OOC: Just did.

IC:

Brian waits in his mind for another attack to happen. He feels one starting to form in the back, and stalls for it to happen. As soon as he feels the rush of its power, he wraps the whole of his mind around it, stopping it from proceeding and trapping it. He bends it to his will, forming his own probes to test the mind of his attacker. He doesn't wait; he launches himself into Katrina's mind. Not enough to do damage, but enough to surprise her for a split moment, enough to let him in. He moves around her mind, trying to find something worth exploring. A smirk grows on Brian's face as he touches her memories, as she did his.

As brian explores katarina's mind and accesses her memories, she stiffens, one thought running through her head "Oh god, no nononono, what if he finds.... IT?

in brians explorations, he comes up against a wall, a wall in prismatic black. It closes off an are of space completly, there is however, a small crack with a silvery thread running from it....

Brian looks at this wall, somewhat confused. The rest of her mind did have their blockings and guarded areas, but this part of her mind was completly shut off from the rest of her mind. A buried past perhaps. Something she wishes to forgot obviously.

A little flash catches his mind's eye. Brian looks at this silver lining, wondering why it is there is this wall of black. Perhaps a trick, perhaps not. Brian decides to probe other areas of the black wall for the moment. What does it hide?

Joshua slowly edges away from Phoenix.

((Phoenix has issus somedays))

The wall seems stiff, unyeilding. It does not reveal any information, it merely resists. the closer Brian looks, the more he sees the signs of gradual erosion, pocked stone, pitted metal, cracks in the rock. It seems as if a single thrust would open wahtever is inside.

Not wanting to open up something he does not know about, or could possibly not be able to control, Brian heads back to the silver lining. When he gets back there, he looks at a little closer. The smirk from his face is gone. He now starts to probe the silver lining, hoping that a flood of thoughts wouldn't overwhelm him or Katrina. He wanted them to come slowly, so he had time to see them fully, and realise why they had been buried inside her. He starts probing her black section.

Lana watched with interest as Katerina and Brian battle it out. She wondered if there will ever be a time that she had the same kind of ability.

Only if you stop making stupid mistakes, she berated herself.

"God damn it is this room full of the hard of hearing. Help me up damn it," Phoenix says still unable to move

Lana walks over and helps Phoenix up, after a bit of a struggle.

"Thank you," Phoenix says to Lana as he tires to regain controll of his motor functions.

Domino walks over to Pheonix again and backhands him before he is able to move again. :twisted:

Lana turned to Domino. "Why did you feel the need to do that?"

Quickly Phoenix back hands Domino. "I didn't need your help now don't make me go Elite on your ass," Phoenix says with a smirk

Lana sighed and walked away. There seemed to be far too much violence in this place for her liking. She retook her seat, and watched.

At this point the door very quietly opened and Adrian stepped in, almost siolently. He nodded to Qui and took a seat at the back of the room, in between the two from Phalanix and Lana and Elaine.

OOC: Any chance of him learning anything in Manipulations? If Qui looks at him he'll notioce a lot of hidden potential, both magical and psychic. It's the same with Eclipse, and their sister.

Phoenix just rolls his eyes and walks out drging Joshua laughing at how Qui kicked Joshua's sorry ass

Adrian watched Phoenix go, muttering something about the boy needing an ass-kicking.

Lana turned to Adrian and smiled. She watched as Phoenix and Joshua left. I expect there's going to be another fight there.

Adrian turned to look at Lana, as if he could feel the smle on him, and gave her a warm, friendly, smile back. He didn't take his eyes off her after that.

Lana felt Adrian's eyes on her. She started to feel uncomfortable. Is there something wrong with me? She turned back to face him with a puzzled look on her face.

He saw the look on her face and shrugged. What?

Lana whispered, so as not to disrupt the class. "Why are you looking at me like that?"

Kelly runs over to Phoenix and Joshua. She suddenly slaps Phoenix and slaps Joshua. "Why do you two go and f--kin beat each other up?" Kelly shouts at them.

He looked down at the floor and mumbled something unintelligible.

... I wonder how she ... Oh wait, she's taking manipulations, never mind.

Lana felt a bit guilty when he looked at the floor. "I'm sorry. I just wondered why you were looking at me. I thought I might have grown another head or something." She smiled.

"No," he whispered back. "Although from what I've seen, around this place, anything is possible."

Mental world: As Brian nudges the silver thread, it moves slightly, vibrations starting. As they move towards the structure, they become amplified, and the wall starts to shake, crumble, disintegrate. An incredibly powerful, dark, force lashes out towards brians mind, grabbing at it. As this happens, a black cloud spreads out from the destroyed wall, spreading over Katarina's very being.

Physical world: Katarina stand with her eyes closed, battling brian, seeming almost relaxed and calm. Suddenly, she stiffens and opens her eyes, which glow red. Grinning, she resumes the battle with Brian.

Lana just stopped herself from laughing out loud. "I know what you mean. It's a bit daunting when you first arrive." She shot her eyes to the retreating figures of Phoenix and Joshua. "Not to mention violent."

Phoenix shouts in Lana's mind I heard that!

"Yeah. I'm Adrian Ravenstar, technically a guest here, although I'm on extended leave from the Haraki marines for some stuff ... I guess I'm gonna be hanging around here for a while. You?"

Lana giggles as Phoenix's words enter her head.

"I'm Lana Farrell." She smiled and extends her hand. "I'm here as a student. I'm taking Manipulations and AC. And I admit not to be looking forward to the AC class, as I believe I will probably get my butt kicked."

He took her hand and kissed it. "Well, I expect it's not the job of the teachers to kill the students, so I expect you don't have much to worry about. Besides, my sister helps teach AC, I'll tell her to watch out for you."

Plus, I'll probably be there...

Lana smiled, but still looked concerned. "So, the lessons don't include one on one with the other students?" A light suddenly dawned in her eyes. "I've met your sister. She was the first person I spoke to when I arrived."

Hopee you like AC with my brother. Phoenix says in Lana's mind Also sorry for his rude nature.

"I think they might. No idea. I haven't even slept here yet. I mean, I haven't even seen the room I'll be staying in yet ..."

Hearing the comment about Eclipse, he smiles warmly. "Great!"

Lana looks slightly concerned at Phoenix's words, but she decides not to worry.

"I haven't slept here yet either." She laughed. "But I think that was just nerves. The rooms are nice though. They have everything you need. I was impressed."

As the wall collapses, Brian's probes in Katrina's mind are engulfed with a swirling black cloud. It surpirses Brian, as he was not expecting something of this nature to happen. The black cloud starts to swirl in his own mind. He retreats some back into his mind, trying to throw blocks in the path of the cloud, stopping it from entering his mind. The cloud was stronger than anything he encountered before in her mind. He was struggling some to hold it back, wade through it, and see what was behind the cloud.

He didn't see her smile, or her eyes flash the brilliant red.

He sees the expression on her face at Phoenix's words and his brow furrows. "What is it?" he asks quietly.

Lana laughs. "Nothing's the matter. I just think Phoenix is trying to worry me." She pulled a funny face. "I won't lose any more sleep over it."

Adrian laughed. "Well, I hope your nerves let you get sleep, even if it's only so that you can lose it again to Phoenix."

A dozen piercing lances of darkness, each 10 times stronger than any of her prior attacks, speed towards brians mind, pounding on his defences.
Following the lances 8 grasping tendrils come, attempting to seize brians mind.

"I figure the worse that can happen is me dying, and around here, that seems like second nature." She smiled. "To be honest, I'm so tired I could sleep through an explosion."

Adrian smiled and chuckled. "From what I've seen, dying doesn't seem like a very big hindrance around here. And I also think you should get some sleep, if you're that tired."

That can be aranged Phoenix says in her mind Na I'm just messing.

Qui: Good Brian...Katrina. End the session now..*he said with a slightly mischevious smile. He was up to something.* You two have done wonderfully...but I can sense that this battle will end up going back and forth. Joshua?!? *He leaves the room for a second and pulls in Joshua by his collar, dragging his feet on the ground. He sets him down and smiles.*
Phoenix...don't let him leave the room...alright? :lol:

Qui: Joshua...would you be so kind to assist this class? *he didn't wait for an answer.* Of course you would... *looks at the students in the room* Implanting ideas in others minds and changing their moods is not all that manipulation is about. Once skilled enough, and through much practice...one is able to control others movements or actions to a certain degree....Joshua and I will demonstrate...*he looks at Joshua :twisted: *

Joshua quickly looks for a window

Adrian winced, hearing this, and looked at Joshua with an almost pitying look.

OOC: My OOC comment to you still stands, Rave.

Lana starts to worry that Phoenix may have it in for her.

She then turns to watch the demonstration.

As Qui speaks of "Ending the session", Katarina raises her head. Snarling, she launches a jet of SoulShadows in his direction, and continues to attack brian, redoubling her efforts.


ooc:Soulshadows are the essences of lost souls, they latch on to any being they can, attempting to drive that being insane. When wielded as a controlled weapon, they are fearsoume indeed.

To Adrian's surprise, he could see the soulshadows launched at Qui, and before he knew it, he'd thrown out his hand and a large, black psychic wall slammed up in between Katarina and Qui, blocking the soulshadows - for now.

((Well I hope there is one or Joshuha will make one. lol))
Joshua suddenly got up and ran throuh a window and dove to the ground.
"Wow he really dosn't like you," Phoenix says smirking

Lana watched the proceedings in stunned silence.

Qui: They are trying to latch on to a living being and I'm afraid that will not find any life in me..*a white light engulfs them and they scream in pain and death. Light against dark. Most would have thought Qui was one of darkness...he was...he just couldn't ignore his mother's blood in him...that of an angel.* I said stop! *he stepped in front of Brian sheilding him from the attack and reversing it immediatly back at Katrina. He sent a pulse toward her...enough to through her back* I may have expected this from Joshua..but I do NOT expect it from YOU. *his eyes glimmered crimson and the room seemed to become darker* I said...stop...*he said* that's enough...if you go any farther...you may harm the boy...that's enough..*his tone was softer. He sees Joshua scurry away through the window...not realising that Qui had thrown the orb out there before class. A large explosion is heard from Joshua making contact with the orb*

Qui: The poor boy never learns. *he jumps out the window..two stories, and picks up Joshua, whom just was caught in a minor explosion. His hair was messed up. :lol: He threw him back through the window...now he really wasn't going anywhere. He closed the window behind him and smirked slightly. He looks at Phoenix* No...he really doesn't like me. :twisted:

"Son of a bitch," Joshu says as he suddenly getts back up and spears Phoenix in the gut and sprints down the hall.
"Ok He really hates you," Phoenix says laughing now

Qui: :lol: *Qui laughs...this was extremely entertaining* Eh...I'll get him later....*He thinks for a bit and his eys light up with an idea as he sees Phoenix* Phoenix...would you care to assist me? *he smiles*

"As long as it dosn't involve me doing extremly painful and stupid things," Phoenix says

With a loud, mental shriek of anger, Katarina extends her hand towards Adrian.
Inside his head he hears "That was your last mistake

The floor beneath him liquifys, and hands of molten rock reach up, grabbing at him, attempting to drag him under.

She gestures towards Qui, the shadows materialize into humanoid shapes, and the grab out at Qui, attempting to drag him into their realm.

To qui, she says: I do not want to hurt him, i merely want to devour his power.

With those words, the color of her eyes changes again, to gold with veins of red.

Adrian looked down at the floor beneath him and smiled. "Not much harder than evading exploding landmines," he said with a laugh, flipping up. Blades extended from his shirt sleeves and he stabbed them into the ceiling, gripping there. More blades extended from the toes of his boots and he stuck those in the ceiling as well.

Instinctively barbed tendrils shot out from his mind at Katarina.

Suddenly Phoenix spears Katarina and atepmts to knock her out.
"Damn this is gona be one hell of a report to wright," Phoenix says

Brian was caught totally offguard. The attacks were so powerful they knocked him out of his chair. The swirling black void in his mind slowly retreated. No one would have known he was tired by the rage building on his face.

His eyes focus on Katarina, and he launches a single attack on her mind with all the power of his mind he can muster. One long probe from his mind spears its way back into her thoughts, building with rage and power the longer its in her. He tries to disrupt her thoughts long enough for Qui or someone with more experience to take control.

katarina laughs as phoenixs weapon hits her shield, shattering into hundreds of pieces. "You shouldent have done that", she says. An invisible force lifts him into the air, slamming him into the ceiling, and then meleding his entire body with the rock, leaving only his nose open to the air.

As adrian leaps upwards, he leaps into the waiting vines of rock above, and they grab him in attempt to constrict him.

Turning to Qui, Katarina says "Ahhh, you have much power, i will enjoy it when it is mine." With these words black, feathered wings unfurl, and she howls in pleasure. Pointing at Qui she says "You are mine"

Qui: Oh..this is really intersting Katrina... and I am someones, but not yours...I am RAVE'S! *he says and looks at the floor. He levitates in the air. An orb forms in his hands as he mutters something. A white light surrounds them all, blindingly. He is shaking as the light subsides. No one had seen Qui use that much power in a long times. His eyes were full of rage. The others were fine, despite temporary sight problems...the floor was iced over, the hands lifeless. Katrina lay there...he had put her in a coma.* I told you to stop Katrina...*He pickes her up and opens the door. He walks down the hall and places her in the medical wing. This was enchanted..in this room...no magic could be performed...certainly Seni's least favorite room. He leaves her an the couch...it would be a while until she awoke, and would awake feeling refreshed and happy...not the bit of rage and darkness he saw in her when she called upon the darkness.* Rest...get well soon...you're the most promising student...*he whispered in her ear and went back to the Manipulations room.

Qui: Do not ever attempt an attack on me unless instructed to do so..*he says lightly.* She'll be fine..just knocked out for a day or so...* He looks at Phoenix* Will you help me with this now? *he smiles*

Adrian sliced the vines off as they came at him, and flipped down to the ground as Qui subdued Katarina. He rolled his neck. "That was entertaining."

Turning her head to brian, she says "Was that supposed to do something?"

Qui: Daja..I need you here...I had to put Katrina in a coma...she'll be fine...but I need you in this room now!

Daja: Already on my way... *sees Joshua running and backhands him along the way*

Phoenix quickly breaks on hand out and gives Qui the finger as a joke and breaks his body out quickly. "Next time she tries something like that. There will be a dead body abd it won't be mine," Phoenix says

"Yes, and it did," replies Brian as the white light from Qui blinds him.

Qui: Don't touch her Phoenix...As much as I dislike these attacks she has made on me...I will not kill a student..ever....and I can't let anyone else do that either...

Adrian, not even out of breath, sat down in his chair beside Lana again. "Really not very hard. You'd think she could spare a more powerful attack or something."

"Because she's a sad little girl," Elaïne muttered to herself.

OOC: Rave, my OOC question was: Any chance of someone noticing the massive psychic and magical potential inside Adrian? He doesn't know it, but, I mean...

Adrian shrugged. "I don't know. Rage, maybe. Maybe Brian pushed her too far."

Qui shook a little. The energy he had unleashed was powerful...he hadn't done that before on a mortal...only on Rave...because she would have been able to handle it. He looked at the others in the room.
Qui: That was interesting..

"Very," Adrian replied with a nod.

OOC: Bear in mind that he doesn't know about the psychic stuff, so someone would have to break it to him.

Qui: I think it best that sessions end today....Katrina is in the medical wing if you wish to see her, bare in mind...go in there with someone who's stronger than her...a teacher, Mar, Daja...don't go in alone. We really don't want anything like that happening again...no magic can be done in that room, but I don't want to take the risk..*his tone was serious*

Lana looked concerned. "I'm lucky she didn't do that to me."

"Hey, don't worry," Adrian replied. "If she had, I..." He trailed off, realizing what he was saying.

"Well that will go on the report as f--ked up," Phoenix says to himself as he walks out of the class room and to the food court.

Kenja: Extremely...*she said to Lana as Kenja lay on the floor and was beginning to get up. She rubbed her eyes, the light had stung badly, but she would be alright.* Damn Qui...can't you tone you're attacks down...

Qui: *laughs* well she started it...*smiles..and turns to Adrian* Did you ever consider taking manipulations?

(ooc: out till tonight..)

Adrian shook his head. "No, never. There's no point in me trying, why would I?" he answered to Qui.

"Hey, don't worry," Adrian replied. "If she had, I..." He trailed off, realizing what he was saying.

Lana looked interested. "If she had, you would have what?"

"I would've..." He shook his head. "Never mind. She didn't."

As she saw Lana talking with Adrian, Elaïne felt her presence could be a problem to what was growing between them. She began to hinder all of her levels of energy. Without anyone noticing, she finally completly disapeared.

So Kenja Joshua is running around the academy somewhere I think you should find him befor he goes and does something stupid

Brian finally realizes the toll all this has taken on him. He is physically drained from Katarina's attacks on his mind. Slowly, he gets up, steadying himself against the wall. Before now, he would not have believed he knew someone who could do such things, let alone he himself being able to do such powerful things.

Turning to Qui: "I am sorry about this. I did not realize what I saw in her mind. I believe this to be my fault. I am sorry."

He slowly makes his way back to his room, intending to sleep and regain his strenght.

Phoenix looks at Brian and turns and walks over to him. "You need any help?" he asks

Lana smiled at Adrian. "Okay. I'm sorry I asked."

Looking at Phoenix: "While I would normally decline the offer, I may need some."

Brian starts to use Phoenix as support, but doesn't quite get there. He suddenly faints and falls to the floor hard.


OOC: Fancy way for me to say I'm not gonna be on till tomorrow. Later all.

Phoenix lifts Brian over his shoulder and starts to carry him towards the medical wing and laughs

Adrian smiled. "Hey, no problem. Let me just say it wouldn't have been pretty. Not like you."

Lana blushed. "You think I'm pretty?" She laughed. "That was an impressive move you pulled back there."

Elaïne walked to the fountain. She looked at her face in the water. She was contemplating her life of loneliness, thinking about how her mother's soul, so much older than hers was so prone at gathering attention.

I guess there is much more in me of Father than I ever thought.

Suddenly, her brother reappeared in her mind as if it had been Lana's presence that had been hindering it since then.

What to expect from someone that powerful? Of course. She just recomforted me.

She sat at the corner of the fountain and began to sing softly. An ancient elvish song, the story of ancient beings long gone. Her eyes were wet.

"Of course you're pretty," Adrian replied. At the sudden topic change, he smiled. "Well ... Lots of training, you know ..."

OOC: Well looks like Calico missed manipulations... I cant post regularly during the day from tuesday to thursday, my schedual is just too busy. so I dont know what to do with him for the class

Lana blushed even more. "Would you like to get something to drink? It's been quite a lesson." She smiled. "Then you can tell me about your training."

She looked around for Elaïne, but noticed she had gone.

Adrian chuckled. "Sure. I don't really know my way around, so I suppose I'll have to follow you."

Adrian had barely noticed Elaine's disappearance, which was rare for him. Not to notice something happening in a room he was in.

Elaïne closed her eyes. She extended herself beyond the world, beyond the Dark Path. She was touching the Barrier.

The only unpassable frontier.

The touch was cold. Darkness were pouring from it, like asking for her very soul but she let it pass through her and nothing happened. She didn't know if any other being could be capable of touching it but that didn't matter. She liked the touch of it. It reminded her of Zacharian and her father.

She opened her eyes, still sat at the corner of the fountain, still touching the Barrier, still sleeping where her brother had let her centuries ago.

Sometimes I wonder if I truly exist.

Lana laughed. "Well, you have found the perfect guide. I've walked around here so many times in the last few days, that I could probably lead us blindfolded."

Adrian laughed, hearing this. "Then I suppose I'm lucky to have found you."

In more ways than one...

Lana joined in with his laugh. "And I'm lucky I found you, because you're paying." She began to lead them to the cafe. Every now and then she looked around to see if she could see Elaïne.

I hope she's alright.

(ooc: her father was someone much similar to Vaughn aka Zacharian, her brother. He could use a magic that let him enter an inter-world space using shadows. He was a non-dead, maybe a vampire but his children don't know. Elaïne's mother, a very wise and ancient Elf, felt in love with him for reason that still elude anyone thinking about it. They decided to have children but couldn't bound, so they 'created' them using two different means, hence their obvious differences. However, as he knew of the inter-world, the people behind the Barrier (the very limit between the two worlds) decided to kill him and all his family. Their men came and tortured the parents while the children were hidden magically by their mother (they were 7/8 at the time). If their mother hadn't had to hide them, their parents most probably wouldn't have died that day)

Adrian laughed. "Fine by me."

He quietly checked his wallet, just to make sure he had money. He grinned, and slid it back into his pocket.

Lana smiled. That wouldn't have worked back home, she thought as they entered the cafe.

"I'll grab a table." She looked around the almost empty room. "And you get the drinks. Surprise me."

Adrian made his way up to the counter and had a hurried discussion with the man there. Then he grinned, handed the man a bill, and made his way to the end of the counter, where he was handed two foaming cups and made his way over to Lana's table.

He leaned in over the table a bit too, and said back, somewhat indignantly, "How could anyone not like you?"

Lana sat back in her chair and laughed heartily. "I don't know. Perhaps I don't fight enough." She sighed. "The only person who's shown any interest in me is Helen." She smiled as she looked into Adrian's eyes. "And now you." She took a sip of her drink.

Adrian leaned back, looking into her eyes and trying his drink. "Then I think they'll hate me. I prefer stopping fights to starting them."

At the comment about taking interest in her, he looked down at the table. "Well, I mean, you know..."

Lana stopped smiling as his sudden discomfort. "Oh, I wasn't implying anything. I just meant you were willing to talk to me."

No wonder people hate talking to you. You say the wrong thing all the time. First Elaïne, now Adrian.

She took another sip from her cup.

The song was finished.

That didn't help much, Elaïne thought as she was still feeling sadness in her very heart.

She moved her fingers in the water, remembering the talk with Lana and she then looked at the leaves.

There is no doubt.

She wondered what her brother would think about all this. She didn't really know if she had to tell him once he's back. "A second life". That's what her mother used to say. Maybe Elaïne simply had to leave in order not to disrupt this new life. But she so much wanted to share a little more with her.

It's not like we had that much time in the first life.

She tried to ignore the images of her mother, on the table, next to her father. She was glad her brother didn't let her see half of it.

But he did see nearly all of it. That's surely why he's so filled with darkness now.

She remembered Lana's words about her friends. She began to think about the people she had met, wondering which ones could still be alive.

None, most probably.

So class was over and Qui was in a complete and utter rage....perfect time to find Joshua...*goes to look for him*

But Kenja found him before. She was out of breath from running..
Kenja: Just to give you a heads up..Qui is on the rampage....he is furious at Katrina...and he's looking to take it out on something...or someone..It would be wise to stay away from his path...

Phoenix started walking towards the cafe to get a coffee.

As Lana let her eyes linger on Adrian, she thought about Elaïne. She couldn't understand why she had left without speaking.

Please don't let my failure in Manipulations be the reason. She must think I don't listen to her.

For the briefest of moments she saw, in her mind's eye, Elaïne standing by the fountain, sad. Before her conscious returned to Adrian in the cafe.

Kenja senes his presense approaching.
Kenja: I think we should go now...best to stay out of his way...*she smiles slightly and heads off toward the cafe to get a coffee...rather quickly.

Elaïne had felt something. She let her consciousness expand and followed the trail of the energy that passed near the fountain.

Damn, if this is someone, he sure knows how to hinder himself.

Her mind walked passed the woods, heading in the coffee.

Lana.

Elaïne was shocked.

I do hope I didn't do anything wrong. Is it safe to unleash her potential? At the rate she's going, she'll end up recovering all of it very fast.

"Ya lets move," Joshua says as he starts to move

Qui was quickly approaching around the corner...Kenja sensed it.
Kenja: Sh^t! *she grabbed Joshua by the wrist and opens a door and crams Joshua and herself in and shuts it. Seconds pass before hard footsteps are heard and someone punching a wall and stroming off. Kenja opened the door slowely. he was gone...or far enough away. She looked at Joshua and the closeness of him..

Kenja: Eh..I erm..uh...heh...

"What?" Joshua says chuckling abit. He then suddenly kisses her on the lips

Kenja kisses him back. *she laughs slightly* What would someone say if they found us in a closet. :P

Adrian let his eyes drift until he was looking into Lana's eyes. "Hey, no problem. How could I not talk to someone as pretty as you?"

He felt a presence behind him for a split second, and then it was gone. He attributed it to footsteps, although he wasn't sure if he had heard any or not.

Domino walks into the cafe and stops bending the light around her. She sees several people look up in surprise when she pops into view and sits down.

Zed walks past Kenja and Joshua, nodding to them both. He heads inside one of the shops and looks around, wondering how funny a six foot three inch tall fully armored(minus helmet) supersoldier must seem when he's deciding which snowglobe to buy.

(OOC well damn. he person I wanted to duel is almost never on, and is having problems. What the hell happened with Qui in that lesson?)

Kain was just an amatuer now in the manipulations, compared to Qui, but he could still feel complex arrays of energys where being cast about. Where all lessons like this..?

Kain to Qui:Is this the regular, or did something unusual happen?I doubt you need it, but I am available to help if nessicery, Mindbreaker.

Adrian let his eyes drift until he was looking into Lana's eyes. "Hey, no problem. How could I not talk to someone as pretty as you?"

Lana smiled, feeling slightly embarrassed. She could feel her cheeks growing warmer. She wasn't used to all these compliments on her appearance.

"If you keep telling me how pretty I am, I don't think I'll be able to get my head out of the door." She laughed. "So, let's talk about you. Tell me about what makes Adrian who he is."

She let her gaze remain transfixed to his eyes. You could drown in them, she thought as she held her cup loosely between her hands.

Kain left the AC room, feeling better, but still unchallenged. He had learned a great deal of his limitations and what skills he could do. Acrobatics where still not a brilliant point, but he was working on it.

He needed food anyway.

Heading towards the cafe, he walked with long confidant steps. He entered the cafe and saw the people in there. He would challenge one of them...he wanted to spar against Phoenix, yet he felt he could not right now. He would have to settle for something else. Perhaps.

Kain to Phoenix:I wish to challenge you to a freindly duel. Close combat, with weapons. Do you wish to show me your abilitys first hand?

During that message he walked over and got himself some "red wine" and sat down by a table. He had it in a crystal glass, and sipped it occasionally. All the while thinking about Rave. And once a flicker of opperunity rose up. What about limbo? Think what it could do...

Kain imagined the possibiltys of the chamber now....speculating..

As much as I don't like being attacked, Katrina is a great student...and I like her...she's in the medical wing right now, but don't go in with out someone who can deflect or defend if she attacks.

Kain to Qui:She thought she could beat you? Arragant....yet powerful. A failing she must be bent out of. Your lesson you inflicted upon her should set her straight to who are the more powerful in this place, Mindbreaker. If she does not, well...she could harm herself in the process.

Kain's voice was humble, yet confidant. He respected the more powerful than himself. And Qui was one of them. Few did earn Kain's respect now.

(OOC Kain will attend AC classes, even though I may not be here to post.)

OOC: Rave, I can do my best, but you have to realize ... I'll be out of town for all of tomorrow, meaning there'll have to be a break in class for that, or something.

IC:

Adrian laughed at the comment, and then at the command, he thought for a moment. "Well ... I don't really know all that much about myself. I worked in the marine corps of Haraki for a while, I'm currently suspended without pay for assaulting a fellow marine, who was currently assaulting a younger recruit. I broke up the fight, almost hospitalized the guy ... He's got some rich general father, and they twisted the words and events. Before you know it, I'm the one supposedly beating up the recruit, this guy steps in, and I almost kill him. That's what he told the higher-ups, so I'm on an extended leave of absence."

A compassionate look crossed over Lana's features. "It doesn't really matter what others think of you, as long as you know that you were doing the right thing." She smiled. "And the truth always has a way of showing itself." She took a sip of her drink. "But it's a horrible thing to happen to you."

Adrian nodded. "Thanks. You're the first person I've ever told that story to who actually sympathized."

Lana looked confused. "Who would not sympathize with you? You were wronged, and the other person lied to save himself. He's just a bully and a coward."

"True. And, he's a bad fighter on top of it all," Adrian said with a laugh. "But most people heard his side of the story before mine, and that's just what they believed. I don't get it."

Lana smiled. "Well, everything happens for a reason. If you hadn't been suspended, we wouldn't be sitting here now."

Kenja kisses him back. *she laughs slightly* What would someone say if they found us in a closet. :P
"Lets hope no one finds us," Joshua says smirking as he kissed her again.

Adrian smiled. "Well, in that respect I'm definitely glad I assaulted a recruit and half-killed a fellow marine," he said with a laugh.

Lana lowered her eyes and laughed. "I'm glad too. Otherwise I would have had to buy my own drink." She ran her hand through her hair, wishing she had tied it up.

Zed smiles as he walks around the grounds. AC. Now he could have some fun.

He looked at his weapons. Doubting missiles and DEMPs would be allowed, he now carried a Karn'da blade, a katana and a dagger.

Adrian chuckled. "Well, what about you? What makes you yourself?"

looking around, she notices her surroundings "What am i doing here?", she thought, "Last i remember, Brian was attacking my mind, and then... Nothing"

"Ughhhh. Hello? is anyone there?" Hearing no answer, she gets dressed and walks in the direction of the A.C. room.

(so, the AC class is today, right? Is it going to be played out as much as yesterday?)

Lana sighed. "I'll only bore you, detailing my fantastic rise through university before entering training in the Imperial Security Dept, where I was put forward to come here." She caught his eyes again in her's. "Well, at least you didn't fall asleep."

He smiled. "Well, then there is something you can tell me other than that. How did you get so beautiful?"

Phoenix continues walking towards the cafe.

Halfway to the A.C. room, Katarina realizes she hadnt eaten anything yet, and heads to the cafe.

Waking up, Brian recalls what happened yesterday. "Wonder what today will be like." he thinks. He gets dressed and heads out to get a cup of coffee and see what the days class is.

Phoenix quickly orders a black coffee and take it and sits down. He tgthen rubbs his eyes.

Lana started to run some strands of hair around her finger. She lowered her eyes and smiled. "Stop funning with me." She raised her eyes to look at his face. "I'm not beautiful. I think you must have hit your head back in Manipulations." She took another sip from her cup to hide her embarrassment.

"If I did hit my head, and if I am hallucinating, please don't wake me up," Adrian replied with a smile, sipping from his cup. He took note of Phoenix's arrival.

Katarina reaches the cafe, nodding hello to everyone as she walks in, and orders a cup of coffe ad a croissant. Walking over to phoenix she asks, "Mind if i sit here?"

Lana notices Katarina's entrance and goes silent. Wasn't she meant to be in the medical wing? She looked back at Adrian and smiled nervously. "You are mad."

"Not at all," Phoenix says as he moves over a bit and yawns

Adrian shrugged. "Probably. But I enjoy being mad, so..."

He notices Katarina and trails off.

Lana looked at Adrian, as he went silent. She knew that he had just laid eyes on Katarina. Her own gaze fell back on the woman that had created this sudden hush.

Katarina sits down and begins to eat her breakfast. She notices Adrian looking at her, and glances around. Seeing everyone stare at her, she says "What, do i have something on my shirt or something?? Why are you all looking at me?"

"No, it's ... Uh ... Ask Phoenix or Qui, or someone. It's hard to explain," Adrian replied with a smile to Katarina.

"Phoenix, whats going on?", she asks

Lana turned back to Adrian. "This is strange."

"Very," he said to her, with a nod, as he finished his drink and looked down at it, disappointed. "Damn ... I'm out ..."

"What? What is strange?", Katarina asks.

"What? What is strange?", Katarina asks.

Domino looks up from her seat. "You don't remember?" She stood up. "You attacked Qui and he put you in a coma. Word to the wise, don't mess with the mind of someone nicknamed the 'Mindbreaker.' It can never lead to good things..."

Brian enters the coffee shop and walks up to the counter, telling the man what he wants. While waiting, he casually looks around everywhere. He sees pretty much all the students are here, in their own converstations. His eyes finally rest upon Katarina. He was surprised to see her up already. He thought about going over and talking to her, but she was busy talking to Phoenix. Maybe later he thought, as he exited and walked towards the pool.

Lana looked over at Katarina, who obviously had no idea what she did. "Leave her alone. Something happened in Manipulations. You started to attack everyone."

"Yeah, leave her. Katarina, you seemed like you were possessed or something, you freaked out and started trying to kill most of us. Qui ... Subdued you."

"....... What? I attacked everyone? Why would i do that? I ATTACKED QUI!?!?!?!?!? What? You must me joking me, your all playing a practical joke, right? right? why... why... why would i attack anyone??"

Adrian slowly shook his head. "No joke. We were hard pressed just to old you back, until Qui stepped in."

Lana nodded her agreement. "You did some weird stuff."

"No, you must be fucking with me....." Katarina sits there, uncertain, stunned, in silence.

Domino looked at her. "You attacked Qui alright. And Brian. Said something about devouring souls... before flipping out totally and trying to kill everyone. Qui stopped you before you could hurt anyone, though."

"We're not," Adrian replied. "This actually happened. Why do you think you woke up in the hospital? Maybe Brian could explain, he was in touch with you at the moment..."

"what, devouring souls, trying to kill everyone? Why....?" She stares down at her hands, uncomfortably.

Lana looked at Adrian and then Katarina. "I don't think he's going to want to talk to her. He didn't seem too good after it all."

"Yeah, but he could probably explain the best of all of us, except for Qui, because his mind was connected with Katarina's at that point." Adrian shrugged. "I dunno. Just an idea."

"This happend while i was doing the exersises with brian?"

Lana grimaced. "Well, I wouldn't exactly call it exercises. Seemed more like a battle of minds to me."

"The training fight, or whatever it was, yeah," Adrian replied.

A flash of recogntion appears on Katarina's face, but quickly she subdues it. "I, I dont understand." she says, but the tone is not the confused, frightened one of before, it is now calculated and forced....

Phoenix's head just falls limp and he falls asleep in his chair.

Kain was in the cafe sitting drinking when he galnced up. He almost laughed outloud. She had got up. Already! Remarkable. Why are those two still talking to her? She attacked Qui and Brian! Kain was puzzled, so he sought out answers.

He took his cup and walked very slowly, and with rather loud steps towards her. His face was grim, and stern.

"You play dangerous games you do. Yet I am somewhat impressed for your abilitys, if you are..foolish. Why did you attack Brian and Qui if I might inquire." Kain's voice was synical and almost that of a teacher talking to a child. Kain was not really angry at her. He was curious why she would do such a foolish act. And, later she might be a threat...

He looked over the others, but stares again at Katarina, demanding answers, yet he kept his conposture, he let only what emotions he wanted shwon.

Lana turned on Kain. "How dare you talk to her like that? Can't you see she's distressed?" She looked over at Katarina. "She doesn't even remember doing what she did. So, back off."

"Kain, you were there. She wasn't herself. She wasn't the person in front of us right now."

I hope...

Brian grabs one of the chairs and sits down in it, gazing at the pool while sipping his drink. Seeing Katarina in there unnerved him a little. He let his mind wander slowly, trying to figure out the echos of her mind still in his. He had never been able to explore so deep into someone's mind before. She was powerful. There was no doubt about that. More than anything I could hope to achieve, he thought. But what was that dark area in her mind still bothered him. "What the f**k are you hiding, Katarnia?"

Lana turned to Adrian noting his empty cup. "Would you like another? My treat, this time."

Lana turned on Kain. "How dare you talk to her like that? Can't you see she's distressed?" She looked over at Katarina. "She doesn't even remember doing what she did. So, back off."

*A flicker of controled rage crept into his voice, yet it was controled. His eyes, glower.*"I do as I please."*he returns to his calm self.* "I only wish an explanation."

"Kain, you were there. She wasn't herself. She wasn't the person in front of us right now."


"Really? Intreging. Then explain why these actions occoured." Kain sat down with them, totally calm.

"I don't know," Adrian said. "I'm no mystical expert."

He turned to Lana. "No, I said I was buying, I'm buying."

He rose and walked to the counter.

Zed enters the AC room and finds it empty. Wondering where the other students are... and the teachers for that matter, he enters and sits down. Shhrugging, he pulls out a candy bar.

Lana watched Adrian walk over to the counter, then turned to Kain. "It makes no difference if you get an explanation or not. This is between Katarina, Brian and Qui." She looked him in the eyes. "Something happened, and there's no point getting all raged up about it."

Kain thought inwardly to himself. It would not amtter anyway. Her life is her own, if she does not keep her actions in check, I will not be held responcible.

Kain rapped his cloven fingers, and he leaned back on his chair in contemplation. After a few seconds, he drank the rest of the red wine he had, placed the cup hard onto the table. He leaned forward with harrowing eyes at Katarnia, one talon pointed at her.

He spoke in a low tone, yet its controlled rage was prominant.

"Keep yourself in check, for your own safety and others. It would be a pity to loose such a ...talented studant, yes?

And with that Kain swiftly rose and walked away, his small cloak flowing after him, he walked to the AC room for his lesson.

Adrian reached the counter, waited a moment, then got handed another two cups, making his way back to his and Lana's table and setting one down in front of her. As he sat down he commented, "I saw you were running low, so..."

Lana smiled as Adrian passed her the cup and took his seat. "Thanks." She finished off the one she already had. "Is it me, or do people get riled pretty quick here?"

"I think you're right. Y'know, that's always been one of my strong suits. I can stay calm over almost anything."

Kain to Lana: I am only protecting her and herself. To attack Qui was a foolish mistake, even under those circumstances. She must control whataver happened there. Control is the key.

Slowly Phoenix was walking through his home town when suddenly he stumbles apon a death camp filledd with his SPARTANs he trained. He saw rebels destorying evrything he vallued. Suddenly he awoke in the cafe.

Domino chuckled at Lana's statement. "I don't go looking for trouble myself, it just sorta follows me about." She smilied and walked towards the door, but dissappeared before she got their. Gotta love light bending and manipulations...

Lana sighed. "Let's make a game of it. Which one of us can last the longest without entering a fight, outside of AC classes, of course."

Phoenix sigheed for a second and whiped the sweat from his face and took a sip of his coffee

Adrian laughed. "Worth a try. I think I'll probably lose, though. Trouble seems to follow me like a bad penny."

Lana looked at Phoenix as he woke up suddenly and stared around the cafe. He must be tired to fall asleep here.

She returned her gaze to Adrian. "In that case, perhaps we should put money on it, especially if the chances of me winning are so high." She laughed.

Adrian chuckled, his eyes meeting Lana's, and not leaving her eyes as he said, "Sure, why not? Although I think you'll definitely win, I really don't care."

Kain walked into the Ac room. He was not alone. There was Zed comping on a candybar. Odd....

He strode in and sat down on the opposite side of the room so he could see him, and see what he was like. His armour. His movements. His face. His reactions. Kain just looked at him for a short while, inbetween servicing what little armour he had. His buckers and his leg-protectors, checking the joints, and making sure no signs of damage where there. There where none.

Not again. Not ever again Phoenix thinks in his head.

Lana's smile was replaced by a mock frown. "Well, if you're not going to try, there's no point. I don't like people letting me win." She smiled. "It doesn't feel like a true victory."

His eyes still hadn't left hers as he said, "I didn't say I wouldn't try, it's just most likely that you'll win."

Lana laughed as a thought popped into her head. "We could draw. We may annoy each other so much, that we end up fighting."

He laughed. "Wouldn't that be ironic, eh?"

"Hey, do you know when AC's supposed to start?"

"Today some time," Phoenix says

Lana looked slightly unsure. "Now, probably." She got up from her seat. "I guess we'd better go. Although, I think I would rather stay here." The thought of the other students made her slightly nervous.

"Well, if you don't want to go yet, I don't think they can start without the teahcer..." Adrian murmured. His right hand came up from under the table, holding his cell phone.

Lana laughed. "Can you put them all off until graduation?" She picked up her bag. "No, the others will be waiting."

Adrian flipped the phone over his fingers and pocketed it again, shrugging and rising, breaking eye contact with Lana form the firsttime in several minutes. "Well, all right. But I don't think I could've done until graduation. I could do an hour or so."

Lana smiled as she walked over to the door, she turned to face Adrian as she pulled it open. "There's always time after class." She exited, and held the door for him.

"Thank you," he said with a smile as hhe stepped through the door, letting her close it behind him. "I'm afraid I'm still very ignorant of geography. You'll have to get us to the AC room."

Lana turned to him and smiled. "I find the best way to find the AC room is to listen for the sound of weapons clanging together." She laughed, as she walked to the main building. "Even you could find it blindfolded."

He smiled and laughed. "You know, that would probably work. I'll have to try that sometime."

Kain sat looking at the floor, breathing calmly slowly and deeply, his face could not be seen.

M'Lord the Emperor is being kicked off his computer for a while. He should be back later. Just RP waiting in the AC room for Eclipse to show up, K?

Brian finally finishes his drink, still letting his mind wander.

He gets up and heads towards the AC room, wondering if classes will ever start there. "Hopefully I can just watch this time."

Only to reappear seconds later in the AC room, still sitting in a chair, drinking her coffee.

"Oh, by the way Kain", she says, "I dont know what happend in manipulations either, SO FUCK OFF."

Lana and Adrian entered the AC class just as Katarina appeared. Lana looked slightly stunned as the woman popped into existant. She was even more surprised how quickly she recovered her composure.

I must be getting used to the weirdness, she thought as she took a seat.

OOC: I'm on for juuuust a minute here.

IC: Zed looks up and nods at the people enetering, then goes back to inspecting his Karn'da blade. Dirty, dark colored and still sharp. Good. He kept his blades dirty and very slightly coroded so they would be harder to see in fast combat. He loved the people coing at him with a gleaming blade. Made it easier to avoid.

Kain slowly rose, still looking down. He walked towards Katarina still looking at the floor. Very slowly, Kain raised his head and made eye contact with Katarina, a harsh and harrowing glare, one of absolute rage of being defiled.

"Do not speak to me EVER like that! *Kain voice was booming, he let his anger raise to a peak. He almost hit her, his talons flexing.And he subsided, but his voice now contained controlled anger.* Ever. If I where not in this plcce I would punish you serverly, perhaps more so that Qui! I only wished to know the truth. What happened there could happen again, and other people could be hurt. Including yourself depending on what you do. So back off. I will not tolerate your ignorance of your actions if you continue in this manner. Do I make myself clear?

Kain's eyes where ones which revealed little, apart from a hint of uncontrollabe anger lurking in the background, constrained, wanting to be freed. Yet Kain kept it in check. For now. His face was contorted to one of rage, yet he did not strike her or make any movement to attack. And now he formed back to his controlled self, his face stern revealing nothing, yet his eyes still bore into her.

"Now. I suggest that you back away, I am here for one purpose and one purpose only. To learn. I frankly do not for many in this place. But I do try and keep some of the studants hides in one piece, let alone my own. So do not push me. Whatever happened back there, I do not want it killing people. I know my place. Know yours, lest someone force the lesson upon you harder than Qui did. I will not be harmed for someone's inability to control what powers they have."

With that final statement, Kain broke away from his stare, and walked conposed to where he was sitting and looked to his equipment again, away from the others. He did not draw his blade. Kain knew that was fine. It always was.

Katarina sits through Kain's explosion calmly, not even flinching as he almost strikes her with his talons. once he finishes she says, "Was that supposed to scare me? it didnt. Ive looked worse, and probably more dangerous, in the face and survived. And i dont take threats kindly, so DO NOT threaten me. You do not scare me, im not your average person, so back off."

ooc: there is much about katarina that noone knows, some that not even she knows, dont assume that shes a "Normal" human, even a normal one with magic.
