We have all the amenities of the previous clubs, including a restaurant and bar complete with karaoke machine, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, hot tubs, tennis courts, a casino, a beauty salon, and a championship 18 hole golf course and, there is a fabulous ballroom. sort of, my husband, well ex-husband had a daughter from a previous marraige, i quit university to stay at home and bring her up, i don't really get to see her anymore though

*In his heavy coat and warm Sorel boots, Vex walked down the first fairway of Paradise Country Club. the snow was light and fluffy and not too deep to make the trek difficult. he arrived at the first green and walked the 50 or so yards behind to look out over the rocky cliffs and down toward the water. a lone eagle caught an updraft and soared far out over the bay. it was an extraordinary sight to behold*

*after a few minutes, he pulled up his collar, wishing absently that he'd brought a warm cap with him, and began his march up the second fairway*

'well its a long story....but he was my guy, he gave me my daughter, then she died really young, then i found another man and now im pregnant again- its really confusing and I doubt you wanna hear it all' Tish said smiling.

'well, we became slightly amnesiac, he went missing for a while then appeared all....strange and detached from everyone and everything' she said, a few tears fell from her eyes

He's violent and beautifully unpredictable.

*She made her way back inside and joined the two women*

*Mercutio had finished shaving off his beard, exposing his fair weathered skin to his hands once again, it felt good, and it felt clean. With his hair also shaved near to entirely away, he looked almost handsome he thought. With the right clothing things would surely look much better, but in his present state he was still a nice looking man. He moved into the bath he had drawn and began to soak in the warm salts gingerly, the water was warm and soothing on his aching muscles... and he began do drift off into a blissfull daydream...*

'yeah it is....we were lovers, then when he disappeared, i presumed him dead' Tish said, drying her eyes.

*Orchid dismounted Spirit and found an old barn to stable him in.
There was some hay in one corner, so she tied him to a sturdy rail nearby, and pushed armfuls of the sweet hay under his nose.

She hung up his tack, on the nail beside the door, patted Spirit, and started the 100 yard or so walk to the club.

The snow was quite deep in places, and she was glad that she had put her riding boots on.

Reaching the club entrance, she heard voices from inside, which sounded like Tish and the newcomer Jenny, who she had met yesterday.

She opened the door, and quickly stepped inside, closing it hurriedly behind her.*

*Mercutio dreamed of all the places hed been, and people hed met in his travels before he had entirely run out of money and work... he imagined what it would be like to perform again, to hold an audience captive... the sounds of cheering... the smells of the auditoriums and venues as the crowd shuffled in... he missed it so much...*

In his startled state he jumped a little - being awoken so suddenly from his dream - and stood up, slightly exposing himself... water splashed onto the floor, his rubberduck lay at the foot of the tub upset in the wake and wash out of bubbles and steam...*

*having hiked the first nine holes, Vex found himself standing on the tenth tee, looking down the long doglegged fairway that ran along the water's edge. everything was pure white. even the sky was a grayish-white, fuzzy and lacking depth. the view seemed very surreal, somewhat sterile in it's monotone. but it was also clean, and new, and innocent. why the sight made him cry now, he did not know. it reminded him, perhaps, of lost opportunities. there had been many. so very many. or perhaps he wept for a new beginning. a fresh start. he longed for a second chance, a chance to right past wrongs, a chance to heal old wounds*

*the fourteenth tee was both the farthest point from the Paradise Club and the highest point on the course. the view behind and to the west was of storybook proportions. a mere 30 feet behind the tee box was an unassuming railing, built that way as to afford some safety to a viewer, but not take away from the natural beauty of the scene. beyond the railing was a drop off, over 100 feet straight down to the rocky beach below. Vex stood there now, poised like a Mexican cliff diver*

*Vex removed his coat, folded it neatly and laid it on the ground. he then turned, looking out over the calm, clear waters below him and wept his final tears*

Tish was sitting on her balcony, she suddenly felt a great sense of loss, like something had fallen, she contacted Mffanwy.

'The chef....he has fallen' was what echoed in her ear.

'More....tell me more' Tish said, her eyes tightly shut.

'The cliff, calm waters' came a distant answer.

Tish leapt out of her seat she ran to the cliff, her back ached terribly, she wobbled along....she knelt and looked over the cliff, she saw a body on the rocks below.

*Notices that Gael has a faraway look in her eye, and that strange whispering in her head once more, Orchid flinches.*

Tish tried to use the power she had to contact Gael.

'Gael, listen to me, its Letisha' a small distant voice she cast over the air, into Gaels ear.

'Vex....jumped....he's....dead' she said, clutching his jacket in her cold hands.

Yes, sometimes.

But usually I don't know what it means untill it's too late, I can't seem to understand what the voices try to tell me!

*a car pulls up in the frozen dark... and a lone person steps out onto the snow, then walks towards the window of the club, in the back of the vehicle there are bags packed which fill the rear of the car. At the window the stranger wipes away a bit of the frost, to allow enough room that he might peer inside. His breath is hot, and the fog quickly distorts his view as he sighs, turns and walks back to his car. A lonely tear trickles hot down his cold cheek as he mutters to himself walking away...*

Interesting.. Unfortunately I can't give you advice there. I don't have that ability. Something similar, but it's extremely limited.

Have you tried focusing on them or do you tune them out? It might help you understand..

Nekone moves to the center of the club proper... crouching, he tries to look under all the tables for Norti. His ears perk up when the sounds of something large is heard moving around on the ceiling. Heavy footfalls move around... and pause at the fireplace chimney... some snow and soot fall into the firepit.

Nekone growls softly and slowly backs up. Something large was coming down the chimney!

(OOC works hectic i dont know when i'l be on today if you like you can recapture norti just tg and let me know if u do kk sorry guys :( )

OOC: Oh, was wondering if you would use the distraction to escape or were you going to help with the fight. Don't work too hard.

Nekone take several steps forward and stops. Hissing, he backs up when a large Reptile slides out from the fireplace. Slowly, the reptile stands up like a human and a dry hiss escapes it's lipless mouth. It's yellow eyes focuses on the large cat before it... flexing it's claws, it starts to circle it's prey.

With a growl, Nekone leaps at the creature, claws extended and latches his teeth on it's shoulder... raking it's stomach with his hind claws while attempting to blind it with it's fore.

With a gargled hiss, the creature pulls Nekone off and tosses him like a stuffed animal into the far wall, against a man trying to get to the front door.

both collapsed into a heap, it senses victory, and starts running towards the furry mound, it moves in to the kill.

Rolling back onto his feet, Nekone rears up on his hind legs and meets the charge head on. Claws flashing, fangs biting, the two creatures trade rake for bite, and bite for rake.

Crashing through the tables and chairs, the two combatants waged a brutal war. Suddenly, one of Nekone’s fore claws catches the creature in the eye… in pain, it picks up Nekone and throws him over the bar… into the shelves of bottles. With a howl, it crashes through the door and out into the night.

OOC: for anyone else out there. The club is a mess. Anyone sleeping in the club proper… apologies, for you are now covered in bits of wood and glass. Norti is unconscious by the door, Decked when the creature threw Nekone against him. Nekone is out under shards of glass behind the bar. A few strange scales will be found all over the place.

Stag heard a commotion downstairs and he found the club in a mess, glass was everywhere and the bottles along the bar were trashed. He pickes his way warily among the glass, wondering if the person who had done this was still here. He looked over the bar and saw a mess of blood and fur.
'Nekone? Who could do this to you?' He was no vet, and decided to first get a better idea of what was going on than treat the wounded animal.
He saw an uncontious Norti by the door
'Norti? Wake up man! I could use some help, of all the times to be detached from reality, now is not one of them. please' He gave up and let him slump on the floor. He truseted him to be out of the cage and he seemed fine. If unconcious. He peered out of the open door into the cold darkness.
Suddnly a huge patch of snarling darkness lept towards him, instinktivly he pulled back his arm and connected a rolling punch that stopped the beast in mid air, he shook his hand as it stung like buggery after the blow. The creature got up snarling and circled Stag, he rolled up his sleeves, seeing as there was nothing to hand and escape was pretty impossible. The lizard lept and slashed him across the chest twice, Stag's vision blurred with pain but he grabbed the creature by the throat. It continued to attack his arms but he tore the charm from his neck and wrapped the band round the lizards neck and pulled till it lay still through oxygen deprivation.
He got up shaking a little, blood sliding down his chest and vision darkened, then his legs gave up on him and he folded at the knees.
OOC: NO man who used to be a butler will let someone who makes a mess get away with it. :D

The relief pured off Stag like cold steam, all of the worries and questions of the past few days melted away. He mentally kicked himself for ever doughting her, even the pain of his chest wound stopped in the face of her sweet tasting kiss. He savoured her lips and her body, somthing he had not done in a while, he deepened the kiss and pulled her in close to him as he wrapped his arms around her again.

The smell of chlorine and pool chemicals singed his nostrils as he drew in an awaking breath, and his eyes opened slowly to a now lit vision of what he had stared blankly into the night previous. Wiping the sand of sleep from his eyes he stood and yawned, then thrust his hands deep into his pockets for warmth. It was cold in the unheated poolroom, but staying there was free, and in his present state that suited him just fine. He slung his coat over his shoulders and stretched its denim cover over his shivering frame, then picked up his belongings and headed toward the club.

Before entering, Mercutio looked inside the french doors at the rear entrance of the club, to his chagrin, he noted a dismal torrent of wreckage strewn around like confetti at a homecoming parade. There were bits of sticks and glass sparkling like millions of tiny diamonds all over the place...
