Yes and no. Some of Ju's people were sniffing around. Could mean some playtime for us in the near future. The only downside.. their numbers will be their only interesting factor, I think. They spooked at the sight of Orchid's pet, and when I made an appearance, they ran like men possessed.

ic: She stepped through the doorway, white hair plastered to her head by the rain, small child cradled soggily and tiredly on her hip. The black trenchcoat clinging at the wrists and collar swept down, carrying rivers of rainwater with each fold.

Noire awkwardly halted in the doorway, and uncomfortably shifting little Seth around in her arms, hung the wet and dripping coat on the hook with accompanying clinks and clangs. Her clothes beneath the coat were completely dry, and she kicked off her boots by the door as well before padding over to the sofa and gently placing the little boy onto it in an attempt not to wake him.

Trevor burst in through the back door, shutting it quickly behind him, and stood dripping for a moment before looking up at the room through blue hair plastered over his eyes.
"My meteorology skills have fallen short of adequate," he remarked to no one in particular.

She jerked around, surprised by the loud noise behind her. Eying the newcomer for a moment, she nodded a little brusquely in acknowledgment of his entrance and drew an afghan from the back of the sofa to cover sleeping Seth. Stepping away from the fireplace, she brushed her still-wet hair out of her eyes. "That can happen on occasion."

Reaching the bar, she dropped onto a bar stool, and leaning on the counter, allowed dark flames to wind their way around her fingertips. A vodka bottle rose from the fire, and she took a sip.

He smiled widely at her response. "Indeed."

He stripped off his wet jacket and hung it on the wall next to her coat. He walked over to the bar and fiddling around for a moment, started a pot of coffee. As he turned, he saw the woman standing at the bar with a bottle of vodka. He thought he saw something flicker around the bottle. hmm

Thunder crashed somewhere past the windowpane and she turned a little to watch lightning flirt with the waves. Gesturing with the hand holding the vodka bottle, replied, "You might want to dry off a bit," before downing another bit of the liquid.

He nodded in Ju's direction. "Hello again."

Inwardly, his mind went off on another track, and he wandered off to get a towel for himself, mumbling vaguely in reply to Noire.

Noire, he thought. I've heard that name before, the vodka bottle, it all fits.

Still thinking furiously to himself, he wandered back, towelling himself off and poured a cup off coffee. I wonder if she's recognized me as well.

"Hey, Ju!" She tossed him a tired grin. "How's it going?"

She grinned again at that, and finished off the vodka before touching a fingertip to the bottle and watching it burn down into nothingness. "Me too, Ju... me too."

Her hair was virtually dry at this point, eyes faintly echoing a pale, blue light.

Trevor sipped at his coffee, burning his tongue slightly, but buying time to finish choosing his words. When he did speak it was quiet, and carefully, neutrally pitched.

"It's been quite a while, hasn't it Noire."

He turned too look directly at her, surer ever second that she was who he thought.

"How many years?"

She caught his eye for a moment. "I'm going to give a guess... and say about ten years. Maybe eight or nine."

Returning her eyes to her hand, she allowed flames to slip across it before taking a sip from a second vodka bottle. Noire glanced back up at him. "Would you say about the same?"

He nodded, "Something close to that."
He took another, more careful sip of coffee.
"I didn't expect to see you again, but knowing this place's reputation, I can't say I'm surprised to find you here. Seems to suit you perfectly."

She chuckled a little cautiously. "Can't say I expected to see you again either. But I must say it's not a terrible surprise. You reminded me of some things; I haven't seen anyone from those parts in ages.

Either way..." Noire stood. "I should be heading off to sleep, myself. We can catch up tomorrow, I hope?"

He sauntered jauntily down the stairs, masked expression perpetually fixed in a confusion of joy and sadness. The cloak swept behind him.

How cliche I look. A jovial chuckle rose in his throat. I love it. Everyone underrates the cliche man who speaks in riddles. He's all talk and no show, and that's what I am, but people don't realize the power of words.

He cracked a smile at the irony, and entered the club at the foot of the stairs.

*The man with the mask entered the bar, making Orchid feel somehow uneasy.
The baby wakes and she wanders into the kitchen to get his bottle, then returns to her seat and begins to feed him.*

*Gael growled softly sensing someone's approach, but when the man in the mask appeared, she eased off a bit. She stalked behind the bar, eyeing him.*

He tipped his hat gaily to both of the women, then proceeded to the bar, cheerfully ignoring the eyes trained on his back. He pulled a bottle of whiskey from beneath the counter and proceeded to lounge against the wall at the end of the counter, toying with the bottle's lid. It snapped open with a distinct 'pop', and he screwed the lid back on.

*She growled silently again, pouring herself a small glass of rum.*

He nodded towards her, allowing a grin to break beneath the plastic of his face. "To say the least. I've been... getting some things done. How've you been?"

Dom nudged the bottle beneath the mask and downed half of it. "Ah. That's some good liquor, right there. Haven't had any in far too long."

It becomes more solid and takes on the form of a small girl.
She is about 2feet 6 tall, has long green hair, green tinged diaphanous wings and large blue eyes with a mischievous twinkle.
