Well, the Western Sahara (the "country" below me) is a disputed land. However, in real life, Morocco controls most of it and most of the population.

I plan too. I'll sometimes add in the odd IC post to say rebels from Polisario have bombed places, or that Polisario is trying to get back it's lands diplomatically etc. like they do now, plus may start an Operation in the future to take the rest of the Sahara and then someone else can RP resistance. Though, it's pretty worthless.

I haven't been on NS for about a month, and I decided that i'd like to get back into the scheme of things with this Earth. Now, I noticed that not only is Taiwan (Republic of China) not claimed, but it isn't even numbered on the map - what's up with that? My post count is minimal, but if it's okay with you guys, could I go ahead and claim Taiwan? If not, it's cool, I can claim something else, but getting that little island would really make my day. :D

It is pretty polite and couteous compared to him nationalizing the factory and port facility I began to make in his country. I am doing one of two things. Wither I am taking the things back, or I am going to bomb them with so much ordinance that the only think he will be able to use the metal for is would be to fill maraccas for tourists.

Bull_horns_rule, I hope you're aware of that $70 million is almost 16% of your total GDP? With that in mind $70 million is a huge sum for your country.

And then you have bought the production rights for the Mig-21 for another $50 million. The total for this two deals is $120 million, a very, VERY large sum for your country - more than 27% of your total GDP! It's easy to say that you don't have the money for these two deals. Also, remember that you cannot buy new equipment for 100% of your military spending - it cost a lot of money to keep things running also.



And as your military budget is 14% of your GDP you have to RP drawbacks according to the rules (you must do that if your annual military budget exceeds 7% which is considered a maximum without major drawbacks in other places).

Anyways, the Comoros have an army of maybe 2,000 people, plus a 500 man police force and 500 man defense force. They have French Equipment and are French trained, which means no Abrams for him. I don't even think they have Leclercs or anything like that either.

Yes U.S. Army..I leave for basic in August..but im doing a pre-basic training thing so I'll be in better shape and know some of the basic stuff..then after basic I go to AIT...and hopefully I pass everything and I'll be going to airborne training..

Well, taking the Leaders of the Western world in to account getting close enough to fire a single would be relatively simple.

The accuracy of the AK-47 has more to do with the shooter then the rifle. Being accurate for a 300m point kill for most half assed trained shooters (Effective Range not Maximum Killing Range). On the battle field most AKs encountered will actually be AKMs not AK-47s but that is neither here nor there as both fire the 7.62 x 39 .



I agree 56 shots at all are out of the question unless we are talking about an assault team on a suicide mission. In that case 56 rounds on target could be delivered in about 4 seconds.

The above scenario isnt absurd at all, most Western leaders are exposed horribly and have very "Wishful" thinking security.

The American President being perhaps the most vulnerable leader of a modern nation...if the would be assassin wasnt worried about death.

I can afford a carrier because I can't find any statistics on the equipment that the Phillipines or Vietnam has. I gave up on that a while ago. Two, I am honestly just going to disband my army entirely and become a trading nation with a navy on par with the West. I know plenty of equipment that Vietnam has. The have PT-76 Amphibious Tanks, Mil Mi-8's, MiG-21's, MiG-17's, MiG-25's, ZSU SPAAGs, AKM's, AK-74's, SVD's, SA-7's, BMP-1's, and plenty of other things. The Phillipines uses mostly older American tanks, but I know they do have Caddilac-Gage Stingray's.

Israel has always made their own ammuniton. They will just make a different type now as well. Also, It's not the Mk. 4. It is a whole new beast. The turret is bigger to accommodate the gun, the rocket pods. It is not a Mk 4 with a bigger gun and more armour stuck on...

Now that I think about it, how are you fitting a 2000 Hp engine in the Merkava? You're adding 500HP to a Tank who used to have 1500 HP. The engine is going to have to be bigger, which means a bigger hull.

Also, those rocket pods are going to be very sweet targets for Infantry Men with Anti-Materiel Rifles. One .50 Cal AP Round through one of those and the men in the turret are going to be having a really bad day.

So, you're looking at a redesigned turret, redesigned hull.... somehow I doubt that's going to take a few months.

In order to carry a decent number of rounds you'd almost certainly have to separate the powder charge from the round which means a longer reload, and you'd still have very limited ammunition.

The 145mm is pretty close to a big howitzer round. Think about that.

They are loaded into the revolver when it spins after discharging a round. It's not a difficult concept to grasp, really.

Now you have two autoloading systems taking up lots of space in the turret. Besides, a revolver-type system with as many rounds as your say is going to make your turret really tall and heavy which means a slower traverse speed and a higher center of gravity. Where are you going to put the crew and the rest of the ammo storage to have it done safely? Think about how cramped this turret will be despite the fact it will also be very tall.

A big turret like this is just asking to get hit.

I'm not sure a 145mm gun even like this would have much of a performance advantage over a 120mm gun in an anti-tank role, especially considering the added weight.

Sure, you might stow some ammo there, but most of the stuff added is going to be relating to the gun and autoloading system(e.g. the turret). Besides, ammo there can't be used by the autoloader.

It died because of inactivity from the moderator's part and general things look bad point of view. There were people leaving for different reasons and eventually it just was one side versus nobody. I always notice that whoever controls the first post controls the flow of gameplay and how the Rp will do.

The "clunkers" wouldn't be half full of sand if they arent in the middle east. I plan on using this as a tank/artillery hybrid so I don't have to commit as many troops when my allies ask for help. That way I can keep my normal Merkavas back in my homeland, along with my artillery.

Hey, is that a mention towards me? lol. I hardly plan on using the Merkava "Rhino" anyways. I plan on making a limited number, and even then using them only as a tank/artillery hybrid so I don't have to commit as many troops when my allies ask for help. And they do have drawbacks. Like Granate said, a 50 cal round to the rocket pod and it's bye bye tank. Also, I don't expect them to fire at the same rate as my normal Merkevas, which everyone seemed to think I did. I don't, however, think that they would be 4x slower.

Also, I don't mind you developing something like this, but it needs to take more time. The only reason mine will work is beause it will be a ffew months before the prototypes arrive, and even they will be using numerous parts, both from Merkavas and other common Israeli vehicles.

Now, if you want to rush production and put some of your massive unemployed workforce to work, I could see you taking less time, however, I think that 7 months isn't logical.

You've built one too quickly. Considering this earth goes 1 month for every day and this earth is barely maybe two weeks old. They take years to build, many of earlier ones took 8 Years to build, while the last three have taken less then 7. Hell the George H. W. Bush is scheduled to be commisioned in 2009, thats 6 years after it began. Depending on what subclass it is, it could really dictate how long it'll take.

Considering I started developing some stuff when we were still at 1 rl day = 1 ns year (or so everyone said...) but even if not, just say I have 7 months done, would it be okay if I started to post up specs of the carrier/tank/fighter in the next couple of days? I understand that I can start producing it in about 2 weeks (and from then on, wait a couple ns years) before I can get it?

Still, considering Japan has an excellent way of producing things, maybe faster?

Development can take years, especially for Carriers. Fighters can also take years because one minute little flaw can destroy everything. Tanks, really don't take that long. It's the testing that takes long.

I still don't see why you need a new Tank. The Type 90 is only 17 years old. Hell the Leopard 2 and Abrams are older then that.

So, first it started with some verbal exchanges between me vs. Granate, Honako and H-Town. Then More stuff happened that wasn't too important, then I took over Saipan and Tinian and renamed it the COSAT as a sly way to get into the UN since the Socilists wouldn't let a corporation join. Then, more shouting between the socialists and me, then BHR nationalized my assets and equipment in his nation and I threatened to turn his archipelago into an ordinance testing ground so he backed down. Then he sunk into a quick civil war, and people reacted. I opened up a fake refinery in Kampfers where he and I are developing unconventional weapons, and now Kampfers and Wanderjar are invading Syria with my naval assistance. The Pact of Gold formed and so did GAN, this neutral alliance of sorts. I am making a secretive space station that I'm not willing to say much more about and I am also developing a line of conventional MIRVs that I started testing in the Pacific. That's pretty much it.
