Taiwan is a part of China. The Republic of China. Which claims not only Taiwan, but all of mainland China and Mongolia. This is a very different country from the People's Republic of China. Which is, I believe, you (in-game). They claim Taiwan, but do not administer it. Because the RoC is currently in control of it IRL. You can claim Taiwan all you want. That's fine. But in ESS, GEACPS is in de facto control of it, because he got it before you did. Fin.

Oh, and Taiwan wasn't historically a part of any Chinese government until the 1800's. (EDIT: And they lost it to Japan for about 60 years or so, until the end of WW2.) There's not exactly a long history, there.

I am on the board of student government and I'm pulling down a job. That's why when i said I was on break, I meant it. Nuking isn't "settling it like men", though. Settling it like men is lowering your shoulder and trucking through conventional, slug-it, grind-it means.

The point is, if China wants Taiwan that badly, he can invade it. And the whole argument is settled once and for all.

I quoted and approved your claim before you edited in Japan, which then ended up for Courbonne shortly thereafter. And I saw no mention of Taiwan in your original claim, which has been Courbonne's for too long now (IIRC some embassies are there...). Again, I ruled fairly AFAIK, and you may quote otherwise but the deal has been done and RPed; and you'll need to fight if you want it changed by now.
You might also want to keep the "as necessary" in mind then.:rolleyes: Most of China's nukes are retaliatory-strike-only, although you could switch the older stuff out for newer if you accepted an (even) smaller arsenal. I would just like to point out that America DOES actually have the power to take out incoming missiles. They have numerous anti-ballistic missiles. Plus, when Oka Nieba is online, it is able to use some of its countermeasures to kill a few of the ICBMs before they hit the NAR.

Easy as an edit, and more fun too.;) See my factbook for an example of a full-on substitution using Czechalrussian stuff in place of the RL US/British/French stuff my islands use.

Stop this now. Do you even realize what the purpose of China is if its to go to war? Its EMP countermeasures on Taiwan (through nuclear) and its been a mainstay of their tactical nukes (very very small, but kinda like Starfish) that does not have much radiological fall out. China would do the size of a test nuke if they were going to have to take Taiwan down with force, the EMP will let them win easily.

Any 'glassing' of a nation is already described as killing the entire northern hemisphere off or ruining the world. Seriously you guys need to realize the reality of nuclear weapons and how they are to be used and how they aren't.

It is, but unfortunately an error ocurred that has already infiltrated into RP and now Taiwan ended up in Japanese hands as opposed to yours. I TGed you so you didn't lose the mainland as well, since that was about to go too and now you have the chance to exorcise this OOC problem ICly. It would make a solid war RP and I'd love to see it; so let's, OK?

I don't agree with you.

Taiwan is a key center for China. Its far more important then you realize. You think in terms of population. I think in terms of social, political and economical..

1. Taiwan is considered by the PRC to be PRC.
2. The plan for intergration exist RL. Also the plan for seperation exists RL (which is war)
3. The economy of Taiwan makes it a key part of China.
4. China's removal would spark war. Much more in the hands of Japan.
5. Taiwan is already a key part of my Factbook and history and going with my 'Unified China' proproganda and posters.

Taiwan is a key center for China. Its far more important then you realize. You think in terms of population. I think in terms of social, political and economical..

1. Taiwan is considered by the PRC to be PRC.
2. The plan for intergration exist RL. Also the plan for seperation exists RL (which is war)
3. The economy of Taiwan makes it a key part of China.
4. China's removal would spark war. Much more in the hands of Japan.
5. Taiwan is already a key part of my Factbook and history and going with my 'Unified China' proproganda and posters.

1. "Considered" the key word there. It is not a de facto part of the PRC.
2."The plan" are the key words, it hasn't happened in RL, so it was up for grabs.
3. China receives no money from Taiwan's exports in RL.
4. "Taiwan" is what you mean, I'm sure. It is already removed from the PRC, it is the ROC. And go ahead, by all means, do what we've telling you this whole time, LET IT SPARK A WAR!

Pretty much us arguing with Era. He doesnt realize (or maybe he does and just doesnt care) that nobody is siding with him and he is just making enemies.

I'm not fighting over it now when I've already done China and everything to it to be with Taiwan included. A UNIFIED China. If China is not unified then all my work was for nothing and all my tech and things from that are not possible. I need Taiwan or else I cannot continue with China. That would be like North America losing the US. Its unfair and unheard of to do such things.

Please admit your mistake and give me back control. As you forgot that I controlled it. It seems easier to do and the right thing to do.
Sorry. But RP takes precendence over non-RP; IC over OOC. It's been roleplayed as part of Courbonne's claim, and I am sticking to my guns. I admit my mistake, sure; but to go back now would be to require retconning nearly every thread since the start of this Earth. For example of how RP has to trump OOC, I was originally going to substitute An-72s in place of my RL WC-130s on Guam; but when I posted deploying my peacekeeping force to Kazakhstan I accidentally used Il-76s instead, and by the time I noticed the error Animarnia had already accepted my offer. Hence, despite technically being an error, it was allowed to stand and put in my factbook since it was part of the IC record and key to the plot.
To try and reach a compromise here, what exactly about your tech is so specific in requiring Taiwan?:confused: We haven't covered exactly how Taiwan ended up in Japanese hands, so maybe you and Courbonne can come up with some 'agreed timeline' where reunification failed but China made off with some goodies and has dedicated itself to 'settling the score' ever since? I for one would love that RP and it should save all or most of your work but the posters. Again, specifics here will help more than repeating the same requests that I simply cannot grant.

Taiwan is a western backed nation, they have western tech. They also have good ties and great economic hold. For China to maintain the developement and full-scale utilization of my Metal Storm tech I have to keep Taiwan.
