Pat stood in front of the barman, one hand on the bar, the other holding his wifes arm.

"Excuse me Sir, I know that I am not a regular here, but could you please just answer my question, and then my wife and myself can make the appropriate arrangements.
Is food served in the cabanas?"

Raven walked back out of the kitchen with a glass of milk and looked out the windows

IC: Sorry, I missed the question, yes, food can be served at the cabanas, or here. you can place your order over the phone and we'll take it out to you.

also, each cabana is equippted with a small kitchen, suitable for cooking your own meals.

Raven walked out side and sat on the beach to watch the sun rise as she sipped her tea.

Pat and his secretary had finished their meal, which was exceptionally delicious they had both agreed.
June was feeling sleepy, so Pat agreed to leave her in the cabana for a while, and having changed into a pair of beige chinos and a jade polo shirt, he strolled into the bar.

The barman was as usual not in sight, so he helped himself to a bottle of Paddy's, and feeling somewhat indulgent he sat down at the bar and poured a glassful of the liquor instead of the usual three fingers.

He drew out a silver cigarette case from his hip pocket. When he had removed one of the white sticks he snapped the case closed and placed it on the counter beside his glass.
There was a dish with some book-matches nearby so he helped himself and lit his smoke inhaling deeply, then drank the liquor and blew the smoke from his nostrils taking great pleasure in both of the actions.

When it became apparent that there was not going to be any of the regulars visiting the bar for some time, Pat poured himself another glass of the liquor and downed it then started to search through the place thoroughly.
Disappointingly bereft of anything of any significance, the newness of the furnishings didn't even offer up any small coins or buttons and certainly no children's crayons.
Behind the bar there were no bottles of viscous red liquids in the chiller cabinets, as far as he could tell the place was clean.
Just as he gave up searching, on the floor at the bottom of the stairs, he found a single black feather which he picked up and slipped into a plastic bag he happened to have on him and slid it into his pocket.
He took his seat at the bar once more and re-filled his glass.

Raven slowly made her way down the stairs and sliped behind the bar and started to fix her self some tea

curious. and slightly suspicious.

*vaga smirked as he watched the man's poking about through the window. he crossed his arms and started walking down the beach*

His mind went back about thirty years.

The two boys dressed in dirty shorts and boots that let in the rain, sitting huddled together under the back porch while their father broke yet another chair against the wall and yelled out for someone to fetch him another goddam drink.
The rotting dead rat nearby almost making them come out of hiding, but knowing that if they did one or other of them would get another beating, so in the end they stayed through the night, almost freezing stiff, until they could hear the loud snores coming from above, when they stiffly crawled out and into the relative warmth of their bed, knowing that it would be at least a whole day before they had to face their fathers drunken fury once more.

He could almost smell that dead rat, and lit up another smoke, downing yet another whiskey before coming out of his reverie.

"Yes Ma'am, I know about long nights.
But I'm pleased that you are keeping well."

"Well Ma'am it has been a pleasure talking to you, but my wife will be wondering what has become of me, so if you will excuse me."

He touched his forehead and nodded, then picking up the bottle he stood to leave.
As he walked through the door, he turned around to look at the girl once more and shook his head.
He strode towards the cabana he was sharing with June, wondering what would become of the girl, but as he opened the door to the cabana he found he had another problem, how to get over the next couple of nights sharing with June.
It wasn't as though she was unattractive, quite the opposite in fact.
It wasn't as though she was unresponsive, because she wasn't.
But he had known her for six years, she was his secretary for gods sake.
Yet there she was, curled up on the bed looking younger than her thirty four years, looking somehow infantile and innocent in sleep.
He felt a familiar stirring in the depth of his being and angrily threw a blanket over her and sat in the chair with the full intention of drinking the whole bottle and reaching oblivion.

*Gael stood atop the cliffs, staring out at the blackness of the sea. A light breeze carried the clean scent of the ocean. But she saw something else entirely. An old memory of far busier, and far sadder times.*

*as he wandered farther away from the club, the moon began to come behind the cliffs. he caught sight of a sihouetted figure on of one of them. vaga smirked to himself*

*She looked up suddenly, on edge, certain she had heard something. It was more a subtle sound than anything definitive, but enough to draw her from the reverie. She looked about her, but saw nothing moving save a lone figure on the beach. Unwinding somewhat, she gave herself to the calmness of her surroundings, knowing full well the memories would eventually return.*

*eventually he came to the point where the beach came to an end and the cliffs jutted straight up in front of him. he stretched his wing, gave a good flap and took to the air. a moment later he lighted quietly on the top, about 50 feet behind gael had lost herself in thought*

*Warriors all, their swords flashed in the golden light of dawn. Bards looked on from the grove while their druid brothers chanted to the beat of their bodhrans. Some had shed their harps for shining steel.. It was the same battle over and over. Only the weapons and the clothing ever changed.*

*At the edge of her consciousness she felt someone nearby. Opening her eyes, she half glanced over her shoulder.*

Raven woke to the sound of crying,she crawled out of bed and walked over to the bassionet she gantly picked them up and sat in the rocking chair till they quieted. she got them ready for the day then carryed them down stairs and sat out on the steps leading up to the club, watching as the sun rose

well, mai told me where, and so I had nova scout the area... after I got mai to sleep, he showed me where, I contacted the authorities and after they got the evidence, proceeded to bury the bodies...

then I snooped around to see if I could find any clues... but nada... :(

Legato snaked a hand to the back of her neck and took a fistful of her hair. He tugged, forcing her to look at him as he crouched before her.

Legato grinned darkly. Tightening his grip in her hair, he moved her head up and flicked a small knife flush against her throat. His gaze hardened, extending his control to her movement.

Smiling darkly he kissed her. Bringing the blade up, he dragged the edge of it slowly down her cheek. Pulling away suddenly, he stood and left her there on the beach, only releasing his control once he was out of sight.

Squorn wandered slowly up the beach, humming softly to himself. He quickened his pace a little when he saw a figure lying prone in the sand, and was soon kneeling at Gael's side.

"What happened?"

*She sighed and pushed herself up to her knees.*
