We'll be standing up for ordinary peoples, labour unions, small businesses and entrepreneurs, and our healthy economy. And really, we are not a facist party like yours.

HAHA!
Wow! Using the word "fa[s]cist" as a derogatory term when it doesn't apply at all. Shows how great the politics behind the DSP are!

It's good to see that you're standing up for the entrepeneurs. Sort of makes me realise everything I'd been saying about your party is right. You aren't socialists- you're liberals in disguise. Sort of like the transformers if they couldn't take a solid stance on any issues and started jumping from leftwing to rightwing and back again.

BTW, how do you plan to make it affordable?Too tired to type at this moment. So I'll C&P a section of our manifesto about healthcare:

"We support the right of every individual in the country to get decent and affordable healthcare. We are aware that the government controlling the industry is inefficient and has in the past led to inferior outcomes.

"Therefore, we plan to allow doctors to operate in the normal legal framework as they wish. The government will not interfere with pricing until collusion or other illegal activities take place.

"However, we will subsidise the use of healthcare by providing customers with government funds. The government will be paying a large share of standard procedures. This will allow even the poorest to attain a decent quality of healthcare, but also allow doctors to set their own prices. The higher they set their prices, the less business they will get, but if they set prices close to the level of government subsidy, they will have a steady flow of income. We expect a corrected market like this to function efficiently and effectively."

We'll be standing up for ordinary peoples

But, the "ordinary" people are not everybody.... Which would make your whole slogan false.

You are going to take money from the millionaires (who are part of everybody) to give money to the ordinary people, which pretty much means your going to screw over 25% of everybody to benefit 75%.

No, they only represent the ACCEL and other conservative related groups.

Do you want to be ruled by a group that doesn't represent everyone?

Getting a little desperate here are we, TCR? It's a shame that us Conservatives signed the pledge to end negative attacks, whereas the NSDSP has yet to do so. And yes, when we're elected to another plurality, we will work for everybody

We're not a hard right party.

We support a free market, yet allow worker to organize.

We support the use of some tax money for public works, but keep it equal.

We support keeping marriage in a church, and allowing the government to issue civil unions to two people who live with eachother and want one.

So support the party of reason, the party that truly represents everybody

You claim to represent everyone, and yet your entire ideaology is based on creating one nice country depending on poor nations staying poor.

I think that analysis is wrong. For example, most people would rather take a disciplined person than an undisciplined person. But, a country with great civil liberties would resemble a person who is more erratic and less disciplined, whereas an authoritarian nation would be more akin to a disciplined person. Do we really want "disciplined" nations, if we follow that method? Not to mention that, since each country is a person, Vatican City would be equal to China, even though these two countries are completely different on scale and virtually every other measure.

Also, you don't provide anything other than blanket, unsupported statements for the rest of your argument. Say socialism helps most Widgets, it probably hurts 5 third world countries. DSP claims to represent everyone, and yet their ideology is based on creating one nice country depending on poor nations staying poor. That's not a very good argument, seeing as how I didn't provide any argument or evidence, just made claims that aren't neccessarily true. I think it would help if you elaborated and gave information instead of just saying random things.
Michaelic France

I don't support the DSP, I support the UDCP. What I meant was, the conservative party advocates capitalism. Capitalism is becoming increasingly globablized. Instead of using cheap labor in one's own country, they use the labor of entire countries to keep their lifestyle afloat. If there are rich there must be poor.

How can workers' rights be defended under a state that is itself a ruling class? How can the workers truly feel secure under a state that they do not run?

As long as the working class and state are two separate entities, how can we know that these benefits will not be in conjunction with, or even repealed for, petty provincialist vendettas?

Only one party can guarantee the workers a voice.

What about foreign laborers? What alternatives do you think they should have to outsourced jobs? How will you provide them?I admit that this is not in our manifesto and I think Neu Leonstein got a better answer than I do.

My thought is that if we able to provide jobs to people, then why can't the other countries. I mean isn't every government's responsibilty is to improve the economic condition to attract businesses, create jobs for a growing population, and reduce the unemployment rate? Like you can't simply give jobs away like this to solve other government's labour problems.

Also, your argument seems somewhat imperialistic, in that leaders in rich/developed countries are somehow rulers of the world and should act so. His point isn't that leaders in rich/developed countries should be rulers of the world, but that they are rulers of the world due to the imbalance of power caused by the imbalance of wealth between the countries. It is true that they aren't rulers in name, but they are rulers in deed.

I wonder - politely - if, next time there's an election, voters might be interested in the programme of a political party started by myself and my brother some years ago:

The Never Truly Vicious Black Friday Afternoon Non-Marxist Revolutionary Party for the Re-Unification of Gondwanaland.

I realise that this is a little late for the current election, but here at TNVBFAN-MRPRUG headquarters, we're a little worried that the southern continents are in fact moving further apart, and would welcome NS'ers support in advancing our political programme, just so long as it doesn't cause too much fuss and bother.

A polite thank-you for taking the time to read this message.

The puppet bill got passed, but did it do ANYTHING? No. This bill is a failure.

While I wasn't part of the party when this bill passed, it is still true that they were the only ones to attempt to do something.

However, its failure to do anything is by fault of all parties in the parliament last term, and the fact that this poll was not made to insure that no puppet voting occurred. Had the poll creator taken steps to follow the bill (such as a public poll or having a few old MPs watching nation login times), then none of this talk of treason could have occurred. Also while all of the parties want to pin the failure on the Conservative, much like in every government, when a law is passed it is up to the whole government to implement it, not just one party.

TCR sure does have a bug up his ass about me. A giant, hairy, black eight-legged bug.

I might suggest ignoring *him*, but what I'd *really* suggest is Raid. A lot of Raid. And one of those NBC yellow spacesuit things.

Since when does it cover all nations? It only applies to NS General. It's like you're saying a seashell codpiece covers Godzillacrotch.

And NS General is, believe it or not, an international body. Anyone from anywhere in the world who does NS will be represented by the NS Parliament, so it's a world government.

Just a thought.

SB, did you get the idea to post on the election thread and criticize everyone from my telling people that simply not voting was pointless? If so, I apologize to the NS community.

No, I got the idea to post on this thread because I was an MP in the last parliament which Ariddia unilaterally disbanded, thus totally overthrowing the concept of a governing Parliament in the first place by acting like a dictator.

Most people are far too busy smashing other parties and promoting their own to care about such trivialities however. Now I just do the former, without the latter, especially since puppet voting makes it all irrelevant.

If you'll look carefully, I'm not the only one making propaganda around here. ;)

Changing quotes is so pointless and annoying. It happened to TCR yesterday, or the day before yesterday, and it was pointless and annoying and you doing it now, brings forth the same reaction.

How about some real comebacks instead of lackluster, change a few letter ones. Do it for the beer.....

Just like the NS General Parliament, it's elections and all political campaigning designed to influence the vote! Yes exactly.

As for "real comebacks," what would you prefer? "IGNORE THIS GUY. HE'S MEAN!"? That happened from TCR today, and it was pointless and annoying!

You don't have to play if you don't wanna, you know.

And it would really be nicer if when you have to misquote, you don't use the "official" graphics of any given party.

I wonder - politely - if, next time there's an election, voters might be interested in the programme of a political party started by myself and my brother some years ago:

The Never Truly Vicious Black Friday Afternoon Non-Marxist Revolutionary Party for the Re-Unification of Gondwanaland.

Take part next time, and find out.

Though I'm not sure that would fit in as a poll option... :p
