Kelly began removing her chest arrmor as she walked when she reach the pool she began removing the rest of her arrmor and dove in.

Under the water Kain saw this new person. A woman. Not that Kain cared. He no longer felt attracted to them oddly enough.

Rising from the water, Kain lept out, his white long hair streaming at the pack. He felt good, the water was not a weakness. Feeling a slight tierdness as he got out of the pool, he grabbed a towel, and dried himself.

His green leathery flesh easily dried, it was very water proof, so Kain did not take long to dry. As he did so, he looked over this new woman who was in the pool. Funny, she had to take off all of her battle armour, and all I had to take off was my cloak.

Kain started to slowly walk around the pool to the chair he had placed it on, while still watching her swim.

The cloak was soft, yet resiliant. It too was water proof, he had made sure of that, but Kain did not want it slowing him down. There was one icon on it, a white glyph in contrat with the red cloth. He threw it around his left shoulder and began to walk away slowly, still watching her for a few seconds more.

The thirst was coming again, it was only a slight twinge of longing, of need but Kain suprressed it for the time being. He relized that he would need he contain the thirst at some times, lest at every urge he would go after blood. Kain's cloven feet gave a soft click as he walked away.

Alexander stepped out of the shadows by Kain. "Hello, Kain. Enjoying the view?" He was in his full battle armor and his sword hung by his side.

Kain slowed his pace.

"Yes, I must say, my Sir's land is rather stunning." Kain glanced over to the trees, the tall grass swaying in the wind, the perfect clouds as they drifted sleeply across the blue sky. To think, I would have never seen that kind of beauty again if I had chosen no. Still, there might have been better beauty in the afterlife....

Stop it! Stop being foolish.

Nothing was evidant on Kain's face, just looking out to the land, his hair was still slightly wet.

"Indeed. It is beautiful. A pity that the mistress of this house is dead." The accusation hung beneath the words. "Someone killed her, it seems."

Kain just stared out, his face showing little emotion, it was all tight within him. His talon's fexed, his eyes where fixed dead ahead, his skin was a dark green brown.

"How can you speak so caustically about her? Forget that question, I know the answer..." Kain's voice was full of synicisim, the voice was angered beyond belief.

"Kain. Do not turn me away." Alexander's voice was that of a preacher. "I can help you. Turn not from me."

Kain continued to walk, he did not care. This damned foolish human was out on a quest to "save my soul". Not likely.

Eclipse had gotten dressed again, and her wings had miraculously flattened to allow her to walk around freely, looking normal. Albeit, she felt kind of cramped, but at least she looked normal again.

She stepped towards the pool, stepping into the middle of what felt like a battleground. It looked like Kain and Alexander might attack each other at any moment.

The Advanced Combat Teaching Assistant stepped out between them and asked in a calm yet dangerous voice, "Is there a problem here, gentlemen?"

OOC: For future reference, she's very, very beautiful, especially with her silver hair.

A bullet shot past Kain's head. "Kain, either turn around, or I put an end to your story." Alexander said, holding his twin pistols up. Then he noticed the teacher. "My apologies, miss... I don't think I caught your name?"

Kain halted. A took a few seconds, not to consider, but to plan. And he bagan to laugh. It was not a mortal laugh, it was a laugh of a dead man who knew only pain, it was filled with synicial intention.

He turned around, a half smile on his face. His voice was filled with venom, of hatred, it was deep, synical and enfurated.

"You truelly wish to die mortal? Or do you have a thirst for seeing more vampires die? Well I am not dying, not to your hands. And if you even attempt to attack me again, I will kill you."

Kain just stood there. If he wanted to die that was his problem. He had faced demons, ancient spirits, fought one of the most powerful of his kind, forged the Brightblade. And that was in his last life. This life, I can do far more. Rave helped me last time, I stand alone now. Fitting.

OOC: Before the shots were fired, Eclipse stepped in asking them a question. See my previous post.

Eclipse stayed very calm when the shots were fired. She turned her head. "Well, Alexander, I'm Eclipse, technical faculty. What the hell's going on here?"

"Kain, I am your friend. Don't be a damn fool. If you dare to attack me, I have more weapons to kill vampires then you've ever seen." Alexander's blade crackled with the holy energy. His rings sparkled. "Ms. Eclipse, I'm trying to get this fool to speak to me."

"Yes tell her, why you continue to harass me, I wish to know as well."

Kain gave a mocking laugh again. "You know not what you face. What "help" did you want me to recieve?"

"Put away your weapons," Eclipse growled. "I don't appreciate people murdering each other inside this school."

"I have no weapons. I walk away. For some reason, he thinks he can force me to listen to him."

"Because I look at you, and you know what I see?" Alexander said calmly. "I see a fool. Someone who was given all this power, and has no purpose. Someone who could be a collosal menace to society." He stepped forward, clearing the area between him and Kain. "Someone whose's sire just died, and who can do nothing but insult someone who was trying to be polite."

"Go ahead and kill me. Prove me wrong." Alexander said. "Show me that I was wrong about you, about how you were better than your appearances."

Eclipse growled, "I said put away your weapons. And besides, so what if he could be a menace to society? Anyone could be. I could be, you could be, any fool with a match could be. Has he murdered anyone? Probably not. Don't make him start."

"I am no fool. I only wish to be alone. Or is that too much to ask?"

Kain was teiring from this. All he wanted to do, was walk away regain his compoture and figure what he was going to do. Alone.

"Of course, ma'am." He sheathed his sword, removed all his rings, dropped his pistol, and took off his armor. "Now, Kain. Listen to me. Someone killed Rave. And I think I know who it was."

Eclipse nodded to him. "Thank you."

Hearing the comment about Rave, she cocked her head. "Go on."

Kain paused there.

"Go on."

"It was someone named Cecilia. I picked it from Vaughn's mind." Alexander paused for a second, and then removed something from behind his ear, dropping it onto the pile. "Forgot the neuroblinder. Anyway, where was I? Oh yes. Elaine, or whatever, was involved somehow. I'm not quite sure."

Kain began to absorb this new infomation, and began to circle him.

"Is that all you know? Or is there more." Kain had regained composture, he was calmer. But the bloodlust was still suppressed. His voice was flat, and what it was, the syncial tone was still there, but it was not so prominant.

"Vaughn's mind was a mass of sadness. That was all. But if you confront him, and allow me to delve deeper into his mind, then I could gather more information." Alexander said.

"Where is he. I will do it myself."

"I'm not too sure..." Alexander stretched his mind. "Oddly enough, I can't sense his soul... yet I can sense his body. Strange."

Kain quickly figured it out.

"Some kind of displacement. Where is his body?"

"In his room... Wait!" Kain was already off and running. "Ms. Eclipse, may I please put my armor and weapons back on?"

Kain began running. He swiftly formed into mist, he had to get his weapon.

What the hell is going on?

A young woman stepped out of the shadows and tripped Kain. "So, you're the vampire my brother told me about. You don't look that scary." Rachel backed away carefully.

Kain slipped under his own door, to retrieve his weapon. He only hoped he would be granted it.

Cystrilising in the main part of the room, he sat down, and closed his eyes. He sent his own thoughts to those who he had left, and begged for the weapon once again for this task.

"You know her. She has saved me and my nation, let me save her if I can. I am not what I was, nor will I ever be, but my last debt I wish to pay."

Long moments passed, Kain waited for the Seer's responce.

I felt a tangable feeling of longing, as my spirit wrapped around the blade once more as he had done in the past, the blade wamred to my touch, although it had changed from what it was. Once the shimmering silver sword which I had weilded in my previous life twice, has changed dramaticly. The blade was of a blade metal, it was curved. The hilt was a skull.

I took a few moments to apprecate the Brightblade once more, but most of the power was gone. It was adapting to its new user, he had changed so dramticly, I could no longer channel. The Brightblade's spirit was slightly appaled by the creature it was wielded by, but it knew its cause was one which was good.

I waited a few seconds for the blade to re-ajust. Then I left, forming into mist, heading to my destination.

Alexander waited at the door, fully armed and armored. He smiled beneath his helmet. "Lassen Sie, daß uns dieses jetzt beenden." Clapping Kain on the back, he said again, "Now, shall we destroy this evil together?"

Kain walked out. " I know not where he is and I do not wish to expend my energys. Lead."

That much was true. Kain did not want to expend some of his energy, but that was not the reason why he wanted him to lead. The blade was, different, Kain needed time to figure out what power it contained. Xzar had not told me this! The Brightblade changes in occordance to the wielders need....but is it still an instrument of good?

Alexander led Kain through the silent school. He passed the rooms where the various teachers slept, and then past the room where Kelly slept. He paused. "I wonder... have you fed lately?"

Kain was about to answer, when he felt no tange of bloodlust, no craving. He had felt lust back before...

Ah. That was to be one of it's powers then. An invaluble weapon it is then, if it can quence the bloodlust. Apprantly, the blade was sutanting me, the spirit nourishing my spirit. As it did in the past, only it nourished the ground back then. Interesting. Very interesting.

"No. I am fine. Who was that girl. Do you know?" Kain's paces where long.

"Which girl? The girl behind this door? The teacher? Who?" Alexander asked calmly. He could feel his own blade hunger to bury itself in Kain's flesh. He suppressed that.

" She attempted to trip me up." Kain said bluntly.

It felt good to have the Brightblade in his hands again. The loving caress of the spirit within the blade made Kain remember his past life. But that was only a memory. Now offered s much more, and so did the blade Kain thought. In battle, the Brightblade destroyed evil. Would the estimation of good and evil be so clear cut?

"Sounds like my sister." Alexander said. "So, you haven't felt hungry at all?"

"No. I feel no thirst at this moment. Your sister. She seems...reckless."

Kain did not reveal the full extent of the blade's power, because he was not sure of its power himself. Xzar had held these secrets from him, what other secrets did the blade hold?

"Interesting..." Strange. Still, at least Kelly and Rachel are safe.


((g2g won't be on til late tomorrow. You can rp Alex if you want to go through this. He'll help you out, but he'll draw the line at murder or killing, and he certainly won't harm a woman))

(Heh. I am out most of the day, and I amn never on at the right times, due to my location (Britian) I am still on here for a while, but if my charcter is needed to do something, please get Rave to rp it. She knows my charcters origins and what is going on with him, a little)

The spirits gathered in thier sacred hall in Velmora, about to discuss what was going to occour.

All the spirits attended, the numbers where countless. The dead outnumbered the living, but they where confined within this hall through thier own choosing. The Seer as they where called.

"Kain desires the blade once more." One said.

"He left us, he left our ways!" other cried.

"But his cause is just, he has a debt he wishes to repay."

"But with that weapon he could turn it to great evil! You know this as well as I do Zelemon!"

Zelemon considered this, he had known him and fought with him. He had died with Kain.

"Enough. Grant him the blade to the vampire. But as to your fears, I already have a precaution. As Xzar went mad with power, I fear Kain will do the same with this weapon. So we know this time of our failures."

"They shall not be repeated. We know of the caution of which you speak. It is done. He is granted the blade, and may his fate be judged by the blade." Another finshed the meeting.

Silence, and the spirits returned to thier sleep once more, to reflect upon the world.

Lana, tired of walking around, returned to her room. She threw her stuff on the chair and walked over to the bed. She dropped down on to it, and just lay there looking at the ceiling.

"Umm, I'm not sure I'm going to fit in here," she spoke out loud, addressing the spirits of her own mind. "There seems a lot of tension and a lot of bad history among these students." She sighed. "I'm just a plain, ordinary human being, what business have I to be at a school like this?"

She sighed again as she rolled over on to her stomach. She rested her head on her folded arms, and lightly closed her eyes. "I have nothing in common with any of them..." She giggled slightly. "Fortunately."

She rolled over onto her side, and faced the window. She stayed there in silence just watching the clouds roll by. Strange how the sky seemed to remind you of home. She thought of the people she had left back in Tartarus. And suddenly she wished she was still with them.

Rave stood next to her own body. Oh how she missed it..who was theis Alexei charactcer. She would have to find out. But first, she would need at least some of her energy back. As she said, the power was in her blood. Why did her wings emerge after she awoke? Because the blood changed to recognize the soul. She needed her own blood in his body...so that she would have some powers of the light...she wasn't that aquainted with darkess. She walked over to her own body on the table in the main hall.

Rave/Vaughn: This is really unnerving...but what is done must be undone and I need SOME of power that I know how to control...hopefully this will work...*She looked down at the angelic vampire and pierced into her neck, drawing her own blood into Vaughn's body. She felt the ancient blood flow through her veins...it felt wonderful. She only took a small amount from herself, as a lot had been spilt..but ancients could live on very little of it. She wiped the blood from her mouth..it was weak, yet still something she would be able to control. She sighed heavily. Many people would begin to realize what happened...so she clouded her mind with all the techniques she had ever learned. The only people who should know where her kin...but not Kain. He may do something rash. Daja placed a hand on her shoulder.

Daja: You know that you get you're self into the worst ordeals ever possible.

Rave/Vaughn: Yes. It's slightly strange...the difference between the prophecy Qui made and the one that was escribed on the walls of that place. I picked up the differences, just saw it too late. I will get him back...Meniliste sook tiran...At least I can still speak in the ancient language. We do have a problem...

Daja: What?

Vaughn looked around him. Red rocks, red fabric in place of the sky.

Hasn't changed a bit, he thought to himself as he recognized the same kind of landscape Craddock, Alexei and he had travelled through. It's strange, it feels different.

Suddenly he spotted a form nearby. The shadow looked at him.

Time to battle... so soon, he thought, preparing for an attack. I wonder if I'll be able to find the Huge Maister again. But for now on, I'll... What the f*ck?

The shadow runned away.

Vaughn realized his feet weren't touching the ground anymore. He felt them finally. They were making a soft regular noise in his back.

Elaïne seemed to think for a second.

"I could arrange that," she finally said. "Would you have an object I could use to put the enchantment I have in mind in?"

Rave/Vauhgn: I'd put an enchanment on it if I had the ability to do so in this body, but I don't...*she looked over her body and reached into a pocket. She pulled out a small, rounded gem* Will this do?

Cecilia looked away, ignoring him until he got out of the room. She was underground. She had decided she didn't want to see the sun anymore. Deep inside of her, despite all the efforts she made to wash away her feelings, there was a face staring at her. The face of someone smiling because he was killed and not his fiancée. In a movement of rage, she waved at a group of servants. They didn't even get the time to realize they were going to die. Soon their bodies were ashes.

Bryam Vacit walks the campus of the Academy, he dispatched Prince Rowald and the young Sovereign Protector Captain to their classes and he had begun to wander the Academy, looking for a suitable class to observe. Vacit is dressed simply, a carcoal grey uniform trimmed in black. The only insignias are on his collar, one is a V-like emblem and the other is the lion of House Alderman.
Suddenly, Vacit sees a man flying with wings. He stops and watches.
"Stranger things have happened," and Vacit begins to walk toward where he saw Vaughn flying.
He remembers what he told Rowald this morning, "We are the eyes, the ears, and the hands of His Majesty."
When Rowald had asked why the Myrmidons were trained with such high weapons proficiency he had said, "Because sometimes hands must wield swords."
Vacit talks to the air as he walks, "But for now, I must do my duty to His Majesty and see what he wishes me to."

Elaïne smiled.

"I won't ask you when you picked up this gem, nor how," Elaïne said, recognizing a mineral she hadn't seen in centuries.

She took the gem and, hand opened, looked intensely at it, pronouncing incantations. Energy began to gather and made the gem bright in some quite of dark energy. Suddenly, it all stopped. Elaïne stared at the gem.

What has my brother done?

She looked up at Rave.

"It seems you have all of my brother's energy in you," she said, quite frightened by the idea of Zacharian, alone behind the Barrier with no way to protect himself. "Technically, you are him."

Rave/Vaughn: I take it that You are from Valinon..tell me of this person Alexei...this hell you went through..remind me of it, It seems I have lost many of my memories. *He walked close to Byram*

I don't fully understand what's happening, Elaïne replied, puzzled.

Her voice of her mother echoed from her memories.

"Love is about fusion."

Neither do I...but do you remember anything of that? A hell in Valinon he traveled throught with Alexei? If love is about fusion, then we definately fused a lot! :shock:

Yes, this is the place where all Knights go once their life is finished, Elaïne replied. Or so say the legends. The other side of the Barrier. nobody knows exactly what it is. It seems like the Barrier has always been there. As far as I know, there is no way to find someone in there.

Once again Calico was awoken by the stabbing pain in his back and he violently jerked up to see if the knife was there, but there was none. He sat on the bed leaned up slightly and panting like he had just made a ten mile run, the sheets on the bed were soaked. Soaked with his odor of sweat that clinged to him like an imperfection. Something was wrong he sensed, just like out in the woods before he stumbled upon all those bodies.

Calico wasted no time in dressing and was quickly out the door into the empty hall however, as soon as he went into the hall the dark and foreboding feeling only grew ten times more distinct and Calico went back to his room and emerged again this time with his guns strapped at his sides and his katana at his back. Even though he wasnt sure of the protocol of wandering about so armed, his protection suddenly seemed very important.

Even the air, as Calico walked outside, seemed thick with dread but also with misery as if something terrible had happened that he was as of yet unaware of. With a new quickness to his step Calico sought out someone a student or teacher who could inform him on what had transpired recently.

Qui walked by and bumped into Calico. Calico had never seen Qui like that. It was as if his hard exterior melted, and he was a child. He was a child...he was Rave's child. He looked at Calico.

Qui: Calico...Rave...Rave is dead...*he said grimly, sheilding the tears in his eyes. The students didn't know how deeply this affected him. He kept it very well hidden.* Her body is in the main hall...with Vaughn. *he smiled at this slightly, and made his way to the A.C. room to beat the hell out of something*

"Only my brother mastered the Narcht art. I can step into the Dark Path but I cannot see the Barrier, nor can pass through it. Maybe my brother could have done this... but I doubt it..."

She stopped all in a sudden and stared at Rave in her brother's body.

"Maybe... maybe you could step into the Dark Path?"

(ooc: fyi, there is no way to pass through the barrier using the Dark Path... but don't worry, some of Valinon's characters can surely help you there ;) )

Elaïne looked deeply at Rave.

"He must truly love you," she simply said. "I've never seen him doing anything that foolish before. He gave you everything."

She handed the gem back at Rave.

"What I don't understand is how you can still have your own identity."

Turning a corner outside on the grounds Calico ran head on into Qui, though he didnt fall to the ground Calico had to take a step back to brace himself back up.

He looked up to see Qui, half expecting to see anger displayed over his face however, Qui looked as if he were the walking dead. No emotion on his face except for the childlike distance in his eyes.

"Im sorry" Qui said for bumping into him and Calico stood there shocked. Never had he expected to hear Qui say those words to anyone for anything and he knew something was deffinetly terribly wrong.

But something like this Rave dead, the words hit him like a shotgun blast to the chest. Even though he didnt even know Rave Calico felt something inside of him while he was in the presence of the academy, like her being inside of him comforting him. Calico knew it must have been that way for all of the students and teachers, this would indeed be a trying time.

Before Calico could say anything in response Qui wandered away in his stupor and he was left alone with his thoughts. "Qui had wandered into the woods alone to prevent something bad happening to the academy, I witnessed it his devotion and swore to keep it secret. However, while he prevented the intrusion and danger from outside, danger still came to the academy and struck fearsomely. Calico slowly began walking, now towards where he said her body was displayed. He wanted to actually look upon her, and see if anyone else was about there that he could talk with.

"I hope the Shadows are actually demons then," Elaïne said. "I've never been able to determine what they really were."

Voltar smiled. This was a good day: rainy and cold. The food was good. He was at the top of Underaloz's central tower, in the restaurant. He had made an investigation and used some magic of his: there was an Alexei in this very tower. But this could prove to be tricky since the man was a sardaukar, a well-train soldier attached to the protection of the ambassador of Valinon in Underaloz: sir Arthur Craddock.

I wonder what course of event could have lead this damn Zacharian to take this man as his apprentice.

But that wasn't really important. He finished his coffee and remembered that a good Knight was a dead Knight.

A good Knight is a Night.

Qui: The danger isn't here...if Rave had been here...she would still be alive...*he added as he trailed off..he was still caring Cyro, and carried him to the A.C. room. Perfect to release his rage on. He set him up against the wall. Cried could be heard as Cyro came to. Blood spilt from him and hit the ground and speckled across the walls. By the time he was done, Cyro was dead and unrecognizeable. he was half expecting for some of his limbs to fall off. He took his lighter and flicked it. He set it onto the body, and watched it until the sprinklers in the room went on. His tears outdid the amount of water in the room.

OOC: God damnit. Stupid router dies when all this happens! Someone wanna TG me a re-cap here?

Now, where to put Zed...

IC: Zed woke up from his well needed 16 hours of sleep( :lol: ) and put his armor back on. After stepping outside the dorm and entering the main building, then going to another, he noticed something. No one seemed to be about and the few people he had seen looked scared or sad. Okay, this isn't normal. Scared, I'm used to. Sad? That isn't a reaction someone has ever had to me. Something just isn't right here.

He moved back into the main building and walkied down the corridors looking for anyone at all. He walked up to the AC room's door and saw a mix of water and blood leaking under it. Opening the door he saw a few pices of meat and signs of a small fire.

He quickly closes the door and decides that more is happening here than he really wants to know about.

Lana woke up, showered and dressed. She took the time to pick something comfortable and dark in colour. There was a lot of violence in this place and the blood wouldn't show.

She grabbed her bag ensuring her book was tucked safely inside. After all, she needed something to keep her occupied for the day. She knew at this rate she would have to stock up on her reading material.

She left her room and headed for something to eat. Entering the nearest place, she ordered her food. While she waited for it to arrive, she allowed herself a quick scan of the room. Empty.

Wandering around and seeing absolutly no one but staff members who refused to talk to him, Zed clomps towards an open field to make a clear uplink with the ship in orbit. Sending a signal he gets a whole lot more than he expected: Intelligence reports Ravelyn Shentavo deceased, cause unknown. General public is not aware as off yet. When he asked how the orbiting ship got this info, the comm officer replied, We got it from intelligence. If someone told me how they got it, they'd have his vocal chords removed.

Satisfied, Zed walked towards the resturant and entered. Empty save a few waiters and a customer, he sits down and order his food. Taking off his helmet he stares out the window.

Lana looks up as another person enters the restaurant. She smiled to herself. At least I'm not the only person here. She sighed. Although I may as well be.

Just then her food arrived. She picked up her fork and started to eat.

Zed didn't seem to notice when his food arrived. He just sat there and stared. Rave. Leader of a nation, head of this school, ancient vampire... and the one person that could help me. Now she is dead. He looks down at the now cold food and eats it anyway, then gets up and walks out.

Eclipse entered the restaurant, stepping aside to avoid a tall man in battle armour. She stepped inside, swore, and walked outside again, stepping into the bar. The bartender wasn't there. Eclipse took a beer, left money on the counter, and stepped out.

This is gonna be a long day...

An intense clarity abosrbed Kain, the Brightblade's loving embrace was wrapped around Kain's arm, the spirit of the blade embracing it's old master.

Kain followed the odd signal....it was Ravelyn, yet....not.

No anger, no rage consumed Kain. Only needed answers to his questions, and if Ravelyn would be ok. It was only right that Kain should protect Rave after all she had done for him and his people.

All the teachers know...and Vaughn's body has the capacity to be telepathic. Daja and Qui know all of what's going on...the students, including Kenja, are completely clueless...as far as you're concerned Rave's dead...even her soul is gone..

Qui was with Vaughn, and had just finished a discussion. Blood was on the walls from the unfortunate Cyro, who he used to unleash his rage. Vaughn turned toward Kain...

Domino looks at Rave's body and then at Daja, "So, she really is dead. This is interesting. I was sent here to find out what happened and find out how to fix it." She laughed bitterly. "They have powers I can't imagine and they send me to fix it. That'd be like Danny DaVito playing for the Lakers."

Daja laughed slightly.

Daja: There is nothing you can do...she is gone...it is beyond our powers. *he sighed...almost as if he didn't think her gone at all...as if he were denying her death. With the knowledge he aquired...he had every reason to act this way*

Domino eyed him suspiciously for a second, "Well, if I can't fix it.... at least tell me what happened."

Voltar thought about the situation. He had wandered around the Central Tower but this place was like a fortress: marines everywhere, cameras, thermal and movement detectors. He even guessed some of the floors had to be wired.

I'll need them to get out of the building if I want to reach this Alexei.

He remembered Cecilia's latest words just before he left.

"Use your powers wisely. Zacharian may have only one apprentice but that doesn't mean he doesn't have friends. You'll be on his grounds and even dead he may prove to be dangerous. Be invisible."

Meanwhile, on the other side of the Barrier:

The rocks exploded into bits in a flash.

Maybe it was a little too much.

Vaughn was trying to get used to his new powers. Tests had proven deadly but not really controlled.

I must be careful not to damage the Barrier, he thought, looking at the sky.

The image of Rave was always in his mind, like an obsession.

I do hope Elaïne did as I wished.

He sat down on the ground.

"I love you."

Elaïne sat down at the fountain. She was recapitulating all she knew about soul manipulation but nothing seemed to fit with the situation. Two body, two souls, so why would Rave have Zacharian's powers? That made no sense, especially given the specificity of their respective bloods. She was focussed on the battle trying to figure out what could have happened that was eluding her.

They sacrificed one another in order to save their love.

Suddenly, she found it.

"What's mine is yourse and what's yourse is mine," she muttered to herself. "Of course."

She went down on her knees, drawing Rave's and Zacharian's respective positions in the Porté knife room at the moment they...

"... got married. That's what this sentence is all about, isn't it?" she whispered amused.

She looked at the symbol formed by the rocks and the two beings that had exchanged much more than words.

Good god. This can't be a coincidence.

Elaïne passed many minutes, staring at what she had just traced in the sand. Slowly, the truth was finding its way to her consciousness.

Lana finished eating and left the restaurant. She walked slowly back to her room. She let her eyes roam across the buildings, the fields and the people walking around.

Upon entering her room, she got her suitcase from the wardrobe and started to put her things in. She had one last look around; her gaze falling on the picture by the bed. Walking over, she picked it up and lay it carefully on top of her clothes.

She smiled as she picked up her bags and carried them slowly to the car. Allowing herself a minute to mentally assess what she was walking away from, she got in and started the engine. By the following day, she would be back in Tartarus.

Elaïne was walking without even looking where she was. She crossed the road without even noticing the sound of an engine.

As Lana drove around the bend, she saw someone walking across the road oblivious to her presence. She stopped the car, and honked her horn. Some people deserve to get killed, she thought as she waited for her to get out of the way.

Elaïne turned at the car, she had the face of someone awakening from a coma. But, as an elf, she was still fantastically beautiful and charismatic.

"Oh.. err... sorry..." she babbled.

Her eyebrows bent.

Leaving? she sent directly into Lana's mind.

Lana felt suddenly confused as the word popped into her head, and it took her a moment to figure out what was happening. She looked at the woman standing in front of her and smiled.

"Yeah, I figure I don't fit in here." She pulled a wry face. "Thought it was best to leave."

Elaïne had the most friendly smile. She remembered all the times when her brother told her he thought he couldn't fit anywhere.

"Sometimes it is difficult to get accepted," she said to Lana. "Sometimes it's even a struggle."

She closed her eyes, concentrating on Lana.

"But I don't sense anything in you that would prevent you from staying at this Academy. What's the matter?"

Through a tone, it could easily be heard she was truly caring about the situation.

Where are you, brother, Elaïne thought as she was observing Lana's ressemblance to him.

Voltar outdid himself. Bribery was like a second nature to him. He knew there was an official reception that were to take place for the inauguration of the new McMurphy Corporation floor. Most ambassadors should be there... that would surely include this Sir Craddock and his bodyguard. Getting employed as a waiter proved to be the easiest thing on Earth... even if he actually was on another planet.

Zacharian died and so will his apprentice, I shall be rewarded, Voltar thought, putting his smoking on.

Elaïne smiled. Remembering another of her brother's favorite sentence: 'Human beings are remarquable by their lack of knowledge and the fact they are the primary host of all the knowledge on Earth. I'd die to be human.'

"That's because you're different... un-enhanced like you said, that you are vital to a place like this."

She looked in direction of the Academy.

"Most of the people in that place have forgotten what it meant to live. You, on the other hand, know what it means to lack time and, hence, are able to take such decisions as leaving the place... trying not to be noticed."

She laughed a little.

"In my opinion, power and knowledge are two very different matters. Knowledge is a far better weapon than any magical trick. I believe you should stay and learn from this experience. Beside..." she looked around her. "... this place is wonderful, don't you think?"

She looked back at Lana.

"Of course, this choice is yourse. I am not a student or a teacher here and I have no personal interest in your staying. That being said, if you wish, I could teach you things that don't require you to be a super-being."

Vaughn/Rave looked around until she came upon Byram. He smiled at him. Vaughn had mentioned someone..named Alexei...from Valinon. Sure enough a student was coming from VAlinon...coincidence.

Vaughn/Rave: Do you know of someone named Alexei? *he said to him.*

I love you... *she thought to herself. She couldn't get Vaughn out of her head...while she was in Vaughn's head...everything was confusing...she would not be able to use the dark path as well as he did, nor knew how to control the shadows*

Lana shook her head, as she tried to think of an answer. She ran her hand through her brown hair to give herself a few extra seconds.

"I wanted to learn at this academy. I truly did. But the people here..." She sighed. "The people here are only interested in killing, or at the least hurting, each other. So far, that's all I've seen."

She perched herself on the bonnet of the car. "That is not a good place to learn. If violence is all that happens here, then I can experience that anywhere. I was hoping this would be a good place to meet new friends, not gain enemies."

Finally a genuine smile crossed her face. "I would be interested in what you could teach. Perhaps I could put off my decision for a few days."

Zed walked out into a field and begin setting up his weapons. Using his suits sensor suite, he easily picked off one animal after another with his Auto-Blaster and Shard-Gun.

Captain Alexei Trosky of His Majesty's Sardaukar circles his opponent, inside one of the spacious rec halls of the Valinon embassy to Underaloz. He brings his British Pattern sword to en guard position, and his Nightwatch opponent brings his own straight-blade katana into Old Earth Japanese equivalent. On the catwalk circling the room, Sir Arthur Craddock watches with interest. But it is the man next to him that Alexei is intent on watching. Bayushi Shoju, Daimyo of the disgraced Scorpion Clan, who betrayed his own fatherland and is now Ziegler's top lieutenant.
Alexei turns back to the Nightwatch man that came with Bayushi, after several minutes of studying of each others positions, the ESS man makes the first move.
It is a blinding fast eruption of movement that comes next, and the Nightwatch man locks with the Sardaukar Captain. The metallic screech of metal on metal fills the room as the two blades meet, parry, and attack.
From the catwalk, Craddock watches with Bayushi Shoju.
"I here tell that President Vaughn has left Underaloz?" says the Scorpion.
"Indeed off to some place called Shentavo."
"Prince Rowald is there as well, it is an academy."
"Interesting," says Craddock more intent on the dueling match than the despicable Scorpion Lord. Last of his kind, Bayushi represents a defeated nation, and he only lived because he threw himself at the ruthless Jack Ziegler's mercy. Strangely enough the ancient ESS Director and ruthless cloak and dagger man of the Empire had welcomed the renegade Scorpion Clan.
"Let us enjoy the match, Bayushi. We can discuss politics later."
"As you wish, My Lord," says the Scorpion in a vaguely condescending fashion.
Craddock feels secure here in the embassy, surrounded by the security measures hand designed by Alexei. But he realizes that for the same reason Valinon fencers fight with real blades, there is always danger in even safe situation. After all, the Empire is now vast, and has many enemies, some of which even the Master of a Thousand Eyes Bayushi does not know of.

Lana shook her head, as she tried to think of an answer. She ran her hand through her brown hair to give herself a few extra seconds.

"I wanted to learn at this academy. I truly did. But the people here..." She sighed. "The people here are only interested in killing, or at the least hurting, each other. So far, that's all I've seen."

"Take as much time as you want to. I'd be glad to learn you the things you would like to. No more, no less. I believe everyone is entitled to decide what one wants to know."

She looked around as to make sure no one was around.

"I go by the name Helen here, but my real name is Elaïne. I usually prefer to be in the woods, so you have better chances to meet me there than inside a building."

Domino eyed him suspiciously for a second, "Well, if I can't fix it.... at least tell me what happened."Daja's response?

"Well, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Lana." She offered the woman her hand, and smiled. "I shall keep my eyes open for you whenever I am near the woods."

She turned and got back into her car. Turning it around, she headed back to the academy building, and her dorm.

Peter Benton looked at his suit. Armani. That was what the President of the Council had decided.

I hate it when a president decides what his officials have to wear. At least I don't have to disguise entirely like these Valinon guys have to.

He was still puzzled by all this Valinon embassy affair.

Why the Hell do they have an embassy here? Sometimes I wish I could access some secured files... maybe this hacker could...

The bell of the elevator rang. He had arrived at the floor of the Valinon embassy.

Here we go for the Carnival.

He spotted a Valinon guard.

What their name again? Sausagear?

"Hello, Peter Benton. I'm here to escort Sir Craddock to the inauguration of the new offices floor #256."

He handed his McMurphy corporation id card.

Vacit nears the Underaloz rooms, he brings forth from his memory a list of people sent to the Academy by Underaloz. There had been a Vaughn on the list, but Vacit had assumed it was a son or relative of the President, not the man himself. Now as he approaches, Vacit is unsure. The reports of the Enclave incident are troubling, and highly classified. His Majesty has a certain amount of hidden concerned for Valinon's friend, nothing to arouse to much suspicion, but when loyal officers seem to be evading reporting on the matter, it makes His Majesty and his Myrmidons suspicous. Personally, Vacit thinks that the whole situation needs to be reinvestigated, but His Majesty is more willing to maintain good relations than prod to hard and cause a wound.
But, Vacit thinks to himself, I don't see why I can't prod a little on my own as long as it is not too harmful.

Daja: She died saving Vaughn's life..that is all you need to know. *he turned and began to walk away.* She killed herself for Vaughn...it's that simple...

The Sardaukar looks at Benton and his credentials.
"Sir Craddock is currently in the rec room, I will take you to him," Benton is taken back into the elevator and it begins to descend. After several minutes, the doors open again. He is guided down a long hall toward a open door, where the sounds of clashing metal echo. They step through the door.
Benton sees to men battling it out in a massive ring elevated slightly out of the main floor. However, the Sardaukar begins to round the room's circular catwalk where to men are standing. One of Old Earth Japanese extract and the other is Sir Arthur Craddock.
"My Lord," says the Sardaukar and salutes. "This is Peter Benton of McMurphy Enterprises. He said he was to escort you inauguration?"
"I remember something vaguely," Craddock watches the two men looked in combat with fascination. He turns to Benton briefly.
"Tell me, Mr. Benton, must we leave now?"
Althrough this, the other man stands silent, his black eyes boring in to Benton. Saying nothing just watching, evaluating, it looks very much like a predator glancing at its next meal.

The Sardaukar looks at Benton and his credentials.
"Sir Craddock is currently in the rec room, I will take you to him," Benton is taken back into the elevator and it begins to descend. After several minutes, the doors open again. He is guided down a long hall toward a open door, where the sounds of clashing metal echo. They step through the door.
Benton sees to men battling it out in a massive ring elevated slightly out of the main floor. However, the Sardaukar begins to round the room's circular catwalk where to men are standing. One of Old Earth Japanese extract and the other is Sir Arthur Craddock.
"My Lord," says the Sardaukar and salutes. "This is Peter Benton of McMurphy Enterprises. He said he was to escort you inauguration?"
"I remember something vaguely," Craddock watches the two men looked in combat with fascination. He turns to Benton briefly.
"Tell me, Mr. Benton, must we leave now?"
Althrough this, the other man stands silent, his black eyes boring in to Benton. Saying nothing just watching, evaluating, it looks very much like a predator glancing at its next meal.

Benton smiled at the japanese man and at Craddock.

"Oh, there's is no hurry, Sir Craddock. I doubt all the other ambassadors are still arrived. It's not like all the embassies are in the Central Tower."

"Good, good. Five more minutes should be enough," then there comes a might clang from the arena. Craddock whirls around, the straight edge katana lies embedded in the material of the ring. The Nightwatch man is kneeling out for it, but has stopped midway through, Alexei's sword bare centimeters from his neck.
"Nevermind, Mr. Benton, it seems that we will be ready even faster," Craddock turns back to the ring.
"Captain, an excellent job, I believe that Vice-Director Bayushi's question on Sardaukar skill has been answered."
"Quite," says the Scorpion still staring at Benton.
"Good, then get ready, we must leave for an inauguration soon."
"Yes, My Lord," the Sardaukar bows at the waste and sheaths his sword. The ESS man draws forth his own from the ring. The two bow, but the Nightwatch man's eyes drift to the Scorpion with a certain amount of fear.
At last Bayushi turns away from Benton, "Perhaps I can face you, Captain, when you return from the festivities."
Bayushi bows to Craddock, "I must attend to some business for Director Ziegler, My Lord. I will return to the embassy soon. Lieutenant, make haste and meet me in my quarters."
"Yes, Vice Director," says the Nightwatch man, his head bowed in so much more than defeat. The Scorpion leave headed for the elevator.

As Vaughn looks at Byram...Rave thinks of Michael. She loved him so much...wasn't it just a few weeks ago that they had become engaged, and Vaughn had retured to her? Now he had been taken away again...she would do anything to get him back...

Vaughn/Rave: I am not exactly sure...I have somewhat of a memory loss...tell me, where can I find Alexei? *She covered. Rave wished she was in her own body, with Vaughn in his own, holding her, and never letting go. She would never be able to do the things that Michael did...never*

Strolling about the grounds to himself Calico took the time to think. Think about why he did come here and wonder how what has happened will affect his goals. He decided to put off the visit to see Rave's body, he knew it wasnt something he was ready for and instead sat on the steps of the dorm building and just watched.

Watched the people pass by, some with a nod or a hello others not making eye contact just walking by on their own buisness all the while Calico sat thinking. One of the women he had seen around but never talked to hurried by, not speaking, her baggage under her arms looking like a woman with a goal. She hopped into a car and began driving slowly away from the campus and Calico watched thinking. What was her goal, she didnt seem to achieve what ever she wanted to here and was on her way elsewhere to do it. However, the car stopped and another woman walked up and began chatting with her. He could imagine the way the conversation was going, "why are you leaving?" "I didnt find what I wanted here." "stay, its early and things are quite hectic right now." Doubt in the mind of the one in the car, reasurance from the other, finally leading to her turning the car around and driving back towards the buildings. And Calico wonder which won over, reason, doubt, determination, or couriosity.

He leaned back on the stairs and took a deep breath, closing his eyes he felt the wind rush over him a warm feeling of life running through his body as he fell in tune with everything around him. A bird fluttered on an oak tree and took flight, his body at ease Calico could feel the soft wind from the birds flapps as it swiftly glidded through the air untill pertching on the eves of the dorm building. It sat there, unaware of the types of dangers that had been present near the academy, just sitting there totaly unconcerned with the world outside of its own existence, Calico could feel it smile and he smiled.

"Hello" he said to the young lady as she started up the stairs, his eyes still closed.

Vacit senses something is wrong with the Underaloz President. And the question just asked doesn't help matters.
"Memory loss? Terrible. However, you better than I would know where Captain Trotsky is, Mr. President. He is after all Sir Craddock's Sardaukar adjutant."

Craddock turns to Benton, "Once Captain Trotsky is ready, we shall leave, Mr. Benton."

"Take your time, Sir Craddock," Benton replied with a very respectful gesture. "I am here to escort you and in no way to hurry you."

"May I ask what the reason is, My Lord?" says Surkov. This had been a busy day, typically the Valinon embassy to Underaloz received few visitors aside from President Vaughn and incomers from the Empire.
"Sir Craddock is after all preparing to leave to attend your inauguration ceremonies."

Vaughn went up to Rave's room. She didn't loose her memory, and knew where her weapons were. She wondered if the commands still worked.
Vaughn/Rave: Weapon! *she said...nothing happened* Damnit...*she went over and pressed a button behind the dresser and the wall flipped to reveal a bunch of weapons. She grabbed two guns and placed them inside Vaughn's armadi suit...she never could get use to this. She couldn't wear any of her clothes, so she managed with what he had. She took a small vile from the wall, as well as three small orbs, the old power...she smiled at this and lay in her bed for a while...just a week ago she had been there with Vaughn...*she reached in her trenchcoat and pulled out a key she recognized all to well*

The last sentence was said firmly, with all the authority of someone in charge.

Domino walked around the grounds slowly, noticing how quiet things were. It made her uneasy. Moving around a corner she sees another empty walkway.

Sir Craddock had been pulling on the formal trappings of his ambassadorship when he receives Surkov's call.
"Tell Mr. Witz I will be with him in a moment."
"Yes, My Lord," Aurthur pulls on his great coat and attaches the pins to his shoulder boards, he looks at himself in the mirror.
"And I thought the Armada's dress uniforms were bad," then a knock comes at the door.
"Enter," Alexei walks in.
"Ah, Alexei, come we must stop by and speak with Mr. Witz first, then we can be on our way."
"Of course, My Lord," they take an elevator down to the public areas of the embassy.

Back at the Academy, Vacit finally nerves himself enough to run a more specific scan toward Vaughn. He senses something else besides Vaughn's personality, a second personality. Stronger than the "ghost" signature of Alexei he had while hw as meditating. Then he senses its movements as it readies weapons.
Vacit pulls out quickly, hoping he had not lingered too long in Vaughn's mind. He turns on the of the corner's in the hall and listens patiently, keeping his senses pushed outward.
"I am really getting too old for this sort of thing," he mumbles to himself but stands at ready for what may come.

Rave sensed something in her head. She turned toward the door, someone was there. The weapons weren't meant for this one...they were meant for the journey to Valinon she would have to make to get Vaughn's soul restored, and hers in the right place. She opened the door to come face to face with Vacit.

Vaughn/Rave: Can I help you? *she raised an eyebrow...wishing Michael was here to hold her*

Witz looked at Noname, the japanese Sigma marine that was wearing a katana and had arrived with Genesis and him through the emergency elevator.

"Behave," he said, feeling Noname didn't need to be told such a thing.

Witz looked at Gene and pointed at a black man in another room.

"This is Benton. He works for the McMurphy Corporation. They have a celebration going on since they installed new offices in the tower. We couldn't arrive at a worse moment."

He passed his hand on her face, softly.

"You'll see, Craddock is a good man. I'm sure he will help us."

"Perhaps," six objects emerge from a pouch on Vacit's belt. Three are fine-tipped bullet-like objects, on is a thin silver disk, and the other two look like small razor blades. "If you are indeed, Mr. Vaughn, which I think is a fact that might need a greater delving into. You are the President of Underaloz are you not?"
The objects float behind Vacit's back, and the begin to form an orbit with each other.

"Pardon me for keeping you waiting, Mr. Witz, I was having to prepare for a inauguration ceremony at McMurphy Enterprises. What is it I can do for you?"

Vaughn/Rave: I am...Michael Vaughn. *she said softly...she missed her fiance...was he alright? She loved him so...* I wouldn't do that if I were you Vacit...I am the president of Underaloz...my assistant, or as I would refer to as my left hand...is Witz. I was recently engaged to Ravelyn Shentavo and have been here for exactly two and a half weeks now. My authority doesn't need questioning. What are you doing here? You are but a student in a teacher's dorm...

"You are sadly mistaken. I am a servant of His Majesty sent to the Academy to observe the teachings of Shentavo, and I am by no means a student. And, if I might be so bold, why does your mind speak in two when you are supposedly one?" Vacit offer his closest scrutiny to Vaughn now. He shrinks the sphere of his senses to a more immediate area, and readies the skills that he himself developed, it is obvious that whatever this is, it is decidedly more than just the Underaloz head of state.

He got closer to Craddock, speaking at a low volume.

"I have reasons to believe some persons as of yet unknown are planning for my assassination. Problem is chances are some of this persons actually do work in one or several security corporation. So I cannot trust the Sotek, the Sigma or the WP Corporations. To be honest, this is quite unclear. This man..." he waved at Noname. "... came to warn me. I dunno who he is nor who he is working for but fact is he already saved my life once."

Witz paused.

"As you know, Mr.Vaughn is not here and, to my knowledge, you are the only person I can trust for the time being."

He got even closer, speaking into Craddock's ear.

"Apprently, all of this is not... natural. If you see what I mean," he added his eyes wandering in Alexei's direction.

Eclipse wandered about, seeking something to do, someone to talk to. Eventually she made her way into an Excercise Room, and began shredding several punching bags.

Zed checked his uplink again and found official orders from Lord Tian in New Skye City. Oh, man... Opening them, a holo-message is sent to a data chip while he reads.

Minutes later he walks out of his room in a uniform, not his usual armor. As he walks outside, he notices the air feels a lot chillier than in the hot suit. Moving into the main building he looks around. He sees no one in sight. These vampires sure know how to hide...

(there is only Vaughn's voice heard...Vaughn's soul is gone...Rave's soul is in his body...I'm trying to get it back so...*bip* and so i can see my fiance again...*goes of into a daze* :roll: )

Vaughn/Rave: You are mistaken. I am one. You have no business in my fiance's room. I suggest you leave, and let me grieve her death alone. *he said, tears forming in his eyes*

Vaugn passes him in the door way and disappears into the dark path. It was the first time Rave ever attempted it. Vaughn must have had some skill, as it wasn't as difficult as she thought it to be. In seconds she was in the main hall, looking over her lifeless body..this made her think of Vaughn...she thought of him deeply...

Noname bent his head slightly as to reassure Genesis. He quickly turned back on Witz and Craddock, observing the scene. Genesis could see his eyes passing on the other man from time to time. Apprently, Noname was considering him to be the biggest threat in the room.

Genesis thought to herself.. the biggest threat is the one who can get either their hands, arms, or fangs around you're neck the quickest.. SHe wondered what he was up to...and was extremely unsure of him with all of his nods. Maybe she should tell him to get another apple..and remember to close the door this time..

Vacit feels like a fool, and yet he watches as Vaughn disappears. He has wondered of this phenomeon since he handle the debriefing of the Enclave incident, and hopes it is not entirely common. He leaves Vaughn's quarters, forces are moving now which even Valinon cannot fully understand, and it is critical that he alert homeworld at once.

"Now, Mr. Witz, you will stay here, where I can have a greater control on events. Patrols at the embassy will be increased, discreetly of course, if there is an assassin we do not want to tip our hand to him. Also, I will ready a courier ship, should things grow to severe, I am afraid it would be best for you to leave Underaloz for a time. The Empire has many places that we can effectively hide you for awhile at least, and I think that Count Leopold (First Minister of Foreign Affairs) will be willing to help a friend in need. Now, I think it would also be wise to take you to the Labyrinth, seeing as how windows are a liability in this situation. And that way you have a goodly amount of reinforce neo titanium and ferrocrete between whatever may come. Perhaps we can contact Mr. Vaughn as well?" Craddock begins to escort Witz from the room and toward the elevators, he carefully avoids the windows just to be safe.

He waved at Genesis.

He waved at Noname and suddenly had a strange smile.

"Keigo, my personal bodyguard."

Qui walks into Zed by accident. He had been doing that all day. He didn't stagger a bit, his strong frame taking the impact as if it were nothing. The infamous manipulations teacher looked at him, as if expecting him to do something.

Genesis: :shock: Witz...it seems we have some problems. *she didn't know whether to overjoyed or worried for Vaughn...Rav ecoping in a male vampire's body? Wow....in Vaughn's body? Where was Vaughn...her powers were gone? She had his.....this was quite something. She pulled him off to the side and communicated all of what Daja had said to her telepathically to Witz*

Witz face was contracted. Genesis felt something strange, like awakening in his mind but it disapeared as quickly as it had came.

"So Vaughn is dead." he said to himself.

"Madam Shentavo," Sir Craddock bows as regally as he can manage. "And I trust you will assist in our efforts, Mr. Keigo?"
At the same time, the elevator in front of the four opens. But it is occupied in the worst sense Craddock could hope for when he looks up.
Inside stands Bayushi Shoju, dressed in his very martial and spartan uniform wearing the long over coat with the ESS stylized lettering. He is flanked not by typical Nightwatch personnel, but by two Scorpion Clan warriors. They are each dressed in a uniform that very closely matches their daimyo masters.
"Ah, Sir Craddock, pardon me I was just leaving," Bayushi says in a voice that is silent and yet speaks volumes.
"I can see that, Vice Director."
"Yes," the two men stare at each other. Then Bayushi turns to his men, "Come along, we mustn't keep the Ambassador and his guest waiting."
After Bayushi and his men leave, headed toward the main doors of the embassy, Craddock sees the lieutenant from the fencing match, looking rather defeated and with hints of fear. But his gaze meets Craddock, and he sees a burning fire in them not to fail in what task he has been given. The lieutenant leaves, but does not follow Bayushi.
The ESS is really starting to run out of their bounds, Craddock thinks to himself.
"Right this way, Mr. Witz, Madam Shentavo, Mr. Keigo," the four enter the elevator, and Craddock lightly taps a number sequence in the panel. The elevator begins to descend to the lowest levels of the embassy, where Craddock will board another elevator and enter the Labyrinth.
"Once we have reach the Labyrinth we can try and contact Mr. Vaughn."

Genesis: No, he's not..theres still a chance...Daja said something about Alexei knowing how to retrieve his soul and set things straight...*she paused then looks at Alexei..* speak of the devil..or the angel...

(OOC: on the other side of the galaxy, however there is a satellite around Earth with gateways leading to the planet. So you can drop someone there (there are shuttles with tunnels leading to the gateways) and the person can get to the planet just by walking ;) )

Witz thought intensely. He looked at Noname who hadn't said a word and was standing, neutral, in a corner.

"Maybe Vaughn could have had an idea. But I'm not him," Witz finally said.

His eyes were wet, but he managed to get passed his feelings. His will seemed to be incredibly more powerful than Gene would have imagined.

"Yes. Tell Rave to come to the Enclave. If someone can find a way, it has to be her."

Genesis nodded and relayed the message. Meanwhile...

They got into a lot of trouble. So much, that Rave ended up sacrificing her own life for Vaughn to live. In short...Rave's body is now lifeless..and Vaughn is alive. Rave's soul is in Vaughn's body...Vaughn's soul is behind that gateway you closed off...it's a lot more complicated...but in short...you need to find a way to give Rave access to that gateway...so she can return Vaughn's soul to his body...and to restore her own. *She left out whatever she could...and got to the point* Vaughn communicated to Rave...that you were the one to know how to open it...you are her only chance left to get Vaughn back...

He walked to the Sardaukar Craddock had sent to bring alcohol to Witz and took the glass. He then walked to Witz and gave him the glass.

Rave hopped into to her own Menza ship. She hadn't used this in a while...and there was only one other...that belonged to...another... It was the fastest ship that the nation owned...she made her way to the Enclave..as quickly as possible, Her lifeless body in the seat next to her. She glanced over occasionally...wondering if she would ever see through those crimson eyes again.

He smiled..that's a first.. Genesis thought to herself.

Craddock steeples his fingers and places them on his lower lip, he appears to be in deep thought.
"My Lady, I do not understand how Mr. Vaughn's Enclave works, I'm not even entirely sure how we closed it. Many of Valinon's top scientists have since gone back to study the Enclave and they cannot make heads or tails of hit. Academician Zakharov himself even retired in intellectual defeat a few months ago. And frankly, certain elements of the incidents at the Enclave have dripped down to the populace and some parts have been overblown to various degrees. And Valinon, being largely a deeply religious nation has mixed feelings of dealing with such artifacts. There have been several mass protests when we sent our last civilian science team," for the first time, the Underaloz delegation notices that most of the officer have cruxifixes hidden under their dress jackets. In fact, Sir Craddock, Special Liaison Nelson, and Captain Del appear to be the only exceptions immediately visible.
"However, I think it might be wise to contact our people at the Academy as well. Mr. Vacit, of the Special Service, has dealings with situations such as these. Mr. Nelson, would you be so kind as to contact him?"
The somber dressed man nods and pulls forth a small keypad and begins to enter a stream of numbers and letters. The middle of the table opens and a circular holo projection plate appears.
"We are waiting to secure the connection," Nelson says in a voice that is barely above a whisper.
The Sardaukar Craddock dispatched returns with a glass of something for Witz, "Will there be any other takers?" Craddock asks.
After a few minutes, a hologram of a man appears on the plate. He is dressed in a uniform exactly like Nelson's, and although his hair is white he look remarkable well-preserved.
"Sir Craddock, I am at your service."
"Mr. Vacit, we have reason to believe that something may be wrong with Mr. Vaughn. It pertains to the Enclave."
"Yes, there is," Vacit says and arches an eyebrow as he sweeps the figures at the table. "And apparently it is at a higher level than I thought," his gaze settles on Witz.
"Mr. Vaughn is no longer at the Academy, he left using Underaloz's....unusual means of transportation," Vacit's eyes move from Witz and to Genesis.

He looks across the table at Genesis and then moves his eyes toward Nelson. The man was unreadable, but a few moments ago he had looked around at the same time Alexei had felt it. Could it be possible the Myrmidons could sense these things to. But Nelson's reaction had been breif, more like a man sensing something not entirely there or seeing a specter out of the corner of his eye.
Forget it, Alexei thinks to himself and listens to Vacit.

Witz drank his glass all at once, then took another. Slowly is mind was getting back to its normal behavior.

How could we have this gateway working.

He was trying to figure it out, completly into his thoughts.

And I am loathe to meddle in things I do not understand, and the Enclave is one of them. This is a matter that I feel can best be handled be you, Captain Trotsky, Mr. Nelson, Mr. Witz, and the various other members of the Underaloz delegation. However, remember this, last time you used the Enclave we had a suitable means of sealing it off should something have gone wrong. I strongly urge you to do the same again, and if need be I'll have an official signature put to that." (OOC: Underaloz, you know what the Valinon safety net was.)

Rave looked at her body. It was strange...she could never get used to this at all...she needed to be back in her own skin. She needed to have Vauhgn there to hold her, to love her...She couldn't help but recall the time spent with him....she would never give up on opening that gateway...with Alexei's help or not..

"I agree the gateway has to be locked at all costs if we were to re-open it... but how could we? If I read the reports correctly, the energy source was on the other side right?"

Genesis: how did you close it last time?
Witz turned to her.

"We intented to nuke it, but Vaughn managed to destroy its energy source... on the other side. That's the whole point. The energy source is on the other side."

Craddock looks uncertain about speaking for a moment then removes his steeples fingers from his lower lip.
"Correct, Mr. Witz. However, we had a very extreme method of closing one way when Captain Trotsky, Mr. Vaughn, and myself went in. At Mr. Vaughn's request, we had stationed a HAVOK tactical nuclear weapon at the entrance. If we were not back in two hours, Researcher Davis was to activate a fifteen minutes timer and detonate the HAVOK if we did not return. That way we could be sure at least one side was closed in a very permanent sense. I cannot say how we would reactivate the power source on our side of the gateway."

Witz looked intensely at Alexei.

"Did Vaughn tell you anything? Anything at all that could be helpful?"

Nelson has been silently trying to delve into the minds of the Underaloz citizens every since he felt that vague imprint ghost in the command center. The Mymidons want desperately to know the connection between the Dark Path and telepaths, at any cost. Director Vacit wants to know why telepaths can sometimes sense things moving in it and sometimes not. Abruptly the tingling stops, but Nelson continues to stare at Witz.

Domino sits on a rooftop and looks out over the academy. She had seen the ship take off and knew that whoever was on it had taken Rave's body. She would have gone to Daja and ask about it, but he didn't seem like he was going to be very talkative.

Vaughn/Rave quickly exited the dark path as close to the building as possbile. She made her way up the elevator..she was so disoreinted. She opened the door slowely.

"Welcome Rave," he said with a sad tone.

Zed keeps wandering around the corridors of the academy and starts to get annoyed at the lack of people.

"This place looks like a ghost town," she said, walking towards him.

Vaughn/ Rave: Give me an hour in that gateway...*she said in a tone of highest authority. She looked at Alexei...and somethin in Alexei stirred...* Please...*he said softly, still carrying the angels body*

OOC: Ah, thank you. Sorry about not remembering that.

"Wait," Alexei suddenly looks back up. "The Enclave is a network of gateways. Mr. Vaughn said he hoped that there were no others like the Mirror."
"Possible," Craddock says. "We never sent teams to the other gateways, just the Mirror where we entered with Mr. Vaughn. Perhaps it is time to take a look at the other gateways. For some reason, I don't think that Mr. Vaughn was as right as he had hoped."
Then Vaughn enters and Craddock sees the body.
He hits the comm system, "Get me a medic!"
He turns to Vaughn, "Are you all right?"

Craddock is still on the comm, "Prepare my shuttle. Alexei, I want you to take my shuttle. I will stay here and watch after Mr. Witz. It is apparent that we must go into the depths once more, although I have a feeling we may all live to regret it."

"Wait," Alexei suddenly looks back up. "The Enclave is a network of gateways. Mr. Vaughn said he hoped that there were no others like the Mirror."
"Possible," Craddock says. "We never sent teams to the other gateways, just the Mirror where we entered with Mr. Vaughn. Perhaps it is time to take a look at the other gateways. For some reason, I don't think that Mr. Vaughn was as right as he had hoped."
Then Vaughn enters and Craddock sees the body.
He hits the comm system, "Get me a medic!"
He turns to Vaughn, "Are you all right?"

Witz pondered the information.

"As far as I know, we have studied all the gateways. We even use them... unless..."

He looked up at Craddock.

"Did the Mirror have any typical signature? Maybe Vaughn was talking about another Mirror, burried like the one we found?"

Rave/Vaughn: Yes..I'm fine...however, his soul isn't. I need to get through that gateway to find him and restore everything, hopefully. I ask you...give me one hour to find him and get out...*she set the angel's body on the ground softly.*

"There is a way we can find out. Mortimer!" Craddock shouts apparently into then air.
Suddenly a figure appears in the middle of the catwalk, a man dressed in a simple robe of a monk.
"Sir Craddock, I am at your service."
Craddock turns to Witz and the others, "AI."
He turns to Mortimer, "Go through the archives, get me all data from the Vortex at the Enclave. We can use the sensor readings that Davis took of the Mirror."
"Yes, Sir Craddock," the monk disappears once again.
Craddock turns back to the others, "We took very comprehensive sensor readings on various spectrum and using nearly all the equipment we had on the science vessel Vortex. We can use that and scan the Enclave again, if there is another Mirror, our sensors can find it."

Genesis: *smiles simply, and looks at Witz.., then to Vaughn, then to Rave's lifeless body on the ground*

The results proved to be a deception. After 2 hours, they were sure there was strictly no activity similar to the one of the Mirror on the Enclave.

"Of course, Witz finally said... it has to be activated first... we will never find them."

They talked a lot about the issue. When...

"If I understood correctly, this cavern was huge. Maybe there is a way to detect cavities of such a size."

Everybody turned to the one who had spoken: it was Noname.

"Academician Zakharov teams took many seismographic soundings. And we did studies of much of the Enclave. Mortimer, charts on general geological survey."
"Accessing, Sir Craddock," several maps of the underground warrens of the Enclave appear. Some are flatscreen others 3D holograms.
"Let us hope that Zakharov was as thorough as he usually is."

Rave put her hand on Witz' shoulder.

Rave/Vaughn: I will get him back...don't worry...*she said as if she knew how Witz felt...* I love him...I gave him light to conquer the darkness...I gave him myself...

Noname was right. They found 6 other cavities of nearly roughly the same size and with the shape of half a sphere.

How come we didn't think about it? It was so simple, Witz thought.

Then he realized.

"6?!?" he shouted out loud.

Vaughn looked at the caverns. Almost immediately she knew which one it was....she...she had been there before maybe, or in a vision..in Vaughn's mind? Was she accessing his knowledge or memories she could be sure...So many thoughts ran through her head....

Rave/Vaughn: That one...*she pointed to one of the ones that was holographic. She had seen it before....but where. It was the only one where her heart skipped a beat on... his heart...was beating...*

Vaughn stared at the ruins.

Tell me I'm dreaming. These look quite similar to the others.

He stepped in the direction of what surely had been a castle. How much time ago, he didn't know.

So if there are other ruins, there are other gateways. God damnit! Witz, I do hope you're working on this.

Then he felt something. Like a voice. Was it the wind?

but he could swear it was Rave's voice.

"Good God," Craddock says. "If this is correct, and those do have Mirrors, then we just cured one of the symptoms. However, this isn't going to be solved from this distance, and if need be I will personally commandeer the entire Star Armada to help. Short of that, there is a heavy cruiser near by, it was bringing supplies to the embassy. However, I think we might be able to reroute it without too much of ruffling feathers back at the Admirality."
