Nomi emerged from the bathroom dressed her uniform and boots, her hair still slightly wet.

as she fiddled round with it putting it up into a bun and using two hair sticks to keep it in place she said "it'll be good to be on the surface again and to meet our future neighbours"

Samuel smiled "Ill have some plots set up but I do have one rule that i wish all colonists to follow. Do not go outside the walls of the base because i cannot guarantee your safety outside the walls, we are still fighting a war."

Captain Cort's of the The Explorer II turned to his second in command and ordered him to have the fleet start moving out to the new coordinates of the unknown planet in this system other then the Unity planet. Followed by four other heavy battleships, two heavy carriers and three troop transportships, the flag ship led the way.

a woman in her late twenties appeared and stepped of the platform. the third officer Commander Sakura was there to greet her.

they took a turbo lift to the bridge so her and Ari could catch up on old times. Keiko also had a datapad with coded information for her opposite number.

"i'll contact the ship and see what our tactical officer makes of these" she says pointing her scanner at the figures in the distance and taking a piece of video footage.

she takes off her comm badge and attached it to the scanner.

touching the activation plate she says "this is Commander Onazuka. tactical, look at this footage and tell me what they are and if theres anything similiar to this in our databanks"

the transmission was sent and Nomi waited for the reply.

it was the orders she expected. the Kagemon would be based at Unity for the foreseeable future but the Tenchi would be there as well. on top of that Ari was surprised to find out that she was being promoted to vice admiral since more ships would be stationed in Unity over time.

"congratulations Samurai-Vice Admiral" Koiko tells her.

Samuel sat up the side of his face was bright red, luckily the beam only gave him first degree burns. He had a wild look in his eyes.

"Nomi, I am really pissed," He said as he stood up.

The men nodded and laid wate to the area. They knew they wouldn't do anything to them but they would at least take that attention away from the plasma cannon.

Suddenly a bright blue beam laser out and struck one of the men in the shoulder and his arm fell to the ground.

Nomi left her secure area to check the injured man. she crawled over to where he was and although she was no doctor she knew he needed help on the Kagemon.

"Emergency medical beamup. code Onazuka alpha four." she says into her badge and the injured man is transported detacted arm and all.

He inspected the wound and looked at Dr. Abe "The nerves are two damaged to reattach the arm, But prosthetics we can do."

He nodded and the two medics opened the case revealing set of Surgical equipment and a metal prosthetic arm.

William looked at Alyssa and smiled "Fredrick is... well if he thinks his freands need him he will be there. If i had some clothes instead of this I would have went," he said as he motioned to the medical gown.

They began the slow process of un packing all of the equipment and taking special precaution for the metal arm.

Captain Rotas paced the bridge of the ship, Rodanna. He was nervous that the Council would order him to resolve this "mission" with helping the Allies. He was even more nervous that they would not send more supplies and renforcements either and send them to help Captain Corts on the other planet that was found in the system. He would ratehr finish up one mission before starting on another one, that just the way he runs his command. He was tired of the old Council members pushing around orders of the military. At one time the military did its own decisions on military matters, but with the decision of Treaty of Tears, that has changed. He signed and asked his Lt. if Commander Dorne has returned any of his messages yet. Which he hadnt yet.

At the far end of the system Captain Corts had his ships halt at about half a jump from the new planet.

"Any readings from the planet on what life forms we can pick up? Any technology that we can pick up too?" asked Corts.

"Sir, we are picking up some high technological disturbance of some sort, more like chatter on communications lines. Also picking up high levels of radiation ont he planets surface too in certain spots," reported the enviromental/science officer.

"Hmmm like a attack on the planet happened?" asked Corts?

"Yes sir, and very recent too. Oh sir i am picking up a massive chatter of signals coming from the planet too in an unknown language. Now decoding the language sir."

Jacob smiled and lead Ari into the elevator, they went down several levels to the airlock.

The airlock was a flurry of activity, men horridly unloading creates and some were carrying a strange new weapon.

"Since this mission is vital to the future of Neoma our Grand ruler had decided that we should receive a shipment of new weaponry. The weaponry itself is crazy, it uses Bio-etheric energy created from single celled organisms."

He took one of the new rifles from an open crate and showed Ari "The Incendia Telum".

Jacob placed the energy cartrage in the rifle and took aim.

He pulled the trigger and a bright orange/red blob of energy lashed out and flew across the room in about a quarter of a second and slammed into the sand pile.

The sand exploded in a flash, leaving a large glass slab where the round struck.

"The energy from angry singles celled organisms is crazy," Jacob said as he offered it to Ari

"Want to try it?" He asked

Ari nodded and shouldered the gun.

Nomi relaxed further returning the kiss.

"if you want i'll get a tent and some camping gear sent down from the Kagemon and we can stay on the surface for a while" she suggests.

she hits her comm badge and one of the winged shuttles comes down about 10 minutes later with a 4 man tent, ration packs, a mini stove and the usual camping equipment. two thick sleeping bags and a small bag of Nomi's clothes and essentials were also sent as well.

Taking the tent she puts it down near the elders shelter.

Nomi replied "darling once the poles are in it is pettty automatic" and procedes to open up the bag and get out the inner dome and 4 fibreglass poles.

before long she's the poles in the tent and locking them into position.

Nomi said "it will be until we're needed back on the ship and I'm still officially on medical leave as well"

Jacob smiled and reached over and touched a few buttons and within 15 minutes a man came in wearing a white chefs outfit. He was pushing a food cart with four plates, two held identical looking wumpas steaks and the other two had the Del'hoi mushrooms.

The chef set the plates down and bowed his head before leaving.

Jacob took his Del'hoi mushrooms and layered them over his steak.

Fredrick looked down into his drink "Not all of them, but some of us suffer from what our priests call the Warriors cry. I guess threw our existence we've evolved a little more... barbaric."

He sipped his drink and smiled "For instance what is the usual penalty for a adult man rapping an adult female?"

"darling maternity leave won't happen until i've 10 weeks left to go" Nomi says smiling as she takes two camping chairs and two ration packs out of the tent.

Jacob rolled his eyes and held his hand out. The crewman gave him the papers and a pen and Jacob signed it.

The crewman took the form and bowed his head "Sorry," He said before walking out.

"Now, where were we?" He said as his blue eyes settled on Aris.

"Attention, Sever thunder storm approaching."

Samuel smiled at Nomi before walking up to the leader of the colonists.

"I'm going to set you up inside the armory until the storm passes." He said politely.

the old matriarch simply replied "Marshall, these shelters can withstand a thunder storm but we will see out the storm inside the base for now"

she looks ate the people with her and says something in Kirisuban and they close up the shelters for now.

"we're ready" she adds.

the cluster of Kirisuban civilians followed Samuel, Nomi helping the little children along to safety

"we're meant for each other" Koiko says "thats all there is to it. once you're ready for bed i'll tuck you in and you can get the rest I promised Fujiko"

"its Fujiko and some people on this ship use it" Dr Abe replies with a slight smile on her face.

Alyssa gently pokes William and says "you'll have to since you're on medical leave and not even Admiral Calvert can overide her. Now go to bed or do i have to give you a hypospray?"

she can't help laughing even although she trying to be serious

Lt. Geoffery and Commander Dorne moved to get his troops to safety/shelter of the storm. He had them set up trenched shelters made from strong metal frames and sandbags, tactics they have used on storm entrenched places on their home world. Plus many of the officers went into the landed shuttle crafts and holed up in ther keepingthe senors up and running for the premeter(sp) of the base, making sure they dont get sneak attacks from the creatures or the robots.

The rain started to fall just as the drop ships started to unload there cargo.

Samuel touched Nomis face "No need for you to get wet,"

"I've been saving this bottle for a long time," He said softly as he turned to her.

"It was suppose to be for my wifes 5th aniversory... She died in an car accident ten years ago last month."

He looked at her with a smile even though his eyes were sad before he gathered two small glasses and set them on the table.

"Four hundered years old, When this bottle was filled Neoma was still trying to get off of the earth,"

Nomi entered the armoury and made sure that everyone was there before sitting beside a pair of small children.

the boy and girl were both talkative and kept Nomi busy while their adopted parents got some sleep.

"You showed up at just the right time, 2 or 3 more years and this would have turned into liquid crap,"

A bolt of lightning struck down on one of the power wires, the wires fell onto the moist soil inside the base. The lights flickered for a second before going out.

Samuel started to bark orders as some of his men had to scramble to get out of the way of the live wire that was thrashing about.

"Get the power back on!," He bellowed at the repair teams as they scrambled about.

The wind picked up in gusts that almost made some of the men fall off the wall.

He walked into the command bay and went over to a Kirisuban that was operating the motion trackers.

"Anything out there?" He asked her

Koiko knew she didn't need the hypo now and just wearing a vest and briefs got into bed as well.

Samuel walked back to the tent and grabbed a dry set of civilian clothing, He was going to be off duty for the day. He still hadn't decided who was going to be the big dog of the Neoman ground forces. It was either going to be Fredrick or William but if he chose one the other would be hurt.

He walked back into the armory using a side door and walking into a back room. He changed quickly and entered the main room that the colonists and his wife was in.

The Earabians stepped out of their bunkers as the storm let up and headed toward the wall too with their allies.

Commander Dorne walked up to the supply and communications bunker and stepped threw the doorway.

"Well our storm is gone Lt." He commented.

"Well i am so glad, now we can repair any damage and get back to finding out how to remove the creatures from this planet and make this a stable planet for our allies," said Geoffery.

A tiny blip appeared over the planet in space. It was of course, a small, very out-dated fighter craft. It didn't have landing gear, but rather a helicopter style skid. It also oddly enough, bore a propeller on the nose that didn't seem to be working.

It was patheticly armed with an empty rocket pod under one wing and a 30mm cannon alongside the nose. The dark-tinted cockpit kept the curious from looking inside as the nose slowly turned towards the planet below. The engines sputtered, backfired, then began to putter the old little interceptor down to the planet.

Jacob smiled at the Lt. "Do you know where Ari is? Keith here would like to meet her,"

"I've just heard that the shuttle will be docking in a few minutes" she added as a silver winged shuttle approached the ship. It could be clearly seen from the windows in the shuttle bay as it approached.

Nomi got on a sports bra, a pair of long shorts and a baggy tee shirt finally attaching her comm badge and slipping into a pair of sandals.

"Okay, These leavers are the throttle sticks, one controling the right engine the other controling the left. Push them both forward and the engines with produce forward thrust and back to revearse the thrust. the handels themselves you tilt up and engines will tilt upwards and down to obviously point the engines down."

Samuel went on a quick overlay of all the flight components.

"Now, if we have too." He motioned to a brightly collerd yellow rip cord in betweem his legs.


"This is the eject, pretty basic. Pull the cord and hang on."

Dab lashed out a Keith first. Keith flew up at an angle and hit the wall. The two Van Guard brought up there weapons and opened fire. The bullets ricocheted off his protective shield and bounced around the room one of them shredding into Jacobs shoulder.

Dab howled in anger and blood erupted from the Van guards ears. They winced in pain and still pumped round at Dab before dab flung them against the walls knocking them unconscious.

Jacob was unconscious and laying on the floor. Dab hovered over him and touched him softly on the cheek.

she looked round quickly and seen Jacob on the floor and hit her comm badge.

"Medical emergency in the brig. I need two medics now!" she said before looking Jacob over herself. She had some first aid training and seen the wound wasn't as bad as it looked but the slug would have to be extracted.

She ran over to the wall and got the first aid kit running the medical scanner and applying a field dressing until the nurses got there.

"Dab can you keep holding the pressure on the wound until help gets here?" she asked him before turning her attention to the others. kicking their guns away she ran the scanner over all off them. They would be fine but would wake up with quite a headache.

Keiths eyes shot open and he quickly got to his feet. He drew his sword and charged Dab. Dab saw him at the last moment and with a burst of phycic energy he slammed Keith against the wall again and again untill blood started to pour from his nose and mouth.

Dabs eyes changed and it looked like pure rage. He lifted Keith once more and slammed against the ceiling before letting him fall to the ground.

"Dab not mean... Dab... Jacob...," He panicked voice broke threw Aris mind

the guard who was there was covering the Procurator and his guards with his plasma rifle and he would get stunned if he tried to get up.

Alyssa arrived and Ari took of her jacket rolling it up so Jacob would have a pillow. Alyssa and Mikiko worked fast and Mikiko gave Jacob a shot of stimulant so he could be awake before the shock kicked in.

Alyssa then moved onto Keith scanning him for any further damage.

the guard who was there was covering the Procurator and his guards with his plasma rifle and he would get stunned if he tried to get up.

Alyssa arrived and Ari took of her jacket rolling it up so Jacob would have a pillow. Alyssa and Mikiko worked fast and Mikiko gave Jacob a shot of stimulant so he could be awake before the shock kicked in.

Alyssa then moved onto Keith scanning him for any further damage.

Fredrick found himself in the gym after the brig situation cooled down, He was slightly dissatisfied with the free weights, but the people inboard were more of a space fairing then the down and dirty grunt he was.

He scrounged up a few weights from the other systems and did bench presses at 300 lbs. Some other people were in the gym and he had to represent all of the Neoman grunts.

He thanked the women again before heading to Koikos quarters to take a shower.

Samuel smiled at her "Your lucky," He swam with her for a bit before he stopped suddenly and stood up in the waist high water his eyes scanning the trees. His instincts told him that they were being watched

"Somebody's out there," he said quietly

"Well i am glad it is under control. Hoepfully no one was seriously injured. My main concern is that we make sure Dab is comfortable and ready to help us in eliminating the threat on the planet. I now have the resources to help fully." said Rotas.

He didn't even see his attackers when they pounced on him. He fought valiantly at his un known foes but he was out numbered.

A few minuter later a message went to Aris ship. "Dr. Greener has requested and Dr. Abe to come to the medical bay on the Juggernaut ASAP due to a medical emergency,"

The crewmen showed her to the medical bay, Inside Dr. Greener and a score of medics could be seen. He was wearing his white coat that now was painted in blood. He was hovering over a young man with two defibrillator pads.

"Clear" He said And delivered a electrical shock to the man on the bed. He was still flat lining.

The man on the bed was Fredrick, from head to tow he had deep lacerations and stabbing wounds. His blood flowing off the table and onto the floor.

The razormain starred at Samuel, its cold black eyes meeting with his. He snarled and drooled as it lined Samuel up.

Samuel held the pistol in one hand and his combat knife in the other. Suddenly it charged over the water and lept for Samuel. He sidestepped and fired the pistol point blank into its side.

It hit the ground and slid still on its feet. The Razormain had a protective coat of flexible bones that protected it from harm. You had to be close, so close that you could easily be stabbed by it poisons barbed tail or lacerated but the main of quills that gave the razormain its name.

Samuel licked his lips. He could feel the heat from the drop ships engines on his back. Nomi was safe and thats all he cared about.

she looked quickly and found an APBR, made sure it was loaded and ran back with her slug thrower, the scanner and the motion detector.

Samuel was shocked that Nomi hadn't left. The Razormain turned and faced her. Its main of quills clicking together in a sound that sounded like the rattlesnakes back on earth.

It turned and starred at Nomi sizing the women up for its next attack. Suddenly the boom of Samuels pistol broke there eye contact and a small crater embedded itself in it forehead.

Its howled and clawed at the crater like it was actually hurt. "Get away from my wife," The razormain charged him now.

It lept right at his head. Samuel ducked and as hit flew passed him. He man up with the knife into the Razormains belly the blade hitting in between the bone plates and breaking the blade at the handle.

It fell limp on the ground, It tried to get up but couldn't. It let out a long howl full of sorrow.

A few tense seconds passed but Fredrick's heart began to start slowly.
Dr. Greener set down the pads and picked up his suture kit. As did the other medics. "They didn't go for any internal organs, They wanted him to bleed out, to suffer." He said to Fujiko as he began the slow and methodical process of closing all of his wounds.

"Well we have a mission. We are to land and find a secure location on the planet. I will be sending you down with a contingent of heavy troops to secure an area that is large as a airball field(same as a football field). How are we on the landing procedures?" He asked.

He showed Nomi a small vial with a nozzle on top. He removed the bandage on his shoulder and shook the vial. He placed the nozzle at the beginning of the cut and traced it down to the end. A small caulk like substance rose from his skin and Samuel gritted his teeth softy.

Samuel expertly took the Drop ship higher into the stratosphere.

Samuel pushed the throttles forward and took up a slot in the massive drop. He followed them in and found a nice clearing to land on.

He opened the back hatch and walked out. The men coming out of the drop ships weren't Jacob's. They were clad in armor like the Mark 6s but it was leaner and on each the them there was a long pole that curved near the top.

"What the hell?" Samuel said
