Halfway back to her room, Lana suddenly changed her mind and stopped. She didn't want to spend the rest of the day locked away from the outside world. She came here to meet people, not run away.

You tried that already, and failed.

She thought back to her attempt to leave. What had made her choose that particular moment? She never usually gave up so quickly. She never usually gave up at all.

"The problem with you is, you're too stubborn. You never back down from anything."

Then why start now? She delved deep into herself. What was she frightened of? It wasn't the other people, even if she didn't fully understand them or what made them tick.

I'm afraid I'll discover myself.

She sighed and shook her head. As she continued walking, she berated herself for behaving so foolishly.

Eclipse finished her ice cream and coffee, walking into a bathroom and looking at herself in themirror. "Great One..." she murmured, seeing her reflection. "What the hell is happening to me?"

Both her eyes' irises had turned gold with black flecks in them.

IC: Calico watched as the two combatants readied themselves, tension and anticipation filled the room as the fight was about to begin.

He had let most of his guard down, feeling tottaly safe within the confines of the academy however, he did sense a new presense in the room. Calico though paid this new feeling no heed, as he was totally absorbed in the comming fight.

The sudden voice behind him startled him greatly, and Calcio jumped ever so slightly. He closed his eyes and cursed inwardly, angry for letting this being sneek up on him and even more angry for letting it show how much he had been startled. Calcio turned to see an interesting being standing only inches away from him.

Calico remembered seeing him around the academy but never talking to him before. "Hi, Calico is my name." He offered his hand, "And you? I dont believe we formally met, though I have seen you around." His appearance was some what startling however, not as much as it might have been; Calico had grown accostomed to seeing strange things at this place.

Elaïne walked out of the woods, nearing the academy. All her attention was focussed on Lana.

I shouldn't be watching her like this.

But she was just too concerned about her well-being.

Lana stopped and sat on a bench. She was tired of walking, that's all she seemed to do lately. She let her head fall back and closed her eyes, listening to the sounds around her. The breeze through the trees rustling the leaves. The birds chirping overhead. Peoples voices carrying on the wind. The sound of feet.

She brought her head back up and opened her eyes. The sounds falling into the background as her sight took over as the primary sense. She saw Elaïne walking out of the woods, and smiled.

Joshua walked dto the pool area and sat down on a rock and just started thinking about his dream

"Mind if I have a seat?"

Lana turned slightly so she was facing Elaïne. "Of course not. Please feel free."

Deciding to test his heavy weapons, Zed clomps out into an empty field and sets up his equipment. Loading a missile into each of his SRM Launchers, he fires them off and watchs them impact om a nearby hill, hearing the explosions a few seconds later.

He fires off the missiles a few more time, make calibrations to his targeting system and them switchis to the DEMP-2(Destructive Electromagnetic Pulse Type 2) "rifle", as it were. Firing it off and seeing the charged Ions surrounding the main pulse strike the hill, he smiles.

OOC: Those explosions are going to be heard over most of the academy. There were six total.

Lana turned slightly so she was facing Elaïne. "Of course not. Please feel free."

"Thank you," Elaïne simply said, smiling at Lana. "How are you? Everything is all right?"

Joshua just smirks when he hears the explosions and walks into his dorm and grabs a black bag and begens to walk out to where Zed is

"Hmmm. Someone is playing with new toys," she said with a sarcastic smile.

Lana nodded. "Yes, everything's fine." She looked kindly at Elaïne. "Talking to you helped a lot. It still helps a lot." She laughed lightly. "Don't take this the wrong way, but I'm glad I almost hit you with my car."

"Yes, sometimes the best comes from the worse. But in that case, nothing wrong happened, we simply met."

She looked deeply at Lana.

"Do you have questions today?"

Joshua reaches into the bag and pulls out a M6D Semi-Auto Pistol and slaps a demo clip into it and cocks it. He keeps walking to Zed

Lana fixed her eyes to Elaïne's. "Only a couple of little questions. Why do you go by the name Helen instead of Elaïne?" She wrinkled her brow. "And why do you reside here, if you are not a teacher or a student?"

Deciding what weapon to use next, Zed loads a few thermal gernades into his launcher, takes off his helmet and lobs them onto the hill, trying to see how accurate he is without electronics.

They all strike within 50 feet of where he aimed, carving out small chunks of the hill and charring the ground. "Good. Very good."

Turning back to the group of 6 weapons he picks up the disupter rifle. Highly illeagal and dangerous, it rips organic materials apart with ease. He got it in his last game of cards and never turned it in.

Suddeny his motion sensor picks up another person. His neuro helmet locked on and gave him a visual. Putting the disrupter back in it's case and locking it, he then turns towards Joshua and nods.

Brian finishes his meditation, feeling refreshed. He hears the echos of the explosions, and smirks. Someone having a little too much fun, he thought. He gets up, and puts on a blue silk shirt (he's already got pants on, just to clarify). He heads to one of the places to eat.

Kain paused for a second in thinking.

"No. We have never met. Care to spar?" Kain's boice was devoid of emotion, it was a statement not a question it seemed. Very cold, and to the point, his voice was deep and slighly echoing. He had his arms at his side, his talons flexing sightly.

Kain has green-brown flesh, with a long scar down his mid-section. with white hair, and bown complex eyes he has cloven hands and feet, three talons on each. On his back he has a sword sheaved (the sword shown below).

"My brother w... is Vaughn, Rave's fiancé. But we have many enemies, that's why he wants me to hide."

Lana's eyes conveyed her sadness and concern. "Hiding? Are you really in that much danger?" She reached over and took Elaïne's hand. "I can understand why your brother would want to keep you safe. I look forward to meeting him. He sounds like a very considerate and loving man."

Elaïne's eyes went wet.

I hope he can be saved.

"My brother... went to seek for Rave's soul. I do hope they will bothe come back... together," she said with difficulty.

It was obvious she wasn't truly telling her mind.

"My father had many enemies... and my brother and I inherited from them. I still believe my brother underestimates my own capabilities to respond to attacks. But what could you expect from a brother."

She smiled as to wash away her feelings.

"I'm sure he would be delighted to meet you."

Lana placed her arms around Elaïne and hugged her. Her mother always did that to her whenever she was sad, and it always seemed to make her feel better.

"Your brother will return." She spoke softly. "If he has half your spirit, he will will return and he will bring back Rave." She smiled kindly.

She held her for a few minutes in silence.

Elaïne's body was like electric. Lana could feel like something vibrating inside of her. Something that seemed to be vibrating inside of Elaïne too.

"I hope she will bring him back," Elaïne muttered to herself in ancient elvish, too innerved into her own feelings to realize she was giving up a secret.

Qui watches as Zed destroyes the land...the only one who could restore the land was Rave...she would cringe at the thought of someone tearing up the land she had worked so hard creating...nevertheless, she could rebuild it. But Rave was not there.

Qui looked at him with a scowl until he sent a shockwave ripling through the ground straight towards Zed and knocking the ground out from under him.

Lana let go of Elaïne suddenly. Her body had begun to experience some strange sensation. She looked at the woman beside her, as if she could feel her.

So shocked was she by this feeling, she did not hear her speak. "I'm sorry, Elaïne. I didn't catch what you said."

Zed packs up the missile launcher and the DEMP-2 gun and turns to collect the rest of his things. Suddenly the ground shakes violently and Zed falls hard, his armor leaving an imprint in the ground. As he sat up he grabbed his blaster and tried to figure out what just happened.

Lana let go of Elaïne suddenly. Her body had begun to experience some strange sensation. She looked at the woman beside her, as if she could feel her.

(OOC: I see the remains of knowledge Lana has as erratic, so she may understand or not. Depending on the character's state of mind, what you could find could be the most fun as a situation or for the sake of stroy-telling ;) )

Suddenly, Elaïne seemed more concerned about Lana's attitude then about what she may have said.

"Are you all right? You look like you heard for the first time in your life."

Qui: Drop! *he commanded and the blaster fell to the ground. You could see in his crimson eyes that he was not the most pleased of people. Qui was standing behind him. He wore the same brassknuckles with the black cut off gloves over them. He eyed Zed intently before speaking* Would you have the decency to use your weapons in the A.C. room where no damage to the surrounding area can be inflicted. Rav...She is not here to restore the land anymore...Do not let me catch you at this again. I have never seriously maimed a student, and I would not like to start now...*he glanced at Zed again and began walking back to the Academy.*

Lana sighed, then smiled trying to hide her discomfort. "It's nothing. I guess I've just been out in the sun too long." She looked down at her hands.

Kain felt the explosions outside. What the hell was going on. He gave no outward emotion of ocncern but inquired to what was going on.

Kain to Qui: What is occouring outside? A small war perhaps?

Elaïne passed her hand on her face, removing the tears that had rolled onto it.

"Don't be afraid. Tell me what happened," she said with a calm and friendly tone.

Qui: (to Kain) Reckless students...if it was a war, I'd be enjoying myself way to much right now.. *he laughed at this...and continued toward the academy*

Lana looked up at Elaïne. "I can't tell you. I can't explain." She took a deep breath. "I could feel something. I don't know know." She laughed. "This place is doing strange things to me."

Elaïne thought for a moment. She managed to hinder her feelings, trying to focus on what Lana may have experienced. She finally smiled.

"You are the bow, not the arrow. Why would you try to explain? You probably felt my feelings and sensed the part of you that was suitable to recomfort me. It seems it worked."

She looked more intensely at Lana.

"Remember, the mean is not important. Only the bow and the target."

Zed just stares after Qui. He then gets up and brushes the dirt from his armor. Gathering together what was scattered by Qui, he decides not to mention that the warheads on the missiles he tested would have blown the AC room to pieces.

Carrying the destructive weapons back to his room, he goes back out to the field with the DEMP-2(fries electronics and stuns living things) and the Ion Cannon(disables electronics).

Lana looked puzzled. "But if I don't know how I did it, how will be able to do it again?" She shook her head. "I know you said instinct, but there has to be some knowledge first."

Nothing can destroy the A.C. room except a nuke...and as long as you aren't carrying any of those...which you would be thrown out of the premises if you did, it will be fine. :P

I do NOT find pleasure in KILLING innocence as this one did. *He said firmly with clarity and offense in his voice* All vampires are different...just as all humans are. Do all humans find pleasure in killing? No, but some DO.

Reflecting on that point he took heart from it, yet...was slightly shocked by his more sadistic side. Yet at the same time, reveled in it.

Uh, he's carrying Trilithium laced warheads, certain types can take out cities. The ones he used didn't have much, but he carries some that can bring down skyscrapers with just two or three hits.

The Generals figured it was best to equip him with those warheads, but ordered him not to use the big ones unless he had to. Earth is a dangerous place compared to any place short of Nar-Shadda.

Also, I used a Trilithium weapon in conjuntion with a big ass nuke to take out a star. The description is on the first page of this thread: http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=65925

"You did it without knowledge, didn't you? Beside knowledge of what? The mean? The real question is not how you did it but why you did it. To catch the coin, if you remember, you used the knowledge intrinsec to your arm. To recomfort me, you used the knowledge intrinsec to your heart."

She looked around her.

"You have hands all around you. They are not that much different than the ones at both ends of your arms. They do nearly always function without you knowing about them. Only when you have purpose can you use them to reach a goal and, even then, you still don't have to know how they work."

(Eh...trust me you are safe on these grounds...you do not need such weapons. Eventually one will discover them in the future, and it may cause quite a rukus...but an interesting rp. either way.. :twisted: :lol: )

The same silver Lamborghini as before pulled up outside the school, and Adrian stepped out. His pistol was still slung under his shoulder, but today he was wearing a black leather jacket. He didn't stop for a cigarette today, instead moving astraight inside and leaning on the receptionist's desk.

"There's a few things I need," he said casually over his shoulder. "First's to talk to Eclipse, and Seth. Right now. Second, give me an unused dorm."

For this, he was sorry. he was not informed of what was happening with Rave or Vaughn...

Eclipse stepped in, wearing mirrored sunglasses to hide her new eye colour. "Adrian? What're you doing here?"

Adrian jumped up onto the receptionist's desk, instantly seated, looking to Seth. "First, sorry about Rave. Second ... Eclipse, come here."

Eclipse took several steps towards him.

Lana stood up. "Would you like to walk? I'm not very good at staying still for long." She looked over at the woods. "You live in there?"

He couldn't say anything about what had happened, with the wings....the only reasoning could be thought was that she had some of Rave's blood within her. But that could only be if Coro had taken some of Rave's blood....back when Rave was along the beach...when she was a pure angel... could she have mistaken Coro for Daja in one of those dark nights she was being sired?
Isn't it a vicious offence against a vampire if you drink from another's blood doll...that would explain the tension that had been between Coro and Daja....but this was all mere speculation...

Adrian reached up and took the sunglasses from Eclipse's eyes, revealing the gold irises. He shook his head and swore silently. "As I thought. I was right. This is all his fault," he said, inspecting Eclipse's eyes carefully.

Eclipse went stiff and cold at the mention of that. "Oh?" she said, raising her eyebrows.

She headed to her favorite place. A fountain. The fountain where she understood why Rave's and Zacharian's souls were exchanged.

"There is nothing miraculous about that. And, since you'll undoubtedly ask, I'm not born like this. I just happened to realize I didn't actually need them. To a certain level, those needs are only beliefs. As soon as you understand that's all what they are, you can get freed from them."

Scientists found this limit to be accurate... and actually, people do grow older, losing strength and finally die. The real question is: would they if God hadn't told them?"

She had an intriguing smile.

A blob of the AC room's wall moves inwards, and forms into Katarina. With a curt nod to the rest of the people in the room, she moves over and begins pounding on training dummys. Moving fluidly from one stance to the next, and from one MA to another, she literally tears the dummys to pieces. As she finishes she grins, looks back at the trail of detroyed dummys, and waves her hand in an intricate gesture. The dummys shimmer and reform themelves.

Turning to the other people in the room, she relaxes and introduces her self. "Hi, im Katarina, Who might you beings be?"

"I am Kain." he said bluntly as he tunred to see this new person. He looked unimpressed, yet he felt the same way about everything.

"As soon as you're beginning to think, inside of your mother, you're beginning to build beliefs. Would your mother eat, then you know you have to eat. Aging and dying are preventable. Look at vampires for the proof. However, they do go through a process of change in order to replace their former belief with another. Why? Because they need a change in the material world in order to accept a new belief related to matter."

"Only if you can feel these other worlds can you effectively act on the one you're immerged into."

"I think you could believe in such much more incredible. But, of course, it takes time. You should wash away thoughts about all this and just try to relax. Smell at the perfumes around this place. Things will get together just by themselves."

She closed her eyes and took a deep breathe.

Lana sat down on the floor and leant against the fountain. She closed her eyes and allowed her other senses to take over. She listened to the splashing of the water and the gentle sounds of her breathing. She inhaled deeply and took notice of the scents that filled the air.

"The air is like your blood running in your veins," Elaïne whispered as if she was just slightly adding to the small wind who passed by. "The ground is like the sky, support and roof. Let it flow through. Let it be you and let you be all around."

The sentence slowly put Lana in a modifed state of mind as if the cryptic words were slowly assembling a puzzle, with each piece being a sentence Elaïne had already told her.

Slowly, the litany continued.

"See how the air passes onto your face. Where is the frontier? Where is the you and where is the outside? Is the wind running on your face or running in your mind?"

Elaïne could feel as Lana's consciousness, something much more subtle than the soul, was slowly pouring out of her body, inspecting the trees around them.

After two conversations... that's unbelievable, Elaïne realized, marvelled at Lana's potential.

Elaïne smiled at her.

"Well, it wasn't. You achieved what I personally call an extension of the senses. Some people call it an out of body experience, but I find that expression quite innacurate. In fact, you passed through those leaves..." she was looking and pointing up to a tree. "... then you got high very fast in the sky."

She looked back at Lana.

"But at the same time, you were still in your own body, perceiving all of this."

She paused.

"This is very impressive. Such a thing involves a displacement onto a lot of energy levels."

Lana got up off the floor and faced Elaïne. "So I was experiencing what I felt?" She seemed to be looking inside herself, then her eyes met Elaïne's. "It wasn't a dream?"

Zed sits down in the field, not too far from where he was before, and starts to set up the DEMP-2 rifle to shoot remotely. After finishing, he moves about 20 ft away and has it shoot him.

His suit absorbs the impact of the EMP and the Ions around it, but it doesn't absorb the force of the impact or the bone numbing electrical shock.

The gun resests and fires three more times. As the pulses hits him, Zed's neuro helmet goes out, leaving only the view through his narrow faceplate. He feels his implants shut off from the Ion exposure as some of the suits systems short out. He keys the gun to stop firing and sits down.

Taking off his helmet, Zed activates the De-Ionizing device in the suit.His implants come back online and waits through their reboots. The suits shorted out systems are another story. Standing up proves much harder than sitting was. His suits left knee joint, left shoulder and chest armor cease up and Zed almost topples.

Cursing his pops off the afflicted armor and carries it back, leaving the weapons(he's wearing a jumpsuit, so he's still decent ;)). I doubt anyone will take the weapons and if they do, I can allways get replacements. Besides, if someone plays with them, the worst that'll happen is they stun somebody.

"I opened a door, that's for sure, but I didn't push you in. Beside, now that you've felt how it was, you could do it again. Anytime."

Elaïne opened her arms.

"If you open your mind, then it goes in and out. As soon as you stop thinking and start feeling, it is like you're shaping the bow and the target all at the same time. The more you'll do it, the easier it'll get."

She put her hands on her legs, bending at the floor, thinking.

"Now, I can see food seems to be a problem since you cannot picture yourself not eating. So picture it that way: you eat because your body consumes energy. You open your mouth, letting energy in. If you open your mind and let energy in, chances are you'll end up with the same result."

"Very well, I look forward to the chance to spar a bit with you." Calico said in a not to convincing tone, "Though I may be a bit out of practice."

He turned to his "golf bag" of swords to select a suitiable blade.

The wisest, even if they can seem calm and confident, do doubt constantly hence seeing any experience as something new, without pre-conceptions."

"But he asked me to recover her soul as his last wish before dying. So I closed my eyes and I reached her soul... just as you touched the leaves. I had no choice but to put it into my brother's body."

"And now, Rave is trying to find a way to get my brother's soul back from where it is."

"I wish I knew the right thing to do or say." Lana took hold of Elaïne's hands. "To have done something like that for each other shows how much they must truly have cared for each other. And a love like that can never be parted. They'll come home." She smiled.

They light up the path that we are meant to take in our lives. If you have seen one, then you do not need to doubt that everything will turn out as it should."

Qui watches silently from a long distance away. His eyes spotted Joshua barely. He folded his arms and watched merely for enjoyment. It seemed that Joshua had gone all day without getting backhanded...shame.

Kain put his hand onto his sword handle on his back and drew the blade. It gave a low ringing noise, which pierced the air, Kain deliberatly drew it slowly, as to show the full blade in all its glory. The metal had whisps of red running around it, the skull hilt's eyes had very faint traces of inner fire. Kain's face was solid and cold his other hand flexed.

He admired the blade for a second, the two interwining spirits, the wielder and the weapon, caught in a loving embrace, each understanding the other, yet at the same time each fighting for control. This only lasted a second, the sword knew t could not win, it allowed Kain to command it. It had never challenged Kain before he changed...odd, yet somehow it made sense.

Manpulations start today.

Qui stands against the wall waiting for students to enter the manipulations class. It was true that two students disappeared, and one went insane last year. All took manipulations...go figure. Qui was dressed in his normal attire, looking he was going to get into a fight rather than to teach. But that was deception...he was brilliant.

Calico pulled a comperable blade from his bag and took a few practice swings and cuts in the air, getting a feel again for his blade. All the while watching Kain do the same and a feeling of anticipation or nervousness began growing in his stomach.

Katarina exits the gym, deciding that she will go sit in on manipulations.

Qui raised his hand as an orb shaped ball floated in the air at his will. He threw it out the window. The glass shattered. He quickly lost his concentration on the ball and focused on the glass..all the while at his desk...The glass fixed itself back in the window and mended...leaving the orb outside. He smiled...

As they continued to walk towards the academy, Lana began to feel more relaxed with each step. She was pleased that Elaïne was there. She couldn't explain why but she felt confortable around her. She felt like an old friend. She smiled.

Kain smiled a slight smile, his confidant soaring, he knew he could win this. He saw nervousness in his eyes. I have defeated demons, forged the Brightblade, favored and sired by one of the most powerful of vampires, I can do this easily!

She attempts to intrude, in two spots at once. She slams rage towards one, using brute force, but at the same time she slowly inserts sadness from a different direction....

Qui: *laughs slightly* You're giving me the two emotions I already have....nice technique...VERY nice...I am impressed...when you plant emotions in the mind of another that they already possess...those emotions would be enhanced. IF you give the opposite, you will leave the person at neutral, and you would probably be able to change their entire mood around.

He immediately sends a wave of acknowledgement through Katrina in a positive context. She indeed had grown stronger. He looks to Lana. It was Katrina's second year, so he obviously didn't expect th esame results from her. He smiled..

Qui: Lana..clear your mind. As I said let go. We'll try something a little different with you. You need to learn how to block people from you're mind so that you can not be manipulated. Just concentrate... Katrina...send a wave of an intention, or idea to Lana...Lana, try not to be affected by this.

Katarina:"hmmm, what to send.... Aha, i got it" Less focused this time, Katarina sends a wave, not a tendril or spike, a wave of confusion, fear, uncertainess. She causes the wave to surround Lana's mind, in an attempt to flood her defenses and bear them away in a tide of emotion

Domino walks into the Manipulations room and sits in the back, observing. She blocks her mind so her presense won't accidently throw off any of the students.

Zed walks out of the dorm flexing his armor. Satisfied it was good as new he attaches the helmet to his belt and walks around the grounds for a while.

Qui: Domino. *he said in recognition of her presence with a nod, then turned back to focus on Katrina and Lana*

Domino nods back and watches Lana's reaction.

Lana's felt the pricklings of the emotions that Katrina was sending. She smiled to herself, as she realised that these were the very feelings that she had just cleared her mind of.

Recognizing Lana's lack of reaction, Katarina turns the wave to one of rage: Rage against life, against Elaine, Against everyone around. She begins to use brute force, and the wave moves from a gentle lapping to the pounding of a hundred foot wave, slamming into Lana's mind, gettig strong with each blast.

Qui watched the two. Lana had to block the emotions..most people weren't able to do it on their first try...but was Lana different? Could he expect something from her? Or would she be the one to go insane...He watched Katrina, then shifted back to Lana..interesting..

Domino arches an eyebrow. She stared at Lana. She knew the emotions being sent to Lana were strong, but had to wonder when they would stop banging on the front door and head to the back door with a more "innocent" emotion.

Katarina begins to place a nagging in Lana's mind, a gentle thought, "Would it be so bad to allow in this rage? its not as if life has been fair to me.", nagging, undermining thoughts, to weaken her defenses and to soften her mind.

Lana could feel the rage pounding at her mind. She felt as the wave built in strength. She felt the name Elaïne. Her mind cleared. Then she felt the change. A subtle hint, almost a plead to let it in. Should I?

The hint increases in reason, dredging memories, rationilizing the rage. Lash out, dont hold back as you have all your life, for once express your pain, remember your parents, remember your life, remember the pain of the past....

Brian hurries to his first class, Manipulations, hoping he is not too late already.

Imagines flashed through her mind. Her parents picture swam across her vision. Their loss caused a pain in her chest. She felt alone. A tear rolled down her cheek.

Domino watched closely. Lana was fighting it better than she expected. Although now Domino saw Lana's mind clouding. She can't keep this up much longer.

After a moment, she begins a slow steady drilling from different directions, Pain, Pleasure, Fear, and Sorrow focused, insidious streams of emotion. A storm of overpowering rage sweeps in, tearing at the essence of the mind, blasting with sheer force, overwhelming power. Blast of the rage, like lightining, streak towards the surface of his mind, Strong, fast, strikes that add to the confusion.

and underneath these distractions, a small tendril attempts to open a channel to brians mind, to access his memories, his life, his thoughts....

Brian nods to Qui. He closes his eyes, the better for him to concentrate. He moves closer to a state of Kel-nor-im, a very powerful and deep meditation, but not quite there. He quickly becomes aware of the approach of some power on his mind.

Just as quickly as he became aware of it, it turned from raging power into silence. He opened his eyes in his mind. He was standing in the palace gardens, alone. "What am I doing back here?" Quiet footsteps approached from behind, and two small soft arms wrapped themselves around his waist. He instantly knew who they belonged to. His love, Christy. The one whom he loved, would be his wife. He slowly turned around, to gaze into her deep blue eyes. Her flowing red hair rested atop her head.

They kissed. Deeply, passionately. Full of the love between the two. They didn't say anything. Neither needed to. Both knew what the other was thinking. Such was the bond and understanding between the two.

It was the last time Brian had seen her alive.

The stone gets in. If it's been thrown with too much strength, he get passed the house or else it simply falls on the floor. In such a case, you just need to take it and throw it out the window.

She smiled at Lana.

You have to let pass. Only what can touch you can hurt you. If your mind is opened and permeable, then you are far more protected than when you try and block everything. In fact, Qui misled you when he told you to resist.

Qui rolled his eyes as he watched the memories flow. He would not be noticed by the two...and continued to see the impacts of emotions and the techniques used.

Phoenix bored out of his mind walks out of the gym and walks up to Qui's class to watch the torture.

Brian hears a voice, his father? it speaks to him about how christy was going to kill him, betray him, and how he had killed her first. Brian looks down, and sees a knife in christys now skeletal hand...
"Feel the rage against your father, he killed your love, your reason for life. Feel the pain, the sorrow of loss, and awaken your inner beast. Lash out with rage, feel the pleasure of bloodlust, even as your inner heart sobs with fear, pain, and confusion..."

The tendril burrows further in, and the rest continue their attacks.

Rage started building up inside Brian. Yet deep saddness remained from his loss. It was over two years ago, yet it still hurt as though it were yesterday.

He let his mind wander to the day he found her killer. Security forces had been hunting him for two weeks with no rest. The man had finally slipped up, and was caught. Brian personally did the tourture. Savored every fleeting moment of it. It didn't stop the pain he felt, but eased it some.

The man had lived for three days. Brian hadn't rested at all, and didn't allow his prisoner to. He had stopped thinking of him as a human. That had allowed him to devise some of his tourture methods. Slowly skinning a person, starting at the feet, was incredibly painful he was told by the doctors. More so when dragged out over a day. The added acid had helped as well.

The prisoner's screams echoed in his mind. "Is this what you came for, to test me, to see what I've been through?" Brian yelled at the person inside his mind.

"It was not my father!" Brian thought. "I did the tourture. I found the man who did it. It couldn't have been my father...." But the images of rotting flesh and skeletons swirled in his thoughts.

It was too late to realize what was happening before the ground that they were standin on rippled out from underneath their feet causing them to fall. Qui picked up Joshua by the throat.* DROP! *he yelled devilishly as the sword was pulled from his hand. He held Joshua by the throat and gripped it hard before backhanding him several times and throwing him face first to the ground. He scoffed at him and helped Phoenix up. He turned and walked back to the classroom and opened the doors. Some of the students looked at him like, "Did you kill Joshua yet?" he smiled at this and turned his attention to Katrina and Brian.

At the touch of brians mind, the probe withdraws, the attacks become more focused, stabbing at his brain.

The probing was coming in from different directions at the same time. Every time he was able to recognize what was happening, it would disappear and start again from a different side. But Brian continued to focus on the attacks themselves, not what they stired in his mind. He focused on where they were coming from. He knew he was up against a power beyond his own meager understanding, but he never let a challenge go to waste.
