I found a grocery store that does triple coupons on Saturday!

I saved $47.92 on my groceries!!

that gives me enough money to get my new PS2 (since my old one broke, I can trade the broken one in for $30 and the $47 gives me just enough to buy the refurbished one with a 2 year warranty!!!!!!!!)

whoo hoo!!!!!!!!!!! I am going to get it Monday...........happy happy Smunkee!!!!!!!!

oh, I learned that there was a store with triple coupons.......hahaha.

Did I mention that they had most of my gluten free food too and I saved $3.00 on my waffles?! I got 2 boxes, and they had gluten free cereal on sale for $1 a box, so I bought $7 worth, I am storing them in the deepfreeze.

I think Ruffy would put on a good show, would be worth it to have the ice trays knocked around. :)

I think popcorn tastes better without the butter, at least at the theater I go to. The oil they put on it when they pop it is good enough, they put on twice what they should and tastes excellent. The butter is just... well nasty is a good word. Perhaps your butter is higher quality. :D

I don't have room in my freezer for ice :(

Smunkee's freezer inventory is long and yummy. I freezer cook, so it's empty today, but by Monday night it will have a month's worth of food.....roast, lasagna, chili, enchiladas, casseroles, spaghetti, beef stew, etc. Plus you know Pizza (homemade by neccesity) ice cream (also homemade) sorbet (homemade again) pasta sauces, cakes, cookies, crackers, breads, (all homemade too) cinnamin rolls, candies(yeah yeah homemade) ..........the list goes on forever, and today I added some cereal I found cheap.........so, no room for ice :(

This isn't actually butter, that's why the microwave popcorn is always nasty it's got butter on it, this is coconut oil, it's great. I always wondered why movie theater popcorn tasted so much different than the microwave popcorn that says "movie theater butter" and that's why.......it's not butter at the movie theater but it is butter in the microwave popcorn.

My main goal was to air pop some popcorn for low calorie no fat snackage since I am training for a marathon next year, but I couldn't pass up the free oil from the theater, you know for movie night........

it's not so hard, just make a few dishes one day and freeze them in smaller containers, you can microwave frozen lasagna as easy as you could burritos and it's "real food" ;)

Might have to drop by for a surprise visit. I bet you'll have lots of leftovers. ;)
we actually don't have many, I have to have everything down to a science, over half of our income goes to medical stuff so after you subtract that and our savings we are living 30% over the poverty level :( we eat all our leftovers.

I am surprised I do so much with so little, I kinda take pride in it. It takes tons of planning and the ability to turn off my "instant gratification" thing, but it's worth it if my kids can have a life where they really don't know how hard it is to provide it.

ha! they think we are rich, all of their friends get crap for food (Mc Donalds ect.) my kids get real food, a full meal every night.

We probably could have more money to live on, if we were irresponsible, you know like if we didn't pay cash for hubby's tuition, if we had credit cards, if we weren't putting money away in various savings accounts (Christmas fund, Cobra fund, 401K, mutual fund, CD's, Roth IRA, etc.) but who wants to live super great now and not have anything later. He lost his job 2 years back and we took a 70% cut in pay, but our quality of life didn't change a bit as far as people could tell, we had to quit most of our savings, but other than that, not much changed.

We have 1 car, no cable, basic phone, and we eat out once a month, we do netflix instead of going to the movies, etc. most people think they couldn't live like that, but the scrimping pays off since we are debt free and I can stay home with the kids. I still end up working 65 hours a week doing things I love, but don't get paid for. It's all a trade off, I don't have as much "stuff" but I am happier than most people I know.........and I am having steak for dinner tomorrow. How many people can say that? Most don't think of the future and wouldn't want to live like that but it's great it's great that you can still live good without alot of things.

Btw, I get netflix also, I love having it, get 3 movies at a time and pay $20 a month. Often get 6 a week! Paying less then a dollar a movie is pretty great. :D

Today I re-learned (as I do every day of my life, you'd think I'd get it by now) that, given the chance, people will choose to be rude rather than courteous, inconsiderate rather than thoughtful, irrational rather than rational, impractical rather than practical, ignorant rather than informed, at war with anything rather than at peace with themselves. I learned that I have come closer and closer to hating christianity, even more than before.

I honestly try not to.
Its as if the inherent hippocracy within the religion makes its followers fucking retarded.
I was watching this HBO documentary called "Army of God".
Its about a terrorist group who bombs/kills abortion clinics, and thier doctors who work them.

They have a website, but I'll be goddamned if I link it here.

Mulitiple members have commited murder, or arson, or any number of beatings of patients and doctors.

ALL BECUASE THEY BELIEVE ABORTION IS MURDER.

Get that?

They are willing to KILL to stop doctors from "killing babies".

So, as Im watching, shouting things at my TV, like "you fucking nutjob!" and the like, I realize that even some of the more "normal" christians I talk to, support this kind of thinking.

Even if they wouldnt do it themselves, they support those that do.

The thing is, I know that most decent christians do not support this line of insanity, but the ones that do, are adamant that its ok for them to kill a doctor, to save an unborn baby...(one that will likely be aborted at another clinic anyway).

So...what did I learn today?

I learned that Im having difficulty tolerating a religion.

You need to give me the recipe....

pop some air popped popcorn

stir in marshmallow cream into warm fresh popcorn

form into a ball (be careful not to squish it too much and break the popcorn)

melt milk chocolate chips in the microwave

use a fork to hold on to your popcorn ball, dip into chocolate, let the chocolate "harden" on the ball by setting it on waxed paper and putting in the fridge, repeat with more popcorn balls.

after about an hour in the fridge the chocolate will be a shell around the popcorn ball, then you can eat it.

I learned that women in general if put into a small group get catty and bitchy pretty quickly, and that you never really can grow out of the "highschool" mentality :( why can't we all just act like grown ups??????

Act mature? Why would anyone want to do that? :p

A girl told me recently that if two girls who don't know each other come into close proximity that eye each other and start flinging barbs at each other. Of course she may just have a bit of a personality flaw there herself. ;)

things got a little out of hand at a banquet last night and it carried over into this morning, apparently I am a bitch:confused: oh, and someone's husband has a crush on me and it's somehow my fault, I haven't ever had a conversation with the man at all, ever.

I've learned that Whereyouthinkyougoing has stalker tendencies. :p
I learned that every single time I click on some stupid old thread on which I haven't clicked in what feels like a month I stumble upon some post about me that will totally make me look bad when I reply to it.

I also learned that every single time that happens, I'm driven to reply to it anyway.

Because I suck.

But I'm no stalker!

And now I just know I'll never be able to forget your username ever again and will have to fight the urge to post "Lurker!" every time I see you. And I will have to learn how to fight it, because if I don't, you will come here and say that you learned that I'm a stalker.

And then I would have to come here and write this whole post over again.

And who would want that?

Exactly.
