I was interested in joining some time ago, but was away for a while, and now I'm back and saying hi.

Good enough answer for me. And right now is about the right time to join too. We're in between missions in here and there's another thread (or 4, we've got lots of ideas) on their ways. The character form is at the beginning of this thread so don't be afraid to post a character.

Eh, the problem is, my new job demands a lot of my time. You know that there are about 200 wildland fires raging in California right now? I work for the California Conservation Corps now, and I have to go to the Wildland Fire camps and assist in maintaining the camp and supplying the firefighters.

I don't fight the fires, mind you, I just help make sure the firefighters get their supplies in the morning. I won't be reasonably available until perhaps the end of August. And even though most camps offer free Wi-Fi, I'm working 15 hours a day (From 6AM to 10 PM) for 14 to 21 days in a row. Even if I had a Laptop, I'd be too tired to log on and post stuff.

Two things.

(spoiler alert, if you ever plan to read the book, cause I'm nice enough to warn you it's a spoiler, but not nice enough to not post it where you are too tempted to avoid it, ha) The virus absorbs the nuke's energy somehow, making it twice as big as earth, killing everything. Unless it's already mutated, in which case it just melts all of earth's plastic. Unless it mutated again, in which case it does absolutely nothing. Horrible book, really.
