Design
The Watchman is a replacement for the previous class of vehicle-mounted air defenders, which had become outdated for the modern military, and has quickly performed its abilities at four hundred percent of the previous defender. It derives its name from Greek mythology’s Argus, a hundred eyed monster that was Hera's watchman, because the numerous holes on the front of the vehicle could be looked at as the eyes of the Argus. With its relatively small chassis housing a powerful armament, the Watchman is a necessity to any mechanized division, creating a missile shield against enemy aircraft and their payload of missiles and bombs.

The new design for this missile defender takes on a more armored, track-style vehicle that has its pros and cons. Its additional weight, lack of wheels and engine space has lowered its potential speeds both on-road and off-road; however, it is still faster than most armored vehicles in use in mechanized divisions, so there is no fear of it not having enough speed or range (especially with additional external fuel tanks increasing it from five hundred miles to eight hundred miles). The added weight is mostly present in the form of Triada Armour, providing the vehicle with a greater defense against low-caliber fire (though a direct hit from a missile or tank round would most likely take it out). Additionally, with a low ceiling and small interior the vehicle has little space for comfortable seating; the driver is significantly lower than the gunner and generally needs to have his legs stretched forward, while the gunner’s head sticks up into the "turret" area, which rotates to capture all three hundred sixty degrees of the battlefield.

Armament
The armament consists of four levels of defense for enemy aircraft and missiles from both long and short ranges. The three-by-three grid of holes near the bottom of the turret launch surface-to-air missiles from each tube with a maximum acquisition range by the sensors of five hundred kilometers. The High Energy Laser, Dr. Hell, can be used at both short and medium ranges against missiles and aircraft, especially helicopters, but needs a great deal of energy to maintain fire. There are five lasers located at the top of the vehicle in a cross design; an amount that superheats the surrounding metal and can strike quickly and powerfully at its targets.

Dr. Hell, named as such for its devastating power and as an acronym "High Energy Liquid Laser Missile Defense" (the last two being M.D. also stand for Doctor), is one of the newest technologies in the Dominion arsenal. After extensive research and trillions of dollars put into the operation, the system was produced in a compact manner that still delivered a 300-kilowatt beam. The device is contained in a five-by-two-by-one-foot unit, which can be manipulated so that the laser can move one hundred fifty degrees (front to back). The deuterium hydrogen laser is powered by an advanced, large hydrogen fuel cell combined with solar panels on the surface of whatever it is emplaced on.

When deuterium is used instead of hydrogen, the deuterium fluoride, lases at the wavelength of about 3.8 µm. This makes the deuterium fluoride laser usable for terrestrial operations. The deuterium fluoride laser constructionally resembles a rocket engine. In the combustion chamber, ethylene is burned in nitrogen trifluoride. This reaction produces free excited fluorine radicals. Just after the nozzle, the mixture of helium and hydrogen or deuterium gas is injected to the exhaust stream; the hydrogen or deuterium reacts with the fluorine radicals, producing excited molecules of deuterium or hydrogen fluoride. The excited molecules then undergo stimulated emission in the optical resonator region of the laser.

The laser, as previously stated, is primarily a missile defense system. The high-energy beam, targeted by an advanced onboard computer and capable of being connected to a vehicle's main computer, locks on and reaches its target at incredible speeds faster than anything it is targeting. When the laser beam makes contact with its target, their are different possible results: it could possibly disintegrate the armor, heat shield, or adhesive measures effectively ripping the missile apart at such high speeds; it could cause the warhead to prematurely detonate, destroying the missile in midair; it could destroy the onboard computer and guidance system sending the missile off-track; it could, through quite rarely, if it manages to contact the engine and/or fuel, cause it to explode. However, the laser can also be used on other targets with varying results, the best being another aircraft due to the nature of its design and location.

There are four 25mm Bi-Gattling Cannon located on either side of the turret are built onto leveling platforms that can adjust the angle from its normal forty-five degrees up to eighty-five degrees and down to negative five degrees. The cannons have eight barrels in total, allowing them to create a virtual screen of bullets to take down enemy missiles and close in aircraft. However, with its rotation ability the guns can be turned down towards the ground and brought to bare on enemy vehicles and infantry (there are no other weapons for land defense). Finally, located at the bottom of the vehicle are six centrifuge guns located on a single leveling-platform, thus cylinder fired at the same time must fire at the same angle.

The Anti-Missile Charged Centrifuge Gun is a missile defense system that can be incorporated into vehicles, aircraft, fixed structures, and naval vessels. Multiple AMCCGs are mounted onto a vehicle (generally 4 in total) so that they can cover all angles of threat - with each one covering roughly 25% of the vehicle. The AMCCG maintains a moving projectile inside the centrifuge so that upon firing it can reach immense speeds (over 7500 ft/sec) and hit the missile before it reaches its target. The actual projectile it fires is a 10-inch cylinder with a 1-inch diameter, with the tip being the top three inches. The tip is sharpened to extreme deadliness so that it can penetrate the missiles armor: then the tip is hollowed out and packed with explosives that will detonate on impact. The entire cylinder is immersed in an electro-magnetic charge while in the centrifuge and carries it to the missile - attempting to destroy the missiles computer system. It is controlled by the VCCS system which locks onto the missile and when in range fires the AMCCG.

The M200 Desolator is a hulking piece of equipment meant for siege warfare and devastating enemy lines from a protected position. It is basically an armored tow-bed with a massive gun on its back. Its name is quite suitable as it delivers such a powerful blow that it leaves a desolate landscape in its wake.

Built on a flatbed of consecutive metal panels, the M200 rides on quad-tracks and is stabilized for firing by six ground clamps. Because the massive gun causes so much heat, some of it is transferred to the vehicle's systems below, thus it has numerous heat vents on various parts of the body. At the front of the body under the flatbed is the heavy engine and its fuel tank. In the back of the vehicle under the flatbed is the cannon's autoloader and rounds. The size of the rounds would require at least three men to manually load, thus the autoloader is of vital importance and most undergo constant monitoring and repair to keep it in optimal working condition. However, though the body of the vehicle looks crude and bare, the cabin at the front is quite different.

Inside it is actually quite luxurious as far as military vehicles go. A ladder leads up to the door and inside the command area where all of the controls are used by the three crew members. The entire front would-be-windows have been installed with the Satellite Based Reality Reproduction system that gives the operators a real-time view of their targets on the battlefield. It is easily tall enough to stand up in and walk around and after the three chairs sitting at the controls, it has room to be customized with other equipment or furniture. One could fit in a bed so that crew members could rest during transit or more supplies in case they need to remain inside during a radiation storm or bio-chemical leak. More importantly, however, is that the cabin is encased in thick armor, the windows are small and extremely dense, and it has been sealed from outside conditions, making it NBC-proof.

While most modern vehicles used in the field maintain a myriad of systems to protect themselves, the M200 has been determined too large to be able to operate most of those systems to any degree of worth. However, it still maintains the SBRR, DAC, EMP DAD, VCCS, and Dr. Hell. Additionally, while it has a layer of Triada Armour, it was kept to a low thickness so as not to weigh down and slow the Desolator any more than necessary. The overall philosophy is that the artillery piece would rarely be operating without a considerable force that is capable of protecting it. Most would be brought up behind the main force when necessary to bombard enemy positions with powerful artillery.

The cannon itself is a 60-caliber 500 millimeter piece of weaponry with a shooting range of ninety kilometers. In order to fire, the vehicle must come to a complete stop and deploy its stabilizers so the vehicle does not rollback on firing. It is capable of launching standard, nuclear, or bio-chemical shells without changing anything. A force of these cannons firing of rounds at a maximum of two per minute can create the most devastating firestorm ever on a battlefield. Additionally, there are two High Energy Lasers that are perhaps the sole active defense (besides countermeasures) against enemy missiles - the one true threat against the M200 because of the range between the enemy and the artillery piece.

The UH-65 Rogue was designed to replace the aging but well known Black Hawk helicopter. As its predecessor was, the Rogue was designed to be a multi-use utility and assault helicopter capable of performing excellently in utility operations as well as in combat. However, whereas the Black Hawk was built with a couple different designs for varying tasks, the Rogue was designed to meet all of its tasks in a single body. It was built more compact and sturdier, but with increased power, both literally and figuratively.

It is shorter in all three dimensions and has smaller rotor blades than the helicopter it is replacing. The tradeoff in internal space results in a net loss of two passengers, but has a slightly increased internal cargo weight. The true difference other than its sleeker appearance is in its performance; the maximum speed of two hundred forty-five miles per hour is over twenty miles per hour greater when the pulse-thrusters are deployed from the top of the helicopter and engaged. Furthermore, the ceiling height for the helicopter is over a mile and a half greater and the vertical rate of climb allows it to reach that height over three times faster than its predecessor. Finally, while the Black Hawk can only maintain its internal capabilities or a haul load of roughly eight thousand pounds, the Rogue can carry its internal cargo and passengers in addition to ten thousand pounds of external weight (maximum, five thousand pounds optimally). Thus it is easily capable of deploying a team fully equipped with supplies and weaponry and a humvee with room for still more cargo.

Other additions to the helicopter include the ability for the rotors to fold into the main body so that storage or hiding is easier when on the ground. The combat radius of the aircraft is four hundred ten miles, but for long missions or ferrying, additional fuel tanks can be added on equippable wings that extend the range to seventeen hundred miles - it can also refuel while in the air, though the need for such measures would be very rare. Also, their are two possible configurations depending on the mission in the sense that one can use either two or three crew members. With two crew members (allowing twelve passengers) there are the pilot that flies and the gunner-loadmaster that operates both the onboard weaponry and the winch, battle ropes, ladder, and haul cable from his seat. With three crew members (allowing eleven passengers) there are the pilot that flies, the gunner that operates the weaponry from his seat, and the loadmaster-electronics officer that operates the loading equipment and the electronic suite from a console behind the pilot. However, though it is not standard configuration, it is possible to install the necessary equipment for six crew members that would transform the Rogue into a complete aerial Command & Control base capable of operating near or on the battlefield.

It is minimally armed due to its design so as to leave enough room and weight to perform its tasks. At the front, under the nose there are a pair of Hell-Raiser Machine Guns that can provide close air support against infantry while the cargo or passengers unload from the air. On the underside of the chopper is a mine dispersal system - if used in large amounts the Rogue could deploy and monitor miles of minefields on the battlefield. Finally, for missile defense there are four High Energy Lasers, known as Dr. Hell, that are located strategically to defend as much of the helicopter as possible. Additionally, a electronics warfare suite and all of the other normal systems are installed from countermeasures to liqui-gel, creating a high-tech utility aircraft.

AC-1 Eclipse

The AC-1 Eclipse is the first of its kind in the Dominion arsenal; it is a blimp based, airborne, aircraft carrier with a standing compliment of fifteen fighter planes. Its primary function is to travel long distances - roundtrip over ten thousand miles - and launch carrier based attacks anywhere in the world from a safe distance. Under no circumstances should it enter hostile airspace or lower to an altitude reachable and capable of being sensed by fighter aircraft and anti-aircraft missile batteries or it would be in extreme danger of being targeted and destroyed. The defenses, though of high quality, are limited and the very nature of the blimp makes it an easy target for enemies that can reach it. Thus, from a safe distance far away from its target, it can arrive launch its fighter compliment, wait in the shadows for their return, and then fly far above the clouds back to its base.

The standard armament is few and far between. On the sides of the undercarriage two air-to-air missile launchers are retracted for maximum flight abilities. Situated around the cockpit of the blimp are four Anti-Missile Charged Centrifuge Guns capable of launching high speed, metal cylinders at incoming missiles, especially those on an impact course with the only housing facility aboard the ship (though any direct hit from a missile will most likely have devastating affects). The lone weapon capable of being used against enemies on the ground when, for some reason, it is in extremely low altitude near the earth is a fifty millimeter canon located directly under the bridge. In the off chance an enemy aircraft gets close enough yet has not destroyed the airship, the cannon could be turned on them with the proper aim and firing abilities. However, both are extremely rare situations thus the cannon could be removed prior to liftoff (though at little benefit due to the lack of weight caused by the helium filled blimp). Finally, one High Energy Laser, known as Dr. Hell, is situated in the nose of the ship, while tree more are guarding other areas. Their lasers can target enemy missiles and possibly aircraft and are the main defense of the airship if it is encountered by an enemy aircraft with capable range.

Whilst airships have been used in increasing frequency within the civilian world, the military sector has rarely used them for offensive abilities or as launching platforms for a fighter strike compliment. Thus the Eclipse's specifications were required to be within certain parameters with the armament and compliment coming as secondary. At nearly two hundred meters long it casts a large shadow over the land, but when it reaches its maximum ceiling of roughly twenty-four miles it is but a dot of white behind a clouded veil. The airship is powered by a pair of RA-20s that engage the eight pulse thrusters located on the sides of the craft and a TLS300 engine that turns its rear propulsion system. Additionally, to provide backup power and power to the crew's minimal facilities, twenty-five thousand square feet of solar panels were equipped and draw in the sun's powerful rays. Its supplies and fuel allow it a maximum flying time of forty-eight hours, which affects its range depending on the altitude it is traveling at; the higher the altitude, the less dense the air, so the airship travels faster.

However, besides the tactical usage and recommended restrictions, perhaps the trickiest and most difficult part of the airship is the launch and retrieval of aircraft. The nature of its design necessitates high quality pilots with a lot of practice on simulators before attempting a real life landing exercise. The airship has five "drop-launchs" that are like elevators lowered from the body. They each have three levels with room for one aircraft each. To launch an airplane, the elevators can simply be lowered and then the rear thrusters of the craft can blast it out; however, it can also open like a bay door and drop the fighter out the bottom. If numerous "droppings" are required, the second level of the elevator can lower to the bottom and open as well as the third. The trickiest part, however, is in landing the planes once they return from their mission. The runway created by the five elevators if at equal height is too short for almost all planes traveling at high speeds to land at. Thus aircraft with vertical landing ability can enter through the bay doors in reverse, starting with the third level, which would close upon entry of the first aircraft and return to its normal level. Due to the small size of the square opening in the "drop-launchs," pilots must be skilled enough to keep the plane steady and land quickly before its bottom-thrusters give out. More so, it becomes even harder, and is highly warned against, if the airship is moving when the planes are attempting to land. It can be a useful tool, but requires great skill and tactical knowledge to use and operate effectively.

Design
The Pulse Class Stealth Carrier follows a trend of unique and experimental designs naval vessels and for aircraft carriers in particular. This carrier was designed as a catamaran on compressed pontoon-esque cylinders. Its structure was based on that of a Shadow Class Stealth Ship, but it was enlargened to the point that it could carry numerous aircraft and sustain multiple runways. However, it is still quite a unique and complicated craft that takes a skilled crew, talented pilots, and planned leader to operate optimally.

As there is no room for a true hangar on the ship, all aircraft must be stored in the belly of the ship on the inner runways. It is also possible to store them on the roof, but that would generally defeat much of what makes the ship a stealth craft. They are capable of supporting roughly forty STOL aircraft or fifty VTOL aircraft (or a combination stored properly with VTOL nearest the exit and STOL in the middle) depending on all relative sizes. Because of cramped quarters, those aircraft nearest exit will be the first to be able to launch on any sortie or defensive mission. Both ends of the inner runways are capable of launching or landing aircraft (equipped with catch wires that stop aircraft by mid ship), and also all four areas have doors that are too remained closed at all times except just before an aircraft is landing. At the true rear of the ship (though it is capable of launch and landing both ways as well as travel both ways at equal speeds - only called the true rear as the bridge is at the other end) are a pair of elevators to raise aircraft to the roof of the vessel for takeoff. The roof is generally the best area for takeoff and landing of STOL aircraft because it should not be populated with those in storage. Finally, in the interior of the ship, at the sides, are six doors that fold down into launch pads for VTOL aircraft and helicopters. At any time the carrier could launch both six STOL aircraft and six the VTOL aircraft.

The ship is powered by the most advanced technology in the form of two Rickover TLS300 nuclear reactors. The nuclear reactors combined with water-pulse thrusters give the vessel the ability to reach speeds of thirty-five knots at maximum (or 28 knots at perfect silence) and assure the crew that they will always have the necessary electricity. Also, in a rare design idea, the four water-pulse thrusters that propel the vessel are placed at both the front and the back of the ship, one in each corner, facing opposite directions; at any given time only two are in use, but can be switched easily, thus the ship can perform a one hundred eighty degree turn without ever actual turning, and soon be moving at normal speed again. The engines and reactors are encased in advanced structures that have been built with sound dampening and capturing material so that the ship can run as silently as possible; it is also saturated with liqui-gel to keep the surrounding area from becoming too heated. Many unused areas on the surface of the ship also have solar panels that capture the sun's rays and convert them into stored energy for any possible situation - thus even if the nuclear reactors are all damaged to the point of inoperation and the backup battery runs out of power (minimum eight hours), the solar panels, even in partially cloud conditions, will supply emergency power. The nuclear reactor is assisted in the propulsion of the ship by the PIPD system that allows for little to no disturbance of the water that is traversed.

This is a 'silent' propulsion drive. It works by having tubes running the length of the naval vessel the EMDS is on. At the front an electrified grid ionises the water molecules, so that the percentage of ions to molecules is increased to roughly half and half. The ions are then split into two different tubes, one for the positive ions and the other for negative ions. These ions are then accelerated by charged pads running the length of the tubes. As the ions pass by they are repelled by the plates in turn, increasing the velocity of the ions. At the rear of the drive, the ions are allowed to re-combine, removing any trace of passage.

Passive Defense
The ship also uses the latest technology in its stealth design to protect it from enemies' eyes. Along with the design of the ship being geometrically constructed to disperse radar to the best of its ability (though obviously still seeable on radar, just to a smaller degree), the vessel also employs multiple advanced systems. The first of which is a joint HES and Mist Refraction System, which is designed to prevent the ship from being seen by the human eye.

The HES system can be activated to create "stealth" to the human eye. The HES system digitally reproduces the surrounding environment onto tiny LCD screens located on the entire surface of the ship. If working correctly the HES system can accurately reproduce its surroundings creating an active camouflage to the human eye. However the system is not perfect and can be affected by intensive lights and angels, which cause abnormalities in the reproduced image and making the ship easier to see.

The Mist Refraction System uses high-frequency generators on the side of the ship. These excite the molecules in the air so that light coming from the sky is refracted so that it is projected horizontally. This creates images of the sky where the ship should be, but the brain perceives it as water, and so the ship is undetected by visual systems.

The ship also uses an advanced SONAR system called APDS that allows for maximum pinging ability while maintaining a stealthy and unknown existence.

When pinging for enemy ships the APDS system utilizes two important features. The first is that it uses an ultra high frequency ping that is too high for humans to hear. The second is that in conjunction with the VCCS link it pings the enemy ships and then can triangulate it by having other nearby ships measure the ping and how it bounced. If the enemy is utilizing sonar-deceiving technology so that it redirects the ping in another direction, an allied VCCS will pick it up and measure it. In order to deceive the enemy sonar the APDS system includes designing the ship with geometry that redirects the ping and sonar absorbing materials (SAMs) that capture the ping and do not return it. Also the APDS system can also send back a ping that shows the ship in another place, as something other than a ship, or as many ships.

In order to run all of the ships systems, a degree of heat is created and, especially around the engines, causes a greater signature. While anti-shipping tactics tend not to rely on the use of the ship's heat as anti-aircraft often do, DMI installed the Liqui-Gel Coolant System for precautionary reasons.

A synthetic gel is pasted around the entire interior of the ship's structure as well as the powerplants and propellant system. The gel, which has been cooled to subzero temperatures when the engine is not pumping at full capacity, maintains its temperature to within a degree for nearly thirty-two hours (if not affected except by the natural environment). However, when in contact with an atmosphere that has been severely or even minorly heated like certain parts of the ship and its systems, its temperature rises much quicker depending on the level of heat, absorbing it into the gel. In order to allow the ship to operate without overcoming the gel's maximum capacity, it is aided by a water coolant system. Purified water is held in a tank inside the body of the ship and is pumped through tiny pipes that follow wherever the gel is located. Thus the heat is transferred from the ship to the gel to the water. When the water begins heating, it is transferred to an output system, which dumps it beneath the boat's rear into the water. Meanwhile, at the front of the ship, a special intake has been routed from the waterline to the main system, continually brining in colder water that is then pumped through the ship.

All important systems onboard the ship are encased or outfitted with the EMP DAD to defeat a directed EMP attack. Whether this would be able to protect it or to what degree from a massive EMP charge such as that resulting from a nuclear detonation is not clear.

As the acronym implies (DAD) it watches over your military and protects them from harmful EMPs. A highly advanced early warning system detects activating EMPs. It then shuts down all electronic systems and temporarily disconnects the power sources (In aircraft, in conjunction with the AMMiD system it thrusts the plane at an upward direction to maintain momentum when the power is cut – this part of the system can be turned off). The EMP DAD system also activates very small electro-magnets on the outside of the vehicle that create an electro-magnetic shield to oppose the EMP. The e-m shield has a 1-100,000 chance of being penetrated, although this is not a major issue as the EMP causes no harm because the electronics have been shut down.

Active Defense
To defend against incoming missiles or projectiles, the vessel uses multiple defense systems in conjunction with radar and maneuvering abilities. The first defense against incoming missiles is the joint CIWS and AMM system, which in conjunction with one another provide a strong shield against hostile projectiles. The CIWS tracks and locks onto fast moving missiles and attempts to fire twenty millimeter rounds at them, disabling their warhead or knocking them out of their path. The Firestorm Missile Launcher has the ability to fire AMMS - an anti-missile missile system -, which effectively targets incoming missiles and destroys them by targeting them by exploding them with another missile. The next system used on board is less commonly used on naval vessels but has proven useful in many situations – the DAC system.

The DAC system employs small aerial decoys that protect from incoming missiles. They can be let out of the back of an airplane, shot into the air by a projectile system, or dropped to earth from airplanes. They are most commonly used in DMI aircraft to defend against enemy fighters and incoming missiles, but are also being installed in 'cannons' onboard naval vessels. They are designed with geometry that allows them to maintain speed and height while flying through the air and maintaining a very large radar cross section. The radar cross section of the DAC is nearly the same as the average size fighter and therefore looks like a fighter on radar. The DAC also transmits a radar-jamming signal, more specifically a noise jamming signal, so that the fighter and missile can retrieve any more information. The final mechanism of the DAC is to employ a IR signature equivalent to that of a fighter or ship so it is impossible to distinguish between the two – hopefully causing the incoming missile to explode on the decoy and not the ship.

The vessel also uses ten specially located AMCCG gun systems to hopefully be among the last resort in missile defense.

The Anti-Missile Charged Centrifuge Gun is a missile defense system that can be incorporated into vehicles, aircraft, fixed structures, and naval vessels. Multiple AMCCGs are mounted onto a vessel (generally 4 in total) so that they can cover all angles of threat - with each one covering roughly 25% of the ship. The AMCCG maintains a moving projectile inside the centrifuge so that upon firing it can reach immense speeds (over 7500 ft/sec) and hit the missile before it reaches its target. The actual projectile it fires is a 10-inch cylinder with a 1-inch diameter, with the tip being the top three inches. The tip is sharpened to extreme deadliness so that it can penetrate the missiles armor: then the tip is hollowed out and packed with explosives that will detonate on impact. The entire cylinder is immersed in an electro-magnetic charge while in the centrifuge and carries it to the missile - attempting to destroy the missiles computer system. It is controlled by the VCCS system which locks onto the missile and when in range fires the AMCCG.

One of the newest systems is the High Energy Liquid Laser Missile Defense system (Dr. Hell). The laser defense system is an advanced technology that can be used in both defense of the ship as well as in an attempt to down an enemy aircraft. This ship has been installed with six separate devices all around its body and in particularly sensitive areas like the bridge. The spread of lasers has been determined to be able to cover all angles that a missile could enter from, and has even been shown to be able to target torpedoes in the water with enough advanced warning and targeting data. They are all encased in metal boxes that allow for maximum rotation from side-to-side and one hundred eight degree adjustment from front-to-back.

Dr. Hell, named as such for its devastating power and as an acronym "High Energy Liquid Laser Missile Defense" (the last two being M.D. also stand for Doctor), is one of the newest technologies in the Dominion arsenal. After extensive research and trillions of dollars put into the operation, the system was produced in a compact manner that still delivered a 300-kilowatt beam. The device is contained in a five-by-two-by-one-foot unit, which can be manipulated so that the laser can move one hundred fifty degrees (front to back). The deuterium hydrogen laser is powered by an advanced, large hydrogen fuel cell combined with solar panels on the surface of whatever it is emplaced on.

When deuterium is used instead of hydrogen, the deuterium fluoride, lases at the wavelength of about 3.8 µm. This makes the deuterium fluoride laser usable for terrestrial operations. The deuterium fluoride laser constructionally resembles a rocket engine. In the combustion chamber, ethylene is burned in nitrogen trifluoride. This reaction produces free excited fluorine radicals. Just after the nozzle, the mixture of helium and hydrogen or deuterium gas is injected to the exhaust stream; the hydrogen or deuterium reacts with the fluorine radicals, producing excited molecules of deuterium or hydrogen fluoride. The excited molecules then undergo stimulated emission in the optical resonator region of the laser.

The laser, as previously stated, is primarily a missile defense system. The high-energy beam, targeted by an advanced onboard computer and capable of being connected to a vehicle's main computer, locks on and reaches its target at incredible speeds faster than anything it is targeting. When the laser beam makes contact with its target, their are different possible results: it could possibly disintegrate the armor, heat shield, or adhesive measures effectively ripping the missile apart at such high speeds; it could cause the warhead to prematurely detonate, destroying the missile in midair; it could destroy the onboard computer and guidance system sending the missile off-track; it could, through quite rarely, if it manages to contact the engine and/or fuel, cause it to explode. However, the laser can also be used on other targets with varying results, the best being another aircraft due to the nature of its design and location.

The vessel also employs two major torpedo defense systems to protect it against enemy submarines that are hunting it. The first is a normal decoy system that is launched into the water and distracts the torpedo with sounds and heat signatures. The second is a series of six strategically placed Guardian Turrets that have the possibility have destroying a torpedo before it ever reaches the ship.

These turrets are designed for naval vessels, specifically submarines. Utilizing supercavitation technology, these turrets fires small bullets at high speed at specified targets. This is useful for defense against incoming torpedoes, removing sonar buoys, destroying mines, and various other tasks.

Systems
So how are all these systems run without flaw? Along with the advanced command deck installed into the ship where the crew can easily control all the necessary abilities, it also uses two very advanced systems that can control the ship in everyway. The SBRR system makes it easy to navigate the ship and watch all the incoming threats, while the VCCS system controls everything that happens.

The SBRR system is a satellite based reality reproduction system. Numerous screens are placed in the command deck of the ship that digitally reproduce the surroundings from thousands of mini cameras located all over the vessel. The satellite system also allows for the captain to look ahead around major obstacles and locate a target that is not in the direct line of site. The onboard computer warns about hostile targets in the air and on the ground and at sea. It also comes with a missile early warning alert system that can show real time action of the incoming missile. The SBRR system is also connected to a helmet and fold down visor. The visor is made of two halves – one for each eye – and can be lowered and raised individually. The user can choose between normal view, 180 view, or advanced view: the normal view is what he would see on the screens, the 180 view gives him a view of behind the ship looking back, and the advanced view allows to see ahead and around obstacles to see what lays in store. An onboard voice system allows the captain to control the entire system with voice commands – although it is mostly used for weapon targeting and firing.

A 512-bit encryption allows secure transmission of all signals and messages. An advanced navigation system, which is linked to all allied bases and satellites and radar systems, allows for the system to always know where it is on the battlefield as well as the enemy. Military linking and group co-ordination allow for advanced tactical strategy and the VCCS weapon system. The highly advanced onboard weapon system that along with the navigation and linking components, targets the enemies on the battlefield and destroys them. The VCCS communicates with the unknown combatant and depending on the resulting signal it distinguishes friend from foe. If the unknown combatant also has a VCCS then the communication time is almost instant. After finding out that the combatant is a foe, the VCCS chooses the best onboard weaponry to use against the enemy and then targets and fires. The targeting and firing system can be manually turned off so that it merely alerts the crew of the enemy. The VCCS can control the ship in everyway and can be set to auto-control or manual.

Armor
The entire ship is encased in four hundred-millimeter Triad Armour that protects it against anything imaginable.

This armor is composed of three layers. The first is a self-healing layer, composed of a glue-like substance between two thin layers. When the substance comes into contact with air it begins to congeal and harden, forming a cover over the hole. This only works on smaller holes - missile damage is impossible to heal. The second layer is a titanium-aluminum alloy to provide torsional stiffness and some protection from bullets. The third layer is a carbon-silicon nano-mesh that will seriously slow down any bullets that penetrate the first two layers, preventing them from doing damage to internal mechanics. The armor is roughly 10kg per square meter.

Armament
As is the nature with aircraft carriers, the majority of the ship's armament comes in the form of defensive, anti-missile and anti-aircraft weaponry, which leaves its aircraft compliment to be its attack force. Though larger carriers are often outfitted with a couple of offensive tools, the size and design of the Pulse Class restricted that do nothing beyond the regular Firestorm Missile Launchers that act dually.

The normal defensive armament begins with eight Phalanx Close-In Weapon Systems (CIWS) that are scattered around the deck of the ship and pepper enemy missiles with rapid-fire 20mm ammunition. Especially located around the bridge and tower, though also found in a couple other spots, are ten Anti-Missile Charged Centrifuge Guns (AMCCG) that fire a large piece of metal at high velocities against missiles. These have less of an ability to target a large barrage of missiles, but are one of the last lines of defense against a stray missile or a particularly deadly one aimed at the command and control are of the ship. Six High Energy Laser systems, nicknamed Dr. Hell, have been installed around the ship's perimeter as well as on the bridge, to target enemy missiles, torpedoes, and aircraft that stray to close. These powerful lasers can easily hit fast moving aerial targets with the appropriate data, and are a high-tech tool against any threat. Finally, six Firestorm Missile Launchers, a piece of equipment that can act both defensively and offensively with anti-air, ground attack, and anti-shipping missiles, have been installed into retractable compartments on the deck's surface, allowing them to pop out when needed to defend the ship or launch an attack.

Located on the sides of the ship in the submerged portion are six Guardian Turrets that fire high-speed bullets through the water at incoming torpedoes. Technically they could target submarines that were close enough (which should rarely happen as this ship is used generally with a fleet), but for that job the carrier has eight torpedo "drops" located on the under side of the ship. The drops, situated in four pairs of two, are situated out of the water and are incapable of providing any initial thrust, thus all speed must be created and maintained by the torpedo itself. In the optimal situation, with low visibility the vessel will be able to get within range that the lower amount of speed (at least initially) should not affect the inevitable outcome.

Of course, however, the main armament remains the powerful aircraft compliment.

Design
Though controversial within the Dominion for its very construction and design, the LC-3 Invader is the newest amphibious assault ship of the fleet, capable of launching attacks and landing parties by air and sea. It is equipped with the newest and most advanced technologies in the world. With six beach landing craft and a variety of transport helicopters at its disposal, the Invader can land its marine detachment of one thousand soldiers in a single sortie.

The ship is powered by the most advanced technology in the form of two Rickover TLS300 nuclear reactors. The nuclear reactors give the vessel the ability to reach speeds of nearly thirty-five knots and assure the crew that they will always have the necessary electricity. The engines and reactors are encased in advanced structures that have been built with sound dampening and capturing material so that the ship can run silently; it is also saturated with liqui-gel to keep the surrounding area from becoming too heated. Many unused areas on the surface of the ship also have solar panels that capture the sun's rays and convert them into stored energy for any possible situation - thus even if the nuclear reactors are all damaged to the point of inoperation and the backup battery runs out of power (minimum eight hours), the solar panels, even in partially cloud conditions, will supply emergency power. The nuclear reactor is assisted in the propulsion of the ship by the PIPD system that allows for little to no disturbance of the water that is traversed.

This is a 'silent' propulsion drive. It works by having tubes running the length of the naval vessel the EMDS is on. At the front an electrified grid ionises the water molecules, so that the percentage of ions to molecules is increased to roughly half and half. The ions are then split into two different tubes, one for the positive ions and the other for negative ions. These ions are then accelerated by charged pads running the length of the tubes. As the ions pass by they are repelled by the plates in turn, increasing the velocity of the ions. At the rear of the drive, the ions are allowed to re-combine, removing any trace of passage.

Passive Defense
The ship also uses the latest technology in its stealth design to protect it from enemies' eyes. Along with the design of the ship being geometrically constructed to disperse radar to the best of its ability (though obviously still seeable on radar, just to a smaller degree), the vessel also employs multiple advanced systems. The first of which is a joint HES and Mist Refraction System, which is designed to prevent the ship from being seen by the human eye.

The HES system can be activated to create "stealth" to the human eye. The HES system digitally reproduces the surrounding environment onto tiny LCD screens located on the entire surface of the ship. If working correctly the HES system can accurately reproduce its surroundings creating an active camouflage to the human eye. However the system is not perfect and can be affected by intensive lights and angels, which cause abnormalities in the reproduced image and making the ship easier to see.

The Mist Refraction System uses high-frequency generators on the side of the ship. These excite the molecules in the air so that light coming from the sky is refracted so that it is projected horizontally. This creates images of the sky where the ship should be, but the brain perceives it as water, and so the ship is undetected by visual systems.

The ship also uses an advanced SONAR system called APDS that allows for maximum pinging ability while maintaining a stealthy and unknown existence.

When pinging for enemy ships the APDS system utilizes two important features. The first is that it uses an ultra high frequency ping that is too high for humans to hear. The second is that in conjunction with the VCCS link it pings the enemy ships and then can triangulate it by having other nearby ships measure the ping and how it bounced. If the enemy is utilizing sonar-deceiving technology so that it redirects the ping in another direction, an allied VCCS will pick it up and measure it. In order to deceive the enemy sonar the APDS system includes designing the ship with geometry that redirects the ping and sonar absorbing materials (SAMs) that capture the ping and do not return it. Also the APDS system can also send back a ping that shows the ship in another place, as something other than a ship, or as many ships.

In order to run all of the ships systems, a degree of heat is created and, especially around the engines, causes a greater signature. While anti-shipping tactics tend not to rely on the use of the ship's heat as anti-aircraft often do, DMI installed the Liqui-Gel Coolant System for precautionary reasons.

A synthetic gel is pasted around the entire interior of the ship's structure as well as the powerplants and propellant system. The gel, which has been cooled to subzero temperatures when the engine is not pumping at full capacity, maintains its temperature to within a degree for nearly thirty-two hours (if not affected except by the natural environment). However, when in contact with an atmosphere that has been severely or even minorly heated like certain parts of the ship and its systems, its temperature rises much quicker depending on the level of heat, absorbing it into the gel. In order to allow the ship to operate without overcoming the gel's maximum capacity, it is aided by a water coolant system. Purified water is held in a tank inside the body of the ship and is pumped through tiny pipes that follow wherever the gel is located. Thus the heat is transferred from the ship to the gel to the water. When the water begins heating, it is transferred to an output system, which dumps it beneath the boat's rear into the water. Meanwhile, at the front of the ship, a special intake has been routed from the waterline to the main system, continually brining in colder water that is then pumped through the ship.

All important systems onboard the ship are encased or outfitted with the EMP DAD to defeat a directed EMP attack. Whether this would be able to protect it or to what degree from a massive EMP charge such as that resulting from a nuclear detonation is not clear.

As the acronym implies (DAD) it watches over your military and protects them from harmful EMPs. A highly advanced early warning system detects activating EMPs. It then shuts down all electronic systems and temporarily disconnects the power sources (In aircraft, in conjunction with the AMMiD system it thrusts the plane at an upward direction to maintain momentum when the power is cut – this part of the system can be turned off). The EMP DAD system also activates very small electro-magnets on the outside of the vehicle that create an electro-magnetic shield to oppose the EMP. The e-m shield has a 1-100,000 chance of being penetrated, although this is not a major issue as the EMP causes no harm because the electronics have been shut down.

Active Defense
To defend against incoming missiles or projectiles, the vessel uses multiple defense systems in conjunction with radar and maneuvering abilities. The first defense against incoming missiles is the joint CIWS and AMM system, which in conjunction with one another provide a strong shield against hostile projectiles. The CIWS tracks and locks onto fast moving missiles and attempts to fire twenty millimeter rounds at them, disabling their warhead or knocking them out of their path. The Firestorm Missile Launcher has the ability to fire AMMS - an anti-missile missile system -, which effectively targets incoming missiles and destroys them by targeting them by exploding them with another missile. The next system used on board is less commonly used on naval vessels but has proven useful in many situations – the DAC system.

The DAC system employs small aerial decoys that protect from incoming missiles. They can be let out of the back of an airplane, shot into the air by a projectile system, or dropped to earth from airplanes. They are most commonly used in DMI aircraft to defend against enemy fighters and incoming missiles, but are also being installed in 'cannons' onboard naval vessels. They are designed with geometry that allows them to maintain speed and height while flying through the air and maintaining a very large radar cross section. The radar cross section of the DAC is nearly the same as the average size fighter and therefore looks like a fighter on radar. The DAC also transmits a radar-jamming signal, more specifically a noise jamming signal, so that the fighter and missile can retrieve any more information. The final mechanism of the DAC is to employ a IR signature equivalent to that of a fighter or ship so it is impossible to distinguish between the two – hopefully causing the incoming missile to explode on the decoy and not the ship.

The vessel also uses six specially located AMCCG gun systems to hopefully be among the last resort in missile defense.

The Anti-Missile Charged Centrifuge Gun is a missile defense system that can be incorporated into vehicles, aircraft, fixed structures, and naval vessels. Multiple AMCCGs are mounted onto a vessel (generally 4 in total) so that they can cover all angles of threat - with each one covering roughly 25% of the ship. The AMCCG maintains a moving projectile inside the centrifuge so that upon firing it can reach immense speeds (over 7500 ft/sec) and hit the missile before it reaches its target. The actual projectile it fires is a 10-inch cylinder with a 1-inch diameter, with the tip being the top three inches. The tip is sharpened to extreme deadliness so that it can penetrate the missiles armor: then the tip is hollowed out and packed with explosives that will detonate on impact. The entire cylinder is immersed in an electro-magnetic charge while in the centrifuge and carries it to the missile - attempting to destroy the missiles computer system. It is controlled by the VCCS system which locks onto the missile and when in range fires the AMCCG.

One of the newest systems is the High Energy Liquid Laser Missile Defense system (Dr. Hell). The laser defense system is an advanced technology that can be used in both defense of the ship as well as in an attempt to down an enemy aircraft. This ship has been installed with eight separate devices all around its body and in particularly sensitive areas like the bridge. The spread of lasers has been determined to be able to cover all angles that a missile could enter from, and has even been shown to be able to target torpedoes in the water with enough advanced warning and targeting data. They are all encased in metal boxes that allow for maximum rotation from side-to-side and one hundred eight degree adjustment from front-to-back.

Dr. Hell, named as such for its devastating power and as an acronym "High Energy Liquid Laser Missile Defense" (the last two being M.D. also stand for Doctor), is one of the newest technologies in the Dominion arsenal. After extensive research and trillions of dollars put into the operation, the system was produced in a compact manner that still delivered a 300-kilowatt beam. The device is contained in a five-by-two-by-one-foot unit, which can be manipulated so that the laser can move one hundred fifty degrees (front to back). The deuterium hydrogen laser is powered by an advanced, large hydrogen fuel cell combined with solar panels on the surface of whatever it is emplaced on.

When deuterium is used instead of hydrogen, the deuterium fluoride, lases at the wavelength of about 3.8 µm. This makes the deuterium fluoride laser usable for terrestrial operations. The deuterium fluoride laser constructionally resembles a rocket engine. In the combustion chamber, ethylene is burned in nitrogen trifluoride. This reaction produces free excited fluorine radicals. Just after the nozzle, the mixture of helium and hydrogen or deuterium gas is injected to the exhaust stream; the hydrogen or deuterium reacts with the fluorine radicals, producing excited molecules of deuterium or hydrogen fluoride. The excited molecules then undergo stimulated emission in the optical resonator region of the laser.

The laser, as previously stated, is primarily a missile defense system. The high-energy beam, targeted by an advanced onboard computer and capable of being connected to a vehicle's main computer, locks on and reaches its target at incredible speeds faster than anything it is targeting. When the laser beam makes contact with its target, their are different possible results: it could possibly disintegrate the armor, heat shield, or adhesive measures effectively ripping the missile apart at such high speeds; it could cause the warhead to prematurely detonate, destroying the missile in midair; it could destroy the onboard computer and guidance system sending the missile off-track; it could, through quite rarely, if it manages to contact the engine and/or fuel, cause it to explode. However, the laser can also be used on other targets with varying results, the best being another aircraft due to the nature of its design and location.

The vessel also employs two major torpedo defense systems to protect it against enemy submarines that are hunting it. The first is a normal decoy system that is launched into the water and distracts the torpedo with sounds and heat signatures. The second is a series of eight strategically placed Guardian Turrets that have the possibility have destroying a torpedo before it ever reaches the ship.

These turrets are designed for naval vessels, specifically submarines. Utilizing supercavitation technology, these turrets fires small bullets at high speed at specified targets. This is useful for defense against incoming torpedoes, removing sonar buoys, destroying mines, and various other tasks.

Systems
So how are all these systems run without flaw? Along with the advanced command deck installed into the ship where the crew can easily control all the necessary abilities, it also uses two very advanced systems that can control the ship in everyway. The SBRR system makes it easy to navigate the ship and watch all the incoming threats, while the VCCS system controls everything that happens.

The SBRR system is a satellite based reality reproduction system. Numerous screens are placed in the command deck of the ship that digitally reproduce the surroundings from thousands of mini cameras located all over the vessel. The satellite system also allows for the captain to look ahead around major obstacles and locate a target that is not in the direct line of site. The onboard computer warns about hostile targets in the air and on the ground and at sea. It also comes with a missile early warning alert system that can show real time action of the incoming missile. The SBRR system is also connected to a helmet and fold down visor. The visor is made of two halves – one for each eye – and can be lowered and raised individually. The user can choose between normal view, 180 view, or advanced view: the normal view is what he would see on the screens, the 180 view gives him a view of behind the ship looking back, and the advanced view allows to see ahead and around obstacles to see what lays in store. An onboard voice system allows the captain to control the entire system with voice commands – although it is mostly used for weapon targeting and firing.

A 512-bit encryption allows secure transmission of all signals and messages. An advanced navigation system, which is linked to all allied bases and satellites and radar systems, allows for the system to always know where it is on the battlefield as well as the enemy. Military linking and group co-ordination allow for advanced tactical strategy and the VCCS weapon system. The highly advanced onboard weapon system that along with the navigation and linking components, targets the enemies on the battlefield and destroys them. The VCCS communicates with the unknown combatant and depending on the resulting signal it distinguishes friend from foe. If the unknown combatant also has a VCCS then the communication time is almost instant. After finding out that the combatant is a foe, the VCCS chooses the best onboard weaponry to use against the enemy and then targets and fires. The targeting and firing system can be manually turned off so that it merely alerts the crew of the enemy. The VCCS can control the ship in everyway and can be set to auto-control or manual.

Armor
The entire ship is encased in four hundred-millimeter Triad Armour that protects it against anything imaginable.

This armor is composed of three layers. The first is a self-healing layer, composed of a glue-like substance between two thin layers. When the substance comes into contact with air it begins to congeal and harden, forming a cover over the hole. This only works on smaller holes - missile damage is impossible to heal. Derelict Class Submarine Carrier

Design
The Derelict Class Submarine Carrier is the replacement to the aging and under-designed Poseidon Class. It has been outfitted with greater technologies for defense and a greater hull for aircraft storage. It is a mammoth of a submarine at a quarter kilometer in length in many tons of displacement, and thus is vulnerable to submarine attacks, so for the most part it should travel with a guard to protect it and ward of predator submarines. The Derelict is not a tool of invasion or mass warfare, but rather for surgical strikes close to the enemy shores, launching a fighter compliment that is capable of quickly wreaking great devastation upon the enemy’s emplacements.

The hull of the ship, except the pair of top mounted water-pulse thrusters, has been designed to be perfectly symmetrical. At the front is a large hatch that opens only upon surfacing for the quick launch of its fighter compliment before reclosing to secure minimal detection. Behind the hatch is the long, stretched-pentagonal shape of the hull, follow by a pair of rear fin-type sections of the ship. The rear and bottom of the submarine are where all of the systems and human facilities are housed while the majority of the top part of the pentagonal hull is used as the runways and storage area for the compliment of aircraft. Roughly twenty fighters can be housed on the runway itself and another twenty are held above them in carriage-type grips (quickly droppable to the runway for immediate takeoff).

Many unused areas on the surface of the ship also have solar panels that capture the sun's rays and convert them into stored energy for any possible situation whenever it surfaces - thus even if the nuclear reactors are all damaged to the point of inoperation and the backup battery runs out of power (minimum eight hours), the solar panels, even in partially cloud conditions, will supply emergency power. The nuclear reactors are assisted by the PIPD system that allows for little to no disturbance of the water that the ship traverses.

This is a 'silent' propulsion drive. It works by having tubes running the length of the naval vessel the EMDS is on. At the front an electrified grid ionises the water molecules, so that the percentage of ions to molecules is increased to roughly half and half. The ions are then split into two different tubes, one for the positive ions and the other for negative ions. These ions are then accelerated by charged pads running the length of the tubes. As the ions pass by they are repelled by the plates in turn, increasing the velocity of the ions. At the rear of the drive, the ions are allowed to re-combine, removing any trace of passage.

Passive Defense
The ship also uses the latest technology in its stealth design to protect it from enemies' eyes. Along with the design of the ship being geometrically constructed to disperse radar to the best of its ability (though obviously still seeable on radar, just to a smaller degree), the vessel also employs multiple advanced systems. The first of which is a joint HES and Mist Refraction System, which is designed to prevent the ship from being seen by the human eye.

The HES system can be activated to create "stealth" to the human eye. The HES system digitally reproduces the surrounding environment onto tiny LCD screens located on the entire surface of the ship. If working correctly the HES system can accurately reproduce its surroundings creating an active camouflage to the human eye. However the system is not perfect and can be affected by intensive lights and angels, which cause abnormalities in the reproduced image and making the ship easier to see.

The Mist Refraction System uses high-frequency generators on the side of the ship. These excite the molecules in the air so that light coming from the sky is refracted so that it is projected horizontally. This creates images of the sky where the ship should be, but the brain perceives it as water, and so the ship is undetected by visual systems.

The ship also uses an advanced SONAR system called APDS that allows for maximum pinging ability while maintaining a stealthy and unknown existence.

When pinging for enemy ships the APDS system utilizes two important features. The first is that it uses an ultra high frequency ping that is too high for humans to hear. The second is that in conjunction with the VCCS link it pings the enemy ships and then can triangulate it by having other nearby ships measure the ping and how it bounced. If the enemy is utilizing sonar-deceiving technology so that it redirects the ping in another direction, an allied VCCS will pick it up and measure it. In order to deceive the enemy sonar the APDS system includes designing the ship with geometry that redirects the ping and sonar absorbing materials (SAMs) that capture the ping and do not return it. Also the APDS system can also send back a ping that shows the ship in another place, as something other than a ship, or as many ships.

In order to run all of the ships systems, a degree of heat is created and, especially around the engines, causes a greater signature. While anti-shipping tactics tend not to rely on the use of the ship's heat as anti-aircraft often do, DMI installed the Liqui-Gel Coolant System for precautionary reasons.

A synthetic gel is pasted around the entire interior of the ship's structure as well as the powerplants and propellant system. The gel, which has been cooled to subzero temperatures when the engine is not pumping at full capacity, maintains its temperature to within a degree for nearly thirty-two hours (if not affected except by the natural environment). However, when in contact with an atmosphere that has been severely or even minorly heated like certain parts of the ship and its systems, its temperature rises much quicker depending on the level of heat, absorbing it into the gel. In order to allow the ship to operate without overcoming the gel's maximum capacity, it is aided by a water coolant system. Purified water is held in a tank inside the body of the ship and is pumped through tiny pipes that follow wherever the gel is located. Thus the heat is transferred from the ship to the gel to the water. When the water begins heating, it is transferred to an output system, which dumps it beneath the boat's rear into the water. Meanwhile, at the front of the ship, a special intake has been routed from the waterline to the main system, continually brining in colder water that is then pumped through the ship.

All important systems onboard the ship are encased or outfitted with the EMP DAD to defeat a directed EMP attack. Whether this would be able to protect it or to what degree from a massive EMP charge such as that resulting from a nuclear detonation is not clear.

As the acronym implies (DAD) it watches over your military and protects them from harmful EMPs. A highly advanced early warning system detects activating EMPs. It then shuts down all electronic systems and temporarily disconnects the power sources (In aircraft, in conjunction with the AMMiD system it thrusts the plane at an upward direction to maintain momentum when the power is cut – this part of the system can be turned off). The EMP DAD system also activates very small electro-magnets on the outside of the vehicle that create an electro-magnetic shield to oppose the EMP. The e-m shield has a 1-100,000 chance of being penetrated, although this is not a major issue as the EMP causes no harm because the electronics have been shut down.

Active Defense
To defend against incoming missiles or projectiles, the vessel uses multiple defense systems in conjunction with radar and maneuvering abilities. The first defense against incoming missiles is the AMM system, which in conjunction with one another provide a strong shield against hostile projectiles. The Firestorm Missile Launcher has the ability to fire AMMS - an anti-missile missile system -, which effectively targets incoming missiles and destroys them by targeting them by exploding them with another missile. The next system used on board is less commonly used on naval vessels but has proven useful in many situations – the DAC system.

The DAC system employs small aerial decoys that protect from incoming missiles. They can be let out of the back of an airplane, shot into the air by a projectile system, or dropped to earth from airplanes. They are most commonly used in DMI aircraft to defend against enemy fighters and incoming missiles, but are also being installed in 'cannons' onboard naval vessels. They are designed with geometry that allows them to maintain speed and height while flying through the air and maintaining a very large radar cross section. The radar cross section of the DAC is nearly the same as the average size fighter and therefore looks like a fighter on radar. The DAC also transmits a radar-jamming signal, more specifically a noise jamming signal, so that the fighter and missile can retrieve any more information. The final mechanism of the DAC is to employ a IR signature equivalent to that of a fighter or ship so it is impossible to distinguish between the two – hopefully causing the incoming missile to explode on the decoy and not the ship.

One of the newest systems is the High Energy Liquid Laser Missile Defense system (Dr. Hell). The laser defense system is an advanced technology that can be used in both defense of the ship as well as in an attempt to down an enemy aircraft. This ship has been installed with eight separate devices all around its body and in particularly sensitive areas like the bridge. The spread of lasers has been determined to be able to cover all angles that a missile could enter from, and has even been shown to be able to target torpedoes in the water with enough advanced warning and targeting data. They are all encased in metal boxes that allow for maximum rotation from side-to-side and one hundred eight degree adjustment from front-to-back.

Dr. Hell, named as such for its devastating power and as an acronym "High Energy Liquid Laser Missile Defense" (the last two being M.D. also stand for Doctor), is one of the newest technologies in the Dominion arsenal. After extensive research and trillions of dollars put into the operation, the system was produced in a compact manner that still delivered a 300-kilowatt beam. The device is contained in a five-by-two-by-one-foot unit, which can be manipulated so that the laser can move one hundred fifty degrees (front to back). The deuterium hydrogen laser is powered by an advanced, large hydrogen fuel cell combined with solar panels on the surface of whatever it is emplaced on.

When deuterium is used instead of hydrogen, the deuterium fluoride, lases at the wavelength of about 3.8 µm. This makes the deuterium fluoride laser usable for terrestrial operations. The deuterium fluoride laser constructionally resembles a rocket engine. In the combustion chamber, ethylene is burned in nitrogen trifluoride. This reaction produces free excited fluorine radicals. Just after the nozzle, the mixture of helium and hydrogen or deuterium gas is injected to the exhaust stream; the hydrogen or deuterium reacts with the fluorine radicals, producing excited molecules of deuterium or hydrogen fluoride. The excited molecules then undergo stimulated emission in the optical resonator region of the laser.

The laser, as previously stated, is primarily a missile defense system. The high-energy beam, targeted by an advanced onboard computer and capable of being connected to a vehicle's main computer, locks on and reaches its target at incredible speeds faster than anything it is targeting. When the laser beam makes contact with its target, their are different possible results: it could possibly disintegrate the armor, heat shield, or adhesive measures effectively ripping the missile apart at such high speeds; it could cause the warhead to prematurely detonate, destroying the missile in midair; it could destroy the onboard computer and guidance system sending the missile off-track; it could, through quite rarely, if it manages to contact the engine and/or fuel, cause it to explode. However, the laser can also be used on other targets with varying results, the best being another aircraft due to the nature of its design and location.

The vessel also employs two major torpedo defense systems to protect it against enemy submarines that are hunting it. The first is a normal decoy system that is launched into the water and distracts the torpedo with sounds and heat signatures. The second is a series of fifteen strategically placed Guardian Turrets that have the possibility have destroying a torpedo before it ever reaches the ship.

These turrets are designed for naval vessels, specifically submarines. Utilizing supercavitation technology, these turrets fires small bullets at high speed at specified targets. This is useful for defense against incoming torpedoes, removing sonar buoys, destroying mines, and various other tasks.

Systems
So how are all these systems run without flaw? Along with the advanced command deck installed into the ship where the crew can easily control all the necessary abilities, it also uses two very advanced systems that can control the ship in everyway. The SBRR system makes it easy to navigate the ship and watch all the incoming threats, while the VCCS system controls everything that happens.

The SBRR system is a satellite based reality reproduction system. Numerous screens are placed in the command deck of the ship that digitally reproduce the surroundings from thousands of mini cameras located all over the vessel. The satellite system also allows for the captain to look ahead around major obstacles and locate a target that is not in the direct line of site. The onboard computer warns about hostile targets in the air and on the ground and at sea. It also comes with a missile early warning alert system that can show real time action of the incoming missile. The SBRR system is also connected to a helmet and fold down visor. The visor is made of two halves – one for each eye – and can be lowered and raised individually. The user can choose between normal view, 180 view, or advanced view: the normal view is what he would see on the screens, the 180 view gives him a view of behind the ship looking back, and the advanced view allows to see ahead and around obstacles to see what lays in store. An onboard voice system allows the captain to control the entire system with voice commands – although it is mostly used for weapon targeting and firing.

A 512-bit encryption allows secure transmission of all signals and messages. An advanced navigation system, which is linked to all allied bases and satellites and radar systems, allows for the system to always know where it is on the battlefield as well as the enemy. Military linking and group co-ordination allow for advanced tactical strategy and the VCCS weapon system. The highly advanced onboard weapon system that along with the navigation and linking components, targets the enemies on the battlefield and destroys them. The VCCS communicates with the unknown combatant and depending on the resulting signal it distinguishes friend from foe. If the unknown combatant also has a VCCS then the communication time is almost instant. After finding out that the combatant is a foe, the VCCS chooses the best onboard weaponry to use against the enemy and then targets and fires. The targeting and firing system can be manually turned off so that it merely alerts the crew of the enemy. The VCCS can control the ship in everyway and can be set to auto-control or manual.

Armor
The entire ship is encased in five hundred-millimeter Triad Armour that protects it against anything imaginable.

This armor is composed of three layers. The first is a self-healing layer, composed of a glue-like substance between two thin layers. When the substance comes into contact with air it begins to congeal and harden, forming a cover over the hole. This only works on smaller holes - missile damage is impossible to heal. The second layer is a titanium-aluminum alloy to provide torsional stiffness and some protection from bullets. The third layer is a carbon-silicon nano-mesh that will seriously slow down any bullets that penetrate the first two layers, preventing them from doing damage to internal mechanics. The armor is roughly 10kg per square meter.

Armament
As is the nature with aircraft carriers, the majority of the ship's armament comes in the form of defensive, anti-missile and anti-aircraft weaponry, which leaves its aircraft compliment to be its attack force. With the design restrictions of a stealthy submarine carrier, even defensive weaponry was kept to a minimum. However, the ship should not see much direct combat as it is supposed to be used in quick strikes before pulling out and disappearing into the vastness of the ocean.

Eight High Energy Laser systems, nicknamed Dr. Hell, have been installed around the ship's perimeter as well as on the bridge, to target enemy missiles, torpedoes, and aircraft that stray to close. These powerful lasers can easily hit fast moving aerial targets with the appropriate data, and are a high-tech tool against any threat. Four Firestorm Missile Launchers, a piece of equipment that can act both defensively and offensively with anti-air, ground attack, and anti-shipping missiles, have been installed into retractable compartments on the deck's surface, allowing them to pop out when needed to defend the ship or launch an attack.

Because of the delicate nature and value of the ship, it has been outfitted with fifteen Guardian Turrets that fire high-speed bullets through the water at incoming torpedoes. Technically they could target submarines that were close enough (which should rarely happen as this ship is used generally with a fleet), but for that job the carrier has four torpedo tubes located on the front-facing aft section of the ship.

First, you have to check an economy calculator such as nsdossier (http://nsdossier.texasregion.net/main.aspx) and check your defense budget. You can spend your entire defense budget once per day, but you can't go over the amount given or spend it more than once per day. There is no "wire money" button, you just say in your post that the money is wired. You have to role-play wiring the money since the game doesn't have a built-in function for that.
