Welcome back, AB!
Indeed, it's been discussed at length already. People have been suggesting public votes. That might help a little, but I'm not sure how much...Well, once this election is finished. We'll work on repealing the current anti-puppet law and replace with the new one. The new one that actually instructs you to make votes public (not in a mean tone of course :p ).

Or don't vote for DSP and NSCP, the only two parties that got raped by puppets. :D

I highly doubt that eigther my own party or the technocrats have used puppets.
Anarchy!
We're half-assed too.

Well that's the end of this deathmatch. Don't forget to tune in next time for Part 4!
But we have a devious plan!
You have no devious plans. You're not even ideologically allowed to take your seat in parliament.

Geez, now the NSCP are going to be so shocked to see this. Then after that there's finger pointing.....

We collapse it, from the inside! And we have no ideology.

Official results
Before rounding. Every full chunk of 4% gives you one seat.
Anarchy at Any Cost Party => 5.51% => 1 seat
Democratic Socialist Party => 27.03% => 6 seats
Emphatically Silly Party => 9.97% => 2 seats
Militant Leftist Party => 4.46%=> 1 seat
MOBRA => 4.20%=> 1 seat
New British Imperialist Party => 5.51% => 1 seat
NS Classic Liberals => 8.14%=> 2 seats
NS Conservative Party => 21.78% => 5 seats
Technocratic Party => 3.15% => 0 seat
United Democratic Communist Party => 10.24% => 2 seats
That fills 21 seats; 4 remaining. Established procedure since the 2nd election is that a party with less than 4% of the vote cannot obtain a seat no matter what, which means the Technocratic Party cannot be rounded upwards. Of the remaining parties, the DSP is closest to another seat (0.97% away), so they gain a 7th seat. Next comes the UDCP (1.76% away), which gains a 3rd seat. All other parties are at least 2% away, but there are two seats remaining to be filled, so. . . Next we have the ESP (2.03% away) and the NSCP (2.22% away). The AACP and the NBIP are both 2.49% away.
Which gives us:
Official composition of the 3rd NS General Parliament
Anarchy at Any Cost Party => 1 seat
Democratic Socialist Party => 7 seats
Emphatically Silly Party => 3 seats
Militant Leftist Party => 1 seat
MOBRA => 1 seat
New British Imperialist Party => 1 seat
NS Classic Liberals => 2 seats
NS Conservative Party => 6 seats
Technocratic Party => 0 seat
United Democratic Communist Party => 3 seats
I’ll start a thread for the new Parliament in just a moment, where each party can announce its MPs.
The Third NS General Parliament (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?p=10617754#post10617754) can now begin.
I'd like to thank everyone who took part in this election, and who participated fairly.

Seats by groups:
Centre-left group - 13 seats (DSP, UDCP, NSCL, and MLP)
Right-wing group - 7 seats (NSCP and NBIP)
Other - 5 seats (ESP, AACP, and MOBRA)
Wow, bigger social democratic group this time. And a majority in parliament too.

What on earth has the NBIP done to be lumped in with the NSCP? We're a silly party, yes, but even we have limits. :eek:

NS Classic Liberals are on the left? I don't think so, else I certainly wouldn't have voted for them.
To be honest, I think only the DSP can be described as centre-left.
You'd need a straight 'left-wing' grouping to include the other two.

nope, still refrained even when it was obvious what was going on.
its a shame that the NSCP and the DSP were (theoretically - of course, no proof) engaged in a puppet-voting war at the end there - really distorts parliament, but there you go. its over now :)
Nobody's puppet, just Alien Born back again after a long time away.

Will the DSP and NSCP, just stuff it already. It's over and done with, none of the party officials would have puppet voted, so move on and shut up.

I cannot tell a lie. 'Twas me - me and my 380 puppets who voted. That I spread the wealth around is merely indicative of my fractured psyche.

Thank you my good man. It is nice to see that some of the worthy opponents are still here. I arrived a little too late to do anything about this election though.

I do find this election humorous though. The commies, who are followers of a flawed system, get the most seats and the rednecks, which is believed to be a small minority of NS, get the second most seats. To all you little boys and girls out there, enjoy this, it is the small things that bring the most joys in life, cherish them, hold them near and dear to your heart.

Where did you get the idea that the DSP is communist?
Oh, wait, if this is about the "all socialism is communism" theory, I don't wanna hear.
Wait... since when have the DSP been socialists???

So, DHomme, does this mean we're kick-starting our entertaining soirees?

No it means that your party doesn't support socialism. It suppports a fluffy, reformed version of capitalism.

Now now, I've gotta go out. But if you wanna make the first argument for why what you support should be termed 'socialism' go ahead, ill try and respond once i get back.

Because most socialist are lumped in as being communists, hence I said commies becuase it has a more negative tone, just as I said rednecks for conservatives, once again, it sounds more like a negative than just saying conservative. And if the DSP aren't socialist then a name change is in order.

Good. And you know, whatever your reasoning is, it won't be good enough to convince me. So it's perhaps best we just don't discuss it at all. ;)
