The lead soldier pointed to Alex and Beelzebub. "The human, sir, is Alexander Rosegate Silverkin, elite anti-demon special-forces agent of the Hell Guardian organization." The soldier pointed to his badge, "We came here after reports of sadistic killings and sudden outbreaks of satanic worshipping. We believe he is the cause," the soldier pointed to Beelzebub. He then turned and pointed at the man who'd just pulled up in the car, "That is apparently the man who has been carrying out Beelzebub's dark wishes. I forgot to mention, the demon over there is Beelzebub, otherwise known as Lord of the Flies. We have no idea who his human servant is though."

People were starting to crowd around Beelzebub and Alex. Well, now I can't lose. thought Beelzebub. He was too compeditive. He couldn't resist to show off a little. He removed most of the blades from his body, and then jumped at Alex with signifigant speed, swinging his sword towards Alex's head as hard as he could.

Alex spun and ducked at the same time. He gracefully avoided Beelzebub's slashes even though his coat was still being torn by near misses. He looked for an opening and then threw a punch at Beelzebub, as he did another blade of light formed from between his fingers.

The angel nodded. "I suppose it is only polite to introduce myself. I am Agrid, of Captain Raul's region. We have set up base in the local church, for now. I have already had my comrade fly back to relay what is happening here to Captain Raul." He looked over to the fight. "Tell me, do you want me to help you with Beelzebub, or should I tail this person you are speaking of? We have to be sure he doesn't have any other followers."

OOC: Once again, he is not an important person, just a regular foot-soldier angel.

The soldier shook his head, "That, sir, is up to you. both ideas sound good, while I don't doubt ALex, he is not yet complete, he is not yet at his full capacity, being one of our newest members. On the other hand, it would be a good idea to learn more about this other chap over here. For the moment I say intervene the fight between Alex and Beelzebub, with so many people around and the types of attack he relies on, innocents may be killed. We can call in assistance to deal with Beelzebub's mortal servant.

Beelzebub grabed Alex's arm and therw him towards the wall where he had hid behind in the begining of the battle. "You Christians just don't get it, do you?" he yelled. "We rebelled against God. We got Adam and Eve kicked out of Eden. We had Christ crusified. And those are just the things we did before the days of the Catholic Church. Evil will always triumph!"

The angel drew his sword, a Roman-style short sword. "These are you men, so I will do as you recommend. However, I am only one angel, so I can't guarantee I will be very helpful. My battles are usually against weaker opponents, foot-soldier demons and the such. But I will do what I can." He leaped into the battle, catching Alex before he could crash into the wall and setting him down.

OOC: WTF!? Jolt changed the address by adding a freaking 2! Anyway, what happened?

"Oh, an angel and a demonhunter." said Beelzebub and grinned. "This just keeps getting better and better." He ran towards the angel and swang the sword for his chest.

'Sounds like Beelzebub is back,' Taishi thought to himself as he quietly slipped down the hill and turned to the soldiers watching the battle.

"Hello," said Taishi as he grip his sword gently. "I'm looking for demons seen any?"

OOC: Not anything with Methua, we're kinda waiting for either Mereshka to post, and after that for Josh... oh wait, I KO'd him... then for Mirage to get everybody out of there.

"So you can use illusions too? I see." He lifted his hands and above both he and Beelzebub, thousands of blades formed, they all angled at Beelzebub. "Well then, is this impressive enough for you?" He was grinning widely, "Thank you angel, I know not your name but I owe you a dept it seems."

The soldier bolted around with his gun pointed at the new figure. "Dammit, you shouldn't sneak up on soldiers... Over there," he said pointing to Beelzebub, "don't that look like a demon to you?"

OOC: Where'd you get the illusion thing from?

IC: The angel blocked the blow, but was knocked back a few feet. "I'm Agrid, and don't mention it. That is a very handy trick you have there."

"Yes but it seems your friend needs some help," started Taishi. "Why don't you aid him?"

"Just a basic attack." Alex said with a smile.

"We're not to get involed in Silverkin's affairs," said the lead soldier, "We're under his orders."

"So you can use illusions too? I see." He lifted his hands and above both he and Beelzebub, thousands of blades formed, they all angled at Beelzebub. "Well then, is this impressive enough for you?" He was grinning widely, "Thank you angel, I know not your name but I owe you a dept it seems."

OOC: no, in the begining of the battle, beelzebub was hiding behind a wall. I was just saying that he trew your char at that same wall.

OOC: I gathered that now, god, it's 11:00PM where I am, what time is it where you are.

The soldier called out, "Wait, that's not exactly a battle I recommend getting involved in, Alex will call for help if he needs it."

Tasihi just rolled his eyes as he waved goodbye to the soldiers as he went to the sight of the battle.

Taishi came closer to the battle as he threw a dagger towards Beelzebub.

The dagger hit Beelzebub in the shoulder. He looked at it, pulled it out and trew it back.

OOC: Well, i gtg, so I'll get my angel out of the battle for the moment. Also, Sylvonia, I'll let you RP my char for a bit, Ill PM you, its for after they get away from Methua.

IC: Agrid shook his head. "It would seem to be more than that to me, but whatever. Now, I now I just got here, but I must report to my Captain what is going on. It seems you have this under control." He flew off, back to Raul.

Taishi was lucky that he moved slightly to the left as the dagger came flying back to him.

'That son of a...' started Taishi as he went through the alley way with swords drawn. 'Let him go first,'

"Bloody beaut!" he said to himself as he looked at the demon.

Alex looked to the angel as he left, "Fair enough," he muttered. "So? What shall we do now?" Alex said with a grin. HE glanced behind him, "And who would you be? A fellow demon hunter?"

OOC: I need to be off too, sorry.

OOC: i just want 2 make sure i'm understanding Tasihi's background. He's a werewolf who came from iceland, went 2 canada. his family was killed by demons, so he's back 4 revenge. and somehow he knew who beelzebub so i'm assuming that beelzebub killed someone in his family

ooc: he's heard of Beelzebub but Beelzebub had nothing to do with his family deaths. He was told that demons killed his family so he's hunting the down to extinction.

"Hello Beelzebub," said Tasihi as he drew out his duel Hell Forged Class Longsowrds. "Heard about you, how are you?"

"If you don't wanna die, you'll stay out of this." said Beelzebub.

Tasihi look cool as he teased Beelzebub to do battle with him.

"That's bad luck then," replied Tasihi. "Because if I remember right, your kind killed what little I had and now, I'm here for you,"

"The man said fuck off, and at the moment I have to agree, this is my battle." Said Alex.

OOC: I'll knock Tasihi out for the time being

Tasihi was suddenly caught off guard by the second man. He felt a hand slap across him as it threw him across and slammed against a building. He collaspe as he suddenly was knocked out.

Beelzebub swung his sword at Alex's head.

Alex jumped back to avoid the blade and summoned his own blade of light in his left hand. The other blades he'd summoned were still floating in the air above the two men, waiting for a command. The soldiers watched them fight, "My god, please tell me he isn't consindering using that technique."

Beelzebub swung again, this time aiming for Alex's heart.

ALex bocked it easily, "Y'know you typically stab at a mans chest? But oh well." He stapped his fingers and five blades came roarign down at high speed towards Beelzebub.

OOC: No need to apologize, that why I put the :D

Beelzebub put his hans over his head, trying to protect himself from the blades.

Perfect. Thought Alex, he snapped his fingers again sending twenty blades down on Beelzebub, a the while moving away to a safe distance.

"Bastard." muttered Beelzebub, while trying to protect himself.

OOC: I have to go away for a bit.

Alex continued to move back, calling more blades to rain down. "Well this is getting boring..." The soldiers waited expectantly. "Well boys, guess may have to go report in then, eh? We got what we needed for the most part."

Kash slightly smiled "Ya, but it was humanity's first, your not?, I could have sworn you were going to kill me a second ago, so your a human good " he said walking up putting his hand out, unaware that this person was in fact something more than a human.

Octavius laughed. "No, my friend, you are wrong on both accounts. Werewolves were around long before humans ever walked the earth. And, you see, I am only part werewolf. The other part of me, is what you would call a vampire."

Tal's body began shaking, but he was sure to keep his arm still. (the one in Zena's brain.) He couldn't talk, but he managed to send back a mental message. Don't worry about it. But I don't think I can keep this up. Tal's eyes had rolled into his head, but still he refused to scream.

Methua grinned as he looked at Tal. "Ohho! So chivilrous, aren't you?" He sent another bout of pain into Tal, to add to what he was already feeling from Zena and Aozora.

OOC: this sucks, I don't have email alerts and I'm über dependent on them. :(

IC: Zena's eyes widened as Tal felt the pain. "You just don't give up do you?" she asked of Methusa, her psychic hands getting ever closer to his throat.

OOC: I have no idea where you guys are at in this so I'll put this out there for now, Mirage is on standby, whenever you need him to, he'll blink you out of there. And its selective blinking too, so he'll only blink the team out of there.

IC: Methua smiled at Zena. "You may wish to know, I've learned to survive without air. Choking me won't really accomplish much." Suddenly he was stabbed in the shoulder. He stared in surprise at Aozora. "I thought you were in too much pain to do something like that." He said. Aozora managed a weak grin. "It amazing what you can do when someone is torturing your wife." Methua shrugged, and Aozora's katana shattered into several pieces, and he was thrown across the room.

Zena instantly let go and caught Aozora. "Watch it." she cautioned. "If you can survive without air, what happens when you're in a vacuum?" Pressure elsewhere began to build slightly while the air around Methua was pulled away from him.

OOC: Later. My dad is picking me up around 7 Central time. And it'd be kinda nice for Mirage to help out with Methua. Besides, I thought he came with when Joshua blinked everyone there again.

Sudenly Methua was right next to Zena, but he made no move to do anything, just smiled. "Simple. I move."

OOC: So are we still in the same place but fighting now?

She let go of the air in the room and sighed. "Now that's just cheating." Zena replied. "Anybody else got any ideas?" she asked, lifting herself and Tal away from Methua.

OOC: Johsua moved them from Ontario to Vancouver and we're fighting there.

Aozora tapped his lips in thought. "Well, you ould always try making him explode or something..."

Mirage flew behind Zena and Methua, "Yeah, that could always work." he stopped on the ground a few feet away and did nothing more.

Zena blinked. "Didn't I try that on your uncle?" she asked of Aozora before going back to Methua and focusing on each of his cells and pulling them apart.

OOC: Summary, if you please?

Kash looked confused before submitting " I guess I need to brush up on my history." he said " Well, there are no others with me, I came alone, and I'm kinda hurt " He said moving his suit out of the way a little to show the lightly dressed bullet hole in his shoulder " It's really sore, and has impeeded my efforts."

OOC: I'm back. And also, since Tal is taking the pain for Zena, his head is still in her head, right? That could make maneuvering a bit tricky. But there's not really much I can do at this point.

OOC: Hey guys, sorry for not being on much. I'm busy. I won't go into details, but it involves a wedding and a very angry father (me). So, I won't be getting on much for a while.

Alex brought his hands back and with a wave threw a hundred more blades at Beelzebub, "Run from you? Be not foolish demon, I do not run. But your presence is disturbing and hints of things that may possibly come. I need to report this, as well as your skills, and the existence of your dog to my masters. Then I may obtain the order to kill you." Alex laughed. The soldiers nodded, "Are you sure sir? We could take care of this right now." Alex turned, "Be at peace child, we have no need to kill him now. That is a job for later, he is obviously no threat as of yet."

Agrid flew back to where the soldiers where fighting Beelzebub, and softly landed near the other soldiers. "What is going on here?"

"Ah nothing much, angel. We were about to head back actually, this demon appears to be of little threat, he has no real strength. He only pretends to be almighty." The soldiers nodded at Alex's remarks before looking to the angel, "We have to report back to Hell Guardian. They need to know what we foudn immediately."

The angel was somewhat taken aback. "What? You plan on leaving this demon alive? But-... well, I suppose it is up to you. Very well then. Is there anything you need assistance with before I leave?"

Alex laughed, "Leaving him alive. Don't thikn of it that way. You're here, plus, this wasn't an assassination, it was only for us to gather information. And that we've done," he shook his head with a mile, "I don't need my superiors getting mad at me for not following orders."

Agrid nodded. "Very well. I understand. You may leave. My business, however, is with him." He motioned toward Beelzebub.

"Do whatever you see fit, angel." Said Alex with a nod, he looked over at the soldiers, "Well then boys. Is everyone ready?" The soldiers nodded. Alex pulled out a large book covered with ancient runes. He opened in and flipped through the pages, he then began chanting a few ancient words and he and his team dissapeared in a flash of feathers.

"Who are you?" said Beelzebub without looking up.

He shook his head. "My name matters not, only that I am a servant of God, and as such your enemy. Now, I suggest you move immediately. I don't like repeating myself."

Beelzebub looked up, turned slowly towards Agrid and said. "Well, then. Make your move."

IC: Tal's body was filled with a searing pain as he strained to hold on, to protect Zena. His mind, no, his soul, felt as though it were separating itself from his body. Even his thoughts were strained and hard to get out. No... must... stay...here...with.........protect..............Zena...................... My......soul.........finds rest.... in.......God... alone. My.... salvation....comes........from him! Tal was managing to keep his soul intact, but only for the moment, barely.


OOC2: Can anybody besides Zena hear thoughts? I'm not sure, was it Mirage who could?

Anyway, this thread is really slow without Sylvonia and Mereshka. Ah well.

Agrid shook his head. "Insolent demon!" He slightly lifted his sword, and brought it down on Beelzebub's shoulder.

Beelzebub grabed Agrid's arm and twisted it and then kicked his knee towards Agrid's stomach.

Meanwhile in London:

Pyro sat in a room, it was, to an extent, his office where he took care of all the important things that had to be done. He sat quietly behind his desk, a gurad was at the door. A few other desks had some adivsors going over paper work while Pyro looked over recent incidents in London. The killings had stopped, which was a good thing, the police force was almost running at full capacity and London's streets were a lot safer. There was the sound of talking outside his officer before the door opened up, a man came in. Pyro looked up at him, "Alexander? Alexander Silverkin?" The man nodded, "Aye, it's me alright. I've come to tell you you're little demon friend has moved to Iceland. I've seen 'im, he ain't nothing to be worried about." He pulled a file from his coat, he had washed up and changed since his fight and his clothing was messy and bloody like it had been. Pyro took the file as it was thrown onto his desk, "So, Hell Guardian is moving here? That's more mouths to feed..." Alex laughed, "We ain't moving the entire bloody force, just a few people to stay in the mansion and to patrol the cty from time to time. I'm headed back to Iceland now, I'll talk to you later." Alex wlaked off without any further words, Pyro said nothing as he did so. Pyro looked at his advisors, "Say nothing, I will go over this and come up with a conclusion," the advisors nodded.

Agrid pulled his arm back, ripping off the sleeve of his long white robe. He jumped back in the same motion to avoid the knee aimed for his gut. He quickly leaped back at Beelzebub, with a kick aimed at his head.

Rollins drove out of Montreal and headed east, for Ottawa. He was looking for supplies and food. He shot a deer on the way, and that would keep him alive for a few more weeks. But he needed more supplies. he had plenty of ammunition. The roads were full of abandoned cars, he did check some of them, but they only had change inside them.

OOC: If you're still here, Greal, I'll give you something to do.

IC: A single scouting angel was flying over Canada, when he saw a strange sight. It looked like somebody was lost, and searching the cars on the roads. He wasn't supposed to interact directly with humans, but he could sense some demons were near, and the human would need protection. He flew down to the person, wings spread. "Greetings, mortal. Do not be afraid. I have come to help you."

Beelzebub dodged the angel's leg and swung his sword at Agrid's neck.

Agrid ducked under the blade, then slashed at Beelzebub's knees.

Beelazebub jumped over Agrid's sword and then stapped towards the angel's back.

Agrid rolled underneath Beelzebub, turned, and slashed at him, all in one fluid motion.

Beelzebub blocked the hit, but was pushed a cuople of feet back. "Your a good swordsman, angel, but not good enough." He jumped at the angel and swung his sword, aiming for his opponent's face.

Agrid simply jumped backwards, parrying away Beelzebub's sword. "Please. You flatter me. I'm not a very good swordsman at all. But then again, I don't have to be for the likes of you." He leaped at Beelzebub, high in the air, and made a powerful downward vertical slash.

Beelzebub stepped out of the way of Agrid's sword. "Well, I guess your right, you aren't a very good swordsman." he said and slashed towards Agrid's head.

Agrid simply parried away Beelzebub's sword and stepped back. "So, tell me, what happened to you? You used to be Satan's right hand man, and yet you're fighting for you life with a common foot soldier like me." Agrid grinned as he began making stabs at Beelzebub's stomach.

Suddenly Mirage straightened up, "Mass transport time." He muttered before the group vanished and ended up in Texas somewhere, "Sorry, I just had to pick a spot. Now are we all here?" Blade and Sharpshot were confused, Umbra had a lifted eyebrow, "That was unexpected..."

OOC: lol, ok.

IC: Zena looked around. "Tal, I think you can let go." She looked at everyone in turn, looking for anyone missing. "Wait, where did Josh go? He didn't go somewhere else did he?" she was beginning to panic.

"I prolly didn't lock on to him. Sometimes I miss... oh well. Who wants to go back?"

Tal tried to mutter something, but he couldn't talk yet. Truthfully, he had never tried passing through another object that had magic. Usually it was just walls and the sort. Tal had an odd sensation through his pain that part of him, and not just his hand, was stuck inside Zena. Tal decided the sooner the better, so he yanked his hand out of Zena's head. He looked at Zena and said, "I-" before passing out on the ground, seizing.

OOC: Sorry, didn't mean to rush you.

Zena closed her eyes. "He's still out cold. With a mind as chaotic as his when his conscience isn't active, he could be where we left him or he could be somewhere else or just lost in limbo." At that point Tal began to seize and Zena fled to him. "Damn it, what's going on?"

Tal managed to weakly open one eye. "Sorry....... my soul took a beating.............. I'm still not strong enough...... I guess my emotions got in the way, huh?" Tal strained to stay awake.

Umbra picked Tal up off the ground, "Feed on my energy, you and I are alike and the part of me most similar to you can be used to heal you. If only ever so slowly."

Zena nodded. "Good thinking Umbra. But we're without a way to locate Joshua. Perhaps we should head back to Ontario or Rome. Preferably Rome, it's warmer."

Mirage lifted an eyebrow, "We're in bloody Texas here, what are you talking about?"

Tal coughed. "Thanks Umbra. But I'm not sure how much it will help. It was my soul that was hurt." He stopped, biting on his lip. "Zena, are you-" Tal passed out again, this time just twitching.

"Oh wow. How do we stop this? And I meant that Rome is warmer than Ontario. It's too hot here and Rome has my resources."

"Quick stop, Zena, sorry." The next thing they knew they were in London, more specifically in front of Pyro's palace/government workplace. "Umbra, go talk to Pyro, update him." Umbra ran in, the guards didn't bother to stop him. Next thing they were in Rome, "Okay," said Blade, "Enough, we stay here at least for ten minutes."

Zena laughed at Blade. "Works for me." She looked around. "Um, sorry blade, but it looks like you're either walking or teleporting up there." she pointed at a high spot on a building that was her study.

OOC: Well Blade would be holding onto Mer's char right now... dammit, I wanted to have him run up the walls... dammit!

"Teleport it is." Said Mirage. Blade winced, "Dammit." They were in the study, Blade looked like he could kill. He hated blinking so much, "Dammit Mirage..." Mirage shrugged, "Get used to it."

Zena laughed at Blade. "He's right, get used to it." she said as she walked back to her map, tripping over various stacks of books and scrolls she had been trying to go through. "Either Methua is powerful enough to cover up Joshua's signal, or he's in limbo." Zena pronounced.

OOC: Lol.

"Yes, thankyou for that. We figured..." Said Mirage.

"I like to have as much information as possible. Besides, this narrows it down to two locations. Vancouver or Limbo. Since Vancouver is much easier to search than Limbo, I suggest checking there first." Zena said matter of factly.

"I'm a mass blinker which means he's hiding Josh's location. There, that brings it to one option, whether Josh is in a Limbo or not I can focus on his physical presence. But there's a disturbance, which isn't that much of a suprise..."

"So we're screwed either way?" Zena asked.

"For the time being. I can probably try an actual blink ritual, those things are damn near impossible to stop most of the time. I wouldn't be suprised if that failed as well, however."

"Don't bother, I'm almost positive it'll fail. I can leave a memory with Josh that'll play when he wakes up." Zena said, focusing on doing just that.

Mirage nodded, "Well then, I'm off, back to the garden." Sharpshot and Lucian looked at him, he looked back, "Yes you two can come." With that they were gone.

Agrid simply parried away Beelzebub's sword and stepped back. "So, tell me, what happened to you? You used to be Satan's right hand man, and yet you're fighting for you life with a common foot soldier like me." Agrid grinned as he began making stabs at Beelzebub's stomach.

Beelzebub blocked Agrid's sword. "Satan died. I got alot of my power from him, so with him gone, I don't have all that. But it's only a matter of time until I regain my power." he stabbed his sword at the angel's arm.

Agrid simply moved his arm so the sword went between his arm and his side. He then stepped forward and used him arm to grab Beelzebub's. He got right in his face, then said, "I see. So, you simply fed off of his power, like a parasite? And now that he's gone, you need somebody else to help you? Typical." Agrid jumped back. "I'll tell you what. I'll even give you a choice. Either we finish this fight right now, or I let you go to report to my Captain. Which is it?"

"I'd rather kill you, actually." said Beelzebub and charged at the angel, and stabbed towards his face.

Agrid was taken aback. I thought for sure he'd run... maybe he's not as cowardly as I thought. He moved at the last moment, but he still got a long gash along the side of his face. He rolled away, holding a hand to his face. "Fine then. We end this." He let his face go, then jumped in the air. Hovering over the ground, he flew straight at Beelzebub, swing his sword in an arc at his torso.

OOC: Would angels bleed? :confused:

OOC: I think they would, but that's just me.

OOC: i would probably guess that they would, but still, i don't know.

OOC: ok, I'll go with yes. Since I'm controlling all the angels, it seems.

OOC: Not all of them, Zena's an angel too. Of course, she's also half human.

OOC: Exactly. So she would definitely bleed. I'm just controlling the forces of heaven, I guess, since Raphael is gone.

Beelzebub raised his sword and blocked the hit and swung back at the angel's head. "You shouldn't talk down to me, young angel. I'm alot more powerful than you."

He flew backwards to dodge the blow. "At one point, you were. But without Satan, you're just another demon. You can't even fly, can you? No, you overestimate your strength." With that, blood running down his face, he flew up, then dive-bombed at Beelzebub at full speed, his sword swinging in a glorious golden arc straight at him.

OOC: See? I got the blood.

OOC: sad but true I guess.

Beelzebub jumped backwards, "Having wings doesn't make you powerful." he said "And besides from flying, what can you do that I can't?"

Agrid arced up from the ground, so instead of crashing, he was heading right for Beelzebub again. "Win."

Beelzebub jumped away from Agrid and laughed. "You really think you're going to win." he said. The demon turned towards the people and grinned. "You see this pathetic little angel over there. He is going to fight the most powerful demon on this continent, and he is going to fail. History will only remember him as an angel who wasted a few hours of Beelzebub's time. And yet, here he is, just waiting for death."

OOC: I gtg, i'll either be back in a few hours or later tonight.

OOC: Kazaar! :D

IC: The angel laughed as he landed. "You think you are the most powerful demon? You only kid yourself. And it's true. You might win. But so what? I am only a common foot soldier. You don't think there will be more? I come from a legion of 100, all here to kill you! Then there is the Captain, who it easily more powerful than any of us. Then there are arch-angels, whom he reports too. Face it, you don't stand a chance in the end." He gripped his sword. "But before all that, you have to get past me." He leaped at Beelzebub and thrust his sword at his heart. (where it would be, anyway)

Beelzebub dodged the hit and stabbed his own sword towards the angel's heart.

OOC: if it's ok with U, i would like 2 kill U now.

OOC: Soon I'm planning for Umbra to come back into this.

OOC: Ok, fine. But if you don't mind, I wouldn't like Agrids death to be completely wasted, so...

IC: Agrid gasped, then began coughing out blood. Beelzebub's sword had entered his chest and come out his back. He looked up at him, eye to eye. "Well, congrats. You got me. But I won't just die without sharing the pain." With Beelzebub's sword still in him, and with nowhere for him to run, Agrid gave a final cry as he swung his sword at his shoulder with all his remaining strength.

From the shadows, a single hidden eye of Umbra's watched the battle between angel and demon. That would be quite the soul to add to my collection... but no. I'm sure someone else has something in mind for him... that's right big guy. I'm thinking about you for a change... keep that in mind when you judge me. The eye continued to focus in on the two, it shifted fomr the wall of a building to the shadow of a car. Keeping out of sight, Umbra continued to watch, he intended to do nothing however. Gathering information would be his game until he needed to do more.

Beelzebub tried to back away from the angel's hit but wasn't fast enough. The blade wounded him pretty badly. Still, he didn't scream. All he did was smile. He had defeted his opponent. He twisted his sword inside the angel and lifted him up to his face. "Where's your God now?" he said and let Agrid fall to the ground. Beelzebub turned to the people. "See. No angel can protect you.I am your god now!" he said "Dispose of this angel's corpse. throw it into the sea or something." He then looked over to the werewolf who was still lying on the ground. "Well then, what have we here?" he said and kicked the werewolf's body.

There was a cold breath and the air seemed to suddenly go very stale. There was a sound of faint clapping coming from no direction in particular.

"Sigurd, take this unworthy little demonhunter out of my sight." said Beelzebub and pointed towards Taishi. He listened to the clapping. "Show yourself you bastard." Sigurd ran over to Taishi and draged him away without saying a word.

Sigurd backed himself into Umbra, who was standing in demon form. "You didn't like the clapping? I thought a congrats was in order... oh well."

"Don't you have anything better to do, you trator?" said Beelzebub.

Sigurd looked at Umbra with surprise. "Another demon." he muttered and began to bow down.
"If you bow down to him, I will personally make your life so miserable that you will beg me to kill you." said Beelzebub.

"Traitor? I never really followed Satan so that doesn't actually apply to me." His scythe formed in his hand, "And can I assume this is your minion? Not a very impressive one..."

"Humans aren't very impressive in general." said Beelzebub. "Now get off my island."

"Ooh, threatening me with that wound? Not smart. Especially when I'm a hell of a lot stronger than you. If you wish to survive, drop your attitude, you can't afford to have one right now."

"Oh, get a life, will you. I'm only trying to take over this one island. What difference does it make to you?" said Beelzebub.

"All the difference. You want the world, you're STARTING with this island. Two things I cannot allow, and this is my life. I kill and eat other demons... it's all apart of the death circle."

"You have a much bigger foe than me, Umbra." said Beelzebub. "Yes, I know about the so called "Moon-God". He's much more of a threat than I am."

Agrid's eyelid fluttered, then opened slightly. He was seconds away from death, and he saw that Beelzebub was talking to another demon. I failed. I can't believe it. And now there is another one. But then he noticed something. The second demon had what looked like angelic wings, black but with purple feathers. Wait, I've heard of him... isn't he....? With his last breath, he managed to barely whisper, "Tell Tal... he's wrong." Hoping this second demon might have heard him, he closed his eye, and died.

"You're mistaken, I was dragged in by a call for help to try and stop him... it's not one of my priorities... you on the other hand are. This 'Moon God' means nothing to me as of yet." Umbra looked to the angel, "Hmm? Very well angel, I'll tell your friend the message."

Tal was unconscious, but he could still hear what the others where saying. He tried to break through his veil of pain, to tell them that he was sorry, that he shouldn't have knocked out Josh. However, he simply couldn't get himself to wake up.

Zena looked up from her books. Tal, you alright over there? she inquired of his subconscience.

Tal's heart seemed to skip a beat. He had forgotten that Zena could communicate telepathically, and it had given him quite a scare. He did his best to hide his pain, so his thoughts sounded a little strained. Zena, I'm..... fine. Listen, I never..... got the chance to..... say sorry. I..... shouldn't have..... done that to..... Josh. I was........ wrong. He paused for a moment to try to keep his pain at bay, but it seemed never ending.

Zena chuckled. I didn't mean to scare you. And why are you hiding what I already know is true? It's not fitting of you. As for Joshua, don't worry, we'll find him. Do you have any idea why you're still unconscience?

Tal's eyes widened, or rather would have if he could move them. I...I.... I don't know. I didn't... well, want to worry you, I guess. I... I don't really know why I did. I... I can't seem to think straight.... my soul... who I am.... I'm not sure what happened to me, but I feel....... He paused again, and not from pain this time, but from hesitation. I don't understand. Why you aren't mad at me? I deserve it. It's because of me he's lost. What if something bad....... happens to him? Once again he paused. I... I don't know. My mind.... it seems everywhere at once.... and, it sounds weird, but.... something seems.... missing.

We don't know if it's because of you or not. For all we know, Joshua just tried to blink when Mirage did and that got him lost in Limbo. I don't have a reason to be mad. I don't know what could be wrong, maybe you're just getting back to your emotions and it's changing you. Zena yawned. I'm getting really tired. But I'll try and stay awake if it means you can communicate.

Tal stopped for a moment. My.... emotions? Whats that supposed to mean? I... I can't.... well..... I don't....can't.... need them. He paused again, longer then before. Zena, I should ask, are you.... ok? From before, did Methua, or.....I ...... hurt you at all?

I'm fine. Zena said. But you're getting in touch with them. You're caring about me and Josh. You tried to save us and help us. It's a good thing, you're becoming you again. She yawned again.

But.... But..... I.... I just can't! Emotions..... block judgment... I.... I'm not a human! I'm an angel! I....... I can't. I should have attacked Methua when he was distracted, but instead I helped you..... why did I choose to save one life over the thousands, no, millions that could be lost? why? I... I shouldn't..... I.... I.. Tal's thoughts were becoming more scrambled, spaced apart, as he tried to comprehend what he had done.

Tal, calm down. You're showing even more emotions. Right now, fear and panic, and that's flooding into me. Tal, it's not a bad thing, we can still stop him and undo some of the damage he did. Zena yawned again, she was starting to fall asleep. Tal, just relax. You had emotions before... she trailed off and fell into her book. With her mind still connected to Tal's, her dream was shared by the two of them.

(OOC: What follows is the dream Tal sent to me, something we've been working on for a while to show what happened to Tal without having him outright say it.)

Tal looks down at the others as he is ascending into heaven. Suddenly he is before what looks like a council of seven arch-angels, arranged in a semi-circle around him. His three remaining angels are dismissed. Tal turns to face the council. “I am happy to report that-“ “We know.” The angel in the middle chair interrupts him. “We were watching you. We are very pleased that you have finally defeated Satan.” He pauses, looking at Tal for a while. “We also saw that you had help.” Tal nods. “I couldn’t have won without them.” A shadow of a sad look crosses the arch-angels face, but it immediately fades. “Tal, are you aware of the many rules set in place for angels?” Tal stiffens up. “Yes.” “And are you aware that you broke several of them?” “Yes.” There is a pause, and some of the arch-angels exchange glances. “Tal, you remember Raphael? How he fell because he fell in love?” He pauses. “Have you ever wondered why a God of love would punish his angels for loving?” Tal remains silent, but seems to be listening intently. “The truth is, if we didn’t make him human, he would have been worse off. He could have never had a lasting relationship, since he would live forever and she would not. Also, he would not have been able to serve heaven in this state. Therefore, it is more of an… angel’s retirement.” He looked down at Tal. “And that is the problem here. You are growing too attached to those people. If what happened to Raphael happened to you…… We need you, Tal. You have done what no other angel ever could. You have bested Satan. We can not afford to lose you. Therefore, you shall not ever see them again. Unless, of course, we need them to help save the world again. But we can not have you socializing with them.” The arch-angels all are were staring at him intently, waiting for an answer. Tal stands silently, then speaks up. “Tell me, what of Umbra? You haven’t mentioned that. Isn’t it wrong to give some of my power to a demon?” The angels looked to each other, then back at him. “Umbra…. is not a demon of Satan. He has shown himself to be good intentioned. His judgment is still unsure, but… while we can’t approve of your actions, neither will we condone them. Is there anything else, Tal?.” Tal glares at the ground for a while, then looks up to the middle arch-angel. “I wish to be stripped of my rank as captain.” There is some murmuring with the council, until the middle one speaks up. “Why?” “Why? Because I lost the lives of 97 men today. I don’t want anybody ever dying for me again.” He paused, looking down. “And if I must sacrifice my emotion to make it so, then so be it. I will destroy all the demons on earth until either I am dead, or I have made the earth safe.” The council is silent, and nods in unison. “Also, one more thing. You must not speak of this meeting to anyone. Understood?” Tal nods, then turns around and walks away. His fist is clenched tightly at his side, and he flies back down to earth.

OOC: Yeah, that's what happened after the Garden of Eden thread.

IC: Tal's mind froze. He tried his hardest not to think, in case Zena heard him, but it was of course impossible. No... no, it can't be. I.... no.... no one else was supposed to know.... I swore I wouldn't tell.... No........ no.......... He stopped immediately, in case Zena could still hear him while she was sleeping.

Zena's subconscience came alive. Every side of her personality seemed to create a Zena that buzzed between the two minds. "How could you!" one demanded of Tal. "That's so nobel of you." swooned another. This went on and on with no end in sight as each personality chattered away with their own opinion.

Tal tried to block the Zena's voices out of his mind as best he could, but to no avail. He tried answering them all, but he couldn't keep up. No, I had too... It wasn't really..... I'm sorry, please, understand.... Tal stopped, hoping that this would end well with Zena all right.

As Zena's sleep pattern changed, the personalities began pulling themselves into one being. At last, a subconscience Zena emerged, one that had access to everything and anything in her mind. Sorry about that, but is that really what happened?

Tal sighed (mentally), then paused for a bit, before reluctantly answering Yes. But now... now surely you must understand? Why I... can't........ well..... I'm not human. I'm not even a person. I am a weapon. That is how I was made, and.... that is how I must die.

You're a living being with every right to emotions. You were just fine with them before the war. Without emotion, you lose sight of why you want to save people. You'll be fine if you let your emotions come back to you.

But... can't you see? I'm not meant to be....... happy. It doesn't matter if I am fine, only about others. I need to keep others safe. If I must spend my entire life by myself, killing demons without emotion.... it'd be worth it just make the world better for one person.... for any single person there is.... for people with a future, like...... you. My life.... it's not meant for me, its meant.... for others. Before the war..... I was wrong. But now I'm right, I must be! If anybody who needed help didn't get it, because my... emotions... got in the way..... but that will never happen again.

Tal, can't you see? You're making your own future. You've choosing to help others with your life. That alone should make you euphoric. You're doing so much good, you deserve a little something in return. Equivalent Exchange. You're putting in all this effort, why can't you get something good from that?

At this, Tal laughed, an odd, high pitched laugh that was unlike him. Is that what you think it means to be an angel? We have a duty to the people of the earth. They are the reason for our existence. Once our job is complete, all evil is gone.... we are obsolete. That is our goal. Odd, isn't it? We are created to serve, and in the end become worthless. He laughed his odd laugh again. If we even accepted the smallest amount of reward, that would corrupt angels forever. We don't need anything in return. If we got rewarded, why, we'd simply want more and more. No, that's not how it works.

That makes sense, but on the other hand, you were just fine with emotions until you lost your men. Zena's dominant personality changed. That's what changed you. If that hadn't happened, you'd still have your emotions like it was no big deal. You're not you without them and you know it. Besides, you're already showing emotion and you can't stop that. You found humor in what I said, you've found panic, confusion, and fear too. And most of all, you've found compassion.

Well, you're right. If that never happened, I'd still be the same. That is what changed me. That's when I realized that I was wrong. I realized that emotions only held me back. That they only got those who I had emotions for killed. And... you're right. I can't get rid of my emotion. I don't understand. It's still there, no matter what I try. Why would somebody who's meant to be a weapon have emotion?...... But I've realized something. If I stay away from everybody... when I'm alone... there's nobody to have emotions for. I am free. I can do my job without error, without second thoughts. That's why I must work alone. I realize that now. Tal began to laugh oddly again. That is my fate. That is who I was meant to be, and always will be.

That's not at all why they died. Another personality. They died doing what they wanted to. They volunteered to go with you, to fight until the end, and they were victorious in the end. Trust me, they wouldn't want you to live like this, it's not healthy.

You still don't get it. Tal's tone had changed, it was harsher then before. There is no volunteering with angels, only assignments. If I hadn't been so rash in my actions... if I hadn't injured myself doing so... if I had acted independently of all you... you all were powerful, you could afford to attack head on. I've never done that before, but do you know why I did? Because I wanted to stay with you. I didn't want to leave you, in case I never saw you again. And what did it cost me? Nothing. My men paid that price for me. That will never happen ever again. He paused. And I already told you, I don't care about my health. Why should I? I have powers that are meant to help others, not myself. I'm an angel. Nothing more.

You are conflicting. Still another one. You wish to help others, and you wish to be rid of your emotions, but we still see those emotions and we know people always work better in groups. You're not normally like this. The more you try to resist, the more you fail to realize that you're just trying to cut off a part of you.

Tal was quite for a minute. Maybe you are right. Maybe I must remove a part of myself to be rid of my emotion. Maybe I'll never be the same again. He stopped for another minute. Tell me.... what is it to you? Why are you so intent on turning me away from my destined path onto a more... human one? When it is more then possible that it could result in more death for others, more suffering? Why?

Because it's not who you are. Zena was waking up, her real self was showing through. You care for others, you don't do this because you're forced to, you do it because you want to. Otherwise you'd sin and turn into a demon like the others.

Tal was silent, longer then he had been before. I want.... to.... Zena, I...... He paused again. If I returned to the way I was... If I even could.....what if..... what if I fell in love? Tal's voice was trembling as he asked Zena.

Zena was silent for a moment. I don't know. she finally admitted. But it can't be as bad as going around without emotions. At least with that you have a purpose, to protect the one you love. Right now, you do love someone. Many people really. You love all of humanity, that's why you want to do this. But more importantly, you love God.

Tal remained silent for a moment, letting her words sink in. Zena, how can an angel as old as I be so foolish? I thought that after all these thousands of years, I finally figured out what it meant to be an angel. And here you'd known it all along. All I had to do was listen. He sighed. You speak with such wisdom, Zena. I owe you more then my life. I owe you my soul. How can I ever repay you?

Sometimes we get wrapped up in something so much that we lose sight of what it was that we were looking for in the first place. As for repayment, Angels shouldn't have it, it leads to greed and corruption as someone wise once told me.

Tal laughed. It was his normal, hearty, full, good-natured laugh that he had before the war for Eden. And you were very wise to heed those words, Zena. And you know what? I think my soul is better. I hadn't even noticed, but the pain is gone. However, I think I'll rest a bit longer. But...... thank you Zena. Truly, from one angel, to another.

You're welcome, but right now, I think we both need a very long nap. Zena was half joking, but the other half of her was tired from being awake in her sleep. And I'll bet that part of you that felt missing is full, isn't it?

You are right, as usual. I am spent! But, that part that was missing... well, I'm thinking that certain part of me.... it was always with you. And the incident with Methua had nothing to do with it. But, now.... I feel whole again. Tal relaxed, tired as he was. Zena........... Tal nodded off, sleeping peacefully.

Sleep tight my friend. Zena thought as she smiled before drifting off into a real sleep.

OOC: It's not easy coming up with different personalities for Zena either. That was just nuts trying to think of something I hadn't used and then pull it off. But we already knew Mereshka would have a lot to read and it's going to be good to have the real Tal back in action. I'm just glad I got to help with bringing him back.

Sleep tight my friend. Zena thought as she smiled before drifting off into a real sleep.

OOC: Well, that'll give GW a lot to read.

OOC: Aww you keep me in mindyousuck! LOLz no, it wasn't all that much.... Tal.... I keep wanting to know about... why the hell did the council not care that you gave a feather to Umbra...? He's a freaking demon, I thought they'd go nuclear on youz for that.

OOC: Well, I had kinda forgotten... what Syl used was actually my rough draft. I edited it and had sort of included that, kinda, but then he posted my old one, so oh well. I guess they might have stopped watching after Satan had died....

OOC: Fair enough

OOC: Send me the final draft and I'll edit that in instead of the rough draft. While you can't change it, I can with ease. Besides, you didn't say it was a rough draft.

OOC: I know, I'm not blaming you. I just didn't think you would post it if I was still around. I'll send it soon.

OOC: Ok, works for me.

IC (OMG!): Tal stirred. Suddenly he sat up. He looked up. The only other person in the room was Zena, fast asleep. He smiled, more then he had in seven years. It quickly faded though. He knew that after this was over, he wouldn't be allowed to see them ever again. He felt sad, and it almost felt good to feel sad. Almost. He walked over to the door. Josh... I'm sorry. You're out there somewhere... and I'll find you. I promise. He glanced back at Zena, then walked through the doorway.

OOC: I sent it. And I'm past 1000 posts! Woohoo! I be a Pimp!

OOC: I was like that for a while, it wasn't all that special. :p

IC: Zena stirred as Tal left the room. "Tal, where are you going?" She asked groggily. Standing up and groaning. She had slept slumped over and now her face was sticking to a book about a thousand years old. She peeled the face from her face and chased after Tal, knowing Joshua could fix any damage later.

OOC: Oh. :(

IC: Tal turned around, somewhat startled. "I should have known you'd be awake. And by the way, you have some sacred text imprinted on you face." He laughed, then looked at her in the eye. "Zena.... I'm going to find Josh. If there's even the smallest possibility that Methua has him..... I want to be sure. And don't worry, I won't confront him head on. I am... was the Captain of Stealth at one time."

"You also should have known I was still here..." Said Blade.

"I know. It'll wash off. Just out of curiosity, what was I reading, can you tell? And there's only one way to move all of us to Vancouver without Joshua or Mirage." Zena grinned. "I've always wanted to say this. To the Pope jet!" she laughed like nuts before reducing it to a giant grin. "What? I just like saying that."

"You're an oddball Zena." Said Blade quietly.

Tal raised his eyebrow quizzically. Zena obviously needed more sleep. "Are you asking if I'm allowed?" He laughed again. "I helped guide the hand that wrote several of these texts." "And Blade, I hadn't even seen you. You're as sharp as ever, I see." Tal opened his mouth, as if he was going to say something but stopped. He wanted to say that he would be faster and more efficient on his own, that he owed it to them to find Josh alone, but instead, what came out was, "Very well then. To the Pope Jet!" He laughed as loud as Zena had. "It is fun, isn't it?"

Wow... you two... you guys really are something. He gave a small smile. "Oh don't mind me Tal, I'm a weapon so I never do really sleep." He then looked up at the ceiling, "I wonder, however, where Umbra is..."

Tal leaned in towards Blade and whispered, "To be honest, I don't have too either. I just find it... relaxing." He leaned back, smiling. "Good point. However, I'm sure he can take care of himself."

"Ah I see." Said Blade softly, "I've never really tried. I've had insomnia in the past." he then shook his head when Tal spoke of Umbra, "It's not that, it's that he's usually puctual. He would normally talk to Pyro and immediately head back here, instead he's somewhere else. It's not like him..."

Tal was quite for a moment. He knew what Blade was talking about. And as for Umbra... "He did mention that he had other business to take care of. I wonder... we never did finish our fight with Beelzebub, I suppose. He might be in Iceland."

Zena laughed. "My study is accessible by only two ways, teleportation and flight. Blade, looks like you need a ride unless you can do either of those. And Tal, trust me, the jet will be faster than either of us carrying Blade here, even if we trade off."

Tal gave an odd look at Zena. What? I never said that I- oh, right, my thoughts. Zena, that's just unfair. He shook his head, grinning. "So where is this... Pope Jet?"

Sorry, that's the name of the game. Zena grinned wider if possible. "First thing's first, getting Blade out of here." A thought struck her. "Scratch that, that's second." Zena closed her eyes and sent a message to her assistant, informing her of what was going on. "Now then, Tal, you grab Blade, I'll take my semi-sober husband." (OOC: Aozora was brought with them, remember?) Zena's wings appeared as she grabbed Aozora around the middle and took off through the large north window.
