New Jensen and Pepingen have been beautifull colonys, the land named Vlaanderen has been expanding rapidly!
With now 2000 Camewottian soldiers in place, there are now over 3000 colonists!
The bay named Port Kangsee has been a beautifull place for Camewottian Battleships to make a quick stop, together with the Camewottian base in Neo Praetonia!

The green part is the jungle, the infantry is daily patrolling around it to make sure we dont get attacked, the peace of sea going inwards the land is where we made our port on the end.
I dont see why I was not added on the map, I had stated 10 pages before I made that land.

By now the civilian part of the Colony was complete. All they had to do was spread out the Miltary machine, which would be difficult, they've expanded and they had to protect borders. An airfield was also in contruction, and the port was already busy with activity. Airplanes would be coming for air defense, and the Colony would be able to build it's own defense fleet. It was all synchronized.

Meanwhile in the Jungle:

A 10 man patrol, each armed with a G36 and a Colt .45 was in the jungle, the spotted the foreign soldiers and decided to hide. The Seargent, led the men to hide. They each pointed their weapons at the soldiers, finally the Seargent yelled.

Freeze! You are surrounded, who is your Colony?

The sergeant gritted his teeth for a moment,thinking just for a split second.He knew they could fight them on equal grounds.They had 5 men with Ak-47s,and they were dangerous when in close distance.The snipers wouldn´t work quite well though...and there were the missionaries to protect.Besides,if this was their territory,they weren´t meant to be there.

Some soldiers started to kick the weapons away, others started arresting some soldiers. The Seargent looked at the leader. Others were looking at the missionaries with confusion.

The Corporal, with his British accent, started calling his radio, the message went out all over the Colony.

An RCH-1 was hastily launched, only having a medic and two pilots. The rest was needed for the men, of course they could fit, maybe not comfortably, but they could fit.

The Seargent took out his cantine and extended to the other Seargent.

One of the observers watched the ship float in from space, to gain it's wing and cease the aimless plummeting of a large rock, to land far to the west.

Down the wire went the report.

Up came the reply.
"Not our problem."

The sergeant shakes his head.Was what he did a wise decision?Perhaps...Perhaps not.Benettone could take this as a declaration of war by the Rosians...But if they fired at them,it would be a war nonetheless...At least he saved some of his men.

The sergeant and his men ran inside the plane,keeping their heads down,as they feel like they have betrayed Benettone.They sat down,or stood,depending on what they were told to do with gloom and silent despair.The fact that they were told what would happen did not comfort them,as in their mentalities,foreigners were always out to get you,and what they were just told were a pack of lies.

It took off, hovering out of the jungle and towards the City of New Roska. The medic started talking to the soldiers in his Germanic accent. Does anybody have injuries? The Rosian soldiers were looking out the windows, sighing.

The Sergeant started talking to the Benettonen Sergeant.

You will be given fresh clothes, interrogated, and then you will sleep in our barracks. We will then transport you back to the Colony.

The Rosian soldiers gripped their HK G36s tight, they loved the new guns, and it's an improvement from the AKs...

The Colonization drop ship landed safely on the surface.

"Sir we have landed safely on Manium and everything looks fine at the moment" The New Governor of ZEC (Zaktar Earth Colony), Yltar Omitar Reported to the SCS Zarium that was in orbit.

The blue thing down

A red carpet ran from a makeshift helipad to a waiting Limousine. On either side of the red carpet were three columns of guards dressed in ceremonial uniform and standing to attention.

To the side a band stood ready to begin playing the Water Coolian nation anthem. Standing next to the band where a small party of officials, including Lord Admiral Shinjin, Commander Gina, and Lord Peterson Helenburg, head of the imperial Civil planners. They where both dressed in formal uniform, and stood at attention awaiting the arrival of the VIP.

In the near distance the beginnings of a city could be seen. Even in the now twilight hours construction proceeded. The makeshift tent city that had been erected to hold the settlers was showing signs of gross inadequacy and it was decided a more suitable city would be created to advance the colonisation of the area. Looking past the city the glorious steel blue sea could be seen. It provided a lovely backdrop for the now setting sun that cast its dying rays across the water, in a magnificent light show.

The magnificent sun sets and rises, the plethora of dolphins along the cost, and the perfect weather had been taken as a sign that the Water Cooler was blessing the procedures. Consequently the people where less inclined to complain about that many hardships they where enduring, such as lack of water, lack of housing, lack of medicine, and food, plus a plethora of other small problems). Of course the murders hadn’t helped things either. All though it was a closely kept secret, news of random murders of Settlers was starting to spread, baffling the Command of the Military, and head of security, Command Gina. He knew if he didn’t soon find out the cause of the problems, he would most likely be killed, although by his own men, in an ironic sort of twist. Sighing softly he checked his watch. Noting the time he look towards the bay, where a floating armada of Coolian navy ships where floating.

His prayers where soon answered when he heard the familiar buzz of a Helicopter approach.

Nodding to his Captain, he stood up straight and adjusted his hat.

“Attention! Pre-sent arms! Prepare for VIP guest!” Barked the Captain.

As the helicopter touched down, the man snapped to a salute, and the band started vigorously playing “Rule Water Cooler”. As the door opened the men burst onto song

“Rule Water Cooler, Water Cooler rules the world…”

The figure, dressed in a business suit, with a large metal ornament over his left breast ((Just like Janet Jackson – harhar. Sorry, I will stop now)), got out of the helicopter and saluted the men, he then joined in the song, singing in a resonant basso profundo He was a man of about 49, and he had a stern dignified look about him.

After the stirring singing of the national anthem he marched down the column of men smartly, flanked by his two aide-de-camps. At the end of the columns he saluted the three men, and bowed to them.

“Lord Ashen, we are most honoured to see you here at New Water Cooler. What do we owe the pleasure to?” Asked Gina obsequiously, as protocol demanded.

“Ah, Gina. Nice to see you are still – alive.” He said, in a not very sincere way at all. “I was half worried that you yourself might have been murdered.” Noting the shocked look on the faces of the three men “Oh please – you seriously think that your attempts at secrecy have stopped news from reaching us? For shame.” Pausing he looked out at the now fading sun set. “At any rate I have a message to deliver to you Command Gina.”

He handed him a sealed document. Opening it he quickly read it turning white. Closing his eyes he wobbled as if he was going to burst into tears. Regaining his composure slightly he opened his eyes.

“I see. I would like to congratulate you on your promotion Lord Viceroy Gina. Regarding the other matter, I would like to ask permission to take my own life.”

“Yes you would, wouldn’t you? Sadly that can’t be allowed. Depressed as the Emperor is with your inability to solve the problem, he still feels you can be of need. Consequently Captain Wish shall be promoted to share the Commandership of our forces here. When the problem is solved, depending on your work, I shall review your request to take your own life. Now take me to the commander centre. I wish to be bought up to speed.”

Nodding the men got in the car.

The next day, additional ships of Imperial Engineers, architects, builders, agriculture experts, Civil Planners, Soldiers, etc left from various ports from the Water Cooler. The 3rd self Costal defence fleet coupled with the 34th, 204th, 95th, and 23rd battalions left to bolster the colony’s defences. Modified super tankers containing supplies of all type where leaving and arriving at an almost continuous bases, and cargo planes carrying more import equipment where making similarly frequent flights. The population, thus far of the colony is 11 thousand civilians, and one thousand military personal. Meanwhile at home, the Emperor has announced a special law increasing taxes by 5 % in order to help pay for the new colony. No decision has been made on a name for the colony, and also no name has been decided for the founding city, although a name beginning with ‘Port’ is likely at this stage.

Hmm, it's a nice first edition; and I for one appreciate your effort, but I think some changes need to be made to make it more constant with the original by RomeW; the idea is to improve, not modify.

The last two months had been spent in preparations, but finally, the first settlement fleet was ready to set sail. It was being launched from the Stuffian city of Hasfaden, bound for the new continant within the next few weeks, assuming no difficulty, colonies will be set up upon the southern shore, airbases will have been built in strategic locations in the mountains, and construction will begin on the City of New Hasfaden, what will be the capital of the New Provence of Stuffythings, cradled in what has been dubbed the Koen Mountain Range by the settlers.

Raginsheep geologists, after careful consideration, have determined that the regional landmass is especailly rich in natural resources and the government has determined to colonise part of the continent.

OCC: The red areas are the areas that I claim immediately while the grey areas are the areas I plan on eventually.

OOC: Woah map wrangling! What happened to my Colony just below the mountain range on the western shore of the big lake? It was the only uncontested move I made on that big post.

From the borders of what was considered Morathania's claim settlers came south and east. Vandalia now had over 165,000 people in the colony. People were expanding and building new cities outside of the claim. Airports were completed in St. George, Somerset, and Concordia. Thousands pured in every day looking for a new home in this mighty continent. A message was sent from President of the Federation Colin Wixted to Col. Menzies, governor of Vandalia. It was only two sentences long.

I have just one order for you to follow. Expand Vandalia as much as you can.


OOC: I would like more territory added to Vandalia seeing as their is no one else on the Northwestern corner except myself. I don't see why we can't have huge countries. Why can't myself and Neo Praetonia expand so that we take up large areas of the continent? We have no one around us and no one has yet claimed that portion of the land. I want my original unscaled back claim please and also let all the territories grow as large as they want. So what if we have countries the size of Europe or Africa. This continent is huge and if we have any more people who come to colonize, which I don't think their are going to be many, their will be land enough for them to build a country at least the size of Texas.

On the Panooly Colony 10 new siege factories have been opened by the governer. The factories will provide new jobs, a boost to the colonial economy and will add to the security of our 2 main islands. A naval yard has also been planned for submarines to tie up and resupply. A dry dock for repairs and construction isn't planned yet, but it won't take long before it becomes reality as well.

Holy Panooly is looking to contact Nycton's colony on the new continent.

Praetonian Expansions

Praetonian forces have now secured the joining landmass between the Southern landmass when Neo Praetonia is located and the rest of Manium. Meanwhile Praetonian forces have expanded the colony itself and are working towards the seperated Praetonian claim.

OOC: Note that I wont update the new Raginsheep map as will start to degrade again.

Imperial Praetonian Shipyards Naval Yard Announced

In responce to a huge number of orders (mainly external) in recent months which have swamped the IPS ship building facilities, IPS has announced the construction of a huge shipyard complex in Neo Praetonia brought on by the cheap land prices and the need for work in the colony.

The new facilities will have space for the construction of 1 'super-dreadnaught', 20 captial ships (battleships and carriers), 40 cruisers, 120 escorts (up to destroyer sized), 20 smaller ships and 20 submarines. The massive complex is expected to take 20 years to complete and will require staff in the hundreds of thousands.

More than 50,000 colonsits and 10,000 soldiers have arrived in MZK. Port Seria has been finished and we have expanded down to the bottom of the peninsula for naval security reasons.

Within a week of the vast number of settlers setting out for the south and the west new towns and military forts were being built. South West of Gloucester Fort Benton was constructed and Caledonia in the deep south was also founded. A new port city was founded on the Gulf of Stevens south of the Lake Arthur [OOC: The Big Lake in my territory]. All this land was immediately added to Vandalia. To the east New Hamilton was established along the north coast 290 Miles east of St. George. 28,000 people came to Vandalia in just one week during the month of November and that number continued until the second week in December.

Red Tide's first colony had reached 100,000 people and was now a fully fledged, bustling city. Red Tides second colony was 60,000 strong commercial farming city. Across Red Tides claim, 8 divisons were patrolling the countryside. Another convoy with 15,000 people were speeding west. They were escorted by a armored division(consisting of T-90SXs, BMPs, and BTRs).

OOC:The T-90SX is basically a larger T-90 tank with better armor than the original and a 135MM ETC cannon.

More and more of the colonists kept landing on the Air Base, about 1,000 a day came, now that the runways was finished, the first 747s and started landing, along with one C-4, all carry colonists, the air base is going to be use to also carry troops to the colny center and then from there they can drive or walk to Youk or Tium Army Bases. The main port ,Ijius now has over 500 colonists coming in a day and 1,000 soldiers coming in a day. Thanks to recent hunting and fishing the citizens have a food slupply to last for a while before the cattle and pultry comes and the farms grow.

I think this sums up the problems with this RP right now (not you individually all of us). Red Tide has one city and only 100,000 people, yet his claim is bigger than Africa. I think we should re-do the map with smaller claims to be honest.

Of course Mr. President I'll do my best job with expansion. I think we've reached a good size Mr. President about the size of Praetonia's claim. Gov. Menzies, still a Col. though for the election weren't for another month and a half, hung up the phone and thought to himself.

"I think I do," said the minister for internal affairs, "we need to send troops out into these new claims with a good amount of Morathanian troops in these newly aquired areas they couldn't cut down our claim."

"Thats a rather good idea but it has just one flaw it would leave the few troops that we have in Vandalia spread out over quite a distance. If that happens then we'll be in deep shit if were attacked I don't want this to be another Jefferson."

"Well," said the defense minister, "speaking of Jefferson we could do what they did their with their Jefferson militia. They were a paramilitary police force were some members could do regular policing like the detectives back in Morathania but the entire militia could also work as a regular military unit. If we do this this way that would take care of a trans-colonial police force and the extra armed forces units we need."

"Yes that sounds like a good idea," said Gov. Col. Menzies, "but to make sure we should also have a company of regulars serve alongside the colonial militia so as to project the Morathania presence even more."

And so this idea was implemented. In the south and in the west army and militia units were set up in stand alone Forts, Fort Benton was one of the first, or in settlements. The Jefferson militia grew to a great size since Vandalians could either go into the army to serve their four years of service or they could go into the Militia. Many chose the militia since it was less dangerous than the regular army which meant they had less of a chance of getting killed.

OOC: We have a policy much like Israel were all men physically capable are in the army from age 18 to age 22. They are usually sent into the reserves but some are put into active frontline duty. Although over 75% of the Morathanian military is full-time and professional not the young 4 year reservists.

*Yasi Muham Algi jumped into his Little Bird Recon Chopper to scout out Unity Bay(the one MZK and Neo Praeton share), after only moments of flight he saw something unusual a little tiny island about the size of midway, he plotted the cordinates then later flew back to base*

OOC:I HAVE MORE THAN ONE COLONY! Read my post carefully. It says I have two cities(and those do not include the small towns that are springing up along my road).

IC: A SU-37 pilot patrolling the boarder noticed something. A native village close too the Red Tide/Island of Rose boarder. He registered the find and was given permission too destroy the village. He began too strafe the village with bombs and missiles. The primitive natives ran all about in panick. The pilot mercissely gunned them down with his guns.

ooc: RomeW, you're missing my colony. I should be in the south, to the west of Neo-Praetonia I think, about 100 miles by 100 miles on the southern coast.

OOC: I had taken that into account but it is still too much. I made a tiny dot on the map and that was meant to be the actual size of my colony, then someone blew mine up to be massive. I didnt complain because everyone else had massive ones too. I think it is a little unrealistic, everyone.

OOC: If we want smaller colonies we'll have to restart the RP. I say make the continent smaller no larger than Australia. That way if we have 10 different countries no country could have a nation larger than Texas or France. That would make all the colonies smaller and more manageable. But when the continent is 5 times the size of Eurasia and Africa thats going to be crazy. Your going to have countries the size of Europe or Africa because you have the space to. In the Eropid colonial RP the landmass was the size of the United States and that led to smaller colonies although the smallest was about 60,000 sq. miles thats still alot smaller than any of these. So what I think we should do is restart with a smaller continent no larger than Australia or the United States. That way we would have smaller colonies that could interact with each other.

The first of the AZK ZZ Officers were ariving from the UNK Tiuju(Tie-uw-ya) Transport ship, when they saw a B-1B fly over head folowed by a loud *boom*. One officer asked "Tis that ours?"

The MZK is working on expanding into the entire peninsula to set up another base then use it to bring troops to set a up a port a allow more expansion, so in other words, the 128th Airborne Regiment will be delpoyed from Neo Praeton, fly over Unity bay and land then wait for the Souls(light transport vehicles) to get paradroped then they will scout-out the entire peninsula. Next a construction and engineer team will arrive while the Airborne secure the area and work on the mobile base, then set up a beacon for the Airborne to drop more engineers and workers, then they will begin work on Port David and Fort Ismerl. The mission started 1 hour and 23 minutes ago.

Wow - what an attitude. Ya know, if you are bored in the thread, why don't you post more! A founding of a new colony requires immense amount of work, and as a result immense amount of opportunities to RP, you know, you can also RP peaceful actions as well!

I disagree with your claim that the continent is to big, if anything it's going to allow for greater diversity. I also hope that you still aren’t bitter/upset about your claim being scaled back. Remember as time goes on, you can expand it.

Construction of the new city was well underway. So far the groundwork for the following has been laid:

• 5 Residential complexes
• 1 Primary school
• 1 High school
• 1 fire station
• 1 police station
• 1 Hospital
• 1 Medium Air Port
• 4 factories
• 2 office buildings
• 1 shopping centre

Construction is expected to be finished in two months. The city (name still undecided) is being planned in a concentric circle pattern, with the government and administration buildings in the centre. Also a dock capable of handling the super liners more efficiently has been order to be constructed, however that is expected to take five months.

A military fort has been set up near the border, and listening posts constructed also along the border.

Aerial surveys had been occurring almost every day to assist the cartographers with the massive amounts of data they where now trying to make maps from. Satellite imagery was also being used.

Reports by geologists, seismologists, biologists, botanists, militarists, industry leaders, and civic planners where all being conducted, and expected to be fully completed by the end of the year. Already several Water Coolian Corporations have expressed interest about corporate ventures in the area.

A minor riot over the only food (army nutritional packages) the colonists had been eating was earned by the colonies first execution.

The Colonies first new paper, The Colonial Herald, published its first issue of its first edition. The headline: “Man killed over Wonder Chocolate”

Still no solution to the murders has been found, and last month 10 more people, mostly builders, where murdered as they slept.

The last two months had been spent in preparations, but finally, the first settlement fleet was ready to set sail. It was being launched from the Stuffian city of Hasfaden, bound for the new continant within the next few weeks, assuming no difficulty, colonies will be set up upon the southern shore, airbases will have been built in strategic locations in the mountains, and construction will begin on the City of New Hasfaden, what will be the capital of the New Provence of Stuffythings, cradled in what has been dubbed the Koen Mountain Range by the settlers.

OOC For the record, your appearance will have been relayed to Nycton's Donathatopia colony by Vastivan shore patrol and offshore naval operations units. However, they are going to *do* nothing about you.

Alright, let's put this in perspective:

Vastivan troops have landed a total force of sixteen airborne regiments (eight regular airborne, eight artillery airborne), two mechanized divisions (ones equipment having been delivered by someone else), one artillery regiment,
and a lot of helicopters.

As my troops are all mountain trained, the mountains are live with troops, artillery, SAM emplacements, and anything else to keep people watched and away. You come my way, I can see you LONG before you're a threat. Information about approach will be relayed to those I have pacts with as appropriate.

Once the airfield was done, several wings of planes were emplaced.

The primary airport (near Sisu Arshu) is large enough for cargo planes.

Port Karii, at the western tip of my mountain range, is a harbor. It is also where my shore patrol vessels resupply. A secondary airport is there.

Trada Vitiri is a small trading tent city with few permanent dwellings, and it sits next to the McClellan claim to my east.

Navally, I've shore patrol ships in the gulf near the southern edge of the mountain range which watch to the southern tip of the bump Im on. I've got five fleets of ships in the area - one north of the landmass, one east, one south, one in supporting location further away, and one roaming. This does not include shore patrol.

Colonially, I've got 22,000 people total, mostly scientific types - not including military. About 9,000 of those are "roaving" my area in Humvee caravans doing their research thing.

Another "shipment" of colonial types is coming, but as they are on ships, they are going to take time to arrive en masse. So we'll say later tonight.

OOC: Okay, map re-organization time. I'm just simply making sure each new claim is the allowable size (1225 pixels on the original map), and I'm adding the nations who joined the RP and were in the original list (see my post on the eighth page) and thus should have (if they so desired) territory equal (roughly) to those also on the eighth page list. These new additions (from the eighth page list) are: Bonstock, Raginsheep, Holy Panooly, Bennettone and Camewot. I've also moved Vastiva's colony since I've now figured out where it should be, although I've made some alterations to keep the storylines moving.

Another map point: if you're going to make a new claim (including users wishing to establish a colony), please use the map I drew in Paint to size the claim (so it's legal), after which Holy Panooly can re-process the map. This is simply because I know the scales better on the map that I made than on Holy Panooly's map. If you're unsure how big is the maximum allowable claim, I've included a legend in the bottom-left corner outlining how big they are as a square (35x35) and a rectangle (15x81). It doesn't have to be exact, but close (no more than 5x5 or its equivalent in any shape).

A note on why the initial size was chosen: since modern expeditions can cover a lot more territory than 19th century expeditions could, I wanted to make it so big that not even a modern tech nation could make a sizeable claim in the space of a year. Basically, it's just a way to make the new claim limit sound realistic.

Morathania: I know you're upset that your claims keep getting scaled back, but I made the gain limit so that other users can make gains for themselves and/or other users can join. It's not fair to the other users that, within a day someone claims the whole continent, or half of it. If you can pardon the pun, remember that Rome wasn't built in a day.

The new colony was going well. In the space of five plus months, the Roman Empire had built a sizeable colony in their newly discovered continent. The diverse colony, run by both Rome and the natives of the colony, was running smoothly. With the colony going well, the Roman Governor Giorgious Redomius decided to expand to the unclaimed areas around the moutains, to better fortify the colony. He was able to claim a small strip northwards and to the west of the colony, making the moutain range the colony's western border. More expeditions are planned, with the hopes of colouring the entire moutain range Roman. He had heard reports of other colonies on Manium and would not interfere with their claims should they conflict with Rome's, but he had not made contact with any of them yet.

Something was rotten in the Colony of McClellen...Dr. Fendry was furious over the continued expansion on the continent by the military. Using what connections she has, she was able to get most of the Generals in the Colony replaced. The southern colonies were still under the control of the Defense Ministry, but Dr. Fendry was at long last able to fully bring McClellen Colony itself under her total control.


The process of city building was going much as expected, besides McClellen City, Easen, Westchester, and Middleboch were nearing completion. Exploration of the Mountain, know as Mt. Majestic, was fully underway. Something the early teams found there kept people coming back, but no one would say why.

OOC - about "Jungle Fever" - am not going away, but I note this is a NEW continent. Disease would be a reality we would have to deal with, and as each immune system would be relatively unexposed to such a thing...

The Airmarshal of the new continent had halted expansion lately, but has started it up again. Some motorized troops had been pushing South-West to from Donathatopia. The canal, which was under our control and the only gateway to the Sea of Manium. Premier Donathon liked having this blackmailish type of power. He has donated 10 billion dollars to make the mouth of it the *MOST* fortified area on the whole continent. 25 inch guns, advanced radar, long range Anti-ship, anti-vehicle, anti-air missiles were being set in underground battery's. Hundred's of Thoudands of Mines were being laid all around the North, Northeastern, and Eastern boarders. The beaches were fortified simular to D-day. Obsticles were laid along the beach, mines, sharp traps used to stab and impale the feet, heavy bunkers armed with 20mm MG. 20 Inch Cannon's sat behind the beach, guarded with 20mm Phalanx Automated Anti-Air Cannons. This was to be the fortress that could withstand ANYTHING except nuclear anhilation. No ship or FLEET could penatrate this fortress. 25,000 troops had been shipped in large numbers to total the colony to 50,000. 40 F-97 Interceptor Air Superiority Fighter's are currently being loaded and sent right now by the Super-Carrier Daunteress.

Rome, The Kingdom of Cullenus is looking for expansion. If it be not to much trouble we would like to claim a portion of the southeast portion of the island, south of Vastiva.

In the middle of the night, forty stealth transport planes approached new Praetonian colony sites. These would not be, as with Neo Praetonia, large civlian settlements, but small military ones. They would take sites that had proved to be of vital strategic importance, and garrison them heavily. Within two weeks, barricades and watch posts were errected, and millions of mines had been laid by mine-layer bombers.

Raginsheep's government has announced that its is beginning to ship over 5000 civilian contractors and workers into the new territories to begin drilling for oil. In addition, an additional 30000 reservist into the area bring the total amount of forces in the area to 70000 soldiers, 3 Fighter squadrons and 1 Naval Squadron. Further announcements by the government declare that the entire occupied area is declared a Military Exclusion Zone meaning that an intuder will have exactally 2 minutes to identify themselves and surrender before lethal force is unlashed.

Also 50 Greenpeace protestors are planning to travel to the area to protest against the planned against planned oil and drilling in the newly discovered areas. Howeve, the Rainbow Warrior, which was planning to take the protestors sunk in harbour today after an explosion in the engine room. No person was hurt.

First Mate Roberto stood aboard the oil supertanker Julia. They were travelling to Donathopia, the Nycton colony that had blockaded the channel. However, First Mate Roberto had different plans.

He had been indoctrinated by the terrorist organisation EcoWarriors. He was willing to fight alongside them to free the world from the tyranny of industry. He had heard how the Ragin authorities had destroyed a GreenPeace ship. They had not admitted it of course, but everyone knew it was them. Now they would pay.

The ship immeditaely began to turn. It would take several hours to reach the Raginsheep port.



"We are approaching the port. This is your last chance to have any hope of escape. Use it if you must."

The ship was now unstoppable. Even if the Raginsheep authorities knew what was happeneing they couldnt stop it. Hundreds of thousands of tonnes of ship could not be easily stopped.

Roberto could see the shore now. He could see the port authorities approaching the ship, but he ignored them. Even if they fired at the ship itwas unstoppable now. A coast guard boat moved in front of the supertanker to try to stop it. The behemoth simply rolled over it.

Roberto picked up the megaphone radio link.

"FOR ECOWARRIORS!!! FOR EARTH!!!!!"

The ship slammed into the shore just as Roberto pressed the button, sending two tonnes of C4 and millions of gallons of oil up in flames. The ship broke apart as bits of metal were flung up to 2 miles away. The massive fireball stretched high up into the night sky and fell back to consume the port and nearby ships. Roberto was incinerated in an instant.

OCC: Pretty good.......but do you understand anything about my port docking procedures? All ships that enter my territories, including naval, are stopped and searched 7 miles out to sea. If they refuse, they are shot at by the Navy, not Coast Guard. The Coast Guard is largely unnarmed with the weapons required to take out any ship. The Navy on the other hand is more than capable.

Im sorry I didnt do your checks properly, but to be honest, that thing will keep going. No one will fire at a fully loaded oil tanker, and if you try to board they will blow themselves up. Also note that 7 miles isnt very far for a ship like this. Maybe 15 minutes or so away.

From now on, all tankers will now be stopped 15 miles out to sea and the Coast Guard will take over control of the ship as it enters port. However, a more secret investigation is carried out. The crew records are checked and revealed that a number were on known terrorists watchlists, wanted for ecoterrorism. The watch on other known ecoterrorists is increased.

There is no way you can transport 1,000,000 people by plane. These is no way you could possibly have that many planes. You dont have enough money or enough airfields to launch them from. Even if you did you have to land them somewhere, there are no runways in unclaimed territory.

OOC: Praetonia is right their is no way that you could transport 1,000,000 people the 747-400 holds 545 people. That would mean it would take about 1835 trips using one plane. Now if you used say 200 planes it would still take 9 flights by each of those 200 planes to tranport a million people. and I'm sorry for the bored comment I just ment that so much stuff was OOC that it made that time rather boring. IC: Much development had been going on in Vandalia the population had hit 350,000 by mid December. Col. Menzies retired from the armed services and but in his application for canididacy for Governor, a Conservative Party candidate. In St. George work was 1/3 completed on the permamnent Parliament Houses while the city now held a population of 75,000, Somerset 70,000, Concordia 68,000 and in the south at Caledonia 35,000 people called that home. The whole colony was getting ready for the election next month. Although Expansion had slowed it was still going. The vast distances of the continent ment that it took a long time for colonists to reach where they were going even using cars, trucks or 4X4s. An expedition with 2500 settlers left Kennecot on the 17 of November and left for the area of coast line near New Panooly. The head of the operation was Capt. Michaels a young man in his late 20s. John Resta sat on his chair on the Gulfstream... impatient. He looked at his watch every five minutes, finally shouting with his British accent.

After a few days the fleet arrives at the beaches of this unknown continent.

The colonizers went straight to work unloading the 2 cargo ships and start building a camp. The military used their jeeps and hummers to scout around the land. After a few hours 2 soldiers come back to the general in charged.

"Sir, we located 3 colonies. One lies north from us (thats the green area) and the other 2 lies south from us (thats the orange and yellow area)."

"Well we will just have to hope they are peacefull people. Because we didnt come here to start a war."

During the night most of the camp was finished built.

The Colony Zigma was now a colony of 110,000 people. The other colony(now named Fira) was a vast farming city of 40,000, The third colony was now 30,000 people strong and a major producer of iron, steel, and coal for Tech-Com Corp.. ANOTHER 15,000 newly arrived colonists were heading west escorted by-yes- ANOTHER division. Red Tide wanted too expand until it met Morathania. Then it would expand south.

In response to Red Tide2s drive to the east forces of the Morathanian army including 35,000 Vandalia Militia will begin to drive west until the two forces meet. All territory crossed by these army groups and settlers will be deemed Morathanian territory. This will be the same for Red Tide2. Military units will begin to leave to the east immediately. Govenor Menzies had this to say:

"This land is Morathania's and we must gain enough of it so that we can defend this proud colony. We must not let Red Tide2 come to our present borders we must push west as fast as we can. I say to all the brave fighitng men going on this mission of expansion to push as hard as you can. Gain as much as you can for your homeland and your country. Retake what is ours."

After a few days from the landing on the beaches of the continent. More and more cargo ships where coming with supplys, colonists and soldiers and unloading them and heading back to Greece to load up again. The new area they colonized, which turned into a small city, was called Apollo.

100 M1A2 Abrams tanks started heading south, but still remaining close to the shores they where hoping to reach Neo Praetona to make borders there and start a peace treaty with them. While back at the small city they started making houses and a port for trading by sea and making the cargo ships dock more easily.

After hearing about this new continent, the government of Vistadin has claimed an area in the southwest shore. I am sending 50,000 colonists to the new settlement of Nova Haveno, a sea port with very nice beaches which is going to be the capital of the colony called Nova Vistadin. I might make a map soon.

Vastiva immediately calls Raginsheep to offer humanitarian aid; accepted, two full MASH are on scene in a matter of an hour to see to the wounded, with the more horribly injured taken to the Sisu Arshu Hospital for surgery and life-support.

ALL ships headed for the southern shore are stopped at a range of 20 miles out until the situation is cleared up.

All of a sudden the plane landed at McClellen City International Airport. Gov. Resta and his staff were rushed to the Governor's Mansion in the heart of the city.

While the Colonial Security Command Council has advised me to indefinitely close our boarder to foreign military units, you are more than welcome to send civilian teams into our the area in question to explore, as long as they register with the Colonial Government and take a Civilian Police Officer as an escort." Dr. Fendry says her usual soft tone with a very slight smile.

"The expansion,[i]" Field General Peters begins to explain, [i]"was undertaken, without order, by Major General Winsters. He acted without the knowledge of Dr. Fendry and the Colonial Government. Mj. Gen. Winsters was following direct orders from the Chairman of the Joint High Command Council. Before the Dr. Fendy could even react to the expansion, General Winsters had placed nearly 3 division of hardened combat troops into the area in question.

I should also state that I would like to be left out of military conflicts and/or threats because a) I don't have the time to RP a conflict and b) I'd like to remain peaceful. I'm going to go offline again and I won't return until tommorow, at which point I'll update the official map. Forces continued expanding south, civilians building houses, clearing trees and the like. They planned to meet Romanus Eripodus soon. And the Rosians wanted a clear border, God knows why. OOC: Praetonia, your expansions are being included, but they have been scaled back because they're too big (I've set the rule and stated it a few times- see the bottom left-hand corner to see how large a new claim can be). I've said it before, but this continent is too big to claim half or even a quater within even a year, and I set the rule to be fair to others wishing to expand and/or start a colony for themselves. I do not mean this as a slight against you, but just to be fair to everyone else.

Aide: I've got this month's progress report for you, Prime Minister.

Aide: The other nations have failed to recognise our claim to the ajoining land mass at the top of the colony, automated machinegun pods are however in place. Our expansion efforts are pushing towards the area now.

We currently have a population of 1,242,204 people, 735,392 of whom are in work. Work on the Imperial Praetonian Shipyards' manufacturing complex is proceeding on schedule.

The central Praetonian government has moved a Phalanx Class SSBN into the area as a responce to certain threats picked up on satellite. Our border defences on the Bonstock border are complete. They include fixed and mobile anti-air, anti-tank and artillery positions. On the front line there are concrete trenchs, dugouts and bunkers. In front of that is barbed wire and mines. We expect to be able to hold out indefinately against a force of far superior numbers. Four new forts are complete, they are mainly manned by the Colonial Guard, as is the border.

The colony is now full self-sufficient as far as food is concerned, and we have food significant oil, iron, coal and uranium deposits in the hills. Revenue is up, and the colony is making money.

Aide: Ah, the elections for the Neo Praetonian Minister to the Praetonian Houses of Parliament. Preparations are almost complete. Are you going to run sir?

You're an idiot. First of all, they wouldnt be allowed into my colony, secondly you realise that AIDs isnt fatal? It's causrd by the Human Immune VIrus which targets the immune system. IC:The colonists arrvved at the 4th colony spot. They then began too build the city as the surveyors went forward too claim the land ahead as far as they could. In the meantime a second military base was constructed at the 4th colony, it had an airfield. As soon as it was completed in flew SU-37s, MIG-39s, and H/K-1s recently built by a goverment owned warplane/weapons/war veichle factory. The first military base in the first colony had also been expanded too include a IRBM aboveground platform launcher. Already 10 newly manufactured IRBMs had arrived at the port along with their chemical and biological warheads. The trucks that transported the missiles were on their way too the IRBM platform.

In the hills 75 miles outside Concordia in central Vandalia Mikhail Stanislav, a Russian immigrant, was prospecting for anything, any small find could bring him millions. So he had bought drilling equipment, pick axes, etc. all the equipment he would need to make the find that would make him rich. He was prospecting along the San Juan Ridge a single long spine of hills that cut through this rather flat land. At a spot called Piccolo Springs he began drilling, a test bore nothing more, their may be oil down their. After about an hour and a half of drilling as Mikhail was about to pull the drill bore out of the ground he hit a huge undeground deposit of oil. Mikhail made his way back to the small farming community of Treesdale 15 miles away. He told them in broken English that he had discovered a large amount of underground crude in the San Juan Ridge. News rushed through the colony. Soon Morathania's second largest oil and natural gas company MP&G was doing test bores in the San Juan Ridge. Within three weeks of these test bores MP&G had concluded that their was one of the richest underground deposits in Morathania, if not one of the richest in the world, underneath those small hills. Within weeks Concordia and Treesdale had been hit by a tidal wave of oil workers and construction companies contracted to construct the wells. Soon oil was found in other parts of Vandalia. Thus started the oil boom in Vandalia.

Many miles east of the San Juan Ridge the Morathanian 301st Mecanized Infantry Brigade moved near to the half way point between Red Tide2 and Morathania's claims. After another twenty miles they had reached the half way point and within 30 minutes had met up with their Red Tide2 counterparts. All across the demarcation line as it was called Red Tide2 and Morathanian troops met and set up small camps along what was to be the border.

The Red Tide surveyors cheered when they made contact. They had brought (alot of) Vodka with them when they made contact with Moranthia. They cheered and celebrated... A Tech-Com Corp. representitive arrived with a offer too construct a road in between Red Tides 4th colony(which was the nearest) and Moranthias nearest colony too the border. This could open up limitless trade possibilities between the two colonies. The Tech-Com representive also asked if they could purchase drilling rights too the Vandalia oil field.

The goverment was happy with the contact but not so much as the Moranthian and surveyors were. Oh well time too turn south. Another convoy composing of 20,000 newly arrived colonists and for escort -you guessed it- ANOTHER division for protection. The third colony was well west of the Island of Rose border so they should experience no problems expanding south.

Great celebrations between Morathanian and Red Tide2 troops lasted through the night. In the morning the construction crews began building a road to the small settlement of Davonport from where it would connect with the main road to Gloucester that had been completed by the Army Corps of Engineers. Other towns sprang up in the area by small bands of colonists. Wixtedia, Wildwood, Stanhope, Wilkinshire, Margate were all constructed east of Gloucester to the Red Tide2 border. A new day had dawn for the two colonies.
"I'm sorry but rights for the oil fields must be agreed run through the government of Vandalia and not through us. Your company can get partial rights to a small portion of the oil field if you contact the government in Vandalia and Govenor Menzies in particular. I wouldn't until after the election though since many Morathanians are touchy on the subject of outside corporations coming into the country," said Col. Daniels, head of the eastern expedition to the executive.

"We can of course, at a date in the very near future, come to an agreement on inter-colonial commerce and trade. However, that will have to wait until the McClellen Colony has adequate boarder protection facilities and protocols. I hope you can understand." Dr. Fendry calmly says to Gov. Resta.

"Until then, only small groups from your colony will be allowed to enter McClellen. Security of our sovereign soil stands before our duty to our allies." Field General Peters says in an even harsher tone than before.

At the Southern Military Colonies (the unofficial name for the two Hamptonian colonies seperate from McClellen itself), expansion is still the name of the game. Lieutenant General Vincent Centena, the recently appointed Theatre Commander and Proconsul for the Southern McClellen Military Sub-Colonies (the official name for the Southern Military Colonies), continued the drive to strengthen the Hamptonian position. Standard "Wilson Line" Boarder Fortification are being erected at both colonies while the Lt. Gen. Centena and his staff decide where to expand next.

I propose that we both remove military foritifactions along our colonial border. All we need is a wire fence and lookout posts to prevent illegal immigration. That way we can concentrate our defences on other parts of our borders. However," the Praetonian leaned across the table, "that is not the main reason we asked you here." He leaned back. "It was the hope of our government that by the end of this meeting, we two nations will have decided the map of this sothern landmass. Although we will not be able to have troops on the ground to enforce these massive claims for a while, I doubt anyone here would challenge us. What do you say?"

Like Moranthia small colony towns sprung up along the border. Although they were so insignificant and small they were not worthy of names. The Tech-Com construction crews began too build the road in THREE places. One section began at the Red Tide/Moranthia border, the other at the 4th major colonies, the last in between. From there the roads met each other. Immediatly goods began too flow both ways across the road. The economies of the two colonies flourished.

The military went from 500k to over 1 million - and they're eating what? Do you know how much space 1 million people take up? And what a nightmare it would be to your logistics people?

He did say "vehicles" which would mean anything from motorcycles and ATVs to tanks. At least, I hope that's what he means.

As to ships, Vastiva has a total of seven fleets in the area if you include shore patrol and the transport and freighter fleet that is moving colonists and supplies. There are 281 ships. Total. That is 29% of Vastiva's total compliment of ships of all sorts, but I'm a naval nation.

Seven ports with no native supplies of petroleum, you need to fly in how much to keep them going? How much for power to keep the areas moving? How much food is moving? Remember - people have to eat something, and native land is not going to give you all you need for a force that immense.

And you use additional fuel moving fuel from point A to point B... logistical nightmare. You need a million plus army for... what?

Yes here I agree with Vastiva the logistical aspects of such a military endeavour would leave your country's economy strained after a short while as your military needs more money for logistical support and oil especially if you import oil from other countries. By vehicles I'm taking that you mean Hummers, APCs, Tanks etc. military vehicles. They usually use even more oil and gasoline than do civilian vehicles. Thus to supply that entire army you would need a constant supply line from your home country to your colony. Depending on how far away you are it could take you upwards of a month via ship to transport supplies to your new colony. That would be an endeavour without your massive military needs but with that it would be near impossible.

Your oil post says three weeks of test bores PLUS weeks of getting people there. That's a jump, and you don't need to jump so fast. It's your land. Might you, for example, find coal deposits near the oil deposits (oil shale being what it is...)?

Assuming anything in a free form RP is dangerous and ends with squabbling. I say this with decades of RP experience, not as a lecture. It is more to your advantage to state at least "and escorts". That way you can point back later and go "they were there, see?".

As to the nOOb "AIDS Terrorism" - why not treat it as actual, put a punative thunk on his country? Best way to teach someone how to RP is to RP with them. Wiping out his threat was the space of a paragraph for me...

If you consider the size of the continent as mentioned (Europe and Asia) then the smallest claim here is roughly the size of Italy - or was, last I checked a map. I'm enjoying thinking about how my nation could support and hold such an area, and the details are amusing to say the least. It's all a game, afterall, and one which "coming out on top" means you had a good time, no?

Militaristic expansion of the entire continent, thats what I need it for. The vehicles, I said its majority light vehicles, IE Souls, and light trucks, which are diesal efficient. With the native hunters,fishers and farmers to slupply the soldiers and them selves and imports coming in constantly also help slupply the soldiers and them. Anyways, I'll do as you say, but really people, some nations have much larger armies deployed where there was no slupply of fuel and etc. Also, My air force is eniterly reasonable as its mainly on carriers and the island bases, as for fuel matters the refueling ships come quicker than war ships, and finally soem are helicopters.

Back in the homeland AZK the people are defintely fealing the effect of this colonisation, rationed food and gas, no leaving the country unless buisness, civilain flights being redirected to MZK, naval movements stopped, car pooling encouragement imports of oil and gas(formerly self sufficient), and more taxes along with more family going off to active duty or long time work.

For the naval information, I'm an island country. With 4 fleets deployed their, its sucking up my navy, I never said all the ships were constanley deployed just that many inthe region, most are in docks(fuel shortages), and the rest are just anchored at sea. A massive amount of the ships are Ivanius Class Ships(small cruisers) which run on a hybrid engine, and have been order to use their electric engines to go about 4kts.

One more point: The amount of air craft, zeppelins and ships leaving the AZK to the MZK is in the the high hundreds. 350,000 or so thousand are in NeoPraeton which I'm 8hopefully* getting slupplies from the Praetonian Government and from nature for defence of their colony, even thought the soldiers might be leaving shortly.

He stopped and pulled a hankerchief from a pouch and whiped his face and got his canteen and took a large swig of water. Loose rocks fell from above and made a small noise. He turned with a sudden movement and pulled his Ak-102 of his back and shoudered it immediatly. He saw some kind of body about 20 feet up.
He yelled "You are in Nycton territory who be you and what is your buissness?" There was no comply. He started walking closer to the unknown man when he noticed the man fell over and began a roll down the hill to his position. He backed him and the body fell 2 feet infront of him. He was in a Nycton uniform. He starred at his patch, the Mountian battalion sent about a week ago. He noticed the man was very bloody, his left pant leg missing, his rifle gone, 5 claw scratches all over him. What had attacked him? "He radio'd in "This Echo 7, Echo 7, requesting medical aid for 1 person."
He noticed his sidearm, a Beretta-9000S was in the man's gloved hand, clenched. The guard pulled the pistol from the hand and released the magizine. 8 shots had been fired of the .40S&W rounds, 2 remained. He put the pistol in his own belt and waited. A hummer arrived 10 minutes later. A soldier sat in the top manning a 20mm machine gun. Both men in the driver and passenger seat pushed out, got a stretcher, loaded the man in the hummer, and took off. The guard just stood in the open and looked on to the horizon of the vehicle speeding off.
After the docters inspected the man, which was still alive, he was in extreme shock, several blows to the head, and in exhaustion. The unknown man's name was "Vandon," as they later found out. When he had awoken, his pupils were dilated, and did not focus. He just sat in his bed, starred into the ceiling and repeated "Don't go...don't go up...their waiting...they will get you..." Hours later, when the Airmarshal himself tried to interview him he totally freaked out. He grabbed the Drakov's coat and pulled him close violently. "Fall back, their right behind us...im out of ammo, they wont die...Orion is dead now...only you and me are left...a roar...."
"Something is up on that mountian...I don't think it is human" said the Airmarshal speaking to his aid outside of Vandon's room. "Another team will go up. Contact Nova Hope and Hamptonshire that there is something agressive in the mountian, and 20 soldiers are dead from it..."

I disagree, it's so easy to spam the forums with mindless drivel, and indeed so many do so. I think what counts is the quality behind those posts.

I would suppose it would not only be the number of posts - I could artificially inflate my number of posts easily enough - but the content, and the gamesmanship of the individual, as comes through their posts.

Everything shows up in time, by how people play, what they do, do they godmod or do they understand logistics, how do they take losing, etc and so forth.

Besides - good advice can come in a fortune cookie. I won $500 last week playing the numbers I got in one. ;)
