My military has practicaly no armor (as such there isn't any in theatre) or fixed wing aircraft, and consists almost entirely of light infantry and its support. I'll try to get the frontage per unit up soon.

The active countermeasures I put up into the design were in no way intended to wank to that sort of extreme. Cancellation was only ever intended as a last resort kinda thing, when decoys were expended. I can see the IR suppression measure work against old tail-chaser missiles, but not nearly as well as LH claims, especially not against all-aspect missiles. Since, after all, heat from airframe friction is impossible to deal with.

Call him out on it... but know that a massive salvo like that is a pretty bad idea since your ammunition supplies are exhausted and thus leave you vulnerable to the followup attack by LH's Sparrows (also built by myself).

In addition to the question above, and in order to keep you from having to read 50,000 pages, I'll put up my post from yesterday that I would need continued in order for me to continue in that area. I've been trying to divert my budget into the army. Not to mention, any natio nworth it's sovriegn salt would put money in the army at a time like this.

No, but it's very possible to plug an AT warhead into the design, and produce that. Now, I'll most likely retreat when my missiles only take out one ship, but the land defenses will be a lot tougher.

Big, powerful engines pumped by the onboard fusion reactors. You do know I'm PMT, right? The engines on the ships are Tesla Turbines, which only need power, and not fuel-- ideal for my purposes.

Just as an FYI, Pythogria, the orbital gun strikes do not release kinetic energy equivalent to a nuclear weapon (whoever thinks ortillery does that is silly), but they will mess up what they hit. Some of them will miss, due to inherent accuracy problems at that range as well.

OOC: My planes use specialized cold plasma systems that absorb radar waves, as explained in their profiles, which are linked in the OOC thread. Your craft have no such systems.

Not to mention they can be picked up in other ways, such as stellar occlusion, LIDAR, or even infrared, since their engines produce heat.

The fleet's StA launchers lazily turned around to meet this new 'threat' which was still laughably far away, and unloaded two StA missiles per enemy fighter. They were still far enough away that they couldn't do any damage to the Whyatican fleet, and if they got any closer, warplanes would be reassigned to them.

What are your StA missiles based on? do they rely on heat signatures, lasers, radar? I need to know before i can appropriate losses.

Multiple salvoes of Mjollnirs launch from the fleet, and 68cm linear gun shots from the cannons mounted on Peacekeeper Heaven, Axis Nova's L1 space station, rain down all across the southern coast of Pythogria, aimed at bunkers, harbours, strongpoints, defensive positions, radar sites, power plants, missile fields, and airstrips, but especially concentrating on the islands that have Meslop and Gria upon them.

Speed does not neccesarily imply maneuverability.

They're massive, and thus take time to turn.

They do take some time to accelerate, tis true. Several minutes to get to their usual cruising speed.

Note that most of my designs (as noted in my tech thread, which was linked earlier in this thread) are VTOL, with the exception of the destroyer class-- it requires one hell of a runway to land and take off, and can only do so in Axis Nova, Numonica, Bretton, and a few other locations.

I'd think that they'd mostly have to be VTOL to have a large store of them...otherwise half a nation would be landing strips.
