Michelle whispered something, and the wind died. Her hair returned to a somewhat normal state. "Nice to meet you, Adrian. What are you studying here?"

Daja went to find Creo by the door, and Qui in the room.

Qui: Reinforcements thank God...

Daja: I'm only doing this because she broke your heart...which could be an explanation of why you have none today...

Qui: Maybe I inherited it...

Daja controlled his anger... Later....we'll continue that later *he looked at Creo*

Creo: Finally, could you tell your god damned son to let me in? I''m his Ex-wife for Christ's sake...

Daja: No...and he might be damned, but he is my son...and no one can let go of what you did to him...he can't love now...

Creo: sure he can...like father, like son...you loved Rave, right?

Daja: That's ENOUGH! *he picked the struggeling Creo over his shoudlers and "escorted" he out of the builidng...he breifly passed Adrian and Michelle... Don't ask...

"Well ... Technically I'm not studying anything here, because technically I'm a ghuest, not a student, although I'm learning a lot from Manipulations. I suppose the closest I'd have to a reason to be here would be unofficial campus security. I keep the students from getting too rowdy," Adrian replied, not even taking note of Daja.

Seth erupted from his state of quiteness, and punhed the wall, shattering some stone. "OH ECLIPSE! It's a hell of a thing not to age! You're binded to an eternity of nothingness...bound to see the ones you love die before you're very eyes and all for immortality! All for another day...after another day...after another day before they string together and your life rots into a solitary existance!" *he brought his tone down, and then spoke softly* I can't have that curse upon you...ever.

"Oh, I see. So you are 'campus security'. Well, I feel safer to know there is a little police force here." She looked in his eyes, she caught a glimpse of something but couldn't tell what it was. "Well, what is there to do around here?"

"You don't understand what I'm taking about," Eclipse replied calmly. "You don't age. You can still die."

Adrian shrugged. "I don't know. Attend class ... Hang out in the cafe, interact with other students, whatever."

Seth: No Eclipse...if you could please explain to me..*he said with a look of exasperation on his face*

Qui finally came out of his room to see Creo gone. He dropped to his knees. "THANK GOD!" he sighed, and got up. He looked nonchalantly at Joshua's dorm room door...knowing Kenja was inside, he took his hand off the handle, and proceeded down the hallway to where a new student was standing. IF he saw Joshua again, all hell would break loose

Eclipse sighed. "I ... Can;t explain properly."

OOC: Damn, I always come in when hardly anyone else is on. =P

Upon wandering the academy, Scion overheard talk of a new student arriving. He was pleased by the idea of having more competition in his manipulations class. He also began to think about what Kenja had done to him. It was like she turned on a switch inside of him giving him access to emotions he'd never experienced before. The whole ordeal was confusing to say the least and not necessarily welcome.

As Adrian spoke to Michelle, Lana removed her arms from around his neck and turned so that she was sitting on the bench properly. She watched their interaction in silence.

Joshua just sighed and streached and suddenly fell down on his bed in pain "Son of a bitch that hurt," he says.

Kenja laughs slightly. "It will never end between you too until one of you dies or people are there to pull you two apart will it?" *smiles*

"Oh, I am so sorry. I need to be going, nice meeting you Adrian." Michelle turned and left without awaiting a goodbye.

Lana looked up at Adrian and smiled. "I can't imagine why she's in such a rush. It's not as if there's anything here that can't wait a few minutes."

A.C. class starts today.

Seth sits in a chair apart from the sparring grounds. He looks over the room...empty, and soon students would arrive...and Eclipse. He didn't know what to say to her, nor what to do...but it was true...in the end, you are alone.

Lana got up from the bench and sighed. It was time for AC class, and she'd only just got rid of the bruises she had from the last lesson. She smiled at Adrian and made her way slowly to the classroom.

Phoenix started walking to Joshua's dorm alittle worried about him. As soon as he reached the dorm he saw Joshua and smirked abit.

Kenja looks at her watch... "Joshua...i got to get to A.C.... I'll be back later though..." *she looks at Phoenix and walks over to him* Don't touch him..*she says sternly* Qui already maimed him once, that is enough for one lifetime..

Kain made his way to the A.C room, pondering about what his actions would be to the Seer.

"Don't worry I'm only here to help," Phoenix says as he walks over to Joshua and grabs him and tosses him over his shoulder in a fireman's carry and satarts walking to the AC room.

Qui paced about in his room. Creo had been taken care of, yet Daja had not returned to the academy. He refused to show emotion toward him at all and remained indifferent. He walked toward the A.C. room...he was to have a spar with Seth to get out some of his still lingering rage. He passed Kenja on the way, whom then ran to catch up with him.

"Damn it Phoenix I can walk," Joshua says to him.
"Well your not if you want Qui ripping out your skull and beating you with it," Phoenix says remembering when he did that to a rebel once.

Qui reached the A.C. room and looked at Kenja. She nodded to him, and began sparring...but wasn't he supposed to be sparing Seth? Seth looked on with total indifferentiality. Kenja was fast...the day had come that she had become a neonate. No one had seen her fight before. Her agility was her best. Out of the entire fight, she hit Qui once...which was good considering Qui's state of rage...he'd rip anything to shreds.

Lana sat watching the fight between Qui and Kenya, and again wondered why she had picked this course. There was no way that she would ever be that good. She sighed.

Phoenix enters the AC room holding Joshua over his back and laughing about the time he killed a rebel with the rebel's skull

The spar continued between the two. Kenja was working so hard, she felt she was going to collapse if she didn't hit him. She slashed her sword down quickly above Qui...but Qui had already moved. He side stepped the blow and stepped past Kenja. A drop of blood hit the floor...then a sword clattered to the ground. Qui straightened up and brought his sword to rest at his side. Kenja feel to her knees, her right side had been cut, and her white shirt was now stained with her own blood. She would be fine, and heal in less then ten minutes...

"You must not let your guard down for a minute...." he said to her...

Seth: I thought this was my class... :lol:

"Very funny Seth..." he said with a smile. He did not help Kenja up.

Phoenix droped Joshua who went to help Kenja up. "You ok?" he asks her.

Kenja: Yea...fine...just a little to headstrong for my own good...I guess neonates still need training..*she said with a soft smile as the wound began to heal.*

Phoenix was still laughing at the rebel's shouts of pain and "That isn't humanly posible!"

Qui was an his heel as he turned around to face Joshua. He was about to rush towards him, but Seth had known the second he had entered the room he was to need help. He, along with Daja and Mar held Qui back, struggeling to break free and rip Joshua's skull out and beat him with it.

Joshua now in a very bad mood and fully healed says "Let him go I think it's time we finished this."

Kenja: Are you crazy?!? *she looked at Joshua* There is something you don't know here...in Rave's death..Qui has absorbed much of her power...

Qui: Yes...let me go..so I can kill the little bastard...

Seth: WHAT? *Daja releases his grip, giving Qui the complete ability to break free of the other three. Daja looks at Qui intently*

Daja: When you're done with the boy..I beleive you wanted a rematch...

Qui didn't listen to Daja at all. He was already in front of Joshua, punching the hell out of him, and brass knuckles do hurt. He uppercut right under his ribs, focusing on damaging the healing spine...then he went to work on tearing Joshua to shreds..

Seth: this is inhuman.... What is he doing?

Kenja: looks like he's bashing his skull in, only to be ripped out later, and used to beat him with after...

Kain just watched uneffected by this. It was moribidly fasicnating.

"Joshua you have nothing to prove. Now stop this fight," Phoenix says abit more worried for his brother

Qui flips back. He it hit in the spine, but recovers quickly. He picks up Joshua by the throat and pierces his nails into him, watching the blood seep down his hand. He threw Joshua back...and energy surged through his body.
He sent an orb of electricity toward Joshua. Sparks broke off and formed a wall of high voltage rushing toward Joshua with no escape... Fried Joshua...with a side of crispy cloth.... Kain knew the effects of this all to well...

Lana watched on horrified. This wasn't what she expected from the tutors here, regardless whether the student deserved it or not. She looked at the others in the room surprised that they were allowing it to happen.

Kain just watched amused at Joshua's attempts. I mean, I was not expecting to win, and that was just a duel last time. Might have stood a little chance if the sword had not gotten free. That remined Kain of what he had to resolve. Joshua must really be stupid.

Seth looked at Lana's concern.
Seth: This is not one for the classes. This is Qui and Joshua we're talking about, regardless of teacher student status. None of us has ever harmed a student a part from him...and it has only been...Joshua...and I can't do anything even if I wanted to...

Azari leans on the frame of the doorway to the school. Qui repeatedly hit Joshua, he watched the blood fall on his hands. Azari watched on, with no one aware of her presence. Seth was engaged in the battle as well..

Joshua was enraged more and more by every hit he took yet he keept coming back for more. He quickly jumped dinto the air and rushed down aiming a stop at Qui.

Lana grabbed her stuff, and turned to Seth. "I can't sit in here and watch this. They can kill each other, but I will not bear witness." She walked to the door.

Seth nodded...he understood way to well. Kenja had already gone outside the door, not wanting to witness anymore...

Qui continued the onslaught. Joshua's leg grazed his side, he grabbed it and twisted it, forcing Joshua to the ground. He turned him around, and punched him...he should take up boxing....he had a clean uppercut as well. He unsheathed his sword and speared Joshua two inches under the heart. He flipped him up....his sword was perpendicular to the floor, and Joshua was parallel to it as the sword was driven deeper as Qui held it above his head in the air. He rammed the sword down into the ground, leaving Joshua an insect nailed to a veiwing block.

Joshua started trying to pull out the sword and get up once more to continue. He was in horible pain be he had to continue and finish this.

Lana was pleased to be back in the open air. She took several deep breath in an effort to calm herself. She was not a fan of violence, but she knew that what was happening in that room could end in someone dying. And waste of life upset her.

Kenja: Joshua DON'T STOP NOW THIS IS SUICIDE!!!!!

Qui didn't listen to Kenja's words at all, and continued. Qui pulled the sword out of Joshua fiercly at an angle to inflict more pain. He brought the blade down again on him...this time pulling across him when it hit.

Azari looked on...Qui...

Joshua knew one more strike might end the fight forgood. Joshua in a last act lunged at Qui and punched him with great force

Kenja looked at Lana. She was helpless, and there was nothing she could to for Joshua. Why had Joshua been such a fool... to challenge someone of the verge of becoming an ancient...with a portion of Rave's powers now...and Qui of all people...Kain and Katrina knew Qui's wrath...but now Joshua would know the extent of it.

Lana looked at Kenja, and smiled sadly. She knew there was something between her and Joshua. They always seemed to be together. She thought how she's feel if Adrian was in Joshua's place and shuddered.

Qui was hit by the blow, and fell backward to the ground. He quickly got up, though slightly off balance. He was able to grab Joshua one more time...he held Joshua up in the air for a moment, before a hand touched his shoulder. Qui was shocked for a moment, then while still holding Joshua in the air, he looked back.

Qui: Azari...

Azari: Qui...put him down... *Qui's grip loosened, and Joshua tumbled to the ground from the height.*

Qui: Azari...*he whispered*

Azari: You've changed since the last time I saw you...

Qui: Time changes everyone...

Azari: We* are an acception.

Qui: We are none of the sort...

Azari: Walk with me for a while...

Qui took her hand lightly and looked at her for a moment.

Kenja looked back at Lana...there were tears in her eyes..."Qui against Joshua...we know what the outcome will be...my sire...against...my love."

Joshua hit the ground and lay there bleeding and coughing up blood. Phoenix russhed to his side

Lana walked over and hugged Kenja. "It will be alright."

Kenja hugged Lana, thankful for the support and reassurance she needed so desperately. "I hope you're right..."

Qui looked at Joshua...death...near passing...Azari looked at him...

Azari: You know what you have to do Qui...

Azari: Then I will...*she said defiantly*

Qui: I will not stop you...

Azari: I know...*Azari walked over to Joshua and pushed the others aside. She mended the damage, but still, the loss of blood was great...he would not survive. She looked him over and pushed his head to the right gently, and pierced into his neck, drawing until it was the last drop. She cut her wrist with her fangs and pressed it to his mouth.* Drink...

Joshuua started drinking slowly he was still in pain and seeing hell again (god how many more times does he see hell)

Lana continued to hold Kenja in her arms. Only letting go when Kenja decides she doesn't need her any more. "I usually am." She smiled.

Azari pulls away. Joshua would be asleep in a matter of minutes. He would like...he would go through a change. What abilities he had before would be stripped away, to start again as her fledgling. Unlike Qui, she was compassionate...but maybe that's what she needed to balance them... Qui took Azari's hand.

Qui: Azari...*he looked at Joshua, then back at her..still astonished after all these years his rival had returned...after all he had done..She could not talk...her vocal chords had been severed by his hand...all they had been through, to return now, and sire Joshua... Ironic how things turn out...Qui siring Kenja, Azari's younger sister...and Azari siring Joshua. Kenja and Joshua...

Azari: Don't say a word...*she said and kissed him. Qui was caught totally off guard and his sword dropped to the ground*

Lana continued to hold Kenja in her arms. Only letting go when Kenja decides she doesn't need her any more. "I usually am." She smiled.Kenja smiles...hearing that the fight has died down..was more at ease. "In that case..." she relaxed slightly.."Then by some miracle Joshua is still alive, and something stopped Qui from delivering the final blow...that's likely..."she said slightly sarcastic, but wished it was true.

Joshua just lay on the ground not moving but breathing fine again.

As Michelle sat quietly in the background, she eyed the other students techniques, evaluating their strenghts and weaknesses in combat.

Daja walked out of the room. He couldn't get far before Kenja stopped him.

Kenja: What happened.

Scion wanders aimlessly around the academy. Off in the distance he hears what sounds like intense fighting. Having no other preoccupation he decides to check it out. Upon his arrival, he sees one student unconcious and several others practicing combat; obviously he'd walked in on the AC class. "They weren't kidding when they said this class was serious," he said to no one in particular.

OOC: He would've noticed that too, I'm just stupid like that though. :)

Seth: *looks at Qui and Azari, then at Joshua, then to Scion* This isn't normally how it goes....Eh...*he was slightly uncomfortable between Qui and Azari...* Alright out!

Seth rolled his eyes and tended to Joshua while otheres continued sparring.

Adrian came up behind Lana, unnoticed, and put his hand on her shoulder. "Hey," he said. "What's happened? You look worried."

Eclipse opened the door to the AC room and stepped in. SHe could immediately sense the tension. She could have cut it with a katar.

She stepped up to Seth. "All right, what happened without me?"

Scion considers using some of his manipulations skills to mess with some of the AC students, but decides against it. After all he wouldn't want someone interrupting one of his classes.

Seth: Well...Qui unleashed his rage on Joshua. Qui...Qui nearly killed him...but Azari stopped him. Azari was Qui's rival during their training. He ripped her vocal cords out...therefore she cannot speak regularly..though through the mind she can....she stopped him before delivering the final blow to Joshua. Azari then sired Joshua, making him her fledgling....Qui and Azari suddenly kissed, and they just left the room. Joshua is still unconscious, and when he wakes up, he will be under Azari's instuction...i'm so confused...*he said desperately.

Eclipse chuckled. "Well, you're less confused than me. You actually saw it happen."

Scion includes himself in Seth and Eclipses conversation, "It's interesting how one man can be so well contained and so full of rage at the same time."

Seth: This class has gone to hell since you've been gone...this time Qui really did kill a student...impaled him with a sword...but Joshua will survive because of Azari...It's been hell. I'm so confused, and I need you kiss me..*he kisses her passionately*

Qui and Azari have not been seen. The last time they were seen was near the teachers dorm room and a door could be heard slamming close :shock:

Daja say on the steps of the main building, looking up at the stars.

Phoenix walks back in and leans against a wall and sighs. "He will be out of it for a while," he says to Kenja

Scion raises an eyebrow at Eclispe and Seth and leaves them to their devices.

Kenja sighs deeply and looks at Phoenix. "And i wondered why Qui got kicked out of anger management so many times." she managed a laugh.

Scion notices Kenja and a slight grin comes over his face. He walks over towards her and interrupts her conversation. "Hey Kenja, want to have a go?" gesturing towards his katana.

Lana smiled as she felt his touch and her shoulder. She placed her hand over his and turned her head. "Just another AC class."

Kain had heard her voice. It was....an extremely unusual. Nothing could have made Kain prepare for that voice. She was remarkable. Her vocal cords ripped out? Ah I understand now what she refered to, about negotiations. There is an odd binding betweem these two. A love, of a most warped yet true degree....

He looked down on Joshua, not with pity. He knew what Qui is. What had the fool tried to prove? Now, this experiance should teach him to fight on your own terms. And other lessons, about.....us.

Never using the word to catogrise himself with the others vampires, he did not like the sound, yet. He would not classify himself as "one of them". Not yet. There was his past to resolve. Soon, very soon shall it be, to discover the truth.

But first Daja. I must speak to him, then I shall leave temporalily to head to the Seer. To discover the truth.

"Well atleast he is starting to move again," Phoenix says without looking.

Adrian let out a laugh. "Just another? No, I can tell. Something happened. What was it?"

Lana looked at Adrian and sighed. "Someone could have died today." Her face was white. "And now everything's fine." She shrugged. "I don't think I'll ever get used to this place."

"Damn..." he said quietly. Then his brow furrowed. "Qui after Joshua again?"

Lana nodded her head sadly. "He was stopped by someone though. But I don't think he's the same. Joshua, I mean."

Adrian nodded sadly. "I hate it when that happens. I always feel sort of responsible somehow ... Like I could've stopped what happened but I didn't. I wish I'd been there."

Lana looked Adrian in his eyes, and smiled. "Adrian, as wonderful as I think you are, you wouldn't have been able to stop it." A sadness crept into her gaze. "And I might have lost you."

Daja passed the two. "You couldn't have stopped it if you tried...I'm suprised he stopped for Azari...actually, I take that back...he would have stopped for Azari to a degree" he said and walked into the A.C.

Lana smiled. "Do you want to get a coffee? I feel our favourite table calling us." She stood up and took his hand. "And I could eat a huge chunk of cake."

Adrian laughed. "Yeah, me too."

Lana linked her arm with Adrian's and rested her head on his shoulder as they walked to the cafe. When they entered, Lana was pleased to see that their usual table was free. She walked over and put her stuff on the chair, before returning to the counter.

Adrian took barely a moment to choose before grinning and getting the triple chocolate fudge layer cake and returning to their table.

Lana watched as Adrian took his seat. "I've just realised I know nothing about you, other than you are suspended." She picked up her fork and took a mouthful of cake. "Mmm, that's lovely." She looked into Adrian's eyes. "Tell me about your family."

Adrian closed his mouth at that, and smiled sheepishly. "Well, my family ... Long story, and not at all pleasant ..."

Lana shrugged and smiled. "Okay. You don't have to tell me anything, I'm not going to force you." She took another piece of cake. "What made your sister get a position here?"

Adrian shook his head quickly. "No, I'll tell you, I'm just warning you ... My sister got a position here because she felt she could help the Academy, so, well, she just asked, and they said she could help teach AC."

Lana laughed embarrassedly. "I'm sorry, I thought it was so bad, you didn't want to tell me." She looked down at her cake, before returning her gaze to Adrian. "I was getting a little nervous." She smiled. "Eclipse fits in well here, although she seems a little normal to be on the teaching staff."

Adrian laughed. "Normal? I think you just haven't gotten to know her very well yet..."

"Well ... The first part of my long story involves you needing to know the fact that my father maintained the image of a good man for long enough to marry my mother. After that ..."

"The two of them met about twenty-eight years ago, and were married within several days of meeting. He maintianed an image of a good man, who would promise to care for her and all that. She was in love with him, truly in love with him, which is why she didn't leave him for ten years. Once they were married, he revealed his true side. A sadistic, psychotic twisted bastard."

Lana listened intently as Adrian spoke. Her features were slowly shadowed in a sad, consolatory look. "He made your family's life a misery, did he?" She reached over and took hold of his hand. "And your mother took you all away from him?"

Adrian looked down at the table and shook his head slowly. "No. My mother still believed he loved her deep down inside him, a she still loved him. She believed she could somehow reawaken the man she had married. She couldn't. Two years later, I was born. Three years after that, my sister Eclipse was born, and five years after that, our younger sister Shine was born. By that time, my mother had realized what I'd known all along. The man she had married was dead."

Lana felt the sadness creep through her body. She thought her own life had been miserable, but compared to what Adrian had experienced, hers seemed like a walk in the park.

"What was it like when your father found out that your mother had left?" Her brows furrowed. "How did the two of you cope with him on your own? How did you manage without your mother?"

She may have lost her parents, but at least she still had a genuinely loving relative to care for her. Adrian's father didn't sound as if that was the case with him.

"When my father realized my mother was gone, he did his best to destroy our house, or so we thought at the time. We were hiding. When we went downstairs aagin, our ground floor was destroyed."

"We basically just endured this until I became sixteen, and started fighting back. By this time I was as big as my father, although I was still scared of him. He had this sort of power over us, as his kids. I killed a man that next year, when I was only seventeen, in defence of Eclipse. He was a ... friend ... of my father's. You don't want to know what he did to her."

Adrian continued, trying to stop a tear from forming in his eyes as he remembered the incidents. "I started taking longer and longer trips away from home. By the time I was eighteen, the only times I ever stopped in there was to make sure Eclipse was okay. She was only fifteen then. Then one day I came in after a weekend away with my friends, and ... and ..."

Lana got up from her chair and walked around to Adrian's chair. She crouched down beside him, and put her arms around him. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked." She rested her head against his arm. "You don't have to tell me any more. I know how hard it is for you."

Adrian nodded, breaking back the tear, stopping it from leaving his eye, and put his arm around her. "Thank you," he whispered in her ear.

Lana remained hugging Adrian. She looked up into his face, and watched him stopping the tears from falling. She seemed to have a knack for upsetting the people she cared for. First Elaine and now Adrian.

She gently caressed his cheek, as she looked into his eyes. "Are you alright?"

He nodded and smiled, sort of regaining control over himself. "Yeah," he said with a weak chuckle. "I'm fine. Thank you."

Lana unfurled her arms and stood by, returning to her seat. She kept her eyes locked to his, once she sat down. She took a sip of her coffee. "Do you want to do anything? Something to cheer you up?"

He shrugged and took a bite of his cake. "I don't know. Maybe."

"What did you have in mind?" he asked her.

Lana looked at Adrian, regretting her decision to ask about his family. She really should have stopped him when he mentioned that it was good, but she had to press on. She sighed.

"I have nothing in partcular in mind." She smiled. "If you have no preference, we could got for a swim. But if you would rather do something else? I just want us to do something that will make you smile."

He smiled weakly. "I don't know. Maybe we could go for a picnic and then a swim? I'll do my best to cheer up."

Lana smiled. "A picnic and a swim sound perfect." She looked him in the eyes, wishing she could make the sadness go away. "You don't have to cheer up, I'll still love you miserable. If it does make you happy, then that is just an added bonus."

He laughed. "No chance of that. Even just being with you makes me happy."

Lana laughed, but there was a serious undertone. "I wonder sometimes. I seem to have a knack of causing people pain." She drank her coffee. "Guess my mouth jumps in before my brain has a chance."

He smiled at her, finishing his slice of cake. "Well ... That was my pain, not yours. You were perfectly justified in asking about me. You have no reaosn to be sorry, or feel bad, or anything."

Lana sat in silence, watching Adrian with her hand in his. She smiled, happy in this moment, yet still quilty for causing him pain, but dragging up his memories.

She looked at the door as Brian entered. She smiled a greeting, before returning her attention to Adrian.

Adrian smiled and looked into Lana's eyes. Then he blinked and seemed to realize something. "Oh ... Right. Do you want to go?"

Lana stood up, and gathered her things together. "I'm ready when you are." She picked up her cup and finished the last of the coffee.

He stood, finishing his coffee, and stepped up to the counter, ordering the sandwiches they had liked on the last picnic, and the rest of the stuff they'd had.

He gathered it together and turned to her, taking her hand, his fingers entwining between hers. "Ready?"

Lana walked out of the cafe with Adrian, her hand linked to his. She smiled as the walked into the sunshine. "Are we still swimming after the picnic?" She looked at his profile. "We'll need to go back to the dorms for swimwear, if we are."

Adrian laughed as they stepped into the sunshine. "Let's not worry about that now. We'll burn that bridge when we come to it." He laughed at the expression. "We can get swimgear after our picnic."

Lana laughed with Adrian. "Where do you want to eat today? Same place as before." She grimaced, remembering the soda incident. "Or do you want to try somewhere else?"

He shrugged. "Wherever you want. I liked the place we ate last time, but only because it was secluded and private. Wherever you want, truly."

Lana smiled. "Then we'll go back to the same place." She grabbed his hand and dragged him running across the field to the woods. When they reached the clearing she collapsed onto the floor, laughing.

Adrian, laughing, ran along with her towards the spot, and as she collapsed laughing he fell down beside her, still laughing. He turned his head to her, and stopped laughing. "I love you," he told her again, and then leaned in, kissing her.

Lana placed her arms around Adrian's neck, pulling him closer to her. She wished they could stay in this spot, like this forever. Away from everyone, away from violence, just the two of them. She never wanted to let him go.

Lana was breathless when their lips finally parted. She smiled, as she kissed her finger and gently placed it on his lips. Before allowing it to run down his neck, bringing it to rest on his chest. "I love you, too."

"I know," he whispered, taking a hand from around her neck and moving it slowly through her hair.

Lana closed her eyes, as Adrian played with her hair. She kept her hand on his chest. She could feel his heartbeat through her fingers, her own keeping pace. She slowly opened her eyes allowing to capture his. She smiled.

He looked into her eyes, smiling, and leaned forward, kissing her again, one arm around her neck, and the other hand on the back of her head.

As Azari continued to look at Joshua as he moved, someone came behind her and wrapped their arms around her waist. She was about to turn, but his strength stopped her.

Azari: When did you wake up?

Qui: 'bout ten minutes ago. *There was something different about Qui...he had a smile on his face, and was happy...OMG he showed emotion? He wasn't wearing a shirt, but had on his usual black Jeans and cut off gloves. He looked at Joshua and winced.*

Lana lost herself totally in his kiss. Her heart was beating fast, her body trembled. She was losing control of her emotions. She belonged totally to him. Time slowed, the seconds seemed like a lifetime.

He chuckled, "Well, all right," he said in mock disappointment. He took the bottle and cracked the top off with his thumb it went flying back into the basket with a slght popping noise. He laughed.

As he opened the bottle, she began to put out the food. Not that she was really that hungry, but she needed the distraction. She could think of nothing she'd prefer to do than be here. "Wow, your aim is perfect."

Adrian laughed aagin. "If you think my aim's good with a bottle cap you should see me with a rifle," he said, laughing. His hand reached out for, coincidentally, the same sandwich that Lana was going for.

Lana felt Adrian's hand rub against hers as they went for the same sandwich. She looked at him and laughed. "You have it." She picked up the soda and took a sip. As she watched him, she began to play with her hair. The memory of him doing the same made her smile.

He chuckled and took the sandwich, biting into it. "If you insist," he said with a grin. He flipped the cap off another soda, again into the basket, and took a sip from it.

Lana flopped back onto the floor, and lay there looking up at the sky. She thought about their location, and decided this was her favourite place. This was were all her good memories seemed to originate. She smiled, as she moved her head slightly to one side, so that she could see Adrian's face. She didn't need any words. She was happy to just lie here in silence, with him nearby.

He lay down beside her, looking up at the sky, and at Lana out of the corner of his eye. After a long while, he raised his bottle of soda. "To us," he said, before knocking his botle against hers gently and taking another drink from it.

Lana rolled over on her side and raised herself onto her elbow. She looked down at Adrian lying on the grass. "I wish we could stay here forever." She smiled, as she gazed into her eyes. "It feels right being here." She dipped her finger into her soda, and rubbed her finger over his lips. She leant forward and kissed him lightly. "Now your perfect." She laughed.

Adrian raised himself on an elbow facing her and laughed. "Ah, I'm not perfect. Not at all."

"I sometimes think I don't deserve you. You're ... Well ... Perfect, and I'm ... well ... me."

Lana shook her head and smiled. "Well, I think you're perfect." She poked him lightly on the chest as she spoke to emphasise the words. "And that's all that matters." She looked into his eyes. "You do deserve me, just as I deserve you. We deserve each other."

He laughed. "I suppose you have a very valid point there. We do deserve each other." He looked into her eyes, then leaned towards her and whispered, "You're the most beautiful thing I've ever seen," before ksising her.

As she was enjoying the kiss, Lana gently shook her soda. When it had been shaken enough, she released her finger from the lip of the bottle, covering them both. She collapsed onto the ground in a fit of giggles.

"Now you have to say something bad about me."

Adrian collapsed backwards laughing. He composed himself a little while later, and said in a mock serious voice, barely containing his laughter, and failing to keep a straight face. "Why, you naughty girl! How dare you?"

He looked down at his drenched, sticky shirt and laughed.

"Naughty girl, huh?" Lana continued to laugh, as he examined his wet shirt. "You haven't seen anything yet." She raised her eyebrow impishly.

She rolled over onto her stomach. With her elbows on the floor, she rested her chin in her hands. She turned her head towards Adrian and smiled. "You know, you are not a very good liar." She lowered one hand and began picking the grass. "I've found your one major fault. You have until the end of the year to find mine."

Scion walks around the academy, but can't seem to find anyone other than the lovebirds. Upon walking outside he noticed a lizard. Quickly using his powers of manipulation he stopped it in its tracks. He was going to enjoy this. He made the lizard do all sorts of acts beyond its regular capability. After getting bored with the lizard, he made it do a strange contortion until he heard the snap he was waiting for. He decided he needed more challenging prey, and the sooner the better.

Lana laughed. "Yes, I do. I want to know everything about you." She reached out her arm and gentle traced patterns on the back of his hand with her finger. "Even your flaws."

He smiled, shivers running down his back at her touch. "Ah, but I want to see if you can find them," he said mischeviously, with a laugh.

Lana raised her eyebrow. "Is that a challenge?" She looked deep into his eyes, then laughed. "Give me a couple of Manipulation Classes and I will know all your deepest hidden flaws."

He laughed. "I've got another one of yours! Ineptness at Opening Soda Bottles!"

He broke out laughing, and looked down at his shirt. "And you've got a very good skill at Drenching People With Sticky Soda."

Lana ran her gaze across his chest and smiled. "But the soda drenching isn't a flaw, it's a talent." A mischievous glint appeared in her eyes.

He smiled. "Well, it's both. Skill at drenching with soda, and yet at the same time, ineptness at opening soda without spraying people."

Lana laughed. "How do you know that my inability to open soda without getting everyone wet, isn't just an act?" She ran her fingers down his chest. "There are benefits to being wet."

He smield at her touch. His hand moved to her shoulder, feeling the stickyness of the soda 'spilt' there. He put his hand on the bare skin of her neck and began moving it down towards her shoulder.

Joshua slowly opens his eyes and sees the most wonderful sight he had ever seen in ages it felt like.

Lana's skin felt like it was on fire. Her entire body tingled, spreading from the point where his fingers made contact. Her heart beat faster and her breath became shallow.

She smiled as she caught his eyes in hers. Her hand began to draw slow swirls on his chest.

Suddenly she laughed nervously. "I think we should go for our swim."

Adrian frowned. "Really?"

He sighed. His fingers reached down the back of her shoulder, under her shirt, gently.

Lana could feel herself losing control. She knew if they didn't stop soon, there was only one way this was going to go. She placed her hand gently on his cheek.

"I can't do this...not here."

He nodded slowly and took his hand up to her cheek. "I understand."

He leaned in and kissed her before removing his hand and pulling his jacket on.

Lana suddenly felt sad. "Adrian, I'm sorry." She looked at the floor. "It's just I associate these woods with Elaine, and anyone could walk past." She blushed.

He nodded. "I said I understood," he said with a smile. He didn't think there was much chance of anyone finding them that deep in the woods, but whatever.

Seeing her looking down at the ground, he put his hand out and raised her chin. "There's no need to feel sorry."

Lana looked him in the eyes and smiled sadly. "I guess that's another of my flaws." She got up from the floor and brushed the grass from herself.

Kenja: Joshua?! Are you alright. *Azari and Qui were standing nearby. Suprisingly, Qui took no interest to Joshua at all...and he was smiling*

Joshua's vission was still quite blurry and his neck kinda hurt abit. "Ow," he only said

Adrian gathered the picnic and stood. "Yeah. You feel sorry a little too much," he said with a smile. "Don't worry about it. There's no problems with having flaws."

Lana laughed. "I was talking about being shy, but you seem to have found another." She looked downcast. "Obviously your not as blind as I thought you were."

Perhaps he's not as in love, as I thought he was.

Kenja looked up at Azari desperately.

Azari: He'll be fine, stop worrying...*she said firmly before laughing as she looked up Qui.*

Kenja: *mutters* Get a room....

Qui: *smiles* What was that?

Kenja: Nothing...

He looked at her as he picked up the picnic. "I must have msinterpreted your words, then. I didn't know you were reffering to being shy."

Joshua moves his hand to his neck and feels the bite marks and his eyes shoot open with a "holy sh*t" look on his face

Azari loosens Qui's grip around her hips and goes to Joshua's side. She ran her hand over his neck, and the wound healed over. She looked at him for a moment, then to Kenja, who was already ready with an explainatoin, but Azari had one of her own.

Azari: You challenged Qui...Joshua you should know better. You could not know that he is gaining what Rave had...her...her special, let's just say "abilities". But you did know he would kill you. You also knew you were near death, one more blow and you would have been dead... but as circumstances had it, Qui did not deliver that final blow...and, Joshua...I have saved you. You have become my fledgling Joshua...*her red eyes matched his with understanding. She was compassionate, unlike Kenja's sire...and she understood. She looked back at Qui for a moment, who had his arms folded, yet was still smiling oddly enough, and not attacking Joshua. *

He looked at her as he picked up the picnic. "I must have msinterpreted your words, then. I didn't know you were reffering to being shy."

Lana leant over and kissed him gently. "Hey, I have so many that it's hard to keep track." She laughed, and linked her arm with his. They walked in silence for a few minutes. "If we had been somewhere else..." She left the rest of the sentence in the air.

He nodded. "Later, maybe. Somewhere ... privater."

At this point the academy's peak came into view and Adrian dropped the subject.

Joshuha still had his "holy sh*t" on his face still looking at Kenja

Lana smiled. "Do you still want to go swimming? If you've changed your mind, I'll understand. Who knows, we might even bump into some other students." She shook her head and laughed. "Probably not."

Kenja: I'm not quite sure what happened...I was outside...*She said* I thought...you..you died...well really died...but not...th..that...*mutters to herself* I'm stuttering again..*she rolled her eyes are herself and helped Joshua up.... Qui looked at Azari, and she looked back at him...Kenja then slapped her forhead.*

Adrian laughed. "Of course I still want to go swimming. But knowing the rest of the students, if we don't run into them at the pool, we won't find them anywhere."

Qui: Care for a swim? *he said as he wrapped his arms around Azari*

Azari: I thought you didn't like water... *she looked at him, it was obvious that words were passing that were going unheard...and in seconds they had turned, and Azari was running ahead of Qui, who was following and falling behind, but was obviously not trying that hard.*

Kenja looks at Joshua...
Kenja: Some sires.... :roll:
