she looked over at him making sure that he was going to be ok with that

i wont turn if thats what you're worried about. i'm not really human after all.

*he craned his neck to the side*

"i know...." blushing slightly Raven slid in to his lap so that she was stradleing him. Carfuly she ran a finger and over his artery she paused closing her eyes as she muttered a "sorry" and bit in to his neck not taking time to be kind about the act, she sighed softly and drank, her nails gently scrached at his shoulders as if she were a content cat

*a sharp pinch, then the draining sensation. the pain mixed with the raw pleasure of it. he grinned darkly and gently pressed a hand against the back of her held, holding her against him as she drank. raven was fully distracted by her meal, otherwise she would have seen the small black haze that was eminating from his spine. small tendrils grew out and proped at raven, but they all stopped a few inches from her skin. they held there for a moment, then retracted back into the haze, which in turn retracted back into his body*

she drank till she could felt his blood slow to a crawl, unwillingly she pulled away and lay her head on his shoulder eyes closed as she waited for her consentration to break. it had beeen to long since she had had a proper meal and it was a test of her will to not drain him compleatly, the hand at her back provided some comfort as she waited to slowly come back to the deluseion of normality.

*his mind began to become clouded, giving him a medicine-head feeling. he sighed and let his eyes rolly back down and open. a small smirk crossed his face*

there now. that should help some.

she quitey remained where she was for a few moments longer her eyes slowly blinking open she lifeted her head and winced slightly when she saw the bite mark,"sorry about that" she whisped grogglely, she waited a a moment or two longer to check that she was awake befor sliding out of his lap slowly licking her lips again."thank you...you didn't have to do that"

as i've said. i've gotten worse from worse.

*he rolled head back, popping a vertibre or two*

but, i tell you what. you can repay me by bringing me that bottle over there.

*he nodded back at the blood wine sitting on the bar*

ooc : not a problem. jolt isnt exactly being friendly tonight.

Raven nodded with a slight smile and brought him the bottle and a fresh glass befor returing to her seat. she licked her lips again slightly preturbed befor turning to him," may i ask you a question?"

*he forwent the glass and took a drink straight from the bottle. then he turned back to her*

" i know this is an odd question" she paused," but while i was..eating.....did you.. i guess think would be the best way to put it, did you think differatly than you had been then switch back?"
she watched him carefuly to see if he would understand the question

*he pondered how best to answer the question for a moment*

i had wondered if you would be able to sense that. and yes, in a manor of speaking, i did.

she wached him as he though and then spoke she turned away and wached the fire.
" your flavor changed..."

oh? i didn't go bitter did i?

*he smirked slightly and took another pull from the bottle*

" i've never told any one how they tast, i am not starting with you"

of course. i meant no offense. just a bad joke.

she nodded, " i know you didnt.......sorry i snaped"

*he took another drink from the bottle and looked out the bay window*

i should probably get some rest. my healing rate isn't as high as it once was.

Raven nodded and smiled," i understand....um.....i have one request..."

*he finished off the bottle in one long gulp, leaned back a bit and smiled*

" dont let me drink your blood again" she blushed and looked away
" or if you do pleased watch your 'thoughts'....."

*he smirked and stood*

alright, i won't. provided you see to it that you get yourself a decent meal more often than you have been. mother or not, you still need to feed.

*he tossed the spent bottle into a nearby waste bin and walked towards the stairs*

"i'll do my best......night Vaga"
she wraped her self up in a blanket and settled into the couch absent mindedly licking her lips,that will not be some thing easly forgotten... she smirked slightly wondering if he had under stood what she had ment but she shrugged it away and watched the fire

*Will felt like a virtual stranger when he entered the club. After the tsunami, he had built himself a snug cabin in the forested crag of rock where he had been using his telescope and had started living up there full time. Despite its new, spacious, and shiny appearance there was an unwholesomeness that permeated the place. On his last few visits he noticed even the wraiths and undead seemed to be a bit unsettled and nervous. He poured himself an ale and positioned himself by an open window where he could see anyone coming into the barroom--either from the club or from the outside.*

Raven walked down stairs and walked out side she lay down in one of the hammocks with her kids and wached the waves come and go

*Gael walked idly down the beach, feeling restless again. She was frustrated, as the agitation seemed to come without cause and without a means of outlet.*

Raven looked up the beach and noticed Geal walking lost in thinght not wanting to bother her she turned back to watching the water

*he wandered down the stiars. the club was empty. he unwrapped the gause from his wrist and neck. both wounds had closed and had begun to heal, but both the thin line and the two puncure wounds where still fairly noticable. he tossed the soiled bandages in the trash, got himself a bottle of rum and walked outside*

*She touched her face, tracing the thin cut. It was essentially healed, but she could still feel the impression. Turning to pace the other way, she caught sight of both Raven and Vaga, but gave neither more than a passing glance.*

*raven looked content with her kids on the hamock and gael was pacing on the beach. he quirked a brow at gael, and started walking down the beach*

ooc: Quick flight outting to Walmart... back in a bit

Raven smiled softly as she picked up her sleeping kids and carried them to her room after tucking them in she returned to the bar and made her self a smoothy

ooc: Sorry.. quick outting turned into a lengthy traditional Egyptian meal with the foreign officers, which of course turned into good conversation. Mostly Egyptians, with a few other Arab countries represented. That was one of the coolest things.

*Frustrated, Gael quit her pacing of the beach and wandered off into the trees. Before long, she found what she was looking for - subtle clues which led off in a trail. Quietly, she followed.*

*his curiosity peaked as gael wondered off with a look of determination. he followed at a distance, keeping to the shadows. the dampening feild would be able to keep her from being able to sense who was following or where, but he knew that she'd probably pick up on his presence*

*Near silent, she stalked through the trees. The ground eventually gave way from a sandy composure to actual grass. She paused when the trees gave way to a small clearing. Across, comfortably grazing in the tall grass and underbrush, was a wild boar. She crouched, drawing in her wings and focusing all her senses on the quarry.*

*he paused just behind the tree line as gael stalked forward. it had been awhile sense he had seen her in action. he leaned against a nearby tree and watched*

Smiling Raven steped out of her room latching the door behind her she quietly walked down stairs and paused looking at her reflection in the window . her long black hair was curled and pinned up, the black dress that she wore set her off, it had an open back and a slit all the way up her leg a pair of black stilletos added a few inches to her hight. she smiled laughing softly and steped out the door

*She drew her energy in, allowing it to build until the opportune moment. While the pig rooted through the detritus, it turned its back slightly. She seized the oppotunity to explode forward, barefoot and surefooted in the damp earth. And with the attack, she snarled, giving the boar just enough of a fair warning. The hunt wouldn't be truly fulfilling without a chase. Starting with a jump at the sudden sound, the pig squealed and darted off through the brush. Grinning, she lept forward in a low glide.*

poor thing never stood a chance.

*he smirked to himself and plucked a leaf from a low hanging ranch. the leaf imidiatly withered, turned black, then began to fall apart. he dropped it and, as the light breeze caught it, it disintegrated into a tiny cloud of dust and blew away*

*There was that feeling again.. it distracted her momentarily as she glanced back. Recovering, she dodged a branch quickly, and weaved expertly between the trees. Catching up with the pig, she lashed out with her talons, ripping into the skin behind its head, and landing. There was a scuffle of claw, hoof, fang and tusk, but at last, Gael stood victorious. She panted from the effort, electrified by the thrill of it. A wide grin spilt her face to rival the devil's own. Not bothering to clean up the blood, she took hold of its back legs and began dragging the thing back towards the beach.*

*he walked into the clearing as gael exited. crossed to the sight of the kill and knelt down*

so much life. even in death there is new life.

*he traced a finger in the pool of blood, smeared it between his fingers, then flicked it clear. the droplets landed on a tree. a moment later a small bud appeared where each landed in the bark*

the new life, in turn, causes death. it is the cycle of the world. death causing death. yet somehow life prospers.

*he sighed and stood up again. as he headed back towards the beach after gael, the buds on the tree began to produce a faint purple around them*

*She stopped and looked back sharply. Twice in one night? The energy disturbances were too much to be coincidence.*

*several minutes passed. finally he stepped through the treeline and back onto the beach. Gael had paused a little ways ahead of him. he grinned darkly and contenued forward*

good evening gael.

Raven quicky arrived in town and befor long she found a suitible though quite unaware provider. after some time she want with him to his house. laughing softly she gently nibbled at his neck unawar of what he was asking he said,"bite me" Raven obliged and befor long the mans eyes glazed over and he grew cold

she simply let her self out and after winding her way out of town she headed back down the beach

*Her look of wary suspicion turned to a devilish grin as Vaga came into view. The adrenaline from the hunt and subsequent kill was still running high, and the blood beginning to dry on her skin was a vivid reminder of the thrill.*

Hello, Vaga.

*as he crossed to her, he looked up at the night sky*

good night for a hunt.

*his gaze slowly sank back down to her, his eyes meeting hers again, the impish grin never leaving his face*

Indeed. And long overdue it was.

*She looked him dead in the eye, boldly. Adjusting her grip on the boar, she stepped backwards, slowly dragging it towards the club.*

*he quirked a brow and contenued towards her, at a slightly faster pace an she was retreating*

*She allowed him to catch her up, and stared up at him with the same strange half-grin. However she also continued her backwards motion.*

*he reached a hand behind her neck to stop her movement. he leaned in and kissed her full on*

she gave Vaga and Gael there space as she passed by and into the club sliping he shoes off she headed up to her room and ran a hot bath befor curling up with her kids and thinking as she watched them sleep.

*She stepped into him, and allowed the kiss to linger for a moment. Grinning once more, she pulled back and ducked under his grip, twisting around backwards to dash off. Hopefully Ju would find the pig and realize it was a gift of sorts before someone else found and disposed of the carcass.*

*she twisted out of his grip and started off. he smirked, ran a hand across his lips, and started stalking after her, drawing one of his daggers from his coat*

let the hunt begin.

*She dashed lightly across the sand, disappearing behind a corner of the building. Spreading her wings, she jumped up, pushing off the side of the building to land not on the roof, but on the branch of a tree. Silent as possible, she lept from branch to branch, traveling almost on all fours.*

*he stalked slowly forwards, eyes closed. the etheral black cloud began to appear around him as he hunted on instinct. after a moment his eyes opened and the gold glimmer in his pupils returned. his pace quickened as he fell into gael's footsteps*

*After a short time, she lept from another branch into empty space, spreading her wings for a fast glide through the trees and reaching branches. Nimbly, she maneuvered between the hazards, twisting her wings and body in the effort. Coming to a rocky ridge, she caught the edge with her talons, and swung herself to the other side, climbing down into a tight crevice between two rocks.*

*a moment later, he stood on the roof of the club. he jumped off and took to the air. down below in the shaded foliage small patches of leaves fell from their branches. he halted his flight and hovered over the forest about 50 feet. he looked around at the surrounding landscape. the forest, though large, had too many things that could give away ones position; birds, leaves, broken twigs. the field was too open. skilled as she was, no manor of stealth could hide an adult in the grassy meadows. he turned his attention to the rocky outcroppings and cliffs. he smirked to himself and returned to the ground atop one of the outcroppings. a small amound of sand and pepples trickeled down off the edge. he closed his eyes, rolled his head back and took in a few deep breaths*

*Silently, slowly, she edge further down the crevice to a position out of immediate arm's reach for the time being.*

*he kept his eyes closed and walked slowly along the ridge. intimacy, it seems, had become one of his allies in this hunt. a little ways farther down he stopped and opened his eyes. he looked down over the ledge and smirked. he bent over, picked up a rock and threw it down at a patch of the ledge a few feet to the left and down*

*She heard the stone land somewhere nearby, and remained perfectly still.*

*he waited a moment, but nothing moved. he wasn't suprised. the 'take to flight' instinct was a bit beneath her character. he pulled out his lighter, lit it, and fell foreward off the ledge, then began floating down the rock wall slowly*

The front doors to the club open slowy and a partialy decayed corpse walks in. The corpse is missing its right arm just above the elbow. it takes a breath and fills its rotten lungs with air the steps foward into the club. as it walked into the club the rotten flesh and organs began to fill out and become whole again with each step the corpes became more and more human. the missing right arm grew back and finaly it became whole the tattered and decayed suit it wore also became whole. the renewed corpse ran a now gloved hand through his very short hair then drew a pair of crimson tinted goggel sunglasses and put them on. he walked over to the bar and sat down.

Raven woke to the sound of crying, she sighed and yawned cracking her back as she hushed a crying child. she ran a hand through her hair and walked down to the bar to get some thing hot to drink. she passed the man seated at the bar with a slight nodd and walked into the kitched and over to the stove after turning the kettle on she looked thorugh the cubards for some tea.

The man looked at raven "what not even a hello to your husband Miss Raven?" Kriege ran a finger along his chin where a scar had been. the skin on his face was now smooth. all the many scars now gone. he grinned after her have you forgotten me that quickly?

Raven froze then slowly turned, she looked at the man for while then turned back to makeing her tea,"nothing more than a dream..slipping"she whispered to her self tremboling slightly.

Kriege walked up behind her and wraped his arms around her waist. "now why would you say that?" he kissed her cheek

" your dead"she shook her head fighting some thing inside," i saw you die."

"Have you forgotten what we are what I am? I am by far not normal even amungst our own kind" please look at me and believe me. he held her tighter but gently.

*he walked back into the club. what he saw before him gave him pause, if only a slight one*

well now, looks like someone clawed their way back out of hell.

sighing slightly she turned to face him then after some time reached up and pulled off his glasses she watched him carefuly for a long time befor closeing her eyes and resting her head against his chest as he held her

"Hello vaga." kriege didn't look around

Kriege smiled "Don't wory I'm not going to die any time soon."

ah. they still call me that do they.

*he sighed and shook his head*

how quickly the lessons of the past are lost.

*he waved to the pair and headed towards the bar*

Raven just nodded and wraped her arms around him," ...but you did...."

"I came back" he closed his eyes. "Whats happened in the three months Ive been 'gone'?"

well this should be fun.

*he excused himself from the room and walked back outside, bottle of rum in hand*

Raven pulled away and turned back to her tea"stay here.." she walked towards the stairs then paused and turned, " you ..may want ...to.to sit." with that she vanished up the stairs

Kriege nodded and sat down in a chair at one of the booths.

She came back a while later and took a seat and a deep breath keeping her eyes on the table in front of her
" well for one your....your a father"

kriege blinked in suprise "but you said you couldn't get...." he looked very confused but pleased at the same time.

raven just nodded," i know..."

"theres something your not telling me." he smiled at her. "Dont worry you can tell me."

Tenitivly she took his hand and walked up to her room carefuly opening the door she walked in side and over to her bed clicking on a small lamp. next to the small area of disturbed quilt lay two tiny babies wraped in blankets sleeping soundly

"Twins." he looked evenmore confused."how did you go from not beig able to hve kids to getting twins?" he smiled and kised each child on the fore head then kissed raven. "I wish I had been here for it."

she smiled softly
" not positive but we have a theory"
she sat on the bed smiling at her kids," i wish that you had been here too"

He sat besides her and wraped an arm around her "well lets hear your theory."

" it was a mental thing... we got married and some thing in my brain desided that it would be ok if i got pregnant"

"Hmm" he pulled her onto his lap and began to massage her sides gently. "I missed you."

Raven settled aganst him with a contened sigh," i missed you too"

*raven and his encounter a few days before gave them a bond, weak as it was, it was enough for him to be able to at least shallowly read her thoughts, and likewise for her to read his. he concentrated and sent her a mental message from the edge of the forest*

ah, but this is only half of the story my dear. surely he'd like to hear the rest.

Kriege could feel the small conection between raven and vag. oh well thats life. he leaned his head on ravens shoulder.

smiling she snuggled against kriege and kissed him lightly

crazed demon with a sea of lesser demons at his comand. but perhaps its best to introduce the poblem in small doses.

Kriege enjoyed the kiss and let the conversation run its course giving them full privacy and not trying to invade.

"the little girl is Gemma and the boy is Slade"

*he smirked to himslef, took a sip of the rum, and walked back into the woods, severing the link*

Krieges eyes snaped to the boy his eyes fillrd with a look almost like fury that passed quickly he turned his atention back to raven and held her close. Why did it have to be his name....but he is my son and I should treat him with the love a father should give. he smiled a name dosent make a person.

raven watched him carefuly," i wanted you to pick middle names, if you would like to"

"I have no right too." he kissed her tenderly "You choose."

she looked supprised," of corse you do your there father"

Kriege placed a hand on Slades head and said "Jerth" he the placed a hand on gemma's head and said "loena"

Raven smiled and gave him a quick kiss,"Jerth and Loena, i like that"

Kriege smiled and lifted her upin his arms he carried her into a diffrent room and set her down gently on a couch. "I Can't beleve I'm seeing you again." he ran a hand along the side of her face.

Raven giggled softly as he picked her up then set her down she smiled up at him
" i didnt think that i would see you again"

remaining kneeling in front of her he closed his evey and smiled. he layed his head in her lap and sighed. "I always knew I'd see you again."

she smiled and gently traced the side of his face
" thats not fair"

he playfuly bit her leg. "so what you going to do about it?"

" iam not sure i might have to bite you" she looked down at him and winked

Krige lifted his head up su that their eyes were level. "Come on then love." he tossed her side ways so that she was lie on the couch " now what?" he leand down and kissed her.

she laughed softly and pulled away looking up at him," then again maby i wont"

Your no fun" he sat beside her and made a mock hurt face.

" now now dont take it personely" she sat up and leaned over and kissed him slowly," i still love you"

and I still love you" he wraped his arms around her returning her kiss.

*When Vaga left, she had not trusted the opportunity to make a break for it. Instead, she had squeezed herself down into what seemed to be a shallow cave in the rocks. Here she passed the night, sleeping lightly. Now, she stretched her wings, working out the stiffness in the small space. Deciding to venture back out of the rocks, she began the short climb. Her claws found a groove in the stone, but something about it gave her pause. The shallow impression felt... unnatural somehow. Exploring the feature with her fingertips, it proved to be a spiral design etched into the rock. Her sharp eyesight could see in the relative darkness easily, and soon revealed to her that this etching was not a lone feature. The entire cave was covered with whorls and triple spirals.*

*it had been a little over a day since he had slept. it had been a long time since a hunt had gone all the way through the night. he squatted in the lower branches of a tree on the edge of the forest overlooking the ridge he had tracked gael to the previous night. time would tell if his instinct was right. he took a drink from the bottle which had previously housed rum, but now had water and resettled himself for another few hours*

*The scene was something almost otherwordly, and she suddenly felt as if she had stumbled upon something which demanded a great deal more respect than she had shown. Respect and purpose. Suddenly feeling very cold, she climbed up out of the little room. However she did not quit the crevice altogether. If Vaga was still out there, the light would now be on his side. She climbed quietly down range, squeezing and maneuvering her wings through narrow places in the rock. Finally, she came to a small ledge on the far side of the ridge. She lept forward, catching the breeze.*

*movement to his left caught his eye. he grinned and jumped out of the tree. he ran to the edge of the ridge and lept off, taking to the air after gael. she had a good sized head start, but he had her in his sights*

*She wheeled back sharply and dove, flying low and fast beneath an overhang which ran intermittantly along the length of the ridge. The ridge would lead eventually to the headlands where they rose and fell off in steep cliffs to the ocean below.*

*he kept the high road, choosing to keep up the pursuit from above. as she ducked and weeved through the obsitcles he would follow above. provided there wasn't a tunnel, he would be able to keep her pinned close to the ground*

*The overhang would help to hide herself, especially where the stone cut back and she could fly completely beneath the shelf it formed. It was in one of these cutouts that she stopped suddenly, pausing in an attempt to get behind her pursuer.*

*he knew the stall would come eventually. when she passed under one overhang and didn't appear out the other side, he dove hard and fast. he landed silently on the top of the overhang, crouched, and waited*

*Taking firm hold of the cracks in the rock, she climbed up beneath the overhang. Deep thinnish cracks allowed her to dig her toes into the gaps between the rocks, holding herself completely against the ceiling. Edging forward, she ventured to the edge of the overhang but not an inch beyond.*

*he waited as long as he could before he pulled out an ace. he threw a dagger into the rock face just below the overhang level. the reflective surface of the blade gave him a small glimpse of the area beneath the rock. he didn't get a full view of gael, but he caught a glimps of a wing. he smirked*

*She twisted her head around, watching the dagger fall with a scowl. She closed her eyes, allowing her other senses to take over, and pushing all thought from her mind.*

let the fun begin.

*he crept over to the edge of the ridge and drew another dagger. he let out a slow breath, then planted the dagger hard in the side of the overhang and swung down*

*As soon as he appeared within sight, she grabbed the wrist he was swinging from tightly. Pushing forward off the rock, her other hand latched onto his shoulder.*

*releasing his grip on the dagger, he used the force she pushed off with to right himself almost directly upside down. he planted his feet against the rock and jumped straight down*

*She had been upsidown to begin with, so the motion helped her over to land on her feet. Sensing there may be more to the plan than to dive headfirst into the ground, she released him before landing and scurried back a few feet, crouching.*

*a minute before he hit, he rolled over. his feet hit ground and his legs bent, cushoning the impact. then, like a spring, he turned the residual energy from the fall to launch at gael*

*She ducked at the last moment, falling flat on her back and drawing up her legs. Straightening them swiftly, she caught him in the stomach, using his momentum to push him farther along his trajectory and over her head.*

*he flew over her. if he did much else other roll over so his back would hit, it would have done more damage. so he hit the ground with a slight thud and slid for a few feet, kicking up a small cloud of dust*

*She spun to her feet in a fluid motion, debating whether to run or fight. He had cover in the dust, and she knew better than to attack under such a condition.*

*he smirked at the unexpected side effect of taking the hit. he rolled over on to his stomach, bust ayed low to the ground. as the breeze picked up the cloud he crawled with it, creeping closer to gael. just before the cloud has disapated past the point of being able to mask his pressence he lept forward, 10 feet to the side from where he had landed and half the distance from her*

*She turned, tracking his movement as he lept from the cover of dust. She dropped into a wide, centered stance, both hands before her with talons at the ready. She was daring him to move first.*

*they circled each other for a minute, her with talons, he with a pair of throwing knives. suddenly he vaulted forward and to the side. just before he was in range of her claws, he planted a foot, cut back the other way and dove at her*

*She had stepped back at an angle when he began his first attack, but quickly corrected for the feint. Pivoting off her front leg, she stepped back at an angle in the other direction. Sinking, she brought an open palm upwards to strike beneath his chin.*

Seems all this training lately is doing some good..

*his head twisted to an angle at which the neck would normally needed to have been broken to achieve. her palm met his chin, but at the angle his head was at, it slid straight off with almost no impact force. meanwhile, he brought one of his knees up to catch her in the gut*

*His knee connected, but she tightened her stomach to minimize the impact. The blow brought her out of the low stance, and doubled her over slightly. However the position actually made her first intention work better. She curled her fingers down, cupping his chin in her palm. While the strike hadn't knocked his head back, he had done that bit himself. Precisely, she applied pressure to the pressure point between his upper lip and nose, and applied a driving force straight down. If done correctly, the technique should bring him to the ground.*

*somehow or another he found himself back on the ground looking up at gael. while the hold on his head he would need to be broken, but for the moment he used it to his advantage. tucked a leg under her arm and pushed, while simultaniously rolling back, effectivly trying to flip her onto her back*

*The semi-kick brought her forward and she rolled to keep from landing on her face. She came to a stop on her back, legs bent and feet posted squarely on the ground. Rolling onto her side, the hand that had been on his chin slid forward, and she pressed with her forearm against his throat.*

*he descided it was time to bring the blades into play. he planted a foot on the ground and kicked, letting him twist away from the arm at this troat for an instant. he used that second to bring a blade up to bare and made a slash at her arm*

*Scissoring her legs, her focus now was on keeping the pressure on his throat. As he slashed with the blade, she leaned on the arm crossing his throat. Her other arm caught his weapon hand, gripping tightly around the meaty part of his thumb to control his blade.*

*that was the opening he had been looking for. while his upper body was essenciall useless, she had left him his legs. he rolled his legs around on his hips and kicked. the effort spun them both around so that they where face down. he slowly began to make his way to his knees, then his feet*

*As he flipped them over, the armbar became useless. However she did not want him on his feet. She released his arm, yet left one hand on his wrist, refusing to give him his weapon back. Curled somewhat on her side, she aimed a snapkick to the inside of his knee. Using her talons, she simultaneously reached behind his head and grabbed the back of his neck, attempting to bring him down again.*

*he faultered for a moment when she kicked, but kept going. he gritted his teeth and put all other thoughts other than getting to his feet from his mind*

*She kept her weight on his arm to prevent his getting upright. Shifting her hips, she executed a technique designed to take his leg out. In a scissoring motion, she kicked at the inside of his knee and outside of his ankle simultaneously.*

*he lost his footing again. it was rather clear that he wouldn't be able to get upright. at least, not by conventional means. he sank back down to his knees, dug both of his feet into the ground and pushed off. though he didnt get much hight on the jump, he did get enough air time to roll so he was face up again and gael would take the hit they met the ground again*

*She met the ground with her shoulder, cringing from the impact. However she maintained a grip on his arm, and rolled with him. Stradling him, she made a fist and struck across his face. The blow wasn't so much to hurt, but as to position her hand for another choke. Laying her forearm against his throat again, she leaned forward and put the weight on.*

*gaels arm was at his throat again, but he had his own free hand. the small throwing knife slid back out from the sleeve of his jacket into his hand. he pressed the blade to her throat and quirked a brow*

*She paused but did not pull back from the pressure. A quiet growl formed in her throat.*

*She lifted her arm from his throat, and snaked her hand under his. She took grip of his hand, pressing the points of her talons against his flesh.*

*a warm trickle of blood ran down the forearm of his other arm. he winced slightly as metal met tendon, reminding him that the first blade was still embedded in his wrist. his grip on the second tightened slightly at her touch*

*She stared at him defiantly. Pressing a little harder with the tips of her talons, she leaned down against the point of the blade softly, as if testing his resolve.*

*he pressed forward lightly with the blade, only enough to just break the skin. a small line of blood slid down the edge of the blade*

*She smirked slightly, easing back just a touch.*

Seems we've found ourselves in somewhat of a catch 22..

the sliced fruit like thing? that's bread fruit. Ancient Hawaiians used that like bread... or kinda like bread.

the Poi is mashed taro root. the lomi salmon is a salad/dressing made up of Diced tomatoes, onions, chives, salmon and other spices.
