The werewolf grinned, and barked an order at the others. They imeadeatly went through the gates, not ready for the sight of all the people there. The wolf was astonished. He turned to Medunia. "Were there supposed to be this many here?"

"I'm not sure. Deserae didn't tell me how many there were. Looks like to be around two hundred of them. Seems like the rogue wolves have found themselves supporters. Do you think we can take on them?" asked Medunia to the leading wolf.

OOC: NOOOOOO!!!!! :( You can't leave me with him!

IC: "It'd be a nice thought though I don't think he'd like being called a pawn of all things." Josh caught the language. "I guess I'll just have to live under the assumption that Kathy can patch up Aozora and kick whoever you send back to the rock they crawled out from."

I said that out loud didn't I? Zena asked of Scream. "I wasn't talking to you." Zena said, disgruntled at what happened.


"If I told you, it'd take all the fun out of you not knowing now wouldn't it?" He asked with a slight air of superiority. Not that he intended for that, it just kinda happened.

Tal looked around. "Then who?" He turned back to her. "It matters not. You came here to fight me. So, fight me."

Scream didn't seemed amused. Why ask if you already knew the answer?

I felt you needed to know my self-annoyance. She replied. "You're right, it matters not." She waved her hand as if banishing Tal in an attempt to throw him off balance enough to run him through. She charged and readied the sword.

Tal stayed his ground. He might have given Zena his sword... but he was still familiar with it. Right before she was withing striking distance, he took a sudden step forward, swinging his knife vertically at the sword in an attempt to knock it to the ground.

If you're trying to tell me something, then next time don't do it in the form of a question. It's not like I didn't notice anyway, I'm right here. Scream seemed somewhat offended. I was going to give you another tidbit of information, but I guess you don't want it... it said, some of the playfulness back in its voice. It seemed oblivious to the fact that she was in the middle of a battle.

Zena's sword did get knocked off balance, but she was able to twist into a body slam now that the knife was out of the way.

Oh now that's mean. Your tidbits are always to helpful. She called back. I may be mad but I just need to get used to you being there, that's all.

Tal fell back, but he used his free arm to pull Zena over top of him, flinging her behind him. He immediately sprang up and turned around to face her.

The voice giggled like a small child. I'm blushing, really! Well, if I had a body I would be, tee hee! I should ask for an apology, but whatever. Anyway, Tal seems very emotionally unbalanced. Maybe you haven't noticed, but both of the opportunities he's had to kill you, he didn't. He hasn't even nicked you. Admittedly, he did stab Aozora, but he stabbed him, and not you. And it looks like it wasn't even fatal! I'm not going to explain much further then that, but I thought I'd just share my observations. Oh, and I think I know what Josh is trying. Take it from me, if it's what I think it is, it won't work. Anywho, that's all for now! The voice quieted instantly.

You're more helpful than I think even you know. She said to Scream. And he was right. Tal just tossed her around, nothing deadly. If she could tip him past the breaking point, he'd either snap like Hannibal Lector or go nuts and actually try to kill her. It was a risk she had to take. "What was that!?" She called, steadying herself in the air. "You're just avoiding my attacks." Zena grinned and dove again for Tal.

The voice merely giggled again in her head as it faded away.

Why is she grinning? Did she hit her head or something? Tal lowered his shoulder again as he held his knife out. He tried to push at Zena with his free hand while blocking any sword attack with the knife, with the intent of throwing her to the side.

Zena didn't give Tal the opportunity he needed. She knocked at the knife and tackled him to the ground. Using her telekinesis, she tried to burrow the knife into the ground while raising the sword above Tal's head. "I'll give you a moment to repent." She said. It was the least she could do, and hopefully it would spare his life if he'd give up working with Leon.

Tal held onto the knife, it was stuck halfway into the ground, and he was keeping it from going any further. "Repent? To you? I will only follow my God, not a 'High Priestess!" Tal struggled to get out from under her, but he couldn't without releasing the knife.

Zena closed her eyes. "I meant to God, but if you won't, then it ends here." She didn't dare open her eyes and brought the sword down toward Tal's head.

OOC: Geeze, I don't WANT to kill Tal, but Zena's gotta do what she can. This kinda sucks....

Tal's fear of death suddenly gave him the strength to roll to the side under Zena, letting go of the knife. The sword cut into his shoulder, the same one that the katana had sliced earlier, while the knife was sucked into the earth. He glanced at his reflection in the sword that was in his shoulder. That.... that was going to kill me. No... I can't let anybody stand in the way of God's will. Not even you, "ZENA!!!" Tal's arm shot up from under her and grabbed her neck. He had caused the sword to bite into his shoulder even further, but he didn't seem to notice the blood now flowing freely over the ground. His eyes seemed to darken as he began to squeeze her neck.

OOC: Like I said before, I've got a huge ass. :D (Don't read too far into that)

Zena pulled the knife from the ground and drove it into Tal's arm. Once in there she began to move it back and forth, cutting and tearing at the muscle. She worked at pulling the sword out too and trying to force Tal's hand off, but it would take a miracle to save her now. The illusion over Aozora vanished as her vision began to blur. Soon the knife stopped moving and her face paled.

Kathy meanwhile panicked when the illusion vanished. It didn't take long to find the cause. She grabbed her wrench and ran full tilt for Tal. "Why won't you just die!?" she screamed, bringing the wrench down upon Tal's head.

OOC: Um, ok. Don't worry, I can do the same, but I hope Aozora doesn't die, I kinda need him around.

Tal grinned triumphantly as Zena stopped hacking at his arm. He knew he was about to win. But something bothered him, a thought passed through his head of what he was doing... his grip seemed to relax a bit. Right then, Kathy's wrench came down on the top of his head. It gave a sickening crunch, and Tal's eyes rolled into his head. His fingers stopped squeezing her neck immediately, but his grip on Zena's (his) sword didn't relax a bit.


OOC: Lol, after all this, Kathy saves your ass. Well, I guess at this point it's up you either you or Mer to save Tal.

OOC2: Oh, btw, now that he's finally unconscious, all his cloaking (such as the cloak over his brain) would be gone. Not saying it makes any difference, just FYI.

Kathy wrenched Tal's arm off of Zena and she pulled the two apart. She checked Zena's vitals and aside from strained breathing, she should be fine within a couple days. Provided nothing else happened of course. There's be permanent damage, but she'd live. Kathy ignored Tal entirely, almost hoping he'd die while she carried Zena back to Aozora. "You two are a real mess." she laughed gruffly.
"Thanks." Zena wheezed out. Or at least she tried before passing out.

OOC: Lol, yup. That's why I have multiple characters. Mer's gonna have to save him and Zena's out cold so she can't do anything either. Though Kathy could finish him off...

OOC: Grr...

IC: Zena's shadow seemed to thin, almost become a bit lighter, but other then that did nothing.

OOC2: It turns out, what happens to Zena, also affects Scream somehow, which neither he (nor I) knew until now. Huh.

OOC: How could you not know that? But it makes sense. Tal's shadow would be attacking Zena's.

IC: Suddenly a katana appeared in front of Kathy's throat. On the other end was a rather gentle looking man, with rather sad eyes, and hair so blonde as to be white. "My my, you people do cause problems, don't you?" The man asked in a soft voice.

OOC2: For anyone whos wondering, or particuarly cares, this is Aeryn with his memory intact.

OOC: I keep forgetting to talk to you about that to be honest. And oh shit...

IC: Kathy's eyes widened. "Well you're new." She said in a dry tone. She grabbed her wrench and aimed a kick backward between Aeryn's legs as best she could from her kneeling position.

OOC: I'm in college now... which is why I haven't so much as been on for the last few days.

Mirage sat patiently in a field green. "Hmm, the others seem to be having so much trouble... I wonder if I should step in... this Leon character is an annoyance. And they are my friends... somewhat. I'll step in when the time seems right."

Aeryn blocked the kick, seeming to have no problem holding her leg whilst standing on one of his, with the sword still at her throat, which he put pressure on, just enough to draw a trickle of blood. "I don't think this situation is ideal for you, now is it?"

Kathy grunted at the sword. "You people and your sharp objects. What do you want?"

Aeryn laughed. "Simple. I am here to make sure that the angel does not die."

Leon smiled at Josh. So, now that we are here, anything you want to say?"

"Then leave me. He'll be dead soon if you just hold my leg." Kathy scoffed. "Look at all the blood. And his skull made quite a nice crunch when my inch and three quarter wrench met it."

Josh put his hand on his chin and thought. "Not much I can say really. I wish you wouldn't kill innocents, but you already knew that. I guess you already know how much I loathe you, so I'm pretty good on speech."

Aeryn shrugged. "There really isn't anything I can do about it, now is there? The best I can do is keep you from doing anymore damage. Leon can probably fix what is damaged."

Leon sat cross-legged, and stared at Josh. Suddenly he said, "What would you do if Kathy and Zena died? And the wolf and Aozora for that matter."

"Then you best hope Aozora isn't a fast healer." Kathy chuckled. "You can keep me perfectly restrained without so much force you know. Care to loosen the blade a bit? Just enough to not bleed so much?"

Josh shrugged. "I'd have to rally a few of our other supporters of course. I've got friends that could quite easily destroy the planet if they felt like it. For that matter, I could do the same if I really put my mind to it."

Aeryn shrugged. "Your mutt does not scare me. And I why on earth would I loosen it, hmm?"

Leon grinned. "And you think I can't?" His grin widened. "Though I must say, you are a good actor. I know you wouldn't be nearly so complacant were it to actually happen. And for that matter, I know you wouldn't destroy the world, nor let anyone else."

"Because I have itchy wrench fingers and you can restrain me just as well without killing me. But that's a shame, you should be scared of him, especially with Zena out cold." Kathy said, her wrench now firmly in her hand.

"While I thank you for the compliment, I never said you couldn't. And I did answer honestly, I would have to call upon a few friends." Josh said, still remarkably calm.

Aeryn smiled faintly. "I really don't care you itchy you are. And, as I said, I prefer to not take any chances. And trust me, I can best Aozora, no matter how angry. I'd be able to even were he not injured."

OOC: Oh, by the way, what is it you wanted to talk with me about Aozora?

"We'll see about that." Kathy swung the wrench with as much force as she could muster in her position toward Aeryn's head.

OOC: I'll send you a TG in a minute.

Rather than try and block the wrench, he simply whirled around to the back of her, and kicked the back of a knee.

OOC: she's kneeling, so how would that work?

OOC: She's already kneeling though, so kicking her knee wouldn't do anything, she's on the ground already.

OOC: It would either ake her fall the rest of the way tobe on the ground, or her leg would spasm. Oh, and by the way, how would she strike at his head if shes kneeling?

While she was speaking, three new recruits and one escort were walking toward were Medunia and her "men" to collect wood and stones.

IC: Kathy's leg spasmed upward as she screamed. "Damnit! Was that necessary!?"

"You tried to hit me with a wrench." Aeryn said calmly. "Was that really neccesary?"

The wolf nodded. He growled a few words to the others, in the ancient werewolf language which he was fairly certain none of the younger wolves knew, and they disperesed into the crowd. Then, without hesitating, he walked towards the approaching people, and brained one of them with his mace.

The escort was frozen in terror when he saw one of the wolves he was escorting being maced by a werewolf. He drew his axe and growled at him. The escort told the other recruits to go warn Slater.

Slater noticed something was odd, then before he realized it.....
"Draw your weapons." he said to his elite body guards.

The wolf grinned at the escort, and stalked menacingly towards him. "So, Slater is the one in charge here, hmmm? I assume that means the false god has been taken care of."

"You tried to hit me with a wrench." Aeryn said calmly. "Was that really neccesary?"

"You're slicing into my neck, perfectly necessary." Kathy replied.

"And you trying to smash my head in gives me perfect reason to kick you."

"And you slicing my neck gives me perfect reason to try and smash you head." she retorted. "Which you did unprovoked, thus, perfectly justified."

"Yes. They said something about founding their own clan, but they decided to join our clan when we appeared." said the escort relaxing slightly,"You know, we don't have to kill each other. The recruits can't cause any human harm."

Meudnia listened quietly and waited for the wolf to make his move.

The wolf thought for a second. Suddenly he raised the mace, and seemed about to strike the escort, then sighed, and glanced back at Medunia. "Well 'Alpha'? What are we to do?"

Aeryn shrugged. "We each have our reasons, though I must say, I honsestly don't care what yours are. If it makes you feel any better, I apologize for kicking you, but I was doing my job."

"Well, it helps a little." Kathy was still pinned and grumpy as ever about it. Oh how I wish Josh was around at this point.

Aeryn shrugged, then thought a minute. "If you promise not to try hitting me again, I will remove the sword." He said.

"I make no promises, but if you remove the sword, I won't attack unless provoked." Kathy said, knowing it probably wouldn't be satisfactory.

Aeryn shrugged, removed the sword, and sat down on the ground, katana in his lap. "I see no reason to kill you, so you won't be provoked."

Kathy nodded and trotted back to her toolbox. Once there, she rifled through it until she found a small white box. Sitting down next to the toolbox, she placed the white container on her lap and began to bandage herself up as best she could with the awkwardly positioned wound.

Aeryn seemed completely content to sit there in silence, simply watching her.

Leon, who had continued to stare at Joshua, suddenly grinned. "So, is there any particular reason you brought me here?"

Kathy finished bandaging herself and put everything away, save a few wrenches, before standing up and going to check on Zena and Aozora. She didn't know what to do about him, but the hole in his chest looked serious.

Josh rolled his eyes. "You stopped my blink and brought me here. I can recognize transportation spells and when mine fail. But mainly I just wanted you away from people while they sorted things out."

Leon shrugged. "I have a man watching them, so I'm content to stare here."

Aozora gave a weak cough, blood dribbling down his chin.

"I figured as much, though I should like to leave. Aozora needs medical attention last I saw and unless Zena can get him there, it's not happening." Josh said.

Kathy had grabbed a couple gauze pads from her med kit and started applying pressure to Aozora's wound. "Josh should be here soon, he can get help for you." She tried to assure him.

Leon again shrugged. "Then by all means, let us return."

Josh closed his eyes and focused. He'd never tried leaving limbo when someone else brought him there and he had a feeling it could have nasty consequences. He vanished and brought Leon with him, feeling it would look better to do so. "Oh that doesn't look good." He said at the sight of Aozora. "Is he stable enough to be moved do you think?"
"It's not. And no, but it's gotta be done." Kathy replied.

Leon smiled faintly and sat next to Aeryn, not saying a word, simply watch with amusement plain on his face.

"Alright Aozora, we're taking you back to Rome." Josh vanished along with Kathy, Zena, and Aozora, and the trio reappeared in the hospital nearest Zena and Aozora's house while Zena herself landed on her own bed. "Get a doctor and an OR prepped now." Josh said to the nurses, who'd gotten used to him popping in over the years. When they saw what was going on, they didn't question him and went to work.

OOC: Getting off mate.

OOC: Aww. I just got the electricity back on. :(

The wolf thought for a second. Suddenly he raised the mace, and seemed about to strike the escort, then sighed, and glanced back at Medunia. "Well 'Alpha'? What are we to do?"

"I don't know. This complicates our mission." said Medunia frowning a little coming out with her hand ready to draw her sword. She turned to the escort,"So the wolves can't harm any humans?"

"If they do, I guarantee they'll die a painful death." said the esort, stepping back as if trying to avoid the mace.

Tal's eye creeped open. His other one was covered in caked blood, so he didn't bother even trying to use it. They.... they left? Tal's mind was still a bit hazy, he couldn't remember the exact details of what had happened. I.... I must have drove them off. I won? I killed them? I was useful after all? Tal expected to feel elated at this, but he only felt sorrow. He wasn't sure where it came from, so he ignored it. His eye turned to Leon, along with a newcomer. Who is that? Friend or foe? Tal hadn't aware that Leon had other allies, but it only made sense. Tal coughed weakly, and blood sprayed out on his already blood soaked robes.

It would be at that moment that Tal would recieve a message from Mirage, "Well, well... Aren't you just fucked up? Fucked six ways from sunday, eh? Ah well. Looks good on ya, I mean, after the path you decided to go on, you needed some smacking around. Talk to you later."

Tal tried to not pay any heed to the voice in his head, although the swearing got him angry. Or would have if he wasn't so beaten and tired. At this point, I can't even keep my mind safe from their messages, let alone anything else. Tal thought for a second, then realized that thinking this wouldn't be a great idea if anyone was listening. Ah well. What more can they.....you?..... do to me?

Once Aozora was in surgery and a doctor looked at Kathy's throat, the duo left for Zena. Kathy checked her vitals and determined she was just exhausted. "We could head back to the battlefield and wait for her if you want." she suggested to Josh.
"I'd rather wait here, besides, it looks like she's coming to." He gestured to her eyes, which were opened a crack.
"What'd I miss?" she asked groggily and Kathy proceeded to tell her the story. When Kathy was done, Zena sat up in bed. "I want to head back and I won't take no for an answer." Josh nodded his head and obliged, leaving Aozora in the hospital.

They're not dead? That's..... Actually, Tal didn't know what that was. He wasn't thinking too hard on it anyway. Either way, they're back. That means I didn't do as well as I should have. Tal knew there was no chance of him doing anything at this point, all he could do was lay there on his stomach and watch.

The voice yawned in Zena's head. Up already? That was quick. I think anyway, I've never slept before. So.... well, congrats on living!

Wait, you were out cold with me? That's strange. Zena replied.
"He's still alive?" Josh asked about Tal.

Tal laughed in his head to himself when he heard their comments. Well, what he could hear with his ears caked with blood. Well, I guess I look as bad as I feel.

You're telling me. I've never done this before, traveling with someone, I just knew how. It's pretty interesting though, to say the least. However, I don't know what will happen if you die........ Hmm...... I guess that means you can't die, K? Scream giggled, apparently amused at the thought of its own death.

Zena spoke first to Scream while trying not to raise an eyebrow. It would be interesting to find out. Though I'm not sure either. And don't worry, I have no plans for dying any time soon. She then turned her attention to Tal. Have you learned your lesson yet?

Good. And I don't have any plans to kill you, so it should all work out. By and by, you have a very comfortable shadow. Scream said this boringly, most likely because it had just complimented Zena in a way.

I should have known you'd be in my head. Anyway, what does it matter what I believe? I'm can't do anything at this point.

Um, thank you? Zena didn't know how to reply to Scream. Tal was another matter though. That's right, you can't do anything. But your answer can decide your fate. You are unable to defend yourself, but Kathy is more than capable of lifting a wrench.

Scream sounded slightly puzzled, like Zena. You are quite welcome. I'll have to figure out what makes it so..... nice. But that's for another day, I suppose.

Well, technically, I said you feel nice, but since I can't physically touch you, it's not in an awkward way, I'd think. Scream didn't seem to concerned, but he was still talking anyway.

I've already explained how that's not God's goal, but you aren't listening. I can't be expected to fully understand it anyway, but it's God's plan, not mine. Tal's tone was very quite, relaxed, as if he didn't care to argue anymore. You don't stay on topic very well, do you? I guess it's not like I have anything better to do. Well, I don't know what will happen to me. Maybe I simply won't exist. I'm not even sure if I have a soul.

Cause that makes a lot of sense. Zena was now a touch confused, but it didn't really matter to her.
It's not God's goal to kill off the unbeleivers, but that's what you've been doing. Seems contradictory to me. And no, I'm bad at one topic. And it's an interesting concept really. Who knows what will happen.

Like I said, this is new to me too. You can take it however you want. Scream yawned again. But I think I like sleep.

I don't pretend to understand God's plan, but I know that is what it is. Are you one to assume you know it better? But anyway, I'm not too concerned about death. Even if I cease to exist, at least I will be able to rest... that sounds nice, some peace and quiet.

To be perfectly honest, I am having extreme difficulty following this conversation right now. I can't move, barely think, so, well, this sounds odd, but sorry. But I think that nothingness..... well, it wouldn't be too bad. At least I wouldn't have to worry anymore.

But with nothingness, you won't feel joy either.

What I do now has no joy in it anyway. I'll be better off. I'm not even strong enough to help Leon anymore.

Help me? Zena, who's to say what is truth? Apparently, I lack the ability to know for myself, so I suppose it's for the best that I die. Why couldn't I have just died? You were so close to killing me.... Instead of dying for what I believe in, I've been reduced to a whimpering bulk of dead weight, questioning the things I was about to die for! Tal paused, he blinked his eye. But that doesn't matter now. Do what you will.

"So dramatic, as always." Said Mirage as he appeared beside Zena, "You had everything, then you just fucked it all up, eh? All because you don't possess the ability to listen to your friends."

Kathy took the opportunity to snort loud and long here before laughing like mad. "Mirage, I love the way you phrase things." she managed to choke out.
"Dramatic? I thought it seemed to be working alright." Zena said.

"Well that would be my take on things. Sorry I couldn't be of much assistance during this rough time."

"We got through it, that's all that matters." Josh said.

Tal took the moment to close his eye.

"You know, if I actually felt sorry for him.... I might consider getting him some serious medical attention. But, seeing as he's not trustworthy at all, I'm not going to do that."

"I'm a licensed practitioner and I'm not helping him. I don't expect you to." Kathy retorted.

They're still talking about me. I wonder why Leon doesn't do anything? Then again, they aren't doing anything either. Tal creaked his eye open again to look at those who might decide to kill him at any moment.

Maybe I haven't fully explained myself. You see, Angels have a set of codes that they live by. One such code is that, we obey a higher ranking angel officer, and help them if their mission takes priority. There are next to none that are higher ranked then the Angel of Death himself. I must help him in his mission. He must be right. That is why he is who he is. He has earned his way there. I have no choice but to follow him.

"I heard Tal's words when this all began, something about the angel getting in your head and such. A shame Tal isn't one to follow his own advice. No angel has ever done anything like this before. But with everybody telling me otherwise, of course I have doubts! But it is sinful to doubt God, which worries me. I can't just turn against a commanding angel based on somebodies word, even yours! You have no proof. How can I even consider such a thing? No, I can't just change my mind. Especially not at this point. So I can't let you kill Leon.

I will find some way to help Leon, no matter what. I won't be useless. Maybe Umbra has talked to God, but how can I know that? True, I am close to Umbra. Maybe closer then I realize. But if I have to cut off my connections to my friends in the line of duty, then I must. I'm sure you must understand this? And as far as I'm concerned, absence of proof isn't proof of his guilt. It's not like you've never been wrong either.

Zena's shadow seemed to awaken. Gah, I can't sleep with all this racket going on. Anyway, who's the one eyed freak?

"And there's the beauty of it, you say that just because he doesn't have proof he isn't guilty. Yet you'd never extend that to the rest of us. You'd kill us in a heartbeat, hence why we all hate you. Tal, former captain of the angelic guard. Zena said.

"We've been wrong plenty of times." Zena said. "That doesn't make us wrong now. And since you can't do anything right now, we may as well end everything." Kathy raised a wrench at this point.

Scream broke into a fit of laughter. After a bit, it calmed down. Hehe... good one, Zena. But no, I meant the floating bandaged guy that actually only has one eye. It giggled a little again.

It was then that Umbra's voice could be heard resonating through the area, "You're a sick person, Mirage... thinking I want to kill my friends..." Umbra appeared behind Mirage in human form, Mirage shrugged, "You're a demon, it's easy for you." Umbra raised an eyebrow, "Even I have limits... now stop saying my name, I'm hunting someone." With that Umbra vanished.

"If he won't, I will." Kathy said. "Just say the word and Tal's gone."

"Good to know." kathy said. She started walking toward Tal, wrench in hand and ready to finish the job.

"And Tal, I have not been preaching that those with power are always right, I've been saying that those with power should do what is right." Mirage. She said simply.

Exactly. And you're going by what you think is right. Does that justify you killing me, because I believe that I'm- Tal stopped suddenly. His eye remained closed, he didn't even notice Kathy. He didn't move outwardly, it was impossible for him to do so, but he felt like he'd been slapped with a cold towel.

"You believe that you're what?" Zena asked. "I'd speak quick if I were you." She was operating on the assumption Tal noticed Kathy.

Tal still didn't notice Kathy, even with the warning. Because..... I believe I'm right. I believe different then you. That was what the others had been saying all along, but when he said it himself..... Tal felt crushed, truly defeated, worse then his actual injuries.

"Different you may be, but you always had your priorities in order before now. This isn't you, following orders just because he's higher ranked than you. You always thought for yourself what's good and what's right. Why is now any different."

Tal didn't even pay heed to Zena's comment. No... to destroy someone because of their beliefs.... is wrong, no matter the reason. I.....

Leon, realizing where this conversation was going, and not liking it one bit, jumped in. Deciding to speak aloud, he said, "Is it so wrong if what they believe will lead to the destruction of our Lord and God? We are not killing them for what they believe, brother, but for what we believe."

Aeryn simply sat there, and looked at the newcomers with little apparent intrest. Apparently, he followed Leon from something other than being fooled by his convictions.

"Actually, it is because of what they believe. If they believed in Taoism, you wouldn't be persecuting them." Zena said. "Or do you plan to kill them off next?"

Leon shook his head. "Of course not. What they believe matters not to me, our Lord champions free will. It is because what they are doing is making our Lord less powerful, and will eventually lead to his downfall. They have free will, but if they choose to be apart of that, then I will defend Him. I do not enjoy it, but it must be done."

"Then you shouldn't have trouble explaining how their faith weakens God. It's something I never understood and if you could convince me, I might be willing to join you." Zena said. It was only half true, and he would probably see it, but it was still worth knowing.

Leon's smile widened. "Simple. God gains strength in knowing that he has his peoples love, and through their prayers. As they lose faith, so does he lose power. If things continue as they have been, he will become a mere shell of a God, and soon, cease to exist at all."

Zena began to laugh uncontrollably. And Josh just shook his head, smiling. "I love your explanation, but you're wrong. How can an omnipotent being lose power? Omnipotent, all powerful. If he loses or gains power, he's not omnipotent, though we know he is. Yes, my argument hinges on an adjective, but it's because it works."
