Paradise Beach Club is now Open

Sandy beaches, pool tables, bar, booths, food and drink, beautiful scenery, a Small Casino in the basement, and a subtly placed book of beach hooker numbers. The newly licensed club has it all. Stop by and lay in the sun, enjoy the ocean and stay the night in one of the many cabanas or suites available... Or possibly to get totally ratted, cashed, knackered. (Choose your own word.) Enjoy the excellent food, or just chat with friends and enjoy the atmosphere... Indeed, maybe all at once! It’s all good. Feel free to grab a complimentary towel and explore the sun-drenched beaches or fully fitted swimming pool.

Might look ok at the end of the bar or something......only trouble is, I can't decide if it would look better as an olde worlde sailing boat, or a more modern type yacht.

The weather was a bit kinder today so I could go a way into the water to get my wood!

It's a nice looking piece and I thought I'd try and make a model ship with it.....being as we have two seafaring folk coming in here now.

She had been sitting atop the escarpment again, where the near side of the cliffs ran steeply down to the beach. Setting aside the stone she'd been using to sharpen her blade, she tested the edge against her thumb, pleased with the sharp bite of metal. Gazing inland at the "horsehead," her discovery seemed only slightly less sinister by the light of day. Biting the cutlass, she held it between her teeth for the climb down to the sand dunes. She was hesitant to put the piece of steel away.

It was simple in style, three strands of gold in parallel, connected by two vertical pieces which roughly divided the necklace into thirds.

"It's yours, luv. Simple, but that gypsy can conjure up some jewels if that's what ya fancy."

She grinned amusedly and started on a fresh glass of rum.

*he had spent the day on the cliffs...watching...waiting. and now another night beside the fire. his food was meager, but enough to get him by for a while. the alcohol was exhausted. he wanted some...a lot...but still, he knew he would be stronger and more aware in the coming days without it. and probably a whole lot snippier...meh*

*he poked the fire. the relative warmth was nice, but the ultra-dense fog it had created was...well...creepy, to say the least. he could sense that snow would be falling before daybreak*

By the light of the moon, she stalked about the beach house collecting lengths of rope and a few lanterns. There was still much to do before tomorrow's excursion, and she wanted Derelict fully prepared to make way. It would be much harder if they missed the low tide mark and had to dive to the opening of the caverns..

Once supplies were collected, her next task would be to secure some emergency provisions. And after that, her cutlass must be battle-ready, and her extra powder and shot prepared. Yes, there was much to do.

Tiredly, she rose from her cabana and set out for her sloop. Every inch of her had to be scrubbed as final preparation. If there were repairs to be made, now was the time rather than under sail with an inexperienced crew. Singing the lyrics of "Haul away Joe" quietly to herself, she made way for her hidden natural harbor. She was quite surprized to find a fine yacht in good repair tied slightly down the beach.

"Well, well.. what do we have here?"

Slowing as she approached, she examined the boat with a seasoned eye. She had even considered climbing aboard, but a man suddenly peered over the railing and glared hard at her. Deciding it was too early for a decent confrontation, she grinning mockingly and waved at the gent before continuing on her way.

*Ju wanders into the club. wearing trousers, shirt and has two katana's strapped to his back. Looking around, he leaves a note on the bar.

After what seemed like hours, Derelict was finally ready. Jayne headed back to her cabana to dress in full sea regalia, as was her custom for undertakings of this nature. She wore neutral linen pants under a pair of well-worn sea boots. A loose white shirt with plenty of space in the sleeves. The long blue vest which housed her shot and powder in its inside pocket. The scabbard belt lay crossways over her chest. Her long sash wound around her waist. And finally a bandana tied around her head to keep stray hairs at bay, over a pair of large, freshly-aquired gold hoop earrings. This of course in addition to her usual effects.

Grinning with anticipation, she made way for the beach house.

As they worked at the anchor, she shoved the rail to move the ship into deeper water away from the shoal. Hauling herself aboard, she began climing the ratlines up the mast.

"It's easiest if you pull together," she called down to them, and then offered a cadence. "Heave! ...heave!"

Carefully, she climbed out onto the gaff as the ship started to drift seaward. Here, she untied the stays to unfurl the sails. Once the gaff sail was set, she'd use halyards to drop the forward jib.

*Orchid and Ju start to pull at the rope together, in time with Jaynes rhythmic 'heave heave' and slowly the anchor starts to rise.*
