I assume you don't mean I wrote one of your characters into my post, because as you could clearly see, there were only two characters in my post, both of which were of my own invention. So, again, just what do you mean by that?

For instance, I would have no problem if you RPed a nameless character from my nation should you be visiting, because a nameless has no influence, just like little Craig. However, that is really just my personal preference, not rule, so I apologize on that point.

First of all, I already apologized on that point.

Second of all, I would hope that anyone using nameless Ponyians would exercise a bit of restraint, as I did with Craig. That's just common courtesy.

And finally, I never had my initial question answered. Just why is it that my character somehow doesn't qualify as real?

Let me put this a different way.

Let's say that a Rwandan child were to visit your island, and look upon your people, mystified. Your people have more than enough food to eat. The majority of your people do not have AIDS. And, craziest of all, people aren't being killed in devastating genocides! Surely this must be some kind of outlandish fantasy, correct?

The small Rwandan child orders you to leave the thread, or rebuild your nation from the ground-up, to make it more "realistic" to his world view.

IC: Lars was jogging back to the beach house. He was somewhat tired, so it would take him about two hours, twice as long as before. For once, he couldn't think. He tried, but his thoughts were so jumbled, he couldn't focus on anything, so for the first time, he simply ran.

A boat with about 10 lebs on it flying the Lebanese Australian flag (http://www.nationstates.net/images/flags/uploads/lebanese_australia__0.jpg) came up to the beach. their leader was a very big leb called Hamid who was 190 cm tall and had spiky hair like Cloud from FFVII. These Lebs were on holiday and looking to have a good time with the local females.

The Lebs walked into the bar and Hamid went to the bar. "I want to order a round of drinks for my mates here," said Hamid pointing to his mates at the doorway. "You wouldn't have Hop Thief here would you?"

Mary nodded.
'Yes I am Mary, I hope he has told you good things about me' Mary said nervously.

Katja was hobbling around, getting more confident and smiling more.
She went back to her bed and picked up her phone to call Lucian.

Lucian picked up, "Yeah, Katja? ou want anything to eat? I'm in the caffateria right now." He had calmed down a little since when he first burst in.

Milly wandered into the beach house, it seemed so quiet without her sister and some of the other regulars who had fizzled away.

Lucian nodded, "On my way." He ended the call and headed back upstairs. When he entered the room he took his seat next to Katja's bed.

Mark noticed Milly in the bar so he walked over,

"Hey, how is she?" he asked

Lars walked into the bar. He had just gotten back from the hospital. He figured Milly would beat him, since she drove. Lars walked up to the front desk and waited, wondering if Milly would be running the beach house now.

Mary nodded.
'Yes I am Mary, I hope he has told you good things about me' Mary said nervously.

It just wouldn't have been a party without the occasional crasher. And so it was that another B-List politician in a loud Hawaiian shirt and dockers descended upon the happy coterie, taking in the soft scent of the shore and island blossoms with a sigh of relief. It was good to be out of the office -- and in warm climes for once -- the gentleman thought, as he pondered the pointlessness of serving as "counselor to the president" to a president who neither wanted, sought nor took any wise counsel. It might also have been a good idea to bring his wife along, thought the young man as he approached the bar to order a sufficiently bright and colorful drink to add to the appreciable atmosphere.

Just then, a familiar figure stealthily hopped up from beneath the bar and took a nearby stool.

"Susa! Er, I mean, Ambassador! What are you doing here?"

"Got bored, and I found the brochure to this place on your desk," said the muscular young man. "You know, Jimmy, you ought to lock your office when you're away -- anyone can just walk right in and steal your porn -- by the way, I stole some of your porn -- but you can't tell anyone here who I am, OK? As far as you're concerned, I'm just any other mid-level bureaucratic schlub who decided to vacation here."

"And why is that?" Jimmy asked.

"I ... uh ... sort of had to smuggle here ..."

"Ambassador!"

"Shhhhh! You want them to overhear us?! You know I'm on the no-fly list in at least two dozen countries, so I had to stow away in the cargo hold of a passenger jet. No one has to know."

Jimmy sighed and took a seat next to Susa. "Wild Turkey, and plenty of it," he barked at one of the bar staff.

"So, I overheard the paparazzi like taking photos of shirtless royals on the beach here," Susa said. "You know, I used to be a royal..." He sort of puffed up with importance at this. "You think they'd be interested in taking shirtless photos of me?"

"You were king of a country no one here has heard of or cares about," Jimmy pointed out. "And you reigned for about three months before the queen killed herself. Besides, I thought you were going for anonymity?"

"Let me tell you something, Jimmy."

"Alright," Jimmy consented as he slid his Wild Turkey glass closer.

"I'm the ambassador to the World Assembly..."

"Yeah."

"And I used to be ambassador to the United Nations..."

"Uh-huh."

"But neither of those organizations even exist here, do they?"

"No..."

"So, I don't exist..."

"OK."

"So none of these morons can even see me."

"Think so?"

"Because I don't exist."

"Right."

"So I could run around on the beach in the fucking buff right now, and no one would know about it!"

"Er..."

"You want me to test this theory?"

"I'd prefer you didn't, Ambassador," said Jimmy as ahe took a sip of his whiskey. "Speaking as someone who was practically your personal aid for two years in Treasury, I've seen enough of your naked ass as it is."

"Haven't you been listening, genius? You won't see anything! I don't exist! My hairy naked ass doesn't exist!"

"But I can see you fine."

"Because you're looking too closely," Susa chided him. "It's like the Invisible Boy from that 'Mystery Men' movie. No one can see him when he's naked, as long as no one's looking at him."

"Fine," Jimmy said, gladly looking away and taking another sip, "I won't look at you."

"Great, I think I'll go for a skinnydip in the ocean," Susa said as he turned tail for the beach, starting to loosen his tucked-in Polo shirt.

"Hey, bartender," Jimmy said, desperate to keep his mind off the unfolding scene behind him, "your pouring hand broken or something? I said keep the Wild Turkey coming!"

Hamid was mad about being ignored. He hit the bar with his fist and shouted "Booze! Do you have any Goddamn booze here?" He pulled out 100 liras. "Enough for my mates here."

Another Leb noticed Milly coming into the bar. To him she was a nice female he might be able to score with. This Leb was called Khalid and he was a thin short bloke about 160 cm tall. "Hey, baby," he said in his Lebanese Australian accent. "Want to party?"

"hey jack ass the bars closed so shut the fuck up as me and my crew are trying to play pazaak here"said the Captian of the Missile Battlecruiser now laying off shore

Hamid walked up to the captain. He had six of his mates with him as three of them were on the beaches looking for fun. Hamid grabbed the captain by his collar and growled "What did you call me, punk?"

Hamid spat on the floor. He wasn't going to take seven against forty. He stormed out of the bar with Khalid and another of his mates called Elie. "Let's go have fun elsewhere."

There were now only four lebs left in the bar and they weren't going to make trouble without their leader around so they walked around asking women to dance.

Katja kissed him softly.

Milly was back at the bar, she saw Lars and swallowed hard, she tried to fight back. She was cradling Amber.

In the bar one of the blokes who had stayed behind walked up to Lars and tried to barge past him to make moves on Milly. He and his mates hadn't had a root since they got to the island. This was a very muscular soccer player type.

"Hey baby," said the bloke. He was called Omar. "Do you dance?"

Milly was a little intimidated,
'I have to look after my baby....'

Lars turned a little. Maybe they'll just leave her alone... though they do seem like the rowdy bunch. He wasn't going to do anything. Not yet, anyway.

Lars smiled. "Don't mention it. But there is something I wanted to ask you. Well... I'm thinking I should leave the beach house soon, and... I was wondering how much I owed for my room." He paused, waiting for her reaction.

Just as Lucian left the nurse came in.

'Katja......your bones are healing excellently, you should be able to go home, its like...somethings happened, almost...a miracle'

Lars motioned to the bar. "It's because of people like that. Don't get me wrong, this is a great place, but it's not for me. I'm just not comfortable around rowdy people, and that's exactly what this place is for. Party-goers, heavy drinkers, wild people... you know what I'm getting at. I'm a quiet person. I'm old fashioned. I... I just can't think straight around here. Maybe if more people here were like you..." He paused, clearly flustered. "My point is, I just feel like I don't belong. That's why I think I should leave." He looked down at the ground. He felt somewhat ashamed, and he didn't know why.

Millys face fell
'I have an idea, for a proper vacation, there is another hidden away beach hut further around the island.....you can go there if you like, its so beautiful...I might be tempted to join you'

Lucinda was walking home from work, she had given up trying to make things work there, she was so busy texting and listening to her ipod she blindly walked into the road in front of a car, it hit her for six and she lay in a heap, the driver sped off

Lucinda pulled herself to the road, she saw a sad man driving a car, she hoped someone would stop and help her.

Lars thought for a moment. "Hmmm... hidden, you say? It would be quiet... it sounds tempting... you know what, I might take you up on that offer." He smiled gently. "And I suppose what you do is up to you. This is your beach house after all. Is this hut far from here?"

Milly smiled.
'I will show you' she said, she held his hand gently, she had put Amber to bed under the careful watch of Mulberry.

She took him out to the beach and they walked for about 15 minutes through thick under growth and pretty streams.

Lars looked around at the scenery during the walk. "Wow. This is a beautiful place. I can see why you would keep it hidden." He let Milly lead, she knew where they were going after all.

Milly lead him to the hut, it was snug but cosy...
she squeezed his hand gently and pulled him close. she gave him a single kiss on the cheek and went to tidy things up.

Lars stood there for a bit, watching her start to clean things up. Wow. She really is something else. She's nice, pretty, smart... Lars suddenly turned and began tidying things up himself, mostly because he was sure his cheeks must be turning red. "So, Milly, uh, this really is a great place. Thank you again. Is there anything, uh, anything I can do to help?" At the moment he was just doing small things, like straighting things out, anything to keep his hands busy.

'Its ok, I want you to stay' she said, she had a small holdall with some clothes and toiletries.
'I am gonna get changed outta these clothes...midday sun and all'

"Sure, uh, ok. And don't worry, I'll be right here." Lars sat down in a wooden chair while Milly got changed. He looked around at the hut. This really is a nice place... and it's quiet too. This I could get used to.

Milly came back with some little cargo shorts on and her purple bikini, she still had a little bit of baby belly, but she still looked amazing.

Lars stood up and smiled. "You look great. It's hard to believe you just had a baby. Which reminds me... I wish I had thought to bring my clothes with me. These ones are somewhat sticky after running back and forth everywhere." He laughed a little at this. She does look great....

Milly smiled.

'Sure well I am gonna go get some food from down there, and I shall be back....' she said, she brushed his hand with hers.

Milly did her chores and Milly was rolling around the front room in her stroller, whilst Milly made Lars some dinner.

"Oh, um," Lars barely had time to thank her, she was moving so fast and doing so many things at one time. "Maybe I could do something to help? I'd feel bad if I just sat here and watched you work."

'Amber could do with some company.....' Milly said, she kissed his cheek as he came in.

Milly finished his dinner a rice dish, she set it down.

She was quiet for a moment.
'I am moving too fast for you......' she said, she looked away.

Lars sat down in front of the rice, holding Amber. "Milly... look, I'm sorry. It's not you... it's me. I'm just too slow I guess. I've been slow all my life. That's why I came here. To mix things up a little." He chuckled at this. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get deep like that. I just do that from time to time." He paused, trying to think of a way to say what he wanted to say next, but couldn't. Instead, he tried the rice dish in front of him. "Mmm... this is really good. What is it?" He was trying to change the subject, even though a part of him didn't want to.

'its an old family recipe' Milly said, she sat on the sofa and tucked her knees into her chest and looking out of the open doors down to the shore.

Lars sighed. He left the rice on the table and sat down next to Milly, also looking out the doors. "It really is beautiful, isn't it?" He continued to look out the doors. "So, what's on your mind? You haven't been acting the same since we were at the hospital."

Milly had a small tear running her face.
'I really like you, ever since i saw you, just this fizz I don't get with anyone else.....but you seemed involved with Nadia'

Lars smiled as he wiper her tear. "To be honest, I thought I was too. But I didn't know her then. I've gotten to know her better over the past few days, and... well, I don't really like her anymore. She's not the person I thought she was. Now I'm getting to know you better, and...well, I really do like you. But before I go on, I must ask... what about Mark? Do you still like him?" Lars turned and looked her full in the face.

'He isnt like you, he just likes the physical sides of being with me.....if you understand that' she said,

She moved a little closer to him, she rested her head on his shoulder, her warm breath beating against his neck.

Lars hesitated, but only slightly, before he put his arm around her. The hair on his neck seemed to stand up, but he liked it. "I know what you mean. Personally, for me anyway, physical stuff like that... isn't what makes a person beautiful. It's the stuff you can't see, but feel. Sorry if I'm sounding kinda weird, but that's just who I am." Lars felt odd. For the first time, he could just focus on the present, without worrying about anything else, like it didn't exist. It felt good.

Milly looked up at him and kissed him so softly and gently.
'I know exactly what you mean....' she said, she was almost purring.

OOC: I'm going to take the small liberty of letting the owner hand my character his roomkey, lest he stand in the lobby/reception area until tomorrow. If that's not okay, or if I'm misrepresenting the buildings in any way, I'll obviously revise my post.

Cyrus made his presence in the reception area known in the most elegant way he knew; stepping out of passerby's way, knocking over his suitcases and nearly tripping over them himself in the process. His two robust, if rather unyieldy, metal suitcases fell to the floor with a forgiving soft thud. He felt the blood rushing to his face as he quickly put the suitcases upright, only to have them tip over yet again. Clearly on the verge of panic by now, Cyrus gave up, fixed his dissheveled hair, and asked for the key to his hut.

"M-Mr. Koing. It might be under the name of Cyrus.. Koing," he stuttered.

Upon receiving his key, he awkwardly picked up his suitcases and left in search of his hut.

OOC: I didn't want to drop a giant text bomb on the thread, so I'll finish my intro post a little later.

Cyrus carefully navigated the huts strewn about the beach, deep in thought..

I never did catch her name, he mused. I must admit that she was quite striking... He paused for a second to look for his hut. Looked like he still had a little way to go. ...but I somehow doubt medical check-ups are mandatory here, so I only know all too well what kind of diseases they could be carrying.

He stopped again and sighed, mentally berating himself. You're supposed to be enjoying yourself, Cyrus, and here you are worrying about diseases the second you...

His train of thought stopped as he looked up, finding himself at the front door of his hut. He opened the door, stepped inside and examined his home for the next few weeks. He had to admit, for a beach hut, it was surprisingly luxurious. Nothing compared to my government-appointed palatial suite, though... he thought, smirking.

Feeling a little ratty and quite worse for wear, Cyrus decided a quick shower and change of clothes was in order before leaving for the bar. He stepped into the bathroom and examined himself in the mirror. His blonde hair was parted neatly to the side, and his pale skin stood in stark contrast to the black fabric of his suit. He sighed, adjusting his tie. Really, Cyrus. A black suit? You're supposed to be on vacation. Unfortunately, it's the only thing he felt comfortable in anymore.

Back in the bedroom, he snapped open the suitcase to reveal several more suits, hanging them neatly in his closet. After a quick shower, he picked out a dark blue suit. He stopped, and figured, what the hell, I'm on vacation. Let's live a little. Cyrus unbuttoned the top button of his collared shirt before slamming the door shut behind him, leaving tie and dress shoes behind. Not before sliding the second, yet unopened, suitcase under the bed, however. He wiggled his toes in the hot sand, sighed contently, and began making his way towards the bar. Looks like I might just enjoy myself after all.

Inside, he made his way to the bar, cautiously eyeing the other patrons. He cleared his throat, and stammered,

"E-excuse me, but.. c-could I trouble you for the wine card, please?"

Chris entered the reception area. Asking only for a room. He had brought two black suitcases. He wore cheap clothes to fit in with the others in the beach house. They were probably bought from a gas station in the middle of Iowa, but he looked as proud in his cheap crappy clothing. His eyes were a little red. He stumbled into his room after entering three closets.

'Yes, I didnt want to tell Blade, I didn't want him to treat me differently' Mary said smiling.

Hamid, the biggest and strongest of the 10 lebs who had come, was walking up and down the beach in a singlet with a Cedrus libani tree printed on the front and short trousers. He was looking for girls for him and his mates to root.

OOC: To be honest, I'm not sure. The ones that were haven't logged on in a while, I think it's just Feninia's chars, one's on the side of the road after being hit by a car (right?), one's in the hospital, and one's in a secluded hut with my char. So, I'm not sure if there's anybody else. Unless you feel like helping the one on the road... I'm pretty sure that's when Feninia said anyway.... But she's in charge, not me.

Three men of middle eastern appearance came up the road, looking for booze and a root when they saw an injured woman at the side of the road. They were tall muscled men with a hunger for beer and women and weed.

Abdullah a short fat leb walked up to the woman. He wanted to see if she was in good condition or if things were really bad. "You all right?"

Milly woke up semi clothed next to Lars on the sofa, the tv was still on, she heard Amber stirring in the other room and went to feed her.

Katja gathered her things and she left the hospital, she caught a cab and arrived back home with Mulberry.

Kicking up sand on the beach around him, the huge wings of Gurgle the Dragon gave him just enough lift to land with a resounding "whump." His golden-bronze scales gleamed in the afternoon sun as he shook the cobwebs out of his head and, sure that he wasn't going to harm anyone, slowly retracted the huge structures and came to an unsteady stance on his four legs.

Once, Gurgle had been the Ambassador of the Dominion of Dastardly Stench to the World Assembly. This had ended when the Magical Realm, where Dastardly Stench was located, had abruptly collapsed. Gurgle had been busy in the interim. First, he had put his life on the line helping to save as many Stenchers as he could from the impending disaster; then, he had helped to forge a new life for his nation in the land of Short Story.

Now, for the first time in a LONG time, he finally had a little while to relax. So, scales polished, wings exercised and body awful near exhausted, he'd set out to see the lands of NationStates and relax and rest. He'd ended up here.

With nothing better to do, he decided to give the folk around him a gentle introduction to himself and the things he could do.

Once upon a time, an evil witch named Analretentia had briefly taken over the Dominion of Dastardly Stench, and she and her two horrible henchmen, Spic and Span, had consigned Gurgle to the Dungeon of Darkness, whose only gatekeeper was the Genie of the Gross. Like all Genies, the Genie of Gross was compelled to grant the wishes of all who asked them, but he had been consigned to the Dungeon because of his cruel and vile sense of humor. Grant the wishes he did, but each one had some cruel joke perpetrated upon the wisher.

But Gurgle had known about the Genie, and thus had made a special wish--and he still remembered the Genie's reaction:

"YOU WANT WHAT? AHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAAH! RIOT! RIOT! OH, OF COURSE I'LL DO THAT FOR YOU!"

And thus it was that Gurgle was given his special, magical power: he could fart at will, and the fart would smell like anything he wanted it to.

And thus it was that, after a brief lifting of a certain tail and a short but notable interlude of a certain type of noise, that the air around the dragon began to smell distinctly of honey with a hint of cinnamon.

Of course, there were other aspects to the dragon's special, magical power, but that would be for some later time. For now, all that the dragon could do was breathe deeply and sigh in ecstasy.

Katja gathered her things and she left the hospital, she caught a cab and arrived back home with Mulberry.

Lucian was coming down from he and Katja's room to attend to the bar. He looked over and saw that Katja had come back, he was a little taken aback. Wait... Katja's here? Already? Borys's meeting with the police had gone smoothly. His superbly forged documents had proven their worth, but he knew that if there were a Habajani or Kurzhivskyj agent in play, the police would not find him...

He may have to wait longer. Fortunately, Spetzpol were in no rush to pull him out, as the war in Habajan was at a deadlock, and they had enough agents in the field.

Lucian walked up to the beachhouse, two days ago he'd been called back to Greywatch for a quick meeting that apparently couldn't wait. He hoped that Katja wouldn't mind his sudden absence, he had a hard time explaining why he had to up and leaveon such short notice.

Katja was washing Mulberry, she was sobbing as she knew Lucian had lied to her, he left her as his holiday floozy....

Milly looked at him and smiled.
'yeah she is gorgeous' she said smiling, she tidied away the breakfast things and put Amber to bed, Milly then came out and sat on his lap, she didnt weigh alot.

Lars put his arms around Milly. "Thanks for the breakfast. It was really good." He paused, taking the moment in. "So, after this summer at the beach house, what do you plan to do next? Go to school?"

Lucian came up behind Katja and wrapped his arms around her, "I'm back." He was silent as he noticed her crying, "Hey, I'm sorry I had to go but I told you it would only be a couple of days. C'mon now, I'm serious... I wan tthis to work..."

Katja turned around and smiled through shampoo bubbles and tears, she hugged him tight.
'I missed you so much' she said, she wiped her tears away.

'I don't know, I have Amber now, I want to become a massage therapist, I can do the course from home, depends where we end up, I'd love for her to have a father figure' Milly said, her skin so soft like porcelain, she turned her head and kissed him gently, her smooth hair tickling his face.

Lucian was taken aback by the sudden hug but kept his balance, "Yeah, I missed you too. But I should hae more time now." He kissed her softly, "So how have things been?"

'Mulberry got attacked by a fox, so shes not been too well' Katja tried to hide the pregnancy test.

"Yeah, so am I. A fox? That must be one more unexpected thing that seems to happen around here..." Lucian looked over at Mulberry, "Well I'll help take care of her. Hear that girl? I'm back now." Lars had been about to say he meant her job, not her class, but he quickly forgot about that after he last question. He sighed. "That obvious? Yes, I suppose I am. I'm always thinking about the future, I guess. It's a bad habit of mine, really."

"I've never even thought about raising a kid... having a family... it's always been work, work, work..... ever since that one day.... but now all this... I'm seeing what else life has to offer. Borys was accutely aware of being watched and studied. Peripherally, he could make out a figure staring straight at him. His suspicions flared up like a volcano. The man looked hardened, and was talking to the woman he had seen Nadia with before.

What the hell is that goon staring at? Maybe he's surprised I didn't choke on the fumes from the car he rigged. I'd better make sure of whether it was really him, or if he's just some random, nosey bystander. Maybe he's just checking-out Nadia, in which case I can understand it.
