The Paradise Beach Club House is a quaint little shack nestled in the outskirts of the Bamba forest, the club house looks out onto rolling beaches and beautiful seas.

The club house is open from June-September and the beach holds Feninia's national volleyball competition.

The owner is Katja Banquet, she is a well known entrepreneur who is retiring at the grand age of 26, she has made enough money to live off of the club house for years to come.

However the place needs a vamp and some active regulars

The Paradise Beach Club was just a general hang out for everyone, weird, wacky or normal characters, no politics and stuff....almost like a soap opera, with the Beach Club House being the central meeting place. :):)

So I take it this is a modern time theme and it's a place for nations to send diplomats, leaders, and/or other important peoples to just, essentially, hang out and party?

OOC: you can do whatever you like, you can send ordinary citizens, or diplomats/royalty who are just in need of a break :) all in all its just for a good time

Yeah its modern day theme, no weapons or 'god-modding' though,

Katja came in and opened the place up, it was a scorcher outside she wore her dungeree-shorts, she mopped up and opened to doors to air the place out.
'its been too long' she sighed with a smile on her face.

Commander Dragonborn, head of Greywatch's Dragon's Ridge airbase finally decided it was time for a break. Who could blame him seeing as the last few months had been so hectic, he packed his bags and headed out to a beach house he'd heard about. He was to arrive there by plane in only a few hours time. He brought a laptop with a wireless connection, just in case there was anything he had to handle back at home.

Mr. James wondered into the Paradise Beach Club House, he really didn't remember much from the night before, or how he got to where he woke up, but that was normal for a Tuesday night. He pulled a deck of cards out of his pocket, sat at a table in the corner, and started playing solitaire. Hopefully some more people would come, and he could get a poker game going...

Dragonborn waved back but didn't say anything, he still had to loosen up from years of being in the military. He wore camo shorts and a sleeveless white shirt. He had a bag on his back as well as a dufle bag in one hand, a suitcase in the other. Finally he decided to say something, "Hey, yeah... you have anywhere I could drop this stuff?"

OOC: Harry Langley was the first prime minister of Zinaire. Nowadays, he's 71 and the kind of harmless bigot that old people seem prone to becoming. Here's the wiki page on him: Wikistates (http://wikistates.outwardhosting.com/wiki/Harry_Langley)

Harry Langley wanted to get out of Zinaire. He didn't like the way things had been going since he left office– too "integrated" he said. Not to mention the ban on public smoking which left him with a very short list of places that he could spend more than a couple minutes.

Harry had heard about a little beach house that was popular among B-list political types. He figured he'd earned a vacation although he wasn't quite sure how. Harry packed just the base necessities: three cartons of cigarettes, a dozen cigars, his pipe and tobacco, a selection of fedoras and two large bottles of whiskey because "these [HOMOPHOBIC REMARK] beach places never have enough booze."

The ex-PM boarded his seaplane (an antique that Harry keeps at the Belle-Côte (the beach town he has retired to) harbor. Although he wouldn't admit it, he pretends to be Indiana Jones while aboard) and set off for Feninia.

Harry's plane landed picturesquely in the water before the beach house. It taxied to the shore and Harry disembarked, shaking his fist at the pilot for getting him wet.

He made his way to the beach house and set his suitcase down on the counter. He pointed at Katja and called her over.

"You. You in charge? I want a room with no [RACIAL SLUR]s and an ocean view. Got one?"

As he was talking, Harry fished around in his bag and found his pipe and tobacco. Clenching it between his teeth as he finished talking, he lit it about began to smoke.

Harry grumbled something about the state of hospitality today and went off to find his room.

He finally found the right beach hut and opened the door. He threw his bag onto the bed and opened it up. He took a pack of cigarettes and a cigar and put them in his breast pocket. Then he poured some whiskey into a flask and put it into his pants pocket. He zipped his bag back up and returned to the main house.

Harry flung open the houses door, silhouetting himself, fedora and all, against the tropical sun.

"Now what the [EXPLETIVE] is there to do around here?" He yelled to the room in general.

Julius Mundus stepped out of his VTOL and onto the sandy beach near the resort. Another clone of the emperor, Julius was placed in charge of a large public works division, a stressful job that warranted a little R&R in an exotic location, at least in the mind of a Mundus.

He stepped through the front door, his handsome face touched with sweat, the comfortable tropical climate being a bit too warm for the man from northern Belkaros. Looking around, he saw a strange cast of characters; a military man, a buisnesman, an old crank, a few drunks and a beautiful native. He approached the native and the buisnesman, hoping to strike up a conversation and find a room for himself, and a drink if he was lucky.

Dragonborn found his room and dropped his stuff there, he didn't bother to change, what he had on would be good enough. He straightened up his messy brown hair and walked back to where everyone else was. Strange cast of characters, but hell, he'd worked with the Council of Dragons back home and that was a sure was of getting someone used to strange groups of people. The VTOL craft was a bit of a suprise, he didn't intend on seeing anyone use one of those, kicking up sand everywhere, making a fancy entrance... it wasn't his thing. He took a seat amd looked around, "Nice place you got here." He said to Katja. He then looked to Julius, "Sup."

There was the faint noise of a rotor turning in its continuous motion, a relaxing touch of a luxury seat massaging the back, the scent of the sea calming an anxiety which seemed to last for eons. To look at the sky was another of the many sensations that touched the depths of the soul, pleasured by the fleeting flavor of a pineapple which refreshed the soft silk of the mouth. An scratch of the right eye was the only interruption to the already relaxing arrival, with the immediate, involuntary observation of the pale white, delicate hands of the self, and all seemed incredibly heavenly in the intermingling of all such pleasant sensations.

Nonetheless, the bliss of ignorance was absent, and the sound of the rotor seemed to attempt to push all away from the moment, dragging a mind to faint, poorly defined images, equally tropical and hovering through the skies, but where the comfortable sense of the seat was replaced with the burden of a heavy weight that was felt as clearly as before, and vision itself was restrained by the limits of two lenses of a gas mask, a vision which contained on its farthest corners, the unforgettable specter of a large cylinder attached to a weapon, and it was not long before the swooping helices of the copter would be substituted by a singular shout of hatred and disgust that echoed as a visage of rejection and an unbearable shame. "Assassin!", a cry at such vibrating intensity that it could be swore that they eyes could see it written in blood in the distances of the horizon and limits of vision, or perhaps a fruit of a synesthesia borne of the intensity of the memory. The assault became fickle when a male voice rasped through the swooshing noise of the chopper, announcing something that would be expected:

"We are almost arriving! Have a nice vacation!"

Present again swept the past senses all way through the depths of the consciousness, and a slight push, like if the seats were moving, was sensed, while the horizon seemed more immobile than before, except when certain points of reference, a chain of mountains far away amidst the jungle to the depths beyond the expected shore, seemed to raise beyond what the windows of the flighting vehicle would let be seen. Turning the head to the right and looking down, a distant, rustic-styled set of buildings with several comforts was spotted. A small storm of shifting sands emerged, watched from the window, and ahead the immensity of blue waters limited by waves that rocked with the sand. Twisting an arm, the tourist grabbed a single bag that was all the luggage to carry to such paradise, and the right hand, the door opened as the muscles could be felt making a tiny struggle, and with little pondering, the disembark was done, confirmed as the feeling of the sand hitting the soles of the feet became yet another of the several pleasant sensations. But ahead of the eyes, there was no resort, but only the sea, and like a mermaid, such visage enchanted, and made the idea of checking the unnatural building, for now, uninteresting compared to appreciating such nature.

The woman simply could not refuse to stop for some time right there, to feel everything, the breeze blowing the hair and refreshing her forehead and body, the warmth of the soft sands, the visage of the waves and of its sounds at the edges of the sea. A thought came to her mind, that maybe her time in the earthly realm has ended, and she was unaware of the fact that all of that was some form of paradisiac afterlife. Thoughts interrupted as the same nightmarish cry seemed to come together with the waves, as if sea itself was shouting, like the home of tormented spirits:

"Assassin!"

The next sensation was brief, soon the image her eyes seen panned up, and the soft sand amortized with its touch her knees, and the neck seemed to follow, bending down her head, with her eyes briefly seeing only the sand, and the white skin of her bare legs shaped by a nearly masculine musculature. Putting the palms of her hands into her face, the will of crying was not small, as not even such paradise seemed to be sufficient for the sins to be forgiven and forgotten, and neither was an aid when for each further wave of the sea that ended, the sound of a gunfire could be heard together with it. Unaware of how being knelt on the sand with heads down was calling attention, now a strange visage assaulted her senses without any warning.

The feeling of being knelt still was strong, but some sort of protective gear also pressed against her knees. The circular sight of a scope bathed by a green light was all that she could see, and the sensation of being much more clothed was also something this woman immediately noticed. To the center of the visage, a shadow was behind the glass of a luxurious stained window which vitral had the unmistakable image of a red hammer crossing a red sickle, where such window was surrounded by majestic piled stones that were very close to those of a medieval castle.

Details which were not as important as such shadow was. A shadow which motions seemed to indicate someone who was speaking in the telephone. The vision had a slight interruption as an almost involuntary flick of both eyes came, and the tension was visible, as the cold metal of the trigger guard was felt by her right finger, and the weight and shape of a weapon was shared among her hands and arms. The figure continued to move from one side to the other, like someone impatient, until it finally stopped. The sound of a click, and of a suppressed noise came as a strong pull of the object she held was felt. The shadow has fallen and the stained window was painted with another red.

Then past vanished, a nightmarish flashback which was finally over, and he darkness and sensation of her hands touching her face were back, as was the softness of sand and the breeze of the sea. An urge to attempt sensing such comfort was what made the woman simply get up again, as she could sense her muscles at work, and simply continue staring at the horizon. Time was no longer something she could sense, and thus she stood there, willing to wait for a happening rather than to make anything happen, for the latter never was a bringer of joy.

The government of Kahanistan was in turmoil. They were about to be dragged kicking and screaming into an era of unrestrained capitalism, Allanean-style laissez-faire libertarianism, and Kingston Pact cock sucking.

Needless to say, the communist President of Kahanistan, Nadia Sklenova, needed a break from the government. The rumours of no-confidence votes against her weren't helping, nor was the weakening of the Communist Party in favour of more pro-Praetonian elements touting national survival above economic principles. She had no plans to run again in the next election.

Sklenova landed on the island, thinking she could use the break time. When she looked in the mirror on her way into the bar, she realised that she was really too young to be heading up a country, especially one in transition trying to find its place again in the international community. She was only 33 years old. True, at that age Alexander the Great had taken over half the world, but then again, in those times fewer people lived to be 33 than they did in the 20th or 21st centuries. She still had a good 50 or 100 years ahead of her.

The slim blonde woman sat down at the bar. She looked healthier already now that the weight of the government was temporarily off of her shoulders. She smiled at the woman at the bar in a friendly manner and asked, "Do you... have anything cold, say, frozen coconut milk?" In an environment where guards weren't welcome and there were large numbers of men looking for action, it was unwise to say the least for her to get drunk.

Nadia smiled widely. "Thanks," she said, handing Katja a five-shekel note. She hoped they took foreign currency over here; she'd forgotten to have the cash in her wallet converted to USD.

"I'm fine," she said to Dragonhorn. "Just need some fresh air. I'll be on the beach." She said it sincerely, suggesting she wasn't just looking for a way to escape the new man. "My name's Nadia." She didn't feel like explaining who she was.

Unlike most Kahanistanian women, who would have jumped at the chance to mingle with the numerous males on the island, Nadia was somewhat personally conservative in that respect. While she held a liberal sexual morality, accepting homosexuality and having a tolerant view of free love, it just wasn't for her. She was more interested in relaxing for a few days before returning home to face the political music back home; if someone wanted to join her for conversation, she was fine with that even if she wasn't going to seek out companionship.

She took the glass and walked out to the beach to find a place to sit down, sitting down under a large umbrella. Nadia didn't look like most people's conception of a politician - she was about 5'5", athletic, and fairly slim. She was in a good mood today and would likely be considered approachable, especially since she seemed to be one of relatively few females in the area.

The faint sound of 'Leave Out All The Rest' by Linkin Park could just be heard from the radio. Suddenly the engine spluttered and started to belch dark black smoke. Alex spotted land and headed for it. There was a large beach, on which he could land, next to which there appeared to be a beach house of some kind. The Glider-Trike stalled and went into a deep dive, Alex only just managing to continue heading for the land. The Glider-Trike hit the beach and went up in a big fireball and then Alex's blackened body crawled out of the wreckage and lay slumped, unconcious on the beach.

With the sand touching her back softly, and the grip of her left hand on her bag, an attempt to relax and forget was passing through as she looked at the clear skies and let herself to be tanned, ignoring the biting heat of the sand, which was irrelevant after all that has been felt. But the nightmare was over, and her eyes and ears could no longer sense images and noises of what already happened, nothing but the calm beating of the waves and breeze, with the hot sun touching her untanned white skin, as she remembered to have used proper sunscreen even before the trip. The moment only interrupted as she could listen precisely the soft pushes of sand by someone coming to the beach, but simply ignored it, for paying too much attention could trigger other unpleasant flashbacks. However, a sting of curiousity drove her to get up, with the sand leaving her body but still covering much of her back as she could feel, and she finally turned around to look at someone. A light brown string of her hair blocked her view as she quickly putted it back, and shook it to take away some of the sand. Now it was clear as another woman was taking a rest in a chair and getting a suntan. She approached the blonde woman, and her absence of voice for all the time ended when she decided to address such woman, thinking on trying English, an English which had a visibly Norwegian accent, as she continued to held her bag:

"Hello, great place here! I am still getting used to this, first time in my life I get into a beach for leisure. I am really enjoying it so far", she said, while scratching he right eye, and with a slight pause she added: "I was really needing some vacation, now... "

Suddenly her eyes caught a glimpse of the jungle afar. Everything began to twist at her sight and the woman ahead of her was no longer there, and neither were the sands of a beach, instead only the thick depths of a tropical forest, and a disgusting bald man with black eyes. Her hands pressing firmly against his neck, as she said, unaware that it was more than a memory, and that she was repeating such words in the present to the woman she just met in the beach, and making a visible gesture with her hands as if she was grabbing an invisible individual, with the same closed facial expression also being reflected in reality

"Where? Tell me now! Where?"

The disgusting man quickly answered with a clear lack of care to his own life, mockingly:

"You are going to be a great slut after we get you"

With a major strength applied, her hands began to bend the neck of such man in her vision, quickly breaking it as it began to stood lifeless, and the gesture equally repeated in reality. With a kick, the corpse was thrown to the ground, and thus she kicked it again, again and again, until all vanished and the surprise of seeing an woman sitting down a meter ahead of her and the manner she was with her hands, back in the paradise, impelled a gasp and a very uneasy feeling, to the point an urge to gulp and swallow everything behind a facade was very strong, and she attempted to pretend she had done nothing weird, asking her before such woman could say anything to her, and forcing a smile and mask of normalcy that seemed perfect, if the same woman did not witness what just happened:

"Not that I am willing to go there right now, but where is the hostel and the lodging area?"

She did not feel interested into much talk for the moment, apparently stressed by the fact that a man just got burned, and she seemed to be very tense, with her hair a bit frizzle, like if having goosebumps. She simply walked through the lodging are, carrying her brown leather bag in her left hand, which seemed quite heavy, and looking at the woman that seemed the responsible for the resort. She spoke again, with her Norwegian accent, as she began to open her bag, looking at the quaint room details and taking slow breathes before speaking:

As the woman grabbed the wallet from her bag, the question she was thinking on asking was very evident, and smiling back to Katja, she seemed to be even more pleased than all others in that place, for she has been deprived of such joys for a long time, and thus they seemed happier, despite the incident, and despite the occasional flashback.

As she was about to ask it, another strange sense tingled her ears, like an unknown voice saying a single word, but this time it did not affect or bother her, and this woman simply went one with the simple question:

"What is the price for this marvelous sight, Katja?"

It seemed fair to her, considering that apparently that lady was a hard-worker, who did all by herself, which was not easy at all. Looking at Katja, she immediately decided to answer, as she finally grabbed some sort of unusual card from her wallet, which was quite different for the fact that it was linked to a light framed device with a LCD display, but actually there were two cards in it:

"Twelve weeks, do you accept digital currency?"

Immediately, she also notice how one of the man was flirting Katja, and became glad of her physique again. It was not something that would win any beauty contest, despite her pretty face, she thought, but the amount of "manly" muscles she had allowed her to go around just with a bikini without being the primary sight of the male audience, like she was at the moment with her green, large and wide bikini which hid most of her bosom to further avoid people looking at her.

And there were other interesting and more profitable venues to invest all the money she would spend with such vacations.

´"Seems like there is taste for everything, including a middle-aged "tomboy" like me. It is not like I would refuse a free time, for free"´

And as she finished her brief pondering, she turned her head to the man, and answered him back for his offer, smiling, but without making any form of seductive behavior:

It was one of the oldest ones in the book, the answer that the man gave was so obvious that she felt an irresistible urge to smile cynically and make a sort of comment fittingly with such smile, but her rational thought stopped her, and instead she continued observing the man and his own features, and took the mutualist credit transferrer to show him, putting it at the palm of her right hand and extending it to him, as she replied with her unique accent:

"It is more than just a credit card. A mutualist credit is a fully digital currency that we use in the Confederacy, and rather than an access card to a bank account, this is in itself a value. This device is a transferrer, which allows blank cards to receive the proper quantities of E-cash in a transaction according to what I set to be transferred in this tiny keyboard here", she stopped then, pointing to a very compact keyboard in the light framed device holding both cards, which seemed to be quite unique.

"I always bring at least fifty blank cards when traveling, but the others are in my bag. They are printed free of charge, sponsored by our coops. Many international banks accept them as legitimate currency to be directly transferred to bank accounts. Actually, this is a simple transferrer, but more complex ones also contain usb ports that allow you to make a deposit to a bank account right from the closest computer. That is basically how this works, and it is very convenient."

A free ride was something that was very, very tempting. But she had other plans rather than letting such man "conquer" her, as she was expecting he would attempt to.

´It was a large clearing in the outdoors of Mediterranean woods, a completely strange place that seemed to be seen for the first time in her mind, with her eyes spotting several gymnastics and training tools spread around, including heavy lifting weights, walls covered with barbed and electric wires, security cameras, tight apertures to crawl into, places with objects and architecture to take cover and sneak, and a large placard near a wooden shack saying, in Spanish, Portuguese and English: "No Pain, No Gain". Sweat could be felt dripping from her hairs and forehead while her light and flexible sport shoes were wet of sweating as she felt. Through her tightly-fitting tracksuit there was sweat literally bleeding through from all parts of her increasingly fit body. She felt herself very tired and exhausted, and her vision saw a tall, muscular blond-haired man of almost perfect fitness as he looked straight through her eyes with his brown eyes as he said, using Spanish language:

"I hope you took your intermediate physical training seriously Maria, you have a natural talent on agility which made of you the highlight of your class but you must have already increased your endurance and strength during the last six months to be able to circumvent the simulated situations that I shall present now, starting from situation one, and I'll be brief describing it: You are hidden in a room must sneak through a door at its middle which connects to another room, but there is no way to avoid being caught once you pass through it as it is open and there are five guards with direct field of view to the opening of the door on the room the door leads to. If you backtrack you'll end in a dead end and there is no other single way for you to escape. Finally if you entered in combat you would have to face 100 hostiles at once and you do not have a silencer and neither you have any form of disguise. What would you do?"´

She saw again the man ahead of her, Amin Karasov, and the current times were again what her senses experienced, as she quickly replied to him about the manner she seemed to have suddenly fallen asleep, while standing still with her eyes open:

"I am sorry, I sometimes dream too much. I am Agathe Nansen, retired consultant of an armaments confederated industry. Nice to meet you. About living in the Confederacy, it is not much different, except that all the private sector is made of cooperatives, and nobody will starve because of lack of credits because all the agriculture, except for luxury foods, is collectivized, it is said that it 'boost consuming power' so the coops also sponsor agriculture and the distribution of basic needs for free to the entire population. But without credits, life gets very boring.", she explained, and after a pause, continued to tell about some of the peculiar features of her homeland:

"Oh, also we don't have to bother with taxes, because there is no government, not in the normal sense of the word. Not that it made much of a difference for me. I have been busy setting up multinationals and all the issues around it, so I rarely resided in my own homeland."

As she finished speaking, the flashback that came to her mind became the primary attention of her thoughts. Who was that blonde man talking to her, and which importance he had in her past were questions she struggled to remember, but have failed to. And thus, all the remained to do was to forget the past, for now.

"We all dream at times, Miss Nansen, even if we are talking to people; I don't mind and I must say it is a pleasure to meet you and to learn about the Confederacy which already sounds a lot different from the Ixanian Empire. Have the cooperatives been relatively successful or have there been times in which they have struggled to do what they are made to do? In Ixania, we have cooperatives too but our nation is primarily capitalist; well, in a mixed economy because we have both private and government control of the market. We are also an absolute monarchy, we have been for centuries, led by Empress Anastasia the Second. She is a good monarch, in my opinion, and many people love the monarchy though we possibly have some communists, republicans and so forth."

"Oh, also we don't have to bother with taxes, because there is no government, not in the normal sense of the word. Not that it made much of a difference for me. I have been busy setting up multinationals and all the issues around it, so I rarely resided in my own homeland."

"What is the government of the Confederacy like then, Miss Nansen? My family often seeks to expand its company into the markets of other nations and perhaps they could expand into the Confederacy and/or this nation of Feninia. Is there anything else about the Confederacy that I should know?"

Smiling in a very strange manner, Agathe remembered about the market leader in soft drinks of the Confederacy, the infamous Cocaine-Cola Cooperative, and soon replied to Armin, but this time, she decided for a reason to throw her heavily accented Russian into the conversation, hoping to impress him:

"Наши потребители являются слишком политическими, и они уже выбрали их любимый напиток, это называют Колой Кокаина."
(Our consumers are too political, and they already have chosen their favorite drink, it is called Cocaine-Cola.), she said, and with a pause, continued her argument about Third Spanish States:

"Большинство из нас бойкотирует продукты корпорации, даже если они более дешевы чем, что продают кооперативы."
(Most of us boycott corporation products, even if they are cheaper than what the cooperatives sell.)

All the past seemed to be fading away as she amused herself in secrecy with her personal game of wits.

Armin's face lit up in a great smile as he listened to her speak Russian. Being from a Russian family which immigrated to the Ixanian Empire many years ago, it made him more intrigued during his meeting with Agathe. She certainly was an interesting woman.

Кола кокаина? Как можно питье с таким провокационным именем сделать? Если оно имеет кокаин в ем, то много наций и большинств правоподобный бойкот оно. (Cocaine Cola? How can a drink with such a provocative name be made? If it has cocaine in it, many nations would most likely boycott it.)

Я понимаю ситуацию о бойкотировать товаров корпорации; не трудно для меня понять что они должны быть самолюбивы в кооперативах. (I understand the situation about the boycotting of corporation goods; it is not hard for me to understand that they must be proud in the cooperatives.)

Armin smiled. "Tell me more about yourself, Miss Nansen. What are your hobbies, etc?"

Nansen seemed to be even more amused. It seems like tourist guides were still a bit underfunded about all that was "different" in her homeland. The twelve years old age of consent, the "Nudism Day", the YouTube Voyeurs, television broadcasting "companies" in the Internet, lack of laws controlling porn, and all sorts of strange things to expect from a place so libertarian(and libertine) that it reached almost the point of being unhealthy. Her answer came again in English, as the last time she spoke Russian, she could not even remember anymore:

"Cocaine-Cola is made of Cocaine, but only one coca leaf per can, although bottles are even less concentrated, with only one leaf for two liters of drink. It is not really that unhealthy, for alcoholic beverages are much worser. But there is nothing forbidden there, as long as it does not involve harming others than yourself, although if someone is stupid enough to consent formally into being harmed, then it is another history", and with an interruption, she scratched her left eye for a few seconds, before answering to his other question, which now give it entirely away that he was at her:

"I like to play paintball, it is my favorite hobby, but sometimes I also like to just stop from everything and relax. I was born in Oslo in 2004, but my parents moved to Spain because of the Peak Oil in 2015, because they feared persecution because of the political beliefs of my father. Which in the end was deeply ironic"

Unable to find the man, for now, Nadia returned to the place where people seemed to be talking and joined one of the conversations. Her parents were Russian so she spoke the language fluently and was able to find an opening in the ongoing conversation.

[My knowledge of Russian is pretty basic, so bear with me if you see spelling or grammar errors. It's not exactly my first language, and I'm using a dictionary for some words.]

"Здраствуйте," she said casually, speaking to the woman lest she think Nadia was trying to steal her boyfriend. "Я новая здесь. Меня зовут Надя." (Hello. I'm new here. My name's Nadia.)

After extending her hand to the woman, she joined the immediate discussion. "В Военно–воздышныее силы Каханистана, некоторый пользаем кокаину. Я не, а много населения штатский польают кокаины, тоже." "I have not heard of that conflict at all, Nadia, but perhaps you could enlighten me about it and why it was waged. Ixania has not had a major war since the days of its founder, Leto the Great, who lived centuries ago. Those days, as I read in school, were often bloody and chaotic."

Apparently, he hadn't heard much of Kahanistan, either. Nadia had been elected president shortly after the rebuilding. Then again, she wasn't traveling with security or weapons, and she wasn't talking about the very high chance the Senate was considering a vote of no confidence in her. She didn't want to talk much about being a national leader and intimidating someone.

"Yes, I'm involved in politics," she said. "There are several theories as to the origins of the Second Doomani War. The Questarian Commonwealth, which at the time was allied to Doomingsland, wanted control of our eastern shores and a land path from Northford. At least, that was the excuse they gave... as a neutral nation we don't interfere with traffic by belligerent powers. It's no justification for war, let alone irradiating civilian populations." She seemed bitter and angry.

"Few of us believe that. It was in the Q.C.'s interest not to have a nation hostile to Doomingsland on their border. That is the most likely reason. Our ideology and that of Doomingsland almost diametrically oppose."

Robert climbed down from the steps of the bus. The trip from the airport had been a disaster. Too crowded , too noisy, and too long. He reached the bottom step and looked at his surroundings. What he saw pleased him. It was just what he'd been looking for. With his marriage in the toilet and the book writing going no where, his life seemed like a endless bad novel. He'd hoped this place lived up to it's reputation he'd heard so much about back home. He wasn't sure what exactly to wear today so he chose his pinned striped suit with the pale blue shirt and hoped for the best. He desperately wanted to get a good start on the book. His publisher had been pressuring him for a while now and he knew his time was running out. Robert ( Bob) walking into the lobby and his first impressions were of the sweet smell of incense and liquor. He noticed the bar from the first step and also how very dark and subdued the lighting was. He felt very comfortable right away. He knew he had enough money for a good long stay but didn't know if this was conductive to his writing. He HAD to get this project started. He had been too long alone now, and the small bathing suits he could see would certainly be a distraction. He walked up to the counter and hoped for any kind of lodgings. He didn't need the best or the most expensive. He was mentally exhausted. He longed for a place where his writers block would not fight him, his memory would give him peace and he could find a short bit of comfort, either in a drink or a soft woman to listen to his pain. As the imagery of something still blurry began to overcome her consciousness, Agathe simply remained silence, focusing into dismissing it while attempting to pay attention to the conversation the woman she have met before in the beach was having with Armin. As she heard about the military using cocaine, she coughed and began to take conclusions about the fate that Kahanistan has suffered, and on how they were not yet enoughly capable to offer then protection, while allowing them to preserve a socialist model. It was too late now, and soon it would become another land of surplus-value and capitalist pigs enriching with the sweat of the poor while they lived in luxury.

And as it came the mention of the Second Doomani war, Agathe could no longer hold it inside, and she lost again touch with reality as a new vision overwhelmed her.

´This time, the vision of an Olympic gymnasium, with the sensation of something hanging on her neck, and an incredible feeling of joy. It seemed completely alien to her such memory, as if forgotten. Applauses could be heard as her name was announced. "Marie Nansen", as the winner of the 2016 Olympic Gymnastics. The awe was immense, and all she hoped was to find her parents among the crowd. Looking at the organizer of the event, she asked as a much younger voice, of a early teenager came:

"Where are my parents? Did they come?"

"Please Nansen, come with me", the man said, as she left the gym with applauses, and came to a room with the man.

"I am sorry I have to say this, but your parents died in the Food Riots."´

The vision faded, and back to reality, Agathe looked at Armin and at the woman, replying to him about his question, while forcing back tears that insisted on coming:

"Armin, about my parents, the irony is that they left Oslo to escape from death, and in the end, were murdered by the same communists that they supported before. We had no stomping of fanatical subhumans from lands uncharted in our own maps, but we have suffered much. I have witnessed how oil can destroy any hope of peace, and I", she interrupted, sighing deeply and falling into a veiled silence again.

Nadia looked at Agathe and took her hand. "Yes, it's stupid to fight over resources rather than share them," she said sadly. "What... happened to your parents?"

She spoke in a soft tone that suggested that she wouldn't take offence if Agathe were to go into a tirade about how evil communists had murdered them. She'd heard enough communist bashing in 33 years to know that much of it was actually directed against Stalinist regimes rather than social democracies.

Sorry to hear she's not here. I was hoping for a room for a while. Do you think she'll be back soon? Bob had already decided that this was his kind of place. He walked into the bar and ordered a gin and tonic. The ice didn't even start to melt when he ordered another. The fellow in the lobby seemed like a nice enough fellow. What he really wanted was to get settled as soon as possible. He needed to forget his life for a while. His wife had found the neighbor more agreeable then himself. Bob felt that sick wave overcome him again, and he hurried the thought from his mind and took another swig from his glass. I wonder how one loses themselves in a place like this? He hoped he had gone far enough away from home to begin to recover and start again. Bob undid his top shirt button and finished his second drink. Perhaps he could invite that person from the lobby in for a drink with him. Someone to pass the day with till he could get a room. My name is Robert, Robert Terhune. Would you care to have a drink? Bob knew he was feeling slightly more "relaxed" and talkative then before he came in. This was the only person Bob had talk to in the last week, even if it was just a point of information. "Come join me for a drink?"

Katja bought some food supplies in, shortly followed by Mulberry who dragged the last few bits in.

She sat down and waited for it to get busy.

Thoughts swirled on her mind. The rumors, the turmoil of three factions fighting for power, or for the abolition of the same. Anarchists, stalinists and the government were in conflict. Little before his death, he told her that he was disillusioned with marxism, but never explained why. Perhaps something important was discovered, and Agathe quickly replied to Nadia about it:

"My parents. Some say the government killed them at that time, but I believe it were goons of the Communist Party of Spain, because I think my parents discovered their real agenda for the nation. Not that it will matter for much time, the time for payback is now on the way, and soon the Communist Party of Spain will be nothing but another forgotten bunch of mass-murderers facing 12 gauge justice.", she said, taking a deep breath, and continued with the tales of a soviet Spain:

"Sixty millions murdered in one of the greatest genocides of history, an Orwellian nightmare with touches of a Brave New World, people conditioned from birth to be slaves and sold overseas as slaves, more than fifty percent in horrible conditions and forced labor... that was their agenda, with their People's Republic of Spain, they've made Stalin purges look like a child's play. But Spain shall be free now, for the Confederacy can no longer tolerate the existence of such abomination. And now they will no longer sell any slave, for they have naval blockaded them, we are at war because of it... since decades ago"

Sighing, she seemed very nervous as she continued to speak about it, with tenseness visible as she began to chew her fingernails.

Nadia put her arms around Agathe to console her. To her, selling one's own citizenry abroad was worse than invading and enslaving nations - not because her own people were somehow better, but because the government was entrusted by the people to protect them and betraying its duty of trust.

"I... never thought things were that bad over there," she said. Nadia figured that Agathe was probably nervous because she was talking to a communist about how the evil communists had murdered her parents. "I'm... sorry. I don't think like that, I believe that we're all equal and that communism was created to improve the conditions of the working class... not make them worse."

All this talk of politics made Nadia want something to drink. She wouldn't normally drink too much around a bunch of men for fear of being taken advantage of sexually, but Agathe looked like a strong woman. "Agathe... do you want to go up to the bar and get something to drink?"

Hey, My name is Bob and I desperately need a room for a while. I have been waiting for you and I sure like your place here. Anything as far as a room would be just fine. You must be Katja. I've heard so much about you and only hope it's all true. I just need a place to get my thoughts together for a while if that's all right?

It seemed like the time to pour down some bottles of Cocaine-Cola, specially as she reminded again why she never tasted it. For in the brass, all drugs, except for amphetamines and other stimulants, were forbidden and grounds for being fired of the company(in both business and military sense) as they were believed to drastically damage the physical coordination and intellectual capability of anyone. But on the other hand there was a certainty in her mind finding a can of Cocaine-Cola there would be as easy as finding a snow flake. Thinking again, Agathe found it better, as she would continue being a clean woman free of such addictions. Expectingly, she answered to Nadia what she thought:

"I know this subject is difficult, and let's leave it behind, for I am here just to forget a little of all. I do not drink alcohol, but I will find something for me.", she explained, and asked: "What would you want for drink? I can get it. I have all the time of the world now"

'I hope it is all good' she said with a blush.
'Of course, a room is the least we offer here, rooms start from £100 a week' she said smiling.
'Can I get you a drink?'

"Creme de menthe," said Nadia. She nodded and smiled. "I'm... trying to forget some things, too. Politics at home, for one." The Communist Party wanted things from her that she couldn't give, not without risking a destructive unwinnable war. The other parties would just as soon throw her out on her ass. She was, after all, far younger than most other national leaders, and had been asked to lead the country mainly because of her military reputation.

"So, what do you want to do here while you're away?"

I would love a drink..Bob was thankful for finally getting settled in. The thoughts of going elsewhere didn't appeal to him at all. Now unpacking, he found his laptop, sat it down and look at it as though it were his enemy. Bob knew it would be a struggle to bring the blank pages to life. He had done it before and the public had ate it up. He just had to repeat the magic again. But could he do it? He really didn't know. He sat there staring at the blank screen. The sound of laughter could be heard from outside. He knew in a instant it was a young woman. Walking to the window he saw her. She was wonderfully shaped, and bronzed from head to toe. What a beautiful creature. Bob knew he'd have trouble thinking clearly here, but it really didn't matter, watching her laugh with her bright white teeth gleaming in the sunshine. He removed his jacket which had become heavy with sweat and pulled at his sleeve, undoing the shirt cuff. Bob rolled his shirt sleeve till it brought the bruised portion of his arm into view. The needle would feel ever so wonderful tonight. He could rest in peace knowing he was safe at last. He could dream of Annie and the kids. Making time go backwards. Perhaps the thoughts of suicide wouldn't be so overwhelming tonight. Bob needed people in his life. He needed them soon........Katja herself was amazing..... Bob wondered......Bob wondered too much for his own good......He better not wear out his welcome so soon. He'd be watching her, for she was beautiful herself. Bob decided to slow his thoughts down. Only trouble could come of this train of thought....

OOC: who is Bob talking about? on the beach?

IC:
Katja could tell he was thinking and he was a worrier.
'So you need help settling your things in?' she asked, altering her bikini strap, she had a new purple skirt on, it was quite short, but she had some little shorts on underneath.

Lucian went to his room, it was getting a little late and he wanted to get some sleep on his first day. He'd be here for the entire summer most likely, as long as Greywatch kept out of trouble.

OOC: Gonna be gone prolly for the rest of the day.
