Sighing from contentedness, Merc pulled the blankets up once again over their bodies and drew Jenny in close to his chest, placing his now empty cup on the floor at the foot of the bench, and wrapped his arms around her tightly. Their warm cheeks brushed against each other and Mercutio smiled with delight...*

*With a hiss the being flew back into him, the night eased up, and turned back to the dark navy colour it had been previously, as opposed to the pitch black. Jon shivered and sat down hard on the bank*

Orchid, please don't take it that way, I wasn't brushing you off... I'm just.... I don't know. I like you, you're one of the few people I've never argued with. You've always listened to me, always been kind to me, as you have to everyone. I just didn't want to dump my problems onto you. It'd feel like I'm taking advantage of how helpful you are.

She look around, and wonders what will have happened by the time she returns on Monday...*

*and so he sat in a chair that was much too small for him and stared at his goblin hosts, who stared back at him in amazement. for he had been resurrected by their goddess, Gidetisms, the goddess so few of them had ever seen before today, but all of them knew, from the stories their elders had told them when they were small children. and today they had witnessed a true miracle. Vex was their proof that they had seen a miracle. he was a mute, lumbering, thoughtless and wide-eyed miracle, but a miracle nonetheless*

*goblin number one slapped goblin number two upside the head and they both skittered silently across the snow covered grounds of the Paradise Club, making their way to a hedge row just outside the deck doors, near the pool*

“So, how will we know this Gael person when we see him?”

“I’m not entirely sure…”

The doors to the bar flew open with a gust of air. A hooded figure walked in with a huge malamute on a chain. The giant dog led the being inside. Upon closer inspection it was obvious that this was a young woman. She was wearing a black hood cloak, an onyx and platinum pendant, black elbow length gloves a black corset top, a black fairy skirt, fishnets, and high goth boots. On the woman's back there was a silver and onyx sword. Standing in the middle of the room the woman ordered the dog to sit. The beast obeyed. The woman then lowered her hood. He haird was short, to her jaw in the front and her nape in the back. It was jet black and layered. Her eyes were the same shade of black. She was very beautiful with a lither body, but something about her seemed predetory and wolf like. Smiling with her fangs showing, She announced.

"Venus is back for good!"

*She gaped stoically at the woman as she entered, then down to her drink*

That's it, Gael, old girl. No more alcohol for you.

Venus looked around. The place hadn't changed at all, unlike her. So much had happened since she left. She smiled sweetly at a women drinking.

"Gael, long time no see."

Venus unhooked the chain on Gogi neck and wrapped in around her waist. She then told him to go out back and play. Gogi panted happily and scampered off. Even after all they had been through, he still acted like a puppy. Venus then turned her attention back to Gael.

"So how have you been?"

OOC: I'm just going to pretend that I was sitting here all along.

IC: Damn, that's good tequila. Do you want a drink, Gael?
*She started at her drink for a minute, then back up at the figure in the doorway*

*goblin number one was on his hands and knees, while goblin number two prepared to climb on his back to see into the window. just then a huge dog poked its nose through the hedge row and gave them both a sniff*

"HOLY HANNAH!"

*the goblins scampered away at lightning speed, leaving the dog wondering what had happened. after a few minutes the young malamute became bored and wandered away*

"Phew...that was close..."

"I can't remember any more."

My. Well, Vex is back, though he is rumored to've jumped off a cliff. Tink has left us. Gide and myself had an encounter with Atreyu. She's much better now. Atreyu is gone. Peter's son went home and left Captian Baker with us. But he has since quit the service and is now a civilian. Vaga turned out to be somewhat evil. Lately the two of us just haunt this old place. A lot of people have left, and there are a lot of new ones. I think that just about covers everything, basically.

It seems all the old blood has left this place. It makes me sad I missed so much. The past while for me has been an up hill battle..."

Venus' expression turned very dark and her posture began very stiff. Then she abruptly relaxed and smiled, a little too brightly.

"What doesn't kill us makes us stronger, though."

Venus then downed the rest off her Guinness. "Um...could I have a screwdriver please?"

*the little goblins made their way up onto the snow covered deck and sneaked up to the glass doors, one of them on either side. They peered secretly into the club*

“One male human…doesn’t seem to be saying much. One female lycanthrope…in human form, though…snappy dresser. One female…hmmm…what do you think?”

“Wings…hands curled in to hide her talons, I would guess…cute, too.”

“Excuse me..?”

“Don’t know for sure…but she has the face of an angel…”

*they pressed their ultra-sensitive ears to the walls and listened…*

There was a look of longing and desperation in Venus' gaze. She looked as though she'd been through that simple meal would be better then anything in the world. She then sighed.

"I missed the human life so much."

No problem. I don't think Vex will mind if I cook as long as I clean up after myself. And if he does mind, I'll just reimburse him for the costs of the ingredients. It'll be about half an hour for the burger and the milkshake. The cake will take longer.

[runs in. Grabs two coats, a pair of sneakers and socks. Puts on one coat... runs downstairs and grabs the Katanas behind the bar and a flashlight. Runs back to the cliff... not seeing Gides there, he looks down and sees the dark stain where Vex once lay. Making his way down, Ju sees a cave. taking a deep breath, he enters the dark cavern]

Venus yawned and stretched as she woke up from her dreaming. She looked at Gogi's bed, but found he had already left. I was a shock to see him gone, in all the time since she last left she'd never been without him. Venus let out a long sigh, normality would take a while for her to achieve. Shaking her head, Venus got up out of bed. She shivered, her treehouse wasn't insolated. Concentrating Venus turned it into a real house in her oak tree. She then slipped on her boots, some baggy blue jeans, a red tank top, and black baggy hoodie. She then climbed out of the tree and headed into the club. No one was there, and she was hungry. Hoping Ves would understand, Vex how she missde him. Venus sighed sadly. Venus walked into the kitchen and cooked herself some breakfast. She then washed all the dishes and sat down to eat. IT had been two hours since she had woken and her stomach was growling louder then ever. Of course she couldn't remember the last time she had "real food".

Sitting in a booth Venus began to eat her breakfast. Being here, knowing time had passed...It made the past while far to real. Tears began to stream down Venus' face. Quietly and alone she sobbed, letting all her emotions relieve themselves of her soul.

*her thoughts swirled around her, tendrils pulling tantalizingly at her mind, then drawing back, intangible. Words flowed in front of her eyes..

Each brought a fresh wave of memories, which just as quickly disappeared as the next word took its place. She groaned in her unconscious state, unaware of the hard rock underneath her, only aware of the torture her mind was putting her through*

**wanders into the club for a moment. he had no intention of staying long, just checking on the preogress of things. he walks up to the bar and grabs his usual bottle of rum and look saround the place. empty, for the most part. a girl was in a booth over yonde sobbing to herself. she seemed familiar somehow, but he paid it little mind. seeing noone else, and no way to cause a little mischief, he shrugged and walks back out towards the forest. a bit of motion just to the right catches his eye**

**he sensed there was more to it than that, but descided it was best left for another time. he took a gulp of his rum and made his way back into the dark recesses of the forest**

Venus lifted her head. She'd been crying for along time and now she needed to mediate now. So Venus got up and went to her tree. Sitting in the snow she began to mutter things in Lycan and soon she was levitating with a blue-black aura around her.

Gogi walked around and sniffed near the hedges. The huge malamute was sure he had smelt something strange there the night before and he wanted to know what it was.

*If fatigue had driven her out of this place last night, it was boredom now that brought her back. She wandered to the bar for a pint and took a seat in the shadows*

*time passes very slowly when one is anticipating something to happen…and it doesn’t. the air around you gets colder. your eyelids get heavier. everyone’s fuses get shorter*

“Stake outs suck…”

*the two little goblins had been waiting in the snow for hours and hours in hopes of positively identifying the one known as Gael, but had little luck. they had spotted very few people this day and none had been helpful in the least bit. the day’s only excitement had been the return of the giant malamute, and that was excitement they could live without. but they were determined little buggers and would not return to the caves empty handed.*

“Look…!”

*the goblins peered in through the glass doors as the winged one entered and eventually sat down*

“C’mon. We’re going in.”

“But we can’t just waltz into the place. Someone might see us…”

“Then I suppose we’ll just have to drop in unexpectedly…”

*after exchanging evil grins, the goblins easily scaled the side of the Paradise Club and climbed onto the roof*

*She heard movement on the roof, a light scrabbling sound similar to the one her own claws made. Too light to be a person..interesting. She sipped her drink stoically*

*traveling through the air ducts of the club had been easy...it's what goblins do. and now the two little goblins looked through the wall grate, in upon the empty bar...empty, save for the strikingly beautiful winged creature sitting pensively over her drink*

*whispers lower than human ears can hear*

"We seek the one known as Gael..."

*they were becoming desperate. otherwise they would never have tried such a thing. but they had felt strongly the evening before, that this winged one could be, might be, the one they had been sent to find. so they got greedy*

Gogi observed the strange creatures. He wished to attack them but did not for he thought it best not too.

Venus sighed and sat down. "This has been a strange day.",She said to no one in particular. Strange was a relative term now, but she still remembered what average was, she thought.

**Vaga wanders back out of the woods, a cigarette resting between his lips. he stops short of the club and leans against a near-by tree, keeping an eye on the situation**

Deep in our caves where we reside peacefully, there is a newcomer...a human. This man was dead when the goblins found him. And now...he lives again...by the hands of the goddess. But she, Gidetisms, our high priestess, has summoned you, the one called Gael, to restore this man's soul"

"And that is all I know. Be you the same Gael of whom our Gidetisms spoke? And if so, will you follow us to our caves and tend to this human to whom our goddess is so endeared?"

*wordlessly, the two goblins quickly made their way across the snow covered ground, leaving no footprints, no traces of them being at the Paradise Club at all*

*the goblins made the descent of the cliffs quickly on foot, while Gael glided down seemingly with one thrust of her wings. when all had gathered at the bottom of the cliff, the goblins made double sure no one was lurking before they revealed the secret entrance to their caves. they led Gael through twisting tunnels and passageways before presenting her to their leader, who now sat as if he had known they were coming*

Gogi watched as Gael and the creatures left. He was not going to follow them, but after seeing Vaga go to, the huskie decided to follow. The huge dog slipped into the cavern behind Vaga.

Venus sat in the club. "Wow, am i ever bored."

Gogi followed Vaga deeper in to the cave searching for the creatures

*She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. A blue power seemed to glow around her and in the blink of an eye, she was gone.*

*Gael left behind the flesh and fabrication of the living world and approached the Gates of the Dead a chilling spectral form. She was little more than a faint glowing outline of skeleton, hung with the remains of tattered garments and decayed flesh. The Gates opened of their own accord to the Harbinger of Death. Dead souls floated aimlessly in the Abyss, some lamenting, some merely taking up space. They were in different states of decay. Some were pure skeleton, some missing bones, while others were as whole as they day she had collected them. The souls parted at her approach, each afraid to stray too near. She found the one she sought easily and with a hellish glow in her empty eye socket, beckoned it forward.*

*She drifted backward, one bony hand outstretched before the soul, leading it. She led in this manner all the way back to the cave, through layers of stone and pockets of air before finally arriving at the cavern which held the host. Ghostly, she drifted on her back through the ceiling ever leading. She drifted through the empty shell of a body where the soul would be trapped.*

*Exhausted, she made her way back up to the surface. She took on her usual appearance once more and lay on her back in the snow, utterly spent.*

Vex stood there now, looking out from where he had made his fatal leap only days before. A small group of goblins had shown him the way back up the steep cliff and then had bid him farewell and good luck*

She'd started doing most of the managerial jobs from her room but even when she'd gone down to the kitchen she'd been alone. She felt as though she was completely worthless with this new organization. She didn't know enough to manage and she had no real skills to do anything else useful, she was just fortunate enough to have a boss that liked her and was completely blind to her lack of talent.

There wasn't much use in bemoaning fate, especially when it had been relatively kind. Maybe she just needed to do something to keep her mind occupied, perhaps the lounge was unoccupied and she could play a little more on a real piano. She glanced at the keyboard she'd bough as early on as she could afford it, but it wasn't a real piano and if the place was empty enough she could enjoy a session instead of just tolerating it to keep her skills from completely decaying. She decided that she'd do that, so she grabbed a small stack of books and walked down to the lounge for a look around.

Scales, Schumann, Bartok, Debussy. It was a simple warm-up routine that felt natural to her. The Schumann and Bartok song-cycles were fascinating pieces that could sound amazing when played with proper articulation and at a decent speed, but no one could say that they were very difficult. The Debussy song-cycle was another story, it wasn’t a massive work that was impossible without unbelievable dexterity but it was fairly challenging due to incredible speed and tricky fingering, she still needed to work out a few kinks on several of the pieces. The entire warm-up took about a half-hour before she started practicing a much more challenging Etude in c# minor by Chopin.

Venus continued to swing on her swing. Gogi had gone off again Today she was wearing a light blue sun dress and her boots. The cold wind and snow were burning her skin as it turned the same color as the snow. Most people didn't like the cold, but after the past few months, little annoyances didn't bug her. Her thoughts drifted to it. The pain, the suffering. What had the elders called it, "The Grims Gauntlet"? Yes that was it. So much suffering on her part. Venus decided to get off the swing, but she was far too wrapped up in her thoughts to notice she was midair as she slipped off the seat. And so she crashed into the ground in front of the deck with a loud. THUNK!

He went and got her a cup of warm tea for that was all he could find*

I have nothing to reconsider, my strict pacifism disallows me from allowing anyone to come to harm by my lack of action. Also, you have told me nothing of this Sage's crime, and I am familiar, at least a little, with Gaeltach, and not with you.

Mmm... that doesn't seem to be the best solution to your problem. You should simply come back into contact with him and monitor him as you had done before. Killing him is unecessary.
