Exit polls, and tradition. There's basically no way some candidates win some states. It's a given.

Tradition great.

And I understand exit polls and other poll results but to call it straight away the moment the polls have closed? Especially the close states I don't understand that, while some they have left open a lot of the close ones they already had picked one.

And I know some states will always go to one or the other always and doesn't need to be voted, so why didn't they just call that straight away and place it on the list why bother waiting till the very moment the polls have closed?

without Ohio and PA? Essentially zero. Keep in mind that Ohio is what stopped Kerry from winning. So even if, even if Obama doesn't pick up ONE SINGLE RED STATE, he still wins.

The only states that he MIGHT have lost that Kerry won were PA and NH, and he won them already. Even if Iowa and New Mexico, perspective pickups, stay red...not enough.

Kerry states + Ohio = win.

They can't call before polls close because it may influence voters within that state.

Most networks have learned to be a bit more conservative with battleground states than calling based off exit polls alone.

pretty much. He's at 207 now. Add California and he's at 262. Give him a lock in Washington and he's won at 277. Continue with Oregon and Hawaii and he's at 288. So he's sitting at a MINIMUM 288 right now

Then it's just a matter of finding out about Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, Indiana, Colorado, Missouri, and Nevada.

From OED:
1. a. One who advocates or believes in the theory of socialism; an adherent or supporter of socialism.

Socialism, also from OED
1. A theory or policy of social organization which aims at or advocates the ownership and control of the means of production, capital, land, property, etc., by the community as a whole, and their administration or distribution in the interests of all.
Freq. with initial capital.

No, he's taking IN and likely NC. Don't give up. The big counties are still counting.

There's only two counties left in NC that isn't reporting.

Mecklenburg County (Charlotte) went to Obama
Wake County (Raleigh) went to Obama
So did Forstyh County, however McCain has a 10,331 vote lead over Obama.

Why would you try to discourage him?

In somewhat relevant discussion...back in 2000 and 2004, they made maps that adjusted the US for population...like this:

1) in executive powers, perhaps. However, he has run a national campaign, which is, oddly enough, a position of being an executive. experience. Bam.
2) Prove it. Prove that his tax policy is against this so-called American Dream. You may want to start by defining the American Dream in a way that all Americans can agree. Good luck.
3) The Middle East is unstable already. Afghanistan is under significant influence from the Taliban, Iraq from various groups, and Israel still isn't secure with anyone but Egypt and Jordan.
4) Bitch, please.

It's looking very bad for gay rights on all fronts... though no results from CA yet (obviously, because polls haven't yet closed there.)

Admittedly, the only one in contest was FL's amendment, because of the 60% requirement, but still.

Edit: And it's looking very good for reproductive choice in SD.

They can't call before polls close because it may influence voters within that state.

Most networks have learned to be a bit more conservative with battleground states than calling based off exit polls alone.

Yeah fair enough.

Different channels have called different EVs.

OK, I've had it with you.

My theory is that: [return]
1) Obama is inexperienced, which is bad for our current situation; [return]
2) he has something against the "American dream" (his tax policy and all); [return]
3) his plan for Iraq would collapse the stability in the middle east which we worked so hard to build up; [HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Sorry, I couldn't supress that one.] [return]
4) talking to crazed extremists doesn't get anything done.
