Oh, and although I do agree Granate that I shall NOT tolerate any more flaming, from anyone here, I'm going to look @ Eralineta's stuff. He says that he needs Taiwan b/c of all the western tech; but I want to look at the specifics of why so that maybe, just maybe, I can illustrate to him that RL tech on this world is completely open and he doesn't absolutely need to take things that seriously.
If it's just the PRC using Taiwanese weapons and stuff, that can be done just by "willing it so" in the factbook :p; although if that's too easy or 'godmoddish' for him I recommended using an 'agreed timeline' between him and Courbonne where Chinese reunification fails somehow due to Japanese interference, with the obvious requirement and tension-reducing move that he talk to Courbonne about such a deal first. I'm thinking along the lines of patriotic Taiwanese Chinese pilots/sailors/soldiers defecting back to the mainland once the Japanese assumed control (however they did that in any 'agreed timeline', probably one where they get nukes and then use those to threaten retaliation on China or Taiwan if either resist the takeover too hard I'd imagine...), thus taking their l33t goodies with them to the PRC.

Hey WagDog; could you give me a brief list of costal defences and basic border protocols for your nation; I'm planning on bringing a freighter to international waters just ouside your national waters then taveling by mini sub to where we will insert into your country and meet up with an AIA operative who purchased weapons from your blackmarket so a list of things avalable and expected reistance would be handy to make it realistic?

I don't really want Morocco to fall into Futuris hands as it's so close to Spain - I gave up on the last one to be kind to him and would probably overlook others and leave them for Africa to fight over - it's just Morocco really, which is why I've not offer Morocco total independence in order to protect it.

That's what I'm trying to tell him.;) But when he gets back from exams, I'd like to see his factbook anyway so I know what revisions to suggest. He seems to have put quite some off-game effort into this, and I want to make a good faith effort on my part so he doesn't feel ganged upon or used; and to make sure my suggestion is made within a context comprehensible to him. Otherwise, he might just storm off calling us a "Godmodders' Earth" or such. I'd rather we not have to deal with that unless we have to...

You're lucky, our border defenses are much more 'normal' on this Earth than they are in my NS incarnation (how does nuclear-powered destroyers serving as "cutters" beside Coast Guard SSNs and batteries of Wolf Coastal Guns, and a Guard every bit as trained and mechanized as the Army sound?:p None of those on ESS, for sure...). You'd probably run into at least one of my indicated PBs, but they'd probably do a moderate inspection which you could RP foiling.
As for resistance in-country, the Red Guard is a light-motorized or straight-leg force for local defense and law-enforcement, organized into independent companies on a town/district basis within the framework of branch-divisions under a single "Red Guard Corps" per state, most of these being really a glorified "light infantry brigade by any other name." They are reasonably-trained, although the lower ranks are draftees serving out their second year of obligation in the Guard before electing to either continue therein as NCOs, muster out into the inactive reserves, or to join the Army proper for more training after reverting to Private or Senior Private/PFC. The rest depends on how you RP getting into the Solomons/Tails and into my capital, since we really don't go Soviet-style within our country so you'd have to be fairly obvious to raise the alarm; though once you did it would be "mission failed" unless you wanted the team to die since you'd raise the ultimate militia hornet's nest upon you if detected.

If no one is responding to you wanting someone to RP the NPC nation - shout louder! Ask the mods or something. As Wagdog and several other people have said - RP > un RPed. You were gone, yes, and you didn't have time to RP at that point. And this is the part that you can't control, and life sucks - being more active (not saying it's your fault - again, life sucks) is generally better because you can respond to people making claims about you, and can do stuff in IC and OOC terms. In this case, you wanted to RP some sort of takeover of Taiwan from China - but then, you had to leave, correct? At that point, the GEACPS said Taiwan was his, and so forth, blah blah blah, and it was his. I can see how it seemed a little unfair - but if you really want Taiwan, just invade it, you know? If you don't use nukes, we won't either.

Of course :) on NS our nation has undersea torps and ASM batteries, nuclear "mighty Fist" mines; huge mine fields; DMG built airdefence and costal batteries; and macross turrets but none of that on ESS :)

We're looking for the most stealthy way of getting it done like I said maybe a undersea door for the Freighter so the mini-sub can enter and leave via underwater. the team would probably be 6-8 at most. ASAS (our most highly trained regiment so much so that per the Stormtrooper principle each is woth 30 men). we might not even take her just her DNA would probably do like a blood sample or something we can get Evlen DNA from for...experiementation purposes. so if you have her blood somewhere it might be easier, more realistic and less tracable than actually kidnapping a government offical.

I've finally mobilized in Middle East and Africa. I still have a few more mobilization orders to go, but since this is really my first time, can anybody lend me a hand on mobilization numbers for an invasion?

No. That would mean it's roughly 8 dollars. You're looking at something more like 5000 and upwards.

Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Senegal, Gambia and Mauretania are also available, but those have less to offer than the 'stans unless you're dead-set on playing an African nation. Your call...

lol....I used to live in Iowa. There was an approximate chance of getting a tornado warning or touchdown of about 4/7 every night during the spring and summer. Luckily, the nearest tornado that ever passed by our house was 200 meters away. We were at one point driving by it (not very near, mind you....but near enough to immobilize my body completely) until it veered away, and we veered away. It destroyed my church....:( and it happened on Holy Thursday of last year. Scary. On the 13th.

Futuris and Granate are buying stuff costing tens of billions of dollars, and sure, I support African countries economic growth - but surely that’s a hefty amount you’re spending so freely, even if your economies go into the hundreds of billions?

Um....considering I have a several trillion dollar economy and I spend a lot on defense? I can afford it. Remember - quantity of countries is a good thing. At least in more "big empire" style Earths.

Actually, Russian is a Slavic language, so their accents would be more akin to those of the Balkans. Your accents, German, is very close to my Prime Minister's Afikaans Accent.

(No, my last name is Polish, not 25% Polish) My grandparents weren't Polish, though, Mathew Bieniek (yes, one "t"), my great-grandfather, came over as a child in 1904 or 1906 as did Sophia Dudzinski (my great-grandmother). They lived on Manhattan and in Queens.
