The Paradise Beach Club House is a quaint little shack nestled in the outskirts of the Bamba forest, the club house looks out onto rolling beaches and beautiful seas.

The club house is open from June-September and the beach holds Feninia's national volleyball competition.

The owner is Katja Banquet, she is a well known entrepreneur who is retiring at the grand age of 26, she has made enough money to live off of the club house for years to come.

However the place needs a vamp and some active regulars

Tyren Alax and Mystrin Kav strode in together at the front door. The were on break from the military and wanted a good place to relax for a while. With similar regional accents, similar brown hair and blue eyes, similar skin tones, and similar features, people tended to assume they were brother and sister. thankfully, they weren't.

They entered and looked around.

"Hello?" Tyren called. "Is anyone here?"

"Oh well I'll let Pockets have his pleasure. I'm gonna go out on the beach and maybe take a nap."

He got up and sat back down next to the man who had crashed here earlier. "So, your ankle still hurt?"

OOC: Thanks for the ice. I think the whole fun of writing a story is the ability to have pizzas appear whenever it is convenient, even if it is not entirely sensical. I had some on Friday in RL, so I figured I might as well add some here, too.

Lars suddenly jumped and turned to face Nadia. "Oh, sorry, I zoned out there. Um, were you asking about the yacht? Um... yes, I think I said I was going, and you are too, right?" Lars seemed somewhat dazed, like when he had first arrived.

OOC: I had pizza for lunch/dinner yesterday and for lunch today, pixxa is always good.

"Yeah," Nadia replied. "You seem kind of depressed about something, want to talk to me about it?"

"Huh?" Lars immediately tried to put on a smile, but it came out slightly crooked and fake looking. "Why would I be depressed? I'm on vacation, aren't I?" He tried to laugh a little, but it came out as an odd cough.

Nadia nodded. If Lars didn't want to open up to her, she wasn't going to push him.

Turtlecrest added his own laugh to Lars'.

"Vacations are hard to come by- I had to drop a plane on my cellphone for this one. No sense in not enjoying yourself while you're on one."

Lars looked at her. "So.... what do you think about this new guy? Darren, was it?"

Nadia nodded. "Cute," she said. "Interesting. I'll give him a chance. He does seem attracted to me."

She turned to the other man. "Drop a plane? You mean you pulled out your cell to make the plane crash?"

Lars's eyes seemed to focus. "Really? I suppose he was very forward. Well, good for you."

"Haha, no," Turtlecrest said to Nadia, "the plane crashed on its own. Lousy pilot, I guess. Anyway, the phone got a bit dinged up in the fall. You know, cracked screen, mashed buttons, missing battery. I could call the office on a landline and have them arrange some kind of pickup, but I always did prefer drinks on a bar in front of me over paper on a desk."

He blew a smoke ring out toward the ocean, watching it disintegrate a few moments later. He extinguished the clove and looked back at the other two.

"I suppose you booked your vacations like sensible people? What do you guys do, anyway? I am in finance, myself."

Darren woke up to see Pockets chasing a seagull.
"What the hell are you doing?" asked Darren, trying to hold back his laugh.
"What it look like I'm doing? I'm trying to get some food." replied Pockets.
"Well you know you can get some food from the bar, right?"
"You can??? Man I wish I knew that before." said Pockets.

Darren and Pockets both walked over to the bar. Darren grabbed a glass of Skyy Vodka, while Pockets got some Colt 45. Pockets then went outside of Rachel and Davids room, and began to listen. Meanwhile Darren went over to Lars and began to talk to him.

"Hey man, what's wrong?" Something seems wrong with you."

"Military," said Nadia. "Brought a friend over, but she... went off with a guy she met at the bar." She made a circle with her left hand and inserted her right index finger into it. The culture of Kahanistan was more accepting of such topics of conversation.

"Hey Nadia, you are going onto the yacht tomorrow right? Also is Rachel coming, cause if so Pockets told me to tell you to tell her that she can bring David. He said he could hear them when he was walking by their room, on his way to his. He said it sounded weird but they seem to like eachother. I don't know if it's just cause Rachels drunk, but he told me to tell you that anyway/

Lars looked between Nadia and Darren. "Me? No, of course I'm fine! I have every reason to be, don't I? I'm just tired, I guess." He wasn't sure if the others were convinced, but he didn't want to ruin their vacations with a pity-party.

"Man, you don't look fine. Is it because of me and Nadia? Cause since me and her started talking you weren't acting normal."

"What? No, why would that bother me? I'm telling you, I'm just tired!" Lars hadn't realized it, but he was standing and had raised his voice as he said this. He immediately looked down and muttered, "Please excuse me." He began quickly walking to his room. What's wrong with me?

"Damn. Man really tell me the truth." Darren walked up and began to follow him. He then stopped.
"I can take it, and I bet it's cause of Nadia. Really man if it's that reason we can talk about it. You, me and Nadia. I'm gonna walk back over to her and talk to her and if you want you can tag along."

"Yeah, I'm going," said Nadia. "Rachel said she'd probably come, too. Dunno about Lars, though..."

"Well, if you will excuse me fine folks, I am going to go see if this tropical paradise is one of the ones with loos. I will catch up with you later." Turtlecrest nodded to the other patrons, and went in search of a door with a stickman on it.

OOC: Okay, so I am actually going to bed for the night. 'Twas fun, though. I should be back in twelve hours or so.

"I don't know what's wrong with him. I think it has to do with you. He seems to always stare at you, heh I don't blame him. Your beautiful. But he seems to be depressed all of a sudden. I think you, me and him should sit down later on and talk about all of this."

Lars hadn't stopped when Darren had talked to him, but he did once he rounded the corner. So, this is what I'm going to do? Run? Make excuses? How old am I, seven? He sighed. He knew Darren was right. He had let his emotions get the better of him. He walked back to the two and sat down. "Sorry." he muttered.

"Man it's ok. But sereously, what's wrong? Should i bring Nadia over and we can all talk. I think that'll help."

"It's up to her. But you're right. I should be talking, not walking away." he muttered.

Nadia nodded. "I'll listen," she said. "I don't want to be fought over. I'm probably not going to have a relationship with anyone here, I just want to loosen up a bit."

Right after he said that, he could see a large plane hurtling towards the beach, about six miles away. The plane was on fire. The thing that worried Darren the most was this was around the time his parents, son, siblings, dog and friends were arriving.
"Shit, I think that is the plane that got my fam on it!" said Darren to Nadia and Lars.
"I gotta go and check it out!" Darren ran out to where his Roles Royce Phantom was parked and started it. He then drove to the beach, and stopped.
"You all stay, you can come I guess if you want. Or you all can talk about what's going on between us."

Lars thought this seemed familiar. He was already half out of his seat when he looked at Nadia. The last time a plane crashed they had been talking too, and he had ran off without a word. He hadn't thought anything of it then, but now... it seemed rather mean. "Nadia, what do you think?"

Nadia stood bolt upright. A plane was about to crash right on the island.

"There's... nothing between us," she said, apparently unnerved by the plane. She stepped out of the bar to see the plane and the commotion...

"Ok I'll be going by myself. You all talk about it while I'm gone."

Darren then sped away. When he had got there, he saw rubble everywhere. He parked his car, got a bandana and covered his face, as to not inhale any fumes. He ran into the plane, the pilots were almost fine, stewerds, many of the passengers, all fine. He then saw his dog running at him.
"Good boy, now where's mom?" he said in a calm voice.
His dog led him to the second floor of the plane. Where he saw everyone who was visiting him. Everyone seemed to be minorly injured but his 9 year old brother. His brother was unharmed.
"Hey there little buddy."
When his brother Kash heard him, he looked up and ran to Darren and hugged him. Darren took out his phone and dialed the emergency number.
"Hello, I need paramedics to a plane crash. Yes, ok you have the adress? Ok hurry."
When the paramedics arrived, they took all of his family, but Kash and his dog, D. The paramedics told him that they hadn't sustained any major injuries, and would recover within a week. Darren brought his brother and his dog into the car and rushed back to the Beach House. When they got there he ran to Lars and Nadia with his dog and his brother.
"Hey you guys, all of my families in the hospital for a week, but my dog D and my brother, Kash. Kash this is Lars and Nadia. Lars and Nadia, this is Kash. And this is my dog. The hospital said my family would be fine and can get out within a week. What did you all talk about?"

"I know that was quick and that I'm not very worried. I've just learned to cope with this. But we need to talk together, all of us now. Kash, why don't you go and play fetch with D?"

OOC: Wow, I guess we just assume all that happened in a few moments?

IC: Lars looked straight at Darren. "Nothing, really." He paused, looking off into space. "I think I'll go take that nap after all. Oh, and nice to meet you Kash. Welcome to the party." He walked off and laid down on a couch.

OOC: The plane crash was minor. Ignore the thing about all the dead people, they all lived, and his family is fine, just bruises and cuts. It took about an hour. Because the police and paramedics arrived fast and told him to leave the area with his dog and brother while they asess the damage.

IC: "Nadia, what did you all really talk about? Lars won't tell me. I'm guessing it's bad. I kinda figured that he likes you."

"I can hear you from over here. It's not that I don't want to tell you, it's just that there's nothing to talk about. Now I'm going to my room so you two can have some privacy." He walked to his room and shut the door behind him.

Lucian woke up and slowly lurched forward, still half asleep. He looked over at Katja, who was still asleep next to him. A new day... he thought to himself quietly, he stroked her hair before slowly and quietly crawling out of bed. He put his clothes back on and headed back to his room, but not before kissing Katja on the forehead. Back at his room he took a shower and changed into some new clothes before heading back to the bar.

"well, we can handle that," said Mystrin. she smiled at kash and D friendlily (is that a word?).

"Do you know where we could rent a place to sleep?" asked Tyren. "i am TIRED of ship bunks."

OOC: Sorry if the owners not a woman, last I checked she was. And whoever plays her hasn't posted in awhile I don't think.

"Well, you can just go out to the front and ask for the keys to a room. The rooms are pretty nice, I haven't been in the water yet , but I will soon."

OOC: BTW don't RP the person in the front, you have to have someone else do it I think. And right, I forgot Fenina was on.

Even Nadia heard the noises coming up from David's room. She was surprised, but not terribly shocked that was what her friend was up to. She gathered her composure and shook the Deatans' hands.

"Owner should be at the bar, but she's hardly around these days," she said. She turned to Darren. "I think he likes me, too. I don't think that's bad, but if he's attaching to me too fast, he should probably talk to me before he gets hurt."

"I suppose I can get you soem rooms whilest Katja is sleeping." Said Lucian to the new arrivals, he was still waking up but had enough sense to know what he was doing.

Karl walked into his room, he relized that he fell asleep on the beach all night. When he went inside he took a shower, got on new clothes. He had on a shirt that was all black, with a rising sun on the front that was red. It looked exactly like an imperial JApanese rising sun. It also had white writing in some language he didn't reconize. He put on baggy jeans, that sagged a bit but not to much. The back pockets of his pants had the rising sun as well. Then he put on his shoes, which were all black, with redish rising sun designs on them. Only these ones had real red diamonds in the red suns. He then proceeded outside, went into the bar and grabbed a Yeungling. Then he walked to a chair and sat down.

"that could be helpful," said Tyren. "Thank you." He removed his wallet and prepared to follow Lucian. "i can handle this, Myst," he said.

Lucian walked behind the counter, "To be perfectly honest I'm not exactly sure how much these rooms cost." He took out a key and handed it to Tyren, "I'll just keep a record of the stuff you buy and whatnot and give it to Katja when she wakes up, she can handle the costs then. Sound good?"

OOC: That's what I'm doing. I think the front desk and the bar are like one and the same.

Mystrin could hear some interesting sounds. She made a near-imperceptible movemnet of her head towards the room.

"Should a 9-year-old be here?" she asked.

"Good idea Nadia, I think you should do it and leave me out of it for this talk. Cause he may be uncomfterable with me there, and it's not totally about me. Unless you or him want me there, which I doubt." said Darren to Nadia.
Darren got up out of his seat and walked to Pockets room. He knocked on it to see if Pockets was up yet. No answer, so he knocked harder and harder to try and wake him up. Finally it worked.
"Who the hell is at the door?" asked Pockets, sounding very tired.
"Man, it's Darren, get up already."
"Just give me five more minutes and I'll meet you out at the beach."
"Fine, if I'm not there then look for Kash."

"Yeah, Kash just came late last night. Along with my dog. The rest of my families in the hospital not to far from here. They were in a plane crash, but none of them were harmed. Just cuts and bruises. Kash and my dog were the only ones with no injuries what so ever. We're going to visit them later on, probably tomorrow. And the hospital won't allow dogs so could anyone watch over Dane while me, Kash and Pockets go to the hospital.?"

IC: "Its ok, they just have to stay there for a week, just to rest, but nothing really bad happened to any of them. But I heard on the news today that East Laos released a statement saying they were making an investigation about it. And they said that there was a large anti-aircraft ship around the area where they were first shot. So it is believed that the ship might've shot down the plane."

"and why would they do that?" tyren asaked. he had een trying to avoid military stuff on vacation, but it loked like your lifetyle would follow you around.

"Yeah, not to long ago. They crashed a little ways from here. But they're all fine. Nothings wrong with them and the worst injury was a cut from the knee to the ankle. Not even a deep cut, just a little bleeding. So nothings wrong really. In a week the East Laosian Int. Aid is picking them up and taking them back to East Laos, safely. I'll be staying here though. And I know it seems like I'm not worried, but it's just that this kinda thing has happened before to me. Wasn't bad either."

"So far we've had a guy crash his boat on the beach, the boat exploded and the guy is fine. We've recently had a jet pilot crash into the forest yonder. And now we have mysterious AA ships off the coast of Fenina shooting down civilian vessels.... can someone please tell what the hell is going on?" "Why would they shoot down a plane? I don't know, but it could've been a Belkarosian ship. They've tried to make East Laos part of their nation several times. This could've been a way of threatening us. I'm not sure. We went to war with them about a year ago, our nation didn't stand a chance. We lost many soldiers, and were bombed several times. When our new Prime minster took over he ended the war and now we don't want anything to do with Belkaros."

"They're pretty aggressive to be sitting in someone else's territory. Assuming it is them."

"And belkaros just ignored you afterwards?" tyren asked. Mystrin calmly walked over to Dane and knelt down. "Hi," she said. 'it looks like i'll be watching you for a bit, so behave, OK?" She was good with animals, having used them in her work.

ooc:It depends on how you view things. I see the MT/Ft thing as similar to two societies with vast technological differences living next to each other. Amazon tribes filled with primitive tech live at the same time as the modern US or other indusrialized nations. It's just that there's little benefit for direct interaction. the same thing would happen here. One group fell behind, the other went ahead, and now they rarely see each other.

OOC: Yeah but if that were the case then a whole lotta people could come in saying they were from different worlds. MT means your nation itself exists in MT unless stated otherwise by the thread owner, notice how Greywatch in this case is not using starships and the like. It's MT all the way around.

OOC: Well if someone had a replcator (or whatever those thing were from Star Trek) and just made whatever meal they wanted that'd be a problem. It's just MT means MT, it's not that hard a compromise to just sacrifice FT, think about it, you're going to talk about space pirates on a planet where people haven't even heard of such things. There'd be a complete theme change as people are wondering where you're from and so on, therefore, MT is MT, there just is no way to get around that without it being stated by the thread owner. Even Isa isn't using FT. And even if its not a pol/war thread it still matters.

Katja and Milly sat in the bar, Amber was in her cot suckling on a bottle of warm milk.

Rachel nodded and pulled on her dress. "I've got to get my bag," she said calmly. She got up and walked out past Nadia.

Rachel nodded and pulled on her dress. "I've got to get my bag," she said calmly. She got up and walked out past Nadia.

Ten minutes later, Rachel and Nadia were waiting outside the Imperial ship. Nadia was in a simple white off-shoulder sundress. Rachel was in a short, form-fitting, very low-cut red dress that went about a third of the way to her knee. They seemed to be eager to get aboard the ship, Rachel more so than Nadia.

Lars showed up in a brown and blue striped polo with camo-green shorts. "The non-alcoholic drinks are on, not that anybody will use them." He laughed. "Now we're just waiting for Darren, I suppose."

'yes...have fun' Katja smiled and waved as he went, she returned to the bar, Mulberry came trotting alongside Lucian.

Gaspard XVI looked at the beach house with a smile while his wife was busy taking her first pictures of the building with much enthusiasm. Gaspard had sought a vacation of sorts with his wife, Laney, to get away from the hustle and bustle of politics and left his nation in the hands of his capable ministers while he took up residence with his wife at the beach house he heard about from reviewers. The Emperor walked with his wife into the beach house and, scanning his surroundings with his eyes, found it to be of good quality. He was not one of those monarchs who loathed being in less then royal standard buildings but rather one who had a simple outlook on places. His wife was very happy to come because of her fondness for taking photographs of places that she visited and Gaspard, the bibliophile, had more than one use for the woman of his dreams. The escort took their luggage to their room while Gaspard and Laney looked around for other guests to talk to until Laney branched off to take some pictures of the coast including what appeared to be a VIP ship which had ventured onto the nearby sea. Gaspard, meanwhile, resigned himself to a quickly made martini while reading one of his books; he was a lover of literature and would say that it was his mistress. He looked built like a lumberjack but calm as the gentle giants one always hears about. Laney took plenty of pictures before running back to Gaspard; only to tease him about his love of books before sitting down beside him to order a glass of wine. You would not think them to be the Emperor and Empress of Myakka but they were; and were rather down to earth when it came to appearances.

The women took the drinks. Rachel took a swig.

"Nadia, go see if Lars heard me," she said. "Told him not much was going on when he called."

Nadia stood up and looked to see if Lars hadn't boarded yet. She waved in his direction. "Come on!"

Lucian stepped off to see Mulberry wating for him, "Well, well, if it isn't my olf friend." He walked quickly back to the bar and took a seat. "So, you called me?" He said to Katja.

IC: Lars looked up from the side of the ship and saw Nadia waving to him. He walked over to the hot tub. "Yes?" he asked.

"we leaving " David said as the ship start to move after someone let the ropes go from the dock

"Yeah, of course, I actually don't know when the ship was supposed to leave or get back to be honest. It's still... 7:45AM by my watch." He walked around the bar and hugged her, kissing her forehead.

"Well Laney, it's a pleasure to meet you. Finally someone else either high class here."

'ah, I take that as a yes, Iv made a special smoked salmon pasta bake with herb and lemongrass sauce'

"What's your name? I'm here with my husband, Gaspard, who is the current Emperor of Myakka. We thought this would be a good place to have a vacation and for me...it's also good to take photographs since I'm am a photographer in my spare time." (OOC: She has a lot of photo albums; her husband is a bibliophile (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bibliophilia) or a lover of books; he is a true bookworm.)

Laney smiled as she finished her wine. "I'm glad to be meeting people here. I may be high class but I don't think I'm superior to people because of it. I'm just an ordinary human who Fortune smiled upon."

Lucian gave a suprised look, "Wow... I don't actually know what to say. That's..." It's delicious is what it is.... He thought to himself. "Words can't express how much I appriciate this. I'm sorry if that sounds corny but it's true." How am I suppose to top that? I need to something really special... He kissed her again, this time on the lips, "Thank you Katja."

"My names, Mark" he smiled "But will you excuse for a moment"

He stood up "Hey Amber, how are you today?" he said as he crouched down to Ambers height, he then stood up again and said "Hows mummy been then?" he said to Milly

'Last night was fantastic' she whispered as so the other patrons didnt hear her' she smiled and slipped her hand into his,

Laney smiled; watching Mark talk to Amber as it reminded her of the days when her own children were younger and when her husband always played with them and spoke in a refined sort of gibberish.

"Those days of old...." Laney thought to herself before looking to see if Gaspard returned.

Amber threw her hands in the air, she wanted him to pick her up.

Lucian smiled as he brought her in closer, "I love you too Katja." he said quietly, "And I'm glad you enjoyed last night as much as I did." He kissed her on the forehead.

Gaspard returned to the bar after a while to see Laney talking to some of the other guests which made him smile since she had a reputation for being an outgoing socialite with many friends including members of her childhood photography club who she met with to reminisce about their memories; some of them still had pictures they had taken from their childhoods of mountains and sunsets as well as men saluting the statue of Emperor Gaspard I that stood prominently in Carcasonne. Gaspard took his seat at the bar again and smiled at Laney; speaking to her briefly in the Myakkan language which sounded quite nice to listen to. Gaspard greeted them with a smile. "I am Emperor Gaspard XIX of Myakka; the husband of Empress Laney. A pleasure to meet you all indeed."

Gaspard smiled again at his beloved wife before looking at the other guests; hoping that he could make more friends instead of having the usual Myakkan nobles and aristocrats who surrounded him often. He was hoping for some worldly friends.
