We've never been a fond friend of imperialism. And with your home guard mobilizing we've decided that these poorly armed people need a better chance. We hereby have recieved authorization to give you an aid package consisiting of 20 million AK-74 Assualt Rifles, 5 million M1 Carbines, 5 million FMK-3 Submachine Guns, and 10 million M-1911 pistols. We have also approved a 15 million Claymore contract if you provide us with a small fee of $15 million US. We can disguise it as a routine car shipment, and have the guns packed into "car frames" for more covert delivery. It can be done in 2 weeks if given enough time and clearance at your airbases/airports. We can also deploy "technical advisors" to your country and educate people in the use of these weapons and guerilla tactics. At most it'll cost you $15 million to have your nation armed to the teeth and trained. Just give us authorization and Sung Car Industries Aircraft will be delivering "Jaju Model 1993 Sedans" to your nation in only 24 hours.

And with that response the covert airlift began. As long as the run-ways are still functional then planes can land during the day (this is the military, not some commercial service). So it would only take 24-38 hours for all the troops to arrive.

OOC: Please be more clear when talking about actions taking place in foreign terrotory. The Torontian Northern border has been closed for awhile... And yes, it would be about 12 soldiers, a light armored vehicle, and a .50 (that is the average check-point). However, the Torontian Northern border is a real border, a border of a former Toltalitarian State (chain-link fences, gates, machine gun nests and mine fields).

OOC to Stoddenia: There are 700+ ships patrolling Torontia's national waters. No unidentified plane, unless it was a super stealth (which you cannot afford), could fly over Torontia's territorial waters without being shot down. They could be dropped out-side the territorial waters, but that is much too far a distance to swim. I am not being nit picky, the infiltration you described is impossible under the present reality. In addition, Amestria is expecting your delegations attempt to enter the country because your government announced it on worldwide television, they just do not know the details.

50 miles is not that far, hell a car can travel 50 miles in one hour. Taking into account it is not a strait path and the logistics involved, I hold my timetable of deployment within a week to be quite realistic. This is a military operation, and they do not care if the airports do not have electricity, as long as they have runways day time flight are going on in addition to ground and sea travel. They do not just all arrive at once...

As martial law is in effect and there is an active insurgency, large gatherings of any kind are not permitted. Those who attempt to organize or take part in protests will be arrested and charged with disturbing the public order and disobeying government emergency decrees (to be punished by 20 years in prison with no parole; and every local citizen has been made aware of that.)

We have agreed to a very hasty shipping agreement with the nation of Leafanistan. They will be presenting us a number of automobiles in rather large wooden crates. All flight restrictions CODE for aircraft with Leafanistan markings are to be lifted temporarily while our nation takes shipment of this large boon. We are to recieve enough automobiles to bolster our militia force immensely. Further more, these automobiles are strategic, in that they will assist us in defending our revolution should it become necessary. All District and City Commanders are to attend a briefing on distribution of these automobiles throughout the Districts, to be provided to the people to use should our nation be attacked.

Additionally, we will be welcoming engineers from Leafanistan to our country to instruct all staff, field and General grade officers and Staff NCO's in the maintenence and strategic employment of these automobiles. As automotive mechanics is not one of our specialties in this nation, it is important that we learn about this machine to further our revolution at home and to defend its gains abroad.

The government will be meeting with a representative of Leafanistan's military industrial complex to discuss other options in trade between our two nations. The terms of the current sale to Stoddenia are these automobiles for 15 million dollars US. This money will come out of our 2.8 billion doc "Government waste fund", where our budget surpluss makes its way to.

We invite our state department to meet the arriving trade delegation from the Leafanistan automobile factory in Oatmeal City for further trade negotiations. A high level meeting of all government officials still in country to discuss the situation abroad will occur at 6 am tomorrow morning in our offices here in Stoddenia City.

In sum, we are taking possession of strategic automobile surplusses from Leafanistan. We are suspending the CODE of restrictions for all airbases to facilitate this lease. The people of Stoddenia are to learn from militia commander how to use these automobiles and will employ them if our nation finds itself at war. Those to whom these automobiles are issued to are to take them to work, but we do not anticipate this will make much difference in traffic situations nation wide. Officials from Leafanistan will be in country to provide instruction on the maintenance and employment of these vehicles. They will discuss sales of other sorts of vehicles when they arrive and we have the opportunity to inspect the quality of the vehicles.

Anyway, What he said is that the Nation of Stoddenia has brought some tactical weaponry from Leafanistan. At that price it must not have been something like a tank or anything, but probably consists of small arms and ammunition to better arm our populace. It will be arriving in Stoddenia via a mass shipment of automobiles from Leafanistan, and actually should begin arriving probably right about now. District leaders are to go to the airports and take control of this casche, though what is to become of the automobiles is unclear, from the code anyway. Additionally, we are recieving military advisors that will instruct our commaners on the maintenence and use of this weaponry. They are there to discuss trade of some other things, but will primarily be technical advisors. I don't know what else they could be there for, but if they are military advisors, they are not necessary, as our country could teach any country in the world a thing or two about a populist insurgency.

I am telling you this so you are aware that he is not just going crazy there in Stoddenia. He has concluded negotiations that will be very beneficial for our nation. Sicne we are associated, it is important that you know precisely why the President is getting on the television and explaining things like this. And since we are nearing Torontian waters, Amestria has blocked all communications from out of the country, and so you, nor anyone else in Torontia, for that matter will have heard this over your television.

The following interview with General Basque Gran of the Amestrian Occupation Authority was made and broadcast on Torontian and Amestrian Television.

Interviewer: “General Gran, what is behind the violence in BC?”

General Gran: “Bad sportsmanship, a ruthless minority of people who don’t want to play the game, who can’t stand to see the other person win. These malcontents and former New Order elite were armed by Mckagan and the Lone Alliance during their illegal occupation of the North. They have disparate goals, ranging from the reestablishment of the New Order to the breakup of Torontia. They are people who could not win through the political process.”

Interviewer: “General Gran, they have been effective in causing violence.”

General Gran: “By our estimates, there are less then a thousand people involved in the uprising. We are not using our air power, do you know why? Because there are no opposing forces, there are no battle lines; just a few gun slinging, bomb-making thugs who are targeting Torontia and Amestria’s uniformed men and women. OOC: Another group of Propaganda, not really. You have to remember that Amestria has no intimate detailed knowledge of what is behind the insurgency (besides the obvious), how much was promoted by Mckagan, how much by the Lone Alliance and what are the exact factions that make up the rebels at present (well, what are they?). With the recent chaos of the riots and now, an insurgency there has probably been an increase in crime. It would be plausible that some of the violence is caused by New Order extremists (as well as any other nut jobs, which come out of the woodwork). General Gran believes what he is saying to be based on reality, even if at present they lack a clear picture.
