"I'm going for a wonder," Lucus whispered into Mathieu's ear as he wanted to get away fro being the centre of attention. If he became the centre of attention, he wasn't sure if he would be able to keep himself from exlpoding his secerts.

Lucus silently walked off out of the gym as he wanted to have a moment to himself. He blocked his mind and kept his secerts guarded as he walked quietly through the hallways. It wasn't because he missed Delphina this time, it was because he missed home and being with his friends. He looked about as he wandered the hallways until he came to a view of the Earth itself. His mind was active as he searched for answers. The relationship he had with Delphina was now at a major risk. Would she accept what others described as: 'A freak of nature'? Would she scream? How was she going to react? Lucus felt his heart sank as he attempted to clear his mind. He looked at his PDA's wallpaper and say the entire year group. That was the last photo they had together since everyone parted ways. He just wanted to be with them and stay with them forever. Then Delphina kept coming back to his mind as he watched the Earth spin slowly. He wanted to scream, he wanted to cry but his body kept dening him the emotions. Lucus had always known looks shouldn't matter but there was always the chance it could ruin a relationship. How would she feel about being with a werewolf? A small, thin tentacle came out of his back and up and over his shirt. His hand started to play with it before going back into his back. He didn't want the others to see him as he turned into a werewolf and silently watched the Earth. Lucus sat against the wall as his thought had one question:

'Would she accept me?' Lucus thought as his mind was closed to any outside mind readers.

Anna sat in the seat on the shuttle. She thought about Mathieu, and touched the Rosary.

The beads were burnt, and the cross was singed and scored.

"Mathieu..." she whispered. She felt a wave of shame roll over her, through her, How can I explain this? She looked at the Professor again, and she felt a wave of loneliness.

Mathieu... she wanted to see him very, very badly right now.

Anna sat in the seat on the shuttle. She thought about Mathieu, and touched the Rosary.

Delphina smiled warmly at Anna, scooting over and placing an arm around the girl's shoulders.

"There, there," she said soothingly. "Mathieu is a good, kind boy...if he gave that to you, it means he loves you, not some piece of wood and metal," she assured the girl.

Mathieu wandered the halls looking for Lucus. He spotted him and trotted over as he emo-ed by a large viewport.

"Hey, Lucus," Mathieu shout-whispered. "Did you hear? Their shuttles' returning!" his smile dropped a bit as he noticed his friend's expression, "What's wrong?"

By now Lucus was feeling a bit down as he pulled himself together.

"I just needed some space mate," replied Lucus as he got up from sitting down as he remembered every bit of advice he was given. "If anyone asks, I'm acting as moral support for you," smiled Lucus as he placed his hand on Mathieu shoulder as the pair headed for the hangar.

By now Lucus was feeling a bit down as he pulled himself together.

"I just needed some space mate," replied Lucus as he got up from sitting down as he remembered every bit of advice he was given. "If anyone asks, I'm acting as moral support for you," smiled Lucus as he placed his hand on Mathieu shoulder as the pair headed for the hangar.
Despite his immaturity, Mathieu knew when to push and went to play it cool. He nodded and led the way to the hangar, all the while trying to figure out what was bothering his friend.

"Hey, Lucus...I know you're whole thing is complicated," he hesitated, "But, I'm here for moral support, too, y'know...if something's worrying you...lemme know."

"The only reason its complicated is because society wants things to be more complicated than it seems," replied Lucus as the door to the hanger opened. "If this happened in Lynion, nobody would give a crap about it," added Lucus as he missed the days he was in Lynion. "Thanks buddy, I think we both need moral support," concluded Lucus as the door opened and the pair walked into the hanger to view the shuttle.

"The only reason its complicated is because society wants things to be more complicated than it seems," replied Lucus as the door to the hanger opened. "If this happened in Lynion, nobody would give a crap about it," added Lucus as he missed the days he was in Lynion. With that, Delphina smiled at the couple, finding herself side-by-side with Lucus.

"Cute, aren't they?" she giggled, suddenly aware of the distance between them. "Let's say we leave them alone, okay?" Delphina offered.

Anna snuggled into Mathieu's shoulder, and inhaled his smell with a sigh. She was happy again.

Rufus deflected the sword strike of the last soldier standing, knocking the blade from the legionnaire's hand. He made a light upward tap on the simulated soldier's chin, sending him flying into the ceiling and exploding in a burst of fireworks as the rest of the battle scene faded.

"Simulation ended. Victory Lannergan," came the baritone voice over the speakers. It didn't really matter, though. There was nobody there. Which was the way Rufus preferred.

As he left the simulation arena, he shoved the staff into his jacket, the full length fitting into the small pocket, snug against several daggers, a claymore, and a spear. And that wasn't counting the other pockets he had. His perspiration also vanished, the distinct smell of pine trees and grilled steaks remaining.

Anna snuggled into Mathieu's shoulder, and inhaled his smell with a sigh. She was happy again.
Mathieu smiled, feeling her warmness and softness. He stepped back a bit, raising his hand into view.

"Still got it," he smiled, referring to the ring on his finger. With that, he stepped forward and kissed her. There was a blue glow as static electricity sparked, giving Anna a slight tingling sensation and causing her hair to stand up.

Sareau watched Prof. Lannergan, and filed away what he'd learned by his observations. The exercise had been informative, if not quite what he hoped for, so he retired to his room and re-enacted the protocols to begin translating the scrolls there, making sure to instruct the computer to inform him of his next class.

"Half of the teenagers between the age of 16 and 17 from the population of the Vamperial Kingdom go through this process that...well...we become werewolves...and I'm part of that group and I've become a werewolf...but we keep our human form as well...," concluded Lucus. He was prepared for the screaming, the rejection and being tossed aside like a used pen. Even though the transformation was a natural thing in Lynion and its colonies, sometimes in other nations, the Lynion can be mistaken for a freak of nature and hunted down. Lucus knew the fastest way out of the station and was prepared to do it.

Josh had followed Mathieu out of the gym and had ended up in the hanger bay as well, not that he remembered how he got there. He watched Anna and Mathieu and amused himself by bending the light around them into a heart shape. He then looked to Lucus and Professor Davis. He had something he wanted to ask Professor Davis, but he didn't want to say anything. He thought about it, then lowered the barriers around his mind and shouted mentally outwards:Professer? Can i ask you something? In privite?

William slowly watched as everyone left except almost for him and Goltia. Deciding to come back later, he decided to see where everyone had went and ended up next to Josh watching Lucas, Delphina, Anna, and Mathieu reunite. "Do you think they notice?" he whispered, hiding a snigger at Josh's theatrics.

OOC: Lucus and Delphina aren't in the hanger anymore.

Seeing the gym almost empty, and not being very socially capable with girls, he said
"See ya Goltia." before converting and darting off to the cafeteria.

Delphina heard Josh's statement, and though she wished to be as helpful as always, her heart wavered.

Once they were alone, Delphina's heart leapt as he took her hand. The way he concluded...she felt Lucus was expecting some horrible response.

"Do you think me that wicked...?" Delphina looked into his eyes. Her free hand moved up and cupped his cheek. "It is not beauty without that brought me to you...but the beauty here," she touched his heart, smiling. "Has this been worrying you all this time?" Delphina asked, knowing the answer even without her telepathy. She reached forward and hugged him to her.

"I don't think of you as evil," replied Lucus as he felt Delphina's warm hand against the side of his cool cheek. "I..." started Lucus as Delphina words put his away as he listened to his soft words and the touching of her hand against his heart. His heart raced as he looked her into her eyes as her last question made him think. "I was worried about this when the transformation happened," explained Lucus as he hugged her gently. "For the Lynion Race, its natural of us to do this. However, some nations will see us as a freak of nature and attempt to either hunt us or experiment on us," explained Lucus. "Yes I was worried since I transformed. I didn't know what my peers would do, what the teachers would do and what you think about it..." concluded Lucus as he hugged her gently. "I'm thankful for seeing through my appearance," smiled Lucus as he hugged her gently.

Delphina hugged him back, comforting him as best she could. It seemed a bit strange to her, knowing that the boundaries they were near were quite close to being crossed. She knew in her heart what she wanted, but kept her feelings in check. Delphina pulled back to look at him.

"Well...you might have to shave," she joked, tempted to kiss him. She caught herself at the last moment, kissing Lucus' cheek instead.

Lucus enjoyed her hugs as he treasured each moment like the last. Lucus felt they were going to cross a line they haven't crossed before and he felt he wasn't ready for it as Delphina pulled back and looked at him. She gave him a remark that made him smile as he stroked his chin.

"I do need a shave..." started Lucus as he was suddenly kissed by Delphina. He suddenly felt he was in heaven as his mind started to treasure that moment. Lucus felt he was else where far from the horror and peer presure. He smiled happliy as he blinked a couple of times and return to reality. "That...that was sweet..." started Lucus as he kissed her back on the cheek while resisting the temptation to kiss her on the lips. For now, he needed to control himself and how far he's prepared to go with Delphina.

Delphina blushed. Once he'd stopped, she looked back into his eyes. "Thank you...for your...discresion," she hesitated. "There are things I must do...and others which I desire to...but...I have to be careful," she reminded him.

Lucus blushed after kssing her as he listened to her. He understood what she meant and that she wanted to save herself.

"That's cool with me," replied Lucus. "I wasn't sure if I was ready for going any further Delphina. I just don't want to rush...and do something stupid. Thanks for understanding me Delphina,"

She hugged him, and giggled when the kiss broke, "Tingly." she said, "Let's go back to my room..." Anna said it both suggestively, and possessively, "I think there's a kitchenette on my floor, I'll make you a dinner...or we could just phone one in-I'm starved."

"Either way, a dinner for two sounds nice," Mathieu smiled warmly, getting in step as they headed off. Mathieu took her hand in his nervously, "I can always cook...well, sort of. Most of the cooking I did was over an open fire, so..." he chuckled. He was wondering how best to tell her he wasn't ready.

"Same here...with the kiss," replied Lucus with a chuckle. "So how was your trip to the surface?"

"Hrm...unpleasant," Delphina frowned, resting her head on his shoulder. "They didn't seemed concerned with the information we had...hmm, I'm not sure if I can say anymore. It was an official investigation, after all." She sighed, "How were you, then? Any news from the station?" Delphina asked.

"Hmm...I dont want to train, mate,"said Josh."And if your going to do something about my sis, you better do it soon. Else she might find someone that she likes."

Walking away from William, Josh walked out of the hanger and started going back to his dorm.

"Nothing much has happened from the station," replied Lucus as he watched the Earth move slowly with them. "Just the usual school things, classes etcra. Everyone is trying to keep out of trouble these days," smiled Lucus as he watched the station orbit around the Earth silently. He stroked her hair again as he wondered what he should say next. "You wanna go get something to eat?" Lucus asked Delphina.

Josh went back to the gym and found the simulation room. After reading the instructions, he said:"Start simulation. Location: Parabola Cove, Terrva." He then shut his eyes as a burst of sunlight hit them. Opening them, he saw a beach of redish sand and open waves crashing against cliffs. Smiling, he walked down to water and stepped into it. He stood there for a while, hair flicking in the wind, before ending the sim and leaving. He then headed to the cafeteria and grabbed a meat pie, eating it as he walked back to his dorm. His thoughts were something that they hadn't been for a long time: clean and pure. Josh thought about it for a moment, then lowered the barriers around his mind, if not all of them.

"That's ok," replied Lucus knowing there was somethings people couldn't explain. "I'm feeling better after my transformation but part of my body is still regenerating," replied Lucus as he stroked her hair gently while her head sat nicely on his shoulder. Delphina hesitated. She put a gentle hand on his chest and smiled.

"Sure..." she answered, straightening herself up, "But, Josh asked to speak with me," Delphina explained. "Why don't you go on ahead and I'll meet you. That way, it'll look less suspicious," she offered.

Josh got to his dorm then remembered that he had asked to see Professor Davis, so he started jogging towards her classroom, finishing his pie as he did so. Reaching the door, he knocked but didn't get a response. He then leant against the wall beside the door and waited.

Delphina hesitated. She put a gentle hand on his chest and smiled.

"Sure..." she answered, straightening herself up, "But, Josh asked to speak with me," Delphina explained. "Why don't you go on ahead and I'll meet you. That way, it'll look less suspicious," she offered.


"Sure," replied Lucus as he took her hand from his chest and smiled. "That's understandable. I'll see you in the lunchroom," smiled Lucus as he silently walked away from Delphina while waving back at her.

Lucus felt both troubled and confused as he started for the lunchroom. He kept his mind lock and his thoughts to himself as he suddenly missed Lynion and home. It wasn't the fact he wanted to be with his mates again, it was how confusing the Humans had their society based. He wasn't sure what was wrong with being an older woman. Maybe it was the culture difference that was between the two and the different views of both society. He remembered somewhere he skimmed over a news article. It was about the exile of the Lynion Humans. It was talking about Human Rights etcra and how badly it ended. Lucus asked his father about it and afterwards, he agreed that the Lynion Humans had to be banished. Lucus felt something similar might happened and he wanted to avoid it so he decided he keep it a secert from his peers. He quietly drank some blood as it tasted sweet again. Maybe something could be done about it.

Ziyo sat in the lunchroom munching on something that clearly didn't originate on earth. He honestly wasn't sure what it was, but it tasted pretty good.
Looking off to the side, he saw Lucus walk in, and he raised his hand in greeting.

'Ahh crap,' thought Lucus as his mind was lock after he noticed Ziyo coming into the lunchroom. 'Ziyo better not ruin anything,' concluded Lucus as he waved back in greeting.

Josh got bored with waiting and pulled out his music player. Putting both headphones in, he turned on his favorite song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4Ga8hMkH0k) and turned it up so that he couldn't hear anything around him.

Dinner wound up being take-out Pizza from the Cafeteria, eaten in Anna's quarters.

"Oh hey Professor,"said Josh, pulling the earphones out."I need help. I think i'm going mad. I know that i put up an insane act, but thats my way of coping with being around people i don't know. But sometimes I hear voices when there isn't anyone around and see things that shouldn't be... And sometimes, when i'm asleep, I hear thoughts in my head. thoughts that arnt mine or Goltias...Whenever that happens, when i wake up i have a very painful headache...When it comes to me or my body, i'm usually in the know. But this...this is beyond me..."

Delphina padded into her classroom, sensing that Josh was inside.

Mathieu felt a bit weird being so 'homely' with Anna, but it was pleasant, too. He set up their plates as she sorted through her mail, looking up at her exclamation. He put down what he was doing and looked at the letter.

"From home?" he asked.

Anna nodded, "From...home." she was clearly not very enthusiastic, but she tore the envelope open.

She read the message, and then, she read it again.

"Mathieu...this is...it's important. It's in about a month, but it's important." she said, and showed him the letter.



Dear Anna

As you are no doubt aware, your younger brother William has served as the leader of Clan McCall since 1979. For the last five years, his behaviour has been increasingly erratic, and decisions have been increasingly less effective.

We have found out why-he is suffering from Alzheimer's syndrome, and symptoms are growing worse.

The Family Elders will meet next month on the 25th to choose a new Clan Leader. As an Elder, you are required to attend this Moot, or lose your holdings.

"Well, where i'm from, you give pieces of jewellery to your partner when you want to be serious about the relationship,"said Josh, flicking out his pendent from underneath his shirt."The most common thing that gets given is a pendent. I got give mine about a month before i got captured. Each pendent has a different meaning. Mines the Blade of Auron. It represents the Warrior, the Protector. Ziyo, who was still in the lunchroom, saw Delphina sitting with Lucus. Though he couldn't hear them, it was still unusual, at least from his experience, for a teacher and student to be hanging out after class.

Ziyo suddenly felt really uncomfortable. Though he hadn't heard anything, he had still seen several glances in his direction, none of them with a benevolent look on them.
What did I do this time? It's not like I killed someone. But I do know that if I was caught with a teacher, I would have been ridiculed the entire time I was at school. This might be worth staying up-to-date on.
Deciding that leaving would look suspicious, as though he was eavesdropping on them, he decided to stay where he was.

"Hey, do we have more classes today or are classes done for the day?"said Josh

"Hello Ziyo," started Lucus as he glanced at Ziyo as he made his drink.

Meanwhile

The shuttle landed in the hanger bay as an overweight bloke stepped out. His eyes darted about as he started for his dorm. His name was Alex Smith and even though he lacked average fitness level, he had fantastic brute strength and limited control over metal. He didn't wanted to intercept someone at the moment as he found his dorm and dumped his bags on his bed. Alex sighed as he left his dorm and headed towards the lunchroom.

Goltia had found a nice place in the hanger bay where she could sit and think. The place happened to be in the rafters of the hanger bay, about 100 feet off the ground. Not the Goltia cared. She was sitting up there having a smoke while she heard the shuttle land and looked down to see some big bloke get out of the shuttle.
Hmmm....Must be another student thought Goltia, before leaning back against a beam and puffing on her smoke

"It might be a bit strong," stated Lucus as he pulled all the drinks in the lunchroom. He took 5 drinks aside and put the rest away. "It's not an alocholic drink mind you," joked Lucus as he noticed Alex entered the room. A cold stare was given to Lucus by Alex while Lucus turned back to his cocktail. "For colour, we use a splash of coke," concluded Lucus as he stirred the cocktail togther. "It'll taste sweet and it may be a tad strong," pointed out Lucus as he handed Ziyo the cocktail. Meanwhile, the new student was watching Lucus as he started to have his lunch.

"Its Human Blood," joked Alex after over hearing what had happened earlier. "They love Human flesh," added a serious Alex.

"It's 5 soda's and a bit of bitter to bring out the strength. Coca-Cola is added to make the colour darker," stated Lucus after he realised that Alex was going to give him trouble. "It's a Lynscet Cocktail best served with three blocks of ice and there's no Human blood or flesh in it," concluded Lucus.

"I would hope not. But it tastes good."

"Sure," added Alex as he was waiting for Lucus to swallow the bait. "Everybody knows his kind loves Human flesh and blood," stated Alex as he stood up with his sandwich and headed to the door. "Its their favourite dish," added Alex as he left with a grin on his face.

She hugged Mathieu affectionately, and added, "YOU need to get your Ethics paper written, study for the next test, and work on a class project-for grade-I expect that whatever was in the session I missed today is going to require a lot of work, and lazing around with your girlfriend isn't getting your work done, while I have to write a report on my observations from my field-study with Professor Davis, review financial and real-estate reports from my Lawyer and Financial advisor, make travel arrangements for next month, catch up on whatever other classes I'm registered for and missed out on today, and get some sleep at some point before the next class."

Ziyo decided that he should probably get some sleep as well, and wandered off to his dorm wondering what a werewolf was. He didn't really have a great international understanding. Living in the Shogunate hadn't really helped much.

Lucus pulled out his completed homework and placed it in his draw. He quietly rested his head on his pillow and silently drifted off to sleep. For once he knew a bit of peace as Delphina entered his mind. He could picture her coming towards her and then he realised something. Hanger 2 went through his mind as he suddenly woke up. Staggering to get up, he dressed himself in something decent and headed down to Hanger 2. Lucus glanced about as he ran into Alex.

"I didn't expect to see you here," started Alex as Lucus looked at him.

"Same to you," smiled Lucus only to have a piece of metal pointed at his thoart.

"Good to know you remember me," smiled Alex as he pushed the piece of metal closer to Lucus. "I expect you to stay out of my way, you know? Because if you do, I'm going to find out your little secert. People will be wondering if its safe to have a man eater in the school. Remember, stay out of my way," snapped Alex as he made his right hand into a gun and pretended to shoot Lucus.

'Bastard,' thought Lucus as he watched the stars from a nearby window. 'Maybe I should leave her... no! Just because he demands doesn't mean I'll do it. I've beaten him before and I can do it again,' concluded Lucus as he watched the stars while waiting for Delphina to arrive.

Sareau found the arena typical of Lord Shilling's fight circuit-full video feeds around a transparent cage of near indestructible material where super-powered opponents fought it out.

The current match was the Blizzard of Odd Cameron had won so much money on, and Sareau approached, keying in an appropriate bet to his seating. Imagine his surprise to see the Blizzard of Odd was none other than his ally Cameron Makhent.

"Your boy is fairly good-vicious in a scrap." came a rich plummy voice from behind him.

"Good to know, Your Lordship." Sareau didn't bother to turn-Lord Shilling had a liking for disguise, and only his knowing the man practically from birth brought about this meeting. Shilling and Papau were friends, members of the original Injustice Gang even after it fell apart under conflicting egos. Though the two men never teamed again, they and the Thinker remained friends throughout their lives. In truth, Sareau couldn't remember which was his godfather. "He's wanted in Turkey-the Hagia Sophia robbery."

"Such a good boy-knowing I'd already know and coming clean. Old Wizard Whately taught you manners." The Baron of Shilling chuckled and laid a fatherly hand on Sareau's shoulder, directing his gaze towards the match. "Good muscle-vicious streak. And he is very much in awe of you, Clytus. Are you forming another Injustice Gang, perhaps?"

"Perhaps more a gentleman's club." Sareau answered. "More of a society than a gang. Though he'll probably be my number two."

"Good choice-would you like to test his loyalty?"

"No, if I cannot trust him, he'll reveal that long before we get off the ground." Sareau watched with some amusement that Cameron had ended the career of his opponent via multiple impalement. "Does he do that often?"

"Not often enough to annoy me." Lord Shilling answered. "And that was a contract job-he's very good at them. Could you find more like him?"

"I do have access to quite a few supers, though I don't know they'd be fit for an arena." Sareau replied slowly. "I can ask around, though-after I've spoken with Cameron."

"Cameron? Oh, he told me his name was Ken Marcus--doubtless your doing? I didn't even suspect his papers were forgeries."

"I know a guy."

"Through me, boy-and do not forget it."

"Never, Uncle-I'm too indebted to you for scouting out prospective members for my little society...and besides, Papau would never forgive me shunning one of his oldest friends." Sareau smiled beneath his mask. "I'll get on a little recruiting drive for you, but it will be quid pro quo."

"Little scamp." Lord Shilling sneered. "Your grandfather always cut a deal in blood as well-he'd be proud. Give me a few for the arena, and I'll toss you a few trustworthies, then."

See yah!" walking into William, he said:"She's in the hanger bay if you wanted to know. now, if you excuse me, i want to sleep." Walking past William, he found his room and stepped inside, bolting it shut in the process. After changing into his sleeping clothes, he jumped onto his bed and drifted into a sleep riddled with the thoughts of other people.

"Oh. Um, well, thanks." William mentally blocked out his mind from others and to others, and then tried to find the hangar. He walked around quite a bit before finding a map and then heading toward the hangar, he decided to see if he could go up on the rafters, and take a look at the view. Then he realized Goltia was up there. Oh great. Might as well do this sometime. He walked up some stairs and saw her at the other side. He decided to stay at this end for a bit and wait to see if she'd notice him.

Below him, he didn't notice Delphina and Lucas, not quite yet.

Goltia had fallen asleep in the rafters in the hanger bay and was now just waking up. She heard voices drifting up from the floor but didn't really care. She looked around, then sat up against the bean again and went back to sleep.

Goltia did roll around in her sleep every once in a while. It just so happens that she did while she was asleep on the rafter. Waking up, she tried to stop herself from falling but couldn't. She did manage to grab onto the edge of the rafter and pull herself back up.
"S**t, that was close,"remarked Goltia, heart racing.

"Maybe one day I can show you Lynion," offered Lucus as he held her hand gently.

When Lucus gets to his dorm, he'd find Mathieu already in their room, freaking out as he tried to write the essay, wadded up sheets of paper strewn about the room.

Goltia saw someone watching her in the rafters and decided to see who it was. She tried to get a running start to jump to where they were but misjudged the amount of space and stepped off the edge
"Oh this just isn't right,"said Goltia, before tipping over the edge and falling about 100 feet. Lucky she was the twin that got the kinetic powers. Flipping once, she slowed herself down and landed on the ground on her feet.

"Hey," smiled Lucus. "Remember my offer when the holidays come," concluded Lucus as he left Hanger 2.

William quickly rushed off the rafters and headed downstairs to the floor as fast as he could. "Goltia? Are you ok?"

"Ummm... ok." William tugged at it until it popped off. "Your toes are broken, you said?"

"OW! yes...."said Goltia, quickly yanking off her sock. two of her toes were bent at rather painful angles."damnit...gonna have to put them back in place....s**t, this is gonna hurt..." Pulling a handkerchief out of her pocket, she folded it and put it in her mouth. she then bent down, and quickly popped one of her broken toes back into its right angle, the handkercheif stopping her from biting her tongue off and swearing. she then quickly did the other one, pulled the handkerchief out of her mouth, and said:"Hellfire, that hurt...."

"Whoa," said William as he stood up, offering his hand to Goltia. "That was... wow... I dunno... kinda awesome."

Goltia tried to put some weight on her leg but found it extremely painful and collapsed onto the floor.
"Help. Anyone. I cant walk..."said Goltia.

"Ohh blast," muttered Lucus as he got up from his bed. "I dropped something of mine in the hanger. I'll be back in a sec Mathieu," explained Lucus as he left his dorm.

He must've dropped it while he was talking to Delphina. It was a small battery that he use's to make contact with his frineds on his PDA. He moved through the hallways while he started to wonder where it was dropped. Lucus entered the hanger quietly and scanned the floor. He pulled out his PDA and shed some light in the darker corners before finding the small device in the corner he was talking with Delphina.

"Blasted thing," muttered Lucus as he adjusted the light so he could see the device. "You little beauty," smiled Lucus as he recieved a clear signal from Lynion. "I'll have to fix you later when I get some time," he smiled as he put it back into his pocket. He was about to leave when he noticed Goltia. "What's wrong with your foot?" Lucus asked Goltia as he saw her foot was injuried somehow.

"owww...i fell from the rafters....I broke some toes. those i can handle. But i think i also fractured my leg..."said Goltia, trying with all her might not to scream in pain.

"Let me help you to the medical bay," offered Lucus as he looked over her leg and toes. "They'll have something to help you with the injuries,"

"ye....yeah..."said Goltia, trying to get up but falling back down."OW! So...painful...."

Anna waited long enough to be fair-certain that she would be undisturbed, then, she hooked her laptop (an imported machine with Sudovan-native software) to the station's network, and, passing the signal through, to a ground station, and from there, across phone-lines and cables, to her homeland.

The site had 1086 encryption, so it took it a few seconds to establish the link.

She typed in a password, and was connected to her E-Messenger.

There were 152 unread messages-mostly from people living in the McCall Canton.

The machine had had anti-virus software installed by technicians trained in the Duchy of Rechburg. She deleted a number of viruses that came in the headers, and started going over the messages.

Being an Elder in a Strong-ish Clan was a bit like finding out you've been involuntarily appointed to a National Government. Most of the messages were lobbying for her help in passing this or that minor measure, a few were requests for street repairs, or demands that the Clan's Elders intercede with the National School System to change this or that bit of the curriculum.

She filed the "Lobby Letters" to a separate frame on the display, and read over the others.

eight had images. A statue honouring Hel, the goddess of the Underworld was being e-mailed around, and she looked at the image...and almost choked on her tea.

It was her face on the statue. She checked to see who was responsible-and found a Nephew, Lars, had been the one to commission it. "Lars...lars...lars..." she shook her head. Lars had fed her into the wood-chipper, and if I'd been a Daugr or part of Magritte's Army, it would have worked, too...

"Oh, that's definitely GOT to go." she muttered. The next E-mail showed a number of shrines to the Lady of the Dead...and they had her picture in place of the usual idols, along with pleas of a different sort-pleas for lost loved ones mostly.

Anna felt a huge weight descending on her shoulders. It's too much! I'm just a regular Person!! her heart wailed. "Those have definitely GOT to go."

"Try and not to stand by yourself," stated Lucus as he helped her up. "Put your weight onto my shoulders and try and keep the injuried leg off the ground. If you need extra support, just say so,"

"kay...thanks..."said Goltia, putting a arm around Lucus's shoulders and keeping her leg off the ground.

Lucus felt her weight fall onto his shoulders as he helped her up. "All we need to do is to take the shortest route from here to the medical station," smiled Lucus they started for the medical station. "Now, how did you broke your toes?"

"I kinda...fell from up there,"said Goltia, pointing at the rafters 100 feet above them.

"What were you doing up there?" Lucus asked as they cleared the hangers and headed down the hallway towards the medical station.

"I...was sleeping..."said Goltia."I like being alone..."

"That's what dorms are for," replied Lucus as they came to the medical station. "Just out of the blue, why do you like being alone?" Lucus asked as the door to the medical bay opened.

"I'm a loner...I like just disappearing into the woods for weeks at a time,"said Goltia."I'm a good huntsmen...or Huntswomen, as it were."

Ice had been wandering the heals for quite some time trying to figure out exactly where everything was and what was going on. Due to a slight mix-up in time Zones he had apparently arrived during the middle of the night and had been wandering for quite some time. He turned yet another corner to see the first two people he'd seen all night going through a door.
"hey!" Ice called out, "Can you guys help me out with something?"

"Hunter eh?" replied Lucus as they came to the main door. "Any good at tracking? I used to hunt in my spare time. I used to track animals in the mountains and the forests," smiled Lucus trying to make her feel relax. "That was fun. Eight of us would go out and track for a while see what we can catch," added Lucus as somebody caught his attention from behind. "I'll be with you in a second," called out Lucus as he placed Goltia on a medical bed. "The doctor will be here soon to look at your condition. I need to go check on the other guy," replied Lucus while trying not to sound like he was ditiching her. He went back out into the hallway and found the student that called to him earlier. "Dorms are down that hallway and its on your left if that's what your after," guessed Lucus.

Delphina waited until Lucus had left the room to talk to another student to slip discreetly into the medical bay. She tried to act as if her reason for being there was merely concern...well, technically, that was true.

"Goltia...are you okay?" Delphina asked.

"Oww...yeah...had worse,"said Goltia, trying to smile but failing."thank god Josh is asleep. Otherwise, he would be in here asking for pain meds."

Sareau left Cameron in good hands-Lord Shilling was many things, but he wouldn't destroy a commodity useful to a friend...so long as he could access it himself.

Of course, the issue was now to find His Lordship some fighters, and Sareau could only think of one who wouldn't be missed...

Anna opened the next attachment-and saw a scanned copy of passport logs, tickets out-country, and an airline sign-in.

There were also the returned stubs of money-orders and cashier's cheques from a bank in England. something smelled very wrong.

"I'm going to need help with this one." Anna muttered, "Lots of help."

Delphina was sipping a coffee as she walked down the corridors alone. She was trying to come to terms with her own feelings about Lucus. Why had she, a grown woman, suddenly start to get jealous like some teenage girl? She berated herself.

"Okay..." Delphina said, though her heart was hurt at the casual way he spoke. Now she didn't know what to think.

"What is it you want?" he snarled

"Oh, the usual-a little song, a little dance...my enemies heads on a lance." Sareau joked, casually toying with the lock on Kagai's cell. "However, right now, it isn't what I want, but a friend of mine.

"You see, there's a bareknuckles, all powers fighting circuit I know of that could use a man like you, and it would allow you more freedom than this station, as well as the opportunity to hone your powers in combat.
