Hey Unum, I like your additions to your storefront. Haven't looked at it for a few weeks. Nice expansions in it, though you should probably have more munitions and aircraft.

Also, I have a proposal. I was thinking we could have a partnership in the R&D of naval items, as your nation and mine both focus in that area. I have some ideas for ships and planes, but haven't looked for accompanying pics and stuff. I was just wondering if you were interested in such a thing. I also think that we could possibly start selling MOBO's off your store (only to selected nations after checking them out, of course). Let me know, either here or TG's.

Magnus Valerius, unless you plan on bringing your nation up to current tech, I'm not sure there's much I can do. Perhaps the Iowa Class Battleships and maybe the Hellfire class cruisers, but that's all I have in that remote tech level (except of course the Tall Ship Frigates). If you'd like any of these we can accomodate you, but as of now all ships we offer for export are on the storefront.

Alright, I think the Iowas and the Hellfires will do for now. Frigates, though, have already been decommissioned definitely in the navy.

So the order of the day is 3 Iowa Class Battleships (without the missile systems, of course - rocketry's out of the picture) and 5 Hellfire class Heavy Cruisers (without aircraft accommodations).

Don't mind in fitting the ships with steam engines to accommodate our technology? It may cost a bit more for Magnus Valerius, but it does not matter. There's billions in the procurement budget that can be burned.

Huzen Hagen, your order is confirmed. Please allow 3 NS years for delivery.

Magnus Valerius, we can put in steam engines to accomodate your tech level. How would you like us to deliver the ships? You might not want your people to have contact with those of a higher tech level, so would you prefer the skeleton crew to take them somewhere and leave and then have your people pick them up? Also, just out of curiousity, is there anyone on the forums you can RP with your tech level? It will take about 1 and a half years to complete construction of your ships.

Colerica, your order is confirmed. Please allow 2 NS years for delivery.

Thank you all.

Unum Veritas
17-01-2004, 17:33
Magnus, yes the prices will remain the same. The money normally required to purchase the advanced systems has evened out to the same amount in labor to remove the systems from the ships.

Klington, your order is confirmed. Please allow 2 NS years for delivery.

Tiborita, your order is confirmed. Please allow 1 NS year for delivery.

Kormanthor, henceforth it is not necessary to copy the entire listing for each ship, just put the name of it and the quantity you want. Also, the $5 trillion or so would come from your military budget, not your national budget, and your military budget isn't that large (exact numbers below).

Population: 942,000,000
Civil Rights: Very Good
Economy: Powerhouse
GDP per Capita: $25,000
GDP: $23,550,000,000,000

Percentage of GDP Spent on Defense: 8.34%
Percentage of Budget Spent on Defense: 20%
Military Budget: $1,965,238,080,000

Desudoragon, your order is confirmed too. Please allow 2 NS years for delivery. I'm not quite sure who sells either of those aircraft. I don't deal with Eastern tech, but check with a nation called "East Islandia" because they will probably know who sells at least one of those.

1) Hover Carrier:
The Armed Republic of Unum Veritas has recently developed a new design for the venerable aircraft carrier. Of old, the only drawback to an aircraft carrier, was its limited attack radius. Without tanker support, an aircraft carrier could not threaten a landlocked country or even the center of a large country with a coastline. But that has all changed with the invention of the new HVC carrier class. Instead of a conventional, water-based aircraft carrier, this new class is a hovercraft. The hovering ability allows it to cross any terrain, be it land, or sea. This gives the carrier an unlimited attack radius, and the ability to hit any target necessary. Due to the fact that this vessel does not sit in the water, it is practically invisible on sonar. It is also immune to any torpedoes because the torps can't acquire it without active sonar pinging.

-PS-A big thanks to Immininent Deletion for his adaptation of the hover carrier (shown below)!!!

4) Hospital Ship:
The Armed Republic of Unum Veritas is pleased to offer yet another high quality naval vessel. Due to the utter lack of hospital ships available for purchase, Unum Veritas has seen fit to build one and offer it for sale. No navy is complete without a hospital ship to move wounded. (8.) Fast Attack Hover Patrol Boat
As many know, one of the oldest strategic moves in a war was for one country to place a blockade on another's ports. During blockades, smugglers (known as blockade runners) would attempt to race through the blockade to deliver goods, and recieve a handsome reward for their bravado. In the new age, due to aerial transportation, the art of blockading ports is now a moot point, correct? Wrong! The days of the naval blockade are back. The latest vessel to be designed by the Unum Veritas engineers has been specifically designed to seal off countries by dealing with aerial, submerged, and floating targets. Although more or less useless in small numbers, this vessel can be one of the most deadly naval weapons available when deployed in vast quantities. A full sized unit of these HAB's (hover attack boat) can rain down devastating missile volleys upon land, sea, or air targets, while still agile enough to evade most counter measures. These ships are perfect for blockading ports, protecting ports, or just overall battle group security.

One torpedo tube
Two SAM batteries
Forward and aft .50 caliber machine gun
4 surface-to-surface missile tubes
Hovercraft locomotion
Heavily armored cabin
Reinforced hover skirt

http://www.naval-technology.com/contractor_images/abs_hovercraft/abs1.jpg

9) Hovercraft Deep Sea Transport
Although we are very proud of our hovercrafts, we must acknowledge that it cannot handle extremely rough waters. Therefore it is only effective within a 50 mile radius from a shoreline. Well, how is one to place a blockade on a foreign country if these blockade ships can't reach that country? Well, once again the Unum Veritas engineers have come through with the development of a ship specifically designed to transport our hovercrafts.

SAM capable
Surface-to-surface missile batteries
Top speed 30 mph
Reinforced armor
One helipad
Nuclear power plant
State of the art sonar/radar

13) Tall Ship Frigate
In honor of the esteemed past, and to help young ones appreciate new technology, Unum Veritas is now offering a ship directly out of the 1800's. These "tall ships" are perfect for living museums, display, themed races, or NS countries set in that time period. These ships are fully operational recreations of their old counterparts. Each ship comes with a full set of sails, extra ropes, cannons, cannon balls, instructions on how to produce more cannonballs, and customizeable features. We wish for these vessels to not be mere glimpses into the past, but fully hands-on works of art, therefore no two vessels are alike. Each ship will be painted in the national colors of its purchaser, as well as sculptures all along the bow and stern of the country's national animal (or a different animal that is specified by the buyer). So, when making a purchase for one of these magnificent works of art, please specify what you wish to be the ship's primary colors, and what animal(s) you wish to have carved. Due to the skill demanded to build one of these vessels, please allow one full NS year for delivery (1 week RL). The picture below is just one of these vessels and is meant to give a prospective buyer an idea of what these ships are like. The base price is $5 million, but is subject to change depending on the complexity of the required carpentry.

27) Streetfighter LCS
This catamaran style ship follows a new theory in naval warfare tactics. Rather than buying a few expensive ships and fearing to put them in harm's way and lose them, instead supplement one's force with large amounts of cheaper ships that can be lost without large consequences. This vessel is designed to fight in very hostile conditions and to support land operations. The catamaran style makes it very fast, as well. These ships should be deployed in large numbers in order to have their desired effect.

30) Hellfire Class Heavy Cruiser
The Veritasean shipwrights have breathed new life into an old design. Modern navies seem to be rather weak on shore bombardment vessels, and most ships (excluding battleships) rely on missiles too heavily, rather than normal guns. Seeing this gap in our own navy, we have decided to re-engineer these former gunships and restore them to active service. After adding new technologies to these ships and improving guns and ammunition, the Heavy Cruiser is once again available for sale. The guns can now be used to fire a wide array of munitions such as depleted uranium rods, incendiary charges, high-explosives, etc. These ships are vital to support of invading forces.

10. Supersonic VIP Transport/Bomber
This extremely exotic-looking plane has two highly different variants. It can be a plush VIP transport, or a supersonic bomber. Designed to travel at speeds of over Mach 3, this jet uses a principle known as "compression lift" (the shock wave from travelling supersonic holds the plane's wings up) to stay airborne and has now been converted to a CTOL version.

11. Archangel
This is the first aircraft released for public sale that is entirely of Veritasean origins (i.e. not based on a RL jet, although yes, the pic is of an F-111). This fighter is, of course, a STOVL jet and is ideal for primary fleet defense. The Archangel was designed with variability in mind, and is capable of ordinary theater defense, interdiction, or air-to-ground attacks. The main focus was on air-to-air battles, so the fighter is highly maneuverable and extremely fast. It is not very stealthy, because it relies on ship based or AEW aircraft based radar, to conduct its operations. This jet is also available in a VTOL format upon request.

13. F-23 Black Widow II
This is the aircraft that lost to the F-22 Raptor in the recent contract bid for the next generation USAF fighter jet, however many still believe that the F-23 should have won. The F-23 is more maneuverable, stealthier, slightly faster, and generally believed to be better looking. The F-23 also has a greater fuel capacity and thus a greater combat range. Both craft are designed to fly using supercruise. Originally this jet was designed to replace the aging F-15 Eagle as the supreme, all-weather, air superiority fighter for the USAF and even to replace the Navy's F-14. This craft is available in a STOVL and a VTOL format.

Ordnance
Unum Veritas is very pleased to offer these fine munitions, all of which are compatible with our ships. The price for each missile/torpedo is a flat $500,000.

1)The Mark-48 is designed to combat fast, deep-diving nuclear submarines and high performance surface ships.
2)The Mark-46 torpedo is designed to attack high performance submarines, and is presently identified as the NATO standard.
3)The Mark-50 is an advanced lightweight torpedo for use against the faster, deeper-diving and more sophisticated submarines. The Mark-50 can be launched from all ASW aircraft, and from torpedo tubes aboard surface combatant ships.
4)Harpoon anti-ship missile can be launched from the air, from ships, or from submarines.
5)Exocet anti-ship missile with fire and forget capability.
6)The Brahmos is a supersonic anti-ship missile developed jointly by India and Russia. This joint effort has produced what is touted to be the world's best anti-ship missile. "The combination of a long-range of fire, high-speed, low radar detection, advanced jamming protection and a high-explosive warhead makes BrahMos by far the deadliest anti-ship missile in the world."
7)Sea Sparrow, surface-to-air missile, has all-weather, all-altitude operational capability and can attack high-performance aircraft and missiles from any direction.
8)AIM-7 Sparrow, an air-to-air missile that is radar guided and capable of use in any weather.
9)AIM-9 Sidewinder, a heat seeking air-to-air missile with a high explosive warhead used by fighter aircraft.
10)AIM-54 Phoenix is a long-range, radar-guided missile with the capability to destroy targets in any weather and even through heavily jammed areas.
11)AIM-120 AMRAAM (Slammer), is a medium-ranged air-to-air missile that uses active radar homing to seek out targets through almost any environment.
12)AIM-132 ASRAAM, is a short-ranged, radar guided missile designed to complement the AMRAAM better than the conventional Sidewinder.
13)AGM-119B Penguin, is a helicopter-launched anti-ship missile designed to be used on Western helicopters. This short to medium ranged missile uses infrared homing technology to destroy enemy ships.

8) Double 0 Cars
After the recent development of our special operations submarine, our engineers have become enamoured with the special operations and entire clandestine community. Because of this new-found obsession, they began acting of their own accord, and started renovating cars. Evidently our chief engineer has watched one to many James Bond films, and has decided to begin building completely operational replicas of his cars. Although our government viewed these creations as a waste of time and resources and did not believe them to have any utility, we have been proven wrong. Our engineer has asked permission to sell these vehicles, and while we remain somewhat skeptical, we gave him permission, despite our misgivings. The government of Unum Veritas realizes that some nations will not believe these vehicles to be possible (OOC- and to accuse us of god moding), but we assure you, they are possible (in RL theoretically possible). They are not complete replicas. Because of the extra weight, they cannot go as fast, and they have been made of far sturdier materials than an average vehicle (thus the much higher price), but they are ideal for covertly placed agents who might have a need for some "special" toys.

Well, our nations had an agreement - I thought that a contractor within your country won the bid, and we gave them our specifications needed. We also transmitted the necessary technology to build them. We were hoping for some sort of update, since we haven't heard for them in a while.

In a plan to greatly advance the status of its navy, The Zoogie People has initiated the first of many phases of purchases from Uni Veritatis storefront.

As we have always prided ourselves in aircraft, it comes as little surprise that our first order is aircraft for our navy:

400 F-14D $20 million
800 Sea King ASW/VIP $10 million
800 F/A-18E/F $35 million
600 F-22N Sea Raptor $50 million
200 F-14E Tomcat $70 million
250 F-117 Nighthawk $80 million

Totally $108 billion. In addition, we would like more helicopters, and so have ordered

700CH-46 Sea Knight $35 million
700 V-22 Osprey $40 million
700 CH-53 Sea Stallion $30 million
700 MH-53E Sea Dragon $35 million

Totally a further 98 billion. In addition, we would like 500 of each of your two armed cars, costing $60 billion total. Our final order comes out to $266 billion. We inquire about any discounts as we are in the LoD.
The Zoogie People
29-01-2004, 03:24
The announcements of the plan have been made official. The only inadequecy seen now in The Zoogie People's armed forces is its navy. Therefore, in our massive naval armament project, we have planned a six-phase (six RL weeks), $1.58089 trillion total project. By the time we complete this project, our population will have grown by over 250 million, and we will be looking again to our army and air force, although they too will be developed during these times.

Phase two:

500 Fleet Defense Catamaran AA $150 million
500 Weathered Class ASW Torpedo $150 million
80 Combat Logistics AOE-6 $700 million
85 Ticonderoga Class Cruiser $750 million
65 Hellfire Heavy Cruiser $1 billion
60 Zumwalt Class Destroyer $750 Million

~$379.75 billion/bulk discounts?

Will be placed on this coming Sunday RL.

Ancient and Holy Terra
29-01-2004, 11:07
The Republic of Ancient Terra, after much deliberation, has finally decided to revamp the entire Navy and replace it with cutting-edge weaponry. Even as we speak, the majority of the Navy is being decommisioned.

Congress has finally passed a bill (with excessive amounts of deliberation) authorizing the Terran Armed Forces to part with a massive sum of money in order to receive an entirely updated and revitalized Navy.

We request:
8 Package 2 (Amphibious Assault Package)
5 Package 4 (Power Projection Group)

The grand total comes to 1,181,000,000,000. Though this is a massive sum of money, we have made no other purchases for several years now, and the decommisioning of our former fleet will free up much of the funds that were being used for maintenance of our increasingly old and creaky vessels. The following information demonstrates our military budget.

Ancient and Holy Terra Gross Domestic Product
Population: 1,426,000,000
Civil Rights: Excellent
Economy: Frightening
GDP per Capita: $35,000
GDP: $49,910,000,000,000
National Budget: $28,298,970,000,000

Percentage of GDP Spent on Defense: 11.34%
Percentage of Budget Spent on Defense: 20%
Military Budget: $5,659,794,000,000

Please do not make any attempt to hurry the construction of these vessels, as long as the quality is what we have come to expect from Unum Veritas Shipyards.

Thank you,

~Emperor El' Jonson, Leader of Ancient Terra~
~Talus Karn, Prime Minster~

Dang Exonerate, when did you lose all of those ships? I don't remember seeing that attack. Well your order is confirmed, although it will take some time to complete. Please allow 4 NS years for full delivery. Production rights for the two ships are available, but not the Sea Raptor. Production deals can be discussed through TGrams if you'd like.

Sniper Country, your order is confirmed. Please allow 1.5 NS years for delivery. Also, how goes the war?

Napoli and Sicily, as you are aware this order has already been confirmed via TGrams, so you know about when they'll be ready (just assume they get there whenever I told you they'd be ready, I don't have time to remember all the orders and let the buyer know that their equipment has arrived).

Thank you all for your business.

Clerk: *looks up and down requisition* 4 Frigates huh?

Not much use in today's world except as museums, but I know some nations like to remain in the past. It was such a romantic time, wasn't it? But I digress. Will there be any special features on these ships? If not then the price will be $5 million a piece, which totals to $20 million altogether. It will take around 3 years to complete all four ships..."

Jordaxia would like to purchase 2 of the hover carriers please.
Do they come with planes? If so, what kind, and if not, what should I buy that will work well.
I also want a tall ship, coloured in red, with a deep blue secondary colour.
I believe that comes to 10 billion for the hovers, and 5 million for the tall.

5 Tall Ship Frigate (Instead of cannons, could you outfit them with a variety of modern weapons, modern armored sides, and a small backup engine to the sails? Other than that, we don't care about any of the other specifications, just make it fit those and as cheap as possible.)

3 Sea King VIP Helicopter
1 Sea King ASW
1 CH-53 Sea Stallion

He probably could, actually, on the proviso that his Government didn't spend almost any money on anything else for the rest of the year.....

17-04-2004, 02:15
Feazanthia would like to know if the Veritesian Arsenal Ship's 500-cell VLS would be able to be adapted for Tomahawk anti-ship missiles instead of Tomahawk ground attack missiles. We are willing to pay extra for this feature if possible. Also, all Feazanthian ships are being outfitted with 'saturation' command overrides, allowing every missile in the cells to be fired at once. Would the Arsenal ship be able to be outfitted with this override?

Please TG the response, thank you.

::In the Hence Palace, rebellion activist Zed Carmine walks up to terrosrist leader Sgt. Slotter::

Carmine: Sir, they've confirmed our order but say it'll take quite some time before it gets here!

Slotter: What? Corran puts an order in and it only takes a little bit of regular time. What's the holdup.

Carmine: I think because we put in an order that's almost as large as HO's navy already is...

Slotter: Well the good news is at least they confirmed it... Heh. Money's money! If they follow through we may start order from these guys a lot more often! Who'd you say these people were?

Carmine: Unum Veritas sir. Avid sailors from the look of things...

Slotter: Good. Just keep an eye on how long things will take. I want to jump start this navy before Yamamoto gets any funny ideas...
