In regards to 8th Army's Succesful attack of Late October early November he didn't have the resources to do ground recon and DAF only allowed him to see what they wanted him to see using Aerial Recon.

In regards to 8th Army's Succesful attack of Late October early November he didn't have the resources to do ground recon and DAF only allowed him to see what they wanted him to see using Aerial Recon.
I can't remember the name of the operation that disguised 8th Army's positions the dummy tanks airfields pipelines etc but it was a masterstroke.
No, I know he had tons of supplies at Tobruk, but he didn't do proper aerial recon, iirc. Depended on the point in the campaign. In the end, Rommel's armor didn't have enough fuel to continue the battle. He wasn't being properly supplied or reinforced.
