Upon hearing the remark about Murdocks wound healing quickly she chuckled

"Fuck!" Kurt suddenly yelled out in the research centre lobby, causing everyone to look around. "I am so fucking stupid, we don't need to encure the wrath of the Norns." He turned around and looked at the other two. "We can find out the history of the 'Pantera' instead."

"It;s not reall self harm, as since the blade is sharp I only feel a little bit, and the cut doesn't last more than a minute. I've had a few injuries that were bad, and I got scars from those, although they are kind of hard to see anymore." she said scratching Haush's head.

After walking around through the garden maze of the governor's palace, they had come across a small house.

"Maybe we should go inside before those things that appear to be falling from the sky land on our heads..." said Alex as he swayed and attempted to keep his balance. "Whoa...Did I drink something?"

Unable to keep himself up, his legs finally went limb and he wobbled starry eyed at Jenna, who was in front of him. Sensing what would inevitably happen, Alex falling forward towards her, she took the initiative and grasped his shoulders and slowed his decent down onto the couch, where she had positioned themselves in front of.

The bartender slowly turned around and smiled. But his smile was one that would rip someone's head off. Alex flinched as he caught sight of the bartender.

"Oh, family secret, sir." said the bartender in a monotone voice. "I'm glad you like it...Heheh...Shall I prepare another round for you?"

"Yea..." mumured Alex. Who shuddered again as the bartender turned around.

"He's freaking me out...Only noticed him now..." whispered Alex, in Jenna's ear. "So how about once we get our drinks we go check out that maze over there in the garden?"

Murdock had managed to escape from the other two as they went for the bar. He had ascended a tree, and glanced in the window, seeing Val and Salazar talking. He leaned back into the tree, and spoke to himself quietly.

"Look what you've done, they've been given special powers, and what did it do to them? It has turned them into mindless killing zombies. Val is obviously the worst of us all, all she cares about is killing. How can we try to save the universe if she is focused on killing anything in it?" He said to himself.

"Salazar is no where near her condition, but still he likes to destroy," He said. "I can't say I've really talk to the others lately so I don't know what they are like. I know that our futures are predicted, but still, why does Val act like this? Is she destined to fall to evil, and be consumed by it. Is she destined to be our enemy?"

He looked around, and then turned back to the sky. "Why must I off all of us be the one who is in the leader position? I have no leading abilities! I never wanted to be this anyways, I wasn't given a choice it was forced upon me! I have no idea why they chose me to save the universe! I am no where near ready to ever do it! Damn you heavens! Damn you all for this curse you've put upon me! Am I your plaything that you fool with!? Why must I bear the pain that you cause!"

Salazar was not given those powers by anyone, they were in his genes and maybe you and the others are the same." Master Elanessë stroked his beard and appeared to meditate for a moment. "Perhaps these who claim to have given you your powers are just using you and the others as pawns for their own needs, searching for those who display powers whether active or dormant. If what you say is true then running away will not help them and for this Valerie, it could be her unltimate destruction."

My dad is the Emperor of Coreworlds, but he knew it took hard work to get people to even trust him as Emperor, much less follow him into battle or accept his budget proposals. But by making hard decisions along the way, including sacrifice, the public has come to trust him, even with their lives if necessary. It's a solemn duty to take the stick and lead people in the right direction, my friend, and in the end, all you can do is hope for the best."

"Besides, if you're unfit for leadership, people won't follow you in the first place." I smiled.

What bothers me the most is how one of them acts, even though she supposedly fights for good, she acts like an agent of evil. I don't trust her, and suppose she probably doesn't trust me."

He sat down, and looked into the sky. "I guess if I am the chosen one to lead, then I must be the one who will become the leader. I was destined to lead, therefore they are destined to follow me. Or at least that is what I expect, but who knows with destiny and such."

He laid back onto the ground, putting his hands behind his head. "Still, I need solitude. I need to regroup my thoughts, any where, any place. I just need a break from this all for a short amount of time to gather together myself, figure out me. I've been so wrapped up in this all I've forgotten who I am."

"You will have to work with her, help her get over any emotional problems she may have," Master Elanessë suggested.

"Emotional problems?" Murdock said with a chuckle. "Never thought that she might have emotional problems. I just assumed she was overwhelmed by her powers."

"One that takes pleasure inself harm does indeed have deeprooted emotional problems," Master Elanessë told him. "However, perhaps her powers aren't helping her and are in fact sinking her to new depths."

Valerie rose from her stool, and started walking away from the bar. Haushinka followed her as they stepped outside and started heading towards the woods.

"I hope so," Murdock said glancing around. "I mean I am just starting to catch up with everything around me. The past like four years of my life have all just been a dream really, I never thought any of this was true. Murdock looked at Elanesse and Daniel for a moment, then rubbed his forward and sighed. "And that person would be me most likely. Alright I'll go follow her."

He stood up and went after Valerie.

Your supposed to protect the universe, not become the evil in it. After walking around through the garden maze of the governor's palace, they had come across a small house.

He turned around and started walking off back to the palace. "As for being raised up to enjoy pain, I really pity you for not fighting against it. Its a shame that no good is left in your mind."

He'll make a fine leader for them, and she rolled her eyes. she reached into her cloak and pulled out her pistol, and aimed it at him, but decided not to shoot. Holstering her pistol she walked further into the woods. She began thinking about it, and remembered about the attack, and thought, well, since he seems to want nothing to do with me, I'll just see what I can find out about these enemies of ours, and she started heading back to the palace.

"You know, once we're there we'll have to split up into smaller groups to avoid attracting too much attention towards ourselves," Salazar said. He was leaning against a wall, looking out the window, watching for Murdock and Val.

Murdock walked out of the woods, and started up for the palace, seeing Salazar in the window. He turned back around and looked in the woods. He couldn't see Val or her beast anymore.

Making those accusations and then walking away, was a really immature way to handle that, next time you have an issue with someone at least have the maturity level to stay until your sure you have the right impression of them." She could smell Murdock break into a sweat, and his face started turning red. She twisted her neck and it made a loud "POP!" noise.

"Sure, if you want me too," she pulled out her Dessert Eagle and aimed at his heart. She squeezed the trigger until the catch let the slide go, and the firing pin struck the priming cap on the .45 cal bullet causing the pistol to emit a loud bang, and the top of the gun slid back, ejecting the shell. The bullet sped into his chest penetrating his heart, leaving an exit wound the size of a small orange.

Murdock was hit, and stumbled back. "Boy...yo..you...you weren't kidding were you?"

He dropped to his knees, putting his hand on his chest. He swallowed hard and stared at the ground, shivering, he then looked back at Val with a wide mouth, but then he managed a smile. "Death is a pleasant thing you know...some...sometimes a person who never appreciated life learns alot from death. I think you could learn a lot if you yourself died...but I cant do anything about that...ca...can...can I."

He turned and looked at Sal, his skin extremely pale, his face was covered in a freezing sweat. "Goo...Goodbye...Sala...Sal..."

He then fell forward onto the ground, letting out his last breath. His eyes went blank, and his body remained motionless.

Val looked at Murdock as he fell to the ground, she watched as his blood and bits of organs sprayed the room. She didn't feel any remorse, he had asked for it. She held on to the pistol and looked at the others in the room as they looked at her in horror.

Val continued looking at the others, as she loosened her grip on the pistol, but held it firmly enough to where she could still shoot someone if the need rose.
"I told him I would kill him if I saw fit. If he didn't think I would kill him, then he was an obstacle that needed to be taken care of. I took care of him," she told the others, forming no expression on her face.

she continued walking for the guard, she got within reaching distance, and grabbed the barrel of his weapon with her free hand and twisted it so he would drop it. With her other hand she hit him in the head with her pistol. Haushinka takled the other guard and tore his jugular vein out, spraying blood everywhere.

OOC: sorry to be difficult, but I didn't really see more than two guards responding to that that situation that quickly, because everything would be all screwed up with guards injured during the earlier battle and others running about securing the area. Perrimeter defenses would be able to respond to a problem quickly, but if they are actually doing their job no more than two would respond that quickly, now I was anticipating more coming right after that, in which she would have made a break for it. I also wasn't anticipating those weapons being stun weapons. Regular weapons would be dealt with easily cause of her powers, but stun weapons cause major problems, so I think anyone in that situation would have complied. Sorry if it seems like I'm just trying to talk my way out of it, but I honestly would have responded different if I had known what exactly I was facing. agin sorry about that. I heard the sound of zats, and apparated inside. I felt death, people dying. A woman (or girl) has just killed two men single-handedly. I stopped cold when I saw Murdock's body, and walked over to him. Analyzing, I concluded that he died from the bullet in the chest wound, and closed his eyes in mourning. Valerie is more dangerous than we thought. By killing this boy, not much older than me, she has triggered a chain of events that will change what was meant to be. This I know.

I stood up hand in a pocket, like a detective. "So, you truely are a killer, Valerie."

Kurt looked down at Murdocks body and then at the unconcious form of Valerie. His eyes then drifted over to the bodies of the two guards.

"Take her away, lock her up in the maximum security cell," he told the surviving guards, who were now being joined by more guards rushing in to help. "Charge her with one count of murder of a civillian and two counts of killing palace guards."

"As you wish your highness," the guard closest to Kurt said.

The guards then put electronic handcuffs on her and took her away.

I narrowed my eyes, now knowing what to do. It's not for vengence or even justice. Being a killer, what must truly release her soul is someone who's willing to shed her blood without hate and without the cry for vengence in his heart. JWolf won't be appropriate, because he's too strong. It'd have to be me against her. Fighter against fighter. Nothing quaint like honor or justice. Just kill or be killed.

I took my lightsaber off, and sent it on a table far away. I plunged into a special pocket that I had tailor-sewn into all my field pants, like what I'm wearing now. In the pocket is a pouch containing two types of sharp objects: shuriken and kunai, in different sizes. I picked out a large kunai, running the blade across my thumb to check it's sharpness, and it left a thin line of blood. Satisfied, I held it with the tip outward, ready to strike or throw.

I blocked the shuriken and watched her leave. Frontal attacks are useless.

I took out my own shuriken, and threw a couple of them towards her direction, before taking to the trees myself, hopping onto the lowest branches. I then slinked into the leaves, watching for signs of movement.

She scanned the area, and heard him breathing, in a tree that was about 50 ft NW. She slowly climbed down and used whatever cover she could to get to him. She saw him on the lowest branch of a tree, and shot her dart at him, hitting him in the lower arm. She pulled out her knife, and ran behind a tree.

(yes she has heightened senses, the healing thing, and animal communication.)

OOC: Kewl. Oh yeah, make sure that you say you aim for a body part. It's my choice to say whether it hits or not. I'll let the arm attack slide, but the next time it happens, I'll immediately call it as a failed attack.

"Damn, she got me." I muttered dryly, as the poisoned dart pricked me. I concentrated, willing the poison to break down into harmless byproducts and pulled out the dart. I smirked as I stretched out my feelings, sensing her aura. I then made a couple of hand signs, muttered a short chant and popped away into higher branches.

Soon, I was sneaking on the floor of the forest towards her, moving quick as a wolf.

IC: Val had heard him doing some sort of chant, and knew it wasn't good. She knew she was at a dissadvantage without Haushinka, but she could try to rely on other animals. She heard him coming, and threw a rock at some bushes behind him to throw him off. She then ran for him while he was turned and attempted to grab him in a choke hold with her Knife. Holding a dart in her teeth, and shooting it at his neck if she failed.

EDIT: and sneaking and quick don't really go together.

"I" disappeared in a puff of smoke as the dart hit the neck. A trick, as two other clones of me (one real) dropped down upon her from above in a sudden attack. It's called Kage Bunshin no Jutsu aka the Art of the Doppleganger. Creates clones of myself that can attack. My strength is divided equally among the clones, so that it'd be hard to find the real me. My clone and I therefore attacked her at the same time, but one fatal hit for my clone and it's smoke.

OOC: Heh, but this is getting good! and guess where I got this trick from.

IC: Val took her knife and blocked the attack, and reached into her cloak, and hit the clone in the head with it. As it dissapeared into a puff of smoke, she took off running and holstered her pistol. She climbed a nearby tree, to gain her bearings.

Not bad. I thought, and started tree-hopping after her. I aimed a couple of shuriken towards her to distract her, then used telekinesis to add rocks to the distraction while I prepared for the real attack.

IC: Three shurikens hit her in the leg, she pulled two of them out and jumped down from the tree, and pulled the third, adding them to her collection. Her leg hurt for for a minute, but healed itself rapidly.

Knowing I had to act quickly while she healed, I sent a burst of lightning towards her as she landed on the forest floor, enough to paralyze the nerves. Then I threw a kunai towards Val. Next, I followed up with an apparate, then a hard kick.

She got kicked in the face, and spat blood. She took a sweeping at his legs and drew her knife, as she stood up from the sweeping kick.

I jumped over the sweep, flipping backwards on my hands and then back on my feet, drawing my original kunai to oppose her knife. Then I struck, aiming for her neck.

I blocked the dart with a mid-block, then struck my kunai lower, towards the heart.

Finding myself on the grass, I grabbed the hand that held the knife before it could sink in, sensing that her wound is serious, but not quite fatal. Looks like this is it for her...

I concentrated energy in the palm of my other hand, and released it as Force Lightning to get her off me.

She saw his hand begin to glow, so she rolled off of him, thew shuriken at his arm, and readied a dart.

I winced in pain, and the shuriken were pulled off, and I decided I could wait till later to heal. I had to finish this off, first.

I fired off another crackling bolt of electricity at her, deadlier this time.

she could smell the ozone coming off at this one, as she sat against a tree and winced in pain. When he took a break, she sho ther dart at his neck, and got up, running at him with her knife in one hand, and pulling at the Kunai with the other.

I dodged the dart, then as she came up with the twin blades, I stepped to the side and grabbed the kunai arm in a movement that turned into a throw. Then I used my kunai to stab downwards for what I hope is the final blow to the chest.

He stabbed her in the left breast, and she grabbed his arm that was holding the Kunai. She then brought her Knee forcibly into the family jewels.

IC: Ow. That hurt. That really hurt. The most embarrassingly painful thing to happen to me in a while. I had to use the Force to clear it, but for a few seconds, I was paralyzed with pain from the nuts and rolled off her.

IC: she rolled on top of him and brought the knife, once again, to his throat and made a small cut across it, not enough to kill, just enough to say I win. As she sat on top of him, the Kunai, still in her body, dripped blood.

"I win," she said as she stood up, "you can do as you wish, I have clearly won, but spared your life." She tore the Kunai out of her body and threw it at the ground, the wound closing up shortly there after.

Just a bit later, I was cleared of the pain and then left the forest without her.

"I must say, she was kinda cute, except for that whole 'killing all the time' thing." I smiled to myself, healing my own wounds with the Force.

Having no where to go, she decided to catch up with him, and head back to the palace, besides, she needed to get Haushinka back.

"Hey wait up!" she said, coughing up a little blood.

"Well, you beat me." I said with my arms resting behind my head, as she caught up with me. "But I would like you to promise something, if you haven't already. I would like you to promise never to associate with another mercenary group again, and to stop belittling your own life and the lives of others so much. Life is never pointless, no matter how much you think otherwise. You should know this, as one who can speak and listen to animals. It's not when you die that's important, because all life dies, but it's how you live that's the more important thing. You cared about Haushinka, that's an important thing. To care, even if it's just one person or animal, you had to be able to live."

"Fair enough," she said "I'll forsake my country, I'll guess I'll need a new place to go, and pretty much everyone but you is out to get me at the moment, so I guess I'll have to stay in pretty close proximity of you for a while."

I'll have to deal with it." after this she kissed him, as they reached the edge of the woods, but still out of sight from the palace, especially working up the charm for him, in hopes that he would help defend her even more than he already was, when they got back. Haushinka looked at him distrustfully, but didn't do anything because of what Val had said earlier.

Once Salazar returned, Kurt and Quatre walked out the palace with him and headed down to the spaceport. Before they had even arrived at the palace gates, they could see that the colony was clear of the attackers. Eamonn walked up to them.

"Eam, go get the others," Kurt told him. "Tell them we'll meet them in the spaceport."

Eamonn nodded and run up to find the others.

"Kurt do you think we should be using the 'Ayreon?" Quatre asked. "It might be that they know that ship now."

The prince nodded. "Perhaps your right," he contemplated and looked skywards. "An ex-spacefleet ship would look suspicious, I guess we'll have to find an alternative ship."

I blushed when she kissed. Well, even killers can have hearts, but I still can't let my guard down. Actions speak louder than words, and she will have to be watched carefully. I'll suggest 24-hour guards to be around her, too. But if Kurt insists, there's nothing I could do.

He and the others soon made it to where the shuttle was and opening the doors, they stepped inside. The prince settled himself down in the pilots seat while Salazar hid himself off at the back.

"You got any idea where we could get another ship from?" Quatre asked.

Kurt just shook his head. "We'll have to come up with a way," he said. "Right now we'll wait for Eam to find the others and bring them here."
