Yes! We've seen it all this winter. I (and everyone else) have two inches of permafrost on the driveway that isn't going anywhere until spring. The other day we had thunderstorms with sleet and rain! Today, 5 inches of fresh snow fell.

Venus sighed. "It's basically torture.", Muttered Venus angrily. "They whipped me, beat me, starved me, wouldn't let me sleep, forced me to do tasks. Then they worked on my mentality, my emotions, and my powers. They broke me. Over and over." Venus continued to talk but she was no longer looking at Vex, she was staring off into space. "They said it would make me stronger, better. I hate myself. I hate being this THING! If I hadn't become a F*CKING GRIM THEY'D NEVER HAD DONE THIS TO ME!" Venus then screamed and through heard into her hands and started crying. "I was always alone. No one was there. No one. Just me and Gogi. BUt a dog can't talk to you, or console you, or hold you. I HATE WHAT I AM!" Venus sobbed into her hands, forgetting she was in the middle of the club and talking to Vex.

"No" Whispered Venus. "They know everything. When I tried to rip of one of my back markings, they sent Ko. He gave me the one on my belly. I'm never safe their always there. I'm scared Vex." Venus hugged Vex tightly and cried softly.

Venus sighed into Vex. "He won't come back. So long as I don't try removing the marks. Or "Interfer with human problems". I just hate knowing that they know they can control me. But what I hated more was being alone. I mean even after coming back, no one talks to me. Gael said like two words, Tink just said hi, Vinn(I just met him) he saved me once, but ignored me later. You're the only one to actually TALK to me. Thank you." Venus hugged Vex with gratitude. "thank you"

I don't believe I've met this Vinn person...I'll have to keep an eye out. And just between you and me, Tink is under a LOT of stress right now. You can't blame her for not wanting to be too chatty.

And as far as Gael is concerned...don't feel too bad. She's a very private...creature. She doesn't talk much to me either. But you should thank your lucky stars she considers the Paradise Club a safe haven and most of it's patrons her friends. I, for one, sleep much better at night knowing she is lurking about.

"I'm actually quite tired, but I don't feel like going back out to my house. I think tonight I'll just stay in my old room here." Venus stopped hugging Vex and got up. She attached her sword to her belt and smiled at him. Really smiled at him. "But I suppose I should move on. Try to get past the past." Venus giggled a bit. "Well, good-night Vex." Venus leaned in to kiss him on the cheek again, but in the last second changed her mind and kissed him on the lips. Blushing she muttered another good-night and walked to her old room, a little grin playing on her lips.

*Sparren folds her arms tightly over herself and settles into her chair... she breathes shallowly and tries to think of something besides the impossible. she sighs and looks over at the other occupants of the club, eyes moving quickly across the room*

*She narrowed her eyes breifly as she stepped into the room, watching Venus leave, but quickly dropped all external signs of emotion. Lightly, she crossed to the bar for a pint*
