With talk of war on everyones minds, we are saddened to bring you news, Edenstein has been working on a space flight project, A High Altitude/low Orbit shuttletransport. We have been developing the technology for this project at one of our research facilities, tonight at 23:00 hours, an explosion occured when one of the heavy lift engines that was being tested exploded. This resulted in a massive explosion leaving our testing facility in ruins. There where many casulties sustained, Emperor Ed was at the testing facility overseeing the testing of the engine. The Emperor survived the explosion but was criticly injured, he has been rushed to Torvalds Memorial Hospital where he is undergoing major surgery. Until is recovery, I will be in charge of Edenstein. We will continue down the same road to peace the The emperor was taking. There will be no questions.

In lieu of the recent air raids, Spinkoslovakia’s sent a convoy transporting medical supplies and relief to the embattled people of Ericsburg, heading south through Allied nations and arriving at Land-o-Eric.

Unfortunately, these unmarked (so as to avoid attack) VXP transportable tactical vehicles were attacked anyway, and caused a major accident within the limits of Land-o-Eric. The medical supplies were scattered throughout the land and thus contaminated the soil.

Goodevening everyone. Although peace seamed to be within our grasp war has broken out in the LETI Region. In accordance with our treaties Edenstein has signed with other nations in LETI, we are declaring all UN Nations as hostile. Also in accordance with our treaty, we have fired 100 Yukon 3 Anti Shipping weapons from battle group 3 that is stationed in international waters off of Henceland omega, at the fleet of Council of Clan that is stationed off of Doo Doo Poo Poo and 200 at the clan fleet that is stationed in their territorial waters from battle group one stationed outside of THEoE. The war has begun...... may god have mercy on us all.

Euphoni has advanced roughly half of its naval forces to the waters of Council of Clan, consisting of:

2 Amphibious Assault Ships
5 Fast Attach Hover Patrol Boats
2 Iowa Class Battle Ships
1 sea fire class Aircraft Carrier
10 Hovercraft

Our Navy has the orders to shoot to destroy any of the ships of Council of Clan or its allies. Soon we will be advancing towards the land and meeting with our allies to destroy and attack all of FOOTCOC's home navy.

The inner spies have been recalled (24 hours before Crippleslovania launched it's nukes) from the inner borders of FOOTCOC, after successfully completing Pre-War "Operation Sweet AND Painful"

TFoTCoC(not FOOT-COC like some call us) has been attacked at its very heart. We have been stabbed in the back by those we were beginning to build alliances with or so we thought. We are not a member of the United Nations, yet we were attacked anyway. Why this Happened? it is because we support the choice of a nation and its Soveirgnty. These oppressive anti-UN nations all are attempting to controll what other nations are allowed to do. Land-O-Eric and The Federation are vastly outnumbered, and cannot hope for ultimate victory alone. So we call out to ALL UN nations that support the rights of individual nations to come to our aid. We will need help to destroy this great evil. Any aid that can be given to us from the International community would be greatly appreciated. We will fight on the seas and oceans, we will fight on the beaches, the villages our cities and our homes. But we will never surrender whatever the cost may be. In the future many will say, never have so few done so much to so many.


2 of our Seawolf (FCS Great White and FCS Tiger Shark)class submarines opperating in tangent with one another launched 2 EMP warhead equipped tomahawk cruise missiles at the Euphonian fleet. The warheads exploded wiping out all of the electronics on board those ships, effectively crippling them while 6 squadrons of F-16(36th Fighter wing) Fighting Falcon's based out of MacLeod Air Force Base went in and launched Maverick and harpoon missiles. As well as dropped cluster bombs, 500lb dumb bombs, and deep penetration laser guided bombs on the decks of all the ships. And engaged any fighters that were in the sky.

We have ordered our E-767 AWACS craft(capable of detecting stealth) to operate round the clock patrols of the home islands. They are being escorted by AMRAAM armed F-16 Fighting falcons at all times.

The 430th Tactictal Bombing wing (4 squadrons F-111 aardvarks, 2 Squadrons F-4 Phantoms) has been ordered to assault Edenstein Troop Formations, They are being covered by three squadrons of HARM(anti-sam sight missiles)equipped F-16 Falcons and being escorted by the 378th Air Superiority wing(3 Squadrons F-22 Raptors and 2 Squadrons F-15C Eagles)

Fleet heavy Carrier Battle Group one that was attacked by Edenstein's ships has launched AM-1 anti-missile missiles at the Yukon 3 anti-ship missiles. Combined with Standard, Sea Sparrow anti-ship missiles and CIWS Phalnax we were able to knock down 92 to of the attacking missiles.
2 Missed and 6 found their targets. The FCS Belfast Perry Frigate took two direct hits and blew apart. The FCS Stellar Hawk took a direct hit and is burning but damage control teams tell me that she should survive. The FCS Stewart Destroyer took a hit at the water line and is listing heavily to starboard, all hands have abandoned the ship. Two more hits were taken on the FCS Longsword Iowa class Battleship. She caught fire and one of the Heavy gun turrets were knocked out but damage control teams were able to put the fire out and She is resuming combat operations. The FCS Liberator Virginia class cruiser took a direct hit in the missile magazine and is burning uncontrollably.


The other naval attack conducted on our forces with the same combination of sea based anti air missiles and also land based SAM batteries. we were able to knock down 175 of the incoming missiles.
But sadly the results were even worse. the FCS Claymore Iowa class BB took 7 Seven direct hits above the waterline and is burning uncontrollably.
the FCS Gandee and Kirkpatrick took two hits apiece and blew apart(both were destroyers) the FCS Eagle AEGIS cruiser took two hits at the waterline and sank quickly. The FCNS ZER-3 FLeet oiler took a direct hit and blew apart spreading fire to the FCS Oban. 5 of the missiles impacted on the water harmlessly. The FCS Premier Virginia class cruiser took 4 direct hits and blew completely apart. The FCS Snapping Turtle Landing ship took one hit that knocked out flight operations but was able to commence operations once again after repairs were made. The FCS Callander took a direct hit in the prow and is listing, but thanks to bilge pumping and frantic efforts will not sink, though it is out of the fight for now.


The FCS Valykrie hasput aircraft in the air and is commencing an air assualt on Battlegroup three of the Edenstein navy. All F/A-18's(48 Super Hornets) are carrying 2 Sidewinders, 2 AMRAAMs and 4 harpoon missiles a piece.
The F-14's(24 model D) are all carrying 6 phoenix AAM's and have fired upon the aircover of that battlegroup from 100 miles away. There is a E-2C Hawkeye conducting AWACS for these ships. The Battle group around the Valykrie has launched Tomahawk, Harpoon and Standard Missile strikes against Battle group 3. A total of 108 missiles have been fired.

A Seawolf Attack (FCS Hammerhead) submarine has launched 4 EMP tomahawks against the air defenses leading up to and of the capital Euphoni. The 89th and 128th Strategic bombing wings have gone in and assualted all major government buildings within Euphoni including the palace. the air assualt consisted of 48 F-117 Nighthawks to destroy the inert air defenses(no electrical power) , 44 B-1B Lancers and 50 B-52 Stratofortresses. They were escorted in by the 325th and 223rd fighter wings (144 F-16's total)

OOC: Apparantely Wallace, didn't read Ed's little "Good RP vs Bad RP". Don't you find it a bit odd, that we just kind of rolled over and took the hits? Come on - lets be serious people. If we're going to do this, lets be realistic. I don't think 10 nukes would have been aimed at random to hit fields...In other words, they would have strategically been placed to take out your most important areas and intellegence.

Secondly i am not acknowledling the existence of the Nuclear missiles until I have PROOF that they even exist. So i have not made my counter move.

thirdly you don't understand naval combat. i do. You cannot report my losses, i didn't say what i destroyed. I merely declared my moves. If you continue to act like this i will do what is known as IGNORING your moves.

I did report losses and they were heavy. No fleet likes to or can continue to suffer attacks like that and operate effectively. Edenstein crippled, damaged or destroyed almost 25% of my fleet. And you cannot ignore the effects of EMP either. So report your losses and we will move onto the next round of attacks

ooc: You can not declare that you have taken out all communication bases, you can say that you've fired the nuclear tipped missels at the fleet and commnunication but you can't declare his losses.

OOC: ah but my EMP exploded 2KM away from their targets and had been flying at sea level, just above the surf. the first exploded 2KM away and the second exploded on the edge of the fleet.

IC: 7 of the 10 Titan's didn't make it, being shot down by various SAM (using PATRIOT hardware) and AEGIS cruiser batteries.

MacLeen AFB took a direct hit and was leveled

Knocking out the 287th Fighter wing and the 429th Military Airlift wing

another Titan landed on our Fighter factory in the mountains obliterating all the equipment and the whole factory

One last titan landed at Glasgow International Airport and the City of Glasgow knocking out some of our vital shipyards.

And you cannot ignore the effects of EMP either. So report your losses and we will move onto the next round of attacks

i wouldn't call it effectively. I lost a lot of ships. and alot of men.

They are surrounded by the press, and an eager crowd of civilians await outside the security fences.**

People of Tempestia, and all peoples of the LETI. It is official. War is upon us. Last night at approximately 10:00pm LETI Standard time, Coalition forces began a barrage of attacks on the Council of Clan. This was the beginning of what is to become the largest force ever to oppose the tyranny of the UN. It should be known that Tempestia is a part of this coalition, and has recently purchased $18,000,000,000 worth of military supplies, including and not limited to, a full array of military vehicles and weapons for every branch of the military. And this is onlythe beginning.

**The crowd begins to cheer, tenatively at first, but quickly erupting into a glorious outpoor of unconditional support. The president motions with his hands for the crowd to calm down.**

At this time, additional forces from the coalition are moving onwards to continue support for the attacks.

** The press begins to foam wildly, asking in a disjunct unison where the forces are currently stationed and what kind of forces, numbers, destinations, etc. Once again, the president motions them quiet, more sternly this time.**

We are unable to disclose any details about our forces at this time, in order to maintain the safety of the advancing troops. For now, let's all just hope and pray for the safety of our troops and a brighter tomorrow. That is all.

Fleet 3's Aircraft compliment that was not already in the air was Where immediatly scrambled when CoC's aircraft where picked up at 400 miles out by our 767 AWACS that has been flying as a tactical command post. Edensteins aircraft in the sky include 30 F/A 18's Super hornets, carrying 2 Aim 9 Sidewinders and 4 AMRAAM Missels apiece, 30 F-14 Tomacats, Carrying 6 Pheonix apiece and 15 F-16 F's Carrier Falcons 2 Sidewinders and 2 AMRAAM missels, In the opening volly Missels from Clan F-14's destroyed 5 F-18's 7 F-14's and 3 F-16's. The remaining F-14's return fire at the oncoming Air force.

Of the 108 missels fired at Battle fleet 3, 84 where shot down by the AM-1 missle, AM-3 missle and Phalanx weapons Systems on our ships, of the 24 Anti ship missels getting through our defences, five splashed in the water, 4 struck the ES: Bulge CG-47 3 above and one below the water line sending her and all hands down. 3 strike the ES Lafferty in the rear quater of the ship, starting a fire that is burning our of control and will probably sink. 1 Strikes the ES Washington but dosn't go off. 4 Strike the ES SuSEE Battleship Nocking out Heavy Turrets one and three and striking the bow, Fires raged on the ship but have been put out and The ship has withdrawn from battle and can be salvaged. 1 strikes the ES Kingsville Oiler starting a fire and leaving burning oil on the water making rescue operations difficult and dangerous the ship sinks after a half hour and 2 Strike the ES McBride Wasp Class carrier. Punching holes in the side of the side of the carrier, leaving the carrier dead in the water.

The Ships that are stationed around carrier OS8 have fired AM-3 missels totaling 50 at the oncoming air force. And the missle frigates have fired another 75 Yokumn 3 missels back at battle group one. 5 P-3 Orions have been scrambled from land basses carrying 4 LRMAW a piece have also fired at battle group one.

The FCS Great White and FCS tiger shark along with FCS Hammer head have been picked up on our Sonar Picket Defense Grid. 10 P-3 Orions equiped with MK-50 Torpedo's and being escorted by 3 Squadrans of SU-37's carrying 6 AMMRAM and 2 Sidewinders apiece to attack the Great white and Tigershark. And 3 CH-53's have been dispatched from the ES Warp in battle fleet 1 one to attack the FCS Hammerhead.

Fleet one launches another volly of 100 Yokoham 3 antishipping missels against the fleet in Clan waters.

In the ground attack,Edenstein Sam sites where able to launch a total of 100 SAM missels at the invading force before 50 of our anti Aircraft SAM sites where destroyed, 50 F-15's and 50 F-16's F's where scrambled upon detection of the hostile air force, they are carrying 5 Ammrams and 2 Sidewinder and 2 Sidewinders and 4 Ammrams respectivly.

Do you not report my losses in this statement? Specifically "The warheads exploded..."

The tomahawks exploded before they were within your fleets air defense bubble(at least the first one did) the second one was following at a distance farther than a warhead blast behind the first and was set to explode within the middle of your fleet.


Now if you want to dispute this and attempt to shoot them down let me know.

Umm when i said they were carying HARM missiles. How those work is when a sam sight sends out a radar pulse special receivers on the F-16 pick it up(kind of like passive sonar) and the HARM is targeted on this sight. and fired. If the radar was to shut off the HARM would bore all the way back to it anyway and still hit the target and any missiles fired by this sight (unless fire and forget which are rare for SAMS) would lose tracking and simply fly until they ran out of fuel. Now older Anti-Radiation missiles required the radar to stay on while they were attacking otherwise they would lose their lock and be like the sams mentioned above. So if you would please report the losses to your sam sites and radar installations i will continue.

When I regained consciosness tonight I learned the status of affairs in the region, which almost put me back into unconsciousness. I have learned of the actions of Edenstein and am ahamed, not by the brave men and women of our armed forces but by the one who was leading them. I have placed Lt Zofia under military arrest and she is being held as a War Criminal. We have also learned that the recent failures of our engines for our transports where actualy sabotage with Lt Zofia as the mastermind. She will be punnished for her actions.

OOC:Actually ed all of your comparisons are poor. the way that it worked was i was given COMMAND of some of his forces, i assume there still is all the divisional and Corp commanders that come from his nation. Now if he gave X number of tanks, X number of Aircraft, X number of ships and X number of rifles and i had to supply the men to operate, yes that would be a god mod. He gave them to me in Corp structures(this is higher than divisional level) and in each corp in a normal army is Logistical support wrapped up with the combat support. My own soldiers are not going to be using this weapons and equipment, his will, they are trained on it and have their own logistics support. When the United States says, i'm sending 10th Mountain division to X country, there is already logistical support wrapped up within the division. Hell even on the company level there is logistical support wrapped up. In my company of Military Police(IRL) we have several cooks, Supply and weapons NCO's, and administraters that are not MP certified. Yet they are still part of the MP company and we cannot operate without them. So the way it works is he sent an expeditionary force underneath his flag but told his generals to do what i say. With his expetidionary force, he sent his own logistics wrapped up with the rest of the combat soldiers. Now if you want you can telegram him to confirm the existence of logistical support(i'm not funding this army, he is.) Be my guest.

My land forces are 60% fighting efficient, my sea forces are 70% fighting effient, and my air forces are 40% fighting efficient. Fighting efficieny is the percentage of the personnel sent that are actual combat troops. The fighting efficieny in this case really only applies to the troops. My forces never deploy without logistical support. The only thing FOOTCOC need to provide is a place for my forces to stay and water. Food, ammo, medics, etc, I will provide. As far as command stucture goes, he only provides the high command, which equates to - "go that way", and then my commanders will determine the rest.

Why I only gave him the forces you ask. Because I had to leave, and did not know when I would be back. I don't have a stable enough schedule to actively RP all the time.

First of all.... I didn't use WMD, that was three other countries, one was on accident, if you read the forum you will see that it was an accident.

1) I never directly mentioned you as being the user of WMD. But you are party to the side that used them, thus indirectly making you guilty.

2) Since this is a war without outside interference, I cannot command my forces. I can only allow him to use my forces. See the lend lease program the US had with GB during WW2. We gave them forces, but yet were neutral and uninvolved. Had I stepped in and actually began "interfering", it would be a violation of the RP. Therefore, this way he is only "borrowing" my forces, there is no outside interference.

3) Nothing to lose is not a good reason RPwise, RLwise to use nukes. Ever hear of MAD (Mutual Assurd Destruction)? Yeah...thats a bad thing.

4) Refer to point 1, you used them (or your allies used them), you must therefore deal with the consequences thereof.

It is with great saddness that I report to you today. I have currently "sobered up" and realized the great actions of terror that my apointed SOW Hurz Brunner has carried out recently. I must apologize to the FoTCoC for the horrid actions that Euphoni did under the leadership of SOW Brunner.

Our people have become outraged at the government of THEoE due to the misguidance and have removed Brunner from our borders. I cannot give you the point at which Brunner recently lives, however, I can tell you that he no longer resides within Euphoni.

Now lets talk about resolution. To the government and leadership of FoTCoC, I will open our borders up to your military for investigation and dissarming. I will also allow you to lead our nation -- however, I would like to remain as the figure-head of this nation.

Now, you may be wondering why I have such a sudden change of heart. Of course, many of you may not know, I have a severe history of alcoholism in my family - and I even had a brief episode of tipping the bottle myselt. SOW Brunner knew this and took advantage of this by "spiking" all liquid beverages with large percent of alcohol rendering me mentally unstable, indecisive, and irritable. Furthermore, Brunner would fill my emotional mind with unjust feelings of hate towards FoTCoC thereby getting my approval (when drunk) to proceed with aweful military advances.

You may recall that a few days before the attack, meetings were held in Fei Fong Wong, HO, in which I was not even allowed to participate. I was simply brushed out of the room (into another room of tempting endeavors....which we will not discuss in detail at this point in time). As I said, I was very under-the-influence, and therefor could not control my emotions.

We will be sending 12.762 billion dollars to the nation of FoTCoC in an effort to clean up the mess we have created - if they agree to use the money exactly for cleaning up.

OOC: the difference between you and I is how we use judge time in the RP.

I judge like everyone else Judges it. I RL day= I NS year.


and i've had this argument with everyone and there is no solution at the moment. but i'll leave you with these thoughts. its unrealistic not to judge time like that with the way population grows and what such.

Because if we did it 1 RL day= 1 NS day. not one of the nations around here would have a military and would have a enourmous host of problems due to the fact that we gain 5+ million people A DAY!!

The fastest they built a cargo ship in world war II was 17 days, that was with full gearing towards construction and the ship was constructed haphazardly. Our level of ships get produced i think the fastest is 6 months or so for the smaller escort ships years for the larger capital ships.

(It took 8 years to build an Iowa class battleship)

Then you have to factor in training time. You have to first train the men how to be sailors. Then you have to familirize them with the equipment. and then the ship has to go through sea trials. From laying a ships keel to the time it goes into operation can take on average about a year to two years.

Now since none of our nations in this game have been around more than a month RL and your counting day per day. Explain to me how any of us have anything? (Infantry training in the united states military takes about 14 weeks or 98 days. and that is the shortest training term in the army)

I based my standard of off what i observed in the forums.

If you want to do purely a character RP then you take it to a different game because the "informal" system set up in nationstates is not set up for that.

and about the posts about this day or that. time sorta slows down when something important happens. It's really the only way you can RP these sort of things.


This is a topic that needs to be discussed by the members of the region, but i remind you if you are adamant about the 1=1 system we have millions of people in large pens that are mostly infants because any other way would not make sense.

OOC: I hate to be so blunt, but what part of "You have to just accept some things" didn't you understand? NS is essentially whatever you want it to be. It can be exactly as you say, or it can be exactly as we say. It wrks both ways depending on what you're willing to fudge. We're willing to fudge the speed of things. You're willing to fudge everything else. There's nothing wrong with that. But this particular region seems to enjoy the stories and the characters more than the realism, like most RPGs-online or not-tend to do. I'm not saying you have to agree with our beliefs, but if the majority (and the founder) has decided to behave this way, you sort of have to comply. If you'd prefer to do things like "everyone else" there are nearly 10,000 Regions out there, and you may be right that most of them operate the way you want to, and I'm sure some of them would love to have you in their regions. But LETI is not "everyone else" We're "a bunch of crazy people who like a good story and characters." It looks like you're starting to like the story and characters yourself... why not just ignore the fact that 5 million people are born every day and ships are built within hours, and just enjoy a nice good story about a treacherous region of nations nearing the end of a war? What've you got to lost except some sanity, which is overrated anyway?

My two cents on the whole 1=1 thing... I agree that armies can't be built in a day, but I also agree that this is just a game and there's no reason to get so worked up about it. Moreover, some countries use 1 RL hour to equal a day. It all depends on the way your region wants to play it, and our region never made the rule that 1 day=1 year. And we've seen in the past that what happens in our game isn't totally what happens in real life. Far from it. It's supposed to be fun. And if you want to play, you can't always make the rules. Trust me, I know.

5 million troops?? Thats quite a bit of unnessessary ground force, more of an invasion/occupation force if you ask me. I merely sent in a policing force, whos very presence was overwhelming enough. This sounds more like a case of "invite us to invade you". I strongly suggest that you have your troop transports return to your ports. The Dominion of Sketch will not look kindly upon the further militarization of this region. Our presence shall suffice as the peace-keeping force.

Your population of just barely over 1 billion and economy of merely "very strong" is laughable. I suggest that you not emphasize such things the next time you "try" to render assistance.

The book critic in me is pleased with the characterization and snappy writing style, plus the plot is suspenseful and entertaining. I just figured that since Max Barry made this site and has done such an awesome job, I should plug the book. I even wrote him a fan letter. :)

Reporter Parkinson: I'm here in front of the Imperial Palace, where a huge crowd has gathered to witness Riker's return. Many of these are protestors, claiming that the former Empress, Carolyn, is not in Upper Carianada as Riker has claimed. About ten minutes ago, an unidentified blond woman jumped out of this crowd, landed on Riker's shoulders, and began ripping at his hair. The live crew covering this event raced to the scene.

Carolyn: Good Afternoon. We bring you this late breaking story. Tragedy has occurred in Tempestia this morning. At the Gala festivities for the arrival of a CoC battleship, a terrorist group stowed onto the ship.

10 unidentified males all between the ages of 25 and 30 were seen hiding in various parts of the ship. They were virtually undetected by security forces due to heavy drinking at the festivities. They soon announced that all 10 of them were wearing 10 lbs of C-4 and each had a detonator. There were also reports of a large antennae extending from each of them. At the time they were assumed to be communication devices.

The sober members of the security force and the SWAT team were called to the scene. They did succeed in detaining the suicide bombers and retrieving their detonators.

However, it was soon discovered that the large antennae was part of a remote detonation device, held by various other members of the terrorist group. A few minutes after the bombers were detained, they used the remote detonators. 10 seperate explosions occurred throughout various areas of the ship.

There has been no report as to the extent of the damage or deathtoll at this point, and the members of the terrorist group who used remote detonators have been detained. We will keep you posted as more information becomes available. Our thoughts are with the families of those assumed dead from the Tempestian and Clan services.

One may have gotten on board, possibly. but 10, come on be realistic.

do you see terrorists getting on board a US ship at this moment, even when security was lax the USS Cole happened, now if he had pulled something like that i would have gone along with it. But right now security is so tight around US naval vessels, i highly doubt that terrorists would ever get on board. or any unidentified boats would get near it.
Do not forget that all of the ships systems are still in operation, and that navies have been working on foiling boarding parties for centuries. When comes up with a PLAUSIBLE way that his terrorists got onboard, got past several roaving patrols of marines, and evaded detection from all the Lookouts and defense systems, we can continue.

He never said how the terrorists got onboard, how they defeated my security or anything. He never said what loopholes he exploited or anything, the attack never happend, there is a difference between going with the flow and letting things that are damn near impossible happen easily. Now if this attack happened on one of his own vessels, yes it may be realistic, but on a vessel that carries top secret important equipment, there will be security.

Geek: This is Poin Dexter reporting live from ESA launch site where the new HELO is about to be launched, this new space craft is truly a remarkable site, it is different then most orbiters because it is a completly reusable self contained unit. Edenstein has developed two varients, the HELO, which is what is being launched today is going to be the workhorse of Edensteins new space fleet. It has the ability to take off under its own power and reach orbit, stay in space for 2 weeks completing its mission, re-enter, then have a two week turn around and complete the process over. The first helo ESTS Torvalds is launching today on a 10 day shakedown mission. No word on what this mission involves.

As you can hear we are only moments away. The other varient the HALO version is the civillian transport, this will launch in the same way but will stay in earth atmosphere. This will cut travel times from Edenstein International airport to 1 hour, Moscow 90 Minutes, Tokoyo 2 hours. The HALO can carry 250 passengers.

It is wonderful considering that the project was almost cancelled due to various incidents involving some of the pieces of the entire unit. But this should be a great day for the nation of Edenstein and The LETI Region as a whole, openening up an entire new world of possibilities.

*All is quiet on the oceans surronding Viert Reich, a full moon is rising over the horizon and every star in the sky is out. Admiral Ulonov; commander of all of Edensteins armed forces and personaly taking charge of the task force takes his nightly walk around the outside deck on the conning tower of the Flagship of Fleet Three the ES: Glasnov and overall command post of the assembled fleet. Ulonov always loved battleships, even though many now consider them obsolete, relics of a now almost forgoten time of warfare. We may have been victourious but we still paid a large price. I have reviewed our reasons for attacking Veirt Reich, we have made a drastic Mistake. And many lives shall be lost, Viert Reich may be a moronic nation led by an insane dictator. Something had to be done, but unfortunetly we chose the wrong thing, war begets more war. This will be a never ending cycle. As my last act i will be withdrawing Federation Forces from HO and Edenstein back home.

From the trees nearby, several terrorist men are in position with Barrett .50 HTI Sniper Rifles and wearing POET armored suits. The Suburban's windows open revealing AK-47s...

And from his hideaway far away in neither CoC nor HO, terrorist leader Sergeant Slotter grins evilly. "Old Corran's going to have a heart attack over this one if he ever finds out! Oh Corran, you SHOULD have worried about the missing equipment! MUWAHAHAHAHAH!"

This goes on for a good 20 minutes until all is quiet. The Suburban speeds up and drives onto the sidewalk, getting between Hamilton and the Expedition. The men in the Suburban curse at the driver for the bumpy ride. The driver gives them the finger, and continues driving as the passenger in the middle driver's side suddenly keels over dead. The man who originally jumped Hamilton continues do grapple with one of the guards...*

*the guard being grappled with pulls out his black asp and proceeds to beat the crap out the man attacking him*

*The man being beat with the asp lets go and falls to the ground as he is beaten, yelling, "How come I'M the one that got picked to do the jumping!?" He whimpers, then falls unconscious. A third man in a tree gets shot in the back. "Saw that one coming..." he mutters and falls. The driver of the Suburban bumps into the Expedition, then swerves to the right, hitting one of the guards in the process. As he pulls up just inches from Hamilton, a big burly man with more tatoos on his body than Michael Jackson had little boys on his leans out the window. "C'MERE!" he yells, and grabs Hamiltonby the shoulder, pulling him head first into the Suburban through the window.

A bullet flies into the Suburban's front windshield, making a nice crack, but temprorarily staying intact. The driver guns it, and the passenger randomly fires his AK-47, not caring who he hits.*

*Police sirens begin to wail as the last sniper drops out of the trees with a cuss word. A small boy cowering in the bushes nearby hears it and begins to add it to his vocabulary, much to the dismay of his parents, who will later get a divorce over the matter...

The driver glances in the rear view mirror to see police cruisers a distance behind the Expedition. The man in the back seat opens the back window and pulls out an RPG. Aiming at the Expedition he fires, causing the Expedition to go up in flames. The fire causes the pol;ice cruisers to halt pursuit.*

Hamilton: Wh, wh, who the hell ARE you guys?!?!

*The man in the back looks at teh police chopper which is booming some order through a megaphone. He puts the RPG away and pulls out a Stinger*

Big Burly Tatooed Man: You're going to find out here in a little bit. We don't give TOO much away at once... For now let's just say we're some people that aren't too pleased with recent events...

Comrades, tonight I come before you to explain the events that took place off the coast of Viert Reich over the last couple of days. Fleets three and four have been pulled out of the waters surronding Viert Reich, and the naval blockade has been removed *Viewers all around the nation let out almost a simultaneous WTF???* It is true that our nation fired upon Viert Reich, but it was planned from the begginning, as a safe gaurd, the first volley of shells would be paint marker shells. This was to safe gaurd us from being left out to dry by a supposed ally, one that pledged co-operation, then turned around and stabbed our nations back and left us out to dry. Which brings me to my next point...

*Emperor Ed reaches of camera and takes a drink of "Water"*

At the beginning of this conflict, the nation of CoC was completly for this armed conflict, specifying that VR had gone to far in invading Par1s. They where also shocked and alarmed by the amount of military equipment that the nation bought, which, after discussing with the leader of VR is for defensive purposes only, to help defend against nations such as CoC. At this point in time, those forces are still steaming towards the region. Premier Wallace of the FotCoC, ceased military operations under the auspice of they grew tired of war. This is a totaly understandable option, War is not a pleasent thing and we do not strive for it, but to commit forces and drop bombs that convieniently turned out to be smoke bombs that made a peace symbol is completly un-acceptable. If CoC didn't want a war, they shouldn't of entered it, which by the way, they at first declared neutrality, then joined our fight, then once again changed their posistion, pulling out their troops without as much as a TM between our nation or Henceland Omega. CoC's fleets are still in position convienently enough, enforcing a blockade that no longer has a meaning, so I issue this ultimatum, if any of VR's equipment is siezed or fired upon by a Clan ship, there will be swift reperations.

The nation of Edenstein, and I personaly, thought that we where entering a new stage of co-operation between Council of Clans and our nation. I was severly mistaken, and for that I apologize to all of my nation. We try to see the good in foreign leaders but then their true self comes out. We truly hope that the new Premier of Clans is more Co-operative, and able to think rationaly about their actions before committing to them. To the people of Council of Clan, you are much better off now that premier Wallace is not running your nation, straining relations with two nations in this region that where still open to talks. We hope, that the new leader of your country will be more goal oriented to peace in the region.

*Emperor Ed, getting annoyed at his rubix cube, walks out onto the balcony of Edenstein palace. Looking around there are hundreds of people going about buisness as usual in the square holding candles and flashlights, due to the black out all over the region, they cheer as he comes into view of the crowd, Ed smiles then waves to the crowd, people always where in the square, it didn't matter what time of day it was, there was always people there. It was a reassuring thing for Ed, knowing that no matter what his people carried on. He looks to the crowd then holds up his index finger and walks back into his office, a few moments latter, The Emperor comes out of the palace wearing street clothes. The people don't make a big fuss over the Emperor, as he walks by them they say hello and he responds to them in turn*

*Emperor continues walking for a while, then eventualy makes it back to the pallace, but during his walk he has come up with an ingenious plan he goes back to the balcony with his uniform back on*

People of Edenstein! I have and an epiphany walking through the darkness that is this damn infernable poweroutage. Right now this region is in darkness, the nation of disgruntled postal workers is right, we shouldn't be having war in this region, it isn't a good policy... therefor, I am proposing a region wide forum, that each nation will send a delegate too... to discuss our regional issues before the get out of hand. If I am forced to send our sons and daughters, Aunts, Uncles, Mothers and Fathers off to fight, I want it to be for a hell of a good reason. I hope the other nations of the region will be open to this Idea. As a sign of our sincerity, I am ordering fleet four back to her home port of Raliegh. Reporter Willard Greenwood: Hello Carianada, I'm Willard Greenwood. In breaking news today, a blackout has plunged most of Carianada into darkness. Scientists are still looking into the cause of the blackout. Some believe that it was due to a power surge in the main plant in Amosopolis, but since phone lines were also cut out, the cause is still unknown. Power is slowly being restored, and Carianada Channel 2 is currently running on generators. And now here's Kirsten to tell us what's going on in the LETI Region.

Reporter Kirsten Parkinson: Thanks, Willard. Parts of the LETI region were also affected by the blackout, including parts of Edenstein, Spinkoslovakia, and Crippleslovenia. Reports from Henceland Omega are that there was enough power to run the palace and the country's many DDR machines, but many refrigerators, microwaves, and other appliances failed. Our own Emperor Riker was in the Imperial Palace when the power went out here. Generators returned power to the palace within minutes, but phone lines were never restored. We still do not have word from them, and it is unclear if Riker has made a stance on the recent fighting in Viert Reich. Riker declared war on the nation several days ago and mobilized troops to Edenstein; however, several other nations participating in the fighting pulled out, and some other strange events occurred. Carianadan troops are still in Edenstein, but no word yet on how far the fighting has escalated or how it has been affected by the blackout. This is certainly a strange situation, Willard.

Willard: Indeed. Well, we don't have enough power to go to a commercial break, so you guys will just have to watch me read poems for a couple minutes.

Kirsten: Oh, geez...

*As the UH-1 flies over the water skimming the waves, 2 F-16's that are flying low level close formation exercises, come upon the heliocopter which was not on their radar at mach 1.2 The Flight lead attempts to bank out of the way but he is too low and his wingtip missile launch rail clips the water and sends his fighter cartwheeling across the water at 700mph and breaks apart. The wing man also avoids the helicopter but debris from his flight lead is kicked up into his engines air intake flaming out the engine, he is able to call a mayday and eject before his fighter slams into the water*

Fellow citizens of CoC I have grave news to report, the other day while jogging in Eastway park here in Kent, Minister Hamilton was attacked and abducted. There has been no communication from the attackers on their demands or randsom. During the attack 13 men died and 3 were injured. Along with a number of attackers. WE WILL NOT LET THIS HAPPEN HERE!.
Due to this attack i am taking emergency powers and increasing the security around Kent. I am also allowing special forces to search any areas they believe that Hamilton was taken too. The police will now be given increased power, as well as all foreign nationals must report to a local police station or military base to have their documentation checked, and after that they have to report in by phone once every 48 hours.

The matter of the Viert Reich, I never agreed with Wallace's decision to send our troops and sailors there, the fleet that remains off of Viert Reich will resume its normal patrol of the Western Waters. Viert Reich I give my formal apology for what has happened between our nations and offer compensation of 2 Billion pounds. ($2 Billion)

I have also ordered increased spending for intelligence services. I am also ordering the increased training of our special forces, I look to triple the size of our special forces within two years. That includes our special air services, our naval frogmen, our rangers, and our anti-terrorist gamma forces. Members of these branches will get DOUBLE pay compared to normal soldiers of the same pay grade. I am also ordering our space program to start sending more satellites into orbit for weather observation and communication.

Suspicion suggests that may have caused the massive blackout. On the flip side, Spinkoslovakia's baseball stadium renovations have been completed. As it is an exact replica of the Roman Colosseum, the power outage did not dampen the progress, due to using the ancient building methods. Grandpa Ike had been spotted wandering around downtown Reomatopia within the last few days. Be aware of his wanderings and help direct him back to the assisted living home. As of the last spotting he was mumbling about looking for a shrubbery for the knights who say NI. Just disregard his ramblings.

Buffy Summers has been released from the Riverfront Centre Maximum Security facilities by being granted asylum. This national hero is to stay within the country. Warden Boling was not thrilled with having to let her go, but unwillingly surrendered to Leader Simshauser's request, thanks to Wesley.

The reparations investigation has been complete. It has been found that the large monetary donations were in fact counterfeit money. However, the money raised through the government bonds was real reserve notes. Simshauser and Lietzenheimerschmidt's cabinet are working on righting this. Meanwhile, all reparations are requested to be returned for the time being.

Luckily, I've been granted asylum in Spinkoslovakia, and Edenstein's also pledged to help the cause. *she nods to the two men beside her* This is Albert Cross of Spinkoslovakia and Pavel Chekov of Edenstein.
Carolyn: Nice to meet you.
*The men nod, all business*
Buffy: We're taking you back to Spinkoslovakia, where we're going to plan our attack on Riker.
Carolyn: But what about my citizens?
Buffy: We need to come up with the best attack plan so that no citizens will be hurt. And that means sneaking up on Riker and taking him hostage in the Imperial Palace. But we'll discuss this later... Tori Amos is in Spinkoslovakia tonight, and we need to attend the concert.

My people, today is a glorious day for Edenstein. Today, Edenstein forces have moved into the territory along our borders that once belonged to CoC. At one time, these lands once belonged to Willville and Cardenia, which where part of the Iron Curtain Quintet. We have kept a watchful eye on the happenings, and much like other nations in the region that ceased to be or moved from our region, the lands remain but the people, cities and material cease to be, our scientists are still trying to understand this.

We have moved 10 Armored divisions and various other infantry divisions to secure these lands, and we have also committed 3 divisions of Army Engineers to set up military bases, and to establish if the territory is suitable for habitation. People of Edenstein, This is a glorious day for Edenstein and for the people.

*Emperor Ed raises his hands then walks back into the palace, the crowd starts cheering profusely.*

*Dorrstein sends a colonists and small highly trained militas to secure a part of the island. *

The engine malfunction was caused by a blockage in one of the main fuel injectors, causing a catostrophic error. We have reason to believe she is still alive and well, at this point. I believe that Slotter has either gotten lost, given up, or who knows what else -- which is best for the Empress.

LS: Yes, I guess you are right. It's a shame that anyone would want to come into neutral teritory to make an assassination attempt.... I want 1/3 of our snipers and infantry out patrolling the nation looking for Slotter, or any other suspicious type folk that may be coming into Spinkoslovakia to do such heinous crimes.

Edenstein and Viert Reich we will not tolerate any invasion of our home soil, the bulk of my nation has left our home islands for new land that we have claimed but those islands that were left ARE STILL OURS, and any occupation of those lands will be considered an invasion of our homeland and will react as such. YOUR TROOPS MUST LEAVE NOW, or if i have to i will force them out, and call upon my allies to assist if needed.

2 Brigades from the 145th Airborne division are landing as we speak to secure the islands, they will explain to any foreign forces they come across to leave now or face serious repurcussions.


5 Carrier Battle groups have been ordered back in LETI to protect the homeislands from outside forces and currently 3 Armored divisions are on their way with several Airborne and Air Assault divisions leading the way.

[OOC]Hmmmmm, interesting spin on things Eden. Considering I never made threats to anyone. I merely stated that we will forcefully remove hostile military presence from the lands which belong to us. "We" and "us" being Sketch. Since you insisted on invading CoC's land, which is a very hostile act, that would make your invading force a hostile military presence. I have leased the land from CoC, and therefore have a right to be there. My treaty with him requires me to come intervene on his behalf when he is being assualted. I see no warmongering on our part here. A simple analysis of troop deployments will show who the warmongers are...........my troops, on my land; your troops, on CoC land. And your troops aren't CoC........get the picture?

btw, my being kicked from the region was a result of you (non-specific) being unable to handle my intervention and thus ignoring me. A "disruption" of the balance of power if I recall correctly.

We've got a block of 7 in the region, the reichs make up a block of 2, theres clans and my "alliance" making another block of 2, anf a few other nations that havent seem to allied with anyone but have no part in any hostile rp.. so doubt they matter any in terms of war.

Note: this count isnt including allies in which case ive fuc ked this entire region by having a few of those that are much too large.

So all in all ed dont call this a balance of power block to block wise, till sketch comes in then its balance in 2 out of the 3 blocks. Seeing as how its impossible for one nation to send their entire military on an international incident, that gives us about as much military power as all 7 of you. As for whats really making this unbalanced is the generals of each army.

You bitch about this being unbalanced but you have the largest army in the region. Still wayne kicked most of your asses in the septumvirate vs LOE/Clans war. With no help from LOE. Rather amazing for someone who was outnumbered 7/1, more so if you factor in all the actual populations at that time. I suggest you revise your tactics into something more usefull and efficent then draining a flooded basement with a thimble. As for all intents and purposes of the leti map. I was never informed about it so my nations position on that is in no way valid. I refuse to be landlocked. As for me leaving the region, im going to clear this up before anyone decides to start taking my land... i named my land a new region rather then be a part of of LETI, so no movement of my land took place just a re-organization if you will. So for intents and purposes im still here but ive closed my doors to LETI for the time being. Im not watching the souers getting pressured into kicking people from the region, a nation ive had no contact with comes out of nowhere and starts heckling me, cowards making nations to say what they need to grow enough balls to say, and a group people who think their entire presence is infallable. I honestly do not see what they are trying to prove, and why they cna't leave LETI alone. Ahem. How about you there?

we are only preparing to REPEL invaders. We only seek to protect what iours from other nations, even if it was a deforested barren wasteland, it is still OUR deforested Barren Wasteland, we may have moved our population but we NEVER renounced claim to the lands within this region. I apologize for any misconxeption you may have based on my previous public address. It was not my intention to "sway public opinion in my favor." For that matter, what exactly is "my favor?" I merely wish LETI to be left to its own to deal with its own affairs without intervention from outside sources. I admit that while I was not particularly pleased, I was willing to accept that you came to the aid of CoC when they ran to you for help. It is only natural considering they were fiercely outnumbered! And while tensions are far from over, progress has been made.

I do not understand what you are trying to prove, (and don't take that as an insult, just a quandary.) In the past few months, there have been terrible mistakes made on the parts of nearly all the nations in LETI. We have admitted those mistakes, and wish to move on. I have no problem with your keeping a garrison in LETI for defensive purposes, but I feel you have other reasons for staying here. Those reasons I do not comprehend. I feel as if you are staying merely to mock and scare the nations that were enemies with CoC, and show that you are the biggest baddest nation around. I'm not accusing your nation, I'm merely stating my observations. If you can enlighten me as to your true purpose, it would help clear things up.

PD: Greetings science fans! In just a few moments, the HELO shuttle will be touching down here at the ESA after a succesful 2 week mission in to earth orbit, now, the mission had to be held over due to meteorlogical problems, the region has been pelted with storms lately and today was the first day that it has been clear. Now the HELO shuttle's mission was to launch into orbit under its own power, complete 2 weeks of shake down maneuvers then land on its own, and today will be the culmination of this.

*Loud boom is heard which shakes the camera*

PD: That is the sound of the HELO shuttle dropping out of orbit and into earth's atmosphere at roughly mach 29, or 29 times the speed of sound. This baby is screaming! If we look up we should be able to see the shuttle high up, *Camera swings up and zooms in on tiny white dot streaming against the sky* Now the shuttle will make a series of "S" turns to slow it down even further, this process takes about 15 mins to complete. Now, Edenstein already has another varient of the shuttle the "HALO" or High Altitude Low Orbit, shuttle in the final stages of testing. and it will operate on the same principle as the HELO. This variant will probably be launched in a few weeks. Well be back with more live coverage of the final min's of this amazing test.

This is what each of the 10 Stations will look like. Each Station will be equipped with 3 High Intensity Radar Domes that will be able to scan out to a range of 650 miles. These stations which are ment to compliment our AWACS planes and our ASW sonar picket fence. These bases will also supplement our weather forcasting ability, and we have already signed a deal with LETI News to buy Airtime on the radar. *Aide rolls model infront of Easel*

As you can see, these bases will be large enough to land a helicopter on for the transporting of supplies and men. The base will hold a total of 70 personal, 50 Non Commissioned and Commisoned Air Force and Navy Personal and 20 Civilian Contractors to continue maintnence on the base. DR: Well they are being built on top of old Oil Platforms that we have purchased from private contractors, so that is a major cost savings for us, but we are projecting a total cost of 750 million for the Platforms and about 20 Million a year upkeep on them. DR: Well these stations will be built in our territorial waters. In our home waters and also around the Island of Capatillo. This will give us early warning to anything in the region and also first warning towards any outside threat. Also if any of our allies are intrested, we will either build them in their territory and keep them under our control, build them and sell them at cost of give them the plans, we also have plans for exporting these as well. *looks around and sees the only remaining hand is brokejaw* Ok what do you want?

The Federation of Celtic War Lords has, in a guesture of thanks to their ally and liberater Council of Clan, moved the Carrier Battle Group of the CWLS Leviathan, commanded by Rear Admiral Edward Thomas to CoC waters. Very well, I will move my forces an additional 200 nm offshore. However I will remind you that the range is pretty much irrelevant as your island is in range of aircraft and missles from my island anyway and vice versa. As I explained before, I have no relations with your nation and no beef with you as of the present time. I merely wish to train in unfamiliar waters as any good commander would.
