Whittier's forces in Fiji have begun clearing away debris and tossing bodies into mass graves to avoid the outbreak of disease in the wake of the recent massive earthquake. Aid has been pledged to the region and many locals are being placed in temporary shelter camps while their villages are rebuilt.

The first flight of 50 C141's having rested in Cunming, took off for its final destination, Manila on the island of Luzon.
Intell reports showed there was a local resistance group that had popped up on the island.
Within a matter of 5 hours of leaving Cunming, the C141's began landing at Manila airport and unloading their cargo: 10,000 combat infantry troops who began taking up defensive positions around the airport to secure it for the next flight of C141's while the current batch began taking off to return to Iran to pick the next troops.
General Grant went over the plans in his mind. The plan called for securing Luzon, Pollilo, Boac, Mindoro, Busuanga, Catanduanes, Samar, and the Visayan islands and somewhere to meet with his Mauiwoweean counterpart to coordinate the restoration of civilization to the Phillipines to bring some of the islands under the Whittier banner.
He looked at the latest intell reports on the Cult of Barny and the new phillipino terrorist group. "Terrorist group" was an odd description. But they didn't know anything about the group, except that they were supposed to be well trained. How well trained he didn't know. But as they had attacked the COB, he found something he liked about them. He ordered the troops not to go beyond the airport. He needed to get his command set up first then he would begin the long and slow process of bringing first Luzon then the other islands under his control. Then once his job was done, the politicians would proceed to divy up the Phillipines between the members of the invading coalition. He ordered the division's big screen to be set up inside the largest of the terminals. They had a big job to do, and from the looks of the terrain and his lack of knowledge of how receptive the locals would be, he decided to give the troops a break to watch some of the olympic events in germany before having them break out from the airport to the rest of Manila. Tommorrow and the next three days would be time off to give his men time to recuperate and to raise their moral. He ordered his second in command to take command of the troops and left instructions.
Then with 20 troops, unarmed and carrying a white flag he headed off to the city to see if he could find someone to take him to the resistance where he would negotiate a 3 day truce. At the same time, he sent several groups, dressed as civilians, out in to the city and across the island to begin collecting valuable information: strength of the resistance, natives receptiveness to foreign forces, needs of the natives, condition of roads, hospitals, locations of any COB cells, etc.

While the quake was not as strong in Tonga as it was in Fiji, we had a fair amount of damage there as well and the resultant ocean disturbances, while not classifiable as a Tsuamini, did result in some localized and severe coastal flooding we are dealing with there. Please forgive us for our inability to send more, but we have our own problems in the area we must care for.

I probably won't be RP'ing in the Olympics for two reasons. First, I'm not too proficient with sports RP, as the only sport I know anything about is baseball. I don't know the rules and specifics of basketball, soccer, football, hockey, etc. The only thing I understand about those games is how you get gaols (dunk, slam ball / hockey puck in net, kick ball over goalposts, etc).

Second reason is my enthuaism for RP'ing in NS has hit an all time low right now, because of all the n00bishness and bullshit going on. Even veteran NS'ers are acting like n00bs the past couple of weeks.

However, I will try to hop into that diplomatic conference thing later on. Also, I might be able to try RP'ing a baseball team in the Olympics, but doubt I'll be able to RP the other sports that well.

The whole chain of command was warned. Within ten minutes after the warning, the sirens sounded on Borneo, Celebes, Malukka's and Irian Jaya. The Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Adolf Gorreing was lighting the Olympic Fire, which would shine to the end of the games. The fire orginated from the acient town of Todtenweis in Bavaria, where it is thought to have been the start of the Olympic Games (OOC: Yes, I know it isn't in RL!).

Now, after a brief playing of The Great Sixth Reich Anythem, it was time for the countries to make their athletes travel on the parade.

The first nation announced:

"THE GREAT SIXTH REICH!!!!" as the crowd cheers crazily. The team of three hundred athletes and coachs march out onto the track and prepare to travel around once.

Upon having the name of their nation called out the Ato-Saran atheletes walked out into the stadium to the cheers of the Ato-Sarans in the crowd.

Eight hours is just the normal work day. There is no eight hr limit. Anything
over 40 hrs per week is overtime / sometimes anything over 8 hrs is overtime
but not every employer follows that rule. I'm half German & and one of my
roommates is German so I would like to at least visit there sometime.

Jason Keeler, one of the first four PNLA infiltrators got past the sentry, followed by the rest of his four. After them came the other four, but one of them stepped on a twig. Immediately he froze, hoping beyond hope that the sentry hadn't noticed.

Knite, the sentry, was standing at his post, and scanning the jungle. He yawned and checked his watch, only 12 minutes until he was relieved. Suddenly, he heard a twig snap behind him, and he spun and opened fire. The Cult of Barney quickly drew weapons and sprinted into position, and a brief ferocious gun battle occurred. Both sides lost men, but with numbers on their side the Cult of Barney won, and eliminated the PNLA forces. But the PNLA infiltrators had expected to lose, they had done what the wanted to; about a minute after the battle the bomb went off, leaving a large clearing where the camp had been.

About 20 miles away Mr Sonel, the leader of their troop, watched the explosion, and then turned away, with a small sigh. It was a pity that he had lost four of his best men, but on the other hand he had eliminated about 30 or 40 of the hated Cult of Barney. While the PNLA resented the foreign forces invading their country, they utterly hated the Cult of Barney, and were going to great lengths to destroy them.

As he turned away, Scarp, the communications genius, came scurrying up to him. "Excuse me Mr Sonel, but I think you should see this."

"A transmission I picked up. Mauiwowee seems to want to make contact with one of our troops. We are probably the nearest to their current position, so I was wondering if you think we should go over there."

At the meeting to discuss logistics and personnel movement to the South Pacific region, the Minister of Defense was speaking:

Due to strategic needs the transports will take the troops to the South Pacific instead of Manila as we need the troops to finish securing our islands.

The Transports will leave Bandar Abbis for the Maldives, which will take them 3 days and 15 hours. Once in the Maldives, the troops will take shore leave for 24 hours and the ships will refuel.
From the Maldives the convoy will move to Bandeh Aceh, Indonesia. The trip will take them 2 days and 13 hours. At BA, they will again take shore leave while the ships refuel and any needed repairs are made.
From BA, they will head to Dili, East Timor. This trip will take 4 days and 1 hour. Again they will make port for shore leave and refueling.
From Dili, the convoy will continue to Vanuatu which will take them 3 days and 6 hours. Again they will stop for 24 hours.
From Vanuatu they will head to Samoa which will take 2 days and 9 hours. Again they will make a 24 hour stop while 500 troops disembarck for duty stations in American Samoa.
From AS they will head for Niue and 1,000 troops will disembark and the ships will stop there for another 24 hours period. This trip will take only 14 hours.
After the 24 hour period, the convoy and remaining troops will head to Wake Island which will take them 6 days and 4 hours. Once at Wake, the remaining forces will disembark and secure the island.
After dumping their troops, the convoy will return to Iran via the Phillipines.

Once the Defense Minister was finished, the Foreign Minister spoke, (it was his job to negotiate refueling and leave with the nations that the stops were scheduled for. With out those agreements, the convoy would not be going anywhere) "I will contact the TGSR and Warta Endor governments to negotiate refueling and shore leave previleges for our forces."

The door grinded open slowly, as several uniformed MPs strained to open it. The old blast door was finally opened, and the 60th light Bosnian division rushed in. The facility had been silent for hours, and all attempts to communicate with them had failed. The Vineyardian high command feared the worst. The facility, along with being a base, held the worst and the top priority prisioners in the empire. It was a fortress-prision.

"Clear!"

The top floor had been cleared. the guard posts inside the base were vacent, with no sign of the guards. Several men tried the elevator, but it wasn't working. the internal power was failing in the base, so the troops had to take the stairs.

The troops reached the next levvel and opened the iron plated door.

"Oh my god!"
"Sweet jesus!"
Guards and MPs were lying dead everywhere. the stench was horrible, they had been in the sealed room for awhile. They had all been gunned down, apparently from some larger force.

The man in charge of the division ordered the room cleared. The men stepped gingerly over the bodies and cleared the room. No sign of any enemy. The next 9 floors revealed the same story. The guards and MPs were dead in the halls, the cafeterias, and their dwellings. The entire barracks sector was finally cleared. Only 50 more floors to go.

'Sir! The food crates and everything is gone from the kitchens."

The divisional commander knew at once what was going on. The prisioners had somehow escaped, and with a lot of guns and men, over took the guards.

'Has anyone left or entered this facility since this facility went 'dark'?
"No, sir."
Troubling indeed. They were still in the base. Lord Vineyard would reward him greatly if he cleared and retook the base singlehandedly.

In the biggest buildup in UPR (earth v) history, hundreds of thousands of troops are moving toward cities saddling the border with Azerbaijan. Reports coming out of north Iran report 150,000 Iranian troops taking up position in the city Ardabil. Another 150,000 have been seen moving toward the city of Jolfa.
It is reported that the 50,000 at the Iranian military installation at Alajujah have been placed on alert.
Last week, 50,000 troops were moved to the city of Pol Dasht along the Iranian/Nagorno Karabahk border.
This may be the beginning of a long promised offensive to join the allied assualt on Russia.
The government is keeping silent on the matter, but pundits are saying that you don't move 300,000 troops to the border for no reason. The sheer size of the force shows the government is expecting to encounter heavy resistance.

I am going to invade through the caucuses.
I don't what the others are doing against him. But they got there eyes on Russia too.
Me, Maui. and Warta are invading the Phillipines. COB set off a nuke in Indonesia.
I am integrating Fiji, Amer. Sam.
Whittier has invaded the comoros and has special ops troops in Qatar, Bahrain and the UAE to punish them for piracy and abductions on the high seas.
But none of the ops are major.
Whittier's main action is going to be caucuses when the 300k troops start going through. And I have allied with a couple of new nations one based in Egypt, another in Georgia. And I've asked Egypt to take Sudan to eliminate the terrorist camps in that nation.

I don't know if he's back yet or not. But if TGSR is still rping his nation, he's doing a pretty good job.

General Ripper saw his chance - The CoB had used their stolen nuke in Indonesia, most of the Pacific Fleet was concerned with the problems there and in the Phillipines. The PNLA was still an unknown factor - though their disgust for the CoB was well known. Intelligence Coordinator Lucretia would be landing in Manilla in the next 48 hours to meet with Whittier and organize forces there.

Forces in Brazil were locked up in their efforts to take Venezuala - the mountains south of Caracas were proving tougher than expected. Caracas was under control and the fleet stood off the coast with impunity, but the land forces were moving slowly. They would succeed, but, most importantly, they were unavailable to the Black Queen.

Nigeria had collapsed, yet again, due to the distances involved and the movement of the "rebel" fleet from there to Christmas Island under the protection of the Duchess, and soon to be new king's mother.

SE China, as always, had it's own shit to deal with. Best news so far though was that Hong Kong had "given" due to the siege - an interim government was being put into place. Big and powerful money-wise, they had no chance against a military seige - they would rejoin SE China whether they liked it or not - and they would like it, that was one of the best parts of what General Ripper had in place.

The scouts got back at eleven fifty four that night, they reported straight to the Troop Leaders tent, 'Sir, there's two COB camps nearby' the scout said 'What direction?' asked the James Smith, the leader 'North and northeast' 'How much C4 do we have?' the scout shrugged 'Go see'.

The scout came back about five minutes later 'About seven pounds' 'What kind of defence do the COB camps have?' 'Light walls and traps' 'Ok, go now'

The leader thought over it, he drew it out on the floor then looked for flaws, then he drew it out again and eventually he came up with a plan that he was sure would work.

Early next morning the troop set off north and found the camp, then the men with FN FALs stood behind to cover the troop, the rest went forward. Traps were not a problem for the PNLA, because they knew how to set and disarm almost all of what they came across.

A few minutes later the C4 was successfully planted at the base of the wall and the troop came back to the riflemen. 'Detonate it' commanded Smith. The button was pressed, the C4 exploded and through the clearing smoke came thirty armed men.

The battle was short, having the advantage of the C4 and suprise the PNLA troop slaughtered the COB outpost's garrison, taking minor losses.

A group of islands 400 km long, it would be difficult to capture these islands. CoB was well set up there, PLNA was unknown. The Marines, three divisions, 45000 men, would island hop towards Mindanao. Air Force would make strikes on the islands coordinated by Special Forces. Once Intel thinks CoB is weakened the navy joins in with a shre bombardment. The Marines will make landings on the same moment all over the archipelago. The 3rd Marines will land on Tawi Tawi, the 7th Marines on Jolo Sulu and the 8th on Basilan Island. From there smaller units will attack and occupy the smaller islands. HQ thought about Palawan as next target. The Third would invade Palau while the Seventh and Tenth Marines would attack Palawan.
Meanwhile fighting in Thailand has turned to a guerilla warfare. the entire country is under control but guerilla's keep using hit-and-run tactics. HQ has ordered the more heavier equipment to retreat while lightly armed units were patrolling jungle areas. Most of the time the CoB and drug guerilla's slipped through tunnels and underground bases. The guerilla's had copied that tactic from the Vietcong in the Vietnam war. Commander of the forces in Thailand, General Dungstar, had ordered a major operation in the worst effected area's.

The striped area's (see map) are one of the most hazerdous area's for our troops. Attacks are daily routine, sabotage is part of everyday life and the civilian population is terrorized. We have thought of the following plan:
1)the three Light Mech Infantry divisions (LMI div.) will dig in along the border with Laos and Cambodia. They will be the anvil.
2)teh &th Light and the Second and Third Cavalry will be the hammer together with the SF force (see 3). The cavalry divisions will roll in along the road towards Vientiane and the road towards Pakaé in Laos. The 7th Light will move in on foot on a broad front. Now comes the difficult task...
3)The SF divisions will airlift into the OA (Operation Area) by chopper and will harras the retreating enemy randomly. Ambush, hit-and-run tactics and bloccades will be used to kill as much enemy forces as possible.

Airforce will give close support and if necessary will use heavy bombardments to drive the enemy into the hands of the dug in LMI divisions. Civillian populationwill be adviced to leave the OA as any person still in the area when the operation begins will be identified as possible target.

Three men in suits leaned over the table that had a light built into it to show the picture to the last detail. Infared scanns showed thousands of men digging and blowing up openings in what appeared to be a series of tunnels branching out.
"What is interesting, is that the sonar plane picked up a digging maciene thing here."
"Wow. That thing is weird..."
"I checked the research records of the base. They were developing and designing sapping macienes for getting into bases, cities, ect... undetected. That is, until a hole opens up and soldiers come scrambling out. ANYHOW, this is the only prototype made of this digging maciene. Unfortunately it is powered by an unstable nuclear reactor. It can blow at any minute."

OOC: The best way to get that message across to the PNLA would be to send an repeating unencrypted broadcast across several frequencies, so that they would be sure to pick it up. So woud everybody else in the area, but hey, it happens. If you included your nation's public key for RSA encryption (very hard to break) then following messages would be much more secure. By the way, your nation would know this IC. I'll post another conflict soon, and respond IC to your message when I get it.

The C141's arrived at Manila International without incident. The 20,000 UPR Army troops having secured the city. Accomodations had already been set up for the newly arrived 10,000 troops from Iran. The force was building up for its main offensive. It only took 10,000 to secure the city and surrounding towns . So the other half was sent to pacify the rest of the island.
The force of 10,000 was sent out to subdue the remainder of the Manila area, which included some 11 towns and villages.

The new reinforcements would be sent north to seize the cities of La Trinidad, San Fernando, Bayombong, Cabarraquis, Casiguran, and all the cities and towns between them and the Manila area.

General Raimos waited for the PNLA response. Sgt. Cassaway was at the ECD, (Encrypted Communictations Device) as it broadcast an unencrypted broadcast inviting the PNLA leadership to a meeting. An encrypted code was used, but it was a basic, breakable type of encryption. The UPR military would never put a real encryption code out on the network for the COB and others to pick up.

The convoy of UPR submersible troop had left Iran awhile ago. Along the way they had spent the whole time on the surface.
At 1454 they began entering the port of the Maldives' capital where they would refuel and spend the next 24 hours.
Commodore Perry was in his state room going over convoy stats as the ships crew coordinated with the port authority to get the ships to the docks.
It was said that the government was working on a new and larger transport.

The Horn blew to signal that docking had been a success. Commodore Perry put the stats away and headed ashore to meet with the local TGSR leadership. He had issued orders that the troops had to stay in groups of at least 10. Though he knew some soldiers would disobey and go off on their own and do crap that typical soldiers do.

He had brought no MP's along so he had to rely on the genorisity of the TGSR government. So the troops had to wait until after the commodore had met with TGSR's governor before going ashore. Meantime, the ships' crews were already ashore refueling the ships.

The UPR will be spending $17.5 billion to build 500 WS-SuperHawk advanced strike/fighers.

They will arrive in 1 rl week.


Meantime, the 1st and 2nd Armored Divisions have begun moving toward the Azeri border.

The 4th, 7th, and 15th Armored divisions, composed of all M1A1's, and the 17th, 32nd, and 6th Armored Divisions, composed of T 72's, have left their installations are moving toward the Azeri border.

Pilots Crackerjack and Exador were leading discussions of old battles.

Their unit has one motto: "Thank God for War".

They had served together for 8 years in the same unit of the Whittier Air Force. Most of that time, they had been loaned out to do philanthropic labor which was basically the crap some people got stuck doing in Africa and the South Pacific. On such peacekeeping missions their jobs were to ensure that human rights were respected. They traded stories from those peacekeeping missions they had taken part in.
With the war in Russia, the men were trigger happy. They wanted in on the action. The idea that they might sit out the war while the ground pounders did all the work, was very depressing to all of them. They wanted a peice.

"Ah but to bomb a little village, or insurgent encampment while dodging anti air fire. Anything to feel alive again." Pilot Vader thought out loud.

Pilot Crackerjack spoke of the simple pleasures of banging every female he could get his hands on. Like the time he was in Madagascar. And this Madagacarian chick was being raped, and he shot the guy in the back. Because of the culture, he got to stick it in her. He still remembers how good she felt.

With the advance of a new world order human rights are never more in threat.

The room suddenly went silent. All heads turned toward the door as the pilots snapped to attention.

Commander Isakorf "I need you all to report to your aircraft in 15 minutes. You wanted a war. Well you got yourselves a war. You'll be breifed as you prep. " He turned and exited.


20 minutes later Crackerjack was doing his final systems check. This was it, he thought. They were actually doing it. He always flew the lead plane.

Crackerjack had taxied his SU 25 followed by his wing men. He was just waiting the word. His aircraft fully loaded with air ground missiles carrying 8,900 pound warheads. He reminisced on his girlfriend. Then a voice broke his thoughts: Aircraft 447-827 is clear for take off.
Crackerjack pulled on the stick and the SU 25 lurched forward, increasing as it speed down the runway. 20 feet from the end of the pavement, he pulled up on the yoke and the first of the SU 25's left the ground, the wheels rising up into the body as it climbed into the air. He turned northwestward toward Azerbaijan. It wasn't long till the rest caught up.
Within 15 minutes their first target, the Azeri capital of Baku appeared below. The missiles were launched the impact on the ground lighting up the night sky. The city was on fire literally. Locals were nearby the explosions were deafened the pounding roar.

In the town of Astara, the locals had heard rumors that the UPR was going to attack. But no one knew when or if the rumors were even true. Then suddenly the ground shook with violent explosions and the sky to the north was lit.

And those who were in the fields beheld a massive army of hundreds of thousands of troops pouring across the Iranian/Azeri border into Azerbaijan. The nearby military depot was being pounded by tank guns.
And over head, 34 Apache Attack Helicopters swept by, one of them attacking the town's radio station and police headquarters.

30 minutes afterward first the tanks then the infantry arrived at the small border town.

The invasion was not just a rumor. And the UFSR was dead.

We just got word that the invasion of Azerbaijan has begun. The provincial capital of Baku is said to be bearing the brunt of the Whittier air attack.

In the videos, the skies of Armenia and Azerbaijan were filled over 20,000 combat aircraft attacking targets on the ground.

On the border thousands of troops continue to pour across as local civilians watch from the safety of their homes.

The 28th Infantry Brigade suddenly found itself in a fire fight in Nagorno Karabahk. The resistance had attempted to ambush them but they were on their feet.

Up in Baku, unable to bear the ground rattling bombings, civilians had begun to flee, leaving even personal belongings behind.

Upwards of 10,000 tanks have crossed into Tenebrocisian Caucasuses. These were being followed by 300,000 hardened combat infantry troops.

Scarcely had the invasion began than oil fields across the caucuses erupted into flames. Even the day sky was going to be black because of the smoke. Insurgent sabators were already at work.

The director of the Vineyardian Bosian Imperial Guard broke open the seal on the folder, noting the stamps on the cover - "TOP SECRET" "EYES ONLY" and "CLASSIFIED." He knew he had the unadulterated file on General Sun. "Why didn't we have this before?" he thought to himself. Then he answered his rhetorical question "Because we didnt' ask for it. Dumb ass politicians." He turned to the first page - "Summary" it said.

Military Training General Sun served 3 years as a Royal Guardsman to the Duchess of Chrismas Isle. The director flipped to page 2. "Fuck" he thought "Why didn't they let us know - the guy's a smart psycho. He had no problem establishing himself as the leader of the other prisoners in the unit and his civil engineering background makes his ability to adapt the units and create the tunnel system a breeze. We gotta take this guy out and it won't be easy."

The PNLA had made a clever trap on the road, the tube was buried slightly under the ground, the had set the mortar bomb inside to fire when the light sensor sensed a shadow.

The road was often used by COB supply vehicles, that's why it had been chosen, but it was not COB supply vehicles that triggered it, another PNLA troop was changing position, its front jeep shadowed the sensor. The mortar bomb fired, hit the fuel tank and it exploded, neither jeeps escaped.

"So... do you think there might be enough C4 tied onto that thing??"
The thick Steel gate was rimemd with C4's, as many as the rim could possibly hold.

The gate went up in flames, and the huge thick steel plate was blasted off its hinges and landed on the pavement in the front of the base with a defeaning clang. Immediately, division artillary batallion openeed up on the exposed base.

The mass of napolm in the base would burn for hours, eventually killing of and forcing out everyone from the heat. Some expiramental shells were used that were designed to literally melt metal. In the mean time, the Division set out to do their job.
Their charges set, they blew the tunnels in, trapping the prisioners inside the base. They would suffer a slow burning death.

But for the tunnel that contained the exparamental digging maciene, the troops couldn't seem to blow an opening.

"Sir, it appears to be reinforced... we can'e get through."

"Damn. Find an exit to that tunnel, NOW!"

The Duke looked around at the members of the families that had been called to the meeting, smiled and asked - "OK, I need an updated summary report - Don Machevelli, you first."

"Yemen is good sir, oil production and refining is at 98% capacity. 4 underwater city oil facilities are under construction and should be complete within the next 6-9 months, tops. Scotland is also doing well and the North Sea fields will be at full capacity within the next 3 months with underwater cities there complete within the next 12-18 months. We're a little behind schedule due to some storm activity and the depth and exceptionally cold temps, but we'll get it done, don't worry."

"I'm not worried" said the Duke "If you're making a promise, I know you'll live up to it." the Duke continued - the barest hint of a threat was clear to the Texas oil man though. "OK, he continued, how about North America? "

Don "Don" Henderson spoke up "We've coordinated everything through a clearing house in Illinois. Kentucky is ours, fully, your general did a great job in getting it secure with the forces already in place there via our deal with Fodmodmadtol. Virginia is likewise subdued for the most part, though some skirmishes on the border with West Virginia are going on, at that is where we've hit a small bump in the road. West Virginia is putting up a major fight. They've taken out 37 Head Rush Bombers and 71 F/A 91A and/or 91/B aircraft. Apparently Fod put some pretty extensive AA equipment in the mountains. We're trying to move the troops in, but the hill fighters are well equipped too. They'll give, but it's gonna take some time. The rest of Michigan will be ours soon though thanks to Joe Jackson - Detroit has caved completely and troop have advanced from Illinois. Resistance is minimal. One thing of interest though, VirginIncursion has expressed a desire to gain control over Ohio."

She began employing her exceptional talent of presenting news without need of a teleprompter that countless other news anchor-men and anchor-women are forced to use to aid in news reporting.

This is Kasina Lusvan reporting for Sharina InterEarth Information Network, or SIEIN. We have several major news occuring throughout Sharina and the international scene.

Our first story is Sharina's 'Operation Colonial' which involves the former territories of the Marxist Corporation of Fodmodmadtol. As many of you have already been aware of for the past few weeks, our forces have engaged in heavy fighting in New York, routing thousands of rogue mercenaries, bands of warlords, and former Fodian Loyalists.

The brunt of the fighting has took place in Western New York, in the areas of Rochester and Buffalo. In addition, there has been severe urban fighting in New York City. Sharina troops have finally taken the enormous city after taking thousands of casaulties from Fodian Loyalist snipers, booby traps, terrorists, and several warlords controlling Queens and Brooklyn sectors of the city. There has been heavy damage to the city, as several skycrapers were all but demolished, due to the constant usage of rocket propelled grenades and explosive anti-personnel rounds.

Fortunately, most of the landmark buildings such as the Empire State Building, Crysler Building, Rockfeller Center, former U,N. complex, Statue of Liberty, Freedom Tower, among others escaped the brunt of the damage. It became apparent that the warlords, mercenaries, snipers, and terrorists had no heart to destroy or incur Sharina's wrath upon their sacred landmarks.

The fighting in Rochester and Buffalo is another story altogether. The two cities have been practically razed to the ground, as most buildings are mostly piles of rubble. Nearly the entire mercenary army had fled to these two cities, providing a far more destructive fight than in New York City. In light of the near-destruction of both cities, Sharina has established bases of operations in the outskirts of the city to faciliate reconstruction and redevelopment of these two cities. The Rochester base of operations is located in Rochester Institute of Technology, and the Buffalo base of operations is located in the enormous train-yards outside of Buffalo.

Our forces have also met with considerable success in New Jersey, quickly over-running the minimal defenders located in that region. Most of the New Jersey defenders were holed up in the New York City region, or made suicide runs to join their comrades in Western New York. Once the minimal defenders were routed several days ago, Sharina forces began moving into Maryland and Delaware, quickly capitalizing on the morale and manpower losses that the 'rebels' suffered in New Jersey and New York.

Progress has also been made in Pennsylvania. Sharina forces are converging on Philadelphia, which is believed to be the the last major stronghold of Fodian Loyalists, warlords, terrorists, and mercenaries in the western theater of operations of Operation Colonial. However, it is believed that Pittsburgh has a small to moderate enemy garrison, but not as strong as in New York cities or in Phuladelphia.

A considerable number of enemy troops have fled Rochester and Sycrause towards Vermont and New Hampshire, hoping to join up with the last major concentration of Fodian Loyalists and warlords in Maine. Sharina troops based near Albany gave chase, and is currently engaging the fleeing enemy forces in Vermont. Four Sharina divisions are moving up from Massachusetts into New Hampshire in hopes of cutting off the fleeing enemy. The First and Second Massachusetts Divisions, as well as First Rhode Island Division are supporting the drive into New Hampshire.

In conclusion, Sharina has made considerable progress in Operation Colonial, and has successfully annexed New York and New Jersey. New York and New Jersey have been introduced as the 39th and 40th provinces of Sharina, respectively.

I'm under the assumption that Vineyard chose to quit and ignore the whole New York thing, as he and TGSR were arguing about stuff going down in New York. Therefore, I thought I might as well finish the whole New York RP thing, it being 2 RL weeks since Mother's Day and I haven't seen any RP's pertaining to New York since Vineyard "quit" around Mother's Day.

I do not own Vermont and New Hampshire yet. However, I am moving forces from Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut to attack Vermont and New Hampshire. Keep in mind, it would be extremely difficult to "slip through" 300,000 troops through my solid military wall that had been advancing into New York.

I've RP'ed Rochester and Buffalo being like 90% destroyed in my news-cast RP post a few posts above, so that shouldn't be a problem.


Setting charges to blow up every city and town in New York is kind of god-moddish, as I already occupy plenty of towns and cities in New York, making it extremely difficult for terrorists to plant 100 tons of napalm or whatever to blow up entire towns. You can't blow up New York City, Albany, Sycrause, Utica, etc. as I already occupy them, and 100 tons of napalm + TNT would stick out like a sore thumb to my occupying authorities. That much napalm + TNT per town would be easily found out. However, in cities like Buffalo and Rochester (where your troops were mostly stationed and such), your napalm "blow-up" will have far better chances of success than in, say, New York City, Yonkers, or Utica.


If you choose to flee through Vermont and New Hampshire, be my guest. Makes my job that much easier in annexing these two states. However, if you try to flee into Massachusetts, Connecticut, or Rhode Island, that would be nearly impossible. I still have a good number of troops defending there, in addition to my advancing "wall" of troops. It would be impossible to slip 300,000 troops through the "wall". Maybe 1,000 or even 10,000. But not 300,000, because that many troops would show up on satellites and very easy to spot by watch-men and garrisons.



I do not want to resume the whole arguing thing about New York, because we all know how that turned out. All that arguing between you, TGSR, and me before Mother's Day a couple weeks ago.

Here's what we can do... You flee with your 300,000 troops through Vermont and New Hampshire. You raze as many towns and cities in those two states as you can. TGSR, I would like to know if this RP should be "done with" seeing that I did RP fighting and devastation in Buffalo and Rochester, taking Vineyard's troops and Fodian rebels into account.

My news RP stated that both cities were devastated and most of the enemy troops were concentrated there, providing a hell of a fight. This means Vineyard's 300,000 troops and the remaining Fodian warlords, rebels, and terrorists. I've been trying to be as reasonable and realistic as possible, considering 300,000 Vineyard mercenary troops, Fodian warlords and rebels, etc. I'm trying hard not to god-mod or go all un-realistic, but at times like these, it gets hard not to when things get all mixed up and stuff.


So, should we consider New York annexed by Sharina, so that we can move on, without getting hung up on arguing and fighting. I don't want to "hang on" this New York RP, arguing about losses and the feasibility of troops and napalm and all that. I'd like to add my commentary on these points.

1. Fodian corporations may still exist in some sort of form, let it be a coffee shop chain, fast food restaurants, supermarkets, car dealerships, etc. in former Fod territory. After all, the people still have to shop and buy stuff even after an government or empire collapses.



2. Taking food from supermarkets and restaurants may work. However, keep in mind, you would have to deal with the logistics nightmare of supplying a massive army of 300,000 active combat troops with supermarket and restaurant food. You'd need hundreds, if not thousands of trucks and heavy vehicles to haul the tons upon tons of food. You'd need a well organized logistics structure to distribute the food to everybody, but this is very difficult if not impossible to do in an land of anarchy, and no actual support from your main nation.

If your main nation was actually administering the logistics, it would be far more effective and manageable, with an established and organized command structure. However, with mercenaries, that is a completely different matter, much like with gurriellas.



3. Yes, it is feasible and believable that Vineyard's mercenaries could grab a hold of Fodian war equipment. However, you must take into account the infighting and civil strife in an land wracked by anarchy. There would be warlords and "power-blocs" vying for power and control of cities, towns, provinces, etc.

That would use up weapons and war equipment pretty quickly, such as ammo for guns and cannons, spare parts to repair stuff, and new parts to build new equipment. War production factories would be the first targets to be fought over in an anarchy, and consquently be the first ones to be damaged or become non-functional from sabtoage or battle damage.

Consquently, Vineyard's mercenaries could grab an handful of weapons and equipment, just not enough to equip every single soldier, or have hundreds of tanks or artillery. Probably more like 20 - 30 fully functional tanks, 50 artillery pieces, and several thousand rifles and guns. That sort of thing.



4. I do not see Fod possessing nukes, as I have not seen him threaten or announce that he had any nukes. Even if Fod actually had nukes, his government would try to destroy the launch codes and such to prevent or significantly delay the ability of terrorists and the like to employ and/or use the nukes.



Finally, I must repeat myself from yesterday and the day before. I do not want this to turn into another argue-fest. I DO NOT want to end up delaying RP'ing for 1, 2, or 3 more months while we go back and forth on the whole New York thing.

I want to just move on, so that I can do and participate in other RP's such as taking over Panama and Columbia, participating in Mauiwowee's civil war, possibly joining in the Olympics, and so on.

Hammer and Anvil Operation update for Main HQ-Day Four

The operation is so far succesfull. The cavalry divisions have secured the main roads through the area and Infantry is combing the area for any CoB or druglord militia's. SF units have engaged and defeated large numbers of enemy militia's. (see the number sheet for current bodycount)

Only in the zone of the 4th SF batalion has there been a hefty resistence. Casualty number was high and air force and units of the 5th SF batalion had to come to aid. It was worthwhile though. A large, partly underground, base has been found with an enormous number of ammo and weapons, enough to supply a large fighting force for several months. There was also enough food and medications for a couple of weeks. Several apperantly high ranking CoB's and Druglords have been captured and are currently being interrogated in Bangkok.

A large firefight has erupted near the Phillipine city of San Carlos. Whittier report over 2,000 dead 3,400 seriously injured in combat operations agains a large number of COB forces. Civilians trying to leave the battle zone are getting caught in the cross fire. COB casualties are unknown at this point but Whittier forces on the ground say there seem to be a lot of them.

Communications Specialist Wilson shouted into Sgt. McGregor's ear: "Sgt. we have incoming in 35 minutes. They advice evacing the area."
McGregor shouted over his ECCP (Encrypted Combat Cell Phone): "Sgt McCallister, tell the men to fall back and pass it to the other platoons. Let them know we got incoming."
He had to repeat himself twice to be heard over the loud crackling of gunfire going back and forth and the artillery barrages coming from the otherside.

A nearby loud explosion kicked large clods of dirt into the air, and knocked McGregor into the air where he landed 15 feet away. He checked himself, miraculously he was still alive and whole. Except for some cuts and big bruises. His body ached from the impact. He looked at his previous position. His Communications Specialist was in a million peices strewn all over the place.
McGregor struggled to get to his feet. He saw another body nearby, the chest on this on rising and falling rapidly. The guy was alive but where the fuck were his leg? McGregor applied an emergency tourneqit to the fucked up leg.
Having done that, he ignored his own pain, a sharp sting in the back and he went down. He felt the sting spot, a penetration hole, brought hand back around, covered in blood. He couldn't stay there. He stood back up and slung the injured soldier over his shoulders and proceeded out of the area as quickly as he could walk.
He watched as a soldier in front of had the misfortune of walking into a boody trap. The unfortunate soul had stepped onto a clump of grass and strewn bamboo and fell into pit filled sharpened spikes that went straight through him. The soldier screamed and wreathed in agony. McGregor put the other soldier down and looked around for something. He picked up a rifle and aimed at the wreathing soldier in the pit, pulling the trigger. One round to the head put him out of his misery. McGregor picked the other soldier up again. And continued on. Cursing the COB and who ever the fuck had given them artillery.

He ran into an enemy combatant almost falling back. His heart pounding and the adrenaline running. He was ready for hand to hand combat. The enemy combatant had a weapon leveled at him, an AK 47. He was joined by another one. But something was wrong with this picture. One was not like the other. One had the gear and clothing of a member of the COB. The other, was certainly a member of Arab Jihad, a terrorist group sponsored by the government of the United Arab Emirates. They were both just feet away. He acted quickly, dropping the soldier of his shoulders, then kick dropping the arab he grabbed his gun and shot the COBer in the head. Then in quick reflex he grabbed he struggled with the arab in vicious hand to hand combat. The arab pulled out a saber jabbing it into McGregor's gut slicing it open. McGregor fell to the ground.
The arab grinned, knowing he had the Whittierite right he wanted him. He lunged at him. But the will to survive was too strong. McGregor caught the blade with his bare hands, stopping the blow. Catching the arab by surprise. They struggled over the saber, the arab trying to drive it into McGregor's heart and McGregor trying to prevent him from doing that. Time slowed down, and the blade slowly turned inward entering the arab's throat. McGregor pulled it out. The man fell to the ground beside him, dying. McGregor was too injured to continue on.
The other injured soldier was just coming to.

Within minutes another soldier came along on his way out. McGregor was still conscious. The soldier stopped and immediately proceeded to apply emergency first aid. Having done that he reached behind him, and pulling out a hand mic, proceeded to request an air medievac. He could carry one, but not both.

Today after deeming the situation in Europe to have been pacified the FASA military command has recalled all troops from france, these forces are currantly on their way back to Ato-Sara via the Medditerranean and Suez canal.

In other news Ato-saran forces have taken all the major cities in Cambodia but the country still belong to the Barney Cultists, in Laos heavy opposition in the shape of advanced military hardware taken from various sources has held up our soldiers glourious advance.

Whittier forces continued their advance into Armenia and Azerbaijan, heading north to Russia. Along the way, they captured a few thousand demoralized enemy soldiers. Apparently the entire Tenebrocis army was demoralized.


Further south, in Iran, 25 C141's began loading with infantry and tank crews (tanks will be air dropped after the crews). Commanders of Operation Centralia, looking over a map of Kazahkstan, continued last minute preparations. The air force was only able to spare 25 C141's due to 50 being dedicated to the Phillipines operation and the other 25 being dedicated to operations in the United Arab Emirates. In all, 5,000 troops were preparing to go to Kazahkstan.

The cell in Manilla had been driven underground, but they weren't dead yet - they knew what to do, they had co-ordinated with those in Davao - when the forces of Mauiwowee came ashore there - Whittier's forces would face a surprise and the new forces from Vineyard would never knew what hit them. If only they could locate a command for the PNLA - they could take this island. Meanwhile, they mourned their murdered followers who had died in the battle of the purple carrier and simultaneously rejoiced the blow of love they had dealt Mauiwowwee with their nuclear attack.

General Gorkon assembled his forces in Manila. They had just arrived the day before, but were already being sent out. They were headed north. Previous forces under General Pepper had run into heavy resistance just outside San Carlos. Gorkon's orders were to reinforce him.
According to the latest word from Tehran, the Battle Island Smokey Robinson was on the way here. There were now 40,000 troops on Luzon with more on the way.
The entire 1st Whittier Army was on Luzon army and the second army was on the way.

Gorkon was in charge of the 4th Infantry Division of the 1st Whittier army with a total of 10,000 troops. They proceeded to march north out of Manila one battalion at a time. There were 16 battalions involved in the march. Once out of Manila, they would spread out. Their destination was San Carlos.

The 3rd to 7th Armies easily overran the Caucuses without running into opposition.
Having taken Armenia and Azerbaijan they halted their advance at the Russian border and began pacification and consolidation. General Rimrat of the expeditionary force was named governor of both Armenia and Azerbaijan, which were combined to create the Whittier Caucuses Territory.
During the pacification, the hunt continued for sabatoeurs.
The port city of Baku was taken without a fight. General Rimrat ordered the Generals under his command to keep their forces alert. The taking of the Caucuses had been too easy and he didn't like it one bit. The enemy was on smart son of a bitch. And General Rimrat knew he was plotting something.

Sirs:
The 5th and 6th Carrier groups will arrive at Palawan tommorow morning along with 5,000 Royal Guardsmen, 20,000 marines and 40,000 regular army. The 6th Carrier fleet, 2,500 of the Royal Guardsmen and 5,000 of the Marines will be taking Balabac Island to secure it and enable it as a staging point for all our other Phillipines operations. The remainder of this force will be headed to the north end of Palawan and Dumaran. where we intend to land and attack and then sweep south driving any resistance in front of us. Carrier based re-con and occasional targeted sorties will begin on those two targets later today as we approach the island. Oh, yes, we'll be landing 5,000 Marine Corp. Engineers on Balabac island with equipment to turn that island into a naval and airbase rather quickly. ONce the work there is complete, all our allies in the conquest of the Phillipines will be welcome to use it as a staging area. Re-con has shown few people, let alone resistance there.

Several pieces of newspaper flapped and twirled around an seemingly empty street, along with dozens of litter pieces of varying sizes and materials including several plastic bottles, discarded food wrappers, wrinkled metallic soda cans, excessively colored spam flyers, torn magazines, among others. The small breeze spread open a newspaper, as if the breeze itself was interested in reading one. Several bits and pieces of information could be made out, if the breeze was able to read at all.

Suddenly, a squad of troops clad in grey, brown, and dark green erupted onto the empty road, making incursions into the various doors and windows along the street, checking for possible booby traps and any non-combatants. Commands weren't spoken or even whispered, but rather using hand signals and gestures.

A window shattered several meters down the street, drawing the attention of the Sharina squad. A door opened silently behind the squad, as a man in regular clothes took a quick glimpse of the Sharinans. The man began running towards the squad, as the rearmost men began sweeping the street-scape behind them. The squad whirled around, training their guns upon the approaching man, amid shouted commands for the man to stop immediately.

The man kept on coming, apparently ignoring the shouts emanating from the squad. The squad opened fire upon the man, taking no chances at all. Dozens of rounds tore through the man's chest, spraying blood backwards onto the street, staining several pieces of litter a reddish color in the process. However, something did not seem right, as several rounds that tore into the lower half chest of the defiant man did not erupt out from his lower back.

Suddenly, the man erupted in a ball of flame and shrapnel, as the explosives hidden under his clothes detonated from the weapons fire. Several pices of shrapnel flew towards the rear men with frightening speed. Pieces of shrapnel dug into the body armor of the squad, saving their lives. However, other pieces of shrapnel lodged themselves in the legs and the arms of two soldiers.

The fireball washed over a section of the street, burning the pieces of litter, blackening and charring the sidewalk, and wrecking two parked cars. Those who were not hit by the shrapnel immediately flattened themselves aganist the hard asphalt, while those who suffered shrapnel hits faced the wrath of the flame. The sleeves of three soldiers caught on fire, inflicting burns among their arms. Abruptly, two of the burning soldiers dropped to the gound, lifeless before their bodies hit the street, with several bone fragments and pieces of brain bursting forth from their heads. Shouts rose from all the men in the squad, unified in one voice.

"Snipers!"

"Take cover!"

The squad erupted into a flurry of activity, running into the buildings for cover, leaving the two unfortunate and very dead soldiers on the street. One of the enemy snipers made a critical mistake, as he rose his rifle to reload it next to his window. The light reflected off the rifle's scope, revealing his location to the Sharina squad now occupying the adjacent building. The commander of the squad began shouting into his microphone, with an urgent calmness in his voice.

"We are pinned down by snipers. Request back-up at coordinates 12 - 20, building several meters to the northwest of our position."

Two minutes later, a whistling sound could be heard by the squad cocooned inside the building, and undoubtedly by the enemy snipers as well. The Sharina squad quickly took cover behind a counter, overturned tables, and even inside a bathroom. Just as quickly, the whistling stopped, and at that instant, all hell broke loose.

A thunderous explosion ripped through the area, blowing out every glass window and display for several blocks in all directions. An enormous dust cloud rose like a majestic bird, with the ferocity of a freight train at full speed. The cloud wafted through the broken windows of the surronding buildings, coating everything with a fine layer of dust and rubble. An eerie silence descended upon the area, heavy as a wet blanket, being interrupted by several pieces of rubble falling. The dust cloud settled down, revealing a literal empty spot where the sniper's building used to be, and a small pile of rubble in its place. At the center of the pile of rubble, stood a small hunk of metal, a shrunken form of its original self.

The Sharina squad slowly rose, and took stock of their surroundings and situation. One private in the squad gazed upon the devastation evident through one shattered window, and couldn't suppress his vigor.

"Yes! Thank fortune for our Colossus artillery!"

The private recieved seveeral stern, yet gratifying looks from his squad-mates, just before the squad ventured out into the street to continue their mission.

Similiar scenes played throughout the urban sprawl during the Battle of Philadelphia between Sharina and the last remaining major Fodian Loyalist stronghold in the Eastern Seaboard.

With that the 4 Men stood up and cried out "We Love You!" and "For Barney." The C130 was ripped open by the explosion. Fortunately, it was already half way unloaded and only 34 people were killed and 92 were seriously injured.
A fuel truck fueling another C130 exploded into a ball of flame killing the Fuel Soldiers and a couple of soldiers who were standing nearby when the feul vehicle was attacked. The aircraft was severly damaged and would have to be towed out of the way, into a hangar for repairs. The remaining aircraft immediately began unloading their troops where they were.

15,000 troops ran toward where the firing came from.


Up north, the 15 CIP stood by as the Wartorean Aircraft swooped low over head.

In a few hours the BI Smokey Robinson would be arriving in the Phillippines, their target unkown, but hardly had the attack on Manila airport began than 150 F35's were launched toward Manila, to carpet bomb the jungle just outside the airport. The BI's commander just happened to be on the phone with the 1st armies commaner in Manila when the attack happened. Fortunately they were now close enough to give air support. The ground troops were ordered to pull back to avoid freindly fire.
The F35's flew in at Mach 2 with 4 cluster bombs each, dropping their load on a wide swath of jungle just outside the airport.

Manilla: Upon reaching the safe house and waiting for several hours, Jorge' knew the almost instantaneous bombing run had taken out his companions. He had a bullet in his arm from a soldier's small arm fire as he ran, but he would be ok, it wasn't serious. Whittier had gotten the message though. They weren't as secure as they might like to think.

Above the firing could be heard a sudden, and load broadcast of the Barney theme song. "I Love You . . . " Rang through the forest on hidden loudspeakers.

In the aftermath of the terrorist attack and the resulting bombing of the jungle, General Pocket, of the Luzon Expeditionary Force, called all the Generals below him, on secure video phone to discuss strategy. The meeting took 3 hours.

Apparently the terrorists up north were using hit and run tactics using the trees of the jungle for cover, as had been done in Manilla. Even the retaliatory bombing had left to many trees for the enemy to use as cover.

Pocket ordered a Colonel walking by to contact the other Generals on Luzon and tell them to have their start clearing the jungles. The trees and shrubs are a direct threat to the lives of his men and he intends to eliminate that threat.

Operation Clear Brush had two parts:

A would occurs in Manilla where the jungle around the airport and city would be completely chopped down upto 10 miles away from the city.

B would involve the elimination of jungle all the way from Manila to San Carlos. To assist in the removal of jungle, the mass of troops in the combat area were pulled out. The withdrawal took about 15 hours. 5 hours after that, 150 aircraft of the WBI Smokey Robinson once again took the skies over Luzon, this time armed with fire bombs.
Once over north Luzon, the bombs were released. The impacts creating small mushrooms clouds as the jungle below exploded into flame and the huge jungle fire consumed everything in its path. Dropping their ordinance, the F35's returned to the WBI for refueling and rearming. They would be making seven sorties over North Luzon with fire bombs. The goal was to eliminate the entire Luzon jungle.
Before the bombings. If troops saw an animal on the way, they had orders to catch it and bring it back with them so they could preserve it.

The COB and their allies would have no place to go.

The explosions from the rockets beyond the edge of the city immediatly alerted the base commander and through a direct radio link two Hind assault helicopters where divirted off patrol on the western route to Vientienne, to deal with the threat. Mean while within the city itself two BMP-3s and a Howler S/ST were scrambled along with a platoon of twenty men.
The helos arrived first, dropping down to about a metre above ground level to unload their troops while firing their merciless gatling guns into the surrounding jungle.
The troops now on the ground got organized and set up a defensive firing perimiter, opening up in stacatto burts from their Ak-74s and AK-74Ds.
Captain Gune Huo surveyed the scene from behind the wrecked truck, the cultists had hit hard and fast and they had lost the two trucks and over a dozen men in the firefight so far. Praying to buddha he slammed a fresh magazine in to his double barrled AK-74D and sprayed it in the direction of the cultist fire.

The remainder of this force will be headed to the north end of Palawan and Dumaran. where we intend to land and attack and then sweep south driving any resistance in front of us. Carrier based re-con and occasional targeted sorties will begin on those two targets later today as we approach the island. Oh, yes, we'll be landing 5,000 Marine Corp. Engineers on Balabac island with equipment to turn that island into a naval and airbase rather quickly. ONce the work there is complete, all our allies in the conquest of the Phillipines will be welcome to use it as a staging area. Re-con has shown few people, let alone resistance there.

The National parade in celebration of Field Marshall Lao's birtday was about to begin. First came the veterans of wars long ago. Some in wheelchairs pushed along by red cross members, but most of them still walked proudly, their heads held up high as all vets do. Some old Spitfires, Hurricanes, Lancashires, Wellingtons, B 26's F4 Phantoms, A7 Corsairs, Su27 to the modern day F16I's, JAS Gripens, F15D's, F16's, the JSF's and F22's of the Navy, the A-10 Gunships, Apache's and so on and finaly, last but not least the B2, B52 and Tu22 flew over the heads of the crowd. Meanwhile some of Warta Endor's Merkava III's and IV's rode past, followed by the Leopard 2A6's and other armoured stuff. A squadron of Crusader artillery drove by. Then came the Infantry, followed by the Marines, the most popular of them all. The men grinned as they heared girls screaming things like :"Call me, honey, if you're lonely! Here's my number..." but they kept looking stern and serious. After that came the grim looking special forces, faces maksed by balaclava's or Camo paint. The Field Marshall watched the entire parade with a proud feeling in his heart. Warta Endor's strength was enormous, ready for any taks. Diverse and well trained, the men and women of the armed forces could do everything.

Field Marshall Lao:"Well, that was some parade wasn't it?"
Adm. Cranach:"It certainly was. Again Happy Birthday Marshall. I hope you may stay even longer with us to enrich us with your wisdom."

He turned and waved at the enthiousiastic crowd whiel he frowned. He hadn't told any of them of the plans he had, both for Warta Endor and his private life. The Thailand Campaign was goin well, though pockets of resistence remained. Operation Hammer and Anvil was a succes, killing a great number of CoB's and drug militia's. The new Fifth Army for Thailand was being formed, but meanwhile elements of the other armies would garrison Thailand. They mainly patrolled and flew mission via helicopter, being dropped on LZ's and laying ambushes.
The Phillipines was another thing. He and other HQ officers were enraged when they heared that the "bounty" of the Phillipines was only a small archipelago. He had ordered that the entire population of those islands must be taken to camps in New Guinea, where the male population would work or die while the female and childeren will be shot or in a different way killed. Those islands would become training ground for Marines and other military personell, maybe even above ground Nuclear tests...when the wind is good...

I've been thinking... I'll continue my war RP'ing, finishing the whole New England thing, meaning taking over Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, etc. in addition to Columbia, Panama, and maybe Costa Rica (Might save that for last). I might take a few other provinces, depending on whether Julioppines has fully quit Earth V.

After that, I'll pretty much have all the conquerable land in North America, as Norleans would most likely be taking the rest, so I don't foresee any more war RP'ing after this series of RP's. Unless someone declares war on me, or something else happens like that.

500 Heavy bombers took off from the foggy airfeilds around Shanghai and took to the air under the escort of 1,000 fighter planes. the entire force was being sent to bomb and utterly crush the last of the remaining chinese forces. Japanese high command hadn't seen a single chinese fighter in the sky for years, and it was believed that they no longer possessed any. (The USA later on starts giving china fighterplanes).

Chi-Ha's crashed through the Bamboo forest, while being closely followed by infantry. There were 2 wings on either side of the column, to sweep and destroy potential ambushes.

That aside, I'm getting a little worried and disappointed here in Earth V. There has been NO posts in it whatsoever since I last posted about 26 hours ago (not counting Vineyard's single mysterious post). Not even an OOC post like "I'm here" or "I'm working on RP" or even "I'm busy right now, final exams and all".

Just when I got my RP'ing ambition back, seemingly everybody disappears from Earth V. I know its exams week, but at the very least, an OOC post saying "I have exams, so I'll RP next week" would be nice. That would help me NOT to worry.

If no more RP or OOC posts (Meaning, if there are no posts by anybody after this post by me) by Friday or Saturday night, I honestly don't know what to do.



What's worse is that I tried to start up another RP project for my nation in NS Earth, but nobody even responds or whatever. The only guy interested in it is Xeraph, and he's kind of botching it up.

Do I have to act like a n00b just to get attention to my RP's? Do I have to declare war on the whole world, then god-mod nukes hitting every city in NS Earth... then have people enter my thread and start to yell "IGNORE" so that they will actually participate? Stephanie Matthews punched the gas on her Focus ZX-3 as she entered the Columbus' I-270 outerbelt from the RT 33 Dublin entry ramp. The new 4.6 V8 responded immediately by smoking all four tires at once and rocketing out

I am firebombing the crap out of Luzon.

The riots in Iceland stopped today, after the inital reaction of anrachy had become plain fact to the people of Iceland. But now, the tanks at the airport suddenly entered the capital (the airport is next to the capital). A few rebels were remaining, but their molatov cocktailsw did not penetrate the thick armor. Thus, they were shot fifty times with the cannons on the tanks.

Chapter 2: The Quick Hours

The Sharina Technocracy rapidly capitalized upon its successful campaign in New York and New Jersey, amid the dissolution of the Marxist Corporation of Fodmodmadtol. The majority of hardocre Fodian forces, along with a mysterious mercenary force, holed up within northwest New York, along the Great Lakes in hopes of surviving the Sharina storm.

The battle of Albany was the beginning of the end for the remaining Fodians, as the Fodians were routed decisively by Sharina forces in a pincher attack, along with several Greater Sixth Reich troops contributing support. The Fodians were rolled back to the two cities of Rochester and Buffalo, joining up with the mercenary forces.

The mercenary forces inflicted considerable losses upon the Sharina army, until Sharina managed to bring in its Colossus Artillery batteries. The Colossus batteires were bogged down in the Appalachain Mountains, as it was difficult stabilizing the winding roads and railroads to carry these 700 ton pieces of machiery. However, once Sharina engineers finally were able to bring in the Colossus batteries through Albany, from Massachusetts, the fate of the mercenaries and Fodian remants were sealed.

The Colossus batteries made short work of the fortified and entrenched positions in Rochester, driving out the enemy forces backwards towards Buffalo. Consquently, the city of Rochester was practically leveled, as the power of the Colossus was indiscriminate and brutual in their purpose. With Rochester lost, the Fodians and mercenaries only had Buffalo to fall back to, nearly surrounded by water. There were nowhere else that the enemy could go, providing Sharina with the perfect tactical opporunity to eliminate the majority of enemy resistance aganist Operation Colonial.

The battle for Buffalo raged for over a week, as Sharina forces pounded Buffalo with their Colossus batteries, while launching several dozen bombing raids. The defenders stubbornly held on, fighting to the death for each inch lost amid the rubble and debris of what had once been Buffalo. Several historians have compared Buffalo to the Siege of Stalingrad during World War II. However, in this case, the Siege of Stalingrad was a failure with the Germans, yet with Sharina, it was a success.

Upon the fall of Buffalo and the elimination of the enemy forces there, the Fodian Resistance, as it would come to be called, lost much of its strength and will. The last remaining strongholds of the Fodian Resistance were located in Pennsylvania and Maine. Resistance crumbled in New Jersey upon Sharina's successful siege and capture of New York City, Newark, and Trenton, throwing the doors wide open for the assault on Delaware and eventually Maryland.

Delaware surrendered to Sharina without much of a fight, as it knew it had no chance aganist the Sharinan juggernaut enveloping the New England region. Another reason behind Delaware's quick surrender to Sharina was that Delaware had been a hot-bed of pacificsm in Fodmodmadtol just prior to the nation's dissolution.

With Delaware out of the way, along with the capture of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania, the way to Maryland was laid bare. The Battle of Baltimore took merely four hours, as Sharina launched a massive precision strike sortie aganist the city, employing no less than 300 heavy bombers, along with a mighty escort of 900 fighter aircraft. After the initial precision bombing run, the enemy infantry was demoralized, and resistance was quickly eliminated.

With the fall of Baltimore, the Fodian Resistance officially came to an end in the Western half of the New England region. Several sporadic battles by small scale gurriella bands continued throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New York for several weeks. The city of Washington D.C. surrendered unconditionally to Sharina, as it did not want to end up as Rochester or Baltimore, especially with Washington D.C.'s historical sites such as the Washington Mounment, Capitol Building, the White House, Lincoln Memorial, among others.

While Sharina was in the process of clearing out the Fodian Resistance in Pennsylvania and Maryland, Sharina chased several mercenary bands and small groups of Fodian Resistance fighters that escaped Rochester and Buffalo sieges. The fleeing enemy forces escaped to Vermont, initating a scorched earth policy, razing all towns and cities they came across. Consquently, Sharina finally caught up with the fleeing enemies in eastern Vermont as the enemy was busy undertaking their self-destructive plans.

The fleeing Fodian Rebellion and the mercenary forces were easily crushed by Sharinan forces as the enemy had no place to hide or defend in, as the enemy had foolishly razed former Fodian fortifications and cities. Sharina surrounded the enemy in the ruins of Montpelier, and decimated the enemy forces. The city was literally leveled, as the rebel forces had detonated tons of napalm explosives throughout the city.

A substantial Fodian Resistance Force moved into New Hampshire from Maine, in an attempt to create a new Fodian state, which gave Sharina the perfect initative to unify New Hampshire with the rest of the Sharina Technocracy. The campaign in New Hampshire went relatively quick, compared with the gritty campaign in New York and Pennsylvania. Upon the annexation of Maryland, Sharina was able to bring far more aircraft, bombers, and other military assets to deploy aganist a much smaller overall Fodian force than what was faced previously.

With the conclusion of Sharina's campaign in New England and clearing out all Fodian Resistance and elimination of the mysterious mercenary forces, Sharina stood ready to pursure the next stage of its expansion, which would be the last in North America for a long while.

The UPR still has 100,000 troops left. Unfortunately these are all spread out all over the place.

Regarding Egypt:

The UPR has established an alliance and free trade agreement with the new Egyptian government. Up until the incident we were preparing to send 5,000 troops to Egypt to assist in training their forces. However, in light of recent events we are unable to carry out our share of the agreement.

Due to the attack on our homeland, 15,000 reservists have switched to the active component of the armed forces, volunteering for duty in the UAE.
As much as their enthusiasm is a example for all other Whittierite's to follow, the new troopers are being assigned to the Navy and being sent to Bandar Abbas to rebuild the naval facility there.

I'm the youngest, as the other 9 Tactical Generals are entering their 90's and 100's. They still have several decades ahead of them, but I would have easily double their experience and service-years once I reach retirement age.

Going from an arrogrant ass, sure of himself and seemingly invincible, running down fortified positions in the rainforests of Guatemala, to a man humbled by his responibility of millions of lives and jobs. My, how people change! Over forty years is virtually instant by Sharina historical standards, yet it is seemingly a life-time for an individual.

I wonder how my wife and children have been faring. I remember the lush gardens of our home in San Franscico, overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. My wife told me she is expecting another Hatching Time, and expects it within a couple of weeks. I must remind myself to take a time of leave so that I can attend to my wife and children as they deal with the Hatching Time. This would be my wife's third Hatching Time, and I wonder how well she will fare. During her first Hatching Time, she laid two eggs, and during her second Hatching Time, she laid three eggs. Perhaps this time she would hatch four eggs?

Pra'vac laughed to himself, awash in memories and anticipation.

Progress Update on Operation Colonial.

Sharina forces have managed to secure the western 1/3 of Ontario, as resistance was surprisingly light, given the relations between Sharina and the former nation of Celack. Relations have been nothing short of amicable, allowing for far more peaceful integration with the Sharina Technocracy than would have otherwise been possible.

Preparations are underway to deal with possible resistance strongholds in Eastern Ontario, and along the Great Lakes area of Ontario. Options being considered include a massive napalm bombing campaign similiar to what took place in North Dakota in the late 90's. Another option is to launch massive conventional missile and blitzkrieg campaign. However, this option would not be able to be fully implemented for several months as Sharina's forces are still tied up in mopping up operations in former Fodmodmadtol territories.

The Napalm Bombing solution would leave Sharina's West Coast with a significant lack of Heavy Bombers, but this is not of a serious issue, considering the troubles of the UFSR dealing with Vineyard's rebellion, along with the near-implosion of the Whittier nation. Should the UFSR manage to move aganist Sharina, which is unlikely at this time, it would only be able to send a token force or risk being overrun by Vineyard and other possible rebellious states.

A similiar campaign is being considered aganist Maine, as satellite surivellance has indicated that there are some considerable fortifications deep inside forested hills and mountains. However, Maine has insufficient farmland and food production facilities to sustain the rebels and former Fodian Loyalists still holding out there.

Sharina's primary objective is the capture of Portland and possibly Bangor, the last major Fodian strongholds. Once those two cities are taken, Sharina can smash the last vestiges of Fodians hiding out in Baxter Forest, formerly known as Baxter National Forest Park. With the capture of Maine and its wealth of resources sadly neglected by the former United States of America and then in turn Fodmodmadtol, New England will finally be formally re-unified after nearly 50 years.

Operation Jade Bridge continues to stall, as most of Sharina's manpower and resources are being focused upon Operation Colonial. Small advances have been made throughout Columbia, annexing roughly the southern half of the former nation. However, with the conclusion of Operation Colonial, Sharina will be able to re-focus its resources and power into Operation Jade Bridge, ensuring quick and efficient results.

While the two groups apparently seem to oppose each other, both groups seem united in their attacks on Mauiwowee in the area. Overtures to the PNLA have been made, according to General Ripper, but no reply or discussions have been initiated yet. Forces are ashore in the Phillipines, but the going in slow due to terrorist activities. The military is reporting that as of today, the Mauiwowee death toll in the Phillipines is over 9,500 and the cost of the operation, including the ships sunk in the Battle of the Purple Carrier, are approximately $675 billion. Meanwhile, clean up operations and the devotion of medical personnel to our island that was nuked as well as assistance to Whittier to deal with their nuclear devastation at the hands of the Arabic Jihad continue at a cost of almost $320 million/month.

Their destination is unknown. The First Army is alos ready to be transported. What the reason for this mobilization is also unknown.

The marine convoi halted near the island. The men were briefed last night what the cause for this trip was. The destination would be Chile and Argentina and on to Paraguay and Bolivia. They were surpirsed, but they were even more surprised when they were awoken 45 minutes ago. They were ordered to get ready in full battle gear. Suddenly...

The last marine was right. As the men scrambled on the decks and into the docking ports they saw a glimp of a tropical island. The first wave entered the landing craft and the boats moved away from the large transports. Naval guns were firing on fake targets as planes flew over towards the island. The boats lowered their ramps and the marines stormed on the beach. The were surprised to se that they had targets which moved and also fired on them (just bean bags). They quickly recovered after a few "casualties" and after a few minutes they controlled the beach. The second and first waves also landed and they moved inland...

The island was under control before noon. The marines returned to the ships as the next Marine regiment prepared to land. This entire operation would take a few days but the marines would be ultimatly prepared for what would come.

The Troop were trekking onwards through the Samar jungle.

The troop was well equipped, most sported AK-74s stolen from CoB camps, there were 23 left because of some of the losses from the raids.

The Troop was ambushed by the CoB and only four men managed to bring their weapons up, two with AKs, 1 with a FAL, 1 with a Minimi, the rest were slaughterd.

Reconstruction Progress Report:

Huge areas that had been affected by radiation have finally been decontaminated.
The naval facility at Bandar Abbas is in the beginning stage of being rebuilt. Meantime, the fleets that were on the way back from the Pacific have docked in Singapore till further notice.

Reconstruction takes place all around the nation now as Whittierites rebuild roads and other infrastructure.

In Armenia/Azerbaijan reconstruction is also moving along as is the pacification and the occupation. Though the invasion of Kazahkstan had to be canceled in wake of the catastrophy.

In Luzon the remaining Whittier forces continue operations to subdue the island. The northern jungle of the island had been in the process of being burned to the ground when the terrorists struck. So now the northern half of the island would be secure while the insurgents and terrorists had no place to go except south. The fact that the jungle was destroyed on the northern half made it all that much easier for the northern half of Luzon to be occupied and for pacification of the locals to begin. Like in Iran and elsewhere, reconstruction of vital infrastructure was well underway. Though some troops had to be taken away to be retrained for other tasks.

In the south pacific, Vanuatu, Fiji, and American Samoa were also seens of reconstruction. Terrorists having attacked even those island paradises by blowing up religious sites. For the terrorists, nothing was sacred, everything is fair game.

On the Comorros, reconstruction and deradiation were fully under way. As with every where troops were, some were ordered to under go retraining (to become supply and log. people).

In Madagascar, Whittier's bases had been hit but with more conventional means. Whittier's command group on the island had ordered an investigation as how the terrorists got on the island in the first place.

In Bahrain and Qatar, the lands had been deradiated and reconstruction by the whittier troops in those lands was under way at last. House to House searches had turned up a total of 750 members of Arabian Jihad along with huge caches of weapons.

In UAE, the war continued. Troops and civilians alike were fired upon by terrorists as they attempted to decon the nation. So while civilians continued efforts to decon UAE, the remnant of the expeditionary force continued on into the desert in hot pursuit of Arabian Jihad's main group of terrorists.
They found themselves in a huge firefight near the UAE/Vineyard border and taking heavy casualties.
Commander Grissly was forced to call home for air support and to neighboring Vineyard for reinforcements from the Saudi/Omani side of the border.

One of the men turned pale and adjusted his collar.
The two men strode down the hallway, passing Napeolean paintings and figure heads. They stalked through the garden where the Fig trees fruit were just ripening and would be ready to eat soon. 4 guards stood in front of the royal quarters.

The guards stood aside and swung open the heavy Mahogeny doors. Inside the room were 7 bodies. The first was a jihadist, who by the looks of him had the ever-living snot beaten out of him. He also was missing a limb. He still clutched an Ak-47.

The second man was missing a head, and judging by his garb, he was also a Jihadist.

The third Body was an Imperial guards man, with no less than 37 bullets in him. His face was frozen in an startled experssion.

The fourth was another poor Jihadist. Suprisingly, most of his organs were still inside his open chest cavity.

The fifth was a young boy. He had the charastic Vineyardian look about him and was tall for his age of 6, but with blond hair. He had been shot in the head, execution style.

The sixth body was that of a tall young woman in her late 20's. She had sholder length blond hair with deep blue eyes.

And the seventh body was that of Lord Vineyard II himself, clutching a bloody sword, with bullets pumped into his chest.

A detective who was standing at the side of the room fingerprinting a window ran over and scolded him for contaiminating possible evidence. The two men were quickly ushered out of ther room, and the doors closed on them.

A few days ago our nation was viciously assaulted by ruthless terrorists whose goal is to establish a one world government where religious freedom is banned. Where only members of their religious caste allowed to work or own property or even seek political office. In their attempt to destroy our nation and destabilize the world, the evil leaders of Arabian Jihad allied with the south pacific terror group Cult of Barney. Over the years our ships and those of our friends and allies have been forced to suffer ship boardings, in which members of Arabian Jihad forcefully boarded their ships either in the Persian Gulf or in the Red Sea seizing cargo and abducting crew or passengers at gun point. The cargo often being found on the international black market afterwards. Crew or passengers being forced into slavery. Women and children raped and sold into the most vicious form of slavery of all, sexual slavery. Due to the nature of the crimes and the location, it was incumbent upon our nation to bring a halt this severe piracy on the high seas, as Arabian Jihad had started to expand pirate operations into the Indian Ocean. For months, I attempted to coax the governments of Sudan, Qatar, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates into ceasing their support of piracy and terror. Those governments refused. Therefore, 8 months ago, I ordered Whittier's Special units into the Persian Gulf states of Bahrain, Qatar, and United Arab Emirates to oust the regimes who allied themselves with piracy and terror and to bring Arabian Jihadists to justice. The Special Forces were reinforced with 60,000 Marines. Though Bahrain fell terrorists struck in Qatar and in UAE. But the terrrorists of Qatar were brought to heel quickly afterward. But the fighting in the United Arab Emirates intensified and we lost many many men.
In order to free up forces and finish off the liberation of the Phillipines, I authorized our Generals on Luzon to do whatever it took to put an end to the insurgency on Luzon island. The following day, 150 aircraft from the Battle Island Smokey Robinson began firebombing the entire jungle of north Luzon driving the terrorists and the rebels out of hiding.
Unfortunately, the following week, COB's fellow terrorist organization Arabian Jihad struck our nation with a devastating series of nuclear attacks. They struck when we had our guard down. That will never happen again. They sought to create division between ourselves and our allies. They sought to destroy the morale of our nation and of our armed forces by killing over 1.78 billion innocent people, men, women, and children.
But, Arabian Jihad failed to take into account the strong character of Whittierites, the moral and patriotism of our armed forces. In the wake of the attacks, every Whittierite, including those who have voiced strong differences with the policies of the current government, rallied to the defense of their nation. The leaders of Arabian Jihad must have cringed in fear as they saw hundreds of thousands of Whittierites who survived the jihadist attack on our, take to the streets protesting and lining up to join the fight in the United Arab Emirates. Unfortunately, due to the fact that we must give health care to those who are in need and provide relief until our economy is fully recovered, we were only able to accept 15,000 citizens. I hope to change that in the future. At this moment those 15,000 are rebuilding Bandar Abbas naval base on the straight of Hormuz.
When given the chance to come home, our forces in the UAE volunteered to stay and continue the fight against piracy. Troops every where volunteered to go to UAE, but we needed them where they were to assist in clean up and deradiation.
Friends and allies have been aid. Warta Endor, Mauiwowee, and TG6R are allowing our fleets to dock at their ports and resupply. Our ally, Vineyard has clamped down on terrorist hideouts in Oman and Saudi Arabia. Some nations have been sending food and medical assistance. On behalf of a grateful nation, I say to their governments, Thanks, we will not forget the assistance you have rendered in our time of need. Nor will we forget you in yours.
The reconstruction of Whittier and the occupied territories continues. Despite our governments inability to shift funds toward environmental cleanup, the nationalist pride of the citizens of the Union of People's Republics has given private citizens the motivation to donate and assist in deradiation and toxic site clean up through out the nation and in occupied lands. Thanks to the work of private Whittierites, the Union of People's Republics is now number 2 in the region for best cared for environment. Whittierites around the world having been pitching in to assist their fellow Whittierites in recovering their lives. And I have ordered a shift in funding. Before the attacks, social welfare spending was at 0%. Today its at 37%.
Before the attacks, military spending was at 47%. Today it is at 9%. The lowest in our nation's history. Both Healthcare and Education spending are up as we work to provide health services to those who need it.
With an unemployment rate of 10.25% and the destruction of our major industries we still have a long way to go on our national recovery.
Despite the efforts of Arabian Jihad, free speech is still protected in our nation. And life is still valued as evidenced by the recent passing of a law affirming the ban on euthanasia. Crime itself, formerly a problem, has ceased as a result of Whittierites coming together to rebuild their nation. In response to our rebuilding needs, the Politburo for the first time in a while, instituted taxes of 40%. Because I believed the money should be spent on providing assistance and healthcare to those who need it and that people ought to be able to use their money to bring their lives back on track and to help those who need help, I ordered those taxes cut to 32%.
This is not what Arabian Jihad had in mind.
Our forces in the UAE will continue their fight against Arabian Jihad until AJ is either destroyed or rotting in an international prison.

In our top story this evening, we have good news to report - Hong Kong officially surrendered to General Lian Li earlier this afternoon. After almost 120 days of total isolation and siege by the Mauiwoweean naval forces and South East China military brigades, all that remained of the former JeetKuneDo government in Hong Kong was forced to admit defeat. Upon the promise by General Li that medicinal and food stuffs would be shipped in to allievate the situation, the former mayor of Hong Kong, Sing Jone Hillal surrendered the city to the control of General Li and her forces. Here is a short film clip from a press conference held by General Li to announce the fall of Hong Kong and the consolidation of Mauiwoweean control over all of South East China.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the press. I've called you here to announce the formal surrender of Hong Kong to Mauiwoweean control. As you are aware for the past 117 days, Mauiwowee has laid seige to the city. No one and nothing have been permitted to enter the area and anyone attempting to leave was either killed or forcibly returned. For the past 8 days we had begun to hear rumors that canabilism was taking place in the city, we cannot confirm this rumor, but we do know that the majority of the citizenry was in near starvation conditions. With the only electricity in the city coming from in town portable generators that ran on a rapidly diminishing supply of fuel, frozen food has long been gone from the diet of the people. Canned and packaged food stuff can only last so long and with no inbound shipments, it is reasonable to believe that there was simply no more food or water for the citzenery. Fighting was minimal in the seige with Mauiwowee losing only 18 soldiers and 5 sailors towards the begininning of operation "Starve 'em" as the campaign was called. We have declared matial law for the time being and distribution points for food and medicine are being set up by the 8,000 or so soldiers and special forces we have sent into the area to sweep out any last pockets of resistance.

"I know how all of you have been dying to set foot on the colonies."

The SWAT team muttered to each other.

"This is going to be a quick in and out mission. If we're lucky, we'll go unnoticed, and won't get tied up in these idiotic politics. We're not here to make a scene, we're only here to retrieve The Viceroy and The Antigone."

It was a narrow vessel, plated with dark seamless steel. There were two benches along each wall, padded with black cushions and strapped with black buckles. The runners along the division between them illuminated the quarters faintly, the dozen SWAT members donned from head to toe in black. What they were wearing fitting like a glove, clinging tightly to their skin, helmets the only awkward piece of the uniform. The tiny vessel was rocking back and forth, jostling the crew. The three others in the cockpit, no more than five feet away from a SWAT labeled AA ( the leader ), were chattering away on comms and twittering with the controls. A vast expanse of black was the only thing before them, the clock not having passed one.

"When we evacuated all key personnel from Administration-Corporation, we were mistaken in assuming The Viceroy and The Antigone were dead. They managed to escape... Them. Our records show that they were last in Norleans, heading to The Great Sixth Reich. We're landing in an Enterprise Association Aeroport, in Prague. There we have a contact whom we'll meet up with, who has information regarding our objective. We'll receive further orders from the Hierarchy upon contact."

The pilot up front shouted something back to SWAT AA, and waved his hand. SWAT AA waved to the dozen SWATs before him, and they all braced for landing.

"Remember... In and out... Don't be seen... Don't make contact... And even if it means death... Don't become captured..."

The SWAT members nodded grimly, and flipped their visors down. Every single one of the dozen gripped their guns a little too tightly as the landing craft came to a shuddering halt, shaking violently as it collided with the ground. The hatch at the far end of the landing craft, at the end of the runners, was released. The SWAT rushed out into the night of Prague. The last SWAT member had just stepped from the landing craft when it sealed the hatch. By the count of three, boosters were charges, and the vessel blasted into the sky. When the dust had cleared, and the soft whine of the landing craft was lost in the mingled roar of air traffic over Enterprise Association Aeroport Prague, there was no sign such a mission has ever been initiated.

As Minister of Economics I can confirm that the Union of People's republics is well into a bullish economic recovery despite the terrorists attacks that recently devastated our nation.

The Marine Convoi had left the Island of Starbuck, after a few days of training and practise for both the marines and the navy. They were now half way between Starbuck and South America when the convoi parted in two sections, the smaller one (A Fleet) consisting of 2 divisions (100000 men) heading for Antonvegasta in Nortern Chile while the other one (B Fleet) consisting of 4 divisions and four regiments (240000 men) would round Cape Horn and attack Argentina. Or rather, a small force consisting of one regiment (10000 men) would invade the Falklands while three other regiments (30000 men) would invade Tierra Del Fuego, the southern most tip of South America. The Four other divisionsw ould invade in the Golfo San Jorge. Meanwhile, the First Army would be flown in, or actually is flown in at this moment, and would attack Bolivia, Paraguay and Argentina from our ally's Brazil (Mauiwowee). Also underway were 145 F16I, packed in C17 Globemasters. A further 250 would arrive per ship. For the more heavier support are the B52 and B2, 85 of the first and 35 of the second, who would fly directly from bases in Warta Endor.

Operation Diamond Spring (the invasion) HQ, Tarawa

Gen. Hidinski would lead the entire operation from Tarawa. At his old age (67 this year) he would be the old experienced veteran who would lead this campaign. He was promised that he would be the governor of Warta Endorean South America and he was up to it. "Finaly, an easy job till my death. And not a bad one." His Adjudant, Maj. Prozoka, was a young (28 years old) and promising man. He had served in Thailand as one of the SF. He was awared with a Red Star and promotion during operation Hammer and Anvil. He and his platoon had first discovered the large hidden base and had endured heavy losses. Prozoka had taken over command once the commander had been killed and he had done it succesfully. While Hidinski was thinking of old battles and the new ones to come he was interrupted by Lt. Dongojuna who walked in his office.

Lt. Dongojuna:"Sir, the convoi has parted and A fleet is doing a nice half speed. B fleet is running like hell to catch up with the schedule."
Hidinski:"Great, when will the air force arrive?"
Dongojuna:"They have left this morning Singapore time and will arrive in...*checks his watch*... 7 hours. Both the bombers and the F16I in the transports."
Hidinski:"Ok, order that once the pilots have rested they will start bombing designated targtes inside the invasion countries. Buenas Aires is high on the hit list. Could be fun...And does artillery and air force have......the...load?"
Dongojuna:"They're well provided just in case. Are you sure this is wise to do?"
Hidinski:"I'm sure. Though I don't like it. I want this over fast and with as little casualties as possible, nomatter what the cost. "
Dongojuna:"Righty o, sir!"
Hidinski:"Good."

The lieutanent left and Hidinski turned to the window which over looked the Lagoon. This would be though, but not Impossible...

Ooc. RL tomorrow the Marines will invade, the Army in two days while the Air force will start bombing runs tonight. Now I'm going for a hot bath, it's bloody 13 degrees centigrad out here!

Today the government has reached a settlement with the navy. No person in the navy will be laid off. In exchange the Navy has agreed that all naval personnel will take a cut. Their pay will be reduced from 40,000 canali to 19000 canali.
However, the government, will still be storing the warships. In order to raise more funds to finish decontaminating certain areas, some of these warships will be sold. All ships, except the battle islands, are for sale.

0625 hours-Golfo San Jorge

The navy had barraged the beach for three hours now. The town of Comodoro Rivadavia was burning. Now it was to the marines to storm the beaches. Resistence should be light as it was pretty well in the middle of nowhere and the Argentinean armed forces were in a dramatic shape due to budget cuts. The marines manned the craft and they headed for the beach. The old ritual of ramps lowering, marines shouting and screaming started all over again. The beach was pretty easily secured and the men moved inland under fighter cover. This would be easy...

0625-Falkland Islands

The destroyers and frigates of the navy had shelled Stanly and Goose Green airport. There was no enemy presence to be seen. Also here the marines moved towards the shore, but this time it was VERY easy. No one shot at them, no man was lost, though one boat had problems and sunk, three marines were missing, the rest could be picked up. They captured Stanly and the airport and quickly secured East Falkland. West Falkland would come tomorrow.

1215 hours-Tierra del Fuego

The Marines had heared of the landings on the Falklands and in the Golfo San Jorge. Their moral was high andthey were keen to do their job. They had to roll up the Argies and the Chileans in the Tierra as they called it and move northward through the sparsly populated Patagonia area and link up with the boys from the bay. They manned their craft and moved towards shore. A few stray bullets zinged over their heads and a few new guys saw a bit white.

"Come on boys! Don't worry it's nothin'! You should have been up in Thailand! Fieuw, that was hot!"
"Oh god, come and give me salvation. Hail mary..."

The ramp lowered and the Sarge who spoke encouraging words to the new guys sprinted up the beach. Suddenly he stop and fell over. Bullet straight between his eyes...War is and always will be a bloody bussiness. Meanwhile, the forces which had landed in the Golfo San Jorge had secured quite an area. The men had orders to advance as far as possible, dig in around 5 a clock and wait for the heavier equipment. The entire First Army had arrived in Brazil and Uruguay and waited till they were adjusted to the new surroundings. They moved into the positions on the borders and dug in. The air force continued to execute air raids on the major cities and strategic points. Buenos Aires was a regular target and the civillian population started to flee the city. Meanwhile A fleet had reached Antonvegesta and had forced a landing. The terrain and the resistence made it a hard job to fight there. Though rich in minerals it was a desert enviroment. Their orders were to secure the entire northern part of Chile (as divided between Hataria and me) and move over the Andes into Bolivia and Northern Argentina and link up with the forces there.

The war had really started now. After a twelve hour lasting artillery bombardment the 1st Army had crossed the borders with Bolivia, Paraguay and Argentina. Armoured columns had penetrated deeply in enemy territory. Aerial bombardments reached an all time high as the 250 extra F16I had arrived in Uruguay and Brazil. Also the new B300 bombers had entered service and flew missions out of the Kiribati Islands. Buenos Aires and other major cities were regular targets for the bomberfleet of Warta Endor. Fear struck any Argentinean, Bolivian, Paraguayan or Chilean if they saw white stripes high up appearing, or heared the distant rumble of the low flying fighters. Down south the marines who landed on Tierra del Fuego had secured it and linked up with their comrades up north. The northern frontline was positioned along the river Negro, 400 miles from Buenos Aires. The government was in serious distress.

Gen. Lopigo:"We must evacuate Buenos Aires. Now that the northern borders have also been violated...The enemy is barely 100 miles North from here!"
President Camindoros:"But where shall we go?"
Gen. Lopigo:"We must reach Mendoza. We can hold out in the Andes a little longer. We should also try to make a daring move. What's the status of the Air Force?"
Lt. Flores:"The Air Fleet has suffered heavy casualties in air combat and on bombing runs. We have...34 Mirages, 65 Skyhawks and 8 Brand New F16. Why do you ask that?"
Gen. Lopigo:"Do we know the position of the Warta Endorean Fleet?"
Lt Flores:"Yes, it's near the Falklands according to reports. Why?"
Gen. Lopigo:"Good, I order a strike to be made by all planes on the fleet."
Lt. Flores:"But that would effectivly destroy the Air Force!"
Gen. Lopigo:"We're doomed anyway. Do it!"
Lt. Flores:"Ye-yes sir!"

On the road from Paysandu, Uruguay, to Santa Fe, Argentina

The 3rd Armoured Divison, First Army, was rolling easily over the road towards the city of Santa Fe. The men were sitting easily and relaxed in their tanks, APC's and other armoured stuff. Relaxed, but wary for any enemy presence. They had rolled over the border which was defended by a few bunkers and fortified positions. All of them had been destroyed by the murderous artillery fire and air attacks.

Gen. Hidinski:"Buddha Bless technology! Major, I would still like a briefing of the situation."
Maj. Prozaka:"Righty O, sir. Ehm...Yes, the Falklands have been secured, as is the Tierra del Fuego. The frontline for the marines now runs along the river Negro, as you can see. The Marines in Chile have encountered heavy resistence near Copiapo, 300 miles south from Antofagasta. They have broke through the Andes Line and are now in western most Bolivia. The Army has joined the fray from the North-Northeast. Armoured and Mechenized columns have penetrated deeply in enemy territory. Enemy resistence seems to be broken."
Gen. Hidinski:"Never underestimate a nearly defeated enemy. I want 7500 SF to reinforce the Army. Those could even capture Buenos Aires in a swift surprise paradrop."

Gen. Hidinski:"That's it for now. I'm back to my office."

Top Secret Update-Operation Shining Diamond-To the Eyes of Generel Hidinski only

I must firstly say that the operation reasonbly succesfull, but a few things
worry the field staff. Our first main concern is that resistence is becoming
heavier; especially on the Southern Front and the Paraguay front. The latter
is becomming a stalemate which can't be broken. The Southern front is
slowly moving towards Buenos Aires, which is now at about 20 kilometers
distance from the front. The Paraguay front as said is becomming a WWI like
front. Enemy positions are bombarded bij artillery and air units 24/7, but it
won't collapse. Several commanders, including me, have suggested that "the
load" should be used to break the front line and close the ring around Buenos
Aires.

It is a matter of great importance to quickly end this war. The Paraguay front
has suffered 10896 casualties already...

Lt. General Budjohny, Field Operations Commander South America

Hidinski put the message down and thought. He was thinking of "the load": 25000 shells of mustardgas and 15000 Shells of Sarin. He made up his mind a wrote a quick message which he sent to Budjohny. The front must be broken, no matter the cost... He also issued an order to carpet bomb Buenos Aires and shoot at everything that moves on the roads in and out the city. He wasn't in a very good mood today.

The economy and infrastructure continue to recover and policies to integrate to integrate Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bahrain, and north Qatar into the UPR continue.

Fighting continues on Luzon. While combat operations continue in the UAE.

It was quickly over. Once the chemical weapons had been used the front broke. Several sectors were bombarded with the shells which contained Mustard Gas and Sarin. Sectors which weren't attacked soon heared of the attacks and abandoned their positions. Units in NBC suits, APC's and Tanks quickly moved over the bridges. Buenos Aires is now completly besieged and bombarded by artillery and air units. The front now is within the city, some 5 miles from the Ministery of Defence, which seems to be the centre of enemy activity. General Hidinski meanwhile has first travelled to Singapore to join the rest of the staff who will represent Warta Endor at young King Rox coronation.

After negotiations the Argentinean gouvernment surrendered. Chile, Paraguay, Bolivia, the Falklands and now Argentina have surrendered for Warta Endor's might. The new ruler of the area, General Hidinski is currently in Australia for the coronation of King Rox of Mauiwowee but he will return as soon as possible. To defend the new territories a colonial army will be raized.

Of the three A380's one plane was equipped as HQ for the time while the coronation would take place. Today's discussion was about the defence of Warta Endorean South America (WESA). Now that a new colonial army was being formed the 1st Army could be brought back home. All the marine divisions would return home as well, while the Northern Mariana's Naval Detachment would be relocated to the Falklands.

Well, the Olympics were a good idea. I must say that I'm very confused about who's member of EarthV and who's not. I think a effective clean up of EarthV could be usefull. I'll make a list of persons who haven't IC posted in EarthV or are DEAT'ed.

I like the idea of a map at the top of the claims thread - people are visual.
Oh, and I'm trying to get back in the game - time is a precious commodity these days for me though. Things appear to be settling down a little though. Just assume for now that Mauiwowee has been wrapped up consolidating control and new proceedures under the reign of new king Rox and Norleans has been consolidating control over it's newly conquered areas of Kentucky, etc. in North America.

Greetings. UNIverseVERSE apologises for her recent inactivity on the world stage, but we were unfortunately preoccupied with internal affairs.

However, we will try to rectify this situation, and are taking this opportunity to announce the takeover of Russia by the UvV Armed Forces, and the subsequent withdrawal from Bhutan and Guam if this is successful.

We will be taking control up to the Ural mountains, and from there westward it is not our resposibility.

Field Marshall Lao sat down in his comfy chair and pressed one of the buttons on his desk. An aide came in with reports from all HQ's and Command Centres. Naval Afairs were ok, just a few plans for a new class of ships to be constructed. The Air Force was doing good, a few trials being held and an update of the B2 squad comming up. The Army was expanding and had a few important things:
-Notify HQ of the withdrawal of Wirraway out of Asia.
-Sign an order that will allow SF into former Wirrawayan Burma and Bangladesh. A total of 12000 troops (of the 15000 stationed in Thailand) will be used. The operations will include training of locals into resistence militia's and undermining of the current gouvernments. The ultimate goal is annexation of these territories.
-Ask for permission to develop plans for the conquest of Sri Lanka.

He sighed and singed a few documents, rejected some others and took a few sips of his whiskey. He was thinking what to do now. He wanted to retire and move to a quite place on this earth...but he still felt a deep love for Warta Endor and the need to expand it to the great boundries the old dictator Jang had laid out. 1} The Projection operation, moving military power into Russia, and the conquest and takeover of the Asian Sectors.

Projected timeframe: 4 months

2} The Consolidation operation, to quell any minor insurrections, and establish our rule.

3} The Resettlement operation, during which a large portion of the current citizenship will be relocated to the new Russian territories

His name was Timothy Senojonus, he was only twenty-nine, and this was his first major task in the government since he had joined. He was to be responsible for conveying messages like this during the first two stages of the plan, and he was then responsible for overseeing the next three stages, to ensure that it all went smoothly. It looked good on paper, and would catapult him through the bureaucracy. He just wasn't sure if he could do it.

Looking at him, the President realized what must be going through the young man's head. "Don't worry," he said softly, 'you'll do fine. We were all at the bottom once, even I."

His words cheered Timothy immensely, and he managed to stammer out "T-t-t-tha-thank y-y-you s-sir."

"That's a good man. Now, get on with it!" replied the president, and at once Timothy stepped smartly out the door, feeling a good deal more confident.

"Why did you tell him that?" Asked Terence King, the president's most trusted advisor, lounging in a chair near the edge of the room, who had watched the whole scene with interest." If he does get it wrong now, it'll be even worse on him."

"You know what it felt like. So did I. Your first big task, the one that was your big chance, that your fortunes were riding on." Terence nodded, but still looked skeptical. "Oh come on man," said President Kresten, sitting down in the chair opposite, "give the kid a chance."

"Okay, I will. It just looked a bit unusual to me, that's all.” Replied Terence. “Anyway, it shouldn’t really matter, he’s really only overseeing the whole thing, so he won’t have much of a chance to muck it up.”

“Yeah, but can you imagine what that would have done to the guy’s self-confidence? He’d have been crushed.” Answered Kresten, as he wound down from the concerns of office, and cracked open a beer.

The UPR would offer assistance but we currently in the process of rebuilding Whittier occupied Azerbaijan and Armenia.
If you need we can dispatch 2,000 troops into Chechnya to assist you there.

Whittier finally announces the capture of the notorios Arabian Jihad leadership in the UAE.
Brezhnekov has declared combat operations in the Persian gulf nations of Qatar, UAE, and Bahrain over. The reconstruction of the United Arab Emirates and the incorporation of Bahrain, North Qatar and United Arab Emirates into the Union of People's Republics can now get under way.
The war against Arabian Jihad in the Persian Gulf has cost us over 500,000 troops and the Politburo is now discussing legislation to rebuild the military strength. There are now 5,000 troops remaining in the entire UPR military.
Many tanks were also destroyed in the war and they will have to be replaced.
