A new era in history opened today when an errant Roman trade ship bumped into an uncharted landmass earlier today. It looked massive, but Roman scouting ships are expected to the area soon to report back on the viability of the region.

Emperor Paul XII was estatic for the news, exclaiming that it is "a new day in Roman history. To bring in and explore new areas of the world is a gratifying experience for us."

OOC: This is a colonial RP set in modern times. However, I want to establish a few things first:

1) I want everyone who wants to participate to RP a discovery and for now just to set up a small community. I am going to set up the map of the continent (which will be displayed OOCly) tommorow. The continent is called "Manium" and there is a region for it- TG me if you want the password.

2) Expansions from your colony is OK, but I do want them to be fair. Don't claim half the continent in one post or even in one day- give other players a chance to get their fair share. I will co-ordinate the claims anyway so that they can be assigned fairly.

3) Please only wage/threaten wars with those who will be willing to participate in them. If a colony wishes to be peaceful and doesn't want anything to do with the war, let them be. Oh, and at the very least if you eventually have to use things like nukes please only have it affect the nations who agreed to be affected.

4) One (1) claim per nation.

I don't want these to sound like "restrictions"...I just want to make sure that things are done fairly so everyone can have fun.

Capt. Viola took out his binoculars and eyed the new land. This place would be perfect... Absolutely Perfect.

A radio command is intercepted of the RomeW nation and the Nycto Navy informed the Premier immediatly. He has ordered a Naval Fleet, be ready to field up to 10,000 troops on the new Continent. New Nycton has been staked. Forward with Fascism!

The HNS Oliver Wilde, a Majesty Class destroyer, was on a long range patrol when they sighted something that shouldn't be there...land.

Commander Darrell Hystrom, CO of the Oliver Wilde, order the ship to make wide "S" patterns to try to map as much of the coastline and the surrounding area as possible. After communicating with Royal Navy Command, Cmdr. Hystrom was ordered to find a suitable location and claim it for the Grand Duchy; once the claim was made a Colonial Fleet would be sent to establish the new colony on this new land mass.

For now only a few dozen men and women and two helicopters that Hystrom could spare were the only things to explore the land and hold the claim until the Colonial Fleet arrived.

Last Night:

Three RF-1s speed by the continent, a radio message goes to the Island of Rose.

There's a new continent out there, and another chance to colonize! We must take the land now!

With that, Twenty Frigates, each filled with colonists and soldiers, started heading towards the new Continent. They wouldn't make the same mistake this time of course. Now they'd be landing with at least 100,000 colonists in total. They arrived already, small villages and stores were up. They had a small claim, near the coast, but they planned to expand. 100 Hummers and 10 T-90 was of course used for open exploration, the rest of the Frigates were needed for those brand new G36s that were being given to all Rosian Soldiers. The colonists were bringing personal weapons of course, Colt .45s and AK-47s mostly. Eh... the Governer was the main leader of the fleet, Mikhail Tolosa. Now it's time to meet the natives hm?

OOC: Was that good?

A Satellite hovered above earth. Within a few minutes of the new landmass appearing, pictures had been taken off it, and sent back to SatImg Command.

It was a remarkable discovery. A meeting of the Emperors top officials and advisors where called, and within an hour an outcome was decided, a force would be sent to colonize a hopefully sizable area of the new continent, and claim it in the name of the Most Holy Empire of the Water Cooler.

Shortly the next day, a specialized fleet left port. The fleet, the 15th Battle group had been designed to land and colonize a territory, and as such would be a valuable asset in the days ahead.

Also a squad of 100 men left from an army airport base, and shortly there after parachuted into the land, quickly setting up an expeditionary force in order to map the territory, and make an initial claim to some of the land.

Colonial Fleet Delta will be arriving at your location in three hours. Cargo vessels, tranports, warships, cargo planes, and Airships will deliver 250,000 personnel, and over 1 billion kilograms of equipment. More personnel and equipment will be sent from Hamptonshire and the Colonies.

You are to lead a small expedition into the countryside to interact with the locals, if there are any.

Airborne Light Infantry Units will be arriving within the hour.

With that Cmdr. Hystrom and 80 Royal Marines leave the Wilde toward a village that one of the chopper flew over earlier in the day.

By now there was 100,000 soldiers landed on the Colony. Also, there were more colonists arriving everyday, now there's about 500,000. The soldiers were named the 3rd Colonial Expeditionary Division. And that was just on the second landing. Things were moving with speed, by now there were over 100 T-90s and 1,000 Hummers. But there were some deaths due to the speed. Now it was time to expand. Five groups of Five Hummers, each armed with a .50 Caliber Machine Gun, and each having four Soldiers armed with G36s. One Hummer in particular was sent to find Hamptonshire's claim. Inside was four men with G36s and a gunner with a .50 Cal. They needed to find that colony now, and they were on their way...

OOC: Quick question where abouts in the world did this continent get discovered? When you post the map could you make it wide angled enough to see some surrounding land mass, or describe very well where it sits.

The scientific community was abuzz with the news before the President even managed to get into the briefing. Universities, scientists, and nerds who watch the live sat feeds where all talking about Manium, the new continent that had, through unprecedented seismic activity thrown up a continent vegetation et all. The academics where wondering right now, how. But there was another question on President Lincoln’s mind, how can Nova Hope lay claim to it. Assembling a board of advisors the President silenced the room with a motion of his hand and brought the chatter to a halt.
“Allright then. How can we claim this little miracle as our own?” The panel looked at one another briefly before a woman in a military uniform spoke up.
“Well sir there are only so many ways that a land claim can be recognized. One, We claim it. To have this work no one can be living there. We have reports of basic colonies being set up so this option would leave us in a very actionable position should any of the settlers challenge our claims. Two, treat with a nation who will recognize our claims. I doubt anyone would be willing to give away such virgin territory so that brings us again to a dead end. Four, the spoils of victory. Should we conquer the territory with uncontested force we will have it as our own. Of course our best option is five, right by habitation. If we have people living on the land who swear allegiance to Nova Hope the land can’t be anyone but ours.” The President thought for a moment and asked.
“What is the status of the carrier groups attached to the Imperator, the Legionnaire and the Bear’s Claw?” The woman smiled, her lips looking like the ones you might find on a femme fatale from a ninety fifties movie.
“Well sir they’ve been crewed and are awaiting your orders in port.”
“Good. Launch them as well as several construction ships and freighters. Have the freighters laden with supplies and people, enough to say, I don’t know, found a small city.” The president smiled and continued. “This will be under federal jurisdiction, not military. I’m going to put a bill into the House to give me authority, it should pass with the current political climate. I also want army engineers in this new city, we need to set this up fast so we can get the proper infrastructure in place.”

It took a couple of days to everything loaded up and on its way, but the thousands of civilians who signed up for this were excited. They were settlers in what was to be the first Noviet colony, ever. Once a colony of a larger empire itself these people were anxious to try their hand at empire building, or as the President called it ‘Dominion Expansion’. The ships put down anchor at the nearest piece of land that looked suitable. Launching a fair bit of ordinance from its main turrets the battleships Plebiscite and Senator deepened the natural harbor allowing one of the construction ships better accesses to the beach to begin building the port that would allow the large freighters to land. In the mean time the helicopters buzzed through the air continuously that day ferrying people and supplies onto shore. By the time the first night fall had come the settlers had constructed a four story community building and two tenements for the eight hundred settlers now living in the town affectionately named ‘First Port’.

The Marine's landed in a area on a beach and began securing the area and made a perimeter quickly. The Battalion Leaders each radio'd HQ on the Capital Battleship NNS Donathon for confirmation of security. At that, bulldozers and military Engineers poured into the peach and began making a military outpost about 150 ft off the shore. After hours of work, a large Tent had been put up. Admiral Nikoli walked in, with a very excited expression on his face to meet Field Marshal Alexander. They saluted eachother and began to talk when suddenly a urgan radio call had came in from Major Ventaal. "Sir, I think we have found something. A squad was reconing on the outskirts of our perimeter, and we saw a man probably about 6 foot in heigth, and almost Native Pacific Island looking. He was dressed in a early 1700 outfit, getting water out of a wooden bucket. Shall we engage in conversation? With almost a immediate response, both commanding officers said in a reassuring voice "No!" Both strode out together and jumped into a Hummer with mounted 10mm MG on top. Marines hopped into their Stryker LAV's and the convoy was off, with about 60 battle ready soldiers to the location of the Major. What the action that was going to be taken, totally unknown...

OOC: Well the troops number isn't bad. If you deployed that you deployed that, its your government and you opinion. As for the 100,000 people, thats a little high for a city a few days old. If you think about it that would require alot of people moving their entire lives into an unexplored, possibly unsafe area. Its not bad I suppose but I'd consider it high. It would mean that counting soldiers and civilians there was 30,000 people on each boat. (A small town in itself) They'd have their personal effects, and the millatary would have their gear. So that's another huge amount of space (think about how much space is taken up by everything you own.) Then you have space being taken up by building materials, again huge amounts of space (think about how much space a town takes up since my guess is your bring enough supplies to build a good sized city). Maybe for refernce you should look at how big places like Charelston or Montreal or Canabera were when the Europeans first colonized them. Just my two cents worth, I tried to be helpful with it.

The huge Vagarys placed temporary docks on the coast infront of the colony, now named McClellen Colony. The Colony is located in a rocky section of the continent and Hamptonian teams have managed to claim and stake out just over 2,500 square miles, with more land expected to come soon.

Dr. Vanessa Fendry, a former Ambassador, was chosen to be McClellen Colony's first Governor for many reasons; she is smart, determined, diplomatic, and independent. She also was a former officer in the Royal Air Force, Dr. Fendry was a civilian that the military could respect. With McClellen City beginning to be erected and the hundreds of thousands of personnel arriving, she has to completely focus on her job.

"Colonel Curtis," a private said while running up to the man in charge of Colonial Perimeter Defense, "Airborne recon has picked up a vehicle headed toward the Southwestern sector. We think it's from The Island of Rose."

Curtis was in his command tent 25 miles south of McClellen City, while he had the men to defend the Colony, supplies and vehicles would be short for the time being.

"Lieutenant Oterman, take your squadron to meet our guests." Curtis said before returning to his maps, or what passed for maps of this newly discovered land.

Lieutenant Oterman abd his squadron of 10 infantry soliders, one Hannibal APC, and a Dragoon IST, set off to meet the approaching vehicle.

To the near immediate north of McClellen City, Cmdr. Hystrom and his team were nearly at the village. A seasoned officer, Hystrom sent his men out in a mutual covering formation just incase the locals were hostile.

"This is Piers to Hystrom," Marine Major Piers radioed to the Commander, "Alpha and Beta teams are at the village perimeter. We have encountered no one. We count at least 300 natives, they look to have only primative technology."

Thinking for a moment, Cmdr. Hystrom gave what was to become an infamous order; "This is Hystrom, we're moving in."

Ah, hello! The leader said with his thick Russian accent. Now at least we know where you are. We're trying to expand our colony, we have no space. How are you doing here?

The Operations director at an unnamed Noviet rocket base watched the last one sail into the night sky, its rocket engines illuminating the country side for miles. The rockets were boosting satellites into geosynchronous orbit over the continent of Manium. This newly discovered continent was to be put into a 3D model by these satellites so that the government would have advanced knowledge of the terrain as they expanded. No recon flights had been ordered until the model was complete, so that they could concentrate on areas of interest to the colonists rather than making broad ineffective general surveys. If they build a rocket base on that continent maybe I should apply for a transfer.

"Were doing fine." Lieutenant Oterman says while in the turret of the Dragoon. "We're glad to see you've found us.

I must tell you that this is now the boarder between our colony and yours. While the terrain around our Colony is very moutainous, it is not nearly as bad as Hamptonshire itself. We've managed to scout and lay claim to over 2,500 square miles to the north of here.

I'd suggest that you either go south or continue inland."

The Soldiers go inside and drive away...

The 2 High Ranking Officers stepped out of the vehicle whisperig eachother "How could such a new island made by seismic activity posess such life-" when his quesion was broke off. "SIR, Major Ventaal reporting!" The Field Marshal saluted back, and the Major took them to the strange man, now companied by 4 other man, one holding a musket of some sort. The Admiral, trudged up the hill alongside the General, the major, and about 10 Marines. Nikoli yelled with a loud "Hello good person's of New Nycton!" The 5 natives were puzzled.
All of a sudden the one holding the musket shouted in a strange, unknown tounge. After that, total chaos came out. One of the 5 natives had pullen a Revolution War styled pistol, and had fired the single shot ball right into the Marine Field Marshal's juggular. A stream of blood spilled out as he fell backwords and began a roll down the hill. Another shot and smoke shot out of the musket, it striked a Marine soldier in the soldier. A scream from one unknown soldier was heard "ENGAGE! ENGAGE!" 3-shot burst rang out of several Ak-101's mowing down the 5 natives. 10 seconds after the initial shots had been fired, it almost seemed like uniformed natives, of their military (In Bright green uniform, simular to the British Red-Coat style) branch had arrived. Probably 10 of them. The Marines rushed up the hill with a burst of adrenaline. Shots still rang out out of the rifles. A group of 5 marines had hopped into a hummer with one of the 10 mm cannons and had driven about 110 feet ahead of the conflict killing probably 16 "green-coats" on the way, and had discovered a native village of probably 2,500. They had no idea what to do next.
Back at HQ, radio responses had been flooding in. The 10,000 Nycton marines had been attacked almost everywhere, only 3 were dead, and 4 wounded though. Nycton confirmed kills were probably in the almost 150's now. The Admiral with about 200 Marines arrived to regroup with the 5 Hummered Marines. The order from Nikoli: Pillage this village, leave nothing alive, leave nothing standing. RPG fire began to hit the outskirts of the town, Hamptonshire, Nova Hope, The Island of Rose troops could hear the screams of men, woman, and children in the distances, along with gunfire and explosions.

Back at the Presidental Palace, the news of the premitive war was not a worry to Premier Donathon. His ambition was clear, spread fascism through the new land, he grasped for more power. Within the hour, he had ordered the Chief of Defense to move out 40,000 troops of the assorted class, have a medium size naval base contructed, and a airfield. Also begin Nycton citizens to volenteer, and witht he recent overcrowd of prisons, move convicts in for slave labor to begin construction of the planned 80,000 man city(The population of the city will probably reach it's planned value in a estimated 3-5 years). With rough terrian, tanks will be almost immoble and useless. Airpower, ecspecially helicopters will be perfect for the area. The airforce has had it's order to take it's first large scale-solo presence in Nycton history. In time, the marines will be removed, and the naval presence will be partitioned in almost 1/6th. This will be a Airforce Base.

Unidentified explosions and screams were drifting down from the hills frightening the civilians. The Mayor of First Port, Izumi Shigi, approached the military liaison reporting the strange events, too late it seemed for the military had already scrambled apache helicopters towards the area. Cresting the hill the saw the ‘green coat’ village and from their height they managed to see several altercations between what appeared to be natives and a foreign army. After a moment with the computer’s recognition system the armed forces of Nycton were identified. Reporting in for orders the three apaches hovered above the hill watching the scene unfold. Admiral Dennis Maita aboard the carrier NHS Imperator responded.
“Do not get involved unless asked for assistance, see if you can’t spook the natives with some close maneuvers though.”
“Yessir.” With that two of the apaches moved towards the nearest conflict, one banking hard and kicking up a dust storm while the other buzzed over the native lines. The third, still hovering over the hill watched, its gunner ready.

ooc: Dammit, I hope your not going to be throwing us smaller guys off continent Nycton :P But I do like you idea of installing the milatary base there, it makes the families move in, and then the service industry follows.

A group of 10 infantrymen, each armed with a HK G36 assualt rifle. They run into a native village, of course they were peaceful. They start negotiating with the natives, they obviously were peaceful. It was decided so, they would slowly make peace with the locals. They needed the economic boost and killing them was stupid...

Initial Landing Unopposed - airborne troops made contact with locals at 0800 hours. Using heliborne scouts, we have placed sensors and claimed area encompassing their territory and the nearby hills/mountains, approximately 2000 square miles. Defensive positions have been errected and unmanned drones will be used to scout within 26 hours.

Two units have created a path to the sea, there is a beach some miles away currently unoccupied. Prefabricated harbor will be placed by 1340 hours by seaborne resources.

Awaiting additional troops and heavy equipment. At the moment, if we have neighbors, they are ignorant of us and we of them. We do not expect this to continue.

Apache helicopters identified as belonging to Nova Hope have been spotten near our position, and explosions are occuring on the opposite side of a ridge. We have entered defensive posture and request that you inform Nova Hope of our presence, and request either temporary alliance or pax.

Harbor in place, heavier elements being offloaded. We are preparing to hold position at dear cost, with the aid of VSS Shaipur and VSS Nikkon . Additional units presence requested.

Satellites floated over the sphere known as Earth. Lenses that would way a done on the surface weighed little out here as they focused on the surface. Blue met green met brown.

Down in Havana, Cuba, men were watching the results on television-sized displays. They had heard whispers of new land. As eyes watched what unfolded a few gasps could be heard. Others mumbled. All wondered the exact same thing: How the hell could we have missed this?

In another part of the capital city of Cuba Premier Estridge was attending business, packing clothes and the sort as he prepared for his departure to speak with the Jamaican government. As he did so an advisor opened his door, head poking through. All in the room turned, wondering who it was, when all had been told not to bother them.

"Sir, we've something that you need to see.."

"Well...um..seems..."

"Spit it out!"

"A new landmass seems to have been spotted.."

Hours later it had been decided to send an expeditionary force. Made up of military personnel as well as a scientifi crew, no other civillians were to come for the time being. With that decided what would be considered as just over two brigades were in the process of lading. 10,000 soldiers along with 2,000 scientific personnel, and enough equipment to fight a small campaign were loaded into transports and cargo ships. These ships were to be escorted by six Vengence class Fast Missile Cruisers, a single Endeavour class LNC, and four Brutus class fast attack submarines. Defensive purposes incase anyonme decided to go against this expeditionary force.

A week or so later the expeditionary force would set down. They had arrived at what was the meeting place between a penninsula and the rest of the continent. It was known other nations had laid claim to spots, but those seemed to be higher north, or atleast a bit away from this area. Within the following days the supply and cargo vessels would be unloaded. Troops would set up housings as well as defenses and research buildings. Helicopters flaoted over the land, moving supplies and vehicles.

(OOC: Sorry if this seems a little short...trying to snag a spot in here, even though my people are a bit away from the action.)

Into the village with the Rosian troops strolls a single soldier, wearing a holstered sidearm, making no attempt at all to be stealthy.

"Greetings, gentlemen. If you ten would be so kind as to put down your arms until we gauge your intentions? There are sixteen snipers in these here woods, each quite able to make a rather... final arguement against violence. I am all for a temporary truce to sort things out."

He stands some yards away, half smile on his face, arms crossed. By the emblems on his collar, he's probably a lieutenant of some sort.


OOC : No, he's not kidding, but he's not interested in violent action unless you start it. In which case, each man firing is pasted. And he is a first looey.

The Rosian soldiers roll their eyes.

We're looking for natives and we get stragglers. The Soldiers lowered their rifles but didn't let go. Look said the Seargent. I have no intention of shooting anyone, but you do realize our deaths will be pinned on your government, and you look like you're from Vastiva, I'm sure my government would be pissed. The Seargent smirks. His Corporal elbows him.

Sir, they really have snipers here. He points to a slight light coming from the bushes. Look... sir. We mean no harm, but any harm on us will result in the anniallation of your nation hm? Now can we talk in peace? Like where you came from?

OOC: I'll accept this RP and assume you're stragglers. But if you get godmoddish I'll have to whip out the mighty IGNORE cannon. Or launch thousands of nukes at you, which I can do...

The Lt laughs gently. "I'll gladly talk peace. It is much preferred to war. However, as someone is blowing up something over those mountains, you will agree that suspicion is the better part of valor?"

He holds out a pack of smokes, takes one out, lights it. "If your commander is interested in talk, perhaps we can expedite such a thing."

With a pen, he scribbles a frequency on the pack liner. "You can contact our commander on that frequency. Talk would be a good way to begin. We are a rather small nation, seeking no... misunderstandings?" He tosses the pack to the seargent.

"If you would forward a request that your troops go no further towards those hills until you make contact, it would go a long way to furthering diplomacy between our nations. Go in peace, gentlemen." He bows and genuflects before departing.

Within the time the other nations were busting their humps at claiming land,the small nation of Benettone were quietly landing at almost random areas all over the seemingly gigantic landmass,as compared with their tiny but lush island homeland.

Every so often,groups of 2000 colonists would land,accompanied by either a division of 1000 infantry or more,or perhaps vehicles of war,which Benettone rather disliked but knew they were necessary for defense.They quickly began building the hub of the new colonies,Loren,which would eventually,hopefully someday be a sprawling metropolis.In accordance with their government´s wishes,the forest was only cut to a minimum,any more needed was brought from Benettone itself.Parties of Muslim missionaries were sent out to talk to the natives and try to bring peace and harmony with them,and perhaps even convert a few.

IC: The Praetonian Government had been cautious last time, but where had that got them? An unwanted diplomatic mess with their ally Hamptonshire over a relatively small piece of land. Not this time.

The Colonial Fleet moved at Maximum Cruising speed, which with nuclear powered trimarans was at least 35knots, towards the new continent. It included the 7th Imperial Fleet and a vast array of transport ships, build by Imperial Praetonian Shipyards esspecially for this task.

The ships skimmed the water, within sight of the coast. A swarm of cheap UAVs took off from one of the carriers, almost silent under battery power. They would wait for the data to be broadcast back and then choose a landing site.


UAV Officer: Admiral Tiberius, we are recieving information back from the UAVs now. There are various different sites, but this one site G, which is up on the display screen, seems the best. It is a natural port and it is easily defensible.

Admiral: Then make for it at flanking speed!

UAV Officer: Are you sure it's wise to be so hasty...

Admiral: ...silence on bridge!


The ships reached the port site in around 8 hours, moving at close to 42 knots. The majority of the fleet stayed outside, guarding the entrance, while the transports and a handful of escorts made their way into the inlet. They unpacked and unloaded 100,000 colonists, the 19th Imperial Guard Divison and all of it's equipment and enough prefab buildings to establish the first city, port, fortress and light airport.

Over the next two weeks Neo Praeton began to take shape as massive prefab stacks rose above the earth below. Farming equipment was unloaded and colonists set to work on the fields. The Imperial Guard constructed the light airport to ship in supplies and more colonists, and the prefab fortress on a hill 2 miles North of the city. It contained enough artillery and machineguns to defend to the city from any natives.

The mechanised Imperial Guard brigade set off to expand Neo Praetonia. In the first 2 weeks they, together with the fleet, claimed a further 600 sq miles of Praetonian land, a they set up automated listening posts on the border. These aluminium boxes, around two metres high, contained 360 vision cameras, IR cameras and motion sensors, as well as remote activated megaphone and machinegun. Later a proper frontier could be established.

The Colony was still being built. There were supplies everywhere, men and women were helping, it was a united effort. The Soldiers ran to the Main House, which is where the Governer was staying.

Some soldiers attacked us, Vastivans or something. Now they want you to talk to their Commander.

One party of missionaries,known as Group ´Melik´,accompanied by a small party of soldiers,equipped with Ak-47s or Snipers,dressed in full camoflouge,as did the missionaries.

Constantly keeping a watch of the surroundings,Sergeant Nader Mazhar gripped his sniper tight and looked to his comrades out of the corner of his eye.He had seen nothing but lush and homegenous jungle since the day they stepped into the jungle,and he was afraid his tan skin might start going white from the lack of sunlight that could pierce the canopy,though the humidity would certainely make him more uncomfortable.

He then said,"Are we even sure there are natives out here?"

The fact that he had been crossing the jungle for the past week with not even any amazing new creatures to be seen was certainely taking it´s toll on him.

By now the civilian part of the Colony was complete. All they had to do was spread out the Miltary machine, which would be difficult, they've expanded and they had to protect borders. An airfield was also in contruction, and the port was already busy with activity. Airplanes would be coming for air defense, and the Colony would be able to build it's own defense fleet. It was all synchronized.

Meanwhile in the Jungle:

A 10 man patrol, each armed with a G36 and a Colt .45 was in the jungle, the spotted the foreign soldiers and decided to hide. The Seargent, led the men to hide. They each pointed their weapons at the soldiers, finally the Seargent yelled.

Most of New Praeton was complete. All of the 100,000 settlers had homes and there were enough farms for the colony to be completely self-sustaining once the first harvest was in. The defences around Fort Custodes were strengthened and all cover in the surrounding landscape was removed, giving the fort complete control over the entrance to Neo Praeton.

Meanwhile the army was advancing, taking more ground and scouting out new city sites. They were still yet to run into any other humans, foreign or native, but they must be getting close.

A Striker (Humvee-type vehicle) drove towards the plane. A man got out in a naval uniform, flanked by two marines.

A new era in history opened today when an errant Roman trade ship bumped into an uncharted landmass earlier today. It looked massive, but Roman scouting ships are expected to the area soon to report back on the viability of the region.

Emperor Paul XII was estatic for the news, exclaiming that it is "a new day in Roman history. To bring in and explore new areas of the world is a gratifying experience for us."

OOC: This is a colonial RP set in modern times. However, I want to establish a few things first:

1I want everyone who wants to participate to RP a discovery and for now just to set up a small community. I am going to set up the map of the continent (which will be displayed OOCly) tommorow. The continent is called "Manium" and there is a region for it- TG me if you want the password.

2) Expansions from your colony is OK, but I do want them to be fair. Don't claim half the continent in one post or even in one day- give other players a chance to get their fair share. I will co-ordinate the claims anyway so that they can be assigned fairly.

3) Please only wage/threaten wars with those who will be willing to participate in them. If a colony wishes to be peaceful and doesn't want anything to do with the war, let them be. Oh, and at the very least if you eventually have to use things like nukes please only have it affect the nations who agreed to be affected.

4) One (1) claim per nation.

I don't want these to sound like "restrictions"...I just want to make sure that things are done fairly so everyone can have fun.

We would like to establish a military base in Neo Praetonia, we would pay for it as you did with the factory complexes!

We find this accesptable, however we would like youto keep your base away from thecity of Neo Praeton for security reasons. You will be assigned a piece of land big enoughfor your requiremtns and we shall provide you with a prefab light airport 'kit' to ferry in more materials. Of course you will have to pay for it but they arenot that expensive. Is this agreed?

Soldiers and Camewottian workers have arrived, the base is set up.
Now workers are getting a small port.

Within the next few weeks soldiers had continued to build the colony, now dubbed New Havana. The main establishment was spread over ten miles. Communications areas and barracks, scientific buildings and towers. A decent sized airport had been constructed, as had a small port. Expansion had been made via the establishment of a trio of forts and the bringing in of another thousand personnel.

Scientists with armed guards had already explored a nice portion of land. Mounted on HMMVVs, they hade made it two hundred miles inland with little traces of man. This though, was partly due to the massive-ness of the land. Overflights though had and would continue to be conducted, by both manned and unmanned. Probes too had been dropped and set. Sensors from mere sound and motion detection to infrared, milimeter bandwidth radar, and tv were on, watching, listening for any signs.

The Praetonian Government has announced the construction of a fleet base, two naval fortresses and a second city in the colony of Neo-Praetonia. Also the surrounding hills will be prospected for valueable ores, and the borders of the colony will expand to cover 1,200 sq km of land. Border posts will be set up ever 2 miles to be manned by the Colonial Militia. More Praetonians are entering the colony to bring the population to 200,000 by the end of the month.

Upon arrival at the new HP Colony, Field Marshal Ynson was ordering to start the building of an airport and more harbours. New colonists were arriving each day bringing the total to 80.000. Expeditions into the jungle were organized daily to hunt animals or to look for ancient artefacts.

A military expedition was planned to look for other colonies, especially for Preatonia. 250 men strong left into the jungle.

Praetonian efforts have been continuing for the past week on the new installations but work has no yet reached the half way point on anything except the border posts. Another light airport under construction has recently been finished near the port and every day it is busy flying in machineguns and artillery pieces for the colonial defence force. Praetonia does not wish to lose her colony to anything.

Meanwhile the Imperial Guard are exploring to the North, following the sea. More Praetonian territory will be claimed soon but not before we have the capability to defend it. At home naval forces are expanding with the construction of 5 more Imperial Fleets, and so the Fleet Base of Port Neo is to be the permanent home of the 7th Fleet. It would be a hugely valuable asset in the defence of the colony, as it had a flight wing of over 500 aircraft.

Work continues, the colony thrives and Praetonia is ready to defend it.

Today a large shipment of tanks and other siege equipment arrived at Brooke's Point. Another 1500 marines have been sent to secure our base. Explorations have shown us that the HP colony is located in a sheltered natural peninsula, a perfect natural harbour. Today 3 new towns have been made, Portus Vic, Leyville and Jellin Town. Yuri Veony, head of the Tech-Com Colonization Force, stared at the new continent on board one of the 5 WILLIE-WILLIE class destroyers. He was happy. The Red Tide goverment was gonna pay BIG bucks to Tech-Com if they set up a colony here. Along with the WILLIE-WILLIEs there were also a few MOON class transports carrying 5,000 soldiers and 15,000 civilians. The Red Tide goverment had already dispatched Geologists and had discovered a large amount of untapped oil reserves VERY close too the planned landing site, there was also lots of rubber found in a nearby jungle. The first transport hit the shore and people and building equipment began too unload.

This was the beginning of a new life in a new world.

OOC:Just for the record Tech-Com Aramaments Corporation is Red Tides largest corporation, the main supplier of Red Tides weapons, and a promising international corporation. This is gonna boot them too one of the best(they hope).

A small ship carrying 1500 communist refugees from Bonstock approached the continent. These people had been boat people since they were shunned from Bonstock during the Great Bonstocknian Civil War. They peered out of the boat, and saw the coast emerge.

"What a wonderful land to settle in," exclaimed the captain. The ship smelled of dysentery, and women and children could not wait to stretch their legs. Perhaps, finally, they would live somewhere other then a boat or refugee camp.

The ship came in to a small inlet, a safe harbor protected from the waves. They got out, and claimed the land for Bonstock, and set about founding a new village, which they called Strauswitzberg, after the famous leader of the rebellion during the Great Civil War. Immediatly, the men set about chopping down trees to make houses. Within a few days, a small village of houses was built, and the people started grazing their hogs, cows, and chickens, and started planting wheat in small, plowed fields. A granary was built, and a center for rationing was set up. A school was built to educate the children. For protection, the menfolk had AK-47s and a few RPGs, relics of the Civil War. Finally, the people started working on their new socialist paradise, which they called New Bonstock.

Word of the new colony spread quickly to Bonstock. It was considered a colony of Bonstock, and that it would remain, so long as the Bonstocknians had anything to do with it.

Within days the ships and settlers that had stayed and had not gone up the coast had set up a few houses and a rudimentary government house made out of local timber. The settlement was to be named St. George, after the province in northern Morathania. The entire colony was to be named Vandalia. After 2 weeks 125 houses and small apartments were built and two small office buildings, one of 7 floors and one of 5 floors, were built hastily to bring commerce, business and trade into the area.

Further up the coast the men other half found a wonderful spot for a town. It was a large lake that had access to the sea. [OOC: Much like Lake Maraimbo in Venezuela]. At the bottom of this lake they founded the town of Somerset and began construction. Settlers from that area where also the first to look at the coastal ranges. A long spine of mountains 100 miles from the coast. The highest mountain was measured at 9,325 feet. So the colonist concluded the plains intermixed with forests and small rolling hills continued for 100 miles and then their was the coastal range. After 3 weeks in Somerset they had built 150 ramshackle homes and a few offices for doctors and lawyers and government workers.

A battleship who returned from the military base in Neo Praetonia found a beautifull bay that nobody seemed to have claimed.
They put a Camewottian flag there.
After one day, 2 transport ships were on the way.

Neo-Praetonia is expanding once again. The borders are being pushed outwards and another two cities and another fort are being constructed. There is a huge demand for places in the colonies where Praetonians see an escape from the hum-drum of 9-5 working life. As a consequence the colonyis receiving funding. The towns are also to be foritified. Earthworks and artillery are being emplaced throughout the cities. Concrete and titanium defences are also being constructed as concerns grow over possible native attacks. An additional division is being deployed to Neo-Praetonia by aircraft to form the currently two division strong Colonial Defence Corp.

All men and women shall have the right to speak, publish, assemble, worship, and vote however they please, though only those older then twenty may vote. Elections will be held every year to elect members of the town council

An executive, chosen by vote of the council, will have the authority to appoint and dismiss judges, veto descisions of the council, direct the town militia, and run day-to-day affairs of the colony. However, the town council may at any moment relieve him of his duties.

The rights of citizen are listed, but not limited to, those that are said here, and if the people will it so by popular vote, those rights may be explicitly said in this document, or any measure in this document may be changed.

Theyre will be an extra 1500 Infantry incoming in the next few days together with 2000 colonists.
The colonists have founded Port Kangsee and the town around it New Jensen.

250 are building all the basic needs for a village while the others are starting up farms, the Infantry are making sure no natives can attack us.

A Bonstocknian fishing boat stumbles accidently into the Praetonian colony, and sees that its rapid expansion is encroaching on Bonstocknian controlled territory.

Meanwhile, as men on horseback with AK-47s patrol around, elections are held in the new colony. Twelve men form the new "Council." Immediatly, they appoint local man Karl Swartz to be the new "executive" of Strauswitzberg, and they appoint two judges. The executive quickly appoints a sheriff, who builds a small police station and jail. Also, the executive arranges for a power generator to be bought from Bonstock to power the new colony. In additon, plans are made for expansion on the river that flowed into the harbor Strasuwitzberg was built on.

The Bonstockian fisherman was spotted by a Cassius Class destroyer guarding the entrance to the Praetonian inlet.

"Unidentified vessel. You are in violation of Praetonian sovereign territory. Make your way to this ship where you will be arrested and returned to your country of origin. If you refuse or attempt to escape we will open fire."

The Bonstockian fisherman was spotted by a Cassius Class destroyer guarding the entrance to the Praetonian inlet.

"Unidentified vessel. You are in violation of Praetonian sovereign territory. Make your way to this ship where you will be arrested and returned to your country of origin. If you refuse or attempt to escape we will open fire."

The Bonstocknian fisherman rigged his motor, and sped off for Strauswitzberg.

"Unidentified vessel. Halt or you will be fired apon"

As the Leuitenant saw that the boat had no intention of returning in accordance with international law, he ordered a nearby Enforcer Class Coastguard boat to give chase.

"Unidentified vessel. We have given you due warning. Open fire!"

A few warning shots of 30mm ammunition smashed into the sea sending spray across the sides of the boat. The Enforcer Class was gaining, rotating it's 57mm autocannon to face the unidentified fishing boat.

"Unidentified vessel. We are pulling up alongside you."

The boat kept speeding. But the coastgaurd vessel was gaining. 30mm fire was spraying everywhere. The man took his AK-47, and fired at the coast-guard vessel. It fired back, and killed him.

Back in Strauswitzberg, more colonists arrive, bringing the population to nearly 15,000 people for the entire colony. The incident brings shockwaves through the entire community. The newly-created television station, which usualy played Bonstocknian programs, was interrupted with the news, and showed bloody images. Outraged citizens took to the streets, demanding an apology from the Praetonian government. Bonstock proper took note, and two carrier battlegroups, which had been on transit in the area, were diverted to the shores of Praetonia, as a deterance.

Now 2500 Colonists live in New Jensen.
The 2000 soldiers are now daily patrolling the jungle edges to make sure nobody gets out or in.

Meanwhile, New Jensen is getting to big.
Once everyhing is harvested the land that is called Vlaanderen shall surely be able to live on its own, so more colonists are arriving and have started up a new town called Pepingen.

OOC: Eh? You're controlling my coastguard boat? If I wanted to kill him I'd have missiled the boat already.

Petty Officer: Sir they're firing small arms. No damage, they can't penetrate our armour.

ic: As the boat kept speeding, a Bonstocknian destroyer came into view. The fishin boat radioed over, "We need help! We need help!"

The destroyer sailed over. Over megaphone, it screached, "What is the problem?"

OOC: Hmm... some random destroyer just appears without my nearby carrier battlegroup seeing it? This is a tad unrealistic but Ill go with it.

"We are comandeering an unidentified vessel, which violated our territorial boundaries, in accordance with international law. We have not yet left Praetonian waters which extends 12 miles from the coast. I subjest that you turn around immediately.

As the Lieutenant finished speaking from bridge via megaphone mounted above, ten officers of the Imperial Police jumped on board the unidentified fishing vessel and crouched behind their bullet-proof shields, tazers ready to fire when the unidentified gunman presented himself.

With the expansions made and explorations conducted and in the process of being conducted, the USSNSR government is ready to release the first satellite images. Though not detailed, it is meant to give a general idea of the area. More detailed maps will come within the next few days.

Aircraft are en route"

At that moment 5 JSF style planes roared overhead and began circling the area, having been diverted from a return run from patrol duty.

Meanwhile on board the ship the Imperial Policemen had edged their way towards the main cabin. The gunman had not made any signs of resistance.

"Unidentified crew, come out with your hands up within the next 20 seconds or we will open fire"

They were bluffing that they hand guns, but even without them they were fully capable of storming the cabin.

The CSS ' Colony' and 'Freedom' entered Praetonian waters heading for the Camewottian Military Base for a quick stop when they saw what was happening.
The two turned and went for the other side of the Bonstockian ship.

The rest of the settlers either went west to found the town of Wentworth, 43 miles west of Concordia or to the east to establish farms and the town of Glocester,135 miles east of Concordia. A group of settlers also went from Somerset over the mountains. Their they founded the towns of Mount Laurel, 50 miles passed the mountains, 188 miles west of Concordia, Kennecot, 154 miles south of the mountains, 225 miles SW of Concordia, and Richmond, 86 miles east of Mount Laurel and 134 miles west of Concordia.

Due to most recent actions of certain nations the AZK Navy will be sending the 1st and 3rd Naval Fleets(along with over 300 planes) very soon. As of now they are laoding up with slupplies and weapons, along with the crew, in a matter oof moments the fleets will depart from Red and Grey Naval Bases to make sure of peace in the local area(near Neo Praetonia). Along with the Fleets are transport ships carrying the 13G Division of the VanGuard, and the 23S45 and 24D35 Marine Divisions. The 56 ZZ Regiment is being sent also to train locals and hold important areas.

The fact that this is an undiscovered continent is not much of a problem, cordinates to Neo Praetonia and other costal colinies have been given to me for further protectional ability.

If conflict begins I will be forced to intervene and try to end the conflict.

OOC: Well, this has advanced leaps and bounds since I last posted. Because I don’t think its fair that I’m penalized for sleeping I’m going to make posts from where I left off to now to get me in place. From what I’ve gathered from everyone saying, about a month has passed.
BTW two points.
1) Let’s put a time and date on each of our posts so everyone knows what the timeline is like. Instead of saying they do this over a few days, why not say they start doing something and wait until the timeline advances to the point where they finish.
2) I find some of these colony sizes to be wholly unreasonable for cities not even a month old. There are ways that this could be done I suppose but really try looking up the colony populations of some of the European colonies in North/South America for a good rule of thumb. Now because I feel I am getting left behind for my courtesy to the thread starter, by not swamping his continent as he asked, I’m going to be putting more people onto the continent to at least match the population you guys have going on.

OT 08:00 Day 2

Satellite imaging had located another suitable colony site further up the river First Port was at the mouth of. Recon planes were dispatched to survey the site. Not finding any other claimants prospectors were sent up river in shallow bottom boats.

Back at the colony the construction of more housing began as the colony prepared for the arrival of many more colonists.

OT 14:30 Day 2

The construction ships had completed the colony’s first deep water port now. The harbor was naturally deep enough to support large ships and the dock area was dredged to allow them to dock with the colony.

OT 09:00 Day 3

The people let out a momentous cheer as the first hydroponics garden of the colony was completed. This would allow them to grow the food from their homeland not supported by the local climate.

OT 20:00 Day 3

The prospectors radio in that they have reached the new site and will begin surveying immediately. Another rousing cheer is heard from the jovial little colony site.

OT 07:30 Day 4

A commercial freighter docks in First Port to unload a large amount of farming equipment. The colonists immediately go about clear cutting the land on either side of the river to make room for farms.

OT 10:00 Day 4

The Mayor launches a crew of 100 settlers towards the second colony site. They’re traveling up river via boat.

OT 15:15 Day 4

Another large freighter convoy of colonists arrives in First Port bringing the civilian population up to five thousand. These were families, not requited homeless peoples. The families, amazed at the wide open space, began constructions of homestead. These were properties with lawns and of course ground was broken for a new school.

OT 12:00 Day 5

The crew of 100 settlers arrives at the second colony site and break ground on the community centre. Almost identical in style to the one in First Port the community centre is a large based building with only two floors. Over all this one has more capacity but isn’t as tall.

OT 07:15 Day 6

Another freighter convoy arrives in First Port today unloading more supplies and colonists. The registered colony population climbs to 12,000. Mostly living in prefabs near their homes to be moral is high and the civilians have high hopes for the future.

OT 09:45 Day 15

First Port’s population has climbed to an excess of sixty thousand by this time. In a rousing ceremony in the second colony its name is changed from second site to ‘Riverview’. A thriving colony of its own Riverview is expanding up the mountain with many homes having a fantastic view of the river. By this time the section of forest between the two colonies has been clear cut and farms, both cattle and crop, have been laid down where the jungle once stood.

OT 11:20 Day 17

In true Noviet fashion the President has opened the Manium markets to the corporations of Nova Hope. The first corporations on Manium are the mining, oil, forestry and farming corporations who open an international airport in First Port. With the international airport online the population is expected to grow in leaps and bounds as the companies bring in the workers and their families.

Day 30 Mayoral report to the President

First Port is growing nicely. Now in excess of 60,000 we are beginning to develop a more complex economy as the service industry begins to prop up for the workers living here. Primarily a chop it down dig it up economy we are none the less seeing some impressive figures for growth and expansion. The first high rise has started and the first five floors already have offices in them as banks, insurance firms and other businesses take hold. We have a large divided highway linking us to Riverview, whose population now exceeds 25,000. Three lanes are on one side of the river while the other three are on the opposite side of the river. This seems to please the truckers as they are not stuck with the same monotonous view both ways. We would be honoured by a presidential visit and we do have the facilities to support you as we have just opened a five star hotel on the shore where you have an excellent ocean view. Every morning you can wake up to a beautiful sunrise and look out upon the three carrier groups who look over us in an unending vigil. Thoughts for the future, I hope that we can expand once more, there is another promising spot nearby. I’ve spoken with the military liaison and he will bring all the details to you.

OOC: Three months??!?! ITs not really fair to everyone else in the RP to jump the timeline like that is it? I mean look at my above post, I had to do alot to catch up and its no where near as good as I'd like it but because of the speed this timeline is progressing I feel forced into it.

Cannot everyone simply enjoy RPing out the actions of their individual characters to advance this rather than rushing throuh it with a general overview? I will continue to write this way if that's the general consensus I just prefer to write on a more base level with the individuals as my canvas, not the overview.

Neo-Praetonia Announces Improvements

The following improvements will be made to the Colony of Neo-Praetonia:

1) Urban defences will be strengthened, including many emergency chaincannon and anti-tank missile stations that will be manned by the Colonial Guard in the event of invasion.

2) The building of a fortress near the far-flung city of Neo-Extremis. This will house SAM batteries, artillery, anti-tank and anti-infantry weaponary.

3) The building of two military bases where AfrikaZKorps troops and ships will be housed.

4) The strengthening of air defences. This will include mobile and emplaced SAM batteries across the cities and the countryside.

In addition, expansion to the West (left of the map) where the Bonstock colony is located has been halted. All expansion will now be to the North and North East. Additional naval resources are being shipped in, including two destroyer squadrons and a cruiser squadron.

3 months after the settlment of Vandalia a group of 2 ships and 2 frigates carrying 1200 settlers ran it a huge storm out in the open ocean about 250 miles from Vandalia.
"This is the worst storm I've ever seen," said Captain Donaldson of the Frigate Reliant, "whats our current position?"
"About 25 miles from the Macasus islands."
The ships navigations systems were wrong though they had been washed south right near the islands. the four ships ran aground on a shoal 110 feet from the beach. Only 20 people were killed but the settlers and crew were shipwrecked on this small group of coral cays about the size of Bermuda.
"Well, will have to make the best of it," said Captain Donaldson, "thats all we can do. get everything that you can off the boats we have supplies for the colony we may be able to use those to construct some houses and shelter for all of us."

"The AZK 1st fleet has just left harbour" Claimed a news reporter on National News Network, "the second fleet is expected to leave soon along with the Naval Air Korp. They are destined to go off to war or peace keeping, in Neo Praetonia."

The giant ships slowly were picking up speed and moving along with the smaller ships, sooner or later they would arive with extra ships, landing at Base Beta and the 3rd fleet will go to Base Alpha. Praetonia will oversee troop deployments etc.

OOC: Could everyone slow down a bit. Morathania has done 13months, Ihave done about 3 as have others. Some have done less. I think we need a fixed time scale for this which we must all abide by. Also a lot of the colonies seem to have positioned themselves close together. There is lots of land left to claim. However you should, again, move slowly. You need to defend your land or your claim is meaningless.

OOC: Oh I realize that some of us are further along, I just want a time scale so that we know where everyone is. I mean technically I was here before you yet I've RPed out a month. Its just stuff like that. Our colonies are along different lines of development yes but we are existing simeltanously so we need to be concientous of the in character timeline, that's all I really wanted to get across. The vessel edged closer to Bonstocknian territory. The crew didn't buy the bluff. Twenty seconds past, and they entered Strauswitzberg harbor, with its anti-ship missile batteries pointing out to sea, and its anti-air batteries pointing to the sky. The boarding party was allowed to return to their ship.

Reinforcments
The 40,000 Airforce troops arrived about 2 weeks later with another Naval Task Forces. The Marine Corp had been packing up and ready for the 1st Fleet that had taken them to New Nycton, to return home in. A large airfield had been contructed slightly West of the Naval Pear and The Colony of 13,000 Civilians. One story buildings were errect where ever Nycton had been on the coast. Anti-Air SAM's, Anti-ship Missiles, and 280mm-480mm Coastal Battery's. The next Naval Fleet was due to arrive in about 2 days. This one has a lot of Engineers, Construction Worders, Convicts used as Slave Labor, and contruction gear. It will be able to build advanced buildings in a faster process.

War
The War over the primitives or 'green-coats' had been a swift ease. a total of 4 Marines had died, and 9 wounded, which will heal without any defects. The death toll for it's mid 1700 technologyed foe was staggering. The last few weeks held a great advance on their territory. Probably up to 2,400 dead, 2,000 probably wounded or dying. Unmanned Aerial Drones has picked up what has believed to be their capital. The population of this city is estimated by the Airforce to be around 28,000. Everyday now, FGA's flew over Bombing and Napalming their capital. Ecspecially at night, not just to kill the enemy, but to deprive them of sleep. They will fall to the Fascist grasps. The great push for the capital will be very soon, with a massive helicopter attack and Airforce Special Forces ground teams will hit the city in brute force. The Nycton government has issued not to kill on sight when this operation begins. Kill as many hostiles as possible and take the civilians as personal slaves that could swiftly make the citizen of New Nycton happier, and more efficient for the work force.

Diplomacy
Contact has been made with Nova Hope. The capitalist pigs know nothing of our true powers posess. But this is okay, for if they do not stand in our way, they will certainly not stand in ours for a moment. Tommarow, group of 9 will travel in Chinook to Nova Hope's colony to talk relations, trade, agreements, and more. The party will consist of Air Marshal Fainte, designated Governor of New Nycton, 2 aids, a diplomat, A Scientist, and 4 Body Guards of the Loyalist Guard.

OOC: I wont be on for about 20 hours so no invading me or squeezing me into a tiny box.

Basically what Neo Praetonia will be doing is expanding to the North and North East, foritifying the expanded borders and developing it's defences and cities. I'll post specifics some time tomorrow.

RP with them any way you like. There can be more rivers and small lakes, but they're too small to be shown here.

2) The continent is five times the size of Eurasia and Africa combined (a note on the river: it's not actually that big according to scale, but I had to find some way of pointing out the major river on the continent). This way I can accomodate everyone who wants a large colony.

3) As far as timelines go, it doesn't bother me how far an individual nation has progressed as long as a) the claim doesn't grow exponentially the matter of RL days and b) other nations that don't want to be tied to it are not tied to it.

4) If anyone wants to re-create the map, you can re-create it in magnified sections just to focus on your immediate area. Just remember where everything else is.

The Colony was complete. The Airfield was up, the Planes were delivered, Helicopters also came. Towns were scattered, machine gun emplacements were being set up at the border. The T-90s were in garages spread out throughout the Colony. The Humvees, were constantly on patrol looking for new colonies. Now it was time to establish a presence...

10 RF-1s take off, their orders? To fly over each Colony, each was armed with 4 Sidewinders and 1,000 Pound bomb, just in case. It was a show of force, rare for the Rosians, but they had to scare them I suppose. Well, I guess.

RAH-1s were sent for rescue operations, who knows who was lost out there? The Rosians were using a new strategy, a strategy involving war, a strategy that might make or destroy them, the Governer then sent the following message through radio:

Bleh, good day.

Meawhile, more colonists, seeking to escape from Bonstock's punitive income tax rates and crowded spaces, flock to the Bonstocknian colony, sending the population of Strauswitzberg skyrocketing to 100,000. To accomadate this surge, the colony expands up te Scwartz River, founding the towns of Hragetsburg and Fort Gustav.

A small airstrip is built outside Strauswitzberg, to accomidate the occasional flight from Bonstock, as well as a flight of 8 F-15Cs for air defense, though the suge of colonists has placed extra demand on it.

OOC: No offense but that map sucks. I'll try to work on it too. I have some programs that could help it look like nice drawn out map. And how long will a month be in RL. We need to set a standard time if were going to RP this well.

IC: After 3 months of constant building and settling the colony of Vandalia had finally settled down as settlers where pushing out the bounderies of the colony new settlers from Morathania came to the colony seeking their fortune. On November 7th the governor of the Colony of Vandalia, Col. Menzies, gave a speech to the colony celebrating the opening of the temporary houses of parliament, a permanent neo-classical building was being built on Federation Square in the Center of St. George.

"This is a new day for Morathania and a new day for the world. This new continent holds a bright new future for all the peoples of the world and for the great country of Morathania. May this colony be a shining becon of freedom and democracy to the world and may Morathania and Vandalia forever be the laterns of liberty in this dark world. I am here today to open the temporary Houses of Parliament for the new colony in preparation for elections that are to be held 2 months from this date. This will be the first time democracy has graced this new untamed continent. May legislators from all corners of Vandalia come to this new beacon of democracy and work for the people to create a great new democracy. I would also like to announce that I myself am spellbound by this land. It has grabbed my heart like a beautiful women and it has reign me in. So because of that hold on my heart I'm hearby resigning from the military. I would also like to add that I will be running for the governor of this colony that I love as a civilian in January. Finally, I must say thank you to all the men and women who have journey such a long way from home to come to this great land. May god bless this new colony and may god bless Morathania."

The new colony currently has 30,000 people spread out over an area of 265,000 sq. miles. Settlement continues to occur and more and more people are moving to the colony. It will continue to expand.

Description of Colony:

Very large, landed on the Northern Coast and expanded very very south. Towns are scattered, farms, large military presence. Huge Airfield near the coast, forts are about 10 in total.

So who wants to RP the planes flying over them?

OOC: This is information for the map of the continent. After the colony is done expanding. We want to be the size of the state of Alaska or at lest Texas. We want to be along the Northern Coast of the continent. We want a few major rivers flowing through the colony.

RADAR confirmed satellite telemetry that Rosian fighters were inbound for the colony. Admiral Maita looked wild eyed about his tactical displays. Shouting orders aloud the bridge was clockwork pandemonium. People shouting, speeding this way and that yet no one was confused. Everyone had a task and went about it with no notice to anyone other than those it was mandatory to interact with.
“Launch the fighters! I want thirty Super Hornets up there to turn back the Rosian planes, we are not allowing a foreign military presence over our soil unannounced. Bring up targeting solutions via cruisers, I want to be able to take those bastards down with a push of a button.” Before the word button was spoken the steam catapult on the Imperator, Legionnaire, and the Bear’s Claw had launched the first interceptors. Climbing quickly the pilots pushed their machines to maximum burn towards the Rosian interlopers. Coming onto the radio Admiral Maita boomed at the Rosians.
“This is Admiral Dennis Maita aboard the NHS Imperator to the Rosian military aircraft inbound for First Port. What is your major malfunction? Do you people not announce yourself when entering the airspace of another sovereign nation? Unless you need assistance you’d better turn your ass around because we are not the friendly type to hostile nations.” With that the firing solutions had been calculated and the cruisers had tone on the incoming planes. The admiral came back on the radio to renounce,
“Son I have twelve anti aircraft cruisers down here with a lock on you, speak up.”

As months past the civilian colony grew to a population of 22,000 on the North East part of the continent, where as the 62,000 Nycton military forces stayed in consistancy. The raid on the capital went very well. At 4:00 AM, a total of 45 F-96 Talon Multirole Fighters and 35 Ah-10 Panter Attack Copters took off of the oversized airforce base known as Ft. New Beginning. 35 of the Fighters dropped it's bombs all over the 28,000 popuatlion village on the base of a very large mountian.
The sun began to rise on the horizon as explosion and fires raged out control. A dark skinned man holding double colonial pistols looked at the beutiful orange sun, bringing first light to the day, shadows appeared. The chopters flew straight up, as soldiers under them trudged ahead, leaving muddy footprints. Approxamently 200 Airforce Combat Officers and close to 4,500 Marines and the infamous Omega Battalion, a Elite Army unit was side by side. Ak-102 fire started and rains of bullets kicked up dust and hit the wooden buildings of the capital. The Helicopters flew ahead at about 35 feet in the air and began hovoring, letting loose a barrage of Hellfire missiles on separate targets. The peoples were harmless and the ones wishing to surrender laid down on the cold ground, arms stretched out infront of them.
Hours had past and all the fires had been put out. 16,000 people of this Native Race was dead. 12,000 had been bound in plastic handcuff, and pound together in groups of 50. They bagan the almost 200 mile walk back to New Nycton. Every hour, they were stopped, given a 8 oz cup of water, and a tiny piece meat, and slice of apple, or other handpicked fruit. What was left of the village was going to be a forward base for the Airforce Ground Combat Crew. 2,000 troops were left in the area to wait for more tha 50 engineers and construction buildings. The Officer in command had made the HQ of the base the Palace of the Natives. The King of them still remained with a lot of his aids in the basement of 18 room building. His long blond silky hair which almost came to his lower back had been cut wasa bannet, and the remainder had been cut to almost 1/8th of a inch high. A 24 hour watch was inforced on them. The next object was to scale this impossibly high mountian...Maybe a monument of these people?

A military base had already been set up in what is now known as the colony of Zigma. In the base a medium airfield(just large enough too support a couple of K-10s) had been set up. A carrier battlegroup was enroute too supply the airfield with fighters and ground attack VTOLs. SHRIKER-2 Multi-purpose defensive gun emplacements, and WS-2 Artillery Defensive gun emplacements had been set up too gaurd the colony which had just also finished a decent harbor. A nearby oil field had been set up and was employing the colonists. A pipeline was being contructed too a refinery(also under construction). Another 5,000 soldiers and 25,000 colonists had already arrived... also there was about a hundred BTR and BMP APCs. A small oversea headquarters had been setup by Tech-Com too oversee the operation. This was also the headquarters for the Colonies "goverment", which still HAD too obey the mainlands orders... also deployed were MDM-4 SAMs.

OT Day 45

With the fair sized colonies taking shape several pit stops were forming up on the highways between. Not wanting commercial traffic to be hindered the administration has built the first off ramp in the new world. Needing to put a name on the highway sign the town of Redrock has been named and its first mayor is in the process of being elected. As the current colonial system stands the mayor each colony reports directly to the mayor of First Port, with only mild objections raised to this system the Mayor of First Port swore in Redrock’s mayor earlier today in an official ribbon cutting ceremony in front of the newly commissioned city hall.

OOC: While you could probably see the colony your definately not over it. That'd kind of defeat the purpose of having any defense there at all if you could get planes in that quickly, if you were hostile you could level my colony. But I'll pretend you didn't say over and I'll continue that way.

If the continent is 5X the size of Eurasia and Africa then the small amount of territory I've marked as my own would be what?... the size of China? So yea I'd have a fair bit of response time to intercept.

Dr. Fendry was busy with the plans to get McClellen City fully operational. It has been over 3 months and the Interior Ministry is eager for some return. With over 300,000 people now in the colony as well as a functioning international airport and a major port, McClellen Colony is on the verge of being something greater.

A Confederate battleship has reported back to General Earl Vazquez that land has been found. Moments later President Johnstone called 25,000 elite Confederate infantry to be landed as far south as possible. The Rebel CSA has claimed land on the continent.

While the Rosian fighters were being escorted out Admiral Maita came onto the radio and spoke to their squad leader. Perhaps your leader needs to get in contact with ours, we’re willing to talk but lets do it face to face, where we know your not going to bomb us. This would be much more preferable.

Nycton, having uncontacted neigbhors to the west and south, is locking of her rightful lands. In a effort not to be crowded, another colony expedition will launch soon. This will be one of the largest fleets of the Nycton date. It will carry 30,000 army troops and 15,000 civilians. All the tanks will be withdrawed from New Nycton because of rough terrain, and 10 X1a1's will be landed because of the more flat lands in the south. The Premier also ordered new Nycton to advance south not to let Nova Hope get anymore land on us.

The Red Tide radar man watched the planes approach nervously... Well he already delivered the message, so the SAMs should be ready. The radio operator contacted the approaching aircraft, "Attention unidentified armed aircraft we suggest you turn around now or you WILL be fired on. You are approaching Red Tide airspace... please cease and desist immediatly.

Two RF-1s, unexpectedly were on top of another Colony armed with only four Sidewinders and a 1,000 lb bomb, they didn't know that though, until they heard the message. They were in a side-to-side formation. The man on the right picked up the radio and started to speak.

"I'll pass that along. Your over the border now so stay out please." With that radio communication was curtly discontinued and the Noviet fighters broke off to patrol for anymore interlopes or intruders. Flying in 10 echelons of three the covered the entire colonial expanse of Noviet holdings.

OOC:Just for your information MDM-4 SAMs are not only capable of shooting down planes with a 90% hit chance(they use a variety of types of missiles(ranging from heat-seeking to laser guided and optical) and tracking systems) but can also shoot down MRBMs, SRBMs, cruise missiles, large bomb, and bombs clustered together... so your planes wont have a "easy time" avoiding them.

IC:"NO! The governors orders are too turn away non-diplomatic, non-commercial, and non-Red Tidean Military aircraft! If you want a meeting with the governor you can arrange it via communication! NOW GET OUT!"

OOC: Actually Nycton and Hamptonshire were there before you :P I'm just picking on you, your claim is most likely very spacious. Hamptonshire's claim is somewhat extended because of his building of armed forces bases but yes your claim would be as big (or possibly bigger)

I only have my land claimed, and only two small 125 people sized towns. Another 1500 colonists are boarding C-130s and Ar-1s to arive in Manium Z Korps. The curent Air Force is all naval based until the Ar-1s bring the prefabed air bases.

Zigma had become a prosperous city of 40,000 inhabitants. A port capable of handling large tankers had been completed a little after the refinery and pipeline had been completed. Now Tech-Com can start selling the refined oil world wide. Another division(10,000 men) had been moved into the military base but was already preparing too move out too expand Red Tides claims. Another industry had also been set up: Rubber Plantations, along with a tire factory(both had been set up by Tech-Coms rival: Multi-Goods Inc.).

At Fort Berk, a team of Civilian Geologists and a platoon of Royal Army, Mountain Infantry Troops readied themselves for their survey of the large mountain on the eastern boarder of McClellen Colony. The Colony had already claimed nearly half of the mountain and Dr. Fendry wanted to see exactly what they've gotten themselves into and if they should get more of it.

Captain Evens, the CO of the 9771st Mountain Infantry Platoon, was placed in charge of the survey mission. The leader of the Civilian Surveyors is Dr. Herman Langstein.

"Doc., have any idea what's up there?" Evens asked the Doctor.

"Not exactly," Dr. Langstein responded while finishing his packing, "from the report given by Cmdr. Hystrom the natives consider the mountain somewhat holy and mystical. My job is to find out why."

The 1,500 more colonists have began unloading onto the beach, they will walk to the 1/4th ton trucks and then bring prefabricated houses and slupplies to their dsinated cloninsation areas. As planned the military force in MZK will never grow over 10,000 unless extreme situations are at hand.

The ships at Base Alpha and Base Beta in Neo PRaetonia have also started unlaoding troops, weapons, slupplies, materials and tents to stay on guard in Neo Preatonia.

MZK colonists have asked for more workers to helpp set up the buildings, and are requesting more vehicles, soon enough more Ar-1s and C-130s will take off to slupply them with nessecary materials. Having one dessolation plant prefabricated in the AZK was good and will be shipped immedaitley, soon the settlers will have a food(fish and animals) slupply and a water slupply that isnt imported from the AZK.

(OOC: I got new map and added some nations and what not. I left out some city names and locations, go ahead and save the most recent one after this and add it. I added some extra land on and what not for some exploration. Red Tide2 has less lan than rest because he joined the thread later on. Army rangers parachuted onto a tropical beach and hit the sand and began undoing his chute and doing tactical manuvers into the forest. Later they found they had landed on a river base. The troops secured both sides and began unloading all the civilian and military supplies. Missiles and Gun Battery positions began being put up on both sides of the river.

Finally, a new international airport was completed in Strauswitzberg, and planes flew in tourists and colonists, bolstering the colony to an even larger number. Many come to help out with the new auto-plant, owned by Maropia Auto. A new, nuclear powerplant was created to fuel the rapidly growing city, and suburbs of prefabricated housing started appearing.

Meanwhile, a new colony was built, across the River Scwartz, called Haraldsberg. It was built right next to a large deposit of iron. Nearly 300,000 men, all dissidents, mostly Communists, came, and were forced to mine the hills for iron. The place, outside the town Haraldsburg, was officially known as "Gulag 275." It was known that if all the Communists were as far away from Bonstock as possible, they would not be a threat to Bonstocknian intenal security.

In addition, the Bonstocknian 254th Mechanized Division takes up positions along the frontiers of the budding colony, and a full wing of 60 F-15Cs tak up positions at Struswitzberg International Airport. SA-20 sites appear all around the colony, and RBS-15 trucks point their missiles out to sea.

OCC: I joined later in the the thread but almost all of the land is not colonized of my, just claimed, and caught perpetrators will be attacked unless otherwise stated.

Soon enough my people will settle into all corners after Einsberg is finshed and has 300 people in, which is expected to be done soon, then the people with no homes will have a small group scount out then, they will order in a house and then trucks will delivery it, quite simple but effective. Soon enough MZK will expand beyond claims and more people will come. As of now, 200 people are coming per NS day.

OOC:I do not feel cheated, And I thank you for making a map. I do not know how too atach maps(and I suck at making them).

IC:It was time. The division was ready too move out. Another 15,000 civilians had arrived in preperation for the movement. Also the military base had been upgraded too have a small military airfield which now held H/K-1 Ground Attack VTOL craft, MIG-39s, and SU-37s. The airport had been upgraded from a small international airport too a medium one. The convoy of trucks, APCs, and cars rolled out of the city. They were followed by surveyprs too lay down work for roads. The convoy travelled south.

OOC:I have decided too grab as much land in between me and the nearest nation before moving west.

OOC: Sorry Marathonia, but that is very godmoddish. I am a must stronger nation than you, and I don't have half that. Theres no way for you to explore and colonize that much, it's just 100% illogical. Try to dampen the size down atleast matching other's size.

A large amount of colonist have came in Ar-1s and C-130s recently landing at a makeshift airport. One Ar-1 was carying tons of concrete, prefabed towers and hangars, to finsihs up the air base with, soon enought the temporary Mulberry based docks will be set up in a few (NS) hours, then the AZK cargo shipd will be able to dock.

The first flak sites, thaads, patriots, and avengers have arived by means of Ar-1. The First Air Cavalry will be laucnhed from a Invincible Class Carrier. Made up of 500 troops that use helicopters to go around will bve delpoyed as a fast reaction force. Sure enough the towers near the coast, set up by the Milirtayr, saw the siloettes of AZK ships over the horizion, carrying the rocket systems,tanks, humvees, trucks, trains, and rail road track, along with their crews and colonists. By the end of the month the AZK Military presence will be 10,000 troops, 300 planes(sea and land launch based), over 1,000 vehicles, 2 naval fleets, and over 100 helicopter with 100,000 or so colonists.

Humvees were sent, it was time to expand again. Two groups of ten Humvees went west and two groups of ten Humvees went east. Of course they had Gunners, they'd shoot anything that threatened them. They needed to expand, now. They wanted as much land as possible, they wanted their presence known...

Dr. Fendry was at her desk in McClellen City when she received a startling report. Major General Winsters, using two Airborne Divisions and an Armored Division, has over the last week captured a huge swath of land for the McClellen. Enraged by the direct disregard of her order, she immediately sent for Field General Alexander Peters, commander of Colonial Security.

"What the hell is going on, General. This operation has been going on for a week and I've heard nothing of it? Am I facing a military coup here?" Dr. Fendry yelled at the General.

"No, m'am. You are in control. I was given direct orders from the Defense Ministry to expand our holdings here in McClellen." Peters said in a restrained tone.

"Goddamn it General. Just go." Fendry said while shaking her head.

After the General left, Dr. Fendry drafted a communique to send the TIOR.

OOC: Wow...it's only been up for 14 hours and already it's an eight-page, 100+ response thread. Caught me off-guard, but I think it's great.

Anyway, the official map (this information is all OOC):

If anyone wants to make it look nicer, be my guest. I only have crappy "Paint" on my computer. These are the guidelines (for the map and for this RP itself):

1) The blue is water, the red are moutain ranges. In the south-central region (in between the moutains and the river) are native people, as well as in the north-west corner (right around the large moutain. I figure it could be some native landmark). RP with them any way you like. There can be more rivers and small lakes, but they're too small to be shown here.

2) The continent is five times the size of Eurasia and Africa combined (a note on the river: it's not actually that big according to scale, but I had to find some way of pointing out the major river on the continent). This way I can accomodate everyone who wants a large colony.

3) As far as timelines go, it doesn't bother me how far an individual nation has progressed as long as a) the claim doesn't grow exponentially the matter of RL days and b) other nations that don't want to be tied to it are not tied to it.

4) If anyone wants to re-create the map, you can re-create it in magnified sections just to focus on your immediate area. Just remember where everything else is.

I agree that we must have an immediate conference between our two colonies. I would like to invite you, or a representative of yours, to McClellen City. If you desire us to come to you, I am willing to send the Lieutenant Governor to meet with you.

Your forces within our colony will not be harmed, military groups will be asked to leave McClellen Colony; civilian groups can stay in the Colony as long as they are unarmed.

OOC: It would take a very long time for you to reach McClellen City by ground. Very long.

Governor Resta, I may suggest that you travel by plane. McClellen Colony already has a small civilian colonial airline that can bring you to McClellen City.

We will send a plane, a Gulfstream V, to pick you up and bring you to the city.

The Humvee starts speeding back towards the Colony. They end up at the Airfield. The Governor checks his pocket for his Colt .45, it was fully loaded, though he only had one magazine so no reloads. He started to type on his laptop. He rolls his eyes as a Rosian plane lands on the runway.

I'm at the Colonial Airport, it's near the shore. Pick me up then?

McClellen Air, Flight 202, landed at the Rosian Colonial Airport to pick up Governor Resta. As soon as the Governor and his few aides boarded the plane, it took off, bound of McClellen City.

"Governor," the plane's pilot said over the speaker, "we should arrive at McClellen City in a couple hours. Once we cross back into the Colony, we will be guarded by fighter planes."

"We must protect our assets, as I'm sure you know. And our desires are not large overall. We consider it an... expeditionary force."

At Vastivan Colony:

The eight soldiers get out of the Humvee. The gunners still watching out for intruders or enemies, the like. The Seargent walks up to the Lieutenant, but it's a different Seargent of course. The seven soldiers stayed behind, while the Seargent approached the Lieutenant with his G36 down and a Colt .45 on his belt.

Hmph. We came here to pick up a diplomat, where is he? The Seargent said in a deep Russian accent.

Inside the Plane:

The Governor and his two aides look outside the window, rolling his eyes. He yawns, looking inside the airplane. He raises his finger.

Is there anything to eat? He said in his English accent.

The President looked at the latest projection on the Manium continent. Hamptonshire was closing in on them as were New Nycton. Damn, this does not look good for us. At the current rates of expansion we are going to be left behind. Turning back to his attractive female advisor you spoke in a level voice that belied the implications of his actions.
“I want three more groups dispatched identical to the first, we are making three more colonies and staking claim to our land.” She eyed him warily but held her tongue. The arrival of nine more Noviet carrier groups would probably make some one edge but with his current tone of voice the President was not to be trifled with. Continuing he listed the specifics.
“The first task force will be made up of the President, the New Houston, and the Trebuchet. It will be outfitted with enough to make another colony on the east coast of the continent out side of our territory in the unclaimed area. The second task force will be comprised of the White Griffin, the Lucky Dragon and the Hercules. They’ll go up the river and into the inland sea to form a colony on the Eastern shore. They’ll also need to build an army base so we can project force in the area. The third and final group needs to be the Blade’s Edge, the Fortress of Poseidon and the Ragnorrak. They will also go to the inland sea and set up a colony on the west coast. Do I have any questions?”
“No sir.”

The mobilization was amazing. Supplies, people, armed forces. It was all quite a site. After three nights and two days the carrier groups were in position and the colonies were all being established at 600-1,000 people each. The armed forces base was also under construction with SAMs and a large military grade airfield going in. The Noviet forces base NFB Gagetown’s roster was at this point two thousand strong as choppers and supply planes began to bring up the entire infrastructure, although incomplete the base was declared open for business.

After the habitation of the two latest colonies was confirmed Noviet civillian news agencies began runing this map (see attatchement) released by the Nova Hope government.

"Governor, we have a selection of fresh fruit, cheeses, sandwiches, liquor, and soft drinks aboard." a Flight Attendant says while leaning toward the Governor. "We aren't that far from the City, what would you like?" shes asks.

Dr. Fendry is in her office with Field General Peters, Major General Winsters, and her Lieutenat Governor, Jason Albright.

"I don't want any crap from you General when the Governor arrives." Dr. Fendry says to Winsters. "I also want it completely clear that I am in control here. I don't give a damn what the Defense Ministry has told you, the Grand Duke himself appointed me and gave me authority over the military here. If you don't like it, go back to Hamptonshire." she says to both Generals before returning to her chair behind her desk.

Once Dr. Fendry sits, General Winsters begins to speak but is immediately cut off by Field General Peters. "Of course, ma'am. Once the Rosian Governor arrives, we will speak only when spoken to."

"Thank you General Peters for listening to me." Fendry says while giving a very cold stare to General Winsters.

"The Governor should be landing very shortly." Lt. Gov. Albright says.

All four get back to work, looking over documents and reports.

OOC: Well I didn't mean to land in your claimed area as your post didn't come in until I posted (I didn't refresh before posting.) but I'm going to leave it that way to raise incharacter tension. Something we will have to negotiate around.

OOC Alright, in ONE DAY this reached brand new levels of not only obvious godmoddery, but the timeline is so far skewed as to make things utterly ridiculous.

LAST NIGHT - I have a common mid-ground to Nova Hope and Nycton on the other side with a Mountain Range between me and Nycton. I OCCUPIED said mountain range with eight regiments of mountaineer troops, supported by artillery and air.

THEREFORE - as y'all have decided to massively screw the timeline, as of right now (+1 month)

Land Mass owned : 9200 square miles.

Border #1 - common mountain range with Nycton.
Border #2 - Island of Rose caps me at a native village.
Border #3 - NovaHope and I closed the middle ground between us in a 50/50 split.
Border #4 - seashore with harbor installation

Therefore, the colony cannot expand any further, and ceases land grabbery from that colonial site

Overflights will be met with attack planes and/or copters, there's a carrier group in support a tad aways in the ocean with a second group set to cover that group, and the ground military is at high alert - this is an expeditionary force with significant firepower.

GodMod attacks will be ignored.

IN ORDER TO GET TO THE VASTIVA COLONY you must either :
(a) overfly Nycton airspace.
(b) overfly Nova Hope airspace
(c) overfly Island of Rose airspace
(d) be one of those three colonies
(e) come in from sea and be known by the fleet there.

With Major General Winsters gone, Rear Admiral Paxton spearheaded an seaborne military colonization. A force of 30,000 Royal Marines and 45,000 Royal Army Infantry troops siezed new swaths of land far to the south of the main colony.

Yet another direct order from the Defense Ministry.

It's not farfetched at all. Just look at how many people the US moved from bases around the world to Kuwait in both Gulf Wars. It is entirely possible. In addition, my recent claims are not done my civilians but by the military, so there is added speed and mobility there.

Vastivan claim absorbs any natives who are "fleeing oppression" as citizenry, but will not go outside its borders to do anything about natives.

I don't think that's what he was doing. What is colored by Hamptonshire are the lands that are under it's control. The main colony is under the control of civilians and the two smaller southern colonies are occupied by the military.

OOC: Okay, here's what I've decided: from here on in, the MAXIMUM anyone can gain in a RL day is the equivalent of 1225 pixels (35x35 square) of unclaimed land. I've also decided that the map I've uploaded is the official one, and the outlines are the new claims.

OOC at this point, stick me next to Nova Hope, and I'm happy. Borders should be touching, and I'd like a mountain range on the other side.

Airmarshal Drakov also released a video to the world: "The canal known as the Donathon Canal is now closed to all nations except Nova Hope. All other nations that will try to float a ship through the mouths will be stopped and the ship and crew will be searched, captured, and treated as a VIP Prisoner(Gets a 1300 calorie diet meal 3 times a day, unlimited water, activities with eachother, kind of like a United States State Prisonor. If the ship does not stop and surrender to the jurisdiction of Nycton, they will be fired on with hesitation by 460 mm Artillery Battery's guarding the banks, and anti-ship missiles.

The Rosians started to build a dock, where? That huge giant lake near the "Hammie Bulge" as the Rosian called it. The explanation planned? Fishing dock, food for the Rosians. Workers went off to work, it'd be done in a few weeks, security was strangely high, was this a normal dock? Who knows. Right now a communique was sent to the Hamptonshire. By who, the Governor is away, by the First Helper of course....

The land has not been official name and as such its working title will be 'New Water Cooler'. It is expected that a formal name shall be announced shortly.

Heliborne troops dispersed all over the mountain range and onto the other side, adding a good space of territory and annexing the range in total.

After some discussion, movement was straight southward, ignoring the eastern coast - let our neighbors have it.

The colony of Sisu Arshu now sat firmly in a niche in the mountains near it's midpoint (eastern face), with the Port Karii reinforced at the foot of the range. At it's easternmost, a trading town was established - Trada Vitiri - touching the McClellan claim's southern point. But emissaries made it quite clear - they would gladly split this "foot" evenly, with the McClellans taking the eastern portion while Vastiva held the west to the southern beach. Land was cleared, crops laid in, and people invited to make homesteads in what land they would - Vastiva was quite finished with expansion, and was going on with the business of settling.

OOC - line should go from the straight part of the mountains in the north, diagonally to touch the southern end of the mountains. Then draw a line straight down from the last "a" in Vastiva to the southern coast, and that's all folks.

Okay, my RP:

IC: Days after the discovery, Romans flocked to the new colony, looking for ways to escape the heavy tax burdens back home. An expedition was sent back to the continent, now dubbed "Manium" because the identifying mark of the discovery point resembled a hand, to found a new colony.

The Romans proceeded to go up a river to search for a perfect spot. Eventually, they proceeded to sail right through the river and up the western coast of the lake, going for a while before finding the right spot. At that spot, they founded the eventual capital of the new colony, which they christened "Caesaria-Manium".

In the months that passed, the Romans would set up more expeditions and expand from their initial territory. In this time, they would also come into contact with the native peoples of the continent, and would set up alliances with them. The new colony would eventually come to be run by both the natives and the Romans, with the hope that one day it may actually become an independent ally of Rome.

Rome, PLEASE use the map i just posted, i prettied everything up and took some stuff that shouldn't belong. Yours shouldn't be posted, it's kinda obsolete :o.

Mine is what it should be, the negotiated lands of me and Hamptonshire, the lands Afrika Corps rp'd about 6 hours ago which he is being cheated out of, made everything more clear and easier to comprehend deleting dots and sploches that shouldn't be there, the green by the mountian's/lake. Theres my list that I have already done. Thats my point why I should be using the one i just posted.

Nycton - Mountain Range south of your colony of Donathatopia on the central "bump", which looks like a C on it's side. The mountain range encompassed by Vastivan troops is entirely Vastivan territory.

Pact accepted, Vastivan 4th Fleet has received orders to defend your colony of Donathatopia if called upon. Current location is southerly of your colony. Will inform of ANY ships approaching your colonial claims from that vector but will not intervene unless called upon to do so. (OOC - fleet is playing watchdog, high alert status with air recon) Please note our shore patrol frigates will be in the area and do not fire on same.

Zaktar: another point: your colony must start with an area of roughly 1225 pixels on the map, which is also the maximum it can grow in a RL day. The rough area (shown as both a square and a rectangle, but it can be any shape you wish) is outlined on the map attached. EDIT- The map attached is NOT an official map: it just to provide an example of how large the maximum allowable gain/colony start-up area is.

Another note: I'm going to be offline until Friday night, at which point I'll come back and see how everything is going. I trust that you guys will be able to follow the guidelines, so I'm not worried. So far so good...I'm impressed.

OOC I've given my expansion plans already, and how it should look. Can someone place the cities and trading posts I've mentioned? I'll correct if necessary when I see.

Now,the main civilian structures in Loren were complete,such as the fields of farms and basic housing and such things.Their main goal now was to build the military in Loren,with airfields for planes to land in and military harbors for ships.

Mohammed Mozul was surveying the land as the sun began to set yet again.He was writing down notes...on a map,apparently.Quickly,his pencil marked every area which interested him and when he finished,he quickly set down his pencil and picked up a radio and used it to send a message,somwhere...

The very next day,during another colonial council meeting,Admiral Chece threw down a large stack of papers and furiously shouted,"These foreign devils will not learn!They´ve already attacked us here-"He yelled,pointing at a nearby map."along the outskirts of our colony,in the village of Ikya!"

"Perhaps,it was a native attack on us?They decided to communicate first,perhaps,as none of the missionary groups have reported seeing any natives."Mozul suggested.

"Impossible.These were planes,bombers and fighters.We didn´t see their model or allegiance,as it was in the dead of night.But we shall investigate this."

The council was dismissed and the message was sent to the supreme council,with Mozul smiling to himself as he walked away.The plan was beginning marvelously...

Whilst the colonies of foreign powers worked away at expanding and jostled each other for space, Neo Praetonia was busy strengthening defences and making one small expansion.

Another fleet and Imperial Guard Division has arrived, but this time they did not reinforce defences in the colony but secured the thin stretch of land joining the South Western land mass to the rest of the continent. The Imperial Guard are racing to secure a frontier and as soon as it is complete the Imperial Gaurd Divisions inside Neo Praetonia will reinitiate full scale expansion efforts to join up with the frontier claim.

OOC: Sorry man, but I feel the need to screw someone over.

It was time to expand again, where to? To the west, more like northwest. Just enough to stop the Red Tide expansion. They didn't want any Colony getting too powerful, this was an opportunity to do so. They would flank the Red Tide colony by the right, not allowing it to expand, they only way they could expand though is by sea. But then they'd be seperated, a blockade could be made to starve the Red Tide Colony, maybe take them out. Anyway, it was time to expand. Forces were being sent, more of a show of force. RB-1s(F-22s) would go along the border for ground cover, but not passing the boundery. It was all supposed to be coordinated, let's see what would happen... time to cut off another colony.

We consider this fair recompense for the intervening area which was not properly accounted for by our mapmakers. Note - 5th has orders to inform, but will take no actions.

((Wow - that's huge! And is it just me, or is the map being slowly degraded after countless saves in paint with crappy jpeg compression. I suggest that we start using .png (If you have XP), Paint seems to be able to handle that better. I would hate to see the map made unusable, because of problems with paint.))
