Finishes the grape juice. The can crushes itself.

*Will closed up the bar. Left on only the night light by the door. Pulled the drapes shut. Putting on his coat he walked down the path to the cabana he was sharing with Noire. The stars sparkled. A cold wind swept across the bay. He went inside.*

* sighed and rolled on to her back and stared at the ceilling, as she lay she though threw all of her plans and then started to think about her childhood*

kriges body turned to mist but he didn't apear completly in the undreground chamber. His faced formedon the ceiling looking down at raven. "Boo!"

* at the sound of his voice raven was pulled away from her memory with look of shock and supprise spreading accross her face," how in the...."*

Kriege grinned and droped out of the ceiling. he landed so that he was standing with his leg on either side of her waist. "like my new trick?"

she thought for a moment considering," hmmmm, iam not sure....is this a new side effect of your parisite?"

"The parasite is gone megs friend ripped it out of me. no this was a lattent ability that Millenium planted in me. Project Kaiser finaly kicked in. U see I was part of an attempt to artificaly creat nosferatu. however there was a problem with the program. so it was never finshed and i was left to fend for my self during the hellish battels of wwii." he looked down at her and pushed his googel sunglasses back into place

she shook her head," why would someone want to create a nosferatu?" she watched him for a few moments be for motioning for him to have a seat next to her," you know you dont have to wear those things around me dont you?"

Kriege hesitated before taking the glasses off. His eyes had changed again. The irises were a bright crimson with tin black vains spidering threw them. the whites of his eyes were now black. The pupils was even more slited then befor but its edges, thow still ragged, had smothed out a bit.

her eyes widened slightly when she saw the change but other than that she did not appear to be suprised," new colors" she stared at him for a moment and smiled slightly," i think that i might like the blue better, but i guess you cant change that"

Kriege lay back and looked at the ceiling. "My life has gone from nightmare to living hell since the lattent abilities surfaced. I need to feed but... I cant bring my self to."

shyly she placed her hand in his," its some thing you just have to get used to....its not easy but thats all there is to it." she sighed" if your lucky you will be able to find some one who will give you blood"

Kriege closed his hand around Ravens and gently squeezed it. "I will only drink the blood of my enimies. I need no donner."

Kriege pulled raven to him and held her. "I am not him."

she stiffened as the memory flashed accross her mind
the moon filtering through the clouds and the trees,jasper slowly walking towrds her, then the slight prick as his fangs sank through her skin

"And I will not fail." kriege turned Raven to face him and kissed her.

sighing softly she returned his kiss," i hope for your sake that you are correct"

He stroked her face gently. "I will not fail."

she smiled,"good". then kissed him again.

He rubbed her sides smiling. "You look lovely this evening."

she giggled slighly," it tickles" and blushed,"thank you"

"I love your laugh. it sounds so warm." he grinned at her happily

raven smiled and blushed again," thats nice to know because iam freezing." she wraped her self in her blanket, then lay her head against his chest

"I hear that close phyiscal contact is the best thing for that."

she raised an eye brow," really?, seems like an interesting consept"

He winked at her. "Hey its worth a try."

she shrugged and moved closer to him,"we shall see"

she grinned at him and rolled her eyes," not at all"

he rooled on top of raven. "Why so sceptical?"

"what would you prefer top?" He rolled over and pulled raven on top this time.

"no, no, i will be warmer the other way" she giggled and rolled off of him, on to her back

walks to a tabel to wait for some one to show.

ths small fary entered the bar and looked around befor taking a seat on the table of one of the booths near the door.

Kriege felt a presance an focused on it. he turned and saw the fairy. "Good evening Miss."

she turned so that she could see him," hello"

"I'm suprised that you returned to this place. I thought that faries avoided humans and the like." His right arm slid into its angel blade format and he began to sharpen its edges with a black stone. "So what brings you here isis? I belive thats your name right?"

"yes thats my name" she considdered his first question for a while," just passing through, i needed a place to stay and was offered one here"

"Well your welcomed to stay aslong as you like." Kriege smiled. his googel sunglasses hid his eyes.

"thank you" she stood and looked around the room, her small body glowing slightly," why do you wear glasses when it is so dim in here?"

"I can see quiet alright with theses on...Um I dont think you would like what you saw if I took them off." He smiled sadly.

she laughed, it sounded like small bells ringing,"i have faced many things more shocking and horrifing than anything you can imagen"

He grinned showing sharp teeth. "Oh I doubt that. but I will agree that you've probaly scene things more frightening then myself." a long thin black smoke like ribbion arched out of his angel blade arm and landed on the tabel. it formed into a 32 inch long cetipede. ith raised its self up and looked at isis questioningly. "Oye! come back here you!" Kriege jabbed at the centipede with his angel blade but it skittered away and off the tabel.

"compared to the other side, the things you humans find frightening are no scarier than that centipede" smiling she watched it make its way accross the floor and out of the club

Kriege dove after it. "If it weren't for your perental I would have had you exercised out of me by the First priest I met!" he yelled at the cetipede. there was a loud thud and a groan. kriege must have hit something out side of the club. the centipede skittered back into the club then turnde and chirped angrily out the door at Kriege. "I heard that!" came krieges muffeled voice. the centipede crawled up on to isis's tabel and looked at here with oddly intelegant eyes.

she watched with ammusment as he chases the small creature about, when it came near her she reached a small hand out and patted it on the head," easy now"

The centipede tilted its head to one side and staired at her. your cute.

Kriege came running in and made a flying leap and grab for the centipede. "got you! oops!" he missed and sailed into a group of tabels that toppled over on to him with a loud clatter. "ouch...."

she looked down at it,thats high talk comming from one such as your self.
she glanced over at the man laying in the tables," you ok?"

Kriege muttered something that sounded like "I'll kill the little bugger."

whats that supposed to mean? the centipede sounded indignent.

The centiped squeeked unhappily. I was just trying to be nice...

krieg lay under the tables muttering angrely. this last accedent seemed to have addled his brains a bit.

she looked down at it her look sofening slightly, i know you were, and you did a good job"
worried slighly that the man was still undre the table she care fuly walked towardes him

Leave the big paluka he's fine. if blessed silver bird shot couldn't kill him then I doubt hes in any danger at the moment the centiped crawled up besides isis ans reared up. it opened its pincers and small little black tentacles came out. it looked like he was sticking his toung out at Kriege. hey wanna see something beautiful?

she looked ammused at the creatures behavior,you have someting pritty?ahthough she appeared to be interested, her "voice" betrayed her.

Fine If you don't want to see it I'll go look at it by myself. the centipede sounded hurt. it skittered away and out on to the patio. it crawled on to the wall and made its way to the roof where it 'sat' gazing up at the millions of bright stars. the moon being in its new phaze gave no light to dim the star brightness.

always so sensitive she grummbled to her self.. and followed the centipede, "they sure are pritty"

the centipedes form began to blur. it took on a human aperiance. It became taller. the hair on its head was militaryseque short and bright white. the face was thin and the eyes were pools of black like the space behind the stars above. a pair of bat wings sprouted from his back when they were folded they were almost as tall as he was. he wore no shirt but had on a pair of black pants.

she watched scilantly as the change took place and waited

He turned and lookes at isis "never judge a book by its cover" he was just slightly taller then she was.

" the cover always provides a glimps of what the pages hold, some covers are clearer than others" she smiled at him

"that is not always true." he did not return her smile. "so tell me whats the outside world like?"

" it is simple and mundain, a place where people allow insignificant things to rule there lives, not much to it really" as she spoke she looked back up at the sky

"I only have his memories of the outside world. most of them are unplesant." Vlad looked out over the water.

" they are unpleasent becaues they are all that you know..the things the seem pleasent may truly be or they may be lies created to make ones self happy"

"I would not know." a moth flew by and Vlad gently caught it in his hand. he held his hand palm up. the moth sat there. he observed it couriously

" in time you will" glansceing at him she noticed the moth," they make stedfast friends if you treat them well"

Vlad blew gently on the moth and watched it fly away. "A dieing man should not make friends with the living. It only brings pain for both later on."

her ears twitched," thats an interesting thing to say"

"Its the truth thoe." vlad pulled a small reed flute from his pocket and began to play. the melody was soft and haunting.

she listend to the song for a while and then hummed a few bars," thats one of my favorite songs, i have not heard it in ages"

Vlad blinked in suprise. "I didn't know it was a real song. It just came to me while i was out of the angel blade. one time."

" yes its called veritos or truth" she looked at him for a moment and then looked back up at the sky

"what was that look for?'' vlad drew a small silver orb and began to roll it around his fingers.

she shook her head, "its nothing...oh look a shooting star" she pointed to the streak of light racing accross the sky

He watched it go. "the shooting star burns brightest but dies the quickest."

" but they live there short lives to the fullest and thats what matters"

"wish I could be so fortunate."

she looked at him again," well why cant you be? its your life isnt it? live it how you want to"

"Its not just my life. I am bound to Kriege because I am part of him in a sence. his fate and mine are bound together And I will not put him in danger."

"bah, well then knock him up side the head to make him realise that its not just his own life he might be messing up" she looked away

"He has already done enough for me." Vlad tossed the silver orb to isis "Here. its a blood oyster peril"

she cought it and ran her hands over its smooth serface, entranced," thanks....but you dont have to give this to me"

"I want you to have it" Vlad bowed to isis and smiled

Krieges voice yelled up from below. "Vlad! Get your ass down here we got to go!!

"Farewell for tonight isis" vlad faded from view and vanished.

Kriege steped in and looked at the newcomer "Hello"

*The hooded figure stepped languidly from behind the statue. The candles about the room flickered angrily, as if a breeze were threatening their existance. Yet the silence weighed heavy in the room.*

This is a sacred place.

*The tone was harsh and tight, and veiled in mild anger. The figure seemed to move in slow motion. It knelt beside Raven's sleeping form, and one hand snaked out from the confines of the large sleeve. A single talon cut diagonally across Raven's chest, drawing blood.*

*As the figure slowly withdrew, Raven too disappeared. She would awaken later in her own room, Will's shamrock pendant clenched in her fist. The figure then ran its talon over one of the statue's outstretched hands, leaving a dark smear of blood there.*

Kriege felt a dark presance some where but ignored it. a thin black ribbion of snoke began to snaked out of his right arm. he clamped his left hand down on it. "No you don't"

Kriege yaned and streached. the thin ribbion of smoke tryed to escape his arm again. "nock it off you!" he clamped his hand down on it blocking its escape.

Dreams swept her mind, as they did every night.

She ran, and never seemed to get any closer to the goal. Bare feet hit the stones, tearing the soles, leaving faintly reddened footsteps in the long corridors. He followed casually behind, watching the established path and consistently reminding her that she didn't know what the hell she was looking for. Finally, she spun on her heel to face him. "I'm looking for out. I know I'm looking for out." A slight tear graced her cheekbone before disappearing, and he chuckled and grasped her by the shoulders. "Noire, darling, it's not that difficult." A dark humor danced through his eyes, and he flashed teeth briefly as he turned her body. A door shimmered in the wall, and she startled, ready to flee.

He looked at her. Despite the hard stone of his eyes, there was a sadness buried somewhere underneath it all. Noire allowed her hand to drift to his face, quickly and almost unnoticeably. "Grey..." she withdrew her hand, and his mask fell back into place. "It's not over. It's far from over. You'll find what you're looking for, but it won't be what you'd expect." He stared at her darkly, strong hand gripping her arm a little too tightly. Then, the release, and she was pressed toward the door, and she ran, stumblingly.

What the fuck! I told you not to, and you went with them anyway, and everything fell down around me and him and you just looked back with those blank eyes and I realized you were dead inside, you fucker. God. Why the hell did it even... Noire's thoughts exploded, blazing, as she connected with the door, and unconciousness rose to meet her readily.

She awoke a rough ten minutes later, curled on a hardwood floor of a little apartment. The stove was smoking merrily, and warm, plaid furniture, though sparse, greeted her eyes cheerily. The hominess of the place warmed her, and she stood, confused as to where she was.

A small boy with black hair and pale, electric eyes stood next to the stove, little fingers reaching towards the steam. "Seth! Don't touch that!" Noire reached out to catch the little hand, and as their skin touched, she woke, pale and sweating in Will's cabana.

Breathless, and confused, feeling as though she had just come from somewhere she wasn't permitted to be, she stumbled out into the chill night air and across the sand to the club.

Something happened; I know something I'm not supposed to? No, that's not it. It's past. Who cares; what the hell. "GOD!" The last was spoken aloud, and she entered the club, a sullen look on her face.

ooc: Goddamnit, those things take hella long.

Kriege looked up at noire. "Having problems?" the ribbion of smoke made another atempt to escape and failed.

ooc: no worries

She looked around, trying to connect the sound with a face, and finding Kreige's, grunted vaguely. "Nope."

Noire swept over to the counter, seated herself, and eyes locking her fingers, downed the sparking, dark vodka that exploded from her hand in one fell swoop.

Kriege raised an eye brow. this distraction alowed the black ribon of smoke to escape. sa soon as it was seperated from kriege it became a centiped and scuttled to the floor. "Vlad get back here!!!" kriege dove for the centiped nocking tables over in his atempt recapture it.

She quirked an eyebrow at him.


"...What are you doing?"

ooc: Gael, replied.

"Geting part of me back." he crawled after the centiped as fast as he could. giving up he jumped up and on to a table edge. the table over balanced and fell over. kriege grunted as his head hit the ground. he lay there dazed. the centipede climbed up on to a tabel and chittered angrily at the dazed Kriege. it turned its eyes to noire with a courious look

Noire watched the show curiously, and noting the centipede looking at her, chuckled at the tiny creature and gave it a little wave.

hello. whats your name? the centiped raised its self up and cocked its head to one side

She jumped, startled by the voice in her head, and almost toppled backwards off the barstool. Her head swiveled, trying to make sense of it, until she realized, somewhat foolishly, that it was the centipede speaking.

She regarded it coolly, trying to make up for her brief moment of not-togetherness, and replied, "I'm Noire."

the centipede bowed its head slightly. You seem suprised

She watched it, eyebrow raised. The rising awfulness of the dream was sunken to the back of her mind, dismissed by such odd current events.

"Nah, it's all cool."

The centipede scuttled up to noire and sat on the bar near her.

Kriege sat up muttering and shaking his fist at the centipede. "I'll get you for this Vlad." The centipede opened its pincers and several long black tendrils snaked out. it looked like it was sticking its tounge at kriege.

She chuckled at the sight.


At the far end of the counter, a shimmering mist took the form of a small human being, and remained there, barely perceptible to the naked eye, seeming no more than fluctuations in air currents.

Kriege lunged angerly for Vlad. the centiped hopped in to noires lap. kriege slid to a stop. "Now that ain't fair!" the centipede wobbled its head smugly.

The strange, body-shaped air currents made their way over to Noire, wobbling through the room. The air shifted, changing slight breezes from cool to warm, to cool, and back to warm.

The changes were barely noticeable, as were the shifting movements.

Noire, distracted by the display between Kriege and the centipede, felt and saw nothing. The wafting area emanated a brief sadness, and watched her.

Feeling rather tired, she slipped from the seat and wandered over to the sofa, curling into the corner and tapping the hearth, causing the dark flames to burst upward.

"come on get off of her you little bugger!!!" the centipede lazily crawled up on to noires shoulders. and draped around her neck. kriege grumbled. suddenly his head whiped around in the direction of the anomily he could not see it but he could cence it.

Isis woke and slowly made her way down from the roof and tip towed her way in to the club

raven woke in her room and drew a sharp breath, imediatly it felt as though her lungs were on fire, she gasped trying to rid herself of the sensation, but the pain proved to be too much and she blacked out.

Krieges body stiffened. "Vlad stay here." krieges body vanished and appeared in ravens room. he looked at her with concern.

well i think that i am going to be here for a while, she looked at it for a moment,you are like your cover,an anomely

"What do you mean?" Vlad stood befor her in his humanoid form.

she looked him overyour an inconsistency an anomaly somthing about you is not correct

she lay still breathing shallowly, she clenched her hand each time she drew a breath trying to override the pain that washed through her

"Please explaine.'' he cocked his head to one side.

ooc: be back i 15 got to head to my dorm. If the roomies not on I'll be back sooner.

Vlad flapped his bat like wings and landed next to isis. "You are right I am not right. I shouldent exist. chance and maddness came together and created me..I am far from normal.' he grinned out the window.

raven continued to lay still the cut accross her chest oozed blood

Vlad I need to steel you away from you girlfrienfd for a minute. Vlad winked out of existance for a moment and apeared not the bed next to raven.
"Heal her quickly!" Kriege said. Vlad became a small worming band of smoke and entered ravens wound. the wound began to heal rapidly.

as the cut healed she started to breath a bit easyer

Vlad reapeared after all visible injuries healed. "I have done what I can fo her."

"Thank you vlad. go back to your friend now." vlad bowed and vanished.

Vlad raised an eyebrow. he poked Isis gently in the side of her head. "penny for your thoughts."

Isis thought for a moment," i dont know...iam not very creative" hereing voices she turned and saw a young woman talking to a man seated at a booth," who is she?"

Kriege sat down at a tabel by him self he was feeling sulky and bad tempered.

she looked confused," did what work?" she looked around the bar and noticed to two small winged people at the window adn kriege sitting by him self she gave no indcation for knowing any of them.

the metiphorical storm cloud above Krieges head began to actualy physicaly manifestits self. small lightning bolts jumped out of it.

"As i said hes very fond of Miss Raven. and the fact that she seems to be ignoring him and talking to another guy probaly rattles his chains a bit.'' Vlad grinned at Krieges problem.

*he tilted his head slightly, then smirked and shook his head*

"oh I doubt it. thier relationship is wiered at best. I mean if thier not trying to kill each other or when thier not at each others throughts then their....well lets not go into that. Lets just say they go in extremes."

*Quietly, Gael appeared behind Hunter in her usual form, wings tucked neatly behind herself. She rested a taloned hand lightly on his shoulder for the briefest moment, before crossing to the bar for her blood-wine.*

There was a small crack of thunder from the cloud over Krieges head. Kriege pulled out an umbrella and opened it above his head. a small localized down pore began over krieges vicinity. Krieges scowel deepened.

"you seem board." vlad renched his eyes away from the spectical that was kriege and looked at isis.

*he smiled lightly at Gael, hen turned back to raven*

"not at all, just taking it in" she smiled at him and went back to looking out the window

Vlad grinned slyly. he became a centipede again and nipped Isis playfuly on the heal.

The centipede made a clicking sound of amusment. he jumbed on isis back and put his head on her shoulder.But you look so tasty.

Vlad heard what raven said and looked at Kriege. judging by the expresion on Krieges face he had herad it to Oh Fuck this is not good.

she carefuly plucked the bug off her back and placed it o the floor," dont judge a book by its cover"

"I didn't. I judged by its taste." the black tendrils came out of the centipedes mouth and 'licked' the pincers. "You taste as good as you look."

" well iam afraid that your going to be deprived of a meal" she hopped up on to the sill and sat.

Krieges eyes narrowed and he gave Hunter the bird :upyours: as he lowered his arm it slid into its angel blade form. he tapped it agianst the chair which he sat on.

Vlad became humanoid again and sat besides isis on the sill. "i was only fooling."

well, there's probably more than one reason for that, but i wont get into that here.
