"I know but I've come within hours of catching him before and I will again." Victor replied

"They can be pretty warped when pissed off," Soren said. "They won't even let Prince Kurt die."

"Why won't they let him die? Also I think the gods/demi-gods and other pantheonics of my culture would get pissed if they tried interfere with other religous followers." Victor replied

"Rumour has it that he went to their planet to ask them to change his destiny," Soren told him.

"I guess they wanted him to have the destiny they had proscribe, of course if he changed faiths, he could probably try to get his destiny changed again." Victor replied

Soren shook his head. "As soon as you step foot in Draconian space, your fate is in their hands," he explained.

"But then he could never be king," Soren pointed out.

"Maybe not king of here but he could try to become king of another country." Victor replied, "If he wants to be king here, he has to take the burdens that come with it."

"Now you know why he's still here fighting his grandfather," Soren said.

"When is he grandfather expected to die of old age?" Victor asked

Soren laughed at the suggestion. "Let's just say he is looking very fit and healthy for someone who is somewhere older then two thousand," he replied.

"Vampire, correct? Then why not just hire a hunter or two to try and take a stab at his grandfather." Victor asked

Soren shoook his head. "He is no vampire," he said. "The only one who can kill Lord Azazel is Prince Kurt."

"So they're both immortal till the prince kills the king?" Victor asked

"Maybe, no one knows if the princes curse is permanent or not," Soren shrugged. "I hear he is not the only one who was cursed."

"I hope you guys get your power struggle worked out." Victor replied

For a moment he stared at his hand before slowly raising it to reveal a hot, steaming cup of coffee.

"Thank you," Victor replied as he took the cup and held it to let it cool.

Soren did the same for a nice cold beer. "A useful trick," he smirked.

Soren gulped down the beer as they waited for Rube. "Any time now," he said.

The TD disappeared into the ground like it was quicksand. A shape appeared standing on the ceiling above them, a kid of about fourteen. He wore dark clothes and a pair of sunglasses hid his eyes.

"It's a drug that does nasty stuff to your body," Rube replied, leaning in the doorway.

"You could say that about blood as well or even water." Victor replied with a grin.

"Actually blood and water are needed in the body to survive, caffine isn't," Rube replied.

"They can still be classified as drugs. Also there is nothing wrong with caffine unless a large amount is ingested over a long time." Victor replied

"Still makes you piss more for each cup you drink," Rube told him.

"True, but if you only drink coffee or caffinated beverages sparingly, it's not that big a problem." Victor replied

"The bloods better for you kid," Rube said, tilting his hat forward.

"Bloods better for you, and while necessary for me, not the best form of sustance." Victor replied

"Even a dhampir needs blood kid, you can't run away from your bloodline no matter how hard you try," Rube then told him.

"I already said I need blood, but it is nowhere near the same 'nutritional' value for me as for you." Victor replied "You can live on blood alone, but I need normal food as well."

"Vampires don't generally need mortal food, but old habits are hard to die," Rube then said with a smirk.

"But I do need normal food, one of the differences between Dhampire and Vampire." Victor replied

"So kid, what are your plans now?" Rube then asked him.

"Go back to searching." Victor replied

"Thank you for the offer. I've got to get going, so see you later and bye." Victor shakes both Rube's and Soren's hands as he heads to the crack to the upper city.

Victor pulled himself out of the sewer into the sun, blinking his eyes to adjust to the daylight. He then headed outward from the sewer entrance.

A young silverhaired woman of eighteen was watching them. She knew what he was just from sensing him and decided to follow.

Victor decided to head to a tavern to get some breakfast before heading out.

The woman quietly followed him, watching everything he did. She followed him into the tavern and took a seat from where she could watch him and not be noticed.

Victor ordered some bread, cheese, fruit and cold cuts, and once delivered he began eating.

The woman continued to keep and eye on him. She wondered what exactly, brought this dhampir here. They were rare here and always had a dark reason for coming.

Victor finished eating and noticed a lady looking at him, he paid the bill and headed out, thinking it was nothing more than idle curiosity. As he walked he found a bench where he sat down and pulled out a book.

She followed him back out again. Making sure that she wasn't seen by him, she kept up behind him, silver sword in hand.

"What brings a dhampir here?" she demanded.

"What buisness is it of yours what I choose to do?" Victor asked as he turned his head to look at her.

"Vampires and their like are my buisness," she replied. "Especially when they are fresh from the vampire realm."

"If you know that I am a Dhampir, then you should know that I am not a vampire." Victor replied as he went back to reading.

"Dhampirs in Exetergrecia are never a good sign," she then said, her sword still drawn, she stood directly behind him. "Now... what exactly were you doing in Caer Chan Caddug?"

"I was talking to someone about a private matter." Victor replied

"A vampire no doubt, am I correct?" she then told him.

Dru extricated herself from his protective grip, and straightened a few paces removed. She glanced over her shoulder with a stony expression, taking note of the others before returning her gaze to the one with the shades. She did not like the way things were going.

"Lord JWolf, I think now would be a good time for a more subtle approach.."

Reflexively, she shifted her weight to a more balanced stance, never taking her eyes of the vampire who quite obviously controlled the situation.

"Yes, and your point is?" Victor asked

"Maybe I know who you are." said the Count, using the Force to watch everything around. "Maybe you're a young Jedi looking to make a name for yourself by taking down a Sith lord or you're a young Jedi looking to become a Sith." Something black and small flew from inside his robe then landed in his right hand.

OOC: I think I know who it is? But I though he was killed by Kurt and cam back. And Kurt is watching over him.

"Too many explosions will cause a cave in, Zanaar won't answer to threats like that, he doesn't care about the city since a big enough cave in will damage the new city on the surface," the female figure explained.

"None of then were a bother to me, and a couple tried to help me, so I'd have no reasn to kill them." Victor replied

"If you're not killing vampires then why are you here?" she then demanded.

"I am looking for a vampire clan, and more specifically a vampire, that I have issues with." Victor replied "Would you mind coming round to the front or at least sit down, so I don't have to crane my neck?"

She eyed the two behind them suspiciously, defensively, despite JWolf's having put away his weapon. Just stay quiet Dru.. do what you do best.

"I am looking for a vampire clan, and more specifically a vampire, that I have issues with." Victor replied "Would you mind coming round to the front or at least sit down, so I don't have to crane my neck?"

He first pulled out a dagger, and polished and oiled it before moving onto a pistol that he cleaned, oiled and polished, once done cleaning he pulled out a number of very odd looking rounds that he began to cartridge.

Victor finished cartridgeing the rounds, holstered the pistol and picked his book up and began reading again.

After a point Victor got up, stretched and headed to the marketplace/mall.

She followed him to a nearby market place that was full of blackmarket goods. She found it easy to blend in with the crowd as she followed him.

Victor went looking for a rare type of garlic clove as well a number of rather uncommon woods.

At one of the various stalls, an elderly woman was selling garlic.

Victor purchased three cloves that fit his requirments before going to look for the wood he required.

She hesitated to follow JWolf, still eyeing the two. She wasn't sure exactly where she stood in this matter. All she really wanted was to meet this "prince" and find why he made such a claim. Her stance would stem from his answer. All the same, the opinions expressed thus far were terribly interesting and helped shed a bit of light on things. Victor managed to find a vendor that was selling the woods he was looking for, and once he found the textures and grains he needed he purchased them and headed back to the bench that he'd been at.

Once there he up ended a number of vials, the garlic ones, into a smelly yellow ooze before rinsing them out, adding a small amount of water and crushed garlic. He then stoppered the vials and went up to a passing traveller/citizen, and asked "Could you direct me to the a number of churches?"

The stranger looked at him funny, "Fucking outsider," he cursed and walked off.

From where she stood she heard him ask the question and couldn't help but chuckle to herself.

"Asshat." Victor muttered before turning to the the next passerby and re-asking the question.

He got the same reaction once more.

"Yes," she said looking around before walking off. "We'll get the underground."

"Kill the last ever vampire and destroy the abominations forever," she said as she walked down the steps into the underground station. She swiped a card before walking through the turnstiles.

"What's the fee?" Victor asked as he stuck a hand into a pouch. "What would you do once all vampires were dead?"

"£10 for where we're heading," she said. "Lead a normal life I guess."

Victor pulled out the money and put it into the slot. "So why do you have such a grudge against vampires?" He asked as he walked throught the turnstile.

"It's a family thing," she explained as they waited for the next train. "Comes frome a time when vampires massacured a village centuries ago."

"If there was blood, then I doubt it was the work of a vampire. Since the yreturned as vampires, I would think a necro over a vampire was responsible." Victor replied

The vampire hunter looked at him. "You are an idiot outsider," she told him. "They were vampires, when me meet one of the victims you'll know."

Her mind raced in the background. So he wanted power. Power brought corruption. Something to keep in mind either way this turns.

"Oh....I need a way to have Zanaar come to me." said the Count "Maybe, I will start killing those vampire hunters. Start with the Cyredathems first."

"Alright." Victor replied as he could tell it was a sensitive subject for her and decided to leave it be.

"So whats your name?" she then asked as the train slowed for another station.

"Victor, your'se?" Victor replied

"Kethoro," the vampire hunter replied.

"So what is your position and your families position on Dhampir?" Victor asked

"As long as they're not siding with vampires, my family are indifferent to dhampirs," Kethoro said. "But dhampir's are very rare in Draconis Nightcrawlis."

"How come?" Victor asked as the train started up again.

"Vampires tend to kill any mortal they shag," Kethoro said with a shrug.

Their carriage was still rather empty, there was no one else in it.

"Ah." Victor replied

Kethoro looked around. "Seems a little empty," she remarked.

"I noticed that as well, wonder if it has anything to do with having a Dhampir and hunter in the same car?" Victor mentioned

"Only if it was vampire's aboard," Kethoro replied. "It's usual full of other non-vampires though."

"So how far is it to these druids?" Victor asked

"About twenty miles outside the city," Kethoro told him.

She began to look through to the other carriages to see if anyone else was actually aboard. A few other people were visible through the window.

"So how do you hunt vampires?" Victor asked

Kethoro's eyes turned to Victor, staring at him. "That would be giving away trade secrets," she replied.

"Not really, I'd be willing to tell you some of the ways I hunt the clan, also I already know the weaknesses of the local vampire." Victor replied

"None of which is actually useful to me since I already know," she replied, folding her arms.

The train slowed to stop at another empty station. Kethoro didn't like the way these stations were empty, but she giuess this was becoming one of the lesser used lines. After all, not many people would have reason to be on the train that went to Embassy Square these days.

"Enh, there are many different ways to kill vampires, I could kill a vampire from a mile away." Victor replied

"Hmph," Kethoro replied. "Lazer guided wooden stake."

"Nope, guess again." Victor replied with a grin.

The underground train came to a halt once again, this time in the middle of a tunnel and not at a station. Kethoro looked out the window before saying, "I'm perfectly capable with my own abilities anyway."

"I wonder why we stopped?" Victor asked

"Usually something along the line breaks and all the trains stop," Kethoro said. "Once Prince Kurt becomes King everything can go back to normal again."

"For the trains, possibly, but how do you know Kurt won't be worse than his grandfather. Also it won't be all better for the vampiric citizens." Victor replied

"Kurt is a good guy, I know him, we went to the Exetergrecia Academy together," Kethoro scowled at him. "And why the fuck do we want things to be better for vampires anyway."

"Just because they are vampire doesn't automatically make them evil. Many vampire have done great things." Victor replied

"Aside from Kurt's ally, Clive, no they're not," Kethoro replied. "Vampires are scum, if they were allowed to run free through the cities chaos would enshue."

"So because they had no choice in the matter of becoming a vampire, they are automatically evil? That's a very slippery slope, you're perched at the proverbial top. Does that mean that next you'll go after those who are born disabled because they had no choice in the matter and are 'evil' as well?" Victor said

"You try telling the victims they kill that they aren't evil," Kethoro replied.

"Those that kill are evil, but there are vampire, one is actually a friend, that have never harmed a human in thier vampiric life. The reason they kill is because they've been conditioned to." Victor replied

"They're souless beings that don't care who they hurt," Kethoro told him. "Should have realised that you would think good of them. It would be like calling rapists and muderors good and not evil."

"For the vast majority of vampires I don't think they are that evil, there are some who enjoy it but most do it to survive. Which would be worse, say a vampire killing someone to survive, or someone killing to gain power?" Victor asked

"They hold no remorse for those innocents they have killed," Kethoro told him. "Do you know what it's like to kill a vampire only to find out just moments before they had just killed a child to drink its blood. Those times I just wish that I could have killed that vampire sooner to save that childs life."

"Yes I do." Victor replied "Those who feel no remorse, tend to be worthless, but like I said, many of them, have had no opportunity to learn that they can survive on stored blood, simply because they are caught in a cycle, they can't break, without a great deal of effort."

"Clive is over eight hundred years old," Kethoro said. "In that time he has never killed a mortal to drink their blood, only in self defense. They can choose not to kill for blood but they choose to."

"That is because their progenitors teach them it's alright. Since they were taught that, it's difficult for them break the cycle. You were taught that all vampire are evil, yet you have an example in Clive of a good vampire. For every Clive that can break the cycle or has a progenitor that teaches them morality, there are thousands that don't have the knowladge or power to break the cycle." Victor replied

"You do not understand Draconian vampires," Kethoro told him. "They are souless, brought into existance by Loki through devious means to start the end of times. Clive is a vampire with a soul, that is why he is different."

"I don't remember anything about vampire in norse theology. If here vampire are soulless, how did Clive retain his soul?" Victor asked

"Because Norse mythology is old, it was never updated once Christianity spread and the Gods abandoned them," Kethoro explained. "I don't know why Clive has a soul, that is something probably only the Norns know."

"Also a soul does not insure morality." Victor replied

"A good soul does," Kethoro pointed out. "It's the corrupted ones that cause trouble."

"Thus logically a soulless should fluctuate between good and bad morality." Victor replied

Kethoro just glared at him. "Vampires were created by Loki for evil, haven't you fucking listened?"

"Planes are created to fly but they crash at times, there is nothing that is perfect, gods included, everything can make mistakes." Victor replied

This was highly frustrating for Kethoro, she had no idea why she had offered to help the dhampir when it was obvious he was siding with the vampires. The train had still yet to move.

"This can't be good," she said as a womans horrified scream echoed around the train.

Kethoro drew her sword as she walked over to the door between their carriage and the next. Looking through the window, everything looked in place. The passengers in the next carriage seemed to be talking to each other.

"No, it doesn't." Victor replied as he followed Kethoro.

"Well, well," came a voice behind them. "Looks like they were right, a dhampir. Oh and a Cyredathem to boot, this must be our lucky day."

Kethoro turned around to see that a large group of vampires had entered their carriage. "Shit," she swore.

"What are you doing here." Victor asked, as he put his hands in his pockets.

"I am Elrich, dhampir hunter," the lead vampire said. "We were told of a dhampir in the area by the name of Victor. That's you."

Kethoro raised her silver sword. "Friends of yours?"

"Never meet them before. So why are you looking for this Victor?" Victor asked, hoping Kethoro caught on.

Kethoro said nothing.

"Because you are a dhampir," Elrich said, his voice cold. He drew a blaster and smirked. "You can't fool me, Soren mentioned everything while you believed he was helping you search for your father."
