He went to the class, and went in with the others

Class is even more grueling than it was the day before.

He'd gotten back into the swing of things, and thus left the class with a headache, but a very slight one

Rhenna finds him several hours earlier than she should have.

"I have to go out for a few days. Nothing too bad...at least, it shouldn't be."

He felt a surge of fear, a natural reaction considering...

"Alright...*kisses her*be careful"

She kisses him back, staying close for a few more moments. "I will."

He held her there for a few moments, not really wanting to let her go, but knowing that he must at some stage,"I know you will"

"And if you have to go before I get back, keep yourself safe." She kisses him again, then steps back. "I love you."

He kissed her back,"I'll be here. I love you too"

She leaves.

He watched her leave, sighed softly to himself, and went to find something to do

Three days later, at about ten in the evening, she teleports directly into the room, covered in grime.

He looked up, and smiled,"I would ask what happened to you, but I know it would be a stupid question"

"Well, I couldn't answer. I'm going to go clean off...it might not bother you to be dirty, but it does bother me."

He laughed,"You do that... *slightly teasing*you look as if you could use it"

"I feel like I could use one." She heads into the bathroom.

He watched her go, and listened to the water run before settling back onto the bed, reading through the latest mission reports

She came out about twenty minutes later, clean, and laid down next to him.

He closed the file, and turned to look at her,"Feeling better?"

"Much."

"Told you I'd be here"

"And you are."

He sensed she wanted warmth, so he gave it to her. Putting his arm round her, he snuggled in closely

She cuddled closer, starting to warm to his touch.

Now, that was a good choice

He buried his face in her hair, revelling in the smell. Although she would never admit it, she was quite proud of her hair, and used a shampoo that made it smell amazing, but it was so subtle that you had to be able to get this close in order to smell it,"I'm glad you're home"

OOC: Where are you getting this whole "proud of her hair" stuff?

If I was scared, how must she have felt...

He didn't say another word, just stayed there, feeling her warm to his touch

It was warm and comfortable there next to him, and she felt herself beginning to drift off.

In an effort to stave that off, she looked at him.

"What have you been up to?"

He looked at her,"If were to say the word training, followed by the words ad infintum, would that mean anything to you?"

"It's what you normally do."

He smiled,"Well, given my situation, I would do plently anyway, so I may as well just do that little bit extra. No, I have had some time off, but not much. Mostly spent in the sand room, or wandering through some of the training rooms at night

"Did you sleep at all?"

Sleep is starting to sound like a good idea....but not quite yet.

"Yes... and no. The first few nights were fine, got a solid eight hours. Then it went downhill, down to about three."

She shakes her head slightly. "I expected this, from you."

"Hey, what can you do? It's just me, I'm not a great sleeper"

"You seem to sleep all right most times when I'm here."

"Even then, not all the time. You must have a good effect though, remember what I used to be like?"

"True."

He stayed where he was, and began to rub her shoulders,"Extremely tense"

She relaxes and cuddles in closer as her eyes begin to close. "It's been a long three days."

He lowered his voice as he continued to rub,"I'm sure it has. Go on, get some sleep"

Her words began to blur together. "I'd argue that, but I'm not finding any good arguments."

He smiled, and kissed her cheek,"Exactly, because there aren't any"

Her eyes closed as she cuddled in closer, and she was fairly quickly asleep.

He smiled, and fell asleep as well. He'd checked his schedule, he didn't have to be up until seven thirty. He was warm, comfortable, and she was home... what more could he really ask for?

She wakes at about six, but doesn't move...just stays there.

Her orginal waking didn't wake him up, but in classic Cougar style, he never slept as long as he was meant to. After another half an hour, he woke. He lay there, his arms round her and his chest pressed to her back, and said blearily,"Morning"

"Good morning." She turns over and kisses him. "You still sound half asleep."

He kissed her back,"I might be, I don't know at the moment"

She smiles. "You don't have to be up for almost another hour."

He opened his eyes slightly,"This is me we're talking about. I never sleep as long as I'm meant to"

OOC: COnsidering that we have lost Kay for another few weeks, and this time it's true, as where she's going doesn't have interenet access, I think we should go back to the orginal arrangement that we discussed two weeks ago

Leviathan looked at his friend, as if to say,"Are you going to show yourself or not?"

Warfare snapped his fingers.

It is a known fact, that Gods have such presences, that if they choose to show themselves, Mortals cannot help but feel, and know of their presence, though not necesssarily which one, unless that too is chosen.

Thus, the man from scandinavia immediatly knew that Warfare was standing behind him.

Caught between two Gods, let alone two Wargods, that would be enough to make some people nervous.

"I am the Elder God Warfare, what is it you seek me for?" warfare asked simply.

His long hair and clothes were blowing as thoough in a wind, yet there was none. It was all for effect.

Leviathan resisted the urge to roll his eyes at Warfare, for he knew that when it came to entrances it he was just as bad. All they could do now, was wait

On the surface of Warfare's mind where Leviathan can pick it up.

"So, I heard you wanted to see me. Congratulations on discovering your domains. Psionics? Didn't see that one coming, that's for sure. I know you can pick these thoughts up, and read them. So, Think back, and tell me, why'd you want to see me?"

Leviathan thought to himself and to Warfare,It's simple really. Firstly, I need your advice on a number of issues that have been troubling me lately, and secondly, having the domain of War means you're a good person to come to let me learn

Agrinja came strolling into the tower, only to find Leviathan and Warfare talking to a strange new man. Nearby was another man he hadn't as of yet seen before. He listned, and he listened well. The Spectral slivers, Ancestor spirits only to Slivers, told him he was of Snake Eaters decent. He too, knew necromancy.

Agrinja decided to take a chance, wander on over, and get to know his fellow Necro.

"Well, Its nice to see you. We don't often see very many from Snake Eaters here, unless you count Leviathan, and Col Cougar, but Cougar I understand, got married and moved somewhere else." Agrinja said in a friendly manner.

Eldrad looked up as the new man approached him. You are correct, the Colonel now lives in the Queendom of Kaymiril. He drops by occasionally, but not very often. Might I enquire as to your name?"

"I am Eldrad, a member of the physker unit of Snake Eaters. I am no necromancer, I was born with ability to see the dead and talk to them... they are far from silent. Essentially, I am a medium, but I also am able to manipulate the powers of the Warp in order to fight in magickal combat"

"Ahh, One thing we do know, If you can see and talk to spirits, you can develop the power to control them. I know, I wasn't born with the power, but with training, and practice, I was able to become a master Necro.
The Warp, negative chaotic Magick?"Agrinja said.

"So, what's on your mind then?" warfare thought back to Leviathan.

"I don't know what you would call the warp... some call it the Immaterium, others simply call it the Warp. It is inhabited by creatures, some malevolent and unfortunatley that number is rising. It is becoming more dangerous for physkers such as myself to tap into the Warps power, as they can attack us"

"Well, why don't we leave an Avatar of Me with this fellow, and go talk?" Warfare thought.

"Hmm, perhaps you should learn an alternitive form of Magick, perhaps develop Necromancy, that way, your not at risk by the Warp." Agrinja suggested.

Leviathan nodded slightly,"Good sir, I must leave you now to attend to other matters"

Eldrad considered this,"Could you help me? I don't know anything about Necromancy, other than that it is banned in most nations"

Warfare appeared to take a seat. In truth, he vanished and left an Avatar there.

He left a trail only Leviathan could follow, since Leviathan was the only other God present, and vanished to an open plane on Mirroden.


"Why, I'd be honered. Come, lets go upstairs to the Library." Agrinja said. He then lead the way upstairs to the Library.

Eldrad followed Agrinja to the library, and waited for him to start teaching him

Warfare took a seat as well. A random jolt of electricity ran through the world. It was in turmoil ever since Warfare abandoned the Warhaven project.

Warfare jumped slightly.

"So, what was it that needed to be said, rather than thought of? its alright here, no other sentient life exists, save for the redux, but that's in the middle of the Tangle." Warfare asked.

Agrinja meanwhile went to a bookshelf, carefully selected a certain book, and the case slid asid to reveal a book case full of Necromancy knowledge.

Agrinja found the one he was looking for, set it in front of Eldrad, and ran off into a spiel about Necromancy, using various parts of the book that explained what he was talking about.

The Spectral slivers materialized, and guarded the doorways against entry. For now, the Library was private.

Agrinja answered the questions. Agrinja didn't realize it, but he transitioned smoothly into the style of Magick his Guild, and the Kaymirilian hidden class, headed by Renor, were known for weilding. Thus, Eldrad was being taught Necromancy, and non-elemental Magick, without using the Warp.

Leviathan thought for a moment,"Have you ever heard of the Pantheon of Chaos? I belive Cougar submitted a paper about them to the Council Library not long ago"

But all the bloodshed recently has merely served to strengthen Khorne... and what with the Eldar losing more each day, Slaanesh is also gaining strength. The omens are what could best be described as 'not good'... I'm also very disturbed by some of the visions I've been having"

Agrinja snapped his fingers, the light faded away, and returned, only to find them on Riptide, near Agrinja's Black tower.

"This is the feild all beginners practice on. Take your time, and don't worry. This is Riptide, Warfare's planet. Your quite safe here. When the time comes for you to return to the tower, I'll take you back, meanwhile, this is perhaps one of the best places to practice. If I'm not here, one of my most trusted students will be. its almost time for the students to practice anyway.
Most will look like you or I, save for some, will be Slivers." Agrinja said. He backed off to the teachers block.

A great illusion sprang up. Eldrad was in a nondescript stone room.

IC: Leviathan looked at Warfare quizzically,"What are you on about? The Eldar, the space Elves. I would have thought you would know something of them at the very lease. They were inadvertantley the cause for the creation of Slaanesh. I never mentioned the Elder Gods, did I?"

"Anyway... these visions are disturbing. They all have a similar theme, that of Snake Eaters burning, her fleets decimated, her people enslaved. Theres symbols of Chaos everywhere... and a single human leading the forces. Chaos Undivided incarnate"

Eldrad looked around him, and concentrated, a ball of necromantic energy gathering in his palm, and smashing through the first target

ooc: It was an IC mishearing, not an ooc misunderstanding.

IC:"Well, sometimes the best defense is a good offense. Why not make a premptive strike against the Chaos Pantheon? I won't let you stand alone though. I will support you 100%. Oh, and the Eldar/elder thing? It was a mishearing on my part, don't worry." Warfare said sheepishly.

Eventually, a score of Slivers and other students came in through the wall.

The Slivers seemed to recognize Eldrad, but other than that, went straight away to work practicing their magick.

The targets changed, and disappeared. Vizzerdrixes appeared to hop through the wall. Oddly, there was enough for one to attack everybody. One hopped over to Eldrad, sniffed him curiously, and decided to eat him anyways. The Vizzerdrix attacked with one of its Claws.

Leviathan thought about it for a moment, then shook his head,"I don't have the power for something like that. They've been around as long as Dark Gods have existed, and I've been here what, about two thousand years? I don't stand a chance... and if my suspicions are correct, then they will be united for the first time in over ten thousand years"

Eldrad was not a swordsmen like Cougar, but that didn't mean he couldn't fight when he had to. He carried on him a blade carved of wraithbone, a gift from the Eldar when he had trained with them, in order to learn the trickery of the warp. He blocked the swipe, and took a step forward, thrusting his own blade

"I've been around longer than the Dark Gods, if not as Warfare, then as part of my Father, Yore. If you do not want to strike first, then you had best walk amongst your followers and prepare them. You, and Col. Cougar both. Although, I do hope you'll remember me when the time comes." Warfare said.

The Vizzerdrix was regenerated.

"This is a Magickal training simulation, not a physical training simulation, please fight accordingly." Agrinja's voice said.

Leviathan thought about it,"He and I have been aware of this for many months... we have been working together, using all our avliable resources, to find out as much as we can... and I doubt walking among my followers would be a very good idea. The clerics are bad enough as it is... so much prayer it's deafining, I had to shut most of it out. Cougar doesn't get it any better, so many offers to bear his children... an issue that is even now still among those that he will not discuss"

Eldrad swore softly, and sheathed the blade,"All that craftwork, and I can't use it. Oh well..."

He put his palms together, and drew them back to the right-hand side of his body, a ball of dark energy gathering within his palms. He was using a variation on an attack he had learned under the tutelege of the Eldar. He chanted the appropiate chant (can you guess what it is?), before unleashing the assualt on the Vizziedrix

"Well, whatever you decide." Warfare said.

When one Vizzerdrix would die, two more would spawn in its place.

Leviathan smiled,"Now, about this domain of War..."

IC: Eldrad swore, and opened up a hole in the ground to destroy one Vizziedrix, and then attacked the other with a Warp attack, a spiralling mass of pure energy

Four vizzzerdrixes faced Eldrad.

The students clustered around in a circle around Eldrad. They too were out numbered.

Suddenly, the illusion vanished.

"So, tell me what you have learned from this exercise?" A woman with Raven black hair and black eyes asked. She had white skin, and seemed human.
Her black robes with the classic stars and moons covered everything else. A pair of similar gloves covered her slender delicate hands. She seemed fragile. Agrinja was nowhere in sight.

IC: "Can you help me?"

A girl, appearing to be around 20, entered the tower. A black band covering her eyes was wrapped around her head, while her blood red hair cascaded down her back. Sticking out of her back were the hilts of two ornately designed swords. She looked for the nearest person and asked, "Could you direct me to the master of admissions."

Meanwhile, Costh decided to head to the tower, see what was going on and get some practice.

"I can help you, yes. I can teach you secrets, I can teach you tricks. But Mastery must come from you. It is the same with each Domain and deity.

War, Peace, and Psionics will manifest diffrently in you, than in me, Arianna, and any Psionic Gods.

You know me, you know Odin, we both have War, yet we're completly diffrent, as is the manifestation of our domain. Your favorite weapon will become the symbol of your domain.

You have both, so I would suggest, until you get more used to the mastery of your domains, and understand your limits, that you exercise some measure of caution." Warfare said.

Warfare exercised his Creation domain, and a cloud was created beneath them.

The Cloud carried the two accross Mirroden. Below, a group of creatures stirred restlessly.

"First, you ,must learn how to change the feelings of others. Your first task, is to spark Hatred, and Anger among those creatures. Direct their feelings towards each other. These creatures a natural enemies, so it won't be to difficult. Next time, it will though." Warfare said.

At the 'sight' of the Sliver, she draws both blades and was about to attack it before coming to the conclusion that if it was dangerous it wouldn't be wandering around. The blades are returned to thier sheaths. The whole process takes less than three seconds. "My apologies." She said gesturing to the hilts. "I wish to be admitted into a the magickal program."

Leviathan nodded, concentrating his focus onto the two creatures, emphasising intially anger at some trivial thing, and then gradually changed it into a deep rooted hatred

"I see... I assumed you were his apprentice due to your appearance"

"You are trying too hard. You should be able to do that without concentrating too hard. It should be almost at will with you. If you try too hard you will amplify the effect too greatly. That can cause even greater effect than you wished. There are times that it could prove disasterous, like if you are trying to affect the outcome of a treaty so it will not be signed and instead it breaks down into genicide. That is an exapmle that happened beofre to another you don't know so the possibility is there. Just remember to be careful how much energy you put into your attempts."

When Leviathan looked around to see who was speaking, at first he could only see Warfare. Slowly he noticed the very air around him was slightly discoloured. BelDragos slowly faded into view.

"Did I hear someone talking about the Elder Gods earlier?"

Leviathan surpressed a gasp, and instead bowed his head to BelDragos, the eldest of all the gods, a key part of the Multiverse itself,"With the greatest respect, it is my first attempt at this. I suspect that there is always ways to improve on a first attempt... and it was I who brought up the topic of the Elder gods, most specifically the Pantheon of Chaos"

At the 'sight' of the Sliver, she draws both blades and was about to attack it before coming to the conclusion that if it was dangerous it wouldn't be wandering around. The blades are returned to thier sheaths. The whole process takes less than three seconds. "My apologies." She said gesturing to the hilts. "I wish to be admitted into a the magickal program."
"This tower is a research center. Perhaps you have heard of the Wizards Council Hmm? They have a college of Magick there. It, is on my home planet of Riptide." The Sliver said. He then directs her on how to get to the Space station above Riptide.

Leviathan surpressed a gasp, and instead bowed his head to BelDragos, the eldest of all the gods, a key part of the Multiverse itself,"With the greatest respect, it is my first attempt at this. I suspect that there is always ways to improve on a first attempt... and it was I who brought up the topic of the Elder gods, most specifically the Pantheon of Chaos"
Warfare nodded at Beldragos's words. They were correct.
"I believe the first time I altered feelings towards War, I accidentally caused a whole world to go to war with itself." Warfare said.

Below, the creatures anniahlated each other. The Cloud floated on carring the three gods.

Eventually, they came to a group of creatures, that, seemed like brothers. They came in five colors, Red, Green, Blue, Black, and white. They were called Slith's and they were all getting along well. Natural eminity did not exist. They would be hard.

"Now, make them not like each other, then, remove the hatred. The first will prove difficult, the second, will prove easy." Warfare said.

"What's Morte up to? I haven't heard from him in ages."

Leviathan turned to look at his latest task, and thought carefully, before reaching into the Slith's hearts, without really trying, and working their deeper, darker emotions. Those of jealously, anger, lust. He worked them all subconciously, and gradually that hate would begin to build. As it did, he waited, letting them learn to hate even more. It was difficult, to be sure, but taking into account all living beings had desires and motives that even they did not know they had, it was actually a fairly easy task

As the hatred reached fever pitch, he reached out again, once more doing it without much thought, and caused these feelings to subside, for those who had caused it to forget why they were about to fight, and instead worked to reconcile the differences, before restoring the balance that had existed before

"Very nicely done. You do have a knack for this."

"Those who claim that enmity never exists are mistaken. It exists, but many of those who are close friends will not admit to it, even to themselves."

"You are partially correct. There are some beings that it does not exist in. The Multiverse is one such being. Our Mother has great love for all her creations frm the Eldest to the newborn. I believe I was also created without it but I am not sure. It has never surfaced. I am needed by everyone to provide Power. That is for those beings who are Good and those who are Evil. I exist in all beings who uses Power so I cannot have Emnity. I exist in both Warfare and his brother. I can feel their Emnity but I do not know if I possess my own."


The cloud drifts further. There is a crowd below that seems to be excited. It is a soccer match and the game is very close. The emotions are running rampant in both directions of joy and hatred.

"Let's see what you can do down there. Don't let anything get out of hand because we don't want a riot. The key here is subtlity. There are many to control so that is another key to consider. This will show you how to control a large number of people who are experiencing opposite emotions."

Leviathan scowled,"Interesting... very interesting... why can't these people be more like rugby fans"

He looked over the scene. It was chaotic, to say the least, but there was at least some semblence of order. Manchester City was 2 - 1 down, and anger was high. In stark contrast, there was immense joy on the side of Manchester United. Two emotions, completley opposite in task, but stemming from the same thing. It was amazing to watch.

He reached down, and began the widespread task of reducing the anger on one side, and the joy on the other. It was difficult, this was the local derby after all, but he managed to bring down most of the feelings before too long. He couldn't control it all however, and a few minor incidents started. Broken glass, fist-0fights... the works in this case. The local police got the situation under control, and Leviathan distinctly heard one say,"Thank God, I don't know how we managed that one"

"I am impressed. You handled that very well. You seem to know that having the War portfolio does not mean you have to cause wars. That is a lesson many have not learned so easily. Nations of mortals have suffered because of this. That means you control wars, not the other way around."

BelDragos looked at Leviathon.

"What other Portfolios have you discovered?"

"It is interesting you have War and Peace. They are opposite sides of the same coin. One will help with the other. Sometimes a small battle must take place to keep a greater war from happening."

"Psionics... hmmm. What do you know of them?"

"I am unique among the gods for that reason alone. And as for Psionics... I have taken some time to look into the topic, but my understanding is limited"

"Considering that it is one of my domains, it could safely be assumed that I have a major influence... and I see. "Well, do you know if you have minor or major influence?"

"You see, ther are about ten Abilities in Psionics. Each Ability allows the user to access various Powers that are based upon that Ability. An example would be the Ability of Telepathy allows the powers of Illusion, Mindblow, Emtion Sense, or Telesend and Telerecieve."

"The difference in Minor Access and Major Access is the number of Abilities you can master. You would get all of them, being a god, but if you don't have a Major access to them then you cannot master all ten."

"An impressive range of powers... I assume that Psionic Resistance is very general, and therefore is not as effective as, say, Psi Static?"

"That is correct. It is useful to have if you don't know the attack. If you do, then the counter Anti-Psi would be the choice. There are not specific powers to counter all the other powers."

Leivathan thought about it,"And you say that some may just come naturally?"

"Through experience you will become acustomed to everything. You possess the kernals within you to grow into your talent. I made sure they were fertile a few moments ago. You only need to aquire the knowlege."

"Do you wish for me to attempt to begin to learn these skills now, in your prescense, or do you wish to move on?"

"Being a god possessing Major Access to the Psionics Porfolio you would already possess them. You only need to practice them. Right now, the knowlege is important. What would you like to learn next?"

"What is this Psychic Vamperism?"

"Psychic Vampires drain emtion, life force, or even dreams from others. In one of the wars in the past Galvenor used one of these powers to drain the invisable psi creature that attacked him during the crisis with the Sliver Queen. Would you like to learn more about the Powers associated with this Ability?"

This could come in extremely useful if my plan comes to fruition

One of the first things you will learn is to carefully guard your thoughts. When people talk, they also broadcast their surface thoughts. It sounds like two voices but the thoughts are ahead of the voice. If you think to yourself, you are broadcasting your thoughts so another Psi can pick them up easily. These Psi abilities and powers really might become useful later.”

The Powers of Psychic Vampirism are Lifeforce, Soul, Drain, Drain Emotion, Steal Dreams, Steal Energy, and Steal Power.



Lifeforce is the theft of the target’s life-force.

Soul will trap the target’s soul in a gem and then you can draw upon it as if it was a battery.

Drain allows you to drain the physical attributes of the target like strength, dexterity, wisdom, IQ, ect…

Drain Emotion allows you to remove emotion from the target. It could be love, fear, hate, or even lust. Be careful with this one. Things could get uncomfortable…

Steal Dream allows you to siphon the dreams away from the target, making them slow and tired.

Steal Energy allows the target to be drained of the psionic energy they use.

Steal Power allows you to temporarily take a Power away from the target and use it for yourself.

Moving on, The eminity between me and Kajeenith, is not natural. Its like hating yourself. All I know is, Kajeenith changed after the war of the gods. His actions forced me to take this side. The reason I say its like hating yourself is, me and Kajeenith are not "Real" Gods like Beldragos and his siblings, or any other gods, even you. Me and Kajeenith only have half a soul, the same soul. The soul of our father, Yore, the keeper of the balance. If Chaos becomes too strong, I may have to once again become one with Kajeenith, and restore in our place, Father Yore. The reason being, The balance must needs be maintained for yet awhile longer, and if the Chaos Pantheon unites, it will most definatly upset that balance. Yore is not of the Multiverse. Yore is of the original disagreement, when Satan tried to take over Heaven's throne and was defeatwed and thrown into Hell. Thus Yore was born, to ensure peace and stability until Judgement day.

IC: Leviathan looked at BelDragos,"Drain... If I so choose, can I return this energy that I stole?"

You should be able to if it is not used. It also depends upon the state of the target. If the target is dead, then nothing can be returned.

"That much would appear obvious"

"I do not think so... would it be possible to consult you if I do decide I have anything more?"

"Try to contact me using your Psi abilities and if I hear you I will come."


BelDragos dissappeared. No puff of smoke, no fading, no clap of thunder, nothing spectacular.

He just simply dissappeared.

Leviathan nodded,"Now that's much better than a flashy entrance, eh Warfare?"

"That was flashy. Its just apart of our nature I guess. Although, If I tried hard enough, I could do something really flashy and awe inspiring." Warfare said with a grin.

Leviathan shook his head,"Always having to be bigger and better... anyway, I must be off. I want to put in some practice to my Psi... I'll see you soon"

He snapped his fingers, the Black Flame flared, and he was gone

Warfare assumed a disguise, and wandered Ephseus to get his mind off the Chaos Pantheon.

Talking to the other Travelers, He learned, most disturbingly,that appearently, Someone named Jester set up an Amusement Park, and kidnapped random people from it. They all disappeared after Random Magickal spells and items were used on them. This wasn't a matter for Slivers to investigate, this would require an experienced Mage.

Warfare cast a spell, He would be heard by Cougar, wherever he was. Warfare was able to do this, because Cougar still had Feiros, and Warfare could find him anywhere through that.

"Cougar, this is Warfare, when you get amoment, come see me, would you?" Warfare asked. The Channel was open, and the spell would cause the Feiros to Flare breifly as Warfare spoke. Warfare awaited an answer.

The response was instant. Cougar looked up, focused, and appeared next to Warfare,"You rang?"

"Look down there." Warfare said.

He pointed at Jester's Palace. It looked like a Combination of a Circus, Theater, and AmusementPark, all tied up neatly with a dash of Carnivale.

"That wasn't here a month ago. I've been walking Ephseus. The Travelers of Ephseus have indicated that random Guests have been disappearing under Magickal circumstances." Warfare said.

Cougar looked down at the place,"Yeah... I would think something like this would take ages to build. I've had an outpost put onto this planet since I gained some land here in the Kajeenith War... they haven't mentioned anything. So, why did you call me?"

"Because, they've all been from places associated with the council, making this a council matter. (ooc:We'll get them all back, with no ill effects, so, don't worry about that.) Your the head of the Mage forces, and I want to send one of them in to investigate the matter. I was thinking Costh myself, but your the resident expert in these matters." Warfare said.

Cougar mused this a moment,"He is the only member really, bar myself, and these power levels are close to Costh's own... I think he would make a good choice. I'll need to brief him though"

"Just a moment." Warfare said.
He was famileir enough with Costh to use a specialized summoning spell.

"I think I know what cottage your talking about. The Mansion on it is beautiful." Warfare said.

The Cloud took them to Rolling Hills Mansion.

Warfare closed his eyes.

"Costh, Rune Mage of Theao. Come, appear before me." Warfare said as he cast the spell. It was an integral part of it, so it was neccary.

If Costh tried really hard, he could resist it. However, he would know who was summoning him.

Cougar nodded,"I haven't had a chance to look over it... I might take a while to do so. I left a note with Rhenna, she knows where I've gone"

Costh appeared, "Hi Warfare, Cougar. May I ask why you called, I was just about to get lunch." He said, a trace of annoyance in his voice.

"I summoned you, because I have a mission for you, offical business of the Wizards Council. Lunch can wait a few minuets. I have told Cougar of it, and he'll breif you more in a second, but after he's done, I'll have one more thing to tell you. Then I'll treat you to Lunch." Warfare said.

Cougar raised an eyebrow,"Lunch can wait. I need to brief you on your first mission. Follow me"

He walked into his mansion, and walked into an empty conference room, letting the back wall become a flatscreen panel. He'd asked for this specifically,"Take a seat"

"Alright, if it's buisness." Costh replied, "So what's the deal?" He asked Cougar.

Warfare whispers something in Cougar's ear, and takes off.

OOC: I have to go. Be back later, or at least, My Dark Side will be....

Cougar waved a hand, and displayed the Jester's Palace,"This is the ever so humble home of a being we know only as Jester. This place has sprung up in the last month. Now, this in itself is supicious, but when you look at what has been happening, it becomes even more so"

He waved his hand again, showing a number of mug-shots,"You may recognise some of these people, they are all connected in some way to the Council. They have gone into the Palace, and as of yet, none of them have come out. They are not the only ones. Large numbers enter, but a slightly reduced leave. We don't know why, and that is why I have a mission for you. Simply put, your mission is to infiltrate the building, posing as a normal person, and find any clues that could lead to us finding these people. I won't lie to you Costh, this mission is dangerous. We're up against an unknown person, who is potentially an enemy, and worse, we don't know anything about the interior of this place. You can turn the mission down, and no one will think any less of you"

Cougar shot a glance at Warfare before he left, and nodded. He'd wait until the mission was confirmed

Costh studied the compound, as well as the pictures. "I'll take the mission." Costh replied, "I'll need a few minutes to prepare." So saying he began concentrating. Every rune on his body glowed, before fading and as they faded they disappeared from view. Now if someone would preform a cursory scan of his potential, he'd appear as having talent, but no training. "I'm ready now."

Cougar held up his hand,"One other thing, Warfare has a side mission for you. It is rumored that Jester has a few Magickal artifacts in his Palace. Warfare wants them, in one peice, safe and sound, for investigation. He would have told you himself, but he got called away. Also... I wish for you to take a sidearm, as a last resort."

He reached into the desk, and brought out a Sig Sauer 221 SP,"This is a nine millimeter pistol. I'm giving you three clips, along with a silencer. This is a last resort only, understand?"

"Alright." Costh replied as he took the pistol. "So to re-iterate, go in undercover, find out who or what the Jester is, what's it plan and where the abductees are. Also if I can, find the magickal artefacts and get them out, intact, and bring them for Warfare to study." Costh summed up.

"Essentially... yes."

Cougar went round the table, and put his hand on Costh's shoulder, transporting them to the overwatch position,"I'll monitor your approach. This throat mike is stimulated by your vocal chords vibrations, so you only have to murmer, and I can hear you. This earpiece will allow you to hear me. Check in every six hours at the very least. Good luck"

"Alright." Costh replied as dealt with the earbud. "I may blast your ear as I walk down, as I'll be practicing to get it right." He said as he attached the throat-mike. He then headed down to the Carnivel and as he walked, began practicing with the mike, starting out at a low voice and steadily getting lower as he began improving.

I'm glad these earpieces adjust to normal hearing ranges

"Costh, these earpieces adjust to suit the users hearing range. You could shout as loud as you want, and I would hear it only as normal speech"

"Alright." Costh replied, in a whisper, "Will be going silent, am nearly there." He said as he neared the Carnivel.

"Alright. Remember what I said, it works automatically. I'll be able to hear every word. Find somewhere secluded if you want to talk to me properly"

"Will do." Costh whispered as he arrived just outside the gates and began heading in.

OOC: Warhaven knows nothing, and is nothing more than a glorified Godmoder. I am Kajeenith, his Darkside. Jester is under My command. I do apologize though for the lateness of this post, its simply my Work schedule.

IC: The Gates were common wrought Iron. they had an average everyday forest pettern on them. Jester's palace seemed to be free, though a stern looking man was standing around to keep the peace.

There was every sort of Ride and Game one could imagine. Food stands dotted the Fairway, and Jesters were going arouind entertaining the crowd. Off to the left was a Mirror Maze, the featured attraction of the day.

A sign on the side said:
"Solve the Mirror Maze today, and win a Night in Jester's Palace, You Won't want to Leave." The words Want to appeared to the common eye, to be a part of the script. For a Rune mage familier with words and symbols like Costh, it was obvious they were scribbled in afterwords.

A jester walked by Costh juggling an impressive twelve balls at once.

Further on down, past all the rides and the Mirror maze, Lay a water park, what could be in there?

Finally, A robin lands on the roof of a Carnivale/circus tent. attractions galore obviously lay inside.

Beyond it all, way in the distance, lay Jester's Palace. Jester's mysterious and Private home.

Jester was looking at the latest guest. Perhaps Lord Kajeenith would like a nice Labor Slave, if of course, he wasn't magickal. No rnes seemed to be on his body, so Rune Mage was ruled out.

"Jester, explain yourself. I ordered you to capture a good number of Souls from the Wizards Council in the Mirror of Lies, not every single one that came in to visit. That youg man that just entered, get him. Perhaps One of the souls in the mirror of Lies will be able to unlock the powers of the mirror of truth." Kajeenith said. He had changed slightly. His voice was no longer resonating with power, and his eyes, his eyes had changed. The whites had turned Black, every other part of them was now white.

Feel free to make up most of it as you go along. The Mirror maze is the only thing that must be a difficult challenge for Costh. it should take at least one of the Nine hours. At the end of the Nine hours, stop, and tomorrow night, I'll post more with Jester.

Costh spent some time exploring the Carnival. Occasionally he would get in line for a ride. He played a number of games. He also happened to get a candied apple to snack on.

ooc: sorry if post is bad, not much carnival experiance to draw on.

Cougar lay there, watching through a snipers scope. He'd altered his position to suit it, and was even now watching Costh as best he could. He couldn't help but smile. The man's actions spoke one of two things: that it was a natural gift, or that of someone who was very naive. Cougar only hoped it would be the first. He continued to watch as the hours passed

A call cam on an unnatural wind to the White Tower, many who were commonly here were invited to a wedding, the god of Warhaven, Warfare, and his wife, his brother was not invited, the Queen of the Warhaven hives, Colonel Cougar, and his love, as well as any others who would be interested in coming to the weding from the Tower, it was rather vague about the people involved, but the place and time were clear, one week from now, and The Eternal homeworld.

about four and a half hours through, a Jester in a Blue outfit and Silver bells bumbed into Costh.

"Pardon me sir." The Jester said with a grin.
"I hope you are enjoying your day here. Have you tried the Mirror Maze yet? I hear those who complete it without calling for help get to stay the night as Jester's Personal Guest. Its a grand feast too, with a night of partying and festivities. The North wing will remain closed for, repairs, however the rest of the mansion is free to explore." The blue Jesterite said.

OOC: I don't know how much more obvious to make it. If Col. Cougar can hear what the Jesterite said, than perhaps he'll understand what to do.

"No I havn't tried the mirror maze yet, will be doing it though." Costh replied to the jester with a slight inclination of the head. He then sought out a lavatory. "Did you get that?" He wispered into the mike, while taking a noisy piss.

Various people give costh a funny look and walk out.

If costh looked in a mirror at his back, he would discover a sign on his back, placed when the Jesterite bumped into him, that said:

"Hi, Please throw delicious Banana Cream pies at me. I really enjoy them and can never really get enough."

Jester walked in, saw it, smirked, and threw a Banana cream pie at Costh.

OOC: Sorry man, couldn't resist, but you will be getting plenty of More jokes.

The pie hit him square in the face. He blinked a few times, then licked his lips. "A bit tart." Was his comment as he wiped his face clean.

"I'll make sure the next one is sweeter." Jester said.

He took the sign off of Costh's back, showed it to him, laughed and walked out. As he left, he "Dropped" a little glass jar on the floor full of a ourple mist. Those who breathed it Laughed uncontrollably at anything and everything. The effects lasted for two hours.


A nearby man who looked like he hadn't cracked a smile a day in his life, sniffed it, looked at a jester doing a funny act, and laughed really hard.

Costh continued on his way, stopping by a corndog vendor and picking up two corndogs. He noted the laughing man and chuckled a bit himself, "This whole place seems like one big farce." He thought.

OOC: COngratulations, you figured it Out. The whole thing is a Farce, a front for what's really going on.

"Yeah, I got that. The North Wing closed... bollocks. I can't see anyone moving in or out, but other than that there is no way in hell that it is undergoing repairs. I would suggest you move to the Mirror Maze now. Last light is at 1945, and we want you inside before that"

The Mirror Maze was in a Five story building. The building was a common one, with absolutly no windows at all.

The Mirrors stayed clean with a low level enchantment. The floors were polished Marble. Lights were every five feet. It was next to impossible to distinguish Mirror from Hallway. A sign outside warned that all Magick use would be detected, and would be grounds for automatic ejection from the park.

A staircase appeared to be at the end of the hall.

Blue Jesterites appeared to be everywhere inside the maze. grunts and groans could be heard inside the maze. Other Patrons? The Man from the restroom was inside looking himself in the Mirror and Laughing.

His image slowly faded away.

The second Costh steps into the maze, he too would be caught by the Enchantment that would cause his reflection to, disappear.

"I've got a sweeter Pie for you." Jester said, and flung a cheesecake at Costh.

Then he disappeared round a corner.

Jester went back to his mansion.

Inside was his brother, the Dark Bard.

"Brother dear, how have you been?"Jester asked the Dark Bard at the same time The Dark bard asked "How have you been, Brother Dear?"

They Hugged for a second.

"Where have you been, O brother mine?" Jester asked.

"Traveling creation. Our Dark Lord convinced me to join him." The Dark Bard said.

"Help me you must." Jester said with a shake of his hands.

"I must help you. How though?" Dark Bard asked with a shake of his hands.

"There is a person entering the mirror Maze, Lead him through. The Dark Lord wants him. But impede his progress so that it appears we're not helping him." Jester said.

"I will lead him. Why does Our Dark Lord and tormentor want him?" Dark Bard asked.

"Our Dark Lord believes that with enough souls he can activate the Truthful Mirror."

"Our Dark Lord has the Mirror of Truth?"

"Truely, and he desires its powers, so that he can find the Mirror of Lies."

"Where are they?"

"Have both I do, with many souls trapped inside."

"How do you trap a soul in a mirror?"

"Its the last challenge of the Mirror Maze. The Grand Mirror of Enrapturement.
Those who gaze into it find something so fascinating that they have to stand there and stare at it. It takes their soul if they stare long enough. I can force their soul into any other Mirror then. I keep them in the north hall. Its closed for repairs."

"And this soul is the Key?"

"No, just the last one to get trapped."

"What if some no name enterprising Light God finds out and seeks tto make a name for himself?"

"They only one we have to fear is Warfare, and only if he comes to the Carnivale. Kajeenith promised to take care of him then."

"Would he send a spy maybe?"

"Our Dark Lord said he wouldn't have the intelligence to send one of his pet mortals."

The dark bard, in his Black Leather entertainer's outfit, walked to the Mirror Maze.

Jester shook his head.

"Wonder about him sometimes I do."

Dark Bard muttered to himself " Sometimes I wonder about him."

Costh entered the mirror maze, he began working his way through, occasionally bumping into a mirror, as he concentrated on threading his way through the maze.

As Costh dissapeared from sight, Cougar sat up. He saw no point in watching for someone who could be some time. Besides, if he was good, he would make contact as soon as he finished.

He laid back, his hands linked behind his head, and closed his eyes, enjoying the dying warmth of the Ephesus sun. After he had been there an hour, Rhenna 'popped' into existence next to him,"So here you are"

He opened his eyes, and smiled up at her,"Looks that way"

Rn -- "So what are you doing here?"

C -- "Council assignment"

Rn -- "Costh?"

C -- "Yeah. He's working his way through the maze"

She laid down next to him, kissing him softly as she did so, before laying her head on his chest. They lay there, just spending a while together before they returned home

OOC: I like Sephiroth mainly, but I love all the great FF villians. Probably something you don't want to hear from somebody leading a council of peace.

IC: Faintly at first, then slowly growing into a beautiful melody on Harp, a song seemed to be guiding Costh through the maze, up, left, right, straight, down the staircase and into the basement...

Costh followed the sound of the music into the maze.

IC: What Costh found down there, was yet more mirrors.

A mirror closed the waay behind. He was now in a room, it appeared to go on forever, but was really only 9 FT by 9 FT by 9 FT.

The mirrors grew warmer, and warmer until large Heat rays shot out of them towards Costh. They were warm enough to melt most things on contact. two of them headed for Costh.

OOC; Large wqaves impossible to dodge unless your THAT acrobatic, like a perhaps an entertainer along the lines of, maybe, a Jester or a bard...

Warfare walked back into his castle.

"Hi honey." Was all he said. It went downhill from there.

Within the space of 30 minuets they could be heard arguing about the modernization of Warhaven.

Without all the cussing and foul language, the more intresting points were:

Warfare is an old man stuck in the ancient era.
Arianna's a child that doesn't understand the advanteges that come with a giant old fashioned castle.
Warfare's a fool who can't bring himself to accept the advanteges of modern day conveniences, such as an electric light.
Arianna's blind to the fact that Modern technologies have exploitable weaknesses. At least with the ancient technologies, Warfare had managed to make them invalid.
Blind men could hobble into the castle, or anywhere else for that matter and prove more of a threat then an entire hord of rampaging Vizzerdrix.
Vizzerdrix are unintelligent beasts.
So is Warfare.
Arianna isn't exactly the brightest light in the sky either.

At that point, things got even uglier, when Arianna flippantly remarked that Kajeenith was more of a God than Warfare could ever be.

Warfare wanted to hit her. He restrained himself completly, and instead knocked down a nearby wall and left.

Arianna yelled Coward and chased after him.
Warfare disappeared to his Realm, only Arianna could follow since they were married.

Warfare yelled at her to leave him alone with such Vigor and force that she actually backed off a step

Then she struck the first blow, a slap to the face after yelling at him not to yell at her.

after a good ten minutes, everything was in shambles, and they were holding each other close. With a wave of their hands, Warfare's realm returned to normal.

OOC: aren't marital arguments fun?

Kajeenith smiled happily. His brother must be having a marital argument.

Costh sensed the beams/waves and made a few rapid calculations. He might be able to dodge, but not likely. While magick was a distinct possibility, there was the risk of disqualification. Seeing the beams he decided to go with the magickal option. Rapidly drawing a flame rune, he generated a shield which would cause the waves to bend around him rather than hit him.

Multiple Heat beams struck for costh, but, we're forced to go around. Afterwards, a door opened. The music lead Costh on.

Left, Left, Right, Left, Right, Right, straight, Up the stairs...

Costh headed down the maze, following the siren song of the music.

Up the stairs, he found the terror of Mazes, A minotaur. It sniffed him sneezed, and decided it didn't like this new addition. It decided to squash Costh with one of its giant cloven hoves.

Costh, seeing the minotaur, rolled his eyes and groaned. "How cliche can you get." He thought as he watched the beast charge. Seeing how magick didn't get him kicked out the last time he decided to try again, he used a rune to summon one of the spears he'd made from Tellyon's body. Spear in hand he braced and returned the charge.

Thing of it was, it was all in illusion. Costh's Spear went right through. The music almost spoke.

Come, come little Rune Mage, just a little ways, I have something intresting to show you...

Right, Right, Left, Straight, Left, right, Left, straight, Left, right, Right, straight, straight, Left, Right, Left straight, Left, Right, Right, Straight Right, and up the stairs...

The floor above looked much taller...

Costh returned the spear to it's place and followed the musical path.

The door to the lower levels sealed itself shut. Dark Bard's (OOC:Real name forth coming) voice floated across the floor.

"You know your not supposed to use Magick in here. I'm not my brother, Jester. I'm The Dark Bard. Now I'll have to severly chastise you instead of kick you out." Dark Bard said.

The Mirrors suddenly grew kinda foggy, which helped, until the fog rolled out of the mirrors, and became so dense Normal people couldn't see their hand infront of their face. Then it condensed, and became water. Costh was afloat on an ocean, at least the mirrors made it seem that way. Just as unfortunate, was a Large 16 tentacled Mutated Royal Purple Octopus straight from the twisted soul of Kajeenith that was intent on eating Costh.

It wrapped one thick rubbery tentacle around Costh, and pulled him beneath the water. It also went through mirrors as though they weren't mirrors at all...

Costh looked at the Octopus and grinned, "Calamari," he said as he was pulled under. He used two runes to flash-steam the octopus. One was a fire rune, the other water, put the two together and you get a bolt of super-heated water.

OOC: Did you ever think the posts would make it this Far? Theao got number 10,000

The Octopus Screamed and yelled "Octopus Soup, Yeowch!" It was after all, Mutated. It Slapped Costh with a tenticle.

Costh was knocked sideways, he proceeded to swim to the surface and used a wind rune to lift himself out of the water and sent a bolt of lightning into the water.

The Octopus was tough. It had good Magickal resistance. The water was high enough he could reach up and wrap five Tenticles around Costh, and begin squeezing the Life out of Costh. Its most vulnerable point was its Eyes, and it kept Costh well away from them.

"Shocking" Was all it said.

"Puns, my one true weakness." Costh said as he went limp. "Or not." He said as he sent another bolt of super-heated water into the octopus's face(as much as it had one).

It went crazy as it was blinded. It banged Costh into this mirror, that mirror, and finally threw him through the ceiling, which fixed itself. Costh was on the Fith floor, and infront of a highly ornate Mirror. The Mirror was Magickal, and one of the Artifacts Warfare wanted.

The Image in the Mirror was one suited to the Veiwer, it was of something so intresting that the Veiwer would really want to stay there for a long while, simply staring into the mirror, watching whatever it was they found most intresting.

OOC: I don't know what would be that intresting to Costh, so you'll have to post that part.

The Octopus Screamed and yelled "Octopus Soup, Yeowch!" It was after all, Mutated. It Slapped Costh with a tenticle.

Mith arranged it so that I could have a child by him while spending a minimum amount of time with him." A slight smile crossed her face. "I just hope it doesn't take after its father."

"It smells and looks delicious, but I'm busy, and anyways I'm not hedonistical. The demands of the flesh will have to suffer for a moment." Costh commented to himself, as he walks around to look at the mirror from other angles.

"So your pregnant then? congratulations mother. I'm not worried about him. If he even so much as attempts to harm you, I'll bring my Dark sibling back and have him do unimaginible things to him."

The trap sprang. What Costh saw was an image of himself, Darker, scaryer. As he would be as a Demi-God, only this Image was an Evil one. The Costh in the Mirror appeared twice as big, twice as strong, twice as fast as costh currently was. Dark energy flowed from it, as it had access to Kajeenith's powers.

It stepped out of the Mirror, and grabbed Costh to throw him into, and trap him inside of, the Mirror.
