Kreige slowly reaches into the fir and draws out the blade. the blade, unscathed by the fire is quickly sheathed. Kreiges hand how ever is not as lucky burnt and chared he quickly puts a black glove on it.

A figure in a woolen black trenchcoat waved cheerily to the snow shoveler outside the door, carrying several bags with brightly colored labels sprawled across their sides. Her scarf, striped with black, grey, and white shades, fluttered behind her in the chill wind.

The black knit-hat on her head was whipped off, and the white hair underneath swirled, matching the drifts on the side of the road. Dropping her things, she hurried after the uncouth object, and catching it in her fingers, stuffed it beneath her arm as she returned to pick up her things.

Noire offered the shoveler another grin, and hurried in the door, snowflakes melting from her eyelashes as she stepped into the warmth of the club's tavern.

Noire dropped her bag on the couch, and hurriedly snatched an extra shovel up from the hook on the wall. Slipping through the door and back outdoors, she pushed a mound of snow, fallen from the roof, back over off the sidewalk.

She shrugged, almost forcefully nonchalant. "A friend of mine was having some problems, and sent for me to come help her out. I did, and it ended up taking a while. But it's over with now."

Chuckling a little, Noire added, "We had a bit of a falling out recently, so I won't be visiting again. I think I'm back here for what might be good."

The shovel scraped metallically against the cement of the sidewalk, and slow hills were growing on either side of her black boots, speckled with snow, salt, and everything that typically would cling to leather in winter. "And how've things been with yourself?"

"I don't mind helping, when work doesn't keep me away," she shrugged. "Whatever works, especially with this place. There's a lot of memories here; it should be kept up. Thriving would be nice too," she chuckled.

Noire frowned slightly. "The winter ball? Was yesterday?" She made a small noise of aggravation. "Damnit, I missed it? That sucks." Shrugging, she gave him a wave good-bye. "I guess there's always next year... See ya around."

Turning, she grabbed both the shovels from the sidewalk, and leant them up against the wall of the building, near the door, before going back into the warmth of the tavern. Gathering the bags she'd left by the door, Noire dug into her pocket for the key to her old room. Trudging up the stairs to her room, she opened the door and put her bags on the floor of the closet before hanging her coat up. The sheathed katanas inside clanged against one another, and she sighed wearily. It's almost like the old days. The room was surprisingly clean, but for her unmade bed, which had always been unmade anyway. Grinning at the thought, she changed from her travel clothes to her red plaid pajama pants and black t-shirt, and shook her hair out. The shuriken spinning from her ear glinted wildly as it shook, and she padded barefoot down the hallway and back down the stairs. The kitchen had cleaning utensils in it, if she remembered correctly.

Noire opened the broom closet door in the kitchen, and taking the vacuum cleaner, began by the door of the tavern. The noise buzzed in her head, and she felt like she was finally home again.

*Will put away his finery from the night before and slipped into a plain white tunic and jeans. He slipped on his mucklucks as appearently it had snowed late last night. Walking over from his cabana he noticed that someone had already been up and cleared off the walks. As he entered the club he heard a vacuum being operated upstairs.*

Will busies himself behind the bar, preparing some hash browns and grilling some ham steaks. Anyone who comes in to help with the clean-up will at least be well-fed.

Will stacks the ham on a platter and hash browns in a large bowl. Slides it into the oven to stay hot. Makes a couple of eggs and some toast. fashions himself a hearty breakfest and sits at the bar. A steaming mug of coffee and a copy of the (Insert your favorite city) Times. Eats with much gusto.
