First off, I'm not three days old, several more in fact. I've only built one so far for sea worthiness and weapons testing purposes, and other than that, all we've done is research, so building costs are built into the price (which has been raised to a more reasonable price). Researching wasn't that expensive. We only had to design a hover skirt and an air circulation system strong enough for a carrier and to adapt the nuclear power plants to fit hovercraft design. My country already mines uranium for the power plants (in RL they use plutonium probably, but oh well...) and the automobile industry is huge. The government simply had to requistion some of the auto plants and engineers and divert them to this project. No pictures are currently available.

Before we place an order, we would like to see the engine that keeps an aircraft carrier suspended on a cushion of air over land. :shock:

Snub nose, you can get the general specs for the engine anywhere. Its basically a beefed up version of the standard hovercraft engine. Any hovercraft can go over any terrain, this one is just larger, and nuclear powered. For security reasons I cannot give out any exact plans, but you can get general versions in many places.

Chinchilland, as of now I am only offering the hover carriers, but soon I plan on adding other hover-vehicles. But perhaps you should make sure you can afford the equipment first. If you can, then I will be more than happy to sell you whatever you need.

Unum, can you explain the following in detail:

1) How you made such a big aircraft on your seventh day of existence?

I'd thought I explained this all earlier. I only built one (for testing purposes). I mainly just developed the plans. With the money I get from selling them, I build them. It wasn't that hard. One of the main industries in my country is automobile manufacturing. By nature, automobile makers must have large facilities, as well as excellent engineers. My gov't requisitioned the facilities as well as the engineers. Basically all they had to do was take modern hovercraft design, adapt it to nuclear power, and enlarge it. There were a few kinks, but it was managed, in the end. Also, in RL, nations have existed for 7 years and become nuclear powers. It isn't hard to find the plans for modern aircraft carriers, any halfway decent intelligence service could get them, and they are probably readily available on the internet. You can purchase the plans for hovercraft engines on the internet for about $20. From there it is just a matter of solving some engineering problems. Its no great feat. Its not as if this is some huge aerial platform that hovers thousands of feet over my country and miraculously keeps all missiles and everything out. This is simply a minor improvement on an aircraft carrier. People can call me for god-moding if they'd like. I've just explained (yet again) how this is possible, but you can choose to believe me or not to believe me. Its your choice.

I'm not sure who made it, but the thing works by multiplying your tax rate by the population by your economy level and then divinding down to the proportion set by the game on defence, usually 20% of government budget.

Look, first off you were created after I was, so keep your comments to yourself. Second of all, a hovercraft moves quicker because it doesn't have the displacement restrictions; it doesn't have to fight the water. I explained its manufacturing already, and you have no place in trying to correct me, keep your business to yourself and I shall do the same. As to the carrier speed, I've been thinking of revising it anyways, but its top speed really doesn't matter because it can't commence flight operations at its top speed, so therefore it is basically worthless exept to run away. No I do not know the exact equivalent of a knot, although if I cared, I could find out very easily. Now quit wasting my time with your idiotic complaints.

Seeing that I confused your hover transports with anything else, as I received the first units I sent them to R&D to try to fit them to the specifications I thought they were up to. I am not asking for a refund. It was MY mistake. A mistake with an interesting (and profitable) solution,

You see, what are you selling is basically an hover platform for logistical purposes(moving things/soldiers around), whereas I expected some kind of hover APC.

My R&D people designed a FUK (Field Upgrade Kit) that adds more armor to your platform and makes it battle worthy. We have applied it to all units delivered.

My R&D people also (ahem) dissassembled a unit, so we have the complete specs on it. To avoid legal problems (and expensive wars) I'd like to have a license to manufacture the hover platforms (not for export, just internal use), and as part of the price, we are willing to send you plans for a Battlefield version of your hover transport. And of course, give you full credit on the idea.

It still carries no weapons, but with the added armor, the troops are more likely to survive the trip in order to be deployed.

My people are still working on max land speed, as it is too low. But if you try to run faster (max tested speed 80 kph), you destroy the skirts very fast.

It comes at a little loss of cargo capability.

Hover transport (battlefield version):
Can carry a max of 22,500 pounds
Room for 45 fully equiped soldiers
Requires crew of three
Capable of reaching almost any coastline
Can launch from land, or sea-based ship
Max in-water speed 22 knots (that is max SAFE speed)

Reinforced skirt and under hull for battle dangers.

You can have a license to manufacture the battle hovertransport for internal use only. Any profit made off of selling them will be subject to a 50% commission to my engineers. As of now I'm not sure I'll be selling the battle-ready form, but I will be willing to trade the license to manufacture them in exchange for the plans on them.

Anyway, that's a Seawolf class submarine, it sometimes leaks radiation from its Nuclear reactor, according to the Official US Navy web site. The sub is soon to be retired, due to old age from back in the late 60s, early 70s. Those of you who bought them, you are basicly wasting 135 men and 2 billion USD mulitiplied by the quanity of subs you purchased. Its a total waste!! Oh yeah, 2 billion USD?!? That's horribly over-priced. 100 million USD should be the max for any kind of sub.

I'm thinking they could be outfitted for any of those control options. Its on my site as well - but basically, the payload bay is the size of two school buses side-by-side.

It is possible to set up the bay for troop transport, cargo delivery...and while I haven't explored it - a weapons bay. It can lift 70,000 lbs into orbit - but that does limit its range (it couldn't life a full payload and go to the moon - its one or the other, unless you refuel in orbit.)

I have considered armouring one of our MOAB bombs with heat shield, and dropping it from orbit - that'd be a party, but expensive.

In RL the design probably would not be very practical. Despite the building problems, hovercrafts do not steer in a forward manner. They are constantly sliding around and such, and because aircraft carriers are supposed to turn into the wind to commence flight operations (I think) this would make it very difficult. I imagine at some point, if the military pursues it thoroughly enough, they might be able to come up with working models. I just thought it would be cool to make one, so I did. It isn't based on any RL theories or future plans, just on my own boredom/creativity. :wink:
