leviathan, with a message to Kaymiril VII. Fortunatly, they had been reswitched before too long.

"Anyways, Father's thinking about throwing a party, but is trying to find an excuse." Gypsy said.

Now why did I say that? Grr, Leviathan's making me loose focus, concentrate girl, he hasn't even made any moves yet.

Gypsy starts adding in all recently born Kaymirilians, including Rhenna and Cougar's children. Its a partly complicated process involving entering a strand similar to a life thread, into the Complex Tapestry of Fate. Fate and Death were linked, as it was Fate that decided the length of each life, and the method by which they would die. It wasn't that, Fate was Death's boss, more like, they were partners, in a neccessary, unpleasant process.
So that's what that weird message was all about...

Leviathan smiled as he saw what Aldur had done in his life, and chuckled openly at hiding Rahegalhoff's sword... what an odd, imginative place to hide it... he may as well have been a god of tricksters

He looked at Gyspy as she spoke about a party without meaning, and something came back to him, just over a year ago. The conversation that he and Warfare had regarding this very topic... being on the Chaos Wastes had made sure that they weren't overheard,"Oh really? I'm sure we could some up with a reason for him"

IC: Eldrad pushed his hair back over his shoulder, tying it back as he did so. With his past out in the open, as well as his true heritage, he now saw no need to impersonate a human, and had resumed his Eldar form. With long flowing black hair, fair skin, and standing slenderly at six foot tall, he carried a sword at his hip, carved of intricate wraithbone, a substance unique to the Eldar. He saw the new arrival out of the corner of his eye, and sighed as he saw what followed. Many souls... he had fought many battles. He did not have as many as Cougar had done when he was the same age, but then again, he never knew how many Cougar had killed over the years, either out of neccesity or because he had no other choice in the matter... or even at times, pure hatred, such as with the Helghast. He turned on his heel, and walked towards the new arrival, having heard the exchange between him and the others,"Greetings stranger, I know why you come here. But oyu have never told us your name."
IC: “Well hello sir.” (Stammers a little) “Um my name is Piekrom Nenouti. It translates to the fire of god in the language of my home land. I have traveled a long distance to try and gain a better understanding and more control over my now blossoming newfound power. I hope that I can also be of service to the tower in any way I can. Oh and thank you sir who speaks through minds for offering to show me to my quarters. I appreciate it very much.”
OOC: Yes the name I chose is from a real language. It is from the Coptic language which is the language of the ancient Egyptians and is still used in my church to this day.

"Party? Where, When?" Aldur asked all excited.

"Peace child, I never said it was actually going to happen, just that father was thinking of throwing one." Gypsy said, mildly irritated. Then again, she always got that way working on the tapestry.

Something caught her attention, she turned her head, as if listening for something, something she couldn't hear. Aldur heard it too. She wouldn't of been surprised if Leviathan couldn't hear the call as well.

"Ahh, Father's cure." Gypsy said mysteriously.

"What's going on, I can't understand. Sister, stop being so mysterious." Aldur whined.

"All things in good time. Your grandfather's coming for a visit. In a manner of speaking." Gypsy said. This confused Aldur all the more.

"Fine, I'm going to go see the Queen Sliver, at least she isn't mysterious." Aldur pouted. He stomped off, and made a passing sliver take him to the Queen.

"Child, there are somethings your just not supposed to know yet, maybe later, when your older, and have more understanding." She said.

Leviathan and Gypsy were all alone now...

Leviathan had heard the call, but he'd learned, with his additional years as a god over Gypsy and Aldur, he'd learned a few additional things. He laughed as Aldur went to see the Queen Sliver, ruffling his hair as he left (something certain to annoy him),"WHy do you call him child? He is your brother, and in terms of god-hood, he's not much younger than you"

Excellent! It is always good to place a small bit of yourself into your characters. It makes them more dear to yourself and you will push for that little bit of extra when using them.

Now for some more RPing…

IC:

Galvenor waited and saw Eldrad had things under control. He elected to remain silent and have the Eldar handle the rest of the introduction for Piekrom Nenouti. He was in good hands.

Galvenor sent a telepathic message to Eldrad:

“If you need me just refer in my direction. I don’t think Piekrom has noticed me yet and I might startle him. I’ll make my illusionary body invisible but I will make myself apparent if you wish me to.”

Galvenor faded from view as he canceled the apparition he was using for a body. The image blinked out of existence and Galvenor waited to see if he was needed.

OOC:

As you can see, I demonstrated a way to direct conversation towards an individual character. By stating it was a message sent to Eldrad, it shows he was the only one who should have heard it. If I was playing a normal character without telepathic abilities I could have said something like:

A servant approaches and hands Eldrad a message

There are many different ways, each depending upon the situation. Pagers, Text messages, Magic, Psionics, or Smoke signals could be used. (Yes, I have seen smoke signals used to deliver messages on NS.)

Creativity is the key.

By the way, in case you are wondering Galvenor Elvarryinn is one of the four founders of the School and has quite a history. He is thousands of years old and exists in a pure mental state of being. He evolved out of his body thousands of years ago so he uses his Psionics and Magic to interact with the world. He is usually sought out for a calm balanced opinion because of the Wisdom he has demonstrated in the past. He currently holds the Title of Warlord of Hell after stripping it off the Demon Appolyon in a battle that happened last winter/spring. He has never been seen abusing those powers and has used them a few times to save the other characters.

IR: notices the shorter man disappear and is socked slightly but then starts thinking to self <Maybe he just teleported to a waiting area to give us some more room and allow us to speak more comfortably>. He then stares at the space that was just vacated by the shorter and notices a slight shimer in the air, but then shrugs it off as nothing. The he addresses the one remaining person, "Well as I was saying to the one at the door Things seem to blow up around me when ever I get angry. The angrier I am the bigger the explosion tends to be. In fact once I burned out an entire lake in my anger. So as you see it tends to be a bit of a problem. For the most part my training in weaponry has helped me keep a moderate amount of control over it. You know what? I still did not get your name or the other guys."

OOC: I'm going to do a similar thing to Balrogga, and give you some background information on this character, known only as Eldrad. He is a Farseer of the Eldar, with some modifications to make him more feasible in this world of magick (notice the spelling, use that as it is true magick, as opposed to magic, which is the stuff you can see done by magicians (parlour tricks, sleight of hand etc etc).

Eldrad is capable of channeling energies from the Warp (also known as the Immaterium) to form focused attacks... he is also capable of partial clairvoyance (seeing the future) and necrovoyance (speaking to the souls of the dead, essentially a medium). He is also a necromancer in training. He has extensive knowledge of the universe, a higher level than most mortals. He is currently six hundred years old, and hails from Ulthwe craftworld.

IC: Eldrad raised an eyebrow,"Interesting... this is a power I have previously encountered, but it was rare, and not as violent as yours appears to be. Tell me, when did this begin to occur? As to my name, you may call me Eldrad. The other man you met was Costh, a *note of derision in his voice becomes apparant* demi-god of Theao."

As he 'heard' Galvenor's message, he inclined his head slightly to show he agreed, however the motion was so slight as to only be noticable from the angle at which Galvenor was in relation to him

It has apparently shown its self in little fits even since the age of 7, but it did not start to have any real form till I was about 14. I lost my dad the day I was born. My mom used to talk a little about him. He was apparently a very powerful man. From what heard about him he was a druid from another dimensional field and somehow got stuck over here where his magic was apparently rendered useless. But he was also skilled with weaponry of all sorts and had quickly become the top military commander under the king of my land. He was greatly feared buy all of the kingdoms enemy’s and was unequaled on the battlefield. He was killed by the plague though and the king did help us as my father was his favorite general but the kingdom fell on hard times. I had first picked up a sword when I was 5 and have been training with it ever since. I picked up the quarterstaff soon after that. I then joined the army at ten in order to get money to help my mom. She died 2 years latter. I had progressed quite quickly in the army and was soon the 2nd strongest in the land and they were saying that I might even get to be stronger then my father and help rejuvenate the country. When I was 15 I blew up the army’s stables with my just sprouting power and was exiled by a deeply saddened king because I had become a danger to society. I have been wandering across the lands in search of help ever since."

"Intresting child we've raised, though, the fact is intresting, that I am his father, and you his mother, yet Warfare caused his own birth."

Warfare finally got his jaw working.
"Father? Father Yore?" he asked.

"None other, though I am quite dead, and terribly displeased with your recent inactions." Yore said.

"I was there at the beginning of 'time' when you split to form him and his brother...I don't recall you 'raising' him. Other than that..." she shrugs. "Personally, I've been thinking a good beating is in order for him, but his utter lack of anything resembling ambition is rather disappointing, be he god or mortal."

"Dear gods in heaven you can't be serious." Warfare said, horrified.

"Oh, can't I?" Yore said, a bit dangerously.

"I tried! No one would listen." Warfare said.

"And who would want to listen to a sniveling whining godlet that's afraid of his own shadow?" Yore shot back.

"Hey that's not fair. Gods are supposed to be invincible, and never loose their powers." Warfare pouted.

"Yeah, well, surprise surprise." Yore said.

At the point where Warfare was pouting about losing his powers, Anna's hand whipped out, and she backhanded him across the face.

"FOOL! You manipulate different types of fashka, types that are harder to drain. But that does not mean that it cannot be done. You shame any bloodline you have participated in with your moping and whining. I never wanted anything of you, save that you tend to your duties faithfully. I don't care how powerful or how weak you are, you're acting like a child...not a man. And I know I taught you better than that."

"How dare you hit me!" Warfare said outraged.

"Oh yeah, well I can do worse." Yore threatened.

"You wouldn't dare."Warfare blustered.

Yore manifested that Petrified Oaken board, picked Warfare up by the scruff of his neck, bent him over a nearby guard rail crystal, and soundly warmed his behind. Unfortunatly, the board cracked.

"Fine, I give up. If you know everything, what do I do then." Warfare said with a snotty tone of voice.

Yore backhanded Warfare again.

"First, you will talk to us with more respect in your voice, secondly, I will posses you, and when your body can handle it, I will take you to see the Keeper of the domains. But first, you must come to understand balance." Yore said.

"Beldragos?" Warfare asked.

"No other." Yore said.

Warfare had ,by now, healed, and kept quiet, for fear of getting hit again.
Yore simply waited to see what Anna might have to say.

Yore steps into Warfare. Warfare goes rigid, then limp, then opens his eyes again. They glow gold.

"Don't worry, Anna, by the time I'm finished, Warfare will know The six aspects of The Balance. Damn he's let himself go." Yore said.

Yore made Warfare let out a deep breath. Over the years, he had gotten flabby, and was now 200 pounds over weight, and could barely lift 200 pounds. For a God, this was really quite bad.

"I will have to see Leviathan for a, Workout program, to get Warfare back in shape." Yore said.

He patted Warfare's sudden Belly. and looked at his flabby arms. Warfare had even gained a double chin.

"Yes, Warfare definatly needs back in shape. Its possible for even non-warrior gods to have a warriors physique. With my minimum powers in place, it should only take a few months." Yore said.

He went to Gypsy's Picture, touched it, and disappeared to gypsy's tent.

**************************************************************
Gypsy nearly spilt her Tea.

"Father!?!" Gypsy exclaimed.

"Well, his body, but the one in control is I, Yore, ancient keeper of the balance. I came here to have you find Leviathan, however I see he's already here. *turning to Leviathan.* It is a pleasure to meet my son's friends, Leviathan. I only wish Warfare had been in better shape." Yore said. he stepped partially out of Warfare, and while offering his hand for a Handshake, he went on.
"I wanted to see you, to get Warfare back into Warrior shape. I'm sure you can see how he secretly let himself go." Yore said, with disgust.

Yore gave off no sense of presence, other than that of a mighty spirit. No doubt Eldrad and others with similar powers would know by way of the spirit networks, that the broken shard's of Kajeenith's half of Yore's soul had gathered together, rejoined Warfare's half, and was now possesing Warfare.

Kaymiril VII stepped through, back into the Valshanth. She'd hoped for some actual time with Aris today...but after the trouble with Warfare, it would be time for her to be handed back off to a servant at about the same time she finished talking with Arianna. She almost sighed.

Why couldn't life just be simple?

Arianna almost seemed to know what happened alraedy. She had of course, gotten some half-hints and clues from Gypsy. Since the Crystal World was half hers, she was able to watch everything. Leviathan had to exercise all his powers of self control from punching 'Warfare' right then and there. He shook Yore's hand, looking over the bloated figure before him. OOC: Don't tell people what to do regarding their technology. Snake Eaters and Balrogga pride themselves on their technological status, but it is possible to combine elements of both worlds. Magick doesn't actually play that big a part in the daily lifes of Snake Eaters, but I can still have some gifted people who use it.

IC: Eldrad sighed, the man's knowledge base was obviously limited to fighting and nothing more,"I will not explain genetics to you, you must find that out for yourself. You can find your own room, you do not need to register. Why not ask someone if they can help you, if they seem to be using something similar to what you are expierecing... learning is a gradual process, you cannot do it overnight and expect it to be done with. I know mages whose powers are still being pushed... indeed, the more powerful work harder than the novices"

As he was speaking, a small ball of energy appeared between his fingers. He casually flicked it at a target that he had been working with before this newcomer had arrived. With a single motion, he sent the ball spinning into the target. It exploded, but with pomp and circumstance. No noise, no mess, just destruction, and the faintest smell of ozone.

Leviathan had already set about sealing them within a time bubble of his own creation,"This will make it easier. We may be in here many months by our reckoning, but only a few moments to others. The glow faded.

"What? you mean I have to actually mentally do the work myself? I thought you were going to do the mental part, and I was doing the physical part." Warfare said confused.

The glow returned.

"Yes, you have to do it all. What good is such a body, without the mental state to fo with it? All things must come in balance. The work you will put in here, will balance the lazyness of the past few years. The mental state after this, will balance the body you will have earned back. There is more to Balance, then just the state of the six forces." Yore said.

The golden glow faded again.

"Fine, be that way." Warfare said.

Yore spoke within Warfare's mind about Balance. Long lessons when Warfare was allowed to rest, about the nature of Balance, aspects of it, more things then any one deity ever really cared to know about Balance. He let his words be broadcast as thoughts, incase Leviathan was intrested in learning more about the balance.

Piekrom']OOC: I know Balrogga. Very soon. Oh and please stick to midevil stuff i realy want this to be more fantasy like

The control of another's nation is strictly up to that player.

There are computer systems within the tower already. The lighting is provided by electricity, Security systems are in place, and we even have a couple super colliders in the research labs below the tower. Warfare built an android that runs on Magic, There have been Mechs both the good and evil sides have used in the past.

This is all in our history and already happened. It cannot be revoked and rewritten. If it was not for Super Science, my nation would not exist at all, being shipwrecked upon a planet where technology didn't exist and we had to learn Magic to get out. That is all I will say for my history for now.

That would be like restricting you from using your father, mother, or king. Something that would not only be considered rude but also a godmod.

You are still new so we should pretend it never happened. This is just a friendly FYI

If you want, you can pretend the machines, lighting, and other stuff are a form of magic. You would probably think they are until you understand the concepts better. A shotgun would be a Boomstick, a lightbulb would be a magical globe of illumination. The steel locks would obviously be made by Dwarven Mastercraftsmen, ect...

It is all in the perspective you look at them with.

15-09-2005, 00:08
In the several interveining years since Aldur had sealed his uncle in, Kamigawa had become a dark and dreary place. around the swamps, a perpetual fog had settled into place. Black and withered trees stood like corpses. Foul creatures of the night roamed freely, ready to pounce apon whatever unlucky soul wandered in there by mistake, or was forced in, gfor Kajeenith's twisted amusement. It was in such a place, that Kajeenith roamed.

"Glorious darkness, tell me, how do I break the seal that locks me away, prevents me from fullfilling my destiny?" He implored to the empty air.

A bat squeaked as it flew by, and something rustled in the grass. Nothing dared touch Kajeenith.

I have given you all of my soul, and live only by your glorious will. Please, aid me, i beg of you." He cried.

He wandered through the dark fog.

"Kajeenith, my Loyal Servant. have your Dark mages of space, who follow you with all the fear you inspire in their hearts, focus their powers, through one sacrifice, willing or not, and like a pin pricking a ballon, so must they use their powers to penetrate the Bubble, seperating you from the outside." The Darkness within Kajeenith's own heart answered.

"Yes, Milord. What of the Fell beast, is it still sealed away?" Kajeenith asked.

"Yes, but you must leave right after Kamigawa is freed, or soon, all our plans will be for nothing. There are those who still seek to destroy you." The Darkness answered.

"Yes, Milord, I understand." Kajeenith answered.

He walked off, first to recover his strength, his powers, then, to select one lucky victim to release him, from this Prison.

Soon, Kajeenith would be relaesed...

Little Aldur had returned from trying to visit the Queen Sliver. She was sheding, and really quite irritable. Fortunatly Aldur was turned away, and returned to Gypsy's tent.

"Gypsy?" Aldur called.
"Yes Aldur?" She called back. He entered her tent, and sat with an irritable sigh that The Queen was unavailible.

"Well isn't that to bad." Gyspy said sympathetically, understanding that Aldur didn't realise that she already knew this.

"Gypsy, why is Fate a tapestry, and not a river or something?" Aldur asked.

Gypsy manifested the Tapestry of fate. Only Fate Deities and higher were allowed to do this. She motioned Aldur over, and showed him some of the strands. The First one he sees depicts the Queen Sliver Molting. The second one, depicted Rahegalhoff grooming his Alicorn. The third one, depicted Roy truying to win Arel's affections. As Aldur looked at each thread, he noticed, some looped and entertwined. Some intersected Some split, indicating choice. As he pulled back, he discovered that soon, they stopped being seperate threads, but a rich Tapestry.

"You see Aldur, Each thread, is someone's life, someones fate. It loops, it twists, it turns, and intersects other entites threads all the time. Its this intersection, that couses it to be a tapestry. Always remember Aldur, your actions in life, don't just effect a few directly, but effect many inderectly as well. You know that pond, three miles east? If you were to take a stone, and throw it in there, what would happen?" Gypsy asked.

"Ripples" Aldur said.

"Exactly, so it is with Fate. Everything's connected. Remember that." Gypsy said.

Aldur sat there and scratched his head, not really understanding.

"So, if I were to pick a Flax seed from the feilds fifty miles south, and blow it to the wind, what could happen?" Aldur asked.

"well, suppose there was no wind. It would fall to the ground and become another Flax plant. Then, suppose the winds were strong enough to carry it away. It could blow, and vlow, and blow some more, where it would become wedged beneath a very great boulder indeed. A boulder, perched precariously above a small defensless town. The Flax seed, having been blown into its new position, would become the sole force keeping that boulder up. This same thing can be seen somewhere in Ariazzona, where a great big huge rock, is supported entirely by a little pebble. Anyways, after many years, a hungry mouse comes along, and removes the flax seed. The boulder, unsupported, falls, and crushes the Town below." Gypsy said.

"That's horrible." Aldur said.

"Ahh, but fate can also be good. suppose that same flax seed, instead of going to the Boulder, were instead blown along the pathways of creation, sometimes traveling on wagons and horses. Eventually, it makes its way to a World that knows of Flax, but has none. The seed lands in Fertile soil, grows, and after many years, one of the inhabitants stumbles accross the resulting Flax feild. The people are overjoyed, and can now become prosperous in the Flax trade, with proper care of the Flax of course." Gypsy said.

"But what about the town with the Boulder, do they just get crushed sooner then?" Aldur asked, not forgetting the town.

"Your care for innocent people is admirable. That is where my job comes in. In both circumstances, there are many possibilites, but for now, we'll assume a passing space Master saved the town and everyone lived happily ever after." Gypsy said.

"Oh, thank you." Aldur said. He wandered off to puzzle over the lesson he had just learned, and to try and figure out how he would save that town.

Which was why warfare gave them the hardest most difficult tasks he could possibly think of, and then forbade them from having anyone but the preisthood doing them. Rahegalhoff wasn't a preist though. In fact, Rahegalhoff was a rather kind man, and leader of Warfare's Paladins. Raheagalhoff was the sort that tried to get along with everybody, even his enemies. That didn't mean he couldn't hold his own in a fight. By no means was he a slouch, in fact, the only one man Rahegalhoff considered better then him, was none other than Col. James Cougar himself. Everyone else, was equal or worse.

What is it with some people and butting in? thought Eldrad in mild annoyance, more so at the paladin than at the mage. He turned to look at Resa, the wraithbone armour moving smoothly. He spoke in Common, for his Drow was shakey at best, despite having worked with them for ten years and more. People thought that the language of the Eldar would be similar, but it was not,"Do not judge them all on the actions of one young human, Resa"

Resa again turned her head to Eldrad. "You did not like that waelin rivvil any more than did I."
"Of course I don't. He is too young, too naive. But, he also seems willing to learn, and as that is what this Tower exists to do, such I shall teach him if he asks it of me. But, don't allow yourself to view all members of one race based upon the actions of a few."

Resa arches an eyebrow. Human history had shown over and over again that to give a human a power was to give him his own destruction, and that of others. Throughout their history, only a few had been noble enough to help spare that race.

*Warhaven Network Computer interface, 3rd floor of the White Tower.*

There the computer sat, it was idling on the desktop. Icons were here, the mouse was there. Nothing really intresting.

Then, a window opened up of its own accord. It was a known fact that Warhaven used Microsoft software. In this window, one could see Riptide, a random plain somewhere was being shown. Then, Xos walked up to the Screen from the Plain. He put his hand on the Computer on the other end, and cast a new variation of the Teleport spell. Both screens went white. Then the room grew Bright. Then, the moniter exploded. Standing next to it, was a very excited Xos.

"It worked! I may have blown up the moniter in the process, but by Gods it Worked!" He said as he jumped up and down all excited.

He had just developed the spell, Network Teleportation.

OOC: To open up more resources. It seems, that it has sgotten slow. Then, I must turn to my darkside, and stir the pot up. You might hate me, but you know, you know, that without Dear old Uncle Kajeenith, things would get boring.

IC: On Kamigawa, there were alters to Kajeenith everywhere. However, there was one, one that everyone feared to tread near, for this was Kajeenith's favorite Altar. It was a great White Platform, with an ornate Slab of Marble with holes in it over a well. It was white. Over time, the blood of those that displeased or crossed Kajeenith, really one meant the other, colored it a deep, dark, red, almost as to be Black. It smelled of Lingering death. It was at this place, that all the Dark Mages of Time and Space were gathered.

Dark Mage of space one "We can normally counter these bubbles on our own. It must have been a God, no other force would require us all.

Dark Mage of Space two: "I hear a sacrifice is also needed. I hope we aren't chosen."

DMS 1 - More than likely not. All our powers are needed.
DMS 2 - oh look, here he comes.

Kajeenith strode onto the Alter, a pretty young girl with skin that looked permanetly tan, with Brown eyes and a Pretty voice, was struggling helplessly against Kajeenith.

"NO!" she screamed
"Put me DOWN!" she yelled as she kicked Kajeenith in the back.

He simply laughed, and tied her to the Alter. Then Gagged her.

She struggled in vain against the Ropes.

"Today, Marks our Freedom from this accursed Trap. Mark my words, the one that did it to us, will not go unpunished. Use this young lady as your Focus, Combine your powers into defeating the Time Space Bubble the seals us away. I. Your Dark master, will lend you my Strength. at my Signal." Kajeenith said.

Nearby, Layla waited anxiously. To be free, to seek revenge against the woman that took her slave from her.

The Dark Spirit hovered anxiously in the Skys. He was unprepared last time, but in his cooperation with Kajeenith, nothing would get passed him now.

Tribal Gods waited in fear, fear that he would succeed. They were powerles agqainst Kajeenith, he had taken their will away, and robbed them of their ability to commit suicide to get away from him.

Julia, great scientific mind waited, soon she would be able to get her resources to Challenge Cid. The only scientific mind that she hadn't yet bested.

The Time and Space Mages each Launched the Counterspell at the Great Bubble through the Helpless Woman. Kajeenith joined in at the Same time.
The Young Woman could not handle all that energy at once. She died, and her Soul led the way out of the Great Bubble, like a Mighty Pin Prick.

Cracks appeared all accross the Great impenetrable Time Space Bubble, originating from one point. Then, with a mighty bang, Kamigawa was released from its Prison.

Oddly enough, Some of the Dark Mages reported Kajeenith stepping into the Magick and disappearing, as though led by some greater force. Yet, here he was, standing before them, panting. in exaustion.

The Dark Spirit spread accross the Skys. Nothing entered, nothing left, not without his permission at least.

Kajeenith collapsed on a nearby stone, to rest, and recover.

Kajeenith was free, to the detriment of all.

Eldrad, being the only Snake Eater citizen in the Tower, had made quite a secluded existence. He had seen many physkers pass through these hallowed halls, and yet none had the potential to truly be one. He had lost students to their own power... one of them had even deserted the Tower, and gone to seek Chaos. He had been forced to end his students life with warpfire. She turned to him (as the Gold had been the one facing him), and he could see that her eyes were silver -- either one who came from a long line of Silver Class mages, or one that had been born exceptionally talented...or already marked by Resa to become her Chosen.

Her eyes narrow slightly. Now...what are you here for...

One possible future: we stand here and talk, and nothing gets accomplished.

But the past...he wanted to find another clairvoyant...but why...conversation for starters...and interpretation...but what has he been seeing?

As she couldn't find that immediately, she guestured for him to take a seat. It felt kind of awkward, as that was a role-reversal...but she did it nevertheless.

"So...you came here for conversation...what do you want to talk about? You'll have to forgive my bluntness...true clairvoyants see just how little time there really is to waste."

The arching of the eyebrow... a common trait among this class

"I am repeatedly seeing the same vision. A snake, coiled around a world. It is squeezing, squeezing the life out of this world, and then, suddenly, it dies. No given reason. Then it changes, and it becomes a battlefield... but the two sides are one and the same. And yet still they fight. It changes once more, a snake rising from the blood that has been spilt, more glorious than the one before, more pure. Tell me, what do you think it means?"
Kaymiril
18-09-2005, 23:17
She folded her hands in front of her, resting her elbows on the table. The tip of her nose pressed against her index fingers, which were raised, while the other fingers of both hands were folded over the knuckles of the other.

"The snake is a symbol of Snake Eaters...the battlefield can only be a civil war."

She closes her eyes, and lets the waves of the future and past come at her, seeking for this particular vision.

"I see a man in what I can only guess is the president's office on Snake Eaters...but he is not the current ruler. I believe him to be the snake you see squeezing the life out of the world. The battlefield with the two same sides is a Civil War...and quite a bad one, too. But out of it will rise a better, purer rule on Snake Eaters...after this false one is defeated."

She opened her eyes and looked back up. "At least, that is all I can make of it. I am young yet, I could be wrong or right. I would suggest asking Resa, or T'puuli."

18-09-2005, 23:19

Heck, there was even a Water Wizard and a Fire Wizard eyeing each other in that way all new lovers do. The air around them had Steam in it, of all things.

The Wizards all seemed to give prefrential treatment, to a Wizard, who was in white robes, and felt just a little more Powerful than the rest. This man, was obviously an Archwizard. The air around him seemed Rife with Energy.

OOC: Each of my Archwizards has a minor effect like that.
Energy, the air seems full of more Fashka then Normal. (Fashka = drow for energy.)
Water, the air seems Damp.
Fire the Air seems Dry.
Earth, Inside, The Walls seem Sturdier, Stronger. Outside, All nearby Rocks are shinier.
Sky, The Air seems Purer, Cleaner.
Healing, Everyone feels perkier, healthier.
Destruction (BKaymirilian Black Class equavilant.) FEAR. An aura of Fear and Mystery follows the Archwizard.

Druids, which are Magickal Jack of all trades, masters of Plant and Wildlife Magi who derive their powers solely from Nature itself, actually make all plants and local wildlife Healthier by their presence. This is very Minor in Mortals, However, Very Noticible in Arianna and Gaia.

Monks simply look Calm and Wise.
Rangers have that lone Wolf, moving from town to town type of feeling from them, probably because they can't seem to stay in one spot for very long.
Paladins, depnds on their Type. I'm Sure Kajeenith will get on eventually and explain the Dark sides of these feelings in his troops.
I have Paladins of Truth. They all have this Aura, that makes you not want to hide anything.
This is stronger in Rahegalhoff, because of his Demi-deity status. Unlike most Paladins, who have to Concentrate to discern Truth from lies, Rahegalhoff does it automaticly.

BTW NS]Piekrom, that wasn't Rahegalhoff that gave you directions, it was a Minor Priest of Warfare, who had a big over inflated opinion of himself.

Gods affect local areas based of their Domains. I won't post for anyone else, but Arianna Makes all local Plantlife Healthier, and improves the Health of Local Terrain.

Gypsy seems mysterious, wise, and entertaining all at the same time.

Slivers, they give off no Feeling, do nothing, except, be Slivers.

Thus, for Copperian, and NS]Peikrom, I have explained, how my Major Characters, effect local areas. It would be intresting to hear how the other Characters affected local areas, if at all.

A few aeromancers sparred, flitting through the air like the merest hints of a dream.

On the ground not too far away from Eldrad was a young Drow boy, dressed in black. He couldn't have been more than seventeen, and looked like he was about five or six. He was playing with a caterpillar he'd found in the dirt.

S -- "That's not too hard. Well, it is...but it's focused."

They come to a large circular room, and Tari takes up a rapier.

"We'll start with just these...show me how good you are."
Copperian
20-09-2005, 00:40
"I will tell her."
He drew his rapier, circling.
Kaymiril

Copperian
20-09-2005, 00:50
He feinted towards the head and slashed at her stomach.
Kaymiril
20-09-2005, 00:57
She allowed to give ground to avoid the blow coming at her head, before flicking her blade down to block the blow coming at her stomach, then knocking her opponent back.
Copperian

He jumped back and to the side, throwing her off balance. Then he slashed at her side.
Kaymiril
20-09-2005, 01:07
She recovered after the smallest portion of a step, not having moved very much to shove him back.

To block, she simply turned her blade. Stepping back, she locked blades, then flicked the tip of his blade down.
Copperian
20-09-2005, 01:09
While his blade was down he pushed hers up and stabbed at her again.
Kaymiril
20-09-2005, 01:13
She responded with a small circle parry.

"I can do this all day. Show me something new."

She stepped back, taking a defensive stance again.
Copperian
20-09-2005, 01:22
He took an offensive stance and slashed wide at her side, continuing to move forward.
Kaymiril
20-09-2005, 01:24
Thank you Raven for doing this to me back at the Academy...

She stepped forward, batting his blade aside and keeping her blade between his and her body, then launching forward. If he didn't stop...and his forward motion said he shouldn't, then she'd catch him in the chest with her shoulder.
Copperian
20-09-2005, 01:28
Rizzen continued to move forward fast, so that as her shouylder hit him it hurt both of them. He locked his blade away from her body and held it there.
Kaymiril
20-09-2005, 01:44
She'd been braced for the blow however, and drove her elbow into his stomach, using the momentum to launch herself back.

He flipped over her, spinning and slashing at her back.
Kaymiril
20-09-2005, 02:08
Tari whirled, and the sound of steel on steel reverberated through the chamber. She held the blade in place, then cast a freezing spell around her opponent.

"Shan, do you remember how to do this?"

S -- "You're doing so well, though."

T -- "I have a kid I'm supposed to be watching."

S -- "You brought him? And then left him."

T -- "Outside."

S -- "Then why are you here?"

T -- "Answer me that, will you?"

S -- "...Oh...Well, then I guess I'd better do it myself. It's the standard freezing spell, right?"

T -- "Yeah."

She teleports to the garden, and Shan takes her place, gripping the blade. He dispells the freezing spell, then knocks Rizzen back.

"Hello again."

Piekrom']I felt the need to repeat this because it got baried in all the other posts. So can someone help me.
OOC: While I never read The Sword of Shannera series, I have read the Sword of Truth series. We have one standered form of magick, unspokenly agreed upon, that we use. This form of Magick has many diffrent aspects, many branches and many uses. Simply go along with what we have, and you'll learn what you want.

Now, that doesn't mean we don't have four or five diffrent styles. Snake Eaters has his style, Balrogga has his style, Kaymiril has her Style, Theao has his Style, all of which are more modern easier to understand styles. I use a more Steriotypical Style, as does Kajeenith. We use medievil language, looks, thoughts, techniques, the whole nine yards, but along the way, we have an exoctic blend of the Modern and future world.

Find the Style that suits you best, and ICly, find a teacher. No matter what style you you choose, you'll learn what you want, and then develop your own style.

IC: Xos, Archwizard of Energy, eventually made his way from the Commons area, to the Library. He found Rahegalhoff attempting to find the books he requested, and, with a Laugh, told Rahegalhoff that he'd find his own books.

With a Sigh of relief, Rahegalhoff wen to an empty section of the Courtyard, and began practicing his Fighting techniques. He knew exactly three diffrent styles, and always spent three hours a day practicing each one.

He started out with the basics, swinging at imaginary enemies in the air. If one listened carefully, one would hear the names of some of his toughest enemies.

The skill with which he executed even the simplest of techniques, spoke of his long experience.

OOC:

To Piekrom:

Develop your own style and make it your own by carefully developing it through use. Start small and slowly evolve it over time. The longer you take, the more believable and realistic it will feel and sound.

My style of magic is called Meta-Magic. I affect the energy of the spells themselves. I can expand, reduce, or combine most spells. I can even manipulate raw mana into spells if I have to, but that takes a lot of effort for anyone who is mortal.

Snake Eaters
20-09-2005, 16:37
Snake Eaters has his style.

OOC: Continuing this point, I will explain my style to help slightly. I have two main magickal characters, one of whom you have already met, which is Eldrad. As you may have gathered, he is a six hundred year old Eldar Farseer of the Black Guardians. A gifted clairvoyant and necrovoyant, he is also a powerful physker and illusionist, as he was able to fool all but one mage for nigh on seven years that he was, in fact, a fourty-something old human being. As such, he uses mostly eldar technology, and is not a good representation of my true style.

The other character, who you have only heard scattered mention of thus far, is Cougar. He is a mage (of sorts), but primarily a solider. A Special Forces Colonel, born with a unique gene mutation that has caused him to be able to wield the power of the White Flame. This was the originally the Black Flame, but certain events over the course of his life have caused it to alter, and allow him access to a far greater power. However, being a solider of Snake Eaters, his entire body is infused with technology, in this case, nanomachines. These monitor his vital systems, and aid him in many ways, be it proactively or reactivley. As such, he is a blend of magick, training and technology... which is my style. A highly skilled swordsmen (at least, that's what we've seen from him over the years), a prodigal son in solidering etc etc. And thus, you have my style. Blending of all the worlds into one, where I can effectively do almost anything and still make it sound plausible.
Kaymiril
20-09-2005, 20:51
As Shan knocked him back, Rizzen jumped and spun in mid-air, slashing at his back. "Hello"
Shan turned and blocked.

"All right, we're going to establish rules. First off, we're trying to see how good you are, not how well you clumsily slash at people's backs. Your target is the entirety of the front torso -- that is, abdomen, chest, and arms. Stray from this, and this will stop being a sparring match."
Kaymiril
20-09-2005, 20:54
Eldrad was surprised by the boy's words,"That is amazing, Monian. I have never heard anyone so young speak words of such wisdom"
"People die. Things too. And then gone."
Snake Eaters
20-09-2005, 20:55
"People die. Things too. And then gone."

He suffered a great loss at a very young age to speak like this

"That's very true, Monian. Very true"
Kaymiril
20-09-2005, 21:01
At that moment, Tari found Monian, but let him be, seeing he was, at least, supervised.

Monian, on the other hand, spotted her as well. He pointed her out to Eldrad, and then started heading over.

"Look, Tari! Found bug!" He looks at his hand, and then remembers that he put it down. So he goes looking for a different bug, emerging from the grass with a cricket.

"See?"
Snake Eaters
20-09-2005, 21:03
Eldrad laughed out loud,"Monian, you are indeed a character"
Kaymiril
20-09-2005, 21:06
T -- *taking the cricket* "He always has been...and he came to us ten years ago. Absolutely adorable, though." She reaches out and ruffles Monian's hair, in response to which the child put his hands on his head.
Snake Eaters
20-09-2005, 21:09
"Tari, you are most definatley right in this respect," said Eldard, smiling at the child's reaction,"Monian, you must know Cougar, yes?"
Kaymiril
20-09-2005, 21:11
The child brightens up at the name. "Yes, know Cougar. Play ball. Well...drop ball, more often than not."
Snake Eaters
20-09-2005, 21:12
"Tell me, how is he?"
Kaymiril
20-09-2005, 21:14
"He good."

Tari gave him the cricket back, and he went off a bit to find a place to put it. He was trying to find another cricket to put it with, so it could have a friend.

T -- "Just recently his children were born. A boy and a girl. Tiny as anything I've ever seen."
Snake Eaters
20-09-2005, 21:25
Eldrad smiled,"At least those two will, for a time at least, expierence the greatest joy ever... then, it must be taken from them"
Kaymiril
20-09-2005, 21:27
"Yeah...rather old laws come into play there...but still relevant laws."
Snake Eaters
20-09-2005, 21:29
"No doubt... but I'm not so sure that those two would agree... but they will follow the rules. They have no choice"
Kaymiril
20-09-2005, 21:30
"Yeah, but it's something of a needless death ((translation: it sucks)). I don't know if they're planning to foster them out, or if he's going to keep them away from there, but it's going to be a rough century, at the least."
Snake Eaters
20-09-2005, 21:32
"He would not let his children be fostered... he will leave, of that, I can assure you"
Kaymiril
20-09-2005, 21:33
"Yeah...that's going to be very hard on her. Still...nothing to be done about it, really."
Snake Eaters
20-09-2005, 21:34
"It will be hard on both of them... things are bound to change"
Kaymiril
20-09-2005, 21:36
"Change is inevitable. What is he doing now?"

Monian was chasing (not running, though) after a furry brown thing.

"I seriously hope he doesn't catch that thing."
Snake Eaters
20-09-2005, 21:37
"WHy not?"
Kaymiril
20-09-2005, 21:38
"He's a child...and things like that tend to bite. And who knows what sorts of illnesses it carries?"
Snake Eaters
20-09-2005, 21:39
"That's very true. Shouldn't you stop him?"
Kaymiril
20-09-2005, 21:41
"I don't think he'll catch it. He'll tire out soon enough. Right now, he probably thinks it's a cat. He and Cougar's cat are pretty good friends, so why wouldn't he go after this new one?"
Snake Eaters
20-09-2005, 21:42
"Ah, at his age, he can't tell the difference. Cats are funny creatures... much like him"
Kaymiril
20-09-2005, 21:44
"You should have seen when we were trying to teach him telekinetics for the first time. We use water, their first couple of years...it doesn't hurt, if they drop it. That was funny. Messy...but funny."
Snake Eaters
20-09-2005, 21:47
"It has been almost two hundred years since I taught Elven children... they are a joy to work with, but can be very demanding... much like human children"
Kaymiril
20-09-2005, 21:49
"I've never worked with human children...just Drow children. And they can be demanding."

By this point, Monian had given up trying to catch the squirrel, and came back to Tari. He clambered up onto the bench beside her, then put his head on her leg and fell asleep.

"This one's adopted me."
Snake Eaters
20-09-2005, 21:52
Eldrad smiled,"You should be honoured... motherhood, even surrogate motherhood, is a major step"
Kaymiril
20-09-2005, 21:54
"That's how it is, at home. A kid'll find the older mage that it relates to best...and then that's that."
Snake Eaters
20-09-2005, 21:56
He nodded,"I can see that"
Kaymiril
20-09-2005, 21:57
"I'd better get him home and cleaned up, then report to the Master, then see that Shan hasn't managed to kill someone or get himself killed...the clutz..."
Snake Eaters
20-09-2005, 21:58
"He isn't all that bad, Tari. With Haldosir's blood in his veins, killing him is a tougher prospect than many give him credit for"
Kaymiril
20-09-2005, 22:01
"He may be descended from a famous person...but I've known him for longer than he'd like to admit."

She picks up Monian and teleports away.
Snake Eaters

IC: While traveling through the commons area he hears about Cougar. The discriptions seams to match the physical training he would like to work on but not the magik. He The goes up to a wizard of fire. He decides that since his his magik reacts in a simular way to fire that would be the best place to start. He thinks about going to an ice mage or whatever is comperable afterwards then spirit so that he might be able to combine fire and ice.

Rahegalhoff eventually tired of combating empty air. He could not use much magick, basic spells at most, and there was only one thing he could do as a Demi-God, make an Avatar, though not a very powerful one.

He paused, and cast the proper Deity level spell, and made an Avatar.

I wonder, if Renor were a Demi-god, I wonder what his avatars would be like, since all Avatars are slightly diffrent from us, the originals. Rahegalhoff mused.

And indeed, Rahegalhoff's avatars were less stern.

"Practice." The original Rahegalhoff said.

"Again? Well, at least don't try and kill me like last time. I am you after all." The Avatar Rahegalhoff said.

They went to opposit ends of the empty Courtyard section, bowed, and then went at each other.

The sound of their swords filled the Courtyard.

A man entered the White Tower. This in and of itself was not unusual, Men entered the Tower all the time. What made this particular one so unusual, was, he wore a seal on his back, that had not been seen in nearly a Decade. He wore, Kajeenith's seal.

The man pushed back the greyish black hood, to reveal a Bald head, and, and absolutly white eyes. He looked around the tower entrance survaying all that were there, then moved on with a sniff of arrogance. He moved towards the Library, looked at Xos, as one might lookat an inferior product, selected a certain book on the shelf, about Legendary monsters that never actually existed, and began reading at an empty table in an empty Corner. He glared at anyone that dared to approach him.

Xos was absorbed in a book about new forms of producing energy via Mechanical means, instead of Magickal. He felt the Strangers eyes upon him. Xos returned the Glare, And moved to the other side of the library.

OOC: Um, what don't you see about the words 'fire' and 'flame'? Cougar wields the WHITE FLAME! He's obviously got some vestige of pyromancer training to be able to use it well.
