I've actually found that I find it rather cool and flattering that those *insert current number of votes* people who voted for me actually did vote for me rather than the other girls. I mean, that's pretty incredible and cool in and of itself. I certainly never would have thought that I'd make the cut for that many people.

I can see that I'm maybe not a total troll, but that more than the 1 or 2 people I actually knew would vote for me pick me in face of the competition is rather astounding. :eek:

You also have to remember the people for whom you may be a close second and third choice! :)

That said, I agree. None of you are even remotely troll-ish (Disclaimer: Remember that I'm not talking about posting-styles here! :p ) and you should be proud of yourselves. And if this builds your self-confidence it's a good thing.

Well, I'm not sure I would ever set up such a contest to actually build someone's self-confidence :p, because you're absolutely right - it's a very fine line between joy and self-doubt.

Usually, I would come down squarely on the side of self-doubt in things like this :p, so I'm actually quite surprised by my serenity and certainly happy to have it.

That's kind of why I posted it here, because there really is something to what I said, it's not just empty "Oh, but the results don't matter, we're all fantastically amazing and beautiful!" but rather actually true for every single one of the girls (or anybody in other, similar polls).
