He kissed her back for a moment, then broke it softly,"I'll see you later, before I go to bed"
He removed his arm from round her waist, his fingertips brushing against her stomach and side as he did so, before leaving to sort his kit out. The sneaking suit he'd asked for had arrived, and he checked it before all his other kit. This mission was procure on site... so he couldn't take anything other than his field glasses with him

She came in at around nine-thirty. ((That gave him about two and a half hours))

He lay down, and closed his eyes. He was asleep fairly quickly

He woke fairly early, about a quater to four. He rose quietly, taking a shower and getting dressed. By the time he was finished, it was quater-past four. He sat on the bed, stroking her hair softly, trying not to wake her. He knew she would get worried about him... he had to leave something to tell her he would be back. He kissed her forehead, and took his pendents away from his neck, putting them in her hand, along with a handwritten note:
'I'll be back for these. Miss you. All my love, James'
He stood to leave.

She stirred slightly, and her hand closed around the pendants and note, but she didn't wake.

She wakes up soon afterwards. He left already.
She looks down at her hand, and saw his pendants there. He never takes these off...he's going to feel so odd without them.
She read the note. "You'd better come back." She then slipped them around her neck. He'd know where to find them when he got back.

Over the next few days, she would get myriad feelings that she could feel. Excitement, fear, a sense of achievement... then it went quiet for a while. It came back after about five minutes... but it was subdued
D'anthe would start recieving an audio message... something he would never do on his own. It was completley against protocal

??? -- Never mind that. You were carrying an optical disk weren't you, with all the test data
C -- Yeah, that's right
??? -- Is that the only one? Theres no copy? If not, that's fine... you've given us quite a show. Taken a lot for one of Barbarossa's lackeys
C -- Well, we aim to please
??? -- Well, I'm sure we can change that much...
The transmission went quiet for a moment... and then came back,"All right, he's gone for a while. Rhenna, can you hear me?"

"Actually, not that much. He's over exaggerating. That, and I wouldn't be contacting you normally... it's just that one of them hit me round the head, causing the codec to start working... and it found D'anthe, for some unknown reason. S**t, wait a moment"
A few minutes later,"Sorry, they just moved me into a cell"

With that, he signed off. She would get the sense of a kiss through the bond, but other than that, she didn't feel much of anything, other than about twelve hours later, sheer amazement, followed by disbelief. It was short-lived however, and as predicted, he came back the following evening. He was limping slightly as he moved through Rendelmar, but for the most part, he seemed alright

He woke up to find her laying her head on his chest. He smiled, not being able to remember any time in the previous weeks that she had done this. The night before had been a great healing expierence for both of them... it was looking up for both of them. He stayed where he was, enjoying the tactile contrast of her cool skin against his relatively warm skin. He stepped down her bare back with his fingers, feeling each part seperately.

D'anthe came and perched on Rhenna's shoulder. There was something of a rivalry between him and the cat, but it mattered little...Cougar had his pet, and Rhenna had him. And he was pretty sure that he was more useful to Rhenna then that furry mass ever was to Cougar.

Shan got a small plate "whose idea was it to have fish for breakfast, anyway?" and spooned out some fish for Rosie, then grabbed an apple-esque fruit for himself. He set the plate down on the floor next to him. "There you go."

Cougar left the class. He was still 'high' from earlier, so it seemed as if nothing could really bring him down. He spent the afternoon training as usual, culminating in his sustaining of a lovely bruise on his thigh. He returned to the room at about six, having eaten quietly alone

He spent the morning honing his martial arts even further, focusing more on how they helped him control his own energy rather than his ablity to use them to harm. Running through the katas from karate helped him focus, letting him work that much harder during the afternoon

Rhenna's class from the morning gets back at around noon, and then Vedt's class is at one. Most of the age group looks fairly exhausted, but push on through the class, anyway.

He saw it as a testament to them that they pushed through the class. In his relatively calm state, he performed well through out the class, prompting him to decide to do the katas before breakfast from now on
