I'm in a very similiar RP with Aequatio involving such a situation, but all I have there is an airborne company. I'd love to be a part of a coalition or even just a Cravanian force to attempt to restore order to the city. I mean, I live for this desert-like Mid-East crisis stuff.

Well, for starters, I joined up, and Jolt gave their forums a facelift.

I like the ability that they added for "Multi Quote". Instead of clicking "QUote" on each one and then copy and pasting what you want. You click the multi quote button and then hit "Reply" and it will add them in for ya.

OK, tommorrow I'll post about the "Corporate Alliance Humanitarian Intervention". How about: "We have witnessed the atrocities commited in this conflict, and have come to the decision that something must be done - therefore, we have dispatched an Intervention Force. Our paratroopers will be arriving at their oil wells shortly."

We do not wish to be a big part in this 'intervention' because our military is not yet perfected but we shall send along one of our preists with each batalion that goes in. All are military cirtified and we have specialists if need be.

But we will help with clean up.

Alright. Now it's time to unveil the secret Undershi special operations going on in the area we just began to intervene in - the barbarians were being supplied by the Undershis. Now, they are no longer recieving any supplies - including ammunition and fuel for their few "armoured" units - and should be real push-overs. After all, no matter how suicidally dedicated they are, warriors with spears are no match for power armoured Corporate Alliance soldiers with PMT weapons...
Basically, I say we take over and split the territories between the Corporate Alliance nations involved in the intervention. What do you say to that?

(What I mean is: how about Undershi gets the populace and the cities, while the Blackhelm Confederacy, as themselves or as their corporate alter-ego, the Maldorians, No Taxes and 31337 Soup split any oil fields, diamond mines or other valuable resources. This is up for negotiation, of course...)

(Also, I think you should know that the Khornate Tribes player is with me on this - he wanted to become part of the Undershi Empire, and I was more than happy to oblige - I just wanted to get you guys in on the action.)

That little nation is a relatively new one, one that has had this big thing about how they're building up their army... but, currently, they only have, like, five battalions - only one of which is in the territories we are discussing. Idealy, we should be able to get them to leave (and let us split the territory) without a shot fired - we have 250,000 plus men there, they have only 1,000 plus some fighter squadrons.

Well, I'm being invaded by Undershi and some of his allies under the guise of a "humanitarian intervention" after a bunch of looney barbarians killed most of my populace. Happy with that explenation? (Oh yeah, and the barbarians were supplied by Undershi as part of a covert program to grow his influence into my nation - and to make my little territory into an Undershi colony.)

As for valuable resources, other than the people and the plentiful scarp material in the ruins of the cities, my nation has the following:

- A fairly decent diamond mining area in the north,
- Some oil fields in the west, in the middle of the area that used to belong to the "City People",
- Plenty of iron and nickle deposits in the western area,
- Plenty of coal deposits - mostly in the western area and,
- Excelent cattle land in the eastern grass lands where the barbarians used to roam.

- Total Value of Oil: There are about 10 billion barrels of oil in The Khornate Tribes, which, at modern prices of about $75 per barrel, comes out to 750 billion dollars.

- As for other deposits, there are some, including significant Aluminum deposits, but not a whole lot of anything else from that list.

its the same with Missile spam, you can only write about how many missiles strike your vessels/buildings/troops before it gets old... fast...

Furthermore, I send about sixty-eighty aircraft to bomb the same column. And nothing was said about it. Was I to just assume his column was decimated, or was I to say they all magically went POOF!?

Oh well. People need to RP more often.

My military has buckled down a bit, and has become more conservative. (Still keeping my fifty million personel.) It's going on the rise in two weeks.

The easiest way, is to simply ask the person what it does, thats what OOC threads are there for, to clear up confusions so that the IC goes smoother, remember Do not assume anything, because it makes an ASS out of U and ME

If in doubt, Ask! most players will have no problem with explaining some technology on OOC terms, but you'll have to remember as well, that what is said OOC can't be used IC, so for example, (I don't mean to be speaking to you like you know nothing, but its mainly for the benefit of newer players who may not be sure)

If someone tells you a weakness of a battle tank, OOC, it would be inappropriate for you to suddenly start firing your weaponry at that weakness, theres a thin line that you have to tread In and Out of character, the safest way is to chat to your opponent and iron out any confusion :)

Well, I wouldn't think you'd want a reputation as an alliance that screw over it's own members, rather than an alliance that screws over everyone else. Kind of an impediment to your alliance continuing to grow. And trust me, if you try that, I'll make sure everyone knows, IC and OOC.
